- 0:01Speaker 1: Tonight was the Thanksgiving Eve episode of AW Dynamite. Turkey
- 0:05Speaker 1: Day is almost here. Getting ready for all that food.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I'm getting a headache just thinking about it. I have
- 0:11Speaker 1: two Thanksgiving feasts on Thursday and Friday. I'm already dreading.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm already dreading all the food I'm gonna be eating.
- 0:18Speaker 1: But before we got there, we had Dynamite Tonight coming
- 0:21Speaker 1: out of Full Gear, and as we are heading into
- 0:24Speaker 1: the month of December, it is also the beginning of
- 0:27Speaker 1: the Continental Classic. I believe this is the third year
- 0:31Speaker 1: in a row that they are doing this tournament, and
- 0:33Speaker 1: tonight was almost entirely dedicated to the Continental Classic. We
- 0:38Speaker 1: had a whole series of matches here with one women's
- 0:41Speaker 1: tag team titled Tournament Match sprinkled in along with a
- 0:45Speaker 1: Samoa Joe promo. Having just beat Hangman Page to win
- 0:49Speaker 1: the AW World Championship at Full Gear, it only made
- 0:53Speaker 1: sense that we would hear from Joe here on this show.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I don't like how we got no explanation from Hook
- 1:00Speaker 1: why he did what he did, or how far back
- 1:02Speaker 1: this plan goes. Of course, we saw Hook on Saturday
- 1:06Speaker 1: come out and factor directly into the finish, assisting Joe
- 1:10Speaker 1: and winning the championship. We didn't really get much out
- 1:13Speaker 1: of him tonight. We flat out had Eddie Kingston in
- 1:16Speaker 1: a backstage promo say I'm not addressing hook. I'm not
- 1:20Speaker 1: addressing the hook thing tonight. So they didn't get into
- 1:23Speaker 1: any of that stuff, and we have no idea at
- 1:27Speaker 1: all whatsoever as far as what direction they are going
- 1:29Speaker 1: in next. For Chris Statlander, coming off of her Women's
- 1:33Speaker 1: World Championship win over Mercedes Monet, she was on the
- 1:36Speaker 1: show briefly in a backstage segment. They gave no indication
- 1:40Speaker 1: of where she is headed next, So we have no idea.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Now me personally, you know, I'm a fan of the
- 1:47Speaker 1: Continental Classic. I know not everybody is. Typically you're not
- 1:51Speaker 1: going to get a whole lot in the way of
- 1:53Speaker 1: story with it. If you look at the way that
- 1:56Speaker 1: the leagues are put together this year, definitely more story
- 2:02Speaker 1: or more story potential in this year's tournament, probably than
- 2:05Speaker 1: any of the ones they've done so far. So we
- 2:08Speaker 1: know that in the Gold League, we have Darby Allen,
- 2:11Speaker 1: we have Pack, we have Kevin Knight, Speedball, Mike Bailey,
- 2:15Speaker 1: Kyle Fletcher and kazuchko O Kada. We just saw Pack
- 2:19Speaker 1: pick up a win at full gear over Darby, so
- 2:21Speaker 1: it stands to reason that at some point here in
- 2:24Speaker 1: the Gold League Darby will likely get his win back
- 2:28Speaker 1: over Pack. But that's the Gold League. It also means
- 2:31Speaker 1: that Okata is going to have to wrestle Kyle Fletcher, right,
- 2:35Speaker 1: we knew that, and we had that tonight. But as
- 2:38Speaker 1: soon as it was announced, we knew those two we're
- 2:39Speaker 1: gonna have to wrestle Speedball and Kevin Knight, They're gonna
- 2:42Speaker 1: have to wrestle each other as well. Of course they're
- 2:44Speaker 1: tag team partners. On the Blue League side, we have
- 2:48Speaker 1: Kenoski Takeshta, John Moxley, Claudio Cassignoli, Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong
- 2:55Speaker 1: taking the place of the injured Kyle O'Reilly injured. I'm
- 2:59Speaker 1: not sure it's any sort of legitimate injury, but they're
- 3:02Speaker 1: claiming that coming out of his match with John Moxley,
- 3:05Speaker 1: he's too beat up to be a participant in the tournament.
- 3:09Speaker 1: So Roddy ends up getting his spot and Mascuroderata. So
- 3:14Speaker 1: you look at the Blue League and the thing that
- 3:16Speaker 1: stands out like neon lights flashing lights, is that Moxley
- 3:20Speaker 1: and Claudio are going to have to wrestle each other,
- 3:23Speaker 1: and now we know that that match is going to
- 3:25Speaker 1: be taking place next week. And I look at these
- 3:29Speaker 1: two leagues, and for me, the Gold League is the
- 3:32Speaker 1: superior of the two leagues. I mean, I look at
- 3:34Speaker 1: the Gold League in the Blue League here, I'm a
- 3:36Speaker 1: Gold League guy. But this tournament we talk about story,
- 3:40Speaker 1: story threads. Here in this tournament, everything is primed and
- 3:45Speaker 1: set up for a finals confrontation between Okada and Takeshta,
- 3:51Speaker 1: which is the story that honestly is my favorite on
- 3:54Speaker 1: aw television now for the past few months, and they've
- 3:57Speaker 1: taken the slow burn approach with it. Everything is building
- 4:00Speaker 1: and building, and it seems to be building. I mean,
- 4:03Speaker 1: I've been saying this for a few months now. Everything
- 4:05Speaker 1: would seem to be building for the finals of this tournament.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Right they're in opposing leagues. We know that the finals,
- 4:12Speaker 1: actually the finals of each league and the finals of
- 4:15Speaker 1: the entire thing are taking place at World's End, So
- 4:18Speaker 1: that's coming up on December twenty seventh, that's about a
- 4:20Speaker 1: month away. Everything needs to be building to Okata and Takeshda,
- 4:25Speaker 1: which makes things very predictable. It does, but that's okay.
- 4:30Speaker 1: If the story is there and you're building up to
- 4:32Speaker 1: a match that people want to see, that's fine. What
- 4:36Speaker 1: we actually got on the show tonight were a couple
- 4:38Speaker 1: of upsets to in my opinion, a couple of upsets
- 4:41Speaker 1: here in this tournament. And it's only the first night.
- 4:43Speaker 1: So we'll get into what those were, and then we'll
- 4:46Speaker 1: get through your super chat questions and get you on
- 4:49Speaker 1: out of here for the holiday. But thank you for
- 4:51Speaker 1: spending your Thanksgiving Eve with me. It is Wednesday, November
- 4:56Speaker 1: twenty sixth, twenty twenty five. This is your aw Dynamite
- 5:00Speaker 1: Thanksgiving Eve review. I am the Solemn Monster, celebrating eighteen
- 5:05Speaker 1: years of the sound off all November long. As we
- 5:08Speaker 1: wind down, we only got one more live stream left
- 5:11Speaker 1: to go, that Survivor series coming up this weekend. Because
- 5:14Speaker 1: I will not be here on Friday, can subscribe. Like
- 5:17Speaker 1: I said, super chats are open. I will be reading
- 5:19Speaker 1: your messages in a little bit, so we're going to
- 5:23Speaker 1: get on into that and then we'll get you on
- 5:25Speaker 1: out of here. So let's start from the top, because
- 5:28Speaker 1: we kicked off the Continental Classic with Gold League Action
- 5:32Speaker 1: here on the show tonight with two members of the
- 5:35Speaker 1: Don Kallis family, we had Kazuchka Okada. Now this is
- 5:39Speaker 1: where it gets a little messy. So we know that
- 5:43Speaker 1: Okata beat Kenny Omega to become the first ever unified champion,
- 5:47Speaker 1: and in so doing he unified the International title and
- 5:51Speaker 1: the Continental title to form the unified Championship, which we
- 5:55Speaker 1: were told at the time does not mean that the
- 5:57Speaker 1: International title and the Continental title retired. In fact, their
- 6:02Speaker 1: lineage lives on, according to Tony Kahn. So in theory,
- 6:06Speaker 1: all these months have gone by, Okata could defend any
- 6:10Speaker 1: of those championships individually. Now of course he didn't and
- 6:16Speaker 1: he's not going to. So he's had this unified title.
- 6:21Speaker 1: But now the Continental Classic is here, and we see
- 6:25Speaker 1: the Continental Championship is sitting on top of the announced
- 6:29Speaker 1: desk at ringside. So we have Okada and we have
- 6:34Speaker 1: Kyle Fletcher, two members of the Kallus family who are
- 6:38Speaker 1: gonna go one on one here. Don Kallis is on
- 6:40Speaker 1: commentary at ringside. Now, they make it very clear in
- 6:43Speaker 1: these matches there is no outside interference. Managers are not
- 6:47Speaker 1: allowed at ringside. But the loophole is that Callous sometimes
- 6:51Speaker 1: does commentary, so they allow him at ringside to do commentary. Now,
- 6:55Speaker 1: it's less of a concern, I guess here in a
- 6:57Speaker 1: match like this because both men have happened to be
- 7:00Speaker 1: a part of his family, which is not hard to
- 7:03Speaker 1: believe because he's got a million members of his family.
- 7:06Speaker 1: But still it's a little bit of a loophole. That's
- 7:09Speaker 1: kind of dumb, don't you think. I mean, either people
- 7:11Speaker 1: are allowed at ringside or they're not. They should not
- 7:13Speaker 1: be making exceptions for anyone. But the continental title is
- 7:17Speaker 1: sitting right there on top of the announced desk, and
- 7:21Speaker 1: this tournament is not for the Unified Championship, and they
- 7:25Speaker 1: made that clear. It's for the Continental title, which means
- 7:28Speaker 1: that if Okada does not win this tournament, there is
- 7:31Speaker 1: no longer a unified Championship. That belt goes away because
- 7:36Speaker 1: let's say Takeshta wins the tournament, Takesha would be the
- 7:39Speaker 1: new Continental champion. Okada would just be the International champion
- 7:44Speaker 1: because that title still lives on He even walked out
- 7:46Speaker 1: with it to the ring tonight. But the Continental title
- 7:50Speaker 1: and the International title would effectively replace the Unified Championship,
- 7:55Speaker 1: which would be on the back burner at least temporarily.
- 7:58Speaker 1: This is all very convoluted and very unnecessary. And I
- 8:05Speaker 1: said as much when they introduced this championship. I say
- 8:07Speaker 1: it whenever they introduce any new championship in this company.
- 8:10Speaker 1: They just introduced the national Championship, which really serves the
- 8:14Speaker 1: purpose that the international title originally served in this company
- 8:18Speaker 1: before they got away from you know, doing defenses overseas
- 8:22Speaker 1: and and other promotions. But this is what happens when
- 8:26Speaker 1: you know, you have Tony Kahan who has a belt
- 8:28Speaker 1: fetish and can't help himself, and he's introducing this belt
- 8:32Speaker 1: and this belt and this belt and this belt. You
- 8:34Speaker 1: end up with a tournament here where things are just
- 8:36Speaker 1: more convoluted than they need to be, you know, and
- 8:39Speaker 1: there's any number of things, namely, you know, you can
- 8:42Speaker 1: have a shot at the World Championship. And when they
- 8:45Speaker 1: first introduced this tournament, I talked about this is three
- 8:47Speaker 1: years ago. This is not new stuff. I'm not going
- 8:49Speaker 1: to relitigate that. But like watching that and listening to
- 8:53Speaker 1: them explain it, like I get what they're saying, but
- 8:56Speaker 1: it's still unnecessarily convoluted. The whole thing is just very stupid.
- 9:00Speaker 1: So anyway, Okada reached out for a handshake at the bell.
- 9:03Speaker 1: They both tried to kick each other during the handshake,
- 9:06Speaker 1: and they ended up holding each other's legs, so they
- 9:09Speaker 1: worked through some counters. In reversals, slapped hands to show
- 9:12Speaker 1: some respect to each other. After some back and forth,
- 9:16Speaker 1: Okada teased a slap to the chest, but he pulled
- 9:19Speaker 1: back and he landed a kick. Fletcher, though very quickly
- 9:22Speaker 1: hit the ropes and fired back with a tackle. Okada
- 9:26Speaker 1: he crouched Fletcher in the corner by shoving the referee
- 9:29Speaker 1: into the ropes with his foot, and then he dropped
- 9:31Speaker 1: kicked him off the ropes and out to the floor.
- 9:33Speaker 1: That took us into a commercial, so Fletcher returned the
- 9:37Speaker 1: favor by shoving the referee into the ropes and causing
- 9:40Speaker 1: Okada to crosh himself. Then he jumped to the top
- 9:43Speaker 1: rope he delivered a superplex. Later on in the match,
- 9:46Speaker 1: Okada rolled to the outside. Fletcher pursued him and got
- 9:50Speaker 1: tripped on the apron, and Okada quickly delivered a DDT
- 9:54Speaker 1: from the apron to the floor. He then took the
- 9:57Speaker 1: action back into the ring. Okada delivered a tombs stone
- 10:00Speaker 1: pile driver. Fletcher recovered, though countered into a Mitchiinoku driver
- 10:06Speaker 1: could not make a cover though, and at this point
- 10:08Speaker 1: we got the time call from Justin Roberts fifteen minutes
- 10:13Speaker 1: five remaining because these matches have twenty minute time limits. Again,
- 10:17Speaker 1: he get three points for a win, no points if
- 10:20Speaker 1: you don't win. So Fletcher picked up Okada. Then he
- 10:24Speaker 1: lawn darted him into the middle turn buckle in the corner.
- 10:28Speaker 1: He followed that up with a lagerbomb, covered for a
- 10:31Speaker 1: close near fall. Fletcher attempted a brainbuster. Okada slipped out though,
- 10:35Speaker 1: and he gouged the eyes. He went for a rain maker. Fletcher, though,
- 10:39Speaker 1: countered into a roll up pin and he got the
- 10:42Speaker 1: wind with the flash pin. Kyle Fletcher picks up the
- 10:46Speaker 1: win here and after the match was over, Fletcher offered
- 10:48Speaker 1: a handshake. Okada was teasing the flip off, but instead
- 10:52Speaker 1: he put the hand in for the handshake and Callous
- 10:56Speaker 1: was all smiles and he got in the ring and
- 10:58Speaker 1: he held up both men's arms celebrated with both of them.
- 11:02Speaker 1: This was a very good match. Hot start here to
- 11:05Speaker 1: the tournament, with Fletcher now beating Okada back to back
- 11:09Speaker 1: years in the Continental Classic because they had a match
- 11:12Speaker 1: on Collision one year ago and Fletcher beat Okada. Then
- 11:17Speaker 1: so here we are in twenty twenty five, history repeats itself.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Fletcher is also coming off a loss at full gear.
- 11:24Speaker 1: He lost his TNT championship to Mark Briscoe, so this
- 11:28Speaker 1: was a big way to get him back in the
- 11:30Speaker 1: win column with a win over somebody who's not undefeated.
- 11:33Speaker 1: But Okata has been largely protected, you know, in the
- 11:36Speaker 1: time that he has been in this company. I mean
- 11:38Speaker 1: you think he's beginning of next year, he'll be going
- 11:40Speaker 1: on what two years, I think two full years is
- 11:43Speaker 1: a full time performer in this company. And you could
- 11:47Speaker 1: probably count the number of losses that he has taken,
- 11:50Speaker 1: if not on one hand, definitely on two and still
- 11:53Speaker 1: have fingers left over. So he's very well protected. When
- 11:56Speaker 1: he gets beat, it does feel like it means something.
- 12:00Speaker 1: It'll mean more to Fletcher being able to, you know,
- 12:03Speaker 1: pick up a win like that, no harm to Okada.
- 12:07Speaker 1: We know that Okada is going to the finals. Is
- 12:10Speaker 1: he gonna win? Is he gonna lose? We can you
- 12:13Speaker 1: know talk about that. I think ta Kesha this should
- 12:16Speaker 1: be his tournament to lose. But regardless we know what
- 12:20Speaker 1: the final is going to be. Anything other than Okada
- 12:23Speaker 1: and Takesha in the finals. To me, would be ridiculous.
- 12:27Speaker 1: So it's predictable. So what do you do? This is
- 12:31Speaker 1: one of the things that you can do. You could
- 12:32Speaker 1: shake things up a little bit by giving people an
- 12:34Speaker 1: outcome that a lot of fans probably wouldn't be expecting. Now,
- 12:38Speaker 1: all of a sudden, Okada, who's the favorite to at
- 12:40Speaker 1: least go to the finals, is now fighting from behind. Right,
- 12:43Speaker 1: you give him a little bit of adversity. Now he's
- 12:46Speaker 1: got to, you know, fight his way back because the
- 12:48Speaker 1: points went to the other guy. So I like that
- 12:51Speaker 1: they started the tournament with, you know, an upset win
- 12:54Speaker 1: right out of the gate. They gave you what I
- 12:56Speaker 1: would consider to be an upset win. But this was
- 12:59Speaker 1: a very good match. At backstage, Lexi and Air was
- 13:03Speaker 1: talking to Kenny Omegan, who popped out of his dressing room,
- 13:10Speaker 1: and she asked if it's safe to say that after
- 13:13Speaker 1: the events of Full Gear that he and the Young
- 13:16Speaker 1: Bucks have been reunited, and Omega said that we've seen
- 13:19Speaker 1: him do things that he's not proud of, and he's
- 13:22Speaker 1: been fooled by Don Kallus before also right, as have
- 13:26Speaker 1: the Bucks, So he would be a fool not to
- 13:28Speaker 1: take that into account with where he and the Young
- 13:30Speaker 1: Bucks stand, and if his friends are willing to accept
- 13:33Speaker 1: him and the fans are willing to accept him for
- 13:36Speaker 1: who he is after all that he's done, who is
- 13:39Speaker 1: he to say that the Bucks don't deserve a second chance.
- 13:43Speaker 1: That's all he had to say. And he retreated back
- 13:45Speaker 1: into his dressing room, and maybe five seconds go by
- 13:49Speaker 1: and the door swings open again, and who comes out
- 13:52Speaker 1: but the Young Bucks, and Lexi has a very confused
- 13:57Speaker 1: look on her face as the Bucks say, oh, excuse me,
- 14:00Speaker 1: and they just walk away. I'm not sure why she
- 14:03Speaker 1: was so confused in this moment, because she literally led
- 14:07Speaker 1: the interview off by asking Kenny Omega, is it safe
- 14:11Speaker 1: to assume that you guys are reunited and back on
- 14:13Speaker 1: the same page. So I'm not sure why she had
- 14:16Speaker 1: this confused expression on her face. But that was the
- 14:20Speaker 1: extent to which we had any sort of, you know,
- 14:22Speaker 1: follow up to what we saw on Saturday, where we
- 14:26Speaker 1: did have an elite reunion at the end of that
- 14:28Speaker 1: million dollar match, which ended up being by the way,
- 14:31Speaker 1: the million dollars that they made such a big deal
- 14:33Speaker 1: about in that match that technically you know the Bucks
- 14:37Speaker 1: won and then you know Hatchisaro was walking it. They
- 14:40Speaker 1: stole the money back at Hetches. Sarah is walking around
- 14:42Speaker 1: with the money at the end of the pay per view.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Total non factor. We'll see if it gets brought up
- 14:48Speaker 1: on Collision because they're taping Collision, which is airing tomorrow night.
- 14:52Speaker 1: But the million dollars, which is supposed to be a
- 14:54Speaker 1: big deal, was a total non factor. So we got
- 15:00Speaker 1: highlights of the TNT title match of Full Gear with
- 15:03Speaker 1: Mark Briscoe finally beating Kyle Fletcher, and we go to
- 15:11Speaker 1: Briscoe who is sitting in a chair backstage, still bloody,
- 15:15Speaker 1: fresh off the match. He's got his brand new TNT
- 15:18Speaker 1: Championship and he says that he lost the most important
- 15:23Speaker 1: thing to him, his brother, his other half. It's been
- 15:27Speaker 1: a long road since then, not knowing if he would
- 15:30Speaker 1: want to continue wrestling without him, should I even keep
- 15:32Speaker 1: doing this, But he realized that he had to do
- 15:36Speaker 1: it for family. Says this title is for not only
- 15:39Speaker 1: his real family, but his road family as well, the conglomeration.
- 15:44Speaker 1: It's also for Delaware and then he looks up but
- 15:47Speaker 1: he says that this is for Jay and you know
- 15:50Speaker 1: he have a little bit more to say to it
- 15:52Speaker 1: than that, but that was kind of the gist of it.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I thought this was the hell of a promo, just
- 15:55Speaker 1: very heartfelt. He wasn't acting all wacky and goofy and
- 15:59Speaker 1: crazy like he normally does and over the top. They
- 16:03Speaker 1: shot this immediately after the match on Saturday, and it
- 16:06Speaker 1: was just a very short, to the point, heartfelt Babyface promo.
- 16:11Speaker 1: So I thought this was good. And again, where he
- 16:13Speaker 1: goes from here, we don't know. There's a lot we
- 16:16Speaker 1: don't know as far as where certain champions and certain
- 16:19Speaker 1: people are going coming out of full gear. They didn't
- 16:22Speaker 1: have time to address all of it. I think they
- 16:24Speaker 1: still should have addressed some of it more than they did,
- 16:27Speaker 1: given that this was the first big show coming out
- 16:29Speaker 1: of the pay per view. But again, they're taping Collision,
- 16:33Speaker 1: which is airing tomorrow and we'll see if they shed
- 16:35Speaker 1: any more light on that. We had a semi final
- 16:39Speaker 1: round match and the women's tag team title tournament, two
- 16:44Speaker 1: tournaments at once. We have here, we have a women's tournament,
- 16:48Speaker 1: we have the Continental Classic. Wouldn't shock me, by the way,
- 16:52Speaker 1: if next year we get a women's Continental Classic. I'm
- 16:57Speaker 1: gonna make that prediction. Now, but we had Willow Nightingale
- 17:01Speaker 1: and Harley Cameron against the sisters of Sin Julia Hart
- 17:05Speaker 1: and sky Blue Heart and Blue. They delivered a double
- 17:08Speaker 1: team pancake to Harley Cameron, but Willow pulled Julia to
- 17:12Speaker 1: the floor and then tossed her into the barricade. While
- 17:15Speaker 1: Harley regained control inside the ring, Julia created a distraction
- 17:20Speaker 1: so sky Blue could deliver a neck breaker, and that
- 17:23Speaker 1: took us into a commercial break. Now, after the break,
- 17:25Speaker 1: Julia walked the rope. She delivered a flying forearm. Harley
- 17:29Speaker 1: desperately reached for the tag. She got the tag to Willow.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Sky Blue made a blind tag. She waited for Willow
- 17:35Speaker 1: to land a spinebuster to then make a surprise ambush
- 17:40Speaker 1: Heart and Blue. They delivered double kicks front and back
- 17:43Speaker 1: to Willow, and sky Blue covered only for a two count.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Willow fired back with a double suplex and then Harley
- 17:49Speaker 1: tagged in and she ended up down as Julia went
- 17:52Speaker 1: up for her moon saw. Now, Julia Hart has a
- 17:57Speaker 1: great looking moon saw. It's very smooth as she's sailing
- 18:01Speaker 1: through the air. The problem in this case was she
- 18:05Speaker 1: came down for the moon salt and she completely overshot
- 18:09Speaker 1: Harley Cameron. There was nobody there, so Harley is laying
- 18:13Speaker 1: here and Julia went a little past her, and then
- 18:17Speaker 1: she tried to compensate because she realized she fucked up,
- 18:21Speaker 1: so she kind of pops up, not even to her feet,
- 18:24Speaker 1: almost to like her knees, and she immediately pops up
- 18:28Speaker 1: and then sort of flopped onto her with a with
- 18:32Speaker 1: like a little diving elbow, just to try to salvage
- 18:35Speaker 1: the spot. This was very embarrassing. I mean, look, shit happens,
- 18:40Speaker 1: but this did, this did not This did not look
- 18:44Speaker 1: good here. So Willow ends up getting a blind tag.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Harley lands a backstabber on sky Blue, while Willow delivers
- 18:51Speaker 1: a doctor bomb to Julia for the wind. I don't know.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Maybe Julia saw somebody, maybe you know John cenasted in
- 19:00Speaker 1: a few weeks, maybe he's making the rounds. Maybe she
- 19:03Speaker 1: saw John Cena laying there, and I don't know. She
- 19:07Speaker 1: overshot her target, but Willow and Harley pick up the win.
- 19:11Speaker 1: It got a little messy, and not even just the
- 19:14Speaker 1: moon salt spot, like in the immediate aftermath of the
- 19:17Speaker 1: Moon salt spot. It just got a little messy here
- 19:21Speaker 1: at the end. I thought it was solid enough though
- 19:23Speaker 1: on the whole, so Willow and Harley. They advanced to
- 19:26Speaker 1: the finals, they're going to face either Tony Storm and
- 19:29Speaker 1: Mina Shirakawa baby Faces against Babyface, or they'll be wrestling
- 19:34Speaker 1: Megan Bain and Marina Shafir. I could see this going
- 19:38Speaker 1: either way. Now. I made a prediction on my end
- 19:40Speaker 1: at the beginning of all this that Tony Storm and
- 19:43Speaker 1: Mina shira Cow would win the women's tag team titles.
- 19:47Speaker 1: A couple of big names, especially Tony. I mean, Tony
- 19:50Speaker 1: is the biggest name in the women's division. You put
- 19:54Speaker 1: those titles on the two of them. They don't have
- 19:55Speaker 1: a whole lot going on right now. I'm not saying
- 19:57Speaker 1: they need it. They don't need I mean it's not like,
- 19:59Speaker 1: oh they don't win these titles, My god, what are
- 20:01Speaker 1: they gonna do? But right now they don't have anything
- 20:03Speaker 1: going on right They had championships of their own, they
- 20:06Speaker 1: both lost them. They found each other, So it stands
- 20:11Speaker 1: to reason that they would stand tall at the end
- 20:14Speaker 1: of this tournament, right two big names in that division
- 20:17Speaker 1: be the first women's tag team champions, and then whoever
- 20:21Speaker 1: they drop those titles to, whoever they feud with and
- 20:23Speaker 1: they drop those belts to later on whenever they lose them,
- 20:27Speaker 1: would hopefully, you know, be better off for having beaten
- 20:29Speaker 1: Tony Storm and Mina Shirakawa. That's kind of my logic
- 20:33Speaker 1: behind them winning this tournament. Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron
- 20:38Speaker 1: could very easily win this tournament because the fans like them.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I mean, Willow is Willow's awesome. Harley is great, right,
- 20:46Speaker 1: very likable, very charismatic, so is Willow. I don't have
- 20:49Speaker 1: any issue with any of them winning this tournament. I'm
- 20:55Speaker 1: gonna stick with my prediction. Even though Tony Amina they
- 20:58Speaker 1: won the four way at full gear, so they won
- 21:01Speaker 1: the right to pick a stipulation for their match against
- 21:04Speaker 1: Megan baineam Marina Shafir, which I'll get to you later,
- 21:07Speaker 1: and that makes it a little less likely that they're
- 21:09Speaker 1: gonna come out on top of that match, But I'm
- 21:11Speaker 1: sticking with them. I'm still picking them to win the tournament. Now.
- 21:16Speaker 1: After this, Tony Shavanni was in the ring. Wait, by
- 21:20Speaker 1: the way, wait until we get to the stipulation for
- 21:22Speaker 1: that match. Gee, I wonder what kind of stipulation they're
- 21:26Speaker 1: gonna pick for that match. In this tournament. I'll give
- 21:29Speaker 1: you a hint. If you've been watching AW television for
- 21:31Speaker 1: the past two weeks, it should be pretty easy to
- 21:34Speaker 1: figure out what kind of match it's gonna be. Tony
- 21:38Speaker 1: Shavanni was in the ring after a break to introduce
- 21:41Speaker 1: the brand new two time AW World Champion and still
- 21:46Speaker 1: one third of the Trios Champions. He's a double champion.
- 21:51Speaker 1: He had gold over both shoulders. Samoa Joe out to
- 21:55Speaker 1: the ring with Powerhouse Hobbs and Katiori Shabaham. Joe immediately
- 22:00Speaker 1: swipes the microphone away from Shavanni, tells him tonight is
- 22:03Speaker 1: his celebration, so don't ruin it and take your He'll
- 22:06Speaker 1: billy ass out of here. So before Joe could say
- 22:09Speaker 1: anything else, they cut to outside the venue and we
- 22:14Speaker 1: see Swerve Strickland. He pulls up. I don't think he
- 22:19Speaker 1: was driving. It was Prince Nana who was driving. He
- 22:23Speaker 1: pulls up in an suv outside and Nana tells him
- 22:26Speaker 1: go get him boss, and he's got a staple gun,
- 22:30Speaker 1: his favorite weapon of choice. So Swerve is walking into
- 22:35Speaker 1: the building and that's when all of a sudden, you
- 22:37Speaker 1: see Hangman at him. Page shows up and joins him,
- 22:41Speaker 1: and now he's walking into the building as well, and
- 22:44Speaker 1: he has a chain in his hand, and I'm not
- 22:47Speaker 1: gonna lie. I mean, the sight of the two of
- 22:49Speaker 1: them now is allies side by side walking into the
- 22:53Speaker 1: building Like that was pretty cool. So the two of
- 22:56Speaker 1: them walk backstage in the ring. Joe, who sees all
- 23:00Speaker 1: of this happening, he tells Shabata go get the scrubs,
- 23:04Speaker 1: and moments later, Shabata brings out the members of the
- 23:08Speaker 1: Ops Dojo to the ring. So this is why when
- 23:12Speaker 1: I talk about these shows and I talk about the
- 23:14Speaker 1: security geeks on Saturday, I talked about the the Ops
- 23:19Speaker 1: Dojo geeks, it's because that's what they are. Like Joe
- 23:23Speaker 1: himself is calling them scrubs. I call them geeks. He
- 23:25Speaker 1: calls them scrubs. That's their role, that's their job on
- 23:29Speaker 1: the show. Their job is to show up and get
- 23:30Speaker 1: their asses handed to them. So you already knew what
- 23:34Speaker 1: was coming. So Shabata returns. He's got all of the
- 23:38Speaker 1: Dojo geeks with him in the ring now, and the
- 23:44Speaker 1: Ops Dojo guys are surrounding the ring. As Joe says
- 23:49Speaker 1: that everything went according to plant Shabata, he nullified Eddie
- 23:53Speaker 1: Kingston and Hobbs showed off his feats of strength all
- 23:57Speaker 1: the way to me, musclebustering Hangman in the middle of ring.
- 24:01Speaker 1: The simpletons here in the crowd won't understand what went down.
- 24:05Speaker 1: So here's a video package on how we got here.
- 24:08Speaker 1: So they cut to a video package of Hook and
- 24:12Speaker 1: how he started running with Eddie Kingston and showing the
- 24:15Speaker 1: run in where Hook had a little run in many
- 24:17Speaker 1: many weeks ago, with Joe and Hobbs backstage with the
- 24:21Speaker 1: Hook telling Joe I'll always have your back, and then
- 24:24Speaker 1: Hook turning on Hangman at full gear, helping Joe win
- 24:28Speaker 1: the championship. So Joe said that was some of his
- 24:30Speaker 1: best work and now the fans can have a champion
- 24:32Speaker 1: worthy of being called the greatest in this industry. So
- 24:36Speaker 1: Joe introduces Hook, who comes out to his terrible music.
- 24:41Speaker 1: And I will say this now that he's a heel.
- 24:45Speaker 1: This crooner music that he has awful as it is
- 24:50Speaker 1: for as a wrestling theme song. It's just fucking terrible.
- 24:53Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not saying that sitting around, you know,
- 24:55Speaker 1: sipping a latte at home reading the newspaper. It's not
- 24:58Speaker 1: a bad song. To have play in the background. But
- 25:01Speaker 1: as far as a wrestling entrance theme is concerned, it sucks.
- 25:05Speaker 1: But now that he's a heel, it's a little bit
- 25:08Speaker 1: better than it was at when he was a babyface
- 25:11Speaker 1: coming out to it, because now it just fits a
- 25:14Speaker 1: little bit better as far like this smug, helish persona
- 25:18Speaker 1: that he has now, but it's still terrible, like it's
- 25:22Speaker 1: just absolutely awful. So Hook comes out, he hugs the ops.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Hook said that Joe was right. All these rednecks are
- 25:29Speaker 1: too stupid to realize that he's the greatest second generation
- 25:32Speaker 1: wrestler this business has ever seen. That's about all we
- 25:36Speaker 1: got out of Hook here. Now we can listen to
- 25:40Speaker 1: Joe and we can watch the little video package and
- 25:43Speaker 1: deduce that this was a plan all along, right, But
- 25:46Speaker 1: even so, it would have been nice to hear a
- 25:48Speaker 1: little bit more from Hook, given how important his role
- 25:51Speaker 1: was in the pay per view on Saturday. We didn't
- 25:54Speaker 1: get much out of him here until Swerves new music
- 25:57Speaker 1: hits and they show him and he's coming through the crowd,
- 26:02Speaker 1: and I guess, as they say, he's Aura farming, that's
- 26:05Speaker 1: what he's doing. As he's slowly walking through the crowd,
- 26:07Speaker 1: we have swerved Aura Farming as he makes his way
- 26:11Speaker 1: out to the ring. Meanwhile, Hangman's music follows, and then
- 26:15Speaker 1: they show him. He's at the bar. They're in one
- 26:17Speaker 1: of these small they were in Nashville, I believe tonight.
- 26:21Speaker 1: It might have been some kind of music hall. It
- 26:23Speaker 1: was a small venue and there's like a little bar
- 26:27Speaker 1: in the back. So of course Hangman's at the bar
- 26:30Speaker 1: and he downs a shot and he proceeds to make
- 26:34Speaker 1: his way through the crowd. Now, so they start wasting
- 26:40Speaker 1: different members of the dojo, well, the dojo geeks. They're
- 26:44Speaker 1: taking them out with their various weapons, the staple gun
- 26:49Speaker 1: and the chain. Hangman actually had a beer bottle and
- 26:52Speaker 1: he smashed the beer bottle over one of their heads.
- 26:56Speaker 1: And whoever this geek was, he took this incredible bump
- 27:00Speaker 1: where he just it was like a delayed bump where
- 27:03Speaker 1: like a tree falling, and he just slowly fell down
- 27:06Speaker 1: face first on the floor outside. So that was great.
- 27:09Speaker 1: He splatted on the ground. So Page and Strickland they
- 27:13Speaker 1: rushed the ring. Of course, the ops bails and there's
- 27:17Speaker 1: two dojo dorks who are left behind, and they get
- 27:21Speaker 1: chains wrapped around their necks. They get thrown over the
- 27:24Speaker 1: top rope. Hangman is hanging one of them, Swerve is
- 27:28Speaker 1: hanging the other one as they're looking at Joe and
- 27:31Speaker 1: the Ops on stage, who were watching all of the
- 27:35Speaker 1: mayhem that is unfolding in front of them, and that's
- 27:38Speaker 1: what brought the segment to a close. You know, Can
- 27:41Speaker 1: I just say this, I didn't mention this on Saturday,
- 27:45Speaker 1: but just watching what Swerve has done so far since
- 27:48Speaker 1: coming back, it is kind of ridiculous that the last
- 27:53Speaker 1: time that we saw Swerve Strickland before he went away,
- 27:58Speaker 1: he was injured storyline, injured right by the don Kallis family. Right,
- 28:06Speaker 1: whether it was Okada or Wardlow, whatever it was, it
- 28:09Speaker 1: was the Callous family that was in storyline responsible for
- 28:13Speaker 1: Swerve Strickland being on the shelf and needing surgery and
- 28:16Speaker 1: being out for a few months. And then the first
- 28:19Speaker 1: time that we see Swerve back on TV, he's not
- 28:21Speaker 1: going after the Callous family. He's coming out and going
- 28:26Speaker 1: after the ops. Same thing tonight. He's out there, he's
- 28:31Speaker 1: got his staple gun and he's going after the ops. Now,
- 28:37Speaker 1: why wouldn't he be going after the Callous family since
- 28:39Speaker 1: they're the ones that took him out in the first place.
- 28:41Speaker 1: They're the ones that laid him up on the shelf.
- 28:44Speaker 1: For months, it's been no mention of this. It's just
- 28:47Speaker 1: sort of forgotten about. Today's episode is sponsored by Better Help.
- 28:52Speaker 1: One thing I hate about the fall season is how
- 28:55Speaker 1: it gets darker earlier. Makes me feel like I somehow
- 28:58Speaker 1: have fewer hours in the day to get stuff done.
- 29:01Speaker 1: And honestly, I just find it to be depressing when
- 29:03Speaker 1: I look out the window of four o'clock in the
- 29:05Speaker 1: afternoon and it's pitch black outside. But it really can
- 29:08Speaker 1: have a negative effect on your mental state. That's why
- 29:10Speaker 1: all November long, Better Help is encouraging you to reach out,
- 29:14Speaker 1: whether it be to reconnect with an old friend that
- 29:17Speaker 1: you haven't spoken to in forever, or to check in
- 29:19Speaker 1: on a family member, to remind the people in your
- 29:22Speaker 1: life that you're there and they're not alone. And just
- 29:25Speaker 1: like it takes courage to send that message or make
- 29:27Speaker 1: that phone call, seeking out help in the form of
- 29:30Speaker 1: therapy can feel intimidating also, but it's worth it. You'll
- 29:33Speaker 1: be asking yourself, man, how come I didn't do this sooner?

- 30:44Speaker 1: dot com slash solom monster. But I am happy to
- 30:48Speaker 1: see him back and It's a big you know, get
- 30:51Speaker 1: for Tony Kahan as far as big names that have
- 30:54Speaker 1: been out being able to get him back and having
- 30:56Speaker 1: him right away basically in the world title picture would
- 31:00Speaker 1: have been no harm in having him come back and
- 31:02Speaker 1: you know, try to take a measure of revenge on
- 31:05Speaker 1: one of the many members of the Kallis family, whoever
- 31:08Speaker 1: it was, and then transition him back into the world
- 31:11Speaker 1: title picture. But he's he's in the world title picture now,
- 31:14Speaker 1: and you know that's the big question. Now we have
- 31:18Speaker 1: World's End coming up on December twenty seventh, so we
- 31:21Speaker 1: know the Continental Classic finals are going to be there,
- 31:23Speaker 1: but like, what's the title match going to be? Are
- 31:26Speaker 1: they just going to set up for another match, a
- 31:29Speaker 1: third match, because now they're you know one and one
- 31:32Speaker 1: between Samoa Joe and Hangman Page. It's so where does
- 31:36Speaker 1: Swerve fit into all this? To Swerve just wrestle you know,
- 31:39Speaker 1: powerhouse hobs, Like, what does he do? Because to go
- 31:42Speaker 1: to Swerve and Joe really doesn't make any sense because
- 31:46Speaker 1: Swerve hasn't even wrestled the match in months. You know,
- 31:48Speaker 1: what has he done to earn a shot at the
- 31:50Speaker 1: World Championship. He's got to get some w's under his
- 31:52Speaker 1: belt first. That hasn't happened yet, so I'm not sure
- 31:55Speaker 1: who's getting that match hang Right now, it would appear
- 31:58Speaker 1: to be Hangman and Joe again at World's End. MJF
- 32:02Speaker 1: is still out there. We don't know when he's going
- 32:03Speaker 1: to be back. He's got that contract, so he's sort
- 32:05Speaker 1: of lurking in the shadows somewhere. So that's another question
- 32:11Speaker 1: that still has to be answered, is who is going
- 32:13Speaker 1: to be, you know, next in line to challenge if
- 32:18Speaker 1: you do Joe and Hangman again. A third match of
- 32:21Speaker 1: World's End, that could very well be where MJF shows up,
- 32:24Speaker 1: but he can't cash in because the rule is he
- 32:27Speaker 1: got to give a week's notice, so he could show up,
- 32:31Speaker 1: but that doesn't mean he's actually going to be able
- 32:33Speaker 1: to cash in and win the championship. I still think that,
- 32:36Speaker 1: you know, the longer term play here is to get
- 32:39Speaker 1: that belt back on MJF and to do MJF and Swerve.
- 32:43Speaker 1: That's a match that they have not done, they have
- 32:45Speaker 1: teased it. That's a huge match. Maybe that's a match
- 32:49Speaker 1: that doesn't happen until later in twenty twenty six. Maybe
- 32:51Speaker 1: that's you know, the big all in match next year
- 32:54Speaker 1: at Wembley. But you know, we still have him again
- 32:58Speaker 1: lurking in the shadows, and we'll see, you know, how
- 33:01Speaker 1: much longer it takes to get him back in the full.
- 33:03Speaker 1: But Joe, I'd like to see Joe get more than
- 33:05Speaker 1: a month with it. I think this is something you
- 33:07Speaker 1: can play out for a few months what they did
- 33:10Speaker 1: last time when Joe won the title from MJF. He
- 33:12Speaker 1: won it at World's End, then he held it until Dynasty,
- 33:15Speaker 1: you know, so he had a solid what was that
- 33:18Speaker 1: four months three and a half months as the champion.
- 33:22Speaker 1: I wouldn't mind seeing that again, at least to Revolution.
- 33:25Speaker 1: I think you can keep the belt on Joe and
- 33:27Speaker 1: keep pushing the ops and take it at least until Revolution,
- 33:31Speaker 1: before you possibly, you know, change the title from him
- 33:34Speaker 1: to somebody else, maybe MJF. You know, I wouldn't just
- 33:38Speaker 1: put the belt right back on Hangman. I think you
- 33:40Speaker 1: want to just play this out for a little bit,
- 33:43Speaker 1: but yeah, World's End. To me, as I sit here
- 33:45Speaker 1: right now, it would it would seem to me that
- 33:48Speaker 1: one more match with Hangman and Joe is what would
- 33:51Speaker 1: make the most sense having Swerve in there. To me,
- 33:53Speaker 1: just it doesn't compute. You know, you got you got
- 33:57Speaker 1: to really build to that. Now, one more thing about that,
- 34:02Speaker 1: By the way, before I move on, Joe is one
- 34:04Speaker 1: third of the Trios Champions. Samoa Joe does not need
- 34:08Speaker 1: to be a trios champion if he is the aw
- 34:11Speaker 1: World Champion and hopefully will be for a little bit.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Hook now is back with the Ops. It appears I
- 34:17Speaker 1: think that he should gift his Trios title to Hook
- 34:21Speaker 1: and let Hook and Hobbs and Shabbata defend them. I
- 34:25Speaker 1: really don't think there's a need to keep that belt
- 34:27Speaker 1: on Joe. I mean, I guess they like the visual
- 34:29Speaker 1: of him having two titles, But if I'm them, I'm
- 34:32Speaker 1: just having him as a reward, right, as a reward
- 34:35Speaker 1: for doing what he did at Full Gear. His holiday
- 34:38Speaker 1: gift in the spirit of the holiday season, with Christmas
- 34:42Speaker 1: coming up, Samoa Joe, he could even put it in
- 34:45Speaker 1: a gift box next week, present Hook with this gift.
- 34:50Speaker 1: He should have done it tonight, honestly, but present him
- 34:53Speaker 1: with a gift, and that gift is his Trios championship.
- 34:57Speaker 1: That's the way you get it off, Joe. Now, after
- 35:02Speaker 1: the match from Full Gear on Saturday, there were some
- 35:06Speaker 1: postmatch comments backstage at the Prudential Center from John Moxley
- 35:12Speaker 1: after his loss to Kyle O'Reilly. Moxley said, he's doing
- 35:16Speaker 1: just fine while O'Reilly is headed to the hospital, and
- 35:19Speaker 1: we got footage of Moxley tapping out. Meanwhile, Pac won
- 35:23Speaker 1: his match against Darby Allen. So the battles always continue tomorrow,
- 35:29Speaker 1: he says, as the playoffs are about to begin, and
- 35:33Speaker 1: the rest of the Death Riders are just in the
- 35:35Speaker 1: background watching as Moxley walks out of the shot. It
- 35:39Speaker 1: was very interesting to pay attention to their facial expressions.
- 35:43Speaker 1: They just did not like coming out of that match
- 35:44Speaker 1: when Moxley lost, and then he beat up Kyle, and
- 35:47Speaker 1: then you know, as he was leaving, they look very
- 35:50Speaker 1: nonplussed with Moxley. You know, like all the signs are there.
- 35:55Speaker 1: You know, they've dropped a lot of little hints. Everything
- 35:58Speaker 1: is building hopefully to a big angle new next week.
- 36:00Speaker 1: We'll talk about that in a little bit. But that
- 36:03Speaker 1: led into the Blue League action in the Continental Classic
- 36:07Speaker 1: with John Moxley against Mascara Dorada. As soon as I
- 36:11Speaker 1: saw Mascara Dorada in that list of participants, I said,
- 36:14Speaker 1: I know exactly what his role is here in this tournament.
- 36:17Speaker 1: But this is interesting. It's an interesting little clash of
- 36:20Speaker 1: styles here between these two. Slower paced to start, as
- 36:24Speaker 1: Moxley tried to keep Dorada grounded until Dorada ramped it up,
- 36:28Speaker 1: hit this wild head scissors to the outside. Moxley sidestepped
- 36:33Speaker 1: a dive, slid back into the ring, hit one of
- 36:35Speaker 1: his own, but he came out so fast, not as
- 36:38Speaker 1: fast as Darby, but he came out of the ring
- 36:40Speaker 1: so fast and head first. He went head first right
- 36:43Speaker 1: into the top apparently padded part of the barricade, but yeah,
- 36:48Speaker 1: he basically lawn darted himself into the top of the barricade.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Back inside, Dorata hit a springboard cross body as Moxley
- 36:56Speaker 1: rolled to the ramp, and again he avoided a dive.
- 37:00Speaker 1: She dove off the ramp, which is every time I
- 37:02Speaker 1: see somebody doing that. Yeah, because they run these smaller venues,
- 37:06Speaker 1: so it's a very you have the stage and a
- 37:08Speaker 1: very short ramp to the ring. But it just reminds
- 37:12Speaker 1: me of how Adam Cole got hurt, you know, because
- 37:15Speaker 1: they ran that Grand Slam show a couple of years ago,
- 37:19Speaker 1: and he just he came out and he jumped off
- 37:22Speaker 1: like he jumped off the ramp to the floor and
- 37:27Speaker 1: fucked himself up badly. So now every time I see
- 37:31Speaker 1: someone who just like jumps off the ramp like that.
- 37:33Speaker 1: It's only a few feet, but I'm like, please, please,
- 37:37Speaker 1: don't pull an Adam Cole. So Moxley he avoids disaster by,
- 37:42Speaker 1: you know, jumping down to the floor. And at that
- 37:47Speaker 1: point Dorado was going to come off. He got a
- 37:50Speaker 1: running start. He was going to jump off the ramp
- 37:52Speaker 1: himself with a dive, but as he did so on
- 37:56Speaker 1: the way down, he got caught with a forearm shot.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Not very smart. After a break, Moxley tried to create
- 38:05Speaker 1: some distance, but Doroto would not allow it. He hit
- 38:08Speaker 1: a torneo dive to the floor. Doroto was too slow
- 38:11Speaker 1: to follow up, allowing Moxley to fire off a cutter.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Dorota got an armbar as Moxley scrambled. And I have
- 38:18Speaker 1: to give them credit for this because the way that
- 38:20Speaker 1: they have had Moxley submitting, like in this feud with
- 38:24Speaker 1: Kyle O'Reilly especially, and he's been submitting to various holes
- 38:29Speaker 1: and he's been panicking anytime he gets trapped in a
- 38:32Speaker 1: submission hold. He tapped out to Darby right in the
- 38:35Speaker 1: scorpion deathlock at Wrestle Dream. They've done a good job
- 38:39Speaker 1: of conditioning the audience to think that this guy might
- 38:42Speaker 1: actually submit, because the crowd really reacted here as Dorota
- 38:48Speaker 1: got that arm It wasn't even a great armbar, honestly,
- 38:51Speaker 1: but he got on some version of an armbar, and
- 38:54Speaker 1: people were sort of buying into it. So Moxley got
- 38:57Speaker 1: out of it. He mounted him with punches. Dorado went
- 39:01Speaker 1: up top, though he hit a four to fifty splash
- 39:04Speaker 1: Moxley kicked out. Dorado went up top again. He tried
- 39:07Speaker 1: a shooting star press, but this time Moxley got the
- 39:09Speaker 1: knees up. He turned it into some sort of a choke.
- 39:13Speaker 1: It's like they were almost head to head laying down,
- 39:17Speaker 1: but he reached up and he kind of grabbed him,
- 39:19Speaker 1: you know, like under his armpit and under the throat,
- 39:22Speaker 1: and he grabs some sort of sleeper hold on and
- 39:24Speaker 1: Doroto was flailing his legs and scrambling around and trying
- 39:28Speaker 1: to get his feet on the ropes, but he wasn't
- 39:30Speaker 1: anywhere close, and then eventually he faded. He went out.
- 39:34Speaker 1: We got the rep stoppage and John Moxley wins the match.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Good match here again, Dorota. He is the Beast Mortas
- 39:44Speaker 1: of the tournament this year, or the Jay Lethal of
- 39:47Speaker 1: the tournament this year, where I'm not sure he's going
- 39:50Speaker 1: to win any matches. If he does, he might win one.
- 39:54Speaker 1: But his job in this tournament is to go in
- 39:56Speaker 1: there and have good matches and make his opponents look
- 39:59Speaker 1: really good and then lose. That's his role, and it's
- 40:03Speaker 1: the same role that Lethal and Juice Robinson and Mark
- 40:05Speaker 1: Briscoe in the years past and other people have had,
- 40:08Speaker 1: where you know, he's not racking up a whole lot
- 40:10Speaker 1: of points, but he can go in there probably work
- 40:14Speaker 1: with almost anybody and have at least a good match.
- 40:17Speaker 1: And that's what this was. Again. You have two guys
- 40:19Speaker 1: who wrestled two completely different styles. This was a John
- 40:23Speaker 1: Moxley match. There were no weapons, there were no forks,
- 40:26Speaker 1: there was no blood, none of that. There was a
- 40:29Speaker 1: lot of lucha and I thought they worked well together. Now,
- 40:33Speaker 1: after the match, Marina Shaffir came to the ring because
- 40:35Speaker 1: she wasn't allowed at ringside during the match, but she
- 40:39Speaker 1: came to the ring to uh, thank you. Its a
- 40:42Speaker 1: reverse cravat. I couldn't think of what the name of
- 40:46Speaker 1: that hold was a reverse cravat. So Marina hits the ring.
- 40:55Speaker 1: She's checking on Moxley and we hear timeless Tony Storm's music.
- 41:00Speaker 1: So this was interesting because we had a Timeless Tony
- 41:02Speaker 1: Storm promo basically on John Moxley. With John Moxley in
- 41:06Speaker 1: the ring. She comes out, She gets into the ring
- 41:09Speaker 1: with Moxley and Marina Shaffir. She tells Johnny that his
- 41:14Speaker 1: eyes were not deceiving him. This is timeless Tony Storm,
- 41:17Speaker 1: the toughest, most resilient, least bitchy person in the ring.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Despite Moxley's love of cargo pants, she says she likes him.
- 41:26Speaker 1: Whereas he operates in fear and hate, she operates in love,
- 41:32Speaker 1: which is far more violent than he could ever imagine.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Storm would love to stay in chat all night, just
- 41:37Speaker 1: thus gals, but she has a message for his cave
- 41:41Speaker 1: woman daughter. As per the Love Bombs win at full gear,
- 41:45Speaker 1: their stipulation in their semi final round match has to
- 41:49Speaker 1: be brutal enough to exact revenge while entertaining enough for
- 41:54Speaker 1: the sickos. She said it not me. She said that
- 41:59Speaker 1: she couldn't come up with a stiflation for their match,
- 42:01Speaker 1: but then she had an epiphany. After four nights straight,
- 42:04Speaker 1: she rolled over in bed and saw her sweet Mina
- 42:08Speaker 1: and Mina at this point she walked out on stage
- 42:10Speaker 1: and my god, she I mean, this woman was just
- 42:13Speaker 1: busting I don't know any other way to put it,
- 42:17Speaker 1: just busting out of her top hair as she walked
- 42:19Speaker 1: out on stage, and Tony says she realized that she
- 42:23Speaker 1: hadn't gotten her anything for Christmas. That Tony said her
- 42:27Speaker 1: gift to Mina is a no disqualification, no tags, hardcore
- 42:36Speaker 1: Holiday deathmatch in the Women's tag team title tournament against
- 42:42Speaker 1: Marina Shaffir and Megan Bain and Moxley had to physically
- 42:48Speaker 1: restrain Marina Shaffir from attacking Tony at the end of
- 42:51Speaker 1: the segment. Because of course, we haven't gotten enough hardcore action.
- 42:56Speaker 1: We haven't gotten enough blood and tax and Barbara and
- 43:00Speaker 1: kendosticks and tables and weapons and glass. Let's do it again.
- 43:08Speaker 1: They're obsessed. This tournament doesn't need any stipulations, but we're
- 43:14Speaker 1: right back to the hardcore stuff because we haven't gotten
- 43:17Speaker 1: enough of it over the last two weeks. So that'll
- 43:20Speaker 1: be next week. I'm sure the sick ohs will enjoy
- 43:26Speaker 1: Renee was backstage with Chris Statlander, calling her the greatest
- 43:29Speaker 1: in the galaxy, the second woman ever in aw to
- 43:32Speaker 1: pen Mercedes Monette. Statlander said that she's seen nothing but
- 43:36Speaker 1: disbelief in people's faces that she is the only person
- 43:38Speaker 1: to win the women's and TBS titles. There's three options
- 43:42Speaker 1: for her going forward. You could face the past, you
- 43:46Speaker 1: could face the present, or you could look to the future.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Statlander knows where she's going. Who's coming with me? How's it?
- 43:57Speaker 1: We learned absolutely nothing about what's next for Chris Statlander,
- 44:02Speaker 1: the women's world champion. We know nothing, Like Sergeant Schultz,
- 44:08Speaker 1: I know nothing. We got no clarity at all about
- 44:12Speaker 1: where she's going. So who she's going to defend her
- 44:15Speaker 1: championship against. I look at the division right A lot
- 44:20Speaker 1: of the women right now are tied up in this
- 44:21Speaker 1: women's Tag Team Tour. I mean some have already been eliminated,
- 44:24Speaker 1: but a lot of the women, the key women are
- 44:26Speaker 1: involved right now in the tournament, at least for a
- 44:29Speaker 1: few more weeks. They're not going to go back to
- 44:32Speaker 1: Statlander and Mercedes again. They're not going to Statlander and
- 44:35Speaker 1: Tony Storm. So I'm looking at like, who could you
- 44:40Speaker 1: know potentially be next in line here for Statlander, And
- 44:44Speaker 1: I don't know who that person is going to be.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Whoever it is, I think is just going to be
- 44:47Speaker 1: more of a placeholder honestly, until they eventually get to
- 44:50Speaker 1: who that woman is really going to be that is
- 44:53Speaker 1: going to take the championship from her. I think that
- 44:56Speaker 1: woman should be Jamie Hayter when the time is right,
- 45:00Speaker 1: and I'm talking months down the road. Stat Lander has
- 45:03Speaker 1: wins over Tony Storm, actually two wins over Tony Storm,
- 45:08Speaker 1: and she went from back to back wins over Tony
- 45:10Speaker 1: Storm to beating Mercedes, only the second person to do that.
- 45:14Speaker 1: So this woman ought I'll be holding onto that championship
- 45:16Speaker 1: for at least another six months. When the time is right,
- 45:20Speaker 1: I believe the person should be Jamie Hater. But you
- 45:23Speaker 1: have to build to it. You got to build to it.
- 45:27Speaker 1: But if you do that when the time is right,
- 45:30Speaker 1: whether it's double or nothing or all in or Dynasty
- 45:34Speaker 1: or whatever it is, Chris Statlander and Jamie Hayter, that's
- 45:38Speaker 1: a big match to do. And that's someone who I
- 45:42Speaker 1: could see taking the championship away from her. Now, you
- 45:44Speaker 1: could also go Megan Bain. Megan Bain when she was
- 45:48Speaker 1: first called you know, up to called up, called up
- 45:54Speaker 1: from the minor leagues when she first arrived on the
- 45:57Speaker 1: scene in aw almost instantly they altered her into a
- 46:00Speaker 1: women's championship feud with Tony Storm. And that was a
- 46:03Speaker 1: mistake because unless she was going to go in there
- 46:05Speaker 1: and pull up brock Lesner and just destroy Tony and dominate,
- 46:10Speaker 1: that was always going to end with her losing. And
- 46:12Speaker 1: I don't know why you would want to do that
- 46:13Speaker 1: right away. It's like when Mina signed full time and
- 46:16Speaker 1: moved to the States, the first thing they did with
- 46:18Speaker 1: her when she was back on TV was give her
- 46:20Speaker 1: a world championship match. Tony has a tendency to rush
- 46:25Speaker 1: these women into these things. They lose, and then it's like, well,
- 46:29Speaker 1: I hope he has some other great plan for them.
- 46:32Speaker 1: So coming out of this women's tag team title tournament,
- 46:35Speaker 1: assuming that her and Marina Shafir are not going to win,
- 46:39Speaker 1: I think you could absolutely build up Megan Bain as
- 46:42Speaker 1: you know, again more of a dominant singles performer and
- 46:46Speaker 1: have a program with her and Chris stat Lander, and
- 46:49Speaker 1: maybe if you want to, you could put the title
- 46:50Speaker 1: on Megan Baine and then maybe eventually Jamie Hater is
- 46:54Speaker 1: built up to beat Megan Baine for the belt. But
- 46:57Speaker 1: as far as what this next option is going to be,
- 46:59Speaker 1: I don't I don't know what he's going to do.
- 47:01Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know, And if you were
- 47:04Speaker 1: watching this show hoping to get an answer to that question,
- 47:06Speaker 1: then you were disappointed. We had a Continental Classic Gold
- 47:11Speaker 1: League match with Darby Allen against the Jet Kevin Knight,
- 47:15Speaker 1: which was the first time ever meeting between the two.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Knight roughed up Darby early on, so he quickly went
- 47:22Speaker 1: outside to create distance. Night though threw him into the
- 47:25Speaker 1: barricade and then launched off of it with a moonsaw
- 47:27Speaker 1: all in one motion. Back inside, Alan cut off a springboard,
- 47:32Speaker 1: sending Night crashing outside, and then following with a running dive.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Darby went for a coffin drop, but Knight sprung to
- 47:38Speaker 1: his feet. He had an avalanche backsuit plex for the
- 47:41Speaker 1: double down. Into the commercial break, Darby attempted the last supper.
- 47:47Speaker 1: We've seen him win matches in the past with that move,
- 47:50Speaker 1: but he did not win here. Knight avoided a death drop.
- 47:53Speaker 1: Each man got ahead of steam. They both collided with
- 47:56Speaker 1: Larriot's turning one another inside out. Darby was sent out
- 48:00Speaker 1: to the ramp. Night tried a springboard, he missed, but
- 48:03Speaker 1: connected on a pendulum DDT. Darby was trying to beat
- 48:07Speaker 1: the count, which gave Knight a chance to clear the
- 48:10Speaker 1: top rope. So you got to picture this now. He
- 48:12Speaker 1: launches himself from inside the ring out over the top
- 48:15Speaker 1: rope onto Darby on the ramp, and it wasn't just
- 48:19Speaker 1: like a crossbody, it was a lariat. He took him
- 48:23Speaker 1: down hard. It was a hard clothesline and he took
- 48:26Speaker 1: Darby down with it on the ramp. Back inside, Knight
- 48:29Speaker 1: missed a UFO splash as Darby flew in with a
- 48:33Speaker 1: code red for a close two. Darby wanted a coffin drop.
- 48:37Speaker 1: He got crotched though into a tree of woe. Knight
- 48:41Speaker 1: sprung to the opposite corner, not even on the opposite
- 48:45Speaker 1: side of the ring, same side of the ring, opposite corner.
- 48:48Speaker 1: So picture what Seth did to Cody when he fucked
- 48:51Speaker 1: up his shoulder at Crown Jewel. And Knight does the
- 48:55Speaker 1: coast to coast, beautiful coast to coast dive from one
- 48:59Speaker 1: corner to the other the drop kick, and after that
- 49:02Speaker 1: the UFO splash followed and Kevin Knight scores a clean
- 49:07Speaker 1: pin in the middle of the ring on Darby Allen,
- 49:11Speaker 1: which shocked me. It shocked me because Darby is coming
- 49:15Speaker 1: off a loss to Pack at full gear, so I
- 49:21Speaker 1: thought they would want to get him back in the
- 49:23Speaker 1: wind column here, So I was not expecting a Kevin
- 49:26Speaker 1: Knight when I was pleasantly surprised to see that, because
- 49:29Speaker 1: Kevin Knight is one of those young guys on the
- 49:31Speaker 1: roster that you do hear people talking about that they have,
- 49:35Speaker 1: you know, high hopes for him. There's great potential there.
- 49:39Speaker 1: He's someone who, like a Kyle Fletcher, I think you
- 49:41Speaker 1: can really build up as one of your sort of
- 49:44Speaker 1: aw homegrown talents if you just put the work in
- 49:47Speaker 1: to really help get him there. He's super athletic, he's
- 49:51Speaker 1: super talented. We still really haven't seen him come out
- 49:55Speaker 1: of his shell yet because he's part of a tag team.
- 49:58Speaker 1: There's not a whole lot of singles focus on him.
- 50:01Speaker 1: But he's got all the potential in the world to
- 50:04Speaker 1: be someone special in this company. Giving him wins over
- 50:09Speaker 1: bigger names than him is the easiest, quickest way to
- 50:12Speaker 1: go to help get him over to that next level,
- 50:15Speaker 1: you know, And whatever you think about Darby, if you
- 50:17Speaker 1: think Darby's world champion material or not, they have booked
- 50:22Speaker 1: him in a way that he's going to be a
- 50:24Speaker 1: world champion one day. Darby is one of their top
- 50:27Speaker 1: baby faces. You get a win over one of your
- 50:30Speaker 1: top baby faces, you've done something. So that was a
- 50:33Speaker 1: big win for him. Also, the match itself, I thought
- 50:35Speaker 1: was very good and the biggest win of Kevin Knight's
- 50:38Speaker 1: career so far. I would call it an upset. That's
- 50:42Speaker 1: the second one already in this tournament, Night number one.
- 50:45Speaker 1: We already have two upsets. But using this tournament as
- 50:49Speaker 1: a vehicle to get somebody like a Kevin Knight over
- 50:52Speaker 1: is not a bad idea. They go backstage. Eddie Kingston
- 50:58Speaker 1: said that he didn't want to talk about Hook right now.
- 51:01Speaker 1: He wasn't in the mood to address what happened with Hook. Okay,
- 51:05Speaker 1: Then he said that he is not in line for
- 51:09Speaker 1: a title shot against Samoa Joe, but taking out his
- 51:12Speaker 1: boys Shabata on Collision would get him a little bit closer.
- 51:16Speaker 1: So he issues a challenge and the match was very
- 51:18Speaker 1: quickly made official. This was a cop out. I get
- 51:22Speaker 1: they want to save it for a later date, maybe
- 51:24Speaker 1: do a face to face with him and Hook, but
- 51:26Speaker 1: to not even address it or sell any real rage
- 51:29Speaker 1: or anger over what happened. That was a cop out.
- 51:34Speaker 1: And they closed the show with one more Continental Classic match.
- 51:37Speaker 1: Old they had a whole bunch of them here on
- 51:38Speaker 1: this show. Another Continental Classic match, this one from the
- 51:42Speaker 1: Blue League. Claudio Castignoli against Orange Cassidy. We just saw
- 51:48Speaker 1: this match, if you're looking at this going, wait, didn't
- 51:50Speaker 1: we just see this match? Yes, we did a few
- 51:53Speaker 1: weeks ago. Actually it was one of the blooding Guts
- 51:56Speaker 1: advantage matches, and Claudio beat Orange Cassidy earlier this month,
- 52:02Speaker 1: so we got it again here. And we were told
- 52:04Speaker 1: by ex Caliber that Cassidy demanded that Tony Khan move
- 52:08Speaker 1: his match with Claudio up to tonight after what happened
- 52:12Speaker 1: with Kyle O'Reilly at Full Gear. Because everybody in this
- 52:16Speaker 1: league is going to wrestle each other once, so I
- 52:19Speaker 1: guess this match was supposedly scheduled for next week or
- 52:24Speaker 1: the week after, but he wanted it now, so Tony
- 52:27Speaker 1: Kahan gave him the match tonight. So Claudio tried to
- 52:31Speaker 1: rush right at the bell, Cassidy avoided it into a
- 52:34Speaker 1: series of pen attempts. Claudio finally was able to stop
- 52:37Speaker 1: the momentum with a tilta world backbreaker, and then outside
- 52:41Speaker 1: on the floor, Claudio hit a giant swing into the
- 52:44Speaker 1: side of the announced desk into the timekeeper's barricade. Back
- 52:49Speaker 1: in the ring, Claudio continued to rag do all this
- 52:51Speaker 1: man around. Later on, Cassidy sold his back after failing
- 52:55Speaker 1: to pick Claudio up for a beach break. Claudio charged
- 52:59Speaker 1: at him in the corner, but he went shoulder first
- 53:01Speaker 1: into the post. On the floor. Cassidy landed a tornado DDT.
- 53:06Speaker 1: Then he delivered a stun dog millionaire back in the
- 53:08Speaker 1: ring and climbed up to the top rope. Cassidy, though
- 53:11Speaker 1: dove right into a European uppercut, got a close near
- 53:17Speaker 1: fall out of that one. Claudio went for another uppercut.
- 53:19Speaker 1: Cassidy though interrupted it with an orange punch, and then
- 53:23Speaker 1: another and then finally a beach break for a very
- 53:26Speaker 1: close near fall. Both men struggled to their feet. Claudio
- 53:29Speaker 1: landed a huge lariat. Cassidy avoided a power bomb with
- 53:33Speaker 1: a reversal into a pinning attempt. But he got a
- 53:35Speaker 1: two count only. Claudio then landed another pop up uppercut
- 53:39Speaker 1: and he scored the wind. So after the match was over,
- 53:43Speaker 1: the rest of the Death Riders they come out and
- 53:45Speaker 1: they join in the ring to celebrate Claudio's big win.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Renee gets into the ring and she says Claudio is
- 53:51Speaker 1: the only one to compete in all three Continental Classics.
- 53:55Speaker 1: And as she's talking, wheeler Da gets into it with
- 54:00Speaker 1: Orange Cassidy, who's fighting back. So the Death Riders all
- 54:04Speaker 1: attack Cassidy and a nice little touch here Marina Shaffer.
- 54:09Speaker 1: She makes sure that she gets Renee out of harm's way,
- 54:12Speaker 1: and Renee exits there because of course, missus Moxley, we
- 54:15Speaker 1: got to get her out of harm's way. So Renee
- 54:18Speaker 1: leaves the ring. So Roderick Strong, Kyle Fletcher, Kenoski, to Keshta,
- 54:26Speaker 1: Kevin Knight, Speedball masceror Derata they all hit the ring
- 54:32Speaker 1: for this giant heatless brawl. I wrote this in big
- 54:36Speaker 1: word here, heatless brawl until Dorada hit a moon salt
- 54:40Speaker 1: onto a pile of bodies outside outside of the moon
- 54:44Speaker 1: salt spot. This was honestly the quietest that I have
- 54:49Speaker 1: heard any crowd for one of these types of brawls
- 54:54Speaker 1: because there was no reason for it, like guys are
- 54:57Speaker 1: just randomly running. I mean, I get that these were
- 54:58Speaker 1: all the guys that are in Theental Classic, right, but
- 55:01Speaker 1: that's literally the only reason that these men ran out
- 55:04Speaker 1: to the ring. Now, why would they even run out
- 55:05Speaker 1: to the ring. It was just weird. Fuck is mask
- 55:10Speaker 1: Riderrada running back out there for because he lost to
- 55:14Speaker 1: Moxley earlier? So what so they're all brawling out there,
- 55:18Speaker 1: nobody really seems to give much of a shit. But
- 55:21Speaker 1: then they show Okata who's on the ramp just sort
- 55:24Speaker 1: of watching everything, and that's how they went off the air.
- 55:28Speaker 1: So that's back to back losses. Now for Orange Cassidy
- 55:32Speaker 1: to Claudio, they had a decent match here. Honestly, this
- 55:35Speaker 1: was the weakest out of all of the Continental Classic
- 55:38Speaker 1: matches here on this show, but Moxley winning and Claudio
- 55:42Speaker 1: winning gives them both some momentum when they pull up
- 55:46Speaker 1: next week to Dynamite. And on Dynamite next week, it
- 55:49Speaker 1: was confirmed we are getting John Moxley one on one
- 55:54Speaker 1: with Claudio casting milding death Rider against death Rider and
- 55:59Speaker 1: that is where hopefully something will happen at the end
- 56:05Speaker 1: of this match. Now we know that there won't be
- 56:07Speaker 1: any interference in the match because it's not allowed when
- 56:10Speaker 1: the match is over. And if I had to predict,
- 56:14Speaker 1: you know, who is going to win that match, I
- 56:19Speaker 1: would say Claudio. It could go Moxley and then Claudio
- 56:24Speaker 1: just snaps and they all fucking beat the shit out
- 56:25Speaker 1: of him. I'm gonna go Claudio wins. But there needs
- 56:28Speaker 1: to be an angle here, and it would seem that
- 56:30Speaker 1: at the end of this match, coming out of this
- 56:32Speaker 1: match next week, that that would be the perfect time
- 56:35Speaker 1: to do it. If they're gonna drop Moxley where he stands,
- 56:39Speaker 1: that next week should be the week, and that's what
- 56:41Speaker 1: they close the show with a major angle where John
- 56:45Speaker 1: Moxley is excommunicated from the Death Riders. Maybe they wait
- 56:49Speaker 1: until the end of the tournament. That's also possible, But
- 56:54Speaker 1: this has been building for a while now and it's
- 56:57Speaker 1: just a matter of which week are they going to
- 57:00Speaker 1: pull the trigger? And what is that angle going to
- 57:02Speaker 1: look like? Is it something where Moxley gets up in
- 57:05Speaker 1: their faces and putting his finger in their chest and
- 57:08Speaker 1: pushing their buttons until they finally say fuck this guy?
- 57:12Speaker 1: Is it a shocking thing? That. I mean, we're kind
- 57:14Speaker 1: of expecting it, but like in the moment, nobody's really
- 57:17Speaker 1: expecting it, and then they kind of drop them in
- 57:19Speaker 1: this like shocking moment. I would love for them to
- 57:21Speaker 1: try to find more of a shocking way to do this.
- 57:23Speaker 1: It could be a really major angle, but that is
- 57:27Speaker 1: what that match needs to be in some form. It
- 57:30Speaker 1: has to be leading to you here. It's one of
- 57:31Speaker 1: the reasons why I look at this tournament this year
- 57:35Speaker 1: and it's not just Ta Keshia and Ocondomy, like the
- 57:38Speaker 1: Moxley and Claudia angle, Like you're weaving story into this tournament,
- 57:43Speaker 1: but only if it leads to something tangible, only if
- 57:46Speaker 1: it leads to something, you know, impactful, a major angle,
- 57:51Speaker 1: a major turn, a major twist coming out of that
- 57:54Speaker 1: match next week. That's what I'm looking for first time.
- 57:58Speaker 1: I'm actually looking forward to Death Riders segment in a
- 58:02Speaker 1: very long time, so that match will be taking place
- 58:05Speaker 1: on next week's show. The way things are standing right
- 58:08Speaker 1: now in the Gold League, three points to Kyle Fletcher
- 58:12Speaker 1: and Kevin Knight, so they're on top right now. In
- 58:15Speaker 1: the Blue League three points to John Moxley and to
- 58:18Speaker 1: Claudio it's still early none of this really matters, and
- 58:24Speaker 1: again we all know who's going to the finals. But
- 58:27Speaker 1: that is your Dynamite review, very simple. You know, with
- 58:30Speaker 1: these several weeks coming up of Dynamite, a lot of
- 58:35Speaker 1: it is going to revolve around this tournament. So if
- 58:38Speaker 1: you're not a Continental Classic fan, it's kind of like
- 58:41Speaker 1: the people who really don't like Forbidden Door, especially in
- 58:45Speaker 1: the early years of Forbidden Door. It's not as much
- 58:48Speaker 1: of an issue these days, but like the first year
- 58:50Speaker 1: they did it, maybe the second one, a lot of
- 58:53Speaker 1: new japan guys on the show and not all of
- 58:56Speaker 1: them available to be on TV to really build up
- 58:58Speaker 1: to the pay per view. It could be rough to
- 59:01Speaker 1: sit through some of those shows if you're really not
- 59:03Speaker 1: into that. You just want to like pick up with
- 59:06Speaker 1: aw stories. I don't give a shit about you know,
- 59:08Speaker 1: this company against that company. There's some people who hate
- 59:11Speaker 1: the bill to Forbidden Door. There's also people who hate
- 59:14Speaker 1: the build to you know, World's End because it's just
- 59:18Speaker 1: so heavily focused on a tournament that maybe they don't
- 59:21Speaker 1: care about. I like the tournament, I like the for
- 59:25Speaker 1: the most part, the makeup of the tournament this year,
- 59:28Speaker 1: and as long as they could weave some story threads
- 59:30Speaker 1: into it to try to make it interesting, like the
- 59:33Speaker 1: death Rider stuff, the callous family stuff. You know, that's
- 59:36Speaker 1: that's really all I hope for. You know, I don't
- 59:39Speaker 1: just want the matches for the sake of the matches.
- 59:41Speaker 1: But you can weave some big angles into it advance
- 59:45Speaker 1: some stories. Then I think you're you're making use of
- 59:50Speaker 1: this tournament in a productive way. We'll see what to
- 59:56Speaker 1: shakes out on Collision tomorrow night. I will not be
- 59:58Speaker 1: watching Collision Tomorrow night. I will be eating a lot
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: of food at someone else's house that they will they
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: will make. My job is to show up and eat.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: That's my only job. Tomorrow I will not be watching Collision.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: I'll catch up with anything important that happens after the fact.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: There will be no SmackDown review on Friday, but I
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: will be live with you. The next time will be
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: for the Survivor series just coming up. Ye know, the
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Survivor series used to be the Thanksgiving Eve tradition. There
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: was a time where today we'd be watching Survivor series.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: That hasn't been the case in a very long time.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: But I will be live here on the channel Saturday
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: night after a Survivor series war games. So make sure
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: you join me here for that should be a good
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: time on the stream at least if nothing else. We
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: always have fun on the streams, even if the actual
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: events are not always fun. What did you think of
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: the Thanksgiving Eve episode of Dynamite forty eight point eight
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: percent thumbs up, fifty one zero point two percent thumbs down.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: That was quite the swing. So when I checked before
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: I went live, it was sixty four up. So now
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: we're down to forty eight. How low will it go?
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: I don't know, but it's below the equator line right now.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: At Solo Monster is where you can go vote Solo
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: Monster from a dried chicken. Solo Monster. If anyone from
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: your friends or family cooking deep fried turkey, tell them
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: do not add too much cooking oil on the pot.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: I'm not going to give anybody any cooking advice. I'm
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: the last person who should be giving any kind of
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: cooking or culinary advice. I trust that they know what
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: they're doing. You know, it would be like being in
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: the back of an Uber and telling the driver, no,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: you should go this way. I would think that if
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: you're an Uber driver, you would be pretty pissed off
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: at the other person telling you how to drive into
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: your job. So I'm just gonna let them do their thing.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Dry Chicken says, looking back on so much bloodshed that
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: happened to Full Gear, Dracula would take a sponge, wipe
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: down every single wrestler who bled, squeeze the sponge and
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: drink it out of a wine glass. You could do that.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Buckets of blood were spilled over the last two weeks
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: in this company. Thanksgiving is tomorrow and Black Friday is
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: in two days. The blood and Guts winning teams are
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: having Thanksgiving dinner together. Losing teams have to help Solo
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: Monster shopping on Friday. Solo Manster is not doing any
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: shopping on Friday. You forgot to mention Cyber Monday. By
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: the way, the deals continue into the beginning of next week.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Can you imagine Okada and Takesha sharing the Thanksgiving dinner
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: table with the entire don Kallis family and they volunteer
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: to cut the turkey. Well, there's a skid idea that
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: they should have gone with. They didn't do it. Oz glorious,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Happy c two season to all who celebrate. I know
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: he's a big Continental Classic guy is oz glorious? Is
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: it true that some grifter said human vomit logan Paul
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: is better than Takeshta and everyone in aw there was
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: someone who said that, Yes, and I think that they
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: were looking to get a reaction, and they got the
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: reaction they were looking for. Moore says Andrade confirmed he's
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: facing a year non compete. Yeah, well, we kind of
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: already knew that, and I didn't see the rest of
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: his quote. But if he's smart, he's working with an
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: attorney and that'll be taken care of very soon, because
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: there's no way that Androti is going to be sitting
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: at home for a year. I guarantee you he will
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: not be sitting on the sidelines for anywhere close to
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: a year. And if he doesn't retain a lawyer to
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: get this taken care of soon, then he's not too bright.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: A fox with a fox emoji with a four ninety nine,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Hey Fox, thank you man, Happy Thanksgiving Arabian night. Do
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: you see or listen to the Androte interview today? I
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: did not. I only saw a brief quote. I don't
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: know what else he said in the interview. I have
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: no idea. I will have to take a look at
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: it later it's anything worth covering. Then I will mention
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: it on the sound of the Admiral David Robinson. Oh man,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: I remember watching him play. I remember watching Carl Malone play. Also,
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: it's too bad he turned into such a piece of shit.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: Buy sell or rent. What is the best game winner
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: in sports? Walk off home run? We just had this
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: the other day. Walk off home run, buzzer beater, three pointer,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: or game winning touchdown. I just had this question on Monday.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: It's the walk off home run. Nothing better than a
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: walk off home run. You know how hard it is
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: to hit a home run? You know how difficult that is?
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: The big fundamental, Tim, we go from David Robinson to
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Tim Duncan. We got some San Antonio fans here, huh.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Set Life Stadium is so ugly. It looks like an
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: old ac unit from the nineteen seventies. I hate it
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: so much, and I believe that the Jets and Giants
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: are cursed because their stadium is a dumpster fire Man,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: I hate MetLife. Well tell me how you really feel.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: Oh look, I've been to MetLife Stadium twice for two
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: WrestleManias twenty nine and thirty five, and from what I remember,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: it was not. It was not a nice stadium. And
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: I've heard other people who do go to Giants games
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: or Jets games who complain a lot about the stadium.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: It's just it's just kind of a dump, which is
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: too bad. I think it's silly that the Giants and
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: the Jets still have to share a stadium together. I
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: think that's ridiculous enough. Duffs VIDs on Thanksgiving E for
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: the nineteen ninety nine home from the hospital. Most tests
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: came back good or normal. Glad to be home. I'm
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: glad that everything came back normal. Miss Dynamite. Transplant is
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: on the table. One biopsy needs to be done for
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: the liver to see if double transplant is needed. Thank
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: you for the prayers everyone, Well, we are all thinking
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: about you and sending you all the positive vibes and
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: energy that we can. You're a part of our family
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: here and only good things from here on out, or
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: as good as they can be. And a very happy
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Thanksgiving to you and yours. Yeah, and it's in New Jersey.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: The New York Jets and the New York Giants don't
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: even play in New York Like how ridiculous, is that
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: oz and glorious? Thank you for the two bucks. Yeah,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: we got some people hanging over the top rope tonight
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: hit that like Button Casper the try Hard with a
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: nine to ninety nine something something, Batman something something. Oh Man,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: you come on, you love Batman, Come on, Casper, Casper
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: the try Hard. Happy Thanksgiving Brother, Washington Commanders Stadium. I've
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: not been I've not been to the Washington Commander Stadium,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: so I can't speak to that, a very said Woodworm.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Hey solo, first time chatter, longtime viewer since twenty sixteen.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: Love your work. Can you tell me your three favorite
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: Sena matches? Well, John Cena and Cmpunk Money in the
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: Bank twenty eleven. I just think it's the perfect match.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Just there's like a magical feeling with just that atmosphere
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: in Chicago, the store behind it, with punk Is contract
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: being up. It was just perfect. Five stars all the way.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: I would go Sena in AJ styles. I'm partial to
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: their Summer Slam match in twenty sixteen where AJ just
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: beat them clean. I was there, great match, but then
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: they have that match at the Rumble in twenty seventeen
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: at the Alamodome, which never left the ring. They never
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: left the ring that entire match, no plunder, no spots
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: on the announced desk. They just had a wrestling match
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: and it was great. And that's when Sena won Number
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: sixteen and tied Rick Flair. So I kind of go
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: back and forth between those two, but I'm inclined to say,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: I'll just say, Sina AJ how about that. We'll keep
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: it nebulous. So that's two. I gotta pick a third one, huh.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: I don't know. I might have to go with the
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: Sina Lesnar Extreme Rules match in twenty twelve. That was
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: a spectacle, that's what that was. I think those would
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: be my three. The Ufman, I like your new logo.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Just rewatched Mina making her entrance from tonight. One word damn,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I said she was busting out of that top. Two
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: words damn, damn. Three words. Yeah, you can keep going
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: all night. You can keep going all night, Arabian night.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: Could they use Renee in the turn on mocks to
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: get heat. I don't think they want to do that.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: I think they want Renee to be the straight lace
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: reporter interviewer. They could, I don't think they will, Hoffman
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: says Batman Returns is a Christmas movie, you know what.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: I think you could definitely make a case for it.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: There's this really stupid thing going on right now, and honestly,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: my two cents, I think this is just people who
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: don't like the fact that every year we have the
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: debate about whether or not die Hard is a Christmas movie,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: which it is, and so they've manufactured this nonsensical argument
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: just to kind of fuck with those people, that the
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: thing is a Christmas movie. Apparently this is no pun intended.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: This is the thing this year where they say the
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: thing from nineteen eighty two, the John Carpenter movie is
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: a Christmas movie. And I didn't read the whole article
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: that I saw about it, but apparently it has to
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: do with the fact that it's in the winter in
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: the snut like. It's really dumb shit, Like, no, the
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: thing is not a Christmas movie, but Diehard is a
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: Christmas move will never convince me otherwise, Mystic Jay, I
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: just realized that this might be the last year where
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: WWE's Big Four will be all on one night. No, no,
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: I mean the Rumble next year is one night, so
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: we know that Survivor series is not I don't see.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: I don't see Survivor series as a strong enough show
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: right now to go two nights. I think there's a
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: better chance Money in the Bank goes two nights before
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: Survivor series does. But like the next event to go
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: two nights will be the Rumble, whatever year it is,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: twenty twenty seven, maybe if there's another pl that goes
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: two nights, it will be the Royal Rumble. From there,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: if they continue that trend, you're looking potentially at elimination Chamber.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: You're looking at Money in the Bank. I think before
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: we ever get a two night Survivor series, Isaac buy
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: sell or rent Survivor series ninety six, two and twenty eleven.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: I am going those are all Madison Square Garden Survivor series.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: I just realized, Yeah, I'm buying on ninety six, I'm
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: gonna rent on O two, and I'm gonna sell on
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: twenty eleven, even though that was the one that I
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: was actually at. Jeremy Rose buy sell, rent Noodle Pudding,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: pumpkin pie or Pea cam Pie. I gotta buy on
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: noodle Pudding. I'm gonna have some of that tomorrow. I
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: can't wait. I'm going to rent on pea campie and
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: sell on pumpkin pie. I actually was looking for a
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: pumpkin pie. I'm sorry, not a pumpkin pie. I was
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: looking for a pea campie to buy for Friday because
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: I have to go to another Thanksgiving thing on Friday night.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Couldn't find a pea campie, but they had pumpkin pea campie,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: and if you could believe it, I have never had never,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: I've never had pumpkin pie. So this is gonna be
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: my first time trying a pie that has even a
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: little bit of pumpkin in it. Believe it or not,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: We're gonna have some pumpkin pea campi on Friday night.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: I'm very interested. I don't even know why I've never
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: tried it before. All things pumpkin never really appealed to
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: As much as I love Halloween, all things pumpkin just
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: never never really appealed to me. So that'll be my
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: first time trying that. Jeremy also says we really only
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: getting four matches at Survivor series. What the fuck are
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: we doing? I'll tell you where you're what you're doing.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: You're you're gonna be getting multiple ad breaks. You're gonna
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: be getting super long entrances, and that's how they're gonna
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: fill up over three hours. You're not gonna have time
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: for any other matches. Pumpkin Pie needs to be heated
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: up with ice cream ball. Then I'm definitely not having
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: any Thanks. You just ruined it for me. Jeremy says,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: did you see Russo on Helwani? Not a fan of his,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: but his opinion about how to make wrestling shows entertaining
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: makes sense. I actually did watch it. I tried to
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: tolerate it. He was on there for like an hour,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: and he was Russo. He was Russo being Russo. He
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: has his philosophy on things, and there you go. I'm
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: guessing Joe getting another title run means we won't see
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: him in WWE again anytime soon or ever again. Probably not,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: and that's fine. That's WWE lost. They're the ones who
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: fired him twice, so fuck them. If somebody fired me twice,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: I would not be in any great rush to go
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: crawling back there. My attitude, and I'm not saying Joe's
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: ah pro I don't think this is Joe's attitude, but
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: my attitude would be go fuck yourself. You don't want me, Okay, cool.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: I'll take my services somewhere else, and I'll give them
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: before I give you. WWE doesn't deserve Samoa Joe Lo King,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: what's your hot take for nineteen ninety nine WWF? My
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: hot take for nineteen ninety nine WWF is that it
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: wasn't as good as some people like to remember it being.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: I'll take ninety eight over ninety nine. OZ Glorio is
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: fifty four months channel membership, fifty four months. Where's the
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: platinum skull? I don't know what skulled? What skull do
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: you have for fifty four months? Whatever skull it is,
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: you should have it. Roho Bear with forty five months,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: You got some catching up to do to catch up
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: to OZ and Glorious. Happy Thanksgiving, Roho Bear and Tuxedo
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: t Servo has fifty one months of membership. Happy Thanksgiving
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: to all here who celebrate. Same to you, Same to everyone.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Austin Tucker, Hey Solo, I'm going to my first aw
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: show next Wednesday. Can't wait. I hope to see Adam
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Page and Jamie Hayter. I don't know if you're going
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: to Jamie Hayter, but you probably will see Hangman. Probably
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: not wrestling, but he should be there. KD seventeen Burger. Yeah,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: I these fucking names. Apparently it's like this on everyone's channel.
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: Now they just went right back to this at bullshit
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: where everyone's name is gone and now it's just your handle,
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: it says, YouTube being YouTube. I actually reached out to
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: YouTube a few months ago when this happened the first time,
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: and I said, how come because some channels still have
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: the regular names, Like how come they have names and
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: I don't? And they said, oh, it's a new change
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: that we're rolling out. I said, well, can we opt
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: out of it? Nope, It's being rolled out across all
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: of YouTube and there's nothing anybody can do about it.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: Thanks YouTube, Katie says, nice shout out to the great
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: Tina Turner. You saw weapons. I saw it in the
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: theaters and hated it. But Amy Matting as the looney
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: Aunt stole the film and deserves an Oscar nomination. Your thoughts.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: She was very creepy in that movie. She was very creepy.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: I don't know about nominations. I don't know what the
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: competition is this year, but she was very creepy. I
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: like Josh Brolin in that movie too, says Still on
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: the Blue Skull Noodle Pie tomorrow. Yes, yes, I've already
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: said if it's not being served, I'm not showing up.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: My attendance is contingent upon that being prepared for tomorrow.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: Jeremy says, what's the low We're going to get three
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: match card, two match card, one match Seriously, Jos, what
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: can they really give us? They can do anything they
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: want to and people will eat up their slop no
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: matter what they do. I always thought that was gonna
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: be Vince McMahon's ultimate play was to eventually get rid
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: of the ring altogether and just have like a giant
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: variety show for two hours of just skits and comedy.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: That's good shit, pal, and just get get rid of
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: the wrestling matches altogether. I'm surprised he never did it.
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: Duff's VIDs. Do you think Triple H is doing four
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: match cards on one night plees to make fans want
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: two nights for most, if not all Ples eventually and
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: the money? No, I really don't. I don't think that's
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: factoring into his decision to do this. I think it
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: really does just have more to do with They're gonna
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: give a lot of time to the war games matches
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: at least forty minutes for each one, and they are
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: going to fill in the time in between the matches
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: with WrestleMania advertisements because the tickets are going on sale.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: I think, is it Friday? I think tickets might be
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: going on sale Friday, and so whatever their advertisements are
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: going to be. And then the long elaborate entrances. I mean,
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: do like the entrances for men's war games alone, is
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: that's twenty minutes right there? Probably be about the same
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: for the women. Then you have the actual match. I mean,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: if they don't have any good ideas for anything else
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: on the show, I'm not saying that should just throw
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: matches on there for the sake of doing them. But
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: I don't know why we can't get that happy medium
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: between WWE and AW. Like WWE they give you too
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: few matches, and then AW gives you too many matches.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: I mean, why is this so hard? Six matches? Boom?
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: There you go, perfect. It's gotta be a happy medium here.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: But I will admit to you one thing. I would
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: rather have these five match wwepls than these ten or
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: twelve or thirteen match AW pay perviews, which I think
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: I think it's just fucking ridiculous. I'll take I'll take
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: some of the five match cards. Honestly, especially as a
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: content creator, it's just a lot easier for me to navigate.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: You may feel differently if you're paying forty dollars for
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: the AW pay perview, But I cannot stand the length
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: of those shows like it is a huge, huge turnoff
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: for me. Absolutely cannot stand the length of those shows.
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: WrestleMania and Summer Slam should have eight on each night.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: I disagree. That's too many. You don't need you don't
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: need sixteen matches. Why are we overloading these shows with matches?
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: I don't understand. You can have you can have six
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: matches on each night of WrestleMania maybe it's WrestleMania, maybe seven.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: You don't need more than that Summer Slim. You don't
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: need more than that six or seven matches max per night.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: That's that's that's fine, that's fine. You really don't need
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: more than that, even if AW pay per views blow
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: the WWE ones away on most nights. But it's too long. Yeah,
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: I mean, we can get into a debate about the
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: the quality of the shows AW. You know, consistently they
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: know how to put on great pay per views, but
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: it like, I'm trying to put myself in the head
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: of like Hangman and Joe as they're getting ready to
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: go out to the ring at the end of that
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: show on Saturday, and I'm like, why would you want
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: to be in that position? Mercedes and Statlander, you know,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: their match was absolutely hindered by the fact that people
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: were just fucking exhausted by that point. It just it
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: drains you. Nobody can keep that energy for five straight
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: hours like that. It's not possible. It can't do it.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: That's why you end up with matches near the end
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: that are just they feel fucking dead. Oz says, if
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: there were only six matches, how would you fill up
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: four hour on Tuesday? And oh, we have plenty of time.
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: We talk about news and everything. Yeah, and the watch
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: time we set a watchtime record this week. More people
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: watch us than they do some of the actual wrestling
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: shows talk about a lot more than just fucking matches.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: That's fucking boring. I want to talk about some controversy,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: I want to talk about some behind the scenes shit.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: That's what makes it fun. That's why I started first
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: following wrestling news back in the late nineties, in the
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: early two thousands, I was fascinated by the backstage happenings
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: and the goings on and the contract news and who's
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: jumping here and who's going there. That's more entertaining than
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: what we see on the actual television shows. Are you
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: kidding me? Lucky Dog says, I do wish Tony started
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: the pay per views earlier. No more five pm start times,
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: make it three pm. He's not gonna do three pm
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: for every show, but like, yeah, even starting it at
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: seven instead of eight, it's still too much, but I
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: mean it would make it a little bit better, you know.
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: Now Again on the West Coast, you don't have that issue.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: On the East Coast, though, it's a killer, it's an
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: absolute killer. Yeah, he's going to have to have some
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: earlier start time. I mean, the shows are always going
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: to be long. That's not going to change, so the
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: start times need to change. He has said that the
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: earlier start times actually didn't hurt them at all. If anything,
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: it might have helped them. So I'd like to see
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: them do that more often. It says, that's why I
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: listened to you instead of watching WWA. There's a lot
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: of people. There's a lot of people like you out
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: there who listen to and watch the podcast and don't
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: actually watch the product. Because look, when you're a wrestling fan,
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: yeah you're always a wrestling fan. Like, even if you
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: kind of grow out of it, you get bored with it,
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: you still want to keep up with what's going on.
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: So maybe you'll check clips in their YouTube channels and
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: highlights of stuff. But what do a lot of those
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: people do, right, They listen to podcasts and they watch,
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: you know, YouTube streams, and they keep up with what's
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: going on. It's like, yeah, no different than people who
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: like sports talk radio. Yeah, they watch the games, but
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: you know they love listening to all the blowhards on
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: fucking sports radio. Who are yeah talking about it the
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: next day, questioning all the decisions that were made in
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: the games over the weekend. How come they did this?
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: How come the coach didn't do that. Let's go to
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: Sandy from day Ridge. You're on the air, right, people
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: love sports talk radio. Those guys get paid millions of dollars.
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: Why do you think they're just certain people that they
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: enjoy their perspective on things and they enjoy commiserating with
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: other people who also feel the same way that they
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: feel get a lot of the same thing with wrestling
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: and wrestling content creators. Who's watching football tomorrow, Not this guy,
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: but there'll be a lot of people who are watching
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: football tomorrow. I don't even know who's playing tomorrow. Who's
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: playing tomorrow. I don't even know what the game is tomorrow, Ricky,
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: I love you too. He listens to the sound off
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: every Sunday afternoon. Thank you, Ricky. That's why you've kept
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: the show going for eighteen years, almost two decades. That's crazy.
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: We had a great podcast this past weekend. We'll have
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: another one this weekend, talk Survivor series fallout, and we'll
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: talk a little bit of aw if there's any news
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: on that front. I gotta go check out this Andrade stuff.
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: We're gonna get back to your questions. Ste you could
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: email me. We'll be doing a mailbag this weekend. That
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: will be episode nine. So I'm gonna wrap this up here.
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: This has been fun hanging out with you guys here
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: on Thanksgiving Eve, and I hope you guys, wherever you
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: may be, if you are celebrating and feasting tomorrow night,
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: not fisting. I said feasting. I hope you have a
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: very happy Thanksgiving. I'm very thankful for all of you
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: being here with me every single week. Whether or not
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: you're watching the actual television shows, it doesn't matter. You
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: don't even have to. I watch so you don't have to.
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: And I'm grateful for all of your support, all of
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: your superchats, just hanging out in the chat, chatting away
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: with everybody else. And I will see you back here
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: again live on Saturday night. We'll be talking Survivor series
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: war games, and then on Sunday, Episode nine of the
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: podcast coming up this weekend, dups VIDs is gonna get
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: the last word here on a poll bro nine to
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: ninety nine Superchat was beginning to watch the ninety six
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: Survivor series and I saw Marty Janetti was limping. Do
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: you know if he was just working or did he
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: legit get hurt and what was the injury? I believe
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: he now that was a legit injury. I believe he
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: rolled his ankle. Was I believe a legitimate ankle injury. Yeah,
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: And unfortunately these days I don't know which foot or
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: which ankle it is, but he's had some severe ankle
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: issues in recent years where he's posted pictures of it.
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: It's nasty, it's really disgusting. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: what I think. He legitimately rolled it and that's what
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: it was. Anyway, I'll go I'm gonna go check out
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: some Vault stuff myself. That'll be what I watch as
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: I as I fall asleep tonight, I'll pop on over
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: to the Vault YouTube channel and check out some classic
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: Survivor series shit from the early nineties. And I will
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: see you back here on Saturday night for the Survivor series.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: Until then, Happy Thanksgiving guys,
