- 0:02Speaker 1: On Scolds Australia. This is the Reader Panicky Show.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Good evening and welcome to the Reader Panini Show. Coming
- 0:11Speaker 2: up tonight. The latest news poll spells more bad news
- 0:15Speaker 2: for the coalition, but it also shows a challenger emerging.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Adam Crichton. Michael Danbie will join you to cover today's
- 0:21Speaker 2: top headlines. Susan Lee is targeting Chris Bowen, calling him
- 0:25Speaker 2: a week link in the abanezy government. Professor in Pima
- 0:29Speaker 2: will join me to discuss that the Great Josh Hammer
- 0:32Speaker 2: will have the latest from the US, from seditious antics
- 0:36Speaker 2: to Trump's twenty eight point peace plan for Russia and Ukraine.
- 0:41Speaker 2: And Kinzisko Phil will join you later on the hour
- 0:43Speaker 2: to cover the latest entertainment and royal news, including the
- 0:47Speaker 2: fallout for Megan Mark will recreating another iconic Princess diet
- 0:52Speaker 2: moment and Left Is Losing It features Dansaki and Katie
- 0:56Speaker 2: Curic who have totally lost the plot and they think
- 0:59Speaker 2: that trump hating press corps in the US is actually
- 1:02Speaker 2: far too soft on the President.
- 1:05Speaker 3: That's a huge, huge problem because it's becoming more of
- 1:08Speaker 3: a Kremlin esque press.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Corps right and they've invited a lot of reporters from
- 1:14Speaker 4: very right wing media outlets, and you're right.
- 1:16Speaker 5: They usually say, I forget.
- 1:18Speaker 4: There was one example like did you ever believe that
- 1:20Speaker 4: you would be the peacemaker?
- 1:23Speaker 2: But first, support for Andrew Hasty as the preferred opposition
- 1:27Speaker 2: leader is rising as Parliament prepares for the final sitting
- 1:31Speaker 2: week of the year. In bad news for the Coalition,
- 1:33Speaker 2: the latest newsport shows Labor improving its dominant two party
- 1:37Speaker 2: per therred vote, leading fifty eight to forty two percent.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Core support for the coalition remains at twenty four percent,
- 1:45Speaker 2: the lowest level since primary votes were first counted back
- 1:49Speaker 2: in November eighty five. Voters were asked who should lead
- 1:52Speaker 2: the coalition, and while current Leadersism Lee remains a favorite
- 1:55Speaker 2: at twenty four percent, Andrew Hasty follows behind at fifteen
- 2:00Speaker 2: seen percent, followed by Angus Taylor and nine, Tim Wilson
- 2:03Speaker 2: on six percent, and Ted O'Brien on three percent. But
- 2:07Speaker 2: the key figure there is that forty six percent of
- 2:10Speaker 2: respondents didn't know who they would prefer. Joining me now
- 2:14Speaker 2: is Senior Fellow and Chief Economists at the Institute of
- 2:17Speaker 2: Public Affairs Adam Crichton and former Labor MP Michael Danby.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Adam will start with you. Party sources of told The
- 2:23Speaker 2: Australian that there is a possibility of a leadership challenge
- 2:28Speaker 2: before the end of the year. Can we cope with
- 2:31Speaker 2: another one?
- 2:32Speaker 6: Well, look, personally, there's not I think it's too early.
- 2:35Speaker 6: I think the party needs to sort out what it
- 2:36Speaker 6: stands for. I don't think it's the jockey. I think
- 2:38Speaker 6: it's the horse really, and they really need a clear
- 2:42Speaker 6: set of policies. I mean, Susanly does deserve a big tick.
- 2:44Speaker 6: I think for dumping that zero. I mean, it should
- 2:46Speaker 6: have happened much earlier. It took far too long, but
- 2:48Speaker 6: it has happened, and I think so, you know, she
- 2:52Speaker 6: should be given a few months at least to try
- 2:54Speaker 6: to take carriage of that very significant policy. You know, personally,
- 2:57Speaker 6: I have doubts that she'll be able to that's my
- 2:59Speaker 6: personal you but just you know, there's no need to
- 3:01Speaker 6: change over Christmas. I don't think the election is still
- 3:03Speaker 6: more than two years away.
- 3:05Speaker 7: They need a.
- 3:06Speaker 6: Policy on immigration first before they think about changing leaders.
- 3:09Speaker 6: I think, I mean, you've got Clara Oeil out there
- 3:11Speaker 6: at the moment, you know, giving these ridiculous tweets on housing,
- 3:13Speaker 6: saying the only thing the federal government can do is
- 3:15Speaker 6: build more houses to fix the crisis. Well no, no,
- 3:18Speaker 6: we can cut immigration right.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Well, that's another tick for Andrew Hasty, because remember he
- 3:23Speaker 2: stepped down from the Opposition front bench over immigration because
- 3:28Speaker 2: he did want to have some dramastic, dramatic changes. Michael,
- 3:32Speaker 2: I think it's the jockey and the horse. I think
- 3:35Speaker 2: the policies obviously need to be clear, but I don't
- 3:40Speaker 2: know if Susan Lee is the person to prosecute the
- 3:43Speaker 2: case because her own personal principles and ideology aren't aligned
- 3:47Speaker 2: with the direction the lives need to go. She would
- 3:50Speaker 2: be one of the backers of net zero, I'm sure
- 3:52Speaker 2: of that, though now she has to argue against it.
- 3:55Speaker 8: I think she's done relatively well since that change of
- 3:58Speaker 8: policy in argument, which seems to me since I know Andrew,
- 4:02Speaker 8: I hope he gets suspend at least one last idyllic
- 4:04Speaker 8: summer back with his very young family in West Australia.
- 4:07Speaker 8: I think that would be very good for him. I
- 4:09Speaker 8: think it's I agree with Adam that it's too early
- 4:11Speaker 8: for the Libs to make another move. You'd have, my goodness,
- 4:15Speaker 8: all of the state leaders plus another cathartic move inside
- 4:19Speaker 8: the Liberal Party. But it's the election was only in
- 4:23Speaker 8: May Reata, we forget it. It's till May twenty eight.
- 4:27Speaker 8: They've got ninety five to forty three. The Liberals would
- 4:30Speaker 8: need to win twenty five seats, and I think Andrew
- 4:33Speaker 8: hasty and as leader or whatever leader with it more
- 4:37Speaker 8: cut through message would improve their result. But they're almost
- 4:40Speaker 8: in an impossible position.
- 4:41Speaker 9: I just agree with that.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I think that politics has changed, the twenty four hour
- 4:46Speaker 2: news cycle has changed. You can have these dramatic shifts
- 4:50Speaker 2: in the vote. You don't need to have two three
- 4:53Speaker 2: terms to get back into power if you've had a
- 4:55Speaker 2: landslide loss. And I think they need to do the work.
- 4:59Speaker 2: I just think think they are living in dreamland if
- 5:02Speaker 2: they think they can change leaders six months before an
- 5:05Speaker 2: election and convince the Australian people that they're fit for offers.
- 5:10Speaker 6: I just wanted to say that, you know, these these
- 5:12Speaker 6: poles are really pretty meaningless.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I think this are out.
- 5:14Speaker 6: I mean, no one's paying attention.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I mean forty six the third opposition leaders, you know.
- 5:19Speaker 8: So what I mean it doesn't have with people losing
- 5:22Speaker 8: and the Liberal Party, you were right, does have don
- 5:25Speaker 8: Quixote Chris Bowen on this side too, So that could
- 5:28Speaker 8: swing people y you know, back away from the windmills
- 5:32Speaker 8: towards reality.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Just one word answer, who would the would Labor Party
- 5:38Speaker 2: fear most out of the contenders?
- 5:41Speaker 8: They say Hasty, but they also say that he's the
- 5:48Speaker 8: one that they want the most because he's the easiest
- 5:50Speaker 8: to be It's rubbish. We don't know either way. It's
- 5:52Speaker 8: three years away.
- 5:53Speaker 2: It would at least give the Australian people a clear
- 5:56Speaker 2: choice if we had a Hasty in there. Now, let's
- 5:58Speaker 2: talk about Victoria and pre listened to. Alan has called
- 6:01Speaker 2: out the state's judiciary, saying they are too soft on crime.
- 6:05Speaker 2: In an exclusive interview with The Herald's sign Premier, Alan
- 6:08Speaker 2: claims her adult Time for adult crime policy was necessary
- 6:12Speaker 2: because Victorian sentencing had been too soft. She said, it's
- 6:16Speaker 2: sending a message to the brazen, violent offenders, it's sending
- 6:20Speaker 2: a message to victims of crime that we've listened to
- 6:23Speaker 2: those very clear views that have been put to me,
- 6:27Speaker 2: and that there's not enough consequences. And yes, a message
- 6:30Speaker 2: to the justice system as a whole. Well there you go, Adam.
- 6:34Speaker 2: To me, this is just weapon grade HUTSPA. Labor appointed
- 6:38Speaker 2: these soft on crime judges, uniformly left wing types, and
- 6:45Speaker 2: they knew what their views were when they pointed them
- 6:48Speaker 2: to these positions. How can they possibly feign surprise? Now, now, look,
- 6:51Speaker 2: that is totally true.
- 6:52Speaker 6: I mean, the crisis is one of their making and
- 6:55Speaker 6: now they're trying to fix it, so hopefully voters know that.
- 6:59Speaker 6: But you know, this was always going to happen. I
- 7:02Speaker 6: think it was a risk for the liberal opposition here.
- 7:04Speaker 6: I think to focus too much on crime is you're
- 7:06Speaker 6: always going to get a labor so called crackdown in
- 7:09Speaker 6: the lead up to the election, and it's going to
- 7:11Speaker 6: neutralize the issue, I think because most people out there
- 7:13Speaker 6: they don't follow things as closely as as us, sadly,
- 7:15Speaker 6: and they don't know it was Labour's bail laws in
- 7:17Speaker 6: the first place.
- 7:18Speaker 2: You know that triggered some of these problems.
- 7:21Speaker 6: The other annoying thing about this too, is it you know,
- 7:23Speaker 6: it kind of stigmatizes the whole status as if everyone
- 7:26Speaker 6: is committing more crime and it's actually a very small
- 7:28Speaker 6: section of the community that's actually doing the crime.
- 7:30Speaker 2: But we are in a record breaking crime.
- 7:33Speaker 8: Yes, those magistrates are created in the image of the
- 7:38Speaker 8: people that appointed them, and that's where the problem comes from.
- 7:41Speaker 8: The laws are all there if they want to be
- 7:44Speaker 8: enforced or their nonsense virtue signaling, like the so called
- 7:49Speaker 8: mask law. Well, now the police have to come up
- 7:51Speaker 8: to some demonstrate and say, oh, could you please take
- 7:54Speaker 8: off your mask, and of course they should just take
- 7:57Speaker 8: it off them if they're involved in a riot or
- 8:00Speaker 8: demonstration that's inciting violence.
- 8:02Speaker 7: In the city.
- 8:03Speaker 2: And when they appoint these members of the judiciary and
- 8:07Speaker 2: labor have been very clever in the past and appointing
- 8:09Speaker 2: some very young people to the bench because it's they're
- 8:12Speaker 2: in that position for thirty years something.
- 8:14Speaker 8: Not just magistrates, also found in court and higher positions.
- 8:18Speaker 8: There are some people that you know, gossip amongst lawyers
- 8:21Speaker 8: and barristers is, oh my goodness, that person exactly any qualifications,
- 8:26Speaker 8: all qualifications.
- 8:28Speaker 2: If they're highly ideological. It helps if they're young, because
- 8:31Speaker 2: then they'll sit on the bench for thirty odd years.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Then they're in the running. Now, this is just incredible footage.
- 8:40Speaker 2: I'm about to play you. You will see this many times,
- 8:43Speaker 2: but every time I watch it, I'm enthralled all over again.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Billionaire James Packer unleashing on former Victorian Premier Dan and
- 8:51Speaker 2: who's calling him, amongst other things, human filth.
- 8:57Speaker 7: Daniel Andrews is about my least favorite person in the world.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I think Daniel Andrews not only ruined Victoria, he almost
- 9:04Speaker 1: ruined my life. I couldn't speak more lowly of Daniel Andrews.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I think he's human filth.
- 9:12Speaker 5: Jesus sounds like a Joe Aston column.
- 9:15Speaker 7: There you go.
- 9:16Speaker 10: I hope he sues me.
- 9:18Speaker 9: I hope he sues me. That's just incredible.
- 9:21Speaker 2: That was on Joe Aston's podcast, Adam. I wonder what
- 9:24Speaker 2: he really thinks that.
- 9:25Speaker 6: Yeah, look, it was great. I just wish more Victorians
- 9:27Speaker 6: would also. I realized that that's a fair characterization in
- 9:31Speaker 6: my view, given the state that he's left. The state
- 9:33Speaker 6: need I mean just to take the balance sheet one
- 9:35Speaker 6: hundred ninety four billion laws of debt, I mean basically
- 9:38Speaker 6: can't be paid off. And he said that, and James
- 9:41Speaker 6: Packett does know his way around a balance sheet. He's
- 9:42Speaker 6: seen the state finances. They are very very bad. I mean,
- 9:45Speaker 6: whoever wins an nex selection has a really big problem
- 9:47Speaker 6: on that hands.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Well, James obviously has some personal grievances with I think
- 9:51Speaker 2: some of the laws that were changed whilst selling Crown
- 9:55Speaker 2: when it was in the midst of finalizing a deal.
- 9:58Speaker 2: I don't know why that happened the way he did.
- 10:01Speaker 2: But more broadly, for a politician who were told was
- 10:05Speaker 2: just a master politician, hugely popular, Dan Andrews is gets
- 10:12Speaker 2: a hostile reception just about everywhere he goes. From what
- 10:14Speaker 2: I can work out, I'm constantly getting reports from people
- 10:18Speaker 2: saying they saw him being heckled or some harsh words spoken,
- 10:23Speaker 2: even in his favorite horns. And I won't name them
- 10:26Speaker 2: here because I don't want to invite more aggression his way.
- 10:29Speaker 2: But I can't think of another politician in this country
- 10:35Speaker 2: who would be treated like that for the.
- 10:36Speaker 8: Primary really get into a golf club either.
- 10:39Speaker 9: Is that too?
- 10:40Speaker 8: I think the hatred stems from the harshness of the
- 10:44Speaker 8: COVID lockdown in Victoria, which was probably the worst in
- 10:47Speaker 8: the world. But the thing that I'm not upset about
- 10:51Speaker 8: how he affected packet deal, but I am upset about
- 10:56Speaker 8: the way he defamed Australia by standing on that military
- 10:59Speaker 8: parade to Kim Jong un. That's a picture that should
- 11:02Speaker 8: live in.
- 11:03Speaker 10: In for me.
- 11:03Speaker 8: I can't forgive and I don't think Australians will forgive
- 11:06Speaker 8: Dan Andrews for that ever, and.
- 11:08Speaker 2: It's been revealed Michael that Anthony Albernezi Penny Wong none
- 11:12Speaker 2: of their staffers approached Dan Andrews before that Chinese Communist
- 11:17Speaker 2: Party War commemoration and that lengthy handshake he had with Jijiping.
- 11:24Speaker 2: That's probably going to set him up for life. He
- 11:25Speaker 2: wasn't already set up for live. I'm sure there'll be
- 11:28Speaker 2: so many in China who would be looking to him
- 11:32Speaker 2: for business opportunities perhaps, but it seems like incredible that
- 11:40Speaker 2: something that defied diplomatic convention, it didn't seem to concern
- 11:45Speaker 2: the Albanese government or DEFAT D.
- 11:48Speaker 8: There's a systemic problem he all the premiers and he's
- 11:51Speaker 8: the worst. Dan Andrews don't have serious foreign policy advisors,
- 11:56Speaker 8: and the Chinese Communist Party is trying to deal with
- 12:00Speaker 8: subnational states and provinces so they can align one against
- 12:06Speaker 8: the national interest and DEFAT and whoever is the government
- 12:09Speaker 8: of the day should see that all of these premiers,
- 12:12Speaker 8: rather than using people from the Communist parties United Front
- 12:16Speaker 8: as their China advisor, have someone from DEFAT who represents
- 12:19Speaker 8: the national interest and.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Van Andrews signed up to the Belton Roads initiative.
- 12:24Speaker 9: Adam.
- 12:25Speaker 2: The Australian government had to change the law and junk
- 12:27Speaker 2: that deal, but he was the only one. No other
- 12:30Speaker 2: premia signed up, no other The links there certainly trouble
- 12:36Speaker 2: many Victorians, but it's ancient history now. I guess, well, well, well,
- 12:42Speaker 2: I don't know where is it. It's not we don't
- 12:43Speaker 2: use that phrase anymore road.
- 12:45Speaker 6: But the Otheran government was over there is leg The
- 12:47Speaker 6: premier was there for two weeks basically trying to get
- 12:49Speaker 6: investment into the suburban railway.
- 12:51Speaker 9: And who knows what.
- 12:52Speaker 8: Who's financing our debt though I mean that it's gone
- 12:54Speaker 8: up and up and up the foreign part of the debt.
- 12:56Speaker 8: But who are those foreigners? I bet you this is
- 12:59Speaker 8: sort of capital Paul Beijing has involved.
- 13:01Speaker 2: With a lot of it, So not ancient history. After
- 13:04Speaker 2: Michael Daby, Adam Christ and thank you so much for
- 13:06Speaker 2: your time.
- 13:06Speaker 8: Thanks reader.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Joining me now is leading geologist and author Professor Ian
- 13:11Speaker 2: plymer I. Environment Minister Murray Watt will be watering down
- 13:15Speaker 2: heavy penalties for businesses that violate labors revamped nature laws
- 13:21Speaker 2: is trying to reach a deal with the Coalition instead
- 13:24Speaker 2: of the Greens to pass these environmental reforms in the
- 13:28Speaker 2: final sitting week of the year. In the legislation is
- 13:31Speaker 2: intended to accelerate approvals for renewable projects and resource projects
- 13:37Speaker 2: and establish a new environmental watchdog. Do you see it
- 13:42Speaker 2: delivering all that or not at all?
- 13:45Speaker 7: When the government starts talking about penalties, you know they're
- 13:48Speaker 7: not concerned about investment. What the government should be doing
- 13:52Speaker 7: is trying to encourage people to invest in this country
- 13:55Speaker 7: by making it far quicker and easier. For approval for
- 14:00Speaker 7: the roy Hill mine in Western Australia, four nine hundred
- 14:04Speaker 7: and fifty approvals were needed for an iron ore mine
- 14:08Speaker 7: in an iron ore mining district. Now that is just insane.
- 14:12Speaker 7: Last week when I was in Saudi, I was talking
- 14:14Speaker 7: to the Minister for Minds and he said, well, you
- 14:17Speaker 7: will need eleven approvals in this country and it's a
- 14:20Speaker 7: one stop shop. That is the difference between Australia and
- 14:24Speaker 7: a country trying to grow their economy. So what he's
- 14:28Speaker 7: doing in talking about penalties, he's immediately saying I'm not
- 14:31Speaker 7: focusing on attracting investment. I'm focusing on stopping investment and
- 14:36Speaker 7: hurting who we think.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Of the bad guys.
- 14:38Speaker 7: And by the way, thank you for keeping the country alive.
- 14:41Speaker 7: Thank you the coal mines, thank you the iron ore mind.
- 14:44Speaker 2: This is just nuts.
- 14:45Speaker 7: He should be looking at ways to make it quicker,
- 14:48Speaker 7: easier and cheaper to start producing and creating jobs.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Astonishing difference there eleven approvals versus four nine hundred and
- 14:59Speaker 2: fifty needed for the project you mentioned. They're astonishing. Now
- 15:04Speaker 2: the Australian newspaper has revealed that oppositionally to Susan Lee
- 15:07Speaker 2: is going to be launching a Get Bowen campaign and
- 15:12Speaker 2: that's going to be targeting the government's energy policy. Susan
- 15:16Speaker 2: Lee has accused Bowen of being a part time minister
- 15:20Speaker 2: after it was announced he would become the president of
- 15:22Speaker 2: COP thirty one climate change summit in Turkey next year,
- 15:27Speaker 2: and senior Coalisi and sources told the Australian Labor is
- 15:30Speaker 2: badly exposed and Bowen is the weak link. I mean
- 15:34Speaker 2: we could have told them that some time ago. In fact,
- 15:37Speaker 2: I think we did well.
- 15:39Speaker 7: We certainly did. This program's been talking about that for
- 15:41Speaker 7: years now. The government should have been attacked years ago.
- 15:46Speaker 7: The week Link was bown. The week Link was also
- 15:48Speaker 7: the Prime minister. He promised US two hundred and seventy
- 15:51Speaker 7: five dollars. Now that for me is a couple of
- 15:54Speaker 7: decent bottles of wine. I want it. He promised this. Now,
- 15:59Speaker 7: if we can't have a prime minister stick to his promises,
- 16:02Speaker 7: and he promised that almost one hundred times, then he
- 16:06Speaker 7: is able to be attacked absolutely vigorously by the opposition.
- 16:10Speaker 7: The opposition should be targeting really only one or two
- 16:13Speaker 7: things debt and the cost of living. And the cost
- 16:17Speaker 7: of living includes the energy costs, the energy which is unreliable.
- 16:21Speaker 7: It's costing us more and more and more. And we
- 16:24Speaker 7: keep getting told that renewables are the cheapest form of energy.
- 16:27Speaker 7: That just just wait seventeen hundred million years and you
- 16:31Speaker 7: will have cheap energy. Now, we once had cheap energy
- 16:34Speaker 7: in this country. It came from coal. We have destroyed
- 16:38Speaker 7: our coal industry and we wonder why our energy is expensive.
- 16:41Speaker 7: So I think the opposition should have been attacking the
- 16:44Speaker 7: government years ago on these weaknesses and just not letting up.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Well, they finally have abandoned at zero, so they have
- 16:52Speaker 2: an opportunity to.
- 16:53Speaker 9: Do that now.
- 16:54Speaker 2: To Tasmanian asbestos has been discovered in a wind turbine
- 16:59Speaker 2: at a chin Chinese built wind farm in Tasmania. The
- 17:03Speaker 2: hazardous material was recently found in brake pads in the
- 17:07Speaker 2: tower lifts at the Cattle Hill wind farm in This
- 17:11Speaker 2: is terribly worrying. And this same Chinese company has provided
- 17:15Speaker 2: turbines to similar wind farms in Queensland, New South Wales
- 17:19Speaker 2: and Victoria.
- 17:21Speaker 7: Well, I'm not surprised. We know that these wind turbine
- 17:25Speaker 7: blades have got very dangerous complex organic chemicals in them,
- 17:29Speaker 7: like bis fennol a. That's one of these permanent chemicals
- 17:32Speaker 7: that gets into the soils, gets into the waterways. There
- 17:35Speaker 7: are also heavy metals that come out of these blades.
- 17:39Speaker 7: We also have abrasion of these blades, and now we
- 17:42Speaker 7: have asbestos. Now, if this was any other industry, like
- 17:45Speaker 7: say a manufacturing industry or a mine or a farm,
- 17:49Speaker 7: the government would immediately step in and say, okay, you
- 17:52Speaker 7: and the wind industry are paying for an independent organization
- 17:56Speaker 7: to look at them out of asbestos, heavy metals and
- 17:59Speaker 7: complex business chemicals in your machinery, and we will decide
- 18:05Speaker 7: then how much you are fined and whether you can
- 18:08Speaker 7: continue business. Now they find other businesses, why can't they
- 18:12Speaker 7: do it to the sacred wind turbine industry, so we
- 18:15Speaker 7: are only reaping what we sew. And we know that
- 18:19Speaker 7: these goods that we buy from China are pretty shoddy.
- 18:22Speaker 7: We know it. The solar panels also leak out heavy metals.
- 18:26Speaker 7: We also know they leak out complex organic compounds. We've
- 18:29Speaker 7: been saying this for years on this program, and finally
- 18:33Speaker 7: someone has woken up to the fact that there's yet
- 18:35Speaker 7: another component in there which is incredibly dangerous now that
- 18:39Speaker 7: is asbestos. We started to get rid of asbestos in
- 18:42Speaker 7: this country fifty years ago, but the Chinese are just
- 18:45Speaker 7: dumping asbestos and other toxins into Australia in our wind turbines.
- 18:52Speaker 2: And they're building these solar farms, these wind farms sometimes
- 18:56Speaker 2: on fertile farming land. I mean they It is beyond
- 19:01Speaker 2: me how this has been allowed to happen. Professor Enbimer,
- 19:04Speaker 2: thank you for your time.
- 19:06Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Stilting Khama, Lefty is Losing Ed plus Trump's twenty eight
- 19:11Speaker 2: point peace steal for Russia and Ukraine. Josh Hammer will
- 19:15Speaker 2: have the latest. You're watching the Reader Paney Show, and
- 19:27Speaker 2: it's time for Lefty is Losing It. Let's start with
- 19:31Speaker 2: some weapon grade crazy before elevating to something a little
- 19:35Speaker 2: more sophisticated. But first the crazy. This next clip features
- 19:40Speaker 2: Katie Currig. That's the former NBC anchor. You know, the
- 19:44Speaker 2: gal who thought it was a good idea to dine
- 19:46Speaker 2: with Jeffrey Epstein after he was convicted after it became
- 19:50Speaker 2: clear that he was a filthy pedophile. Well, here is
- 19:53Speaker 2: Katie with galpal MSNBC anchor Jensaki.
- 19:57Speaker 5: More and more of the questions in there are by.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Are by people who are not asking about news that
- 20:05Speaker 3: the American people cares about, you know, putting out conspiracy theories.
- 20:09Speaker 3: They're people who and they're getting a lot of the questions.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Conspiracy theories, she says, like the Russian collusion hoax. You
- 20:16Speaker 2: and the Democrats are the propagandas in the media pushed
- 20:19Speaker 2: relentlessly for four years. Imagine how crazy and warped your
- 20:24Speaker 2: view of the world is if you think Donald Trump
- 20:27Speaker 2: is getting an easy ride from the media. Now, let's
- 20:30Speaker 2: hear the ladies turn up the hyperbole.
- 20:33Speaker 3: That's a huge, huge problem because it's becoming more of
- 20:36Speaker 3: a Kremlin esque press.
- 20:38Speaker 4: Corps right and they've invited a lot of reporters from
- 20:42Speaker 4: very right wing media outlets and you're right, They usually say,
- 20:45Speaker 4: I forget there was one example like, did you ever
- 20:48Speaker 4: believe that you would be the peacemaker?
- 20:50Speaker 2: God forbid that the White House Press Corps would be
- 20:54Speaker 2: representative of the country and not exclusively filled with hard
- 20:57Speaker 2: left activists, And I love that. The most egregious examples
- 21:01Speaker 2: you can find of a terrible question is what about
- 21:04Speaker 2: Trump being a peacemaker? Katie the man did oversee eight
- 21:09Speaker 2: piece deals in his second term. It hasn't even been
- 21:11Speaker 2: a year. Now, let's hear from two other young ladies
- 21:14Speaker 2: who display similar intellect and judgment.
- 21:17Speaker 10: To Jen and Katie, seem very misogynistic realistically, So what
- 21:21Speaker 10: is misogynye?
- 21:27Speaker 2: Okay?
- 21:27Speaker 5: So why are you using words.
- 21:28Speaker 2: That you don't even know the definition? But I don't
- 21:29Speaker 2: know what I've meant.
- 21:31Speaker 1: I think.
- 21:33Speaker 5: What does misogynistic mean?
- 21:35Speaker 2: But just say more what you're calling with?
- 21:39Speaker 7: Okay?
- 21:39Speaker 11: So the reason I said it is guess again this
- 21:41Speaker 11: on the the.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Cause you hear it on the internet. No, bro, are
- 21:51Speaker 2: you stipid the nerve to call him stupid after that performance?
- 21:55Speaker 2: The American education system has failed those two. Maybe if
- 22:00Speaker 2: they read a book or two instead of watching Mel
- 22:02Speaker 2: Robbins videos on Instagram, they'd be a little bit smart.
- 22:05Speaker 2: And talking about mel Robbins, she made an appearance on
- 22:09Speaker 2: Bill Maher's program, and sadly, she's a typical ill informed,
- 22:14Speaker 2: awful that's affluent, white female lefty like.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I see so many people are upset about him building
- 22:20Speaker 1: a ballroom. I could give it. I don't. We're not
- 22:28Speaker 1: paying for it.
- 22:29Speaker 2: She really should stick to giving terrible advice to sad
- 22:32Speaker 2: girls on the internet because she clearly knows nothing about politics.
- 22:37Speaker 2: How does she miss the most pertinent fact about the
- 22:40Speaker 2: bore room that it's not taxpayer funded. And let's stick
- 22:44Speaker 2: with Bill Maher, who gave this blistering assessment of Larry David,
- 22:49Speaker 2: the once funny, once genius comic who has allowed his
- 22:53Speaker 2: trumped derangement to run a mark.
- 22:56Speaker 1: This is so childish, so purely emotional that people look
- 23:00Speaker 1: at all butt hurt because I had dinner with them,
- 23:03Speaker 1: you know, because he's hitler, Except he's not so unhelpful
- 23:09Speaker 1: and dumb. Trump is the most supportive president Israel and
- 23:12Speaker 1: the Jews ever had. You know, every year I used
- 23:16Speaker 1: to ask Larry David to do real time and he'd
- 23:18Speaker 1: always say, Bill, I can't. I'm not smart enough about
- 23:22Speaker 1: politics to do your show. Yeah, I get that now.
- 23:27Speaker 2: You know what, Bill Maher is proof that there is
- 23:30Speaker 2: a cure for TDS. He was among the worst offenders, folks.
- 23:34Speaker 2: He would sit right there with nutbags like Robert de Niro,
- 23:38Speaker 2: give them a platform to spew their nonsense, and he
- 23:41Speaker 2: would back it up. He would make the most outrageous
- 23:43Speaker 2: claims about Trump. But though he remains a lefty and
- 23:47Speaker 2: he's also a Democrat, still he's no longer raving like
- 23:51Speaker 2: a lunatic. So growth now to a video that has
- 23:54Speaker 2: caused all sorts of uproar because the President correctly labeled
- 23:58Speaker 2: it seditious. Here we have Democrats calling for members of
- 24:02Speaker 2: the military to break the chain of command and disobey orders.
- 24:07Speaker 2: I'm just going to play you ten seconds of this
- 24:09Speaker 2: nonsense right now. The threats to our constitution aren't just
- 24:12Speaker 2: coming from a road, but from right here at home.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Our laws are clear.
- 24:16Speaker 12: You can refuse illegal orders.
- 24:18Speaker 2: You can refuse illegal orders now. Typically CNN anchor Jake
- 24:23Speaker 2: Tappa has joined the Democrats in claiming that Donald Trump
- 24:27Speaker 2: is giving illegal orders to the US military and that
- 24:30Speaker 2: individuals could be charged for following those orders. And of
- 24:35Speaker 2: course He's far more upset by Trump reacting to the
- 24:38Speaker 2: sedition than the sedition itself.
- 24:41Speaker 12: President Trump's wildly inappropriate and potentially dangerous call for six
- 24:48Speaker 12: members of Congress to potentially be executed or hanged because
- 24:53Speaker 12: they issued a video reminding members of the military that
- 24:55Speaker 12: they do not have to carry out illegal orders. This
- 25:00Speaker 12: is over the FAA Act because Trump's reaction was so
- 25:03Speaker 12: out of control that this issue of illegal orders is
- 25:07Speaker 12: not a new one. There's this new movie out starring
- 25:10Speaker 12: Russell Crowe called Nuremberg.
- 25:13Speaker 2: I just love that after having a mass meltdown about
- 25:16Speaker 2: a so called insurrection, Democrats are now campaigning for an
- 25:20Speaker 2: insurrection quite openly too. And what about Jake Tappa referencing
- 25:25Speaker 2: Nuremberg the movie because his dim audience doesn't know the
- 25:29Speaker 2: actual history. Let's see it now from one of these
- 25:33Speaker 2: Democrats who call for members of the military to commit treason. Essentially,
- 25:37Speaker 2: here is Alissa Slotkin. I wonder if she can name
- 25:41Speaker 2: one illegal order that President Trump has issued.
- 25:45Speaker 5: Do you believe President Trump has issued any illegal order?
- 25:50Speaker 13: To my knowledge, I am not aware of things that
- 25:53Speaker 13: are illegal, but certainly there are some legal gymnastics that
- 25:56Speaker 13: are going on with these Caribbean strikes and everything related
- 25:59Speaker 13: to Venezu.
- 26:00Speaker 2: What did she say, to my knowledge, I'm not aware
- 26:03Speaker 2: of things that are illegal. There you go. But she
- 26:08Speaker 2: and her treason as collaborators felt the need to create
- 26:11Speaker 2: a very well produced video calling on members of the
- 26:14Speaker 2: military to disobey lawful orders, to break the chain of command.
- 26:19Speaker 2: And it gets worse when she's pressed for examples. She
- 26:23Speaker 2: claims she was just talking broadly, and then she really
- 26:27Speaker 2: loses it and starts scrambling. She mentions Nuremberg and even
- 26:31Speaker 2: a Tom Cruise film.
- 26:32Speaker 11: It does imply that the president is having illegal orders,
- 26:37Speaker 11: which you have not seen.
- 26:38Speaker 13: I think for us, it was just a statement widely,
- 26:41Speaker 13: right I don't. I mean, look, you going back to Nuremberg,
- 26:44Speaker 13: right that, Well, they told me to do it. That's
- 26:45Speaker 13: why I murdered people.
- 26:47Speaker 5: Is not an excuse.
- 26:48Speaker 13: If you look at popular culture, Lily, you watch you
- 26:51Speaker 13: know a few good men like we have plenty of
- 26:53Speaker 13: examples since World War Two in Vietnam where people were
- 26:57Speaker 13: told to follow illegal orders and they did it and
- 26:59Speaker 13: they were prosecuted for it.
- 27:01Speaker 2: But you just said that President Trump had not issued
- 27:05Speaker 2: any illegal orders.
- 27:07Speaker 9: That would be the key.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Point joining me, now, is Newswork, Senior Editor at Large
- 27:12Speaker 2: at Article three Projects, Senior Council Josh Hammer. Josh, this
- 27:16Speaker 2: whole campaign by the Democrats has now been turned around
- 27:20Speaker 2: to attack Donald Trump because he said what they did
- 27:23Speaker 2: was seditious, tantamount to treason. How do you see this?
- 27:29Speaker 10: Well?
- 27:29Speaker 2: Read it?
- 27:30Speaker 11: There's a lot to go a pack here. First of all,
- 27:31Speaker 11: can we forever dispel the notion that Alyssa slock and
- 27:34Speaker 11: Mark Kelly and these other notable Democratic leather officials or
- 27:38Speaker 11: anything other than essentially indistinguishable from Jasmine Crockett, aoc in
- 27:43Speaker 11: the most radical left flank. You know, they were sold
- 27:45Speaker 11: Senator is Kelly of Arizona, Senator Slocket, who we just
- 27:48Speaker 11: saw in Michigan. They were sold as moderate statesmen.
- 27:51Speaker 9: There They're not.
- 27:52Speaker 11: These are radicals, with very very very few exceptions. John
- 27:57Speaker 11: Feerman comes to mind, but they are really few and
- 27:59Speaker 11: from between. Their party is from soup to knuts, from
- 28:02Speaker 11: top to bottom, filled with revolutionaries, with genuine Marxist style
- 28:06Speaker 11: Western revolutionary surgeons who are here to topple the established order.
- 28:10Speaker 11: And that is what this insane video, this utterly insane
- 28:13Speaker 11: propagandistic video is attempting to do, It absolutely is incitement
- 28:18Speaker 11: to insurrection. That's what I called it on my show,
- 28:19Speaker 11: because that's exactly what it is. They are telling you
- 28:22Speaker 11: not to follow the chain command. The chain of commands
- 28:25Speaker 11: RITA is the sinaquon non of a military in a
- 28:28Speaker 11: Western style democracy. The chain of command is what separates
- 28:31Speaker 11: an active military ultimately subordinate to playing clothes officials. In America,
- 28:36Speaker 11: that would be the commander in chief. That's what separates
- 28:38Speaker 11: us in civilization from the barbarians. And they are cutting
- 28:41Speaker 11: at the very core of that. They are playing with
- 28:43Speaker 11: absolute fire here. Now, if they actually had one or
- 28:46Speaker 11: two examples that they could point to and say, oh,
- 28:48Speaker 11: according to our well detailed legal research, according to this
- 28:51Speaker 11: Supreme Court case, acordant to this president, blah blah blah
- 28:53Speaker 11: blah blah, this actually is illegal. Fine, maybe let's have
- 28:56Speaker 11: that conversation. I'm a lawyer. I'm very happy to have
- 28:58Speaker 11: that conversation.
- 28:59Speaker 2: But you just he she can't name a single one.
- 29:01Speaker 11: She literally cannot name a single possible order here.
- 29:04Speaker 7: So what are you doing.
- 29:05Speaker 11: You're literally encouraging the armed men and women of this country,
- 29:09Speaker 11: in our volunteer military, to disobey the chain of command
- 29:12Speaker 11: to get court martialed or potentially worse for that, and
- 29:15Speaker 11: then you're not gonna have your back because you can't
- 29:18Speaker 11: even think of an example on the furp of there.
- 29:20Speaker 11: This is so insanely crazy, Rita. And I guess the
- 29:23Speaker 11: final point that I'll end this filibuster on is I
- 29:25Speaker 11: will say this, Ever since the Butler Pennsylvania near assassination
- 29:29Speaker 11: of Donald Trump that happens almost a year and a
- 29:31Speaker 11: half ago, now, we've been waiting for the radical left
- 29:34Speaker 11: to tone down their comparisons about how Trump is a Nazi,
- 29:37Speaker 11: Trump is Hitler, Trump is Stalin. In that clip she's
- 29:39Speaker 11: talking about Nuremberg. Oh my god, I mean how she's
- 29:43Speaker 11: literally making the Nazi comparison there. They've learned nothing. They
- 29:46Speaker 11: have learned absolutely nothing, and most maddening to me as
- 29:50Speaker 11: an American patriot, they are putting our armed men and
- 29:53Speaker 11: women in our armed forces in harm's way by telling
- 29:56Speaker 11: them to commit insurrection without having their back. It's disgusting,
- 29:59Speaker 11: is discription, and at bare minimum, they should be expelled
- 30:03Speaker 11: from the Senate. Frankly, these reprehensible hacks, if nothing worse
- 30:05Speaker 11: than them.
- 30:07Speaker 2: And I also missed the point that if you actually
- 30:09Speaker 2: did live in a fascist dictatorship, which they think they do.
- 30:14Speaker 2: You wouldn't be able to produce that video. You wouldn't
- 30:16Speaker 2: be able to post it all over social media and
- 30:19Speaker 2: get mainstream media coverage. Much of the mainstream media coverage
- 30:24Speaker 2: has been positive for those Democrats. What do you say
- 30:29Speaker 2: to the likes of say Jake Tapper, who has joined
- 30:32Speaker 2: them in suggesting that members of the military are in
- 30:35Speaker 2: danger of committing crimes by following illegal orders. He also
- 30:41Speaker 2: mentioned Nuremberg and Vietnam. He seems to be mirroring the
- 30:45Speaker 2: same arguments and putting this suggestion that the US military
- 30:52Speaker 2: right now is committing some sort of war crimes or
- 30:55Speaker 2: illegal acts.
- 30:57Speaker 11: Yeah, look, Jee Tapper is quintessential Trump drain syndrome left
- 31:02Speaker 11: wing commentator in the United States. This this is someone
- 31:04Speaker 11: who was upon a time was maybe center left. Jake Tapper,
- 31:07Speaker 11: once upon time was was not quite as far left
- 31:10Speaker 11: as as let's call it a medi Hassan or a
- 31:12Speaker 11: joyless joy read or someone like that.
- 31:14Speaker 2: There.
- 31:14Speaker 11: But but Jake Tapper drank the TDS kool aid with
- 31:17Speaker 11: every ounce of what the TDS kool aid consists of,
- 31:20Speaker 11: and at this point he's basically indistinguishable from that It's
- 31:22Speaker 11: sad because Jake is a man who really ought to
- 31:25Speaker 11: know better. But if Jake didn't know better than then
- 31:27Speaker 11: what he would realize is that the actual crime that
- 31:30Speaker 11: could that that could happen here is if you were
- 31:33Speaker 11: in the chain of command and you simply do not
- 31:34Speaker 11: follow the chain of command. Again, I cannot emphasize this enough.
- 31:37Speaker 11: I did not serve in the US r M forces,
- 31:39Speaker 11: but literally all my veteran friends who did emphasize time
- 31:42Speaker 11: and time again that the chain of command from the
- 31:44Speaker 11: commander in chief to the Chairman adjoined Cheese, the generals,
- 31:47Speaker 11: all the way on down. This is how the military functions.
- 31:51Speaker 11: And you play with absolute fire when you start to
- 31:53Speaker 11: play with them. If there is an order that you
- 31:55Speaker 11: were ordered to do that you that for whatever reason
- 31:58Speaker 11: you genuinely feel like you cannot do. There are remedies
- 32:01Speaker 11: available for you. You can seek a court martial, You
- 32:03Speaker 11: can go to a military court. We have military law
- 32:06Speaker 11: and military tribunials. There are various options to you. What
- 32:09Speaker 11: you cannot do is to just say, oh, my hands
- 32:12Speaker 11: are tired because you are illegal. You are not in
- 32:14Speaker 11: any position to do that. We have military judge do that.
- 32:16Speaker 9: There.
- 32:17Speaker 11: If Jake Tapper knew a damn thing about the law,
- 32:18Speaker 11: then he would know that.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Now, let's talk about California. Who's going to take over
- 32:24Speaker 2: the reins from Gavin Newsom. It's going to be a Democrat,
- 32:27Speaker 2: and we know that it's a one party state. We've
- 32:30Speaker 2: had the front runner, Katie get out of my shot, Porter.
- 32:34Speaker 9: Stick could lose.
- 32:37Speaker 2: You're out of my shot, she imploded a few weeks
- 32:42Speaker 2: back during a friendly CBS interview. Was quite an extraordinary performance.
- 32:47Speaker 2: And we've got another big name contender, Josh Eric Swollwell,
- 32:52Speaker 2: he has some bold ideas of his own.
- 32:55Speaker 12: I want us to build a voot by phone.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Every California vote by phone.
- 32:59Speaker 13: Yeah, we can do our taxes, do our you know,
- 33:02Speaker 13: our make our healthcare appointments, uh, you know, make essentially
- 33:07Speaker 13: your do your banking online.
- 33:09Speaker 12: You should be able to vote by pune.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Josh, Could it work? I've heard dumber ideas. Maybe not today,
- 33:15Speaker 2: but I've certainly heard dumber ideas. Could Americans cast their
- 33:19Speaker 2: vote on their fine.
- 33:22Speaker 9: Reader?
- 33:23Speaker 11: Eric Eric Swall someone whose IQ is one and a
- 33:27Speaker 11: half standard deviations below the mean on a good day.
- 33:29Speaker 11: On a worse day, it happens to be worse than that.
- 33:31Speaker 11: He's also quite possibly a Chinese spy. Let's not forget
- 33:34Speaker 11: the whole affair. Feng Fang. Feng Fang is a name
- 33:38Speaker 11: that many of us here have not forgotten. This or
- 33:40Speaker 11: this was the Chinese honey pot that Eric Swall was
- 33:43Speaker 11: was found to be romantically involved with a number of
- 33:45Speaker 11: years ago, and that has stuck with many of us
- 33:47Speaker 11: ever since that he has never offered a square explanation
- 33:49Speaker 11: for that, that that that entire scandal. I have no
- 33:52Speaker 11: idea what the hank Eric Swall thinks that he has
- 33:54Speaker 11: accomplished to put him in a position to run for
- 33:56Speaker 11: governor of the most populous day in the country. But
- 33:58Speaker 11: then again, did O, Katie Porter and Frankly did a
- 34:01Speaker 11: virtually all these other candidate who are putting their hat
- 34:04Speaker 11: into the ring. As far as notion of voting by phone. Frankly,
- 34:08Speaker 11: I think that America's elections are insecure enough as it is.
- 34:11Speaker 11: I would not be one to you necessarily want to
- 34:13Speaker 11: add an additional layer of insecurity. I think that there
- 34:16Speaker 11: are enough legitimate concerns, and if you look at the polls,
- 34:19Speaker 11: there are enough people who say that they do not
- 34:20Speaker 11: necessarily fully trust that their votes are going to be
- 34:23Speaker 11: cast and tagulated there. I mean, what could possibly go
- 34:26Speaker 11: wrong by relying on AT and T in a Verizon
- 34:29Speaker 11: and the various mobile cell phone providers to cast your vote?
- 34:32Speaker 11: I mean, I can think approximately a million to two
- 34:35Speaker 11: million things that could possibly go wrong with that picture there.
- 34:37Speaker 11: So no, that strikes me as yet another quind essentially
- 34:39Speaker 11: really really stupid Eric Swawll idea, which again is part
- 34:42Speaker 11: of the course because he's a pretty dumb man.
- 34:43Speaker 2: As the case, I just can't believe he's in the running.
- 34:47Speaker 2: You would think the entire Fang Fang affair, the fact
- 34:52Speaker 2: that he was in a serious relationship with a Chinese
- 34:57Speaker 2: Chinese Communist Party spy, would to disqualify you from any
- 35:01Speaker 2: sort of public office for life. But no, here is
- 35:05Speaker 2: He's still wanting to be governor of California now. Secretary
- 35:10Speaker 2: of State Marco Rubio said earlier today that he was
- 35:13Speaker 2: very optimistic that negotiators could reach a deal to end
- 35:18Speaker 2: the war between Russia and Ukraine. Rubio had met today
- 35:22Speaker 2: with delegate with delegation from Kiev in Geneva, and he
- 35:26Speaker 2: said the issues that must be resolved were not insurmountable.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Now here from President Trump, He's got a twenty eight
- 35:35Speaker 2: point proposal, but he has a number of provisions that
- 35:38Speaker 2: Ukraine has previously rejected.
- 35:42Speaker 12: We're trying to get it engined.
- 35:44Speaker 14: One way or the other.
- 35:45Speaker 1: We happen to get it engined.
- 35:46Speaker 14: So you want to it.
- 35:51Speaker 7: Well that he can continue, that he can continue the
- 35:55Speaker 7: fighters with.
- 35:55Speaker 1: The heart out Josh.
- 35:57Speaker 2: He said. If President Zelenski rejects the plan, then he
- 36:01Speaker 2: can continue to fight his little heart at and he
- 36:04Speaker 2: wants an answer from Kiev by Thursday.
- 36:09Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 36:09Speaker 11: Look, so basseed of what I've seen from this plan
- 36:11Speaker 11: read the broad outlines of it are something that I
- 36:14Speaker 11: could see myself getting behind. There's one thing that I'm
- 36:17Speaker 11: less confident of. But Ukraine's gonna have to give up territory. Okay,
- 36:21Speaker 11: I've been saying that bluntly for at least two years now.
- 36:24Speaker 11: Many of us have been saying that blunly for years now.
- 36:25Speaker 11: Ukraine is not going to gain back territory. To this day,
- 36:28Speaker 11: no one has put a credible plan on the table
- 36:31Speaker 11: to show how Ukraine is going to in a post
- 36:34Speaker 11: war world, how you can convince Russia to simply give
- 36:38Speaker 11: up territory that it has actually acquired over the past
- 36:40Speaker 11: couple of years, So that to me seems like a
- 36:42Speaker 11: non starter. You have the typical hacks in the left
- 36:44Speaker 11: wing media of the New York Times, MSMAC, the hardcore
- 36:47Speaker 11: Slava Ukraine crowd. They're all saying, oh my god, this
- 36:50Speaker 11: is a Pudin plant plan they're giving away.
- 36:52Speaker 9: No.
- 36:52Speaker 11: I mean, Trump is a realist. He lives in reality.
- 36:55Speaker 11: So that is what's going on here when it comes
- 36:57Speaker 11: to some territorial concessions from Ukraine in the Eastern Ukraine
- 37:00Speaker 11: region of the Dombas, the Crimean peninsul and so forth.
- 37:03Speaker 11: A part of the plan that I am not certain
- 37:05Speaker 11: of yet, and it's going to depend on the details,
- 37:09Speaker 11: is this NATO Article five style security guarantee. Now, the
- 37:12Speaker 11: part that I think I could be willing to get
- 37:14Speaker 11: behind personally is that if I understand it correctly, there
- 37:17Speaker 11: is a ten year time limit on it for now.
- 37:19Speaker 11: It's not a perpetuity commitment, if I understanding correctly, similar
- 37:22Speaker 11: to NATO Article five. However, if Russia were to actually
- 37:26Speaker 11: then invade in the next ten years, which they probably
- 37:28Speaker 11: wouldn't to be clear if that guarantee were in place,
- 37:30Speaker 11: but if they would, there you're committeed US troops, British
- 37:33Speaker 11: troops French streets. I mean, that's potentially a very serious
- 37:36Speaker 11: thing there, right, So I would like to hear more
- 37:39Speaker 11: details about that before I offered it my enthusiastic support.
- 37:42Speaker 11: But based on what I can see right now, I
- 37:43Speaker 11: think that I think that it is clever and it does,
- 37:46Speaker 11: broadly speaking, map out with what I've been thinking a
- 37:48Speaker 11: possible piece deal could look like for the past.
- 37:50Speaker 4: Couple of years.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Now, now let's talk about the Epstein of files and
- 37:55Speaker 2: House Republicans, including James Coma. I have ordered Bill and
- 37:58Speaker 2: Hillary Clinton to testify next month about their ties to
- 38:03Speaker 2: the convicted pedophile. And it was a staunch Democrat as well,
- 38:07Speaker 2: Jeffrey Epstein. We forget that Josh. The Clinton's legal team
- 38:12Speaker 2: has earlier this month said their clients were willing to
- 38:14Speaker 2: make a written statement. What are the chances they will
- 38:18Speaker 2: actually appear and testify in person?
- 38:22Speaker 11: Oh, I think close to zero. I think they're going
- 38:25Speaker 11: to plead the fifth until eternity. Frankly, on this one,
- 38:30Speaker 11: I don't think.
- 38:30Speaker 9: I don't think.
- 38:31Speaker 5: I don't.
- 38:31Speaker 11: I don't think slick Willy wants anything near a microphone
- 38:34Speaker 11: when it comes to ask point blank, why were you
- 38:36Speaker 11: on Jeffrey Epstein's playing the little Leaded Express over thirty times.
- 38:41Speaker 11: I look, I mean, I don't think Bill Clinton will
- 38:43Speaker 11: get anywhere near a microphone. Hillary Clinton has been making
- 38:46Speaker 11: some of the media arounds here recently for god knows
- 38:48Speaker 11: what reasons. I don't really know exactly what he's trying
- 38:49Speaker 11: to do, other than to maybe griff to get another
- 38:51Speaker 11: multimillion dollar book dealer or something like that. But maybe
- 38:54Speaker 11: there's a world in which he'll rely could appear before
- 38:56Speaker 11: the microphone, because she just has an utterly insatiable appetite,
- 38:59Speaker 11: even at the late stage of her feckless career, to
- 39:02Speaker 11: sip before the cameras in preem But I put the
- 39:04Speaker 11: odds there pretty low as well. To be honest with you,
- 39:06Speaker 11: I think they will plead the fifth, they will do
- 39:08Speaker 11: some statement there, But your broader point is important. Jeffrey
- 39:11Speaker 11: Epstein was a hardcore Democrat. He was a hardcore Democrat.
- 39:15Speaker 11: He hated Trump, by the way, That's why he was
- 39:17Speaker 11: texting Stacy Plaskett, the US Virgin Islands Congress Woolman during
- 39:20Speaker 11: that twenty nineteen Michael Cohen here. He was literally texting
- 39:23Speaker 11: her get Trump talking points in real time. He despised
- 39:26Speaker 11: Donald Trump because Donald Trump kicked him outamar Lago. Because
- 39:29Speaker 11: Donald Trump became a very successful person without getting involved
- 39:32Speaker 11: in horrific pedophilia and child sex trafficking operations, unlike Jeffrey
- 39:36Speaker 11: Epstein there. So he was a hardcore Democrat there. And frankly,
- 39:40Speaker 11: if Chuck Schumer, Hakim Jeffries and wrote Keahona, all these
- 39:43Speaker 11: Democrats had an immorsal an ounce of intellectual consistency there.
- 39:47Speaker 11: They will be asking all the questions ten times as
- 39:50Speaker 11: much when it comes to Bill Clinton as they are
- 39:51Speaker 11: with respect to Donald Trump.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Absolutely, And Michael Wolfe, was also a vehement anti Trumper,
- 40:00Speaker 2: said in a recent interview that Jeffrey Epstein believed that
- 40:03Speaker 2: Donald Trump may have been the one who first alerted
- 40:06Speaker 2: authorities to what was happening at his property, and he
- 40:10Speaker 2: hated him ever since. So this whole narrative and the
- 40:13Speaker 2: fact that he chucked him out of marri Lago back
- 40:16Speaker 2: in two thousand and eight. But you mentioned Hillary Clinton.
- 40:19Speaker 2: She does have an insatiable appetite for attention. And she
- 40:23Speaker 2: did another appearance and she explained that she's been daydreaming
- 40:28Speaker 2: about a Goodbye Trump announcement.
- 40:32Speaker 14: You know what this reminds me of as I wish
- 40:34Speaker 14: that there could be like a huge national sound system
- 40:38Speaker 14: and we would all wake up and they attention.
- 40:42Speaker 2: We have found the problem, and we have solved that
- 40:44Speaker 2: he has gone. She is still around. But if she's
- 40:50Speaker 2: still a force to be reckoned with, we hear from
- 40:54Speaker 2: her a lot. We don't hear much from Bill Clinton
- 40:56Speaker 2: these days. Why are these appearances happening to the Democrats
- 41:00Speaker 2: think she still has some sway with the American electorate.
- 41:06Speaker 11: It's a very good question. I don't claim to fully
- 41:08Speaker 11: understand the phenomenon myself. I, even subjected to the various
- 41:12Speaker 11: tortures of watching the Clinton crime family, do these interviews
- 41:15Speaker 11: for my entire adult life rita and I can't get
- 41:17Speaker 11: them off my TV screen quickly enough. I suspect that
- 41:20Speaker 11: there are many folks here in the United States who
- 41:22Speaker 11: feel the same way that I do.
- 41:24Speaker 9: Now.
- 41:25Speaker 11: The Clintons were a famously moderate Democratic family. They have
- 41:28Speaker 11: moved considerably far to the left as the party has
- 41:31Speaker 11: moved further and further to the left, just to try
- 41:33Speaker 11: to fit in with the times. They must clearly think
- 41:36Speaker 11: that Hillary offers something I guess superstar power if nothing
- 41:41Speaker 11: else there I mean Hillary Clinton and Broack Obama, I
- 41:43Speaker 11: suppose to this day are the two most famous Democrats alive, right,
- 41:48Speaker 11: I mean, I'm not sure who else will be. It's
- 41:50Speaker 11: definitely not Joe Bien, that's for sure. So I mean,
- 41:52Speaker 11: those are the two who I guess still offer some
- 41:54Speaker 11: semblance of quote unquote star power. But look, Rita, I mean,
- 41:58Speaker 11: the Clinton's had I've been dealing with crimes here for
- 42:01Speaker 11: almost a half century, literally going back to Whitewater in
- 42:03Speaker 11: Arkansas in the late nineteen seventies. I mean, there are
- 42:06Speaker 11: so many skeletons in that family's closet. And I think
- 42:09Speaker 11: as American people, especially start talking about Epstein a little more,
- 42:11Speaker 11: a lot of this Clinton related Epstein drama is going
- 42:14Speaker 11: to start to percolate more and more of the service there.
- 42:16Speaker 11: So maybe I'm naive, maybe I'm a little pollyanna ish,
- 42:20Speaker 11: let's say, but but I think that there's a chance
- 42:23Speaker 11: that the Epstein thing, coming as front and center as
- 42:25Speaker 11: it is about to come here in the United States,
- 42:26Speaker 11: could lead to Hillary entering stage left. And the boy,
- 42:29Speaker 11: could that not come soon and quickly enough?
- 42:32Speaker 2: That could just be wishful thinking there, Josh, But we'll
- 42:36Speaker 2: watch and say Josh Habba, thank you so much for
- 42:38Speaker 2: your time. Thank you still to come. And Meghan Markle
- 42:42Speaker 2: recreates another iconic Princess di image, Kinsey's Schofield We'll have.
- 42:47Speaker 9: The details, Welcome back.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Joining me now is celebrity and world commentator Kinsey Schofield.
- 43:03Speaker 9: Kinsey.
- 43:03Speaker 2: Meghan Markol has come under fire for recreating Diana's famous
- 43:08Speaker 2: cross legged photoshoot for Half as Bizarre and Kinsey, this
- 43:13Speaker 2: isn't the first time she has recreated some of Diana's
- 43:17Speaker 2: most iconic looks. I don't know what running app.
- 43:23Speaker 5: Oh, yes you do.
- 43:24Speaker 10: You know when someone lacks a clear sense of identity
- 43:27Speaker 10: or direction, they start to lean on imitation, And Meghan
- 43:30Speaker 10: is such a polarizing figure she must think cars playing
- 43:34Speaker 10: Princess Diana will help her absorb some of the warmth
- 43:37Speaker 10: people still feel for Die. But Megan's Harper's Bizarre spread
- 43:41Speaker 10: doesn't feel like inspiration. It feels like replication. The parallels
- 43:45Speaker 10: to Princess Diana's Vanity Fair Chute are so deliberate that
- 43:49Speaker 10: they come off as vulgar, and it raises real questions
- 43:53Speaker 10: about how Prince Harry copes with seeing his wife recreate
- 43:56Speaker 10: images tied to his mother's final years, and still has
- 44:00Speaker 10: not established an identity of her own. You know, without
- 44:04Speaker 10: a strong intercompass, it becomes much easier to borrow someone
- 44:08Speaker 10: else's legacy instead of building your own. And the Harper's
- 44:11Speaker 10: bizarre piece underscores a large running issue with Meghan's public presentation.
- 44:16Speaker 10: There is no sense of purpose, no clear message. It
- 44:19Speaker 10: feels like someone sharing something. It feels less like someone
- 44:23Speaker 10: sharing something meaningful and more like someone trying to stay
- 44:26Speaker 10: in the spotlight for the sake of it.
- 44:29Speaker 2: I tell you, if Diana was around, none of this
- 44:32Speaker 2: would be happening. I think she would have nipped this
- 44:34Speaker 2: Meghan Michael business in the bud early on. She would
- 44:37Speaker 2: have seen her coming from a million miles away. And
- 44:41Speaker 2: it seems like the late Prince Philip maybe saw her coming.
- 44:45Speaker 2: He allegedly gave Prince Harry a warning about getting married
- 44:48Speaker 2: to Meghan Michael ahead of the wedding in twenty eighteen.
- 44:52Speaker 2: The interaction was detailed in royal biographer Andrew Lowney's book
- 44:56Speaker 2: entitled The Duke of Edinburgh allegedly told her Harry one
- 45:00Speaker 2: steps out with actresses, one doesn't marry them, Kinsey, that
- 45:06Speaker 2: would be hilarious if it was accurate, and I've got
- 45:09Speaker 2: a feeling it is accurate.
- 45:10Speaker 5: Yeah, I've heard that from multiple sources.
- 45:12Speaker 10: And according to royal author Ingrid Seward, Prince Philip privately
- 45:16Speaker 10: referred to Meghan as the Duchess of Windsor, comparing her
- 45:19Speaker 10: to Wallace Simpson. And you know, she stresses that Prince
- 45:24Speaker 10: Philip warned the Queen to be cautious of Megan. There's
- 45:27Speaker 10: also the royal butler Grant Harold's account of Philip saying
- 45:30Speaker 10: to Queen Elizabeth, thank f that's over as they left
- 45:33Speaker 10: Harry and Meghan's wedding. So, I mean, I think it's
- 45:37Speaker 10: pretty confident that Prince Philip wasn't a fan.
- 45:42Speaker 2: Now we're hearing more about what went on at Jeffrey
- 45:45Speaker 2: Epstein's infamous party at his New York mansion in twenty ten.
- 45:50Speaker 2: Former mbsc an Katie Couric sat around a table with
- 45:54Speaker 2: Epstein for cocktails and lasagna, yep choosing to break bread
- 45:58Speaker 2: with a convicted set offender, and they apparently talked about
- 46:02Speaker 2: international politics. Of course they did, Kinsey, what else can
- 46:06Speaker 2: you tell us?
- 46:07Speaker 10: Yeah, she's also was teasing Prince Andrew at the time.
- 46:11Speaker 10: Andrew Mount Mountain Windsor now about William and Catherine's wedding,
- 46:14Speaker 10: asking if she could have a cell phone number so
- 46:16Speaker 10: she could call him during the ceremony.
- 46:18Speaker 5: I mean, to your point, I just want to remind.
- 46:21Speaker 10: Everybody to remember that visual of Katie curt cozied up
- 46:25Speaker 10: to Jeffrey Epstein every time she lashes out and makes
- 46:28Speaker 10: allegations against our president. Katie has been so hostile about
- 46:31Speaker 10: Trump's relationship with Epstein when all of Epstein's victims have
- 46:35Speaker 10: said Trump was nothing but kind to them and there
- 46:37Speaker 10: was no inappropriate behavior. You know, Katie claimed ignorance about
- 46:42Speaker 10: this event and about these people. But former Vanity Fair
- 46:45Speaker 10: editor Tina Brown was astute enough to turn down the invitation.
- 46:49Speaker 5: She now calls it the predator's ball.
- 46:53Speaker 9: Wow, that's going to.
- 46:54Speaker 2: Ring to it. I just can't believe anybody, let alone
- 46:58Speaker 2: someone who's got the sort of profile Katie Curry had
- 47:00Speaker 2: a the time, would accept an invitation from a pedophile
- 47:06Speaker 2: either a two thousand and eight conviction, and this dinner
- 47:09Speaker 2: was in twenty ten. This meal two thousand and eight
- 47:13Speaker 2: conviction was for paying for sex with a fourteen year old. Now,
- 47:18Speaker 2: in my mind, fourteen year olds can't consent, so that
- 47:22Speaker 2: to me is rape. But however you want to characterize
- 47:25Speaker 2: that it was against the law. He pleaded guilty. That
- 47:28Speaker 2: was two thousand and eight and twenty ten. He's got
- 47:30Speaker 2: all these famous people sitting around his table. Give me
- 47:34Speaker 2: a break. Now, Wicked. We've talked about this film before.
- 47:38Speaker 2: People have flocked to see The new Wicked movie was
- 47:42Speaker 2: released last week. The cinema goers were shocked to see
- 47:46Speaker 2: a trigger warning before the film started. Kinsey, what's that about?
- 47:51Speaker 10: Yeah, it warrants the audience to prepare themselves mentally to
- 47:54Speaker 10: see characters who cast magical spells.
- 47:57Speaker 5: On one another.
- 47:58Speaker 10: I mean, not only was Wicked wildly successful on Broadway,
- 48:01Speaker 10: it's the sequel to a blockbuster film. Shouldn't we already
- 48:05Speaker 10: be mentally prepared? And do we really need a warning?
- 48:08Speaker 10: I think Carry Potter is even insulted in this scenario, and.
- 48:13Speaker 2: The incessant crying from the leads continues. I saw another
- 48:18Speaker 2: interview where it was actually more members of the cast.
- 48:21Speaker 2: It wasn't just Ariana Grande and Cynthia Arrivo, and they
- 48:25Speaker 2: were all crying again. I mean, there is something wrong
- 48:29Speaker 2: about that movie or on the set. Something has happened
- 48:33Speaker 2: because these people seeing changed and perhaps not changed in
- 48:39Speaker 2: a way that's improved their mental health.
- 48:42Speaker 10: Well, I don't like to comment on people's physical appearance,
- 48:45Speaker 10: but just look at how then both of the actresses
- 48:50Speaker 10: have become it's been to a point of being concerned
- 48:55Speaker 10: about it. So I think you are asking some fair
- 48:58Speaker 10: questions as to what's gone on mentally over the last
- 49:01Speaker 10: few years since they began filming this movie.
- 49:06Speaker 2: They're just all over each other. They're crying. Their reactions
- 49:10Speaker 2: are so off. The effect is all off. Now before
- 49:13Speaker 2: you go, One of Keith Urban's fans has told TMZ
- 49:17Speaker 2: that he got the inside scoop about the singer's divorce
- 49:21Speaker 2: from our Nicole Kidman weeks before the rest of the world.
- 49:25Speaker 2: How did Keith let it slip? Kinsey?
- 49:28Speaker 10: So yeah, Keith met his darpelganger in Canada and they
- 49:31Speaker 10: joked that the only way to tell them.
- 49:33Speaker 5: Apart was Keith's tattoos and wedding ring.
- 49:35Speaker 10: And as Keith told the fan goodbye, he noted that
- 49:39Speaker 10: the next time they saw each other it might just
- 49:41Speaker 10: be the tattoos, alluding to the fact that he wouldn't.
- 49:44Speaker 5: Have his ring on. I mean, that's a dead giveaway.
- 49:47Speaker 2: That is a giveaway, but sometimes you know, people take
- 49:50Speaker 2: off their rings, they get them cleaned. I still think
- 49:53Speaker 2: there's a lot to be told about that divorce. I
- 49:56Speaker 2: have a fear that our Nicole was hard done by.
- 50:00Speaker 2: And I say our Nicole because it's also our Keith,
- 50:02Speaker 2: isn't it. We can't really, it's not like the Tom
- 50:05Speaker 2: Cruise divorce with Nicole Kidman, and we could demonize him
- 50:07Speaker 2: as an American hurting our girl. But I think we're
- 50:10Speaker 2: going to hear a lot more about this as the
- 50:13Speaker 2: divorce finalizes. Kinsischofield, thank you so much for your time tonight,
- 50:18Speaker 2: and that's all the time I have. I'll see you
- 50:21Speaker 2: at eleven tomorrow night. Up next, it's Newsnight.
