- 0:11Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to Tonight's sleep story, a story following
- 0:16Claire as she takes a journey into a deep, healing
- 0:20crystal cave. My name is Jason Stephenson, and I welcome
- 0:25you wholeheartedly into Tonight's story. So settle into the space
- 0:31that holds you. And when you are ready, just gently
- 0:35closing your eyes and take a few mindful breaths to
- 0:40settle in, softening your brow, your belly, and your shoulders
- 0:46as you breathe, and let any stories in your mind
- 0:55just begin to dissolve as you make space for a
- 0:58new story, a story that embodies peace, wisdom, and healing. Now,
- 1:10this story begins in the Scottish countryside, where rolling hills
- 1:14of lush green grass extend for miles and miles. Outside
- 1:21of a small village near the western coast. Rests Claire's home,
- 1:27a restored stone farm house built many moons ago. On
- 1:32this warm summer afternoon, Claire rests in the upper bedroom
- 1:38back flat, upon a summer quilt, eyes gazing out towards
- 1:43the moors. Claire moved here not long ago, drawn to
- 1:50this area from a large town in the south. She
- 1:54had heard of the region's reputation for healing and magic
- 1:58through quiet whispers from people she trusted immensely. She didn't
- 2:07know the land here well, and yet her ancestors did.
- 2:11Claire's great grandparents grew up not far from here, and
- 2:15so she feels a subtle connection to the earth that
- 2:19holds both the old farmhouse and herself. Just beyond the window,
- 2:26Claire watches the sun as it kisses the earth. It's
- 2:31late afternoon, nearly four o'clock, and as she rests, she
- 2:36considers how she might live out the rest of the day.
- 2:42It's a Saturday, and the world around her is quiet.
- 2:47Her laptop is closed, as she's made a promise to
- 2:50herself to set aside all computer work for the weekend hours.
- 2:55Claire reflects back on the hours preceding this one, the
- 3:00hens she attended, to, the knitting projects she had just begun,
- 3:06and the home cooked lunch she shared with a mother
- 3:09who has since returned to a home in the south.
- 3:15Her attention shifts to the healing qualities that drew her
- 3:18to this land and to the words spoken by locals
- 3:23during her first few weeks here. One woman spoke of
- 3:29the Crystal Cave down by Ailah Bay, a cave that
- 3:33legend says holds the infinite healing powers of the world.
- 3:40Claire remembers that this kind elderly woman wrote down the
- 3:45directions to Aila Bay on a small scrap of paper.
- 3:50She had intended to follow these directions one of these days,
- 3:54and yet had not come around to it. Perhaps it
- 3:58was fear of the unknown that held her back, or
- 4:01resistance to the notion that this cave could hold such
- 4:05healing potential. Now, however, observing the way that the sun
- 4:12and the wind and the high grass dance together as
- 4:16if by magic, Claire's heart is alive to the world,
- 4:21attuned to the infinite beauty, wonder and possibility that lay
- 4:27before her. Slowly, Claire swings her legs off the bed
- 4:34and rises to her feet, stretching her arms up overhead
- 4:40with heart wide open. She feels a rush of energy
- 4:44coursed through a body. The summer sun shines through the
- 4:49open window, its warmth caressing a skin. Claire makes a
- 4:57way towards the staircase, an stretched out to glide upon
- 5:02the wooden hand railing as she makes her way down
- 5:05to the ground floor. Step by step by step, she
- 5:14moves into the warm, welcoming kitchen. The glowing sunbeams through
- 5:19the windows, illuminating the mellow yellow walls and the granite countertops.
- 5:28Just next to the fridge, Claire fiants her stack of notes,
- 5:32business cards, and lists of things to do. She shuffles
- 5:37through the stack slowly, eyes opening for the handwriting of
- 5:42that lovely woman she met just a few weeks ago,
- 5:46and sure enough, near to the bottom of the pile,
- 5:50she discovers the folded sheet of scrap paper with the
- 5:54directions to Aila Bay written in delicate cursive. A small
- 6:00smile stretches from cheek to cheek as she gazes down
- 6:04at the scribbled words station road all the way to
- 6:10its end, then turn left to follow the footpath that
- 6:13lines the coast, take the stone staircase down to the sea,
- 6:18and then head right to a La Bay. Claire reads
- 6:24the words a few more times to etch the directions
- 6:27into a mind. She folds the paper back up and
- 6:31tucks it into a pocket in case she may need it,
- 6:35and then she packs a bag to prepare for the journey.
- 6:41Speaker 2: With her.
- 6:41Speaker 1: She brings a warm blanket, as knights can get cool here,
- 6:45as well as a sweater, a few snacks, and a
- 6:49water bottle. She then heads towards the front door, laces
- 6:54up her hiking boots, and heads out into the open air.
- 7:01Station road is not far from here, and so Clear
- 7:05meanders through the moors in its direction. As she walks,
- 7:11she revels in the soft summer breeze that rushes through
- 7:14a hair and against the skin. It dances through the grass, too,
- 7:20whispering as it passes. She makes note of the other
- 7:27features of this landscape too, old stone houses, narrow dirt roads,
- 7:35scattered gray boulders, and ancient stone fences. She takes a long,
- 7:42deep breath in absorbing the peace and tranquility, and then
- 7:48she releases with a sigh, letting go of the past
- 7:52to surrender more completely to the present. Soon, Claire reaches
- 8:03what she knows to be a station road. As she
- 8:07steps out from the valley and onto the road, she
- 8:10turns right to head towards the sea. The vast waters
- 8:16glitter in the distance before her. As she breathes, she
- 8:22notes its unique aroma, the smell of salt, vitality, and
- 8:27wonder all blended into one. The sea is still some
- 8:33distance away, and so she meanders slowly down this quiet road,
- 8:40quietly contemplating her intention for coming here, what drew her
- 8:46to this land and to this cave in the first place,
- 8:52Claire considers the yearning within her to heal, the yearning
- 8:56she holds to grow and transform. Though Claire knows she's
- 9:03been blessed in this life, provided with many gifts and
- 9:07opportunities to blossom, there are energy patterns inside of her
- 9:11that she knows holds her back. And so she sits
- 9:16with this question, what drew me to this land and
- 9:21to the Crystal Cave? Or in other words, what is
- 9:26it that I long to heal? Soon her truth emerges.
- 9:35It rises as a whisper, a longing to heal any
- 9:40remaining self doubt and insecurity she holds to mend her
- 9:46relationship to her inner critic. In essence, she longs to heal,
- 9:53to uplift, to nourish, and to mend the relationship she
- 9:58has with herself. And yet she does not dwell on
- 10:04how she will heal. She trusts the road she is
- 10:08on and the mystery of the Crystal Cave ahead of her.
- 10:13With warmth and tenderness in her heart, she continues down
- 10:17station road, watching as the sea gets closer with each step. Soon,
- 10:34Claire meets the sea, which is down the cliff below her.
- 10:39From way up high, she has a perfect view of
- 10:43the coast in both directions. She admires the slowly descending
- 10:48sun as it mingles with the sea, creating a matrix
- 10:53of diamonds upon the water's surface. And then she recalls
- 11:00from the note that she must take the small footpath
- 11:03to a left trailing alongside this mystic coast. As she
- 11:11heads south, she again watches the wind as it dances
- 11:15through the moors tall grass as curve away from the sea.
- 11:21Guided by the salty breeze, wildflowers dance too, adding an
- 11:27extra flare of lightness and beauty. Claire keeps her eyes
- 11:35attuned to the cliff by a side, eyes open for
- 11:39the stone staircase that will lead it down to water,
- 11:45and sure enough, just up ahead she catches sight of
- 11:51the first step. She makes her way towards it and
- 11:55rests in awe with how seamlessly this staircase blows ends
- 12:00into the earth. Standing at its top, she takes a long,
- 12:06deep breath in and out, and then slowly she begins
- 12:11her descent. As she moves closer towards the sea and
- 12:19to the pebbled beach below, she feels herself surrendering ever
- 12:24more to the magic of her life. Since the day
- 12:29she was born, she's been on an adventure of learning
- 12:33and unlearning, and here on this day, she senses that
- 12:38she's reaching an important milestone. Mindful step by mindful step,
- 12:48she descends towards the earth beside the sea. All physical
- 12:54tension softens as she moves onwards, and her heart opens wider. Finally,
- 13:07she arrives on the pebbled shore At the bottom of
- 13:10the cliff, Soft waves lap against the coast as she
- 13:15remembers the final instructions, head right to Aila Bay. Majestic
- 13:23cliffs line the land to a right. She walks between
- 13:27them and the lively waters, following the shoreline and minding
- 13:33each step. The pebbled beach transitions into rocky terrain, requiring
- 13:41her to climb over boulders and carve out her own way.
- 13:46She climbs and crawls, and steps and jumps away across
- 13:50the rocky shoreline, until soon the land curves sharply inwards.
- 13:57She turns the rounded corner and her eyes fall upon
- 14:01a quiet cove, a le bay. The inlet sparkles beneath
- 14:08the now amber sunlight, the air is next still. It
- 14:15feels declare, as if she has found her way to
- 14:18a place removed from it all, a place that the
- 14:22world has truly never discovered. She knows she's not the
- 14:28first wanderer to come here, a knowing that settles and
- 14:31inspires her. At the same time, she senses that very
- 14:37few people have traveled here, and within this cave secrecy,
- 14:43she intuits there is a great power to be discovered.
- 14:50Claire continues along the shoreline, which is a smooth terrain
- 14:54than the rockier coast. Now behind her in the distance,
- 15:00in the center of the bay, she sees a small,
- 15:03dark opening perched atop a pile of boulders. Slowly she
- 15:10makes a way towards it, bathing beneath the setting sun
- 15:15as she goes. As she reaches the foot of this
- 15:25boulder pile, she gazes up at the dark opening of
- 15:29the cave. This must be the entrance to the Crystal Cave,
- 15:35she thinks to herself, and as those words pass through her,
- 15:41she sees something glimmer from within the darkness. She takes
- 15:46it as a sign that this is where she needs
- 15:49to be, and so she begins to climb the boulders
- 15:53in the direction of the cavernous opening. Up and up
- 16:02she goes, until soon she arrives at the entrance. As
- 16:08she peers in, everything she ever knew seems to fall away.
- 16:14She is struck with awe at the sight of hundreds
- 16:18of crystal pillars gleaming before her from floor to ceiling.
- 16:26Columns of sparkling gemstones present this cave as more of
- 16:30a palace than anything else. Lilac, soft, pink, pale, orange,
- 16:37and white crystal pillars are spread throughout this miraculous and
- 16:42spacious cave. Clare marvels at this enchanted oasis hidden within
- 16:49the earth. For a moment, she feels unable to move.
- 16:55A mind cannot make sense of this place she's arrived at,
- 17:01and so quickly she decides to let the mind go,
- 17:05knowing that the mind is not paramount to this journey.
- 17:09What is broader here and what matters most is heart, body,
- 17:14soul and spirit. As soon as Claire returns to her
- 17:23immediate senses, to the solid earth beneath her and to
- 17:28the breath moving through her, she begins to explore this
- 17:33crystal cave with great curiosity. She roams the open space
- 17:39between the glimmering pillars, tracing their majesty from floor to
- 17:45ceiling and back down to earth. They are wide and
- 17:50seemingly well rooted, not so unlike ancient trees in an
- 17:55old growth forest. She soon arrives at a pillar that
- 18:04captures her interest more completely, if that were somehow possible.
- 18:10It is a rose quartz and nearly two feet in diameter.
- 18:16Something in Claire calls her to wrap her arms around it,
- 18:21and as she does, she feels its healing energy pulse
- 18:25through a heart. She takes a deep breath in welcoming
- 18:33this soft, pink, healing energy into her heart, and as
- 18:38she breathes out, she feels this energy traveling throughout the
- 18:42rest of her body. Claire spends a little while longer
- 18:50in direct contact with this crystal pillar, a few tears
- 18:54of joy rolling down her cheeks, and as she pulls
- 19:05away from the quartz, she feels a rush of love
- 19:10moving through her a love for herself, for this crystal column,
- 19:16and for the earth as a whole. She realizes that,
- 19:20in fact, on the deepest level, they are one and
- 19:24the same. Now, Claire continues through this cave, taking pores
- 19:34to connect with other gemstones that grace this space. She
- 19:39feels into the warmth, vitality, and creative power of the
- 19:44orange calcite pillars, and into the calming and spiritually enhancing
- 19:51energy of the surrounding amethyst, and as she moves a
- 19:58little further still, she comes to a circle of a
- 20:02dozen white quartz pillars. As she looks around, she realizes
- 20:09that this must be the center of the cave. As
- 20:14she steps into the center of the circle, she feels
- 20:18the universally cleansing energy of the white quartz radiating through
- 20:24her from head to toe, through mind, body, and spirit.
- 20:31She listens to the frequency of the crystals as their
- 20:35song drums through her ears. Claire breathes deeply, feeling herself
- 20:44attuning to the healing frequencies that pervade this cave. Growing tired,
- 20:53she decides to let herself rest in the center of
- 20:55these quartz columns. She pulls out a sweater and blanket,
- 21:01wrapping herself up completely. She takes a few SIPs of
- 21:06the water, sensing that its hydration will help her to
- 21:10integrate the energy field that surrounds her, and then she
- 21:16comes to rest flat on her back, surrendering completely to
- 21:21the wonder of the natural world that cleanses and nourishes
- 21:26her in mind, body, and spirit. She knows that she
- 21:31is fully supported in this moment. There is nothing else
- 21:36that she needs. Claire gazes up at the ceiling of
- 21:43the cave, which appears in her eyes as a sea
- 21:47of minerals. The light of the setting sun, which is
- 21:52now a vibrant magenta, reflects off the crystal ceiling, causing
- 21:58it to shimmer. The wondrous sunset glow penetrates all the
- 22:04crystal columns in the cave, and as Claire reflects back
- 22:11on her intention for coming here, she realizes that deep
- 22:16in her body and in her higher mind, she has
- 22:21received what she was in search of. She knows how
- 22:26to tend to herself with full embrace and to communicate
- 22:31lovingly with a divine being. She feels inner divides coming together, mind, body,
- 22:39and heart and spirit aligned as one. The sun continues
- 22:47to fade beyond the cave, bringing darkness to the space
- 22:52that holds her. Claire welcomes the coming night as an
- 22:57opportunity to rest and to inter great what she has
- 23:01received from these healing crystals. When she awakes, she will
- 23:08be surrounded by their healing energy before she makes the
- 23:12journey back home. For now, she allows her eyes to
- 23:19close and a body to surrender into slumber, and as
- 23:25she drifts off, she lets the frequency of these healing
- 23:29crystal vibrations continue to cleanse her, healing her entire being
- 23:35in ways she previously only dreamed off. Good Night, my friend,
