On March 25, 1911, a terrible fire broke out at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory in New York City, which turned out to be one of the worst industrial disasters in the history of the United States. It all started, most likely, from a discarded cigarette, and it quickly spread through the upper floors of the Asch Building.
