A three-year-old girl, Briella Holmes, died after becoming trapped in a secondhand wooden toy kitchen at a babysitter’s home. Her head was stuck inside the playset while she tried to retrieve fallen toys; her sibling witnessed it, and her babysitter’s spouse rushed to free her and began CPR before emergency responders arrived. Despite efforts, Briella died four days later from positional asphyxia. Authorities are still investigating whether the toy’s design contributed to the tragedy, with no charges filed yet.
