  [SPEAKER_00]: We teased it earlier, but now it's time to talk about that walker little trade idea from Bill Barnwell of ESPN.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I've got to say a couple of things about these potential trade ideas.

  [SPEAKER_00]: A, I do really appreciate how much of an explanation Bill Barnwell gives, I mean, he's right in paragraphs about these potential trades.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So he's really giving it a lot of thought, and I do appreciate that too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's just really cool to see the jag wars in these talks, like

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's a couple of layers to that, but like James Gladstone is just willing to wheel in deal, not willy-nilly, not just for the sake of doing it, but because he believes in his process, because he believes if I make this trade, it can help us in this regard, and I'm not gonna be scared, excuse me, to be bold, to be aggressive, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: We talked about earlier the Brian Thomas Junior potential trade,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar's trading BTJ and a fifth round pick to the bills for Keon Coleman and a first round pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: As much as that first round pick sounds great.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I personally am riding with BTJ on this one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would not be surprised if James Gladstone, if this type of trade came across the email or phone or whatever chat, like if somebody offers this type of trade to James Gladstone, it would not be surprised if he took it, because it's not just getting that first round pick, it's what can I do with that first round pick?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I could stick and pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I could get aggressive to package a couple picks to go up and get somebody I really want.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I could trade down for more draft capital.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I could trade that first round pick for a veteran that I think can really upgrade our team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: My thing is if you trade Brian Thomas Jr., you have got to replace that vertical speed on offense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's a non-negotiable in my opinion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: talked about a walker little trade, and I know Jack spans everywhere, fired up to hear about a potential walker little trade.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I have been of the mindset that as far as trading walker little, I just don't know why another team would take on his salary.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, if you take on his salary, which we'll just talk about it here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: walk a little contract, he is under contract through 20, 20, 7, his

  [SPEAKER_00]: Capit in 2026 is 14.5 million.

  [SPEAKER_00]: His capit in 2027 is 15.5 million.

  [SPEAKER_00]: However, there is a team out after the 2026 season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So really, if you're trading for him, you're only locked in through 2026.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But that's a big number to take on.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And it's not a big number to take on for a starting caliber player, at the offensive tackle position, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: But it's a big number to take on, based on what you saw from Walker little on the field last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, he just was not a starting caliber player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he was a very good backup.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so like, if the Jaguars decide to keep him, as a sixth man that can play tackle or guard, yeah, that makes sense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously it's more money than you'd like to be spending, but it is what it is.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But let's take a look at what Bill Barnwell has here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Browns get offensive tackle, walker little, in a 2027 seventh round pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar's get a 2026 fifth round pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And again, it's not just the fact that you get a fifth round pick, it's the fact that that fifth round pick is then another piece you can use to potentially make a big time swing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Here's what Barnwell writes, and again, I really appreciate the length he goes to on these.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Coach Liam Cohen and GM James, Gladstone enjoyed his successful first season in Jacksonville, but there's plenty of work to be done this offseason.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Rebuilding Trevor Lawrence's line was important for the first time at Coach and General Manager.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The new regime inherited a little at left tackle from former GM Trent Balkey, signed little to a 3-year, $40.5 million extension to December 2024, after just a handful of starts on the blind side.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jack did the same thing with Colvane Lane in this past year, I'll just say that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Little never really seemed comfortable within this offense in 2025, absolutely agree.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Per NFL, Nick, Jen Statsy allowed 7 and a half sacks in 57 pressures in 12 games, at left tackle for suffering a concussion, in his absence, back up Colvane Lane and was impressive enough at left tackle to earn a 3 year 51 million dollar contract.

  [SPEAKER_00]: When little returned late in the season, Van Lannon said it left tackle and little filled in at guard for the injured Patrick McCary, Van Lannon missed the Jaguar's loss to the bills in the wildcard round, during which little kicked out to left tackle one more time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't seem like, it doesn't seem like little is in Jacksonville's plans.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If Van Lannon is at left tackle, that would leave Robert Hainesy at center, Anton Harrison at right tackle, McCary at one of the guard spots.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Who is in the final year of his deal, but third round pick why at mylam is likely to have the inside path to that role, which I think is fair, he being little or you know, a draft draft pick, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Keeping Little as a swing tackle and utility lineman is also an option, but paying $12 million in 26 for that privilege doesn't seem like the best use of Jacksonville's

  [SPEAKER_00]: A little should also have, it's not about cash because the Jaguars don't care about the cash.

  [SPEAKER_00]: A little should also have some modest trade value because of his age.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Remember that Jaylin Moore who served as the backup left tackle for the 49ers behind Trent Williams signed a $2,000,000,000 deal with the Chiefs in Pro Agency of Yerga.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You can not trust him against top past pressures in this league right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he can work through it, maybe he can get better, but that's what you saw most recently.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, Jaylen Moore what you saw recently was good play.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Walk a little what you saw recently was not good play.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, it's a different little bit of experience there in my opinion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now, to be fair, walk a little hash shown in the past before 2020 sick, or student before 2025, that he can play left tackle at a high level, but he just hasn't done that recently.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Barnwell continues, I'm not sure little is even an average left tackle, but maybe he settles in at that level on the right side or at guard.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They've tried him out right tackle and it looked less comfortable at right tackle than it did at left tackle, but you never know.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The good news is the Browns need starters everywhere.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Cam Robinson, Jack Conchland, Joel Bittonio, Wyatt Teller, and Ethan Pochich are all free agents while tackle DeWand Jones missed most of 2025 because of a hamstring and knee injuries and is entering the final year of his deal.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Little would step in at one of those many openings for the Browns upfront.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I guess that makes sense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Browns need a lot of help, so they're gonna have to look and all sorts of different places to get help on the offensive line.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't advise a team trade for Walker Little.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So if the Jaguar can get something for Walker Little, I think it makes sense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a very good six man to have.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But the cap situation with him, contract situation, combined with the fact that I just don't view him as a good starter, kind of colors that in a way where if you're the Jaguars, and you can get something for him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you do that, I think you move on from him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You move on from Chuma Adoga.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Sign a veteran and draft at least one offensive linemen in the way the Jaguars operate They've been adding a lot of players that can play tackle or guard, which I would like to continue to see them operate in that world Guys that play tackle in college that you think can play guard for you or vice versa, so Yeah, if I'm the Jags and I can trade Walker little Obviously you're giving up a seventh round pick, but you're also getting a fifth round pick back I think that that's fair

  [SPEAKER_00]: I do think in all likelihood Walker little is better than a player you can get in the fifth round at offensive tackle or offensive line in general.

  [SPEAKER_00]: However, that player is going to have a much cheaper deal and they're going to be a backup, right?
