In the Realm of the Senses (Breakdown & Pairings)
This week we cover Nagisa Oshima's controversial 1976 film, "In the Realm of the Senses." We discuss the filming of the unsimulated sex scenes, the difficulties in casting a male willing to show all of himself, and add some cultural context to many of the film's more complicated scenes. After we break the movie down, we each pair the film with another. Thank you so much for listening!
