- 1:49again. Hear from everybody.
- 1:52Hope you're all doing well. And I hope you're enjoying your
- 1:56coming into the, the springtime months of the year.
- 2:00You know, at least for us, here, in the Northern Hemisphere.
- 2:05And most of the Parts of the US, at least, you know, things are
- 2:09starting to warm up. Things are starting to think
- 2:11about, at least, moving towards Springtime weather.
- 2:15Although here in Middle Tennessee, At least by the time
- 2:21this podcast airs. We are looking at perhaps a
- 2:25pretty good, you know, strong cold snap coming through.
- 2:31I think the day is supposed to start out like up around, 70
- 2:35degrees Fahrenheit and by the time the evening rolls around,
- 2:39it's going to be dropping like 50 degrees with the chance of
- 2:43snow. So we ain't there yet, but, you
- 2:49know, earlier last week, and over the weekend, I think even
- 2:55had the air conditioning on, you know, and right now it's it's
- 3:00cold. It's rainy.
- 3:02So, definitely got to keep up on those vitamins in the the
- 3:07Vitameatavegamin. 'S and keep that immune system
- 3:12boosted, you know what I'm saying?
- 3:14Drink plenty of fluids vitamin C.
- 3:17Orange juice tea, Mead whiskey, whatever.
- 3:22Whatever it is that you like to sip on stay healthy out there
- 3:29actually got a pretty pretty cool show lined up actually a
- 3:36couple of good shows coming up. We've had some people either
- 3:39call into the you know hotline or L into the show and bring up
- 3:47some pretty neat things. So we're going to be hearing
- 3:50from Chad Nevada, Nevada, Nevada.
- 3:55I guess it depends on where you're from and who you ask, but
- 4:01you know that that Western State going to be hearing from him
- 4:05later on in the show and he's got a pretty good question.
- 4:09I think that was intended as this like a, you know, if you
- 4:13get a chance, you know, you want to call me or text me or talk
- 4:16about this, but I think it's a good topic to have, you know, up
- 4:19here for everybody. To listen to and to you know,
- 4:24share your thoughts about because I'm sure it impacts or
- 4:28something like it or exactly like it impacts a lot of
- 4:34families, a lot of different ways.
- 4:35So we're going to be hearing about that later on in the show
- 4:38but I did just want to kind of give you guys an update on a few
- 4:44things around here. Things going on here and in my
- 4:47area with our tribe. So has some of you may know the
- 4:55one of the major feasts or major, holy tides at that we
- 5:01know of historically. As as having been celebrated in
- 5:05ancient, you know, Germanic tribes, would celebrate, maybe
- 5:08not all of the Germanic tribes but in at least in the certain
- 5:12areas of is, was singer bloat. It was big with the swedes.
- 5:17I'm not mistaken. See, you could upload.
- 5:20It was like the the summer coming of Summer Victory.
- 5:24Blowed his Is is what it's historically referred to either
- 5:28the swedes of the Norwegians, have to look back at my sources.
- 5:31Again, drawing a blank on that one, but anyway, every year, our
- 5:35tribe for the last, like a couple years, I think this would
- 5:38be our second or third year, holding a cigarette boat thing
- 5:46at our go, these parents property, and we have typically,
- 5:55Had a big fire and and hold ritual and stuff around are Vey
- 6:01which is out there I guess said on dingoes parents property and
- 6:06this year. So every year we when we when we
- 6:09plan to do it we always go up there ahead of time a couple
- 6:13weeks prior at least and make sure that the grounds are
- 6:16prepared, right? Any wood that we need to cut
- 6:21mainly for like the fire because we always Always Source the wood
- 6:26off of the property, like we never just go by bundles of wood
- 6:29or whatever, like we literally go out there and cut wood from
- 6:32Deadfall. No, chainsaws.
- 6:35Just, you know, straight up like saws and axes, you know, the old
- 6:38old school way, so that's kind of become our like free ritual.
- 6:43Ritual will will go out there, and we'll prepare the land and
- 6:47scope things out, and make sure everything's in order and, and
- 6:51then, you know, in anticipation of the event.
- 6:53So, see, Your boat this year is in mid-april and you know, it
- 6:58varies a bit from year to year, of course, based off of the
- 7:02lunar cycle. But you know when the full moon
- 7:07hits on the Goa month so you know, go out on my own either.
- 7:15So with we are going out a couple of weeks prior to the
- 7:19event, we're actually going to be going up.
- 7:21I think this year it's April 16th.
- 7:23That is the first night of firsts.
- 7:25Low and we're going to be out there on that night like on the
- 7:30first night in April. So we're going up there a few
- 7:33weeks prior, we're going up there because at the end of this
- 7:35month and we're going to camp out overnight which we've never
- 7:40done. We've usually just gone up
- 7:42there. Spent the day, you know, doing
- 7:44our thing and you know, have a fire and maybe not even non.
- 7:52We usually yeah, sometimes we've had a fire think and then left.
- 7:55Left, you know, either that that night or the following day, or
- 8:01spent like spent the night at his parents house, you know.
- 8:05But this time we're going to go out there and we're going to do
- 8:09our thing and we're going to Camp the last time we camped up
- 8:15there was in November of last year.
- 8:17So it was like 28 degrees, great, great experience.
- 8:22It was it was more than just a camping trip.
- 8:24It was It was a Virtual Journey. So, you know, sleeping out in
- 8:28the cold, like that was invigorating.
- 8:31And so, of course, you know, end of March beginning close to the
- 8:35beginning of April, I suspect that we will be dealing with
- 8:38much milder temperatures probably a bit more comfortable
- 8:42for for camping out in and it's going to be, you know, me and
- 8:47Dingo and our last speaker Patrick and then dingoes
- 8:52daughter, it's going to be joining us as well.
- 8:54So we're going to You know, clearing the property, getting
- 8:56things ready for, you know, the actual ritual in, you know,
- 8:59later on in the month of April and have, you know, family time
- 9:07with dangle side of the family's daughter then at the end of the
- 9:11day. Sure, we'll have like a cookout
- 9:13or something. Usually do something along those
- 9:16lines and then camp out up there and just enjoy nature looking
- 9:23forward to that and I think that's going to be a really
- 9:26wholesome and important part of preparing for the singer blood
- 9:30ritual because it falls at the same this time he that that time
- 9:33of year or this year when it falls specifically is the same I
- 9:38think weekend or might even be the same day or within a day or
- 9:40two of dingoes parents wedding anniversary, you know, so
- 9:48celebrating that Celebrating the actual event, you know, sewer,
- 9:52blow, it's like it all lines up perfectly.
- 9:54It's, you know, it's a victory bloat and in traditional times
- 9:59when it was celebrated, it was, you know, to celebrate the
- 10:03victory for, you know, in in, in battle, or in combat, or in, you
- 10:10know, Victor through in growing good, crops for the year and all
- 10:13this other kinds of things. But it's, you know, for us,
- 10:16we're not going to Battle or anything like that.
- 10:20And and but like dingoes parents, his mom, especially
- 10:25does do some gardening and has herb gardens and things that she
- 10:30wants to have you know good crops for and then it's
- 10:35literally their wedding anniversary.
- 10:36So there we are celebrating multiple victories.
- 10:41This this this year. So got a lot to look forward to
- 10:45with that coming up in the spring.
- 10:46And I know that a lot of not just like Germanic heathens, but
- 10:50other pagans of other views of other world views of other
- 10:56polytheistic approaches to things are looking at this time
- 11:01of the year that we're going into around, you know, the
- 11:04Spring Equinox and, and all this looking at some of those other
- 11:11Celebrations, that happened in the springtime.
- 11:13It's a very refreshing time of the year, right?
- 11:18You know, we've spent the last x amount of months in a time of
- 11:23darkness and then the time of cold and in a time of you know,
- 11:27dormancy and isolation as it were, and Now those those those
- 11:34days are changing and we are seeing the rebirth of Yoda, the
- 11:40other Rebirth of the land, and the things that, you know, bring
- 11:44so much warmth and life are coming back to life.
- 11:47They are returning to us. And, you know, being a part of
- 11:51that cycle, living during that cycle.
- 11:55You know, puts a lot of things to me, or for me into into
- 11:58perspective. You know, when So much.
- 12:04Outside of the world and in the outside world is going on.
- 12:07I mean, looking at the state of things that the world that we
- 12:12are living right now, the state that the world is in is, you
- 12:15know, it's really depressing you start focusing on all of that
- 12:19stuff, you know, and it can really bring it down and I don't
- 12:24know. Like I've I found that kind of
- 12:28siphoning off certain things, filtering things out.
- 12:33Not having such a wide view of the world.
- 12:36I don't mean like you know, stay isolated and not pay attention
- 12:39to the major things that are happening.
- 12:41You obviously want to pay attention to what's going on.
- 12:43But to what extent does worrying about stuff, really do any good,
- 12:51you know, I'm not saying just let things happen and not care.
- 12:56But again it's a relative and it's all about the, you know,
- 12:58putting things into perspective, what I see happening close to me
- 13:03and my nearest and dearest is what I'm most concerned about.
- 13:06You know, we recently had an opportunity to help some people
- 13:14are tribe, you know, potentially help.
- 13:15Some people with a really major thing that they're experiencing.
- 13:22Like spiritually wise, you know what I'm saying?
- 13:26And and this this Aid that we were called to start it off with
- 13:33really just one person who is he's my brother man.
- 13:37I won't say nothing bad about the guy here.
- 13:39He's my brother, he's not Pagan, he's definitely not what we
- 13:43would consider Pagan but he's definitely the most Pagan non
- 13:47Pagan that I know or at least one of them might have him on
- 13:50the podcast one day. We've talked about it in, you
- 13:53know, a few different conversations.
- 13:55Where was I? When you going to have me on
- 13:57brother and I said when you want to come on you know and there's
- 14:00just been a lot going on in his life here, probably since
- 14:05October. I would say is when things
- 14:08really started to end of October beginning in November ever since
- 14:13then it's just it's just been a whirlwind for the guy so not
- 14:16sure when he'll be coming on but eventually I think we'll get him
- 14:19on here and it started with him coming to me saying somebody's
- 14:25looking for you. To help them with something and
- 14:30he gave me the spiel about you know, what the deal was.
- 14:32I'm not going to go into details about it yet and I'm just going
- 14:35to keep it pretty open-ended, but bottom line is, you know,
- 14:40when when, when he came to me about this, he was like I'm
- 14:45coming to you because when the guy that Went to my brother said
- 14:54that he wanted me. My brother Gene.
- 14:57He was like I got to bring this to my tribe, this isn't as
- 15:02something that I can speak on anyone's behalf, I need to go to
- 15:06My Tribe and he came to me and I can and I brought it in front of
- 15:09everybody else and then turns out you know we got a little
- 15:14get-together plan to lunch date as it were playing with us
- 15:19members of the tribe and this family and some of their close
- 15:23friends at least. Yeah.
- 15:24One of their close friends and probably Jean to to get to know
- 15:28them a little bit more. I know to the people that need
- 15:31the help that, you know, the one guy was asking for, it's a
- 15:34husband and wife in their family, like I've met them
- 15:38before one time. But that one, that one encounter
- 15:43that one meeting what, you know, sparked something to want to.
- 15:50Call out for help from somebody that you know they they felt was
- 15:54was trustworthy enough to provide that help and then when
- 15:57I say hey this is this is more than just me.
- 16:02You know, there's there's, I can only do so much, I'm going to
- 16:05need some some help with this myself, do you trust me to go
- 16:08into my tribe and talk about this?
- 16:10And they say yes it's like now the rest of the world's problems
- 16:14don't even matter as much, right?
- 16:19That because of the perspective of things have changed now.
- 16:21It's like now we have an opportunity to, you know,
- 16:24hopefully positively impact and influence a families.
- 16:31Life who have potential to be, you know, become part of our
- 16:38tribe and it's not something that we look to do like
- 16:40forcefully, right? Like we're not, this is not why
- 16:42we're doing it, we're doing it because we want to help and
- 16:46because they came to us me at first, but, you know, I look at
- 16:50it as an us thing, you know. They're, they're putting their
- 16:53trust into us to do a thing. And so, to prove that Worth to
- 16:59them and to and to allow Worth to be measured by these people.
- 17:04That's how worth is measured, right?
- 17:06It's not how much good. We know we do of ourselves
- 17:09that's how much, how much good we are, is put on us by other
- 17:14people. Worth is placed upon us by, by
- 17:16our people, and so it's like a were thing thing, you know,
- 17:22like, it's the thing to worth us and it gives us a lot of
- 17:27opportunity to strengthen our tribes luck.
- 17:30So that's what I look at. That's what I look at when all
- 17:34this other crap is going on in the world, you know, I I look at
- 17:38the things that are in front of me and around me and I go, huh.
- 17:44I got things to worry about here.
- 17:47Not like worry worry about, I mean like I have things to focus
- 17:50on. I have things that I should be
- 17:53putting my mind and focus and attention on.
- 17:55Not you know what's happened halfway across the world.
- 18:01And again, not not to make light of any of this of the terrible
- 18:07things that are going on around us.
- 18:08But okay, I hope, you know, you have one or two things you could
- 18:11do put all your focus and attention on all that and we're
- 18:14in about it and not being able to immediately do anything or
- 18:19you can recognize that it's their take, you know, note of it
- 18:22and do with it. That is that as a healthy
- 18:25measure. But then really look at.
- 18:27Okay. Okay, what is what is going on
- 18:30in front of me? But it On around me, what's
- 18:32happening? Close by that I can put my
- 18:37energy and focus into and do something good with it, you
- 18:39know. So, there's a little little
- 18:43thing that's that that luncheon dates happening, this weekend.
- 18:47This, this week that this podcast is airing, this
- 18:51Saturday, we're supposed to all be meeting up and having lunch
- 18:53together and get to know each other and coming up with a game
- 18:55plan on how we can help these people and do the thing.
- 19:01That they are asking to be done. So with all that and then, you
- 19:07know, preparing for Seger bloat coming up next month at the, you
- 19:10know, Bike by camping and preparing to land at the end of
- 19:12this month. So many cool things going on.
- 19:14That are about, you know, Community Building and try
- 19:20building and Worthing and all of the things that make up what I
- 19:25feel is at the, at the very root of heathen re, you know, at the
- 19:34heart of heathen re is the Home in the Hearth.
- 19:36And we're going to How to get into that here in just a minute.
- 19:40When we listen to this call from Chad, out in Nevada, that came
- 19:46in last week, or actually, I think this is a, this came in a
- 19:51couple of weeks ago, if I'm not mistaken.
- 19:55But yeah, you know the heart of heathen re is is sending the
- 19:58Hearth, the home, the family, but without a strong family,
- 20:05there's no real basis for an extension of family to be built
- 20:10upon. You know, I mean, when I said
- 20:14before about you know, what we're doing as a tribe to help
- 20:16these people who are not part of our tribe will that ultimately
- 20:21determine you know that they become part of the tribe.
- 20:24Who I was like, again, it's not something that you force, it has
- 20:26to be something that is organic and we don't go into things
- 20:30looking to recruit people for lack of a better term.
- 20:36You know, where we're not out here, Middle Tennessee,
- 20:39flaunting anything to try and build up members.
- 20:42I mean, our our tribe as it is right now has Stayed in its
- 20:48number. Almost since the day it was
- 20:54announced that it's a thing. You know, there were that weird
- 20:56thing, not lost any members or anyone, you know, we haven't
- 21:01gained any either. So it's one of those things that
- 21:04I think is Cassie how, you know, got a when you first start
- 21:09something, it started off nurture, it started start a
- 21:13slow, don't rush into things and don't try to just be like all of
- 21:18a sudden all we got have 25 people, minimum and whatever,
- 21:20right? Like if that's your network and
- 21:23you have those resources to be able to Tap into and it becomes
- 21:29that thing and it's organic way, then great, you know, that
- 21:34wasn't our situation and to try and make it that situation just
- 21:38felt like we were or we would have been just pushing things a
- 21:44bit too hard and not allowing it to become the organic thing that
- 21:50it has and is today. So we'll see ultimate ultimately
- 21:56what we are doing. For is to help people who who
- 22:00ask for it. So and they seem like good
- 22:04enough people and, you know, friends of our tribe and or
- 22:10members of our tribes will definitely, probably be talking
- 22:15more about that. When, and as things progress, I
- 22:19will see as I know talking about this types of things, leave some
- 22:25juicy tidbits hanging around for later on to I'm back and say,
- 22:28what was that? What was that?
- 22:29What we talked about? Yeah, what's going on with that?
- 22:32Well, we'll see. You shall see.
- 22:37So yeah, secret blow. That's the camping, of course,
- 22:42that's coming up at the end of this month to get ready for all
- 22:46those things. Hope you guys are, are thinking
- 22:49of ways to celebrate, you know, the return of the light with the
- 22:54return of the warmth, the return of Sona return of Baldur.
- 22:59Sometimes people will think of this time of year, as you know,
- 23:03the Ragnarok cycle, We're Boulder returns and all this.
- 23:08It's me. And now of course, other
- 23:10polytheistic faiths that, that have this cyclic, you know,
- 23:16rebirth recycle. Motif for our belief system.
- 23:25You know how it comes back around all the time and there's
- 23:28this that rebirth, hope you guys are looking forward to that.
- 23:33And coming up with things to celebrate and do with friends
- 23:36family, maybe kindred's tribes covens, whatever.
- 23:41So I do want to do want us to listen to a call that came in.
- 23:49Like I said before, this His name is Chad.
- 23:57Chad from Nevada. and, Think. Is that the one?
- 24:16Now, that's tough. I think that's the one.
- 24:24But yeah, Chad from Nevada. See what he has to say.
- 24:34So get his call pulled up here. All right.
- 24:39Cool. Yeah here we go.
- 24:42Hey Jessie name's Chad. I'm out here in Gardnerville
- 24:46Nevada, man. I really appreciated and enjoyed

- 25:20well. Hey, you got a couple questions
- 25:23for you one. Hey, if you know anybody out
- 25:26here in Nevada, I've been doing the Heathen walk for a couple
- 25:29months now. And just really looking to try
- 25:31and hook up with a group of some like-minded individuals and
- 25:36obviously with coming from a law enforcement side needing to stay
- 25:39away as far away from any of the crazies out there that do this
- 25:45off our race and crap like that. So, I mean question.
- 25:49Yeah. So Real quick before we go

- 26:28I have a couple of people that I know in California the Pacific
- 26:34Northwest, you know? So that's the northern American
- 26:38Nordic Society or Nan's Mike. Check them out.
- 26:42They may have some folks out there in that neck of the woods.
- 26:47But yeah, Gardner Gardnerville Nevada people or anywhere in
- 26:52that surrounding area check in and let us know where you're at
- 26:57is like I said, I've been doing this.
- 26:59I only been into it for a few months now.
- 27:02I've been doing studying for a few years kind of finally came
- 27:06to a head last couple months, but my wife is still very very
- 27:11devout Christian, very conservative Christian and
- 27:15that's kind of how she have two kids Small kids.
- 27:18And that's how she's been pretty hardcore raising those kids, and
- 27:21it's like, you're transitioning. This man, I just wanted to ask
- 27:25you a few questions, love it. If you could kind of reach out
- 27:28to me on my phone, All right, so I'm going to just skip to the
- 27:34part where he's not revealing his phone number because I don't
- 27:38want to put all that information out there for anybody to call
- 27:44him. But let's just wanted to get
- 27:50past that. That section but who, you know I
- 27:54get it Chris or Chad, sorry. I get it.
- 27:56The concern that you have or the or the question that you're
- 28:00having with living in a home. That is a Opposing seemingly
- 28:07right opposing religions or differing faiths it's definitely
- 28:12something too. It's not uncommon.
- 28:15So I kind of wanted to put it out here on the, on the air.
- 28:19But yeah, I just some questions about that and, you know, as you
- 28:22can kind of Imagine putting an altar in the house and doing
- 28:25some of those things, just a lot of strife about and just tension
- 28:30about going down this path because just how, you know, you
- 28:35know, if you know, Conservative Christian Cafe, you know what
- 28:39the Bible says? And how how its kind of played
- 28:42out, it's kind of rough. So I was 12 You know, kind of
- 28:45freaked out, and get some questions and see the azide.
- 28:48Any ideas about smoother transitions?
- 28:50Or or you know, how to broach the whole thing with, you know,
- 28:54exposing it to the kids and you know, obviously I'm not going to
- 28:57hide it from them but just trying to get a third-party
- 29:01opinion, some other other folks ideas of that.
- 29:05So anyways man, really appreciate it.
- 29:08Thanks again for everything and I just hope you have a great
- 29:11day, everyone later All right. Thank you Chad once again and
- 29:18yeah so everybody you know? hopefully heard what Chad's
- 29:23talking about this is this is not uncommon you know where
- 29:28families of differing faiths I'm actually, you know, I'm going to
- 29:34weigh in a little bit here right now, but I'm going to also be
- 29:36providing some information in the description in the show.
- 29:39Notes of this podcast for Content that I see you know
- 29:44would always recommend from Eric shervin, Eric word, Weaver
- 29:47shervin on the Raven's Claw has done.
- 29:49I think a number of videos specifically on this because
- 29:51this is really kind of his this is deafness Falls in his
- 29:55wheelhouse, right? This is kind of his specialty.
- 29:57It's what he's been gotten a higher education for right
- 30:00psychology. Family, working with kids, that
- 30:05kind of thing. And I mean he's got at least two
- 30:09that I know of off. The top of my head, it's going
- 30:11to be linked again in the description and show notes of
- 30:13the podcast. But a couple of videos that he's
- 30:16done on this very thing and I would highly recommend that you
- 30:22go check it out but ultimately, you know, you talked about the,
- 30:27you know, Imagining the difficulty. of living in a home
- 30:32that is, you know, someone is so strictly devout in one way of
- 30:37believing and as even extended that approach and belief to
- 30:42their children, And again, I, you know, me speaking, I I come
- 30:54from no place of experience with this because fortunately in my
- 30:58Heathen beliefs, while my wife is not Christian by any means,
- 31:03her family. And everybody on that side of
- 31:05her family are as well as my side of the family.
- 31:08And I've been effectively excommunicated from pretty much
- 31:13everyone on my side of the family, nobody calls me.
- 31:18I might get a Next on my birthday or something like that.
- 31:21But this all this, all, all that dissolved last.
- 31:25Last year, finally, it all just came to head where it was told
- 31:28to me in, no, uncertain terms, that, you know, I'm possessed
- 31:30and, and, you know, there's if I decide to change my ways, then
- 31:37they'll talk to me, but, yeah, it was basically just told her
- 31:41no under no uncertain terms, should I come and try to see
- 31:45them or have contact with them? And so, So whatever.
- 31:49Right? You gotta sometimes like that's
- 31:51the way it goes, it becomes that much of a of an issue you know,
- 31:55where you You lose part of your family members or at least they
- 32:02choose to not do anything with you.
- 32:04But on my wife's side of the family, nothing like that has
- 32:07happened. Pretty much everybody knows that
- 32:11I am not Christian. They may not know exactly what
- 32:14my faith means or choose to want to educate themselves or be
- 32:17educated, but they don't they don't pass judgment on me.
- 32:22And by and large, they're decent and kind people, right?
- 32:26My wife's parents, especially my father and mother-in-law.
- 32:30Beautiful People. Wonderful human beings.
- 32:32Love them to Absolute B. You know, we do anything for
- 32:37them. And and a lot of her other
- 32:42relatives, you know, cousins and aunts and uncles and whatnot.
- 32:45Same way, you know, very, very strong belief in an abrahamic
- 32:50God. Their Christian faith is very
- 32:53important to them and they don't judge me for not believing the
- 32:58same thing that they do. And they they've welcomed me
- 33:01into their family. They've been accepting of me and
- 33:04don't try to push their their stuff on me.
- 33:06I mean, I've been raised. Christianity longer than I've
- 33:10been Heathen. And it was a very very devout in
- 33:13a very, very strict upbringing. So I know of all people I know
- 33:18what it is that you're talking about when it comes to the kind
- 33:20of conflict that can occur or the kind of rough patches and
- 33:25difficulty that you have when you are dealing with that
- 33:28amongst your family. But I can't really relate to is
- 33:32what you're experiencing in, the sense of you're married, you
- 33:36have children. And the person with whom you
- 33:39share that much with is not on the same page as you with your
- 33:44religion with your faith. Now, I will say and I will agree
- 33:48with what Eric would say is that It's difficult to make work but
- 33:54it can work where you have a household of opposing, faiths
- 34:00drastically opposing me. I'm not talking about like you
- 34:03know, Celtic Druid it and Hellenistic or Hellenic you know
- 34:09paganism versus Germanic paganism, anything?
- 34:11No, I'm talking about like straight-up opposites you know
- 34:15Christian and Pagan opposite ends of the spectrum.
- 34:22There are, there are in there. There, there, there can be
- 34:25peaceful existence between the two in that sort of way, that it
- 34:30all boils down to a mutual respect of each other, you know.
- 34:35If you're asking, you know how to, you know, you talk about
- 34:43transition, you know? Because I guess the kids are our
- 34:46big concern or, you know, a big Focus for you in this whole
- 34:51Endeavor, you It because they're being raised within Christian
- 34:54beliefs and Christian values. Yeah, it's a huge thing.
- 34:56When you start bringing children into a religion before their and
- 35:00I don't know exactly how old your, your your children are.
- 35:05I don't think we heard that from me.
- 35:07But however, young they are, you know, you start.
- 35:13It's okay to talk to kids about religion and Faith, you know, I
- 35:17think that's fine. What I guess though is that when
- 35:23they're especially Young you know, you say two small kids but
- 35:27when they're especially young, they're so impressionable and
- 35:30they're going to pick up on everything and and but they
- 35:32don't even understand really the the meaning of religion, right?
- 35:37And why it is that you believe it.
- 35:39They're just believing it because you're telling them to
- 35:41you know because you're the adult near the kids.
- 35:46There has to come a time. I feel like they need to choose
- 35:48for themselves and we as the adults and we as the the people
- 35:52who are in care of them, should be the guides, you know, the
- 35:58guiding forces for them. Allow them to choose and allow
- 36:03them to decide on and we'll do. I want to believe this.
- 36:05Do I want to believe that? Well are you not sure?
- 36:07What do you want to know? How can I help teach you what
- 36:09could I show you too? You know give you more
- 36:13information to determine if this is something you want to figure
- 36:17out right now the Christian views on that whole thing is
- 36:22completely opposite. You know, they're going to say
- 36:24no you need to train up a child in the way he should go and when
- 36:26he is old, he will not depart from it.
- 36:29You know, you the Christians will tell you that, you know,
- 36:31that the rotten correction is is, is important in a child's
- 36:35upbringing. You know, in the Christians will
- 36:38tell you that you don't care for your child's Soul, you know, you
- 36:41condemn them to hell. So it is your obligation as a
- 36:45parent to bring them up in the ways of the Lord and all this.
- 36:49You know, I get that and I understand where someone like
- 36:52your wife is coming from to want to do that because they view the
- 36:55world differently than we do. We have different World Views,
- 37:01so at when you start bringing kids into the mix, it becomes
- 37:09very, very challenging. I would say if almost near
- 37:12impossible to, you know, reach an amicable place.
- 37:20Now, anyone listening and watching comment down below
- 37:23right into the show, midgard, musings Tian at gmail.com tweet
- 37:27it. You know at me on Twitter you
- 37:29know shared it on Facebook, whatever.
- 37:31Just ask the question, what do you think?
- 37:35Are there people listening and watching right now that are in,
- 37:38is zinc? The same exact situation is Chad
- 37:42that have made it work and what do you do again?
- 37:45I think it goes back to the whole respect thing.
- 37:47You know if you want respect or if your wife wants to respect,
- 37:52once you to respect her wishes to practice Christianity, then
- 37:57she should respect. Or desire to want to practice,
- 38:01Heathen, re and have a place in your home to do.
- 38:04So if that's what you want, you know, it doesn't have to be, you
- 38:07know, you forcing anything. But if if if she's that far
- 38:11committed to the fact that it's evil, it's against God.
- 38:14It's wrong. It.
- 38:15This is, this is, you know, going to You know, beguile our
- 38:20children, or any sort of thoughts like that.
- 38:22Then there's other bigger things that need to be worried about.
- 38:28Because there's, there's no reasoning with that.
- 38:30There's no getting that guy said to an amicable place when it's
- 38:34that strict, and it's that far. You can attempt to reason with
- 38:38them, like I did with my family over so many years.
- 38:40I'm like, you know, look, I respect your decision to be
- 38:44devout in your faith and I think it's wonderful that you are, I
- 38:47won't if I'm You enough than respect me enough and they took
- 38:52that and they said, yeah, we're fine, will will respect it away
- 38:56from you and we don't want you anywhere near us.
- 38:58We couldn't we could not coexist, you know, they could
- 39:03not abide it and they would not put up with it and every time
- 39:07that we had a conversation or whatever the the whole thing
- 39:10would be like well you know if you were doing it this way, you
- 39:14know, the answer, the of how you should be dealing with this but
- 39:17since you're doing it another way, I then it doesn't, it
- 39:20doesn't work and you're not going to, you know.
- 39:22So there was this, this contention this is just constant
- 39:25contention. That honestly this whole thing
- 39:31that went down with the way my family did was a I'm going to
- 39:36just say it was a long time coming.
- 39:37You know, I held out for as long as I would and could hold out
- 39:42and it wasn't me. That said we're done.
- 39:45But I kept on, I kept trying. I was like we can do this guy's,
- 39:47we can do this. It's, you know, we don't have to
- 39:51be each other's enemies here, we can do this.
- 39:55And I still feel that way but they don't and like I said,
- 40:00sometimes that's just the way it goes and you know, so then at
- 40:04that point you have a choice. You know how do you live?
- 40:08Will you live with? Somebody who's not going to meet
- 40:16you halfway. That's not going to cooperate,
- 40:19not cooperate, but Lost the word, wow.
- 40:31Hmm. They are not going to.
- 40:42You ever have that happen, you ever have that happen where you
- 40:44just, you know what the word is? You've use it, a hundred
- 40:47thousand times in your life. And you know what, what it
- 40:55means. But the word escapes you golly.
- 41:02This is one of those times where I'm just literally sitting here
- 41:05with my foot in my mouth. They are not willing to.
- 41:19Well, here I am in front of all you people looking like a fool.
- 41:29Compromise. There it is.
- 41:31I knew I'd get it. They're not willing to
- 41:34compromise. Why did I take me a minute?
- 41:38Have to figure out if they're not willing to compromise.
- 41:41What are you left with? You know, and, I don't know
- 41:50nobody, nobody can really answer that.
- 41:53I think for you, except you, because once again, with the
- 41:56whole respecting and I mentioned earlier, when I was talking
- 42:00about, you know, the roots of heathen reading than the heart
- 42:04of heathen re being in the hearth.
- 42:08Hearth, meaning the home. Without a strong home life
- 42:14without a strong home unit Hearth without it without a
- 42:17healthy heart. How can tribe even be thought
- 42:21of? You know?
- 42:22Because a tribe is an extension of family and family is not
- 42:25strong. Then how can the tribe be strong
- 42:29and in the family in the Hearth. There is trust.
- 42:34There is respect, there is love. There is frith. and first means
- 42:42a lot of those things, and it means more than those things to,
- 42:44you know, there is that obligation to one another that
- 42:50each other has become that each other have because of You know,
- 42:55I mean, when I think of the person who I've tied the most
- 42:58amount of weird with it's my wife.
- 43:04I mean we've shared in literally almost everything together, you
- 43:11know, physically spiritually emotionally.
- 43:16You know, mentally psychologically we've literally
- 43:20woven so many threads together that there is not one person on
- 43:24this planet that I can think of right now that I am more
- 43:27connected with and I am that. I have invested more of my you
- 43:33know, luck into and, when you do that with someone when you
- 43:41exchange that much, weird, and tie that much together with
- 43:45someone, how are, you know, if you can't live amicably
- 43:52together, You're doomed. You know, it's like you just got
- 44:00to go in there and root it out. Dig it up from the roots and
- 44:02start all over again. And I mean, who wants to do
- 44:04that? So I get your in a very unique
- 44:07situation, Chad, I would, I would definitely encourage you
- 44:11to check out those videos out of posted in the description and
- 44:16everybody else listening. Check out the show notes for
- 44:18some of those videos from Eric shervin over at the Ravens call
- 44:22and maybe get some more insight and offer our, you know,
- 44:24everybody. Listen watching, please offer
- 44:26your insights comment down below.
- 44:28Right into the show. You know, share it to your
- 44:31Facebook's feeds or are tweeted on Twitter and at me, see your
- 44:38back from the community and let's hear some random ramblings
- 44:41from from the rest of everybody else.
- 44:44I'd love to see what you all have to say about the situation.
- 44:48Cuz I mean, again, I think that it can work but it's going to
- 44:51require work on both of your parts, right?
- 44:54It's you can't just be you being willing to do all the things
- 44:58because if I were to put any Anyone anything?
- 45:01I would say that, I'd put it on the fact that you are willing to
- 45:04bend to the point of being nearly broken to see that this
- 45:09works, right? And if your wife is not and
- 45:13she's just stuck in the facts that, you know, there's nothing
- 45:17right about you as a heathen and there's nothing that our kids
- 45:20need to be involved in or whatever.
- 45:22Like if there's absolutely no wiggle room there.
- 45:25That's a whole other thing. That's another discussion, and
- 45:28that's not something that I would be a feel comfortable in
- 45:33getting involved in. That's a you thing, right?
- 45:38But not my whole not, my call is another.
- 45:41Eric shervin, when you watch his stuff, if you're not subscribed
- 45:45to his channel, go through his video catalog, you will hear the
- 45:48not my haul, not my call. Phrase used a lot in his video
- 45:54catalog, And I loved it means me, makes perfect sense.
- 45:58It's, you know, not my haul, not my call, it's not my chair, not
- 46:04my problem that my house not my rules, right?
- 46:07So, I hope everything does work out.
- 46:11I hope that, you know, where you came from.
- 46:15I'm not sure because you said you've been in this Heathen path
