- 0:00Speaker 1: Chapter sixty of the separateness of the divine and the
- 0:04Speaker 1: undivined Krishna, fearlessness, singleness of soul, the will always to
- 0:11Speaker 1: strive for wisdom opened hand and governed appetites and piety,
- 0:16Speaker 1: and love of lonely study, humbleness, uprightness, heed to endure,
- 0:22Speaker 1: nought which lives, truthfulness, slowness, unto wrath. A mind that
- 0:28Speaker 1: lightly leteth go what others. Prize and equanimity and charity,
- 0:34Speaker 1: which spireth no man's faults, and tenderness towards all that suffer.
- 0:39Speaker 1: A contented heart fluttered by no desires, a bearing mild, modest,
- 0:45Speaker 1: and grave, with manhood nobly mixed with patience, fortitude and purity,
- 0:51Speaker 1: an unrevengeful spirit never given to rate itself too high.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Such be the signs, O Indian Prince, of him whose
- 0:59Speaker 1: we are set on that fair path which leads to
- 1:03Speaker 1: heavenly birth. Deceitfulness and arrogance, and pride, quickness to anger,
- 1:09Speaker 1: harshened evil speech, and ignorance to its own darkness. These
- 1:14Speaker 1: be the signs, my friends, of whose birth is fated
- 1:18Speaker 1: for the regions of the wild, the heavenly birth brings
- 1:22Speaker 1: to deliverance, so shouldst thou know the birth with asuras
- 1:27Speaker 1: brings into bondage. Be thou, joyous prince, whose lot is
- 1:32Speaker 1: set apart for heavenly birth. Two stamps there or mark,
- 1:36Speaker 1: and all living men divine and divine. I speak to
- 1:40Speaker 1: thee by what monks thou shouldst know? The heavenly man
- 1:46Speaker 1: hear from me now of the unhavenly they comprehend. Not
- 1:50Speaker 1: the unheavenly households go forth from me, nor how they
- 1:55Speaker 1: come back unto me. Nor is the truth in these,
- 1:58Speaker 1: nor purity, no rule of life. This world hath not
- 2:02Speaker 1: a law, nor order, nor a lord, so say they,
- 2:07Speaker 1: nor hath risen up by cause, following on cause, imperfect purpossing.
- 2:13Speaker 1: But is none other than house of lust and this
- 2:17Speaker 1: thing thinking. All those weened ones of little wit, dark minded,
- 2:23Speaker 1: give themselves to evil deeds, the curses of their kind,
- 2:27Speaker 1: surrendered to desires, insatiable, full of deceitfulness, folly and pride,
- 2:34Speaker 1: in blindness, cleaning to their errors. Caught into the sinful course,
- 2:39Speaker 1: they trust this lie as it were true, this lie
- 2:42Speaker 1: which leads to death, finding in pleasure all the good
- 2:46Speaker 1: which is, and crying here it finisheth Ensnard in uses
- 2:52Speaker 1: of a hundred idle hopes, slaves to their passion and
- 2:55Speaker 1: their wrath. Theyby wealth it based deeds to glut deputies.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Thus much today they say, we gained thereby such and
- 3:06Speaker 1: such wish of heart shall have its fill, And this
- 3:10Speaker 1: is ours, and the others shall be ours. Today we
- 3:14Speaker 1: slew a foe, and we will say our other enemy tomorrow.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Look are we not lots? Make we not goodly? Cheer?
- 3:22Speaker 1: Is not our fortune? Famous? Brave and great? Rich? Are
- 3:25Speaker 1: we proud? Bond? What other men live like to us?
- 3:29Speaker 1: Kill them for sacrifice, cast glgas and beamerry. So they speak,
- 3:35Speaker 1: darkened by ignorance, and so they fall, tossed to and
- 3:39Speaker 1: fro with projects, tricked and bound in net of black delusion,
- 3:44Speaker 1: lost in less, down to foul anaraka, conceited, fawned, stubborn
- 3:50Speaker 1: and prout dead, drunken with the wine of wealth, and reckless.
- 3:54Speaker 1: All their offerings have but a show of reverence, being
- 3:58Speaker 1: not made in quiety of ancient faith. Thus out to self, food, force, insolence, feasting, wrath.
- 4:07Speaker 1: These my blasphemers, in the forms they wear and in
- 4:11Speaker 1: the farms they breathe, My foemen, are hateful and hating
- 4:15Speaker 1: cruel evil. Why the least of whom I cast down
- 4:19Speaker 1: again and at again at end of lives into some
- 4:23Speaker 1: devilish womb. Whence birth by birth, the devilish wombs respawned
- 4:28Speaker 1: them all big ill and till they find and worship me,
- 4:33Speaker 1: my sweet prince, tread they not nether row the doors
- 4:38Speaker 1: of hell, or threefold, whereby men to ruin pass the
- 4:42Speaker 1: door of lust, the door of wrath, the door of avaries.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Let a man shun these three. He who shall turn
- 4:49Speaker 1: aside from entering all those three gates of Narat wendeth
- 4:53Speaker 1: straight to find his peace, and comes to Sarga's gate.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Here ended Chapapter sixteen of the bagwad Gita entitled They
