- 0:33Speaker 2: I'm gonna pass the mic off to him now to
- 0:35Speaker 2: get this thing started, which is gonna be very I'm
- 0:38Speaker 2: like nervous because I feel like this thing could just
- 0:40Speaker 2: blow up at any second.
- 0:41Speaker 3: They're waiting, waitit wait.
- 0:44Speaker 4: Why do you feel it's gonna be chaos because I'm here?
- 0:47Speaker 5: Because I'm here. First of all, Well, they haven't met
- 0:53Speaker 5: you enough. You're the quiet one.

- 1:11Speaker 8: And you got a beautiful hat on Nancy looks so
- 1:13Speaker 8: gorgeous and the almost famous bunny hat, and you were
- 1:16Speaker 8: a little worried about being a ski bunny.
- 1:18Speaker 4: You said, get sixty two, a.
- 1:20Speaker 5: Sixty two adorable ski bunny.
- 1:22Speaker 6: Thank you, right, run with it the gates here.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Yeah, well I need to steal it from for a
- 1:29Speaker 2: second because we need to talk about Disney yesterday.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Just coasters. Yeah.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Whoever, let's start with Nancy and then we'll move this
- 1:38Speaker 2: way in order.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I want to hear a breakdown.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Of Disney before we get into any baby stuff, any
- 1:45Speaker 2: life stuff, any of that stuff.
- 1:46Speaker 9: We have a lot of more of that coming. But
- 1:49Speaker 9: we went on a VIP tour.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Yes, yes, Jeff, Jeff handsome.
- 1:59Speaker 10: He's handsome and he's it was a fabulous store guide and.
- 2:02Speaker 6: His wife Jill.
- 2:04Speaker 7: We had a ball. We waited in no lines. I
- 2:07Speaker 7: actually felt bad. But we went on all these great rides.
- 2:11Speaker 9: We went on cars, we went on soren at what.
- 2:15Speaker 9: Everybody had a ball and we were like, oh my god,
- 2:18Speaker 9: we want to go again.
- 2:19Speaker 7: So it was a blast.
- 2:22Speaker 5: You feel like you run Disney.
- 2:28Speaker 10: I have to say, I've never been to Disneyland. This
- 2:31Speaker 10: was my first time. First time, first time. I was
- 2:33Speaker 10: a Disneyland virgin. Everyone has to be a virgin one time.
- 2:37Speaker 10: It was so they say, so I love roller coasters
- 2:45Speaker 10: and and sorein because I love to travel. I got
- 2:49Speaker 10: to go to Greece and Brazil and I can't tell
- 2:54Speaker 10: you all the countries just in like ten minutes. I
- 2:58Speaker 10: don't know what it was, but it's called Soren and
- 3:00Speaker 10: then and then.
- 3:01Speaker 6: Is that the center's it was?
- 3:05Speaker 10: And then I went on the I went on the
- 3:08Speaker 10: Beautiful Person.
- 3:09Speaker 6: I went on the roller coasters with Joan.
- 3:12Speaker 10: I think I have a broken hand, and Nancy and
- 3:15Speaker 10: Space Mountain, Space Mountains.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Now, when I went to Disneyland, and this is the
- 3:21Speaker 2: season because she hasn't got to speak at and she's
- 3:23Speaker 2: been so good sitting over there.
- 3:24Speaker 4: So quiet, and I behaved, so I want to start.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I remember my favorite riot disney Land was Toys or Cars?
- 3:34Speaker 3: Sorry, yeah, it was awesome. Is it as good as
- 3:38Speaker 3: I remember?
- 3:39Speaker 6: I didn't get she was sick. She never did.
- 3:42Speaker 4: I had going through this. Wait, we went through this yesterday.
- 3:52Speaker 4: It's not contagious anymore. But we went through the exit lines,
- 3:55Speaker 4: like you were saying. My favorite was the Star Wars
- 3:59Speaker 4: one Sufferance.
- 4:05Speaker 10: I can never go back again. Once you do a
- 4:07Speaker 10: VIP twelve, you can never go back.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I did it with in Disney World with Sarah Hyland
- 4:14Speaker 2: and my wife well, Sarah Brett and Autumn so Brett
- 4:19Speaker 2: as Wells's brother. We all did it last year at
- 4:22Speaker 2: this time, and I'm with you. Once you do it
- 4:25Speaker 2: once with a plaid, you'll never be able to do
- 4:28Speaker 2: it again.
- 4:28Speaker 6: No, I've already.
- 4:29Speaker 10: I've already put my thing with Amy's Sugarman to come
- 4:31Speaker 10: back in April and do it again.
- 4:33Speaker 3: It was incredible.
- 4:34Speaker 6: When I get my grandchildren, we need a plaid.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Yeah, you need well, there's a price, you know what.
- 4:41Speaker 6: I'll give one of my grandchildren to go do it.
- 4:44Speaker 5: Two guys.
- 4:44Speaker 8: Back in the day, I used to host this thing
- 4:46Speaker 8: in Orlando and it was Super Soap Weekend and it
- 4:50Speaker 8: was all the soap stars and all that kind of stuff.
- 4:52Speaker 8: And I had a plaid every year for five years,
- 4:55Speaker 8: and I forgot what it was like to go to
- 4:57Speaker 8: Disney World without it. And then when I went b
- 5:00Speaker 8: act by my.
- 5:03Speaker 5: I was like, this, what in the world.
- 5:05Speaker 8: I can't No one's running to get me French fries.
- 5:09Speaker 5: Where are my cheese sticks? I was losing my mind.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Next level, when we talk about privilege, but what you
- 5:19Speaker 2: feel it, you'll never go back. But overall, if you
- 5:22Speaker 2: were to use one word and we'll go start with Susan,
- 5:25Speaker 2: we'll go to Kathy and then in with Nancy, and
- 5:27Speaker 2: we'll come back around. One word to describe your experience
- 5:31Speaker 2: at Disneyland.
- 5:33Speaker 3: What would it be?
- 5:35Speaker 4: Does it have to be one word? Beyond spectacular, beyond awesome, magical, exhilarating.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Let's go yeah, wow, that was so good?
- 5:48Speaker 7: Can I Can I say something?
- 5:51Speaker 5: Disney our new advertiser.
- 5:52Speaker 7: When I was it was an out of body experience.
- 5:56Speaker 7: We went on Space Mountain.
- 5:59Speaker 9: Kathy and I were in this same little car car
- 6:03Speaker 9: and I hadn't been on Space Mountain for twenty five years.
- 6:07Speaker 9: And we're on, and Joan and Chalk, we're all on.
- 6:10Speaker 9: We missed Susan and we put our hands up. You know,
- 6:15Speaker 9: it's all in the dark, and all of a sudden,
- 6:19Speaker 9: all I could do is keep my head down.
- 6:21Speaker 7: And you know the picture at the end that you
- 6:22Speaker 7: take pictures while.
- 6:23Speaker 11: You're missing.
- 6:26Speaker 7: Nancy, where you? And all I was saying was hold me, Kathy, and.
- 6:31Speaker 6: I took care of my friend. Did I take care
- 6:33Speaker 6: of you?
- 6:33Speaker 5: She held you.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Now, as we move into the baby phase of this time,
- 6:41Speaker 2: how I mean all I here have kids, at least
- 6:46Speaker 2: in grandkids. How many times were we at Disneyland with
- 6:50Speaker 2: the plaid going. I wish my family was.
- 6:52Speaker 5: Here this way with you guys.
- 6:57Speaker 8: So when I did it, I didn't have any children
- 6:59Speaker 8: when I had the lad and now that I have children,
- 7:03Speaker 8: my wife, you know, Canyon in Vendos are well, she's like, yeah,
- 7:07Speaker 8: we're not We're not going without a plaid.
- 7:09Speaker 3: I'm with you.
- 7:10Speaker 6: I'm with Canyon.
- 7:10Speaker 8: I'm like, I'm like what she goes, we're not waiting
- 7:12Speaker 8: in line it well, but we you know, we can't either.
- 7:16Speaker 5: It's like, oh my god. So it's like one of those.
- 7:18Speaker 8: Things where you're like, I wish I wouldn't have wasted it.
- 7:20Speaker 8: I didn't waste it because my nephew was at me
- 7:22Speaker 8: back in the day. But it's like, now that I
- 7:24Speaker 8: finally have my own children.
- 7:25Speaker 6: I don't even know what the plaid. Honestly, I want
- 7:27Speaker 6: to be back. I took my kids. We were there
- 7:29Speaker 6: eighteen times.
- 7:31Speaker 4: I thought buying the fast pace was something. We still
- 7:35Speaker 4: had a weight in line. I had no clue what
- 7:38Speaker 4: was either.
- 7:40Speaker 6: I'm done now finish. It's like the In and Out
- 7:44Speaker 6: Burger Hidden Men.
- 7:47Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know what the cost.
- 7:49Speaker 5: Yeah, it's at least I.
- 7:53Speaker 8: Will say this I think, and in a very modest moment,
- 7:57Speaker 8: I'm gonna say it's minimum five.
- 8:02Speaker 2: So if you're somebody out there who's listening, going, I
- 8:04Speaker 2: have thirty people I want to bring.
- 8:06Speaker 6: We'd like to go there.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Six we're in.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Yeah, one hundred bucks a person. Were good, good, exactly.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Let's let's get plaids. Plaids are incredible. But Disneyland and
- 8:17Speaker 2: Disney World are just special places. They are magical. And
- 8:21Speaker 2: we are here tonight to talk about babies who.
- 8:23Speaker 10: Are Can I just say one more thing about Disneyland.
- 8:28Speaker 10: I've never been before, so seeing the way it was
- 8:32Speaker 10: decorated for Christmas, and Jeff said it takes a whole
- 8:37Speaker 10: team of workers two and a half weeks from midnight
- 8:41Speaker 10: till six in the morning to decorated for Christmas, and
- 8:45Speaker 10: it was when I say magical. I am a Christmas
- 8:48Speaker 10: like girl. It was the most beautiful, amazing level.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Jessica and I both are Disney people. One because my
- 8:57Speaker 2: parents worked at Disney right when they got married. So
- 9:00Speaker 2: my dad, my dad opened up Epcot Center, so that
- 9:05Speaker 2: used to be a twenty five year old job.
- 9:08Speaker 10: Do you know you met your dad when I was
- 9:09Speaker 10: anut the first time? No, that's correct. I did not
- 9:12Speaker 10: meet him, but I was there.
- 9:14Speaker 3: He's a handsome dude.
- 9:15Speaker 2: And then my mom worked as a waitress at I
- 9:18Speaker 2: think it was called Tony's back in the days, right
- 9:20Speaker 2: when you walked into Magic Kingdom. It was it's new now,
- 9:23Speaker 2: a new restaurant where the dogs are sharing noodles right
- 9:26Speaker 2: out in front is on the lady in the Yeah,
- 9:30Speaker 2: I forget the restaurant now. But they worked at Disney
- 9:33Speaker 2: for many years after they got married, and so they've
- 9:36Speaker 2: told me some stories of you know, the underground tunnels
- 9:39Speaker 2: and the city. It's magical and how much work goes
- 9:42Speaker 2: into that place, and we just we need to take
- 9:45Speaker 2: some time here on this podcast to say thank you Disney.
- 9:48Speaker 10: Thank you, Thank you Disney. One of the most amazing experiences.
- 9:53Speaker 5: Still wondering why I wasn't invited.
- 9:55Speaker 8: So this is my party, right, yeah, party. So I
- 9:59Speaker 8: will say this about so when I used to host
- 10:01Speaker 8: those events, I would do this thing for Super Soap
- 10:04Speaker 8: Weekend and then for the ESPN Sports Weekend, and it
- 10:06Speaker 8: was my favorite.
- 10:07Speaker 5: It was one of my favorite jobs I've ever had.
- 10:09Speaker 8: But I did get to see the underbelly of Disney World,
- 10:12Speaker 8: which is Orlando and do you know that in the
- 10:15Speaker 8: event of an attack, right, So, in the event of
- 10:19Speaker 8: some foreign attack, whether it be nuclear otherwise, that is
- 10:23Speaker 8: the place today. They have an in these things go
- 10:27Speaker 8: up like in Wall Street.
- 10:28Speaker 5: How these things go up.
- 10:29Speaker 8: No vehicles can get in there or out of there
- 10:31Speaker 8: without Wow. They have a full food, water, and everything underneath.
- 10:38Speaker 8: So if we ever are suffering a nuclear attack, and
- 10:40Speaker 8: you're go, go because trust me, you are fine.
- 10:45Speaker 4: Difference between Disneyland and Disney World, Yeah.
- 10:48Speaker 6: Disney was on and ones, And I will.
- 10:52Speaker 5: Say this, I do think that it is a magical place.
- 10:56Speaker 12: It is.
- 10:57Speaker 8: Going to Club thirty three is one of the coolest
- 11:00Speaker 8: things I've ever got to do in my life. That's
- 11:03Speaker 8: what's Club thirty three. That's where Walt Disney is his
- 11:05Speaker 8: apartment that he lived in. And you go there and
- 11:10Speaker 8: they have this exquisite menu and it's all these accouterments
- 11:14Speaker 8: that were.
- 11:15Speaker 6: Like our next trend. You're worried about not being invited? Yeah, yesterday.
- 11:21Speaker 5: That guess what I'm trying to say. We all have
- 11:24Speaker 5: our moments. What a great one. But I really enjoyed that.
- 11:27Speaker 8: And I do think that it's kind of crazy that Ben,
- 11:30Speaker 8: who I think is the nicest bachelor of all time,
- 11:31Speaker 8: and that's saying it's exciting. You're pretty nice guy. Ben's
- 11:35Speaker 8: way nice than me, and his parents were both Disney people.
- 11:38Speaker 8: This makes perfect sense to me with Disney.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Walking around Disney with Bobby yesterday and he's like, yeah,
- 11:44Speaker 2: back when I went to Club thirty three and we're
- 11:45Speaker 2: all like, can we go and he's no, No.
- 11:58Speaker 5: So, guys, thank you very much. I love you for this.
- 12:01Speaker 8: So the next question is this whole thing is about
- 12:05Speaker 8: Ben's baby shower?
- 12:06Speaker 5: Yes? Right, So I want to go around the room.
- 12:09Speaker 5: I want to ask questions.
- 12:10Speaker 8: I have so much advice to give, but I want
- 12:12Speaker 8: you guys to give advice because you guys are actually
- 12:15Speaker 8: good parents.
- 12:18Speaker 5: I'm advice.
- 12:18Speaker 8: It's like you know, when you go to Chuck E cheese.
- 12:24Speaker 5: I want you guys to tell us.
- 12:25Speaker 8: So if you have to give some advice to Ben,
- 12:29Speaker 8: we all know is a very sensitive and loving man.
- 12:32Speaker 8: His wife is a lovely human being, incredibly beautiful, sweet
- 12:37Speaker 8: and kind and scared to death.
- 12:39Speaker 5: And scared to death. Well we're all scared to death.
- 12:41Speaker 5: I mean, first time, what do we what do we give?
- 12:43Speaker 5: Let's start here.
- 12:45Speaker 4: Just breathe, there's nothing you can do when, especially when
- 12:50Speaker 4: the baby comes, You're like, what do I do now
- 12:51Speaker 4: when you take her home? Like, the don't come with instructions,
- 12:55Speaker 4: it's a natural, just do There are no perfect ways,
- 13:01Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying. It's gonna be scary. You
- 13:03Speaker 4: don't how to bathe them. They'll show you that in
- 13:05Speaker 4: the hospital, but just just do you.
- 13:08Speaker 5: Know what's funny about that?
- 13:09Speaker 8: When we left the hospital, I do remember. I love
- 13:12Speaker 8: that you just said that, because I forgot to say
- 13:13Speaker 8: that earlier. I remember I was trying to put the
- 13:16Speaker 8: car seat in the car. No one even told me
- 13:18Speaker 8: how to do that. And then as I'm putting our
- 13:20Speaker 8: baby in the car seat, I'm like, no one's gonna
- 13:22Speaker 8: like someone like this. It's okay to leave. Are you
- 13:25Speaker 8: worried about that? Have you thought about that?
- 13:27Speaker 5: You know?
- 13:27Speaker 3: I have Bob and he's prepared.
- 13:32Speaker 10: He bought a baby Target and he's been practicing, practicing
- 13:36Speaker 10: taking it in and out.
- 13:37Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Well no, And I was telling Nancy this earlier.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Nancy and I are from the same place, which you
- 13:43Speaker 2: mentioned many times, and we have some incredible people in
- 13:46Speaker 2: this town.
- 13:47Speaker 3: But some of these people get you.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Know, have their first babies very young and I have
- 13:52Speaker 2: some great friends who have had you know, who have
- 13:54Speaker 2: kids in middle school at this point, and they they
- 13:58Speaker 2: figured it out and they were you and they were
- 14:01Speaker 2: you know, naive, and they were trying to figure out
- 14:04Speaker 2: what life was like. And so there's a little bit
- 14:06Speaker 2: of confidence that I've had thinking about it. It's like,
- 14:08Speaker 2: if they can do it in the season of life
- 14:11Speaker 2: they were in, I can do it at thirty five.
- 14:15Speaker 2: That's not a hit on them more than like, at twenty,
- 14:18Speaker 2: if you told me I was having a baby, I
- 14:20Speaker 2: don't think I would be prepared. I don't think i'd
- 14:22Speaker 2: be ready. But at thirty five, there is some life instincts, yeah,
- 14:26Speaker 2: that I kicked in. It's natural that that are a
- 14:29Speaker 2: little different than when I was at twenty being like
- 14:31Speaker 2: when can I go to the bars next?
- 14:34Speaker 3: You know, I was kind of I'm not necessarily worried
- 14:37Speaker 3: about that right.
- 14:38Speaker 6: Now, all right, I have two things to say.
- 14:41Speaker 10: Yes, One is very practical, which is when you have
- 14:44Speaker 10: a child, like, don't swing them by the arms because
- 14:47Speaker 10: you'll dislocate them and you'll be in the emergency room.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Until I see parents.
- 14:51Speaker 6: Still, okay, just don't do it.
- 14:54Speaker 9: I do it.
- 14:54Speaker 5: The advice is not to do.
- 14:56Speaker 6: Don't do it. It's fun. They're tol and you don't.
- 14:58Speaker 10: Yeah mid yeah, yeah, mid By not okay. But the
- 15:02Speaker 10: other thing is really a heartfelt, and I mean this advice.
- 15:07Speaker 10: Your children are never going to remember Ben, the gifts
- 15:11Speaker 10: you give them, the toys, the dolls, the you know what,
- 15:14Speaker 10: they're going to remember. They're going to remember the example
- 15:17Speaker 10: you said for them. For her, she's going to remember
- 15:22Speaker 10: how you and your wife treat each other. Those are
- 15:25Speaker 10: the lessons that she is going to take with her.
- 15:28Speaker 10: That is so when she forget all the gifts, forget
- 15:31Speaker 10: all that, it's it's how you as a family grow,
- 15:36Speaker 10: That's what's going to matter.
- 15:38Speaker 5: I gotta say this right now. You guys are crushing this.
- 15:40Speaker 6: You're gonna make me cry.
- 15:41Speaker 5: No, I know me too.
- 15:42Speaker 8: I'm like I'm sitting here thinking like I don't want
- 15:45Speaker 8: to ever argue in front of my kids. You know,
- 15:47Speaker 8: it's like in those moments, it's like, you know, what
- 15:50Speaker 8: she just said was so true, Like they're going to
- 15:51Speaker 8: remember that.
- 15:52Speaker 10: The experience is my kids the littlest things, and my
- 15:56Speaker 10: kids are grown and they'll say, Mom, you know we
- 15:59Speaker 10: remember it makes me we remember when you and Dad
- 16:02Speaker 10: and it's the smallest thing that we did as a family,
- 16:05Speaker 10: and I'm like, what of the damn time when I
- 16:07Speaker 10: took it.
- 16:12Speaker 6: From her partner? The way you treat you, you know,
- 16:15Speaker 6: it's how you model family.
- 16:17Speaker 8: And yes, I think, I know, I know this might
- 16:20Speaker 8: sound sexist and I don't mean it too, but I
- 16:22Speaker 8: do feel like women need to see a great example
- 16:25Speaker 8: of a of a man, and who's better than this guy? Honestly,
- 16:30Speaker 8: I mean, this guy personifies so much of that, and
- 16:34Speaker 8: I think he doesn't want to hear it right now,
- 16:36Speaker 8: but but it is true.
- 16:37Speaker 5: You You, you.
- 16:38Speaker 8: Are such a great guy, and your daughter will see
- 16:42Speaker 8: how you treat your wife and how you treat your family,
- 16:45Speaker 8: and that's what she'll come to expect for who she's
- 16:47Speaker 8: going to be with in her life.
- 16:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 16:52Speaker 2: My response to that, my response that would be that
- 16:56Speaker 2: all of your stuff is crushing it. I I joke tonight,
- 16:59Speaker 2: and you all have been around me enough that.
- 17:01Speaker 3: You know this.
- 17:03Speaker 2: I walk a thin line between being like sobby ninety
- 17:07Speaker 2: nine percent of my life I do and having a
- 17:12Speaker 2: daughter is my worst nightmare.
- 17:13Speaker 6: Quite frankly, the greatest gift.
- 17:16Speaker 3: It's going to break me.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Uh and We're gonna pause here in the show, and
- 17:21Speaker 2: I'm gonna show everybody this video that my wife just
- 17:24Speaker 2: sent me that nobody else could see it, and I
- 17:26Speaker 2: wasn't gonna show it because she sent it to me tonight,
- 17:30Speaker 2: and Kendle's blowing us up, and it's like, I just
- 17:35Speaker 2: want you guys to see because I know you care,
- 17:37Speaker 2: and I know you like us having a child and
- 17:39Speaker 2: me having a child is not the most important thing
- 17:41Speaker 2: in your life, but I know you care and I
- 17:43Speaker 2: want you all to see this. So here, will you
- 17:46Speaker 2: hold this up for them?
- 17:49Speaker 6: I'm gonna cry.
- 17:51Speaker 5: I wish I.
- 17:52Speaker 12: Could be there with you today to celebrate us and
- 17:55Speaker 12: our baby girl. But I just don't think you're feeling
- 17:59Speaker 12: and love because you deserve it. You have made my
- 18:02Speaker 12: whole pregnancy so easy. You cook dinner and you have
- 18:07Speaker 12: it ready for me.
- 18:08Speaker 4: You fill my water bottle, You give.
- 18:09Speaker 12: Me arms scratchies, and you tell me that I'm beautiful
- 18:13Speaker 12: even on days when I really don't feel like it.
- 18:15Speaker 12: And you have made me feel like the most powered, beautiful,
- 18:19Speaker 12: pregnant person in the whole world, just like you do
- 18:22Speaker 12: every single day. And I know that our daughter is
- 18:25Speaker 12: going to feel so so loved by you. You're just
- 18:29Speaker 12: going to be the very best dad and I'm so
- 18:32Speaker 12: glad that you get this time to be celebrated for
- 18:34Speaker 12: that because you just deserve all of it. Can I
- 18:38Speaker 12: love you so so much? And I am so grateful
- 18:40Speaker 12: that you are my partner, my baby daddy, my husband,
- 18:44Speaker 12: all the things. I hope today is so fun. Me
- 18:49Speaker 12: and baby girl love you so much, and you're so
- 18:52Speaker 12: so grateful for you so enjoy the day, feel so
- 18:56Speaker 12: loved and so appreciated.
- 18:58Speaker 11: Was that?
- 19:00Speaker 6: Can I just say that's what your daughter feels going
- 19:04Speaker 6: to remember?
- 19:05Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 19:06Speaker 6: Do you feel blessed?
- 19:06Speaker 3: I feel very blessed. I do you are?
- 19:09Speaker 5: That's so sweet?
- 19:10Speaker 3: That is Yeah, it's it's weird. It's weird.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I don't feel like I uh am walking into becoming
- 19:18Speaker 2: a dad.
- 19:19Speaker 3: I don't feel that yet.
- 19:21Speaker 4: It's weird until you smell her and see her and
- 19:25Speaker 4: she's wailing.
- 19:26Speaker 3: But the cool part is I have the best wife
- 19:28Speaker 3: in the world.
- 19:29Speaker 4: You do it sounds like you're a good partner.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Yeah, she's great. We're going to do this thing.
- 19:34Speaker 10: But can I just say, That's what I'm trying to
- 19:37Speaker 10: say to you, is all the things that you know
- 19:40Speaker 10: you can buy all the toys, and she's going to
- 19:43Speaker 10: feel the love that you and Jess have. She's going
- 19:47Speaker 10: to feel it, and she's going to see it, and
- 19:49Speaker 10: you're going to model that for her. And that's a
- 19:52Speaker 10: gift that you don't even know you're going to gift
- 19:54Speaker 10: to her.
- 19:54Speaker 4: And when she really wants something and you buy it,
- 19:56Speaker 4: she's going to remember that too.
- 20:00Speaker 3: She can't remember the flat. It's an exciting time, you know.
- 20:06Speaker 5: What it is.
- 20:06Speaker 8: I think it's so sweet that. I mean, I waited
- 20:12Speaker 8: I was forty eight to have kids. I shouldn't say
- 20:14Speaker 8: I waited.
- 20:15Speaker 6: You're late, bloom.
- 20:15Speaker 8: I was forty one, had kids and I and I
- 20:18Speaker 8: I thought that it gave me this perspective. It was
- 20:21Speaker 8: so different. But now I'm watching you, who you just
- 20:24Speaker 8: are just such a sensitive and sweet soul. And it's
- 20:26Speaker 8: like so nice to watch someone you love and care about,
- 20:29Speaker 8: who you've go through love and cared about since they
- 20:32Speaker 8: started this weird fraternity.
- 20:34Speaker 5: That we have.
- 20:35Speaker 8: And I love seeing it because it's like, man, I
- 20:37Speaker 8: just watch you. I'm like, God, he's just wiser than me.
- 20:41Speaker 4: Do you remember the feeling of, oh my goodness, I'm
- 20:43Speaker 4: responsible for this?
- 20:46Speaker 5: You know?
- 20:46Speaker 4: You know I have to protect them. I have to
- 20:48Speaker 4: educate them, I have to show them life like it's overwhelming.
- 20:53Speaker 5: I'm scared. I didn't have the love in me to
- 20:56Speaker 5: give because I wait.
- 20:59Speaker 10: When you had so somebody asked me this. When I
- 21:02Speaker 10: had my first child, I was consuming the second and
- 21:06Speaker 10: then the second. I was so scared that I wouldn't
- 21:09Speaker 10: love and I don't. And you know what, God just
- 21:14Speaker 10: stretches your heart and you love the second one as much,
- 21:18Speaker 10: and the third one it stretches.
- 21:19Speaker 8: My wife and I went to counseling and I said,
- 21:23Speaker 8: I was so worried, and I go, I just don't go.
- 21:25Speaker 8: You know, I'm an older guy, and I don't think
- 21:27Speaker 8: I have enough love in me. I love my son,
- 21:30Speaker 8: so I'm gonna cry.
- 21:32Speaker 6: But as soon as that one comes out.
- 21:35Speaker 5: I don't think I have enough.
- 21:37Speaker 4: You have a huge heart, and you have so much.
- 21:40Speaker 6: It's when two come out at a time.
- 21:44Speaker 7: That's another story.
- 21:45Speaker 6: That was scary.
- 21:47Speaker 7: And you're only having right now.
- 21:50Speaker 5: You've got.
- 21:53Speaker 3: The big thing. And so I was.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Telling my my best buddy yesterday this.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right, he called me.
- 22:06Speaker 2: I was talking to Kathy yesterday. He goes, are you excited?
- 22:12Speaker 2: I am excited? Like I don't have any like non
- 22:15Speaker 2: excitement feelings. This is a good step, I said, And
- 22:19Speaker 2: he goes, what are you worried about? I said, There's
- 22:20Speaker 2: one thing I'm worried about. There's one thing that kind
- 22:23Speaker 2: of haunts me. That was my question, And the question,
- 22:26Speaker 2: if I'm honest, is I'm thirty five years old. This
- 22:30Speaker 2: isn't late necessarily for me. This isn't early for me.
- 22:34Speaker 2: This just feels like it's the right time for me
- 22:36Speaker 2: at whatever to have my first baby. But I've lived
- 22:40Speaker 2: thirty five years of my life.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Pretty much.
- 22:44Speaker 2: I mean, my wife is is very great, and we've
- 22:47Speaker 2: made this marriage and this commitment. But I've lived thirty
- 22:51Speaker 2: five years of my life without any other responsibilities outside
- 22:54Speaker 2: of myself.
- 22:55Speaker 10: No pets, Ben, Can I just say, the minute your
- 22:59Speaker 10: daughter is born, you won't be able to imagine it
- 23:02Speaker 10: any other way.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Interesting. That's That's what I'm concerned about. Is I've developed
- 23:08Speaker 2: these habits and these these rhythms and these things, and
- 23:11Speaker 2: I'm selfish, and not necessarily on purpose.
- 23:15Speaker 3: I'm just selfish because I what's to do? Day twelve?
- 23:19Speaker 10: Your selfishness will end.
- 23:24Speaker 6: It all goes away.
- 23:27Speaker 4: The mother does change her schedule, her beauty, but getting ready,
- 23:32Speaker 4: that's like, doesn't happen as world it is.
- 23:37Speaker 5: No, it really is. It is. I'll never forget.
- 23:39Speaker 8: I've never loved to just be there than that moment
- 23:42Speaker 8: of watching her and I'm in the room and I'm
- 23:44Speaker 8: like watching her give birth, and I'm just like.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Were you afraid of the labor? Are you nervous about
- 23:49Speaker 4: that canyon?
- 23:53Speaker 5: Both worlds? She went through several hours of.
- 23:58Speaker 8: Section, And I'll never for get it being in that
- 24:00Speaker 8: room and just watching and I'm like, this is unreal.
- 24:04Speaker 6: Isn't it beautiful?
- 24:05Speaker 5: Like I was a part of thirty or four seconds
- 24:08Speaker 5: of this?
- 24:11Speaker 6: Then are you screaming?
- 24:12Speaker 2: Twenty Jessica's asked me to stay shut up above shoulder up.
- 24:21Speaker 2: She's asked me that of me, and she said, if
- 24:23Speaker 2: things go wrong, I can go down low, cut the cord.
- 24:27Speaker 2: I'm good cutting the cord. I'm in my screaming squeamish
- 24:31Speaker 2: I think so yes, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:37Speaker 4: She might not be nice, like.
- 24:43Speaker 5: She's well, she's Italian.
- 24:44Speaker 3: She she's good at it. Yeah, yeah, she.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Always getting on epidural like good she's not doing like
- 24:55Speaker 2: my one of my best friends in the world's daughters
- 24:57Speaker 2: is having a baby.
- 24:58Speaker 3: She's doing a water birth. Jessica says, Nope, still not
- 25:01Speaker 3: interested in EPID.
- 25:04Speaker 7: Signed up for the e and you'll be so happy. Yeah,
- 25:07Speaker 7: and so will she?
- 25:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Okay, any last words here to share that you're just
- 25:23Speaker 2: like holding on to before we go, We'll start with Nancy.
- 25:27Speaker 9: I would say, savor it, be there with her, Savor
- 25:32Speaker 9: the moment. You don't have to fear anything. This is
- 25:36Speaker 9: the way it's supposed to be. And be in the
- 25:40Speaker 9: moment with her. And I ditto what Kathy said when
- 25:47Speaker 9: and Susan two. When they're born, all of that worry,
- 25:52Speaker 9: whatever you were worried about, goes away, and then you
- 25:55Speaker 9: have your family. It's like you feel remember it feeling
- 25:59Speaker 9: so safe riding home from the hospital with my husband
- 26:05Speaker 9: and our first baby and your little unit in.
- 26:11Speaker 5: Your whole world.
- 26:12Speaker 9: Change, it changes, but you won't have the worry and
- 26:16Speaker 9: the feary you have right now.
- 26:17Speaker 6: That's right.
- 26:18Speaker 9: I really believe that my second thing is sleep when
- 26:23Speaker 9: the baby sleeps.
- 26:24Speaker 6: When you're at home, don't worry about cleaning, laundering.
- 26:27Speaker 4: No laundry.
- 26:28Speaker 9: It doesn't matter if the house is a mess. Sleep
- 26:31Speaker 9: when the baby sleeps, and take when your parents come
- 26:35Speaker 9: or when Jessica's parents come sleep and let them help
- 26:40Speaker 9: because you need it.
- 26:42Speaker 10: And I would just say, you are embarking on the
- 26:46Speaker 10: most beautiful gift that life ever brings you, and just
- 26:50Speaker 10: enjoy every minute.
- 26:51Speaker 9: And why do you think people do it again and again?
- 26:56Speaker 4: They have been most importantly, just pray to God. That's
- 27:03Speaker 4: all that the baby's healthy. But here's a really important thing.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Did you get a push present?
- 27:09Speaker 3: Oh?
- 27:09Speaker 12: Good?
- 27:10Speaker 6: You need a push present?
- 27:12Speaker 5: Push present?
- 27:13Speaker 6: Then you don't. I give it Tony.
- 27:18Speaker 3: When after she delivered, as soon as like the babies,
- 27:22Speaker 3: I bring.
- 27:23Speaker 6: It to when she's in the hospital.
- 27:25Speaker 4: After they clean up, give her an.
- 27:29Speaker 10: The first time they bring the baby back, and when
- 27:32Speaker 10: it cannot be a ticket to the Dodgers game?
- 27:35Speaker 6: Did usually je is good?
- 27:39Speaker 3: I have something in mind. It gives. Everybody says push present,
- 27:42Speaker 3: But I'm like, I don't understand.
- 27:44Speaker 6: After she pushes, it's not that difficult.
- 27:46Speaker 3: She pushes, not before she gives birth.
- 27:49Speaker 5: Are you push?
- 27:50Speaker 3: Are you sing?
- 27:52Speaker 9: Oh?
- 27:52Speaker 5: I sure did? Oh yeah, buddy, I think I'm still married.
- 27:55Speaker 6: I got my son in law.
- 27:57Speaker 5: Anything like the pushcakes to get the first place.
- 28:01Speaker 9: Let me just tell you it's meaningful, Like I still
- 28:05Speaker 9: have that piece of jewelry and.
- 28:07Speaker 4: I'm it's my it's a coveted gift.
- 28:09Speaker 10: Can I make a suggestion, Yeah, February amethyst, do something.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Amethysts unless she doesn't like that's time, of course, diamonds.
- 28:23Speaker 6: I can't amethysts for his daughter be her worst.
- 28:30Speaker 10: Do something with ammethyt amethysts circled in diamonds.
- 28:34Speaker 6: Can't go wrong.
- 28:37Speaker 9: He just bought diamonds a little solid.
- 28:42Speaker 11: It doesn't have to be you know what a kind
- 28:44Speaker 11: of coffee from generous and what did you think about
- 28:47Speaker 11: a bag of coffee?
- 28:50Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 28:51Speaker 5: You know what.
- 28:52Speaker 8: I'll say this, thank you so much for you're insight.
- 28:54Speaker 8: It's very honestly, God, I love this. I cried first
- 28:57Speaker 8: podcast I've ever cried.
- 28:59Speaker 6: I know there me. We love you guys. You guys
- 29:03Speaker 6: favorite this guy.
- 29:06Speaker 5: God, who's who's going to be a better.
- 29:09Speaker 6: He's going to be a great daddy.
- 29:10Speaker 5: He's going to be the best dad ever.
- 29:12Speaker 8: No pressure, ben, no pressure, pressure, but he's just felt
- 29:16Speaker 8: sincere person.
- 29:17Speaker 4: They're going to be times you'll be challenged. You will
- 29:20Speaker 4: be challenged and you will get frustrated.
- 29:23Speaker 6: And he'll screw up and it's okay.
- 29:25Speaker 4: It's okay when they're screaming and crying when they're a
- 29:28Speaker 4: little bit closer to one years old and you're trying
- 29:31Speaker 4: to train them to go to by themselves.
- 29:34Speaker 5: The thing is one thing.
- 29:41Speaker 10: And then I will come and babysit because I love babies.
- 29:45Speaker 10: Three of the common babysit.
- 29:51Speaker 6: You guys can have a night away. How about that.
- 29:53Speaker 7: I was gonna say the Three Stooges.
- 29:56Speaker 6: The three Stooges with us easily. We can do it, Detroit.
- 30:05Speaker 5: You got a gig, I'll look it up.
- 30:07Speaker 7: But I also think when they're when they're babies, about.
- 30:12Speaker 9: If you have friends, if you're you're like her family,
- 30:15Speaker 9: your family who come in take her out, still have
- 30:24Speaker 9: a date night, like if you if you have the
- 30:28Speaker 9: pleasure of having family, let them babysit, take her outs.
- 30:35Speaker 6: Three golden.
- 30:38Speaker 2: And I'm just saying we came into my house to
- 30:40Speaker 2: watch our baby, that that baby would not be more
- 30:42Speaker 2: taken care of than I could ever do.
- 30:44Speaker 10: We turn the whole.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Conversations like it would be an insane and that and
- 30:55Speaker 2: I can't wait to do that.
- 30:56Speaker 3: Sometimes when the baby's like six and then and we
- 30:59Speaker 3: can the home and she's like this, we're taking.
- 31:05Speaker 6: Lad, We're taking her too.
- 31:10Speaker 11: Don't think about the said any Susan, Annie, Kathy and
- 31:14Speaker 11: Annie Nancy said, they take us to see the plaids,
- 31:19Speaker 11: said me, me, Susan.
- 31:22Speaker 7: Susan's paying for the plan.
- 31:25Speaker 5: Susan said the S word.
- 31:29Speaker 6: You know what, you know what's gonna say? Yes, she did.
- 31:34Speaker 6: Now we want you to open President.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Okay, we're gonna go outside. We're gonna open some presents.
