A man with over 100 prior convictions, Nathan Coakley Hutch, has been sentenced to six and a half years for assaulting a tourist, headbutting them into a fractured nose and concussion, stealing an elderly man’s car while he left keys in the ignition, and attacking his own third cousin with a bike saddle. Despite being on bail and showing signs of rehabilitation—including efforts to overcome drug addiction—the judge suspended 18 months of his sentence, acknowledging his progress.
