- 0:00Speaker 1: Today is National Name Your Car Day.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Does everybody have a name for their car?
- 0:06Speaker 1: I used to.
- 0:07Speaker 2: I think it's important to name your car. It gives
- 0:08Speaker 2: it a little personality. You don't name your car?
- 0:12Speaker 3: Oh, I name all my cars.
- 0:12Speaker 2: What's your current car's name?
- 0:14Speaker 3: My current car's name right now is Sylvie.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Mine is Mooshie. Thank you. We rhyme.
- 0:20Speaker 1: John Jay, what's the name of your car? Oh, thanks
- 0:21Speaker 1: for asking, Rich, because I'm the first one that said,
- 0:23Speaker 1: I named my car. I used to. Thanks. Thanks for asking.
- 0:25Speaker 2: You said I named my car.
- 0:25Speaker 1: I used to. I said I used to. They'd be, oh, really?
- 0:27Speaker 1: You did? What did you name the car?
- 0:28Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 0:28Speaker 1: There's a story behind it. I'm glad you asked. So
- 0:31Speaker 1: my first car I ever bought, it was a Grand
- 0:35Speaker 1: Jeep Cherokee. I named it Jake way before I had kids.
- 0:39Speaker 1: And here I have my son. My oldest son's name
- 0:41Speaker 1: is Jake.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Why did you name the car Jake?
- 0:43Speaker 1: Just because you liked that name?
- 0:43Speaker 3: No idea.
- 0:43Speaker 1: That was a cool name.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 0:45Speaker 1: And then I had a diary, and my diary's name
- 0:46Speaker 1: was Jake. And I used to write in my diary,
- 0:48Speaker 1: Dear Jake. Oh my gosh, it was like foreshadowing in
- 0:50Speaker 1: your life.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Isn't it wild? I guess so.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Go ahead, Rich.
- 0:52Speaker 2: That's great. National Smarties Day. Can you name your Smarties?
- 0:57Speaker 1: No, I eat them.
- 0:59Speaker 2: National Produce Misting Day. I don't know why that needs
- 1:01Speaker 2: a day. National Body Language Day, World Smile Day. And
- 1:05Speaker 2: I love these two. It's Guardian Angel Day. And my
- 1:08Speaker 2: favorite on the list is National Audiophile Day. That's right,
- 1:13Speaker 2: for the audio snobs that still say records sound better
- 1:16Speaker 2: than anything else, I am one of those people. National
- 1:19Speaker 2: Audiophile Day.
- 1:20Speaker 4: Have you guys ever completely freaked out, like really started
- 1:24Speaker 4: freaking out, and then realized you got the story totally wrong?
- 1:27Speaker 1: Because that happens. I think that happens a lot on
- 1:29Speaker 1: this radio show. Actually, with you and your news. What
- 1:33Speaker 1: are you talking about? How many times have you done
- 1:34Speaker 1: news where you're like, oh, wait a minute, I read
- 1:36Speaker 1: that wrong.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Yeah, a couple of times.
- 1:38Speaker 4: But this was, it was actually very scary.
- 1:41Speaker 2: So.
- 1:42Speaker 4: I don't really go on Facebook very often, but every
- 1:43Speaker 4: once in a while, Facebook sends me emails of like
- 1:45Speaker 4: things my friends post or things my friends are tagged in.
- 1:49Speaker 4: And sometimes it'll intrigue me and I'll click on it. Well,
- 1:51Speaker 4: I got that email just the other day and it said.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Jordan Schnitzer has died in a terrible, tragic accident. And
- 2:00Speaker 4: I was like, oh my God, that's one of my
- 2:02Speaker 4: really good friends' husbands. Like we're at their wedding. Like
- 2:05Speaker 4: they have four beautiful kids. Like they're an amazing family.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Like he's an amazing person. And I started like really
- 2:10Speaker 4: freaking out. Like, oh my gosh, what do I text her?
- 2:12Speaker 4: Like we haven't spoken in a long time because she
- 2:14Speaker 4: lives in a different state. Like, is it weird to
- 2:16Speaker 4: reach out to her? Cause I saw this post or
- 2:18Speaker 4: is it like one of those things that they're putting out? Like,
- 2:20Speaker 4: I just, I went down the rabbit hole of like,
- 2:22Speaker 4: oh my gosh, I have to like start. And I
- 2:23Speaker 4: literally start writing a text to her. Like, I just
- 2:26Speaker 4: saw the news. I'm so sorry. Like, if you need
- 2:29Speaker 4: us to fly out, we can fly out to be
- 2:30Speaker 4: with you and help, however. And I'm like, I feel
- 2:33Speaker 4: like maybe I need to click the story for whatever reason.
- 2:36Speaker 4: So I paused the text that I was writing her
- 2:39Speaker 4: and I clicked on the story and it was a
- 2:42Speaker 4: different Jordan Schnitzer.
- 2:44Speaker 1: What are the chances there's two Jordan Schnitzers?
- 2:46Speaker 5: And I'm like, why?
- 2:47Speaker 1: No relation?
- 2:48Speaker 4: Why would Facebook send this to me? I don't follow
- 2:50Speaker 4: this other person. I had no idea why like this
- 2:53Speaker 4: story had popped up, but I was like, thank God
- 2:55Speaker 4: I didn't send that text message because then that probably
- 2:58Speaker 4: would have made her go like, Then I picture her.
- 3:01Speaker 4: She's not with her husband. And she gets this news
- 3:03Speaker 4: from me that her husband died.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Oh, my God. I got that story totally wrong. Did
- 3:10Speaker 1: you tell her? Yeah.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Yes.
- 3:12Speaker 4: And so then I erased the text message. And I
- 3:14Speaker 4: was like, oh, my gosh, you're never going to believe this. Like,
- 3:17Speaker 4: I just received this message that Jordan died. But it
- 3:20Speaker 4: turns out it wasn't him.
- 3:21Speaker 1: So thank God.
- 3:22Speaker 4: But obviously, like, condolences to that family because that's really sad.
- 3:25Speaker 1: So Jordan, the Jordan you know is happy and healthy?
- 3:28Speaker 4: Yeah, he's doing great.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Do you know anything about that Jordan Schnitzer?
- 3:31Speaker 2: No.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I'm just curious, growing up, if his nickname was Wiener.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Wiener Schnitzer. Oh, interesting. He had to have heard that.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Of course he had. That's a tough name, Jordan Schnitzer.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a great guy. You wouldn't think there'd be
- 3:45Speaker 2: a bunch of them out there.
- 3:47Speaker 1: How did the other Jordan Schnitzer die?
- 3:48Speaker 4: It was a car accident.
- 3:50Speaker 1: It was like a really bad car accident.
- 3:52Speaker 4: And a bunch of people passed away in it, including Jordan.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Yeah, really sad. I'm looking at you tell the story,
- 3:58Speaker 1: and I'm looking at your hair because you got your
- 3:59Speaker 1: hair done.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Yes.
- 4:01Speaker 1: And it was a big deal. You're talking about your hair. Well,
- 4:03Speaker 1: I saw this while I was getting my hair done.
- 4:05Speaker 1: I was like sitting in the chair. I was like,
- 4:06Speaker 1: figure it out.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Okay, well, I totally forgot this, but yesterday was National
- 4:10Speaker 1: Hair Day, and I have a whole thing I never
- 4:12Speaker 1: got to. Today is National Hair Day.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Hair!
- 4:21Speaker 3: He's big, he's hairy, and he's sometimes smelly.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Everybody, just please watch the hair. Watch the hair! You
- 4:34Speaker 2: didn't sign the shampoo agreement.
- 4:36Speaker 1: How do I know if you double pooed? You thought
- 4:40Speaker 1: I was kidding.
- 4:46Speaker 2: That was yesterday.
- 4:50Speaker 1: And then I see this today. There's a clip going
- 4:52Speaker 1: viral from a girl, a woman that goes to great
- 4:55Speaker 1: clips because she likes to play what's called haircut roulette. Oh,
- 4:58Speaker 1: that's scary.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Listen to this. Listen to this.
- 5:01Speaker 5: I got my haircut today at great clips. And a
- 5:03Speaker 5: lot of women are probably thinking, why would you do that?
- 5:05Speaker 5: You never know what you're going to get.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 5:07Speaker 5: That's the fun part. It was like haircut roulette. So
- 5:10Speaker 5: I walk in and I'm like, hey, just a little trim,
- 5:12Speaker 5: just get the dead ends off. Lady's like, got it.
- 5:15Speaker 5: And before she gets out a brush to brush it
- 5:17Speaker 5: or a comb to part my hair, she just grabs
- 5:19Speaker 5: the scissors out and starts cutting. No parts, no nothing,
- 5:23Speaker 5: just starts cutting. And I was watching my hair hit
- 5:26Speaker 5: the floor like inch by inch by inch by inch.
- 5:28Speaker 5: And I was like, wow, we're making a wig for
- 5:30Speaker 5: somebody else today. We cut a lot off.
- 5:33Speaker 2: It's a lot. It's not a trim.
- 5:34Speaker 5: It's a whole new haircut.
- 5:35Speaker 3: But.
- 5:36Speaker 5: At the end of the day, I kind of like it.
- 5:38Speaker 1: You know what's funny about that is I think a
- 5:41Speaker 1: guy can do that because most guys have got short hair.
- 5:44Speaker 1: But like Kyle, you've got long hair. If they chopped
- 5:46Speaker 1: your hair off, you'd be freaked out, wouldn't you?
- 5:48Speaker 4: And that's why I do not play haircut roulette. Like
- 5:51Speaker 4: I go to Allison every time because I know what
- 5:53Speaker 4: I'm going to get. Because, yeah, no, every girl knows
- 5:56Speaker 4: that that's a dangerous situation.
- 5:57Speaker 1: My last haircut, I went to my barber and I
- 6:00Speaker 1: was just like, you know what, just cut it really,
- 6:01Speaker 1: really short. Just cut it short. So he used the
- 6:04Speaker 1: one and he cut it really short. And then when
- 6:06Speaker 1: I came home, my wife was, like, not into it.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Didn't like it. And I was, like, I haven't had
- 6:10Speaker 1: a haircut since, but I feel like it's grown back.
- 6:11Speaker 1: It's been, like, two weeks. It grows back fast. You
- 6:13Speaker 1: know what I mean?
- 6:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I know.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I know, but I can't imagine, like, Peyton, if you
- 6:15Speaker 1: cut all your hair off.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Oh, God, no. It would take forever. Right.
- 6:17Speaker 1: It takes forever for girls.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:19Speaker 3: And plus, like, I have curly hair, and so if
- 6:21Speaker 3: you do one wrong cut, then you're in bad shape.
- 6:24Speaker 3: But for her, like, it just makes me concerned about her. Like,
- 6:26Speaker 3: what is she going through that is making her do
- 6:28Speaker 3: haircut roulette?
- 6:28Speaker 1: That's so true.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Like, she must be really going through. Or super confident.
- 6:32Speaker 1: That is so true. I also thought for some reason,
- 6:35Speaker 1: they thought, like, women, and this, I don't know if
- 6:37Speaker 1: this is the sexiest thing to say, but I just
- 6:39Speaker 1: didn't picture, because women, all the women around me in
- 6:40Speaker 1: my life have always gone to places to get their
- 6:42Speaker 1: hair done. And I feel like great clips is, like,
- 6:46Speaker 1: for guys, like, simple. Like, short hair. You know what
- 6:49Speaker 1: I mean?
- 6:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, that's kind of like, I guess, the
- 6:51Speaker 4: reputation you would think of for that.
- 6:53Speaker 1: For kids, guys, like, I would expect, because women have,
- 6:56Speaker 1: and by the way, this video of her, she's got
- 6:58Speaker 1: really nice hair. Like, she's got hair like yours, Kyle.
- 7:00Speaker 1: She's into it. Yeah, I mean, yeah.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, no, she looks great. She does. And a
- 7:04Speaker 2: lot of women are.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Probably thinking, why would you do that? Yeah, she's got
- 7:05Speaker 1: a nice heritage.
- 7:06Speaker 3: So she's going through something.
- 7:07Speaker 1: So shout out to Great Clips.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. I mean, she's very adventurous.
- 7:10Speaker 4: I mean, like, you think about, like, it takes almost
- 7:12Speaker 4: four hours for me to get my hair done.
- 7:14Speaker 1: And so we could talk about a lot of things.
- 7:16Speaker 4: And so she was literally telling me the craziest story
- 7:18Speaker 4: about him. In her neighborhood, they don't let people park
- 7:21Speaker 4: on the road. And she's gotten her car towed before.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Oh, on the street in front of the house? Yeah, yeah.
- 7:26Speaker 4: And so she noticed that this young couple... was about
- 7:29Speaker 4: to leave the car on the side of the road.
- 7:31Speaker 4: And so she was like, I, and then I looked
- 7:33Speaker 4: down the road and the tow truck was there waiting
- 7:35Speaker 4: for them. Cause someone had already called to tell on
- 7:37Speaker 4: these people. She's like, so I thought I would go
- 7:39Speaker 4: over and give them a heads up to move their car.
- 7:43Speaker 4: She said she did. And when she did the tow
- 7:45Speaker 4: truck driver gave her a really evil eye, came, flipped
- 7:48Speaker 4: her off and followed her home, followed her home. And
- 7:52Speaker 4: she like, she's like, and I was kind of scared
- 7:54Speaker 4: to get out of my car. Cause like she lives alone.
- 7:56Speaker 4: And she's like, this is a really scary situation. He's
- 7:58Speaker 4: following me home. She said, I got out of my
- 8:00Speaker 4: car and like, and he goes, that was really nice
- 8:04Speaker 4: of you to do for those people.
- 8:05Speaker 2: And she's like, thanks.
- 8:07Speaker 4: And went inside and she's like, now I don't know.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Like, was he saying that was really nice of you
- 8:12Speaker 1: to do for those people? Like sarcastic, crazy or like,
- 8:15Speaker 1: she said it sounded really creepy.
- 8:18Speaker 4: And she's like, I didn't know because you know, that
- 8:19Speaker 4: tow truck driver is going to get money off of that.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Job and oh yeah she took money away from him i.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Wonder if like too like maybe there's a connection with
- 8:26Speaker 3: the hoa president and the tow truck driver like maybe
- 8:28Speaker 3: they maybe they own the tow.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Truck business maybe also if you think somebody followed you
- 8:33Speaker 2: why would you go home.
- 8:34Speaker 4: That's right i should have said that what were you.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Thinking you need to be safe yeah that's i would
- 8:39Speaker 2: drive right to the police station if i thought i
- 8:41Speaker 2: was being followed who knew.
- 8:42Speaker 1: We're gonna hear that story on national hair day wow
- 8:45Speaker 1: tow truck and you know what's funny Oh, when you
- 8:47Speaker 1: say toe, I think T-O-E. Of course you do. Not T-O-W.
- 8:53Speaker 1: How's there not an Instagram page on that? Famous tow
- 8:56Speaker 1: truck drivers with nice feet. T-O-E.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Toes, toes.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Toes, toes. Yeah.
- 9:01Speaker 1: All right. It's John Jay and Rich.
