0:23
Speaker 1: Center.
0:24
Speaker 2: This is obviously a very big show, and it's an
0:26
Speaker 2: important one because the world is changing before our very eyes.
0:30
Speaker 3: On Saturday, President Trump launched a major military attack on Iran,
0:35
Speaker 3: a bombing, bombing from the sky, bombing from naval vessels.
0:40
Speaker 3: It was done in close coordination with Israel, that likewise
0:44
Speaker 3: launched a bombing attack. In the opening minutes and hours
0:49
Speaker 3: of the attack, the Ayatola Kameinee was killed. Other major
0:53
Speaker 3: leaders of Iran were killed. The bombing is ongoing. You
0:57
Speaker 3: and I are recording this Sunday afternoon, and of right now,
1:01
Speaker 3: over nine hundred bombing strikes have been carried out by
1:04
Speaker 3: the United States. Over one two hundred bombing strikes have
1:07
Speaker 3: been carried out by israel I. Spent the entire day
1:12
Speaker 3: on Friday with President Trump. The day before the attack,
1:16
Speaker 3: we spent much of the time discussing the attack that
1:20
Speaker 3: was coming. This podcast, we're going to try to explain
1:23
Speaker 3: exactly what's happening, why President Trump attacked Iran, what is
1:29
Speaker 3: likely to happen as a result, and what the next
1:32
Speaker 3: stages are. We're also going to talk about the mass
1:34
Speaker 3: shooting that occurred at two am Sunday morning in Austin, Texas,
1:39
Speaker 3: in a bar on Sixth Street, where a gunman murdered
1:43
Speaker 3: two other people and injured seventeen. That gunman, in turn,
1:47
Speaker 3: was shot and killed by Austin police early in dish
1:52
Speaker 3: ye make it appear that this was a terrorist attack.
1:54
Speaker 3: He was wearing a sweatshirt that said property of Allah.
1:57
Speaker 3: He was wearing a shirt with the Iranian flat on it.
2:00
Speaker 3: It is still early. I spoke today with Cash Patel,
2:03
Speaker 3: the director of the FBI. We're gonna break that down
2:06
Speaker 3: as well. This is gonna be a podcast where we
2:09
Speaker 3: try to examine everything you need to know about what
2:12
Speaker 3: is happening in Iran, how it is going to impact
2:15
Speaker 3: the United States, and what's coming next.
2:17
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really important. I want to take a moment
2:19
Speaker 2: and talk to you about rough Greens. If you've got
2:21
Speaker 2: a dog or a puppy, you are gonna love rough Greens. Now,
2:24
Speaker 2: I've been telling you about my older dog and some
2:28
Speaker 2: of the symptoms that he was having, slowing down and
2:31
Speaker 2: itching and having bad breath, losing interest in playtime. That
2:36
Speaker 2: is just part of the aging process, but it doesn't
2:38
Speaker 2: have to be. And after just a few weeks of
2:40
Speaker 2: rough Greens we start to see a real difference. This
2:43
Speaker 2: stuff is truly amazing, and if you have a dog
2:47
Speaker 2: you love, you've got to try rough Greens for your
2:50
Speaker 2: dog for life. It not only supports long term health
2:53
Speaker 2: by providing live, bioavailable nutrients including essential vitamins, minerals, probiotics,
2:59
Speaker 2: and digest of enzymes, as well as omega oils. The
3:03
Speaker 2: ingredients work together to improve nutrition absorption and maintain joint
3:07
Speaker 2: and musclehealth and enhance overall vitality, and you can witness
3:11
Speaker 2: it happen over weeks. So if you love your dog
3:15
Speaker 2: and you are ready to get your dog back to
3:17
Speaker 2: the way maybe he used to be and was more playful,
3:20
Speaker 2: then check out Roughgreens.
3:23
Speaker 1: It's so easy.
3:24
Speaker 2: You just put it on top of your traditional dog
3:26

4:00
Speaker 2: Promo code verdict. So, Senator, you mentioned earlier that you
4:03
Speaker 2: were on the plane with President Trump air Force one.
4:06
Speaker 2: We're going to get to that and what was discussed
4:08
Speaker 2: on the plane a moment because a lot of people
4:09
Speaker 2: listening they're going to want to hear that. But let's
4:12
Speaker 2: talk about the biggest news now. And you actually were
4:14
Speaker 2: on Face the Nation earlier today and had a lot
4:16
Speaker 2: to say about this attack on Iran and how successful
4:20
Speaker 2: it's been so far. So take a listen to what
4:23
Speaker 2: Senator Cruise had to say earlier today on Face the Nation.
4:26
Speaker 4: Senator, just looking at the global environment right now. Saint
4:30
Speaker 4: Com announced three Americans were killed and five seriously wounded
4:34
Speaker 4: in this operation. President Trump and President Vice President Vance
4:39
Speaker 4: campaigned on not getting America involved in new wars. What
4:43
Speaker 4: do you say to Americans this morning who are asking
4:46
Speaker 4: why we are in this conflict now?
4:50
Speaker 3: President Trump's decision to launch this decisive action against Iran
4:54
Speaker 3: is the single most important decision of his presidency. I
4:57
Speaker 3: think he laid out powerfully and effectively why he is
5:01
Speaker 3: taking this action. He's taking this action because the government
5:05
Speaker 3: of Iran is a profound and malign influence. They have
5:10
Speaker 3: been the leading state sponsor of terrorism for forty seven years.
5:16
Speaker 3: They have over that time killed nearly one thousand Americans.
5:21
Speaker 3: They provide more than ninety percent of the funding for Hamas.
5:27
Speaker 3: They provide more than ninety percent of the funding for Hesbolah.
5:31
Speaker 3: The Iranian Ayatola was until yesterday, actively trying to murder
5:36
Speaker 3: the President of the United States Donald J.
5:38
Speaker 1: Trump.
5:40
Speaker 3: I spent the entire day with President Trump on Friday,
5:43
Speaker 3: right before he launched these attacks. He and I discussed
5:46
Speaker 3: this at length on Friday. My council to him was
5:50
Speaker 3: that the Iranian regime has never been weaker, that it
5:53
Speaker 3: was teetering, and now was the time. My advice was
5:58
Speaker 3: do not miss this opportunity. I think the President has
6:02
Speaker 3: acted boldly, He's acted decisively, and Iran no longer being
6:08
Speaker 3: led by a theocratic, murderous dictator. That makes America much
6:17
Speaker 3: much safer.
6:18
Speaker 4: Senator, you are not going to find a lot of
6:19
Speaker 4: people in any way defending the Supreme Leader, that is
6:23
Speaker 4: for sure. However, putting Americans in harm way is what
6:27
Speaker 4: I'm pressing you on.
6:28
Speaker 3: Here.
6:29
Speaker 4: Did the President explain to you why he called off
6:34
Speaker 4: active diplomacy Because at the very same time he was
6:38
Speaker 4: on that plane, the Vice President of the United States
6:40
Speaker 4: was talking to the Omani mediator who was trying to
6:42
Speaker 4: get a deal, and told us that they were close
6:44
Speaker 4: to one. Why not choose diplomacy.
6:48
Speaker 3: Because the diplomacy was an abject failure. The Iranians approached
6:53
Speaker 3: the diplomacy with arrogance, which with absolute hubris. They said
6:59
Speaker 3: they would not stop enriching. No matter what, they were
7:02
Speaker 3: going to continue to enrich uranium. They would not discuss
7:06
Speaker 3: zero enrichment. They claimed a right to enrich uranium in
7:11
Speaker 3: underground bunkers with no supervision. As President Trump said on
7:16
Speaker 3: Friday when he was with me in Texas, his line
7:19
Speaker 3: was zero enrichments, and the Iranians refused to discuss it.
7:24
Speaker 3: They also refused to discuss their proxies. They refused to
7:27
Speaker 3: discuss Hamas and Hesbela and the Huthis, and President Trump
7:31
Speaker 3: understood that the Iranian quote negotiation was just a stall
7:36
Speaker 3: tactic and that the only response my advice to him,
7:40
Speaker 3: I said, there's only one deal you should accept, and
7:43
Speaker 3: it's the deal that you offered Maduro, which is if
7:47
Speaker 3: you want to leave and flee the country, you can
7:49
Speaker 3: do so. Anything else is unacceptable, and COMMANI made his choice.
7:55
Speaker 4: Well, there's disputes there in terms of your characterization of
8:00
Speaker 4: what was actually on the table and what the administration
8:04
Speaker 4: had indicated it was willing to accept in terms of
8:06
Speaker 4: allowing enrichment for medical purposes and the like. But that's
8:10
Speaker 4: now obviously so margin what I.
8:12
Speaker 1: Just told you.
8:13
Speaker 3: What I just told you is almost word for word
8:16
Speaker 3: what Secretary of State Marco Rubio told me yesterday.
8:21
Speaker 4: Can you tell us now if you believe that there
8:24
Speaker 4: was an ongoing nuclear weapons program. One of the top
8:28
Speaker 4: arms arms control experts out there, David Albright, has written
8:32
Speaker 4: there should be an immediate priority on rapid response operations
8:35
Speaker 4: to secure Iran's nuclear stockpiles right now, can you assure
8:40
Speaker 4: the public that it will be secured and if so,
8:43
Speaker 4: who is doing it? If there are no Israeli or
8:46
Speaker 4: US forces on the ground.
8:49
Speaker 3: So there is no doubt that a year ago Iran
8:52
Speaker 3: had an active and ongoing nuclear weapons program. We took
8:55
Speaker 3: out the vast majority of that at the end of
8:58
Speaker 3: the Twelve Day war.
9:00
Speaker 4: US intelligence assessment was not made public. If that is
9:02
Speaker 4: what was brief to you.
9:05
Speaker 3: We took out We launched targeted bombs at the end
9:09
Speaker 3: of the Twelve day war, where we dropped the equivalent
9:12
Speaker 3: of about a third of a nuclear weapon on those
9:15
Speaker 3: underground facilities, facilities like Forida, which was built into the
9:19
Speaker 3: base of a mountain. The bunker buster bombs we used.
9:22
Speaker 3: Israel doesn't have those bombs. No other country has those bombs.
9:27
Speaker 3: We took them out last year. The Iranians were still
9:32
Speaker 3: hell bent on rebuilding them. And one of the things
9:34
Speaker 3: we are doing right now is taking out their missiles,
9:37
Speaker 3: in particular the Southern missile belt. Right now, Iran is
9:41
Speaker 3: building roughly one hundred missiles a month. They're actively building
9:45
Speaker 3: missiles to threaten their neighbors, and they're firing.
9:48
Speaker 4: Some of them right now at their neighbors.
9:50
Speaker 1: Yeah, at our allies.
9:51
Speaker 3: They're illustrating powerfully. They're attacking virtually every Arab neighbor that
9:57
Speaker 3: surrounds them. They are firing missiles that it's almost like
10:01
Speaker 3: they want to illustrate to the world just how malign
10:03
Speaker 3: they are.
10:04
Speaker 4: But in terms of containing the risk, who's securing the
10:07
Speaker 4: nuclear material that you say still exists within Iran? Who's
10:10
Speaker 4: doing that? Look?
10:12
Speaker 3: Look the quantity of nuclear material. I didn't say one
10:15
Speaker 3: anything one way or another on that. What I said
10:19
Speaker 3: is they were building nuclear weapons a year ago and
10:21
Speaker 3: our bombing took that out. They also had an ongoing
10:25
Speaker 3: desire to rebuild them. I don't have present day intelligence
10:30
Speaker 3: on what progress they had made towards rebuilding nuclear weapons
10:34
Speaker 3: since we bomb their facilities, I have no indication that
10:39
Speaker 3: they were anywhere close to getting nuclear weapons because our
10:42
Speaker 3: bombing was devastating, And Margaret, that's one of the reasons
10:46
Speaker 3: I urged President Trump. Now is the time. You know,
10:50
Speaker 3: dictatorships survive because they're perceived as invulnerable, and in this instance,
10:56
Speaker 3: Iran decisively lost the twelve day war that week in
10:59
Speaker 3: the regime and set up what the president is doing.
11:02
Speaker 1: Now, Senter.
11:04
Speaker 2: I found it very interesting just how much she wanted
11:07
Speaker 2: to say that somehow.
11:08
Speaker 1: Her sources are better than your sources.
11:10
Speaker 2: When you were just with the President United States of
11:12
Speaker 2: America had just talked directly to Marco Rubio.
11:15
Speaker 1: It was pretty hilarious.
11:16
Speaker 2: She's like, well, that's not why all the intelligence says,
11:18
Speaker 2: and you're like, no, like, I just talked to the
11:21
Speaker 2: people where the intelligence is coming from. If you this why,
11:24
Speaker 2: I go back and say, you don't hate the media enough.
11:26
Speaker 2: This is what they do. By the way, we saw
11:28
Speaker 2: this with headlines today New York Times is a great
11:30
Speaker 2: example of the propaganda of how they're like still standing
11:33
Speaker 2: there acting like the Iatola was some sort of like
11:36
Speaker 2: decent and humane individual that was taken out. This is
11:41
Speaker 2: the narrative, and you witnessed it right there in that
11:42
Speaker 2: interview with you.
11:44
Speaker 3: Well, the New York Times headline says, Ayatola Ali Kameni,
11:49
Speaker 3: hardline cleric who made ran a regional power, is dead
11:54
Speaker 3: at eighty six, which is just redics And and I'll
12:01
Speaker 3: say Mark Alprin had had an amusing take on it.
12:06
Speaker 1: Uh.
12:06
Speaker 3: He said that headline was a little bit like a
12:08
Speaker 3: headline quote Jeffrey Dahmer, hungry Wisconsin man passes away.
12:14
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it's not far off.
12:17
Speaker 3: While technically accurate, it conveys, you know, approval of the conduct.
12:27
Speaker 3: And and in fact, I want to in fact that
12:31
Speaker 3: that New York Times headline is as ridiculous as as
12:34
Speaker 3: the older Washington Post headline. Uh that that that read
12:38
Speaker 3: a boo Baker al Baghdaddy, austere religious scholar at the
12:42
Speaker 3: helm of Islamic State, dies at forty eight. I mean,
12:47
Speaker 3: it's just absurd, but but it but it's actually it's
12:52
Speaker 3: not the worst. The Washington Post wrote an obituary for
12:58
Speaker 3: the Ayatola that if Saturday Night Live had done this,
13:02
Speaker 3: they couldn't have made it more absurd. I'm going to
13:04
Speaker 3: read you a paragraph from it. With his bushy white
13:09
Speaker 3: beard an easy smile, Iatola Kameni cut a more avuncular
13:15
Speaker 3: figure in public than his perpetually scowling but much more
13:19
Speaker 3: revered mentor, and he was known to be fond of
13:22
Speaker 3: Persian poetry and classic Western novels, especially Victor Hugo's Les Miserab.
13:30
Speaker 3: Some Iranians knew Iatola Kameni before he became Supreme Leader
13:35
Speaker 3: described him as a quote closet moderate. Look, that is sick.
13:43
Speaker 3: This is the same Iatola who regularly chants death to
13:47
Speaker 3: America and death to Israel. This is the same Iatola
13:51
Speaker 3: that set the goal of creating nuclear weapons, I believe,
13:55
Speaker 3: for the purpose of using those nuclear weapons. This is
13:59
Speaker 3: the same Iotolia who is responsible for killing nearly one
14:03
Speaker 3: thousand Americans, for waging war on America relentlessly, for funding
14:09
Speaker 3: hamas Hesbla. The houthis ninety percent of their funding comes
14:14
Speaker 3: from Iran. This is the same Iatola. Look. One of
14:17
Speaker 3: the reasons we went into Venezuela is Iran had a
14:20
Speaker 3: major beachhead in Venezuela. Maduro allowed Iran in there. Hesbola
14:26
Speaker 3: had a major beachhead to wage war in Venezuela, to
14:32
Speaker 3: attack the United States. Look, this evuncular man with a
14:38
Speaker 3: bushy white beard, as the numbskulls at the Washington Post
14:42
Speaker 3: put it, until yesterday, was actively trying to murder President
14:49
Speaker 3: Donald Trump. Had hired hitman, had put out a video,
14:53
Speaker 3: an animation showing a drone going to mar A Lago
14:57
Speaker 3: and killing President Trump on the golf course. You know
15:02
Speaker 3: the phrase for the media that's been used more than
15:04
Speaker 3: once is useful idiots, and I think sometimes headline writers
15:09
Speaker 3: decide they haven't given us enough material. They need to
15:12
Speaker 3: be even more ridiculous, cheering for our enemies.
15:15
Speaker 2: As Operation Epic Fury intensifies, the world braces for what
15:20
Speaker 2: comes next, and people of faith pray for freedom and
15:24
Speaker 2: for God's people to be protected in.
15:26
Speaker 1: The Holy Land.
15:27
Speaker 2: Red alert sirens fill the air, sirens that give you
15:31
Speaker 2: fifteen seconds to reach the nearest bomb shelter. The situation
15:36
Speaker 2: is serious and the threat is real. In times like this,
15:40
Speaker 2: freedom and faith aren't just abstract ideas. They are what
15:44
Speaker 2: we depend on. And the International Fellowship of Christians and
15:48
Speaker 2: Jews is on the ground preparing large scale distributions of
15:52
Speaker 2: life saving food, first aid, and emergency essentials for security personnel,
15:58
Speaker 2: while helping ensure hospital emergency rooms and shelters are stocked
16:02
Speaker 2: with critical medical supplies. This ad is focused on Israel's
16:06
Speaker 2: most vulnerable, the sick, the elderly, children and families in
16:11
Speaker 2: great need. But the Fellowship needs your most generous gift
16:14
Speaker 2: today to make this work all possible. Now is your
16:18
Speaker 2: time to stand with Israel's most vulnerable to rush your gift.
16:22
Speaker 2: Call eight eight eight four eight eight IFCJ that's eight
16:26
Speaker 2: eight eight four eight eight IFCJ. Or give online at
16:31
Speaker 2: IFCJ dot org. That's IFCJ dot org. All right, I
16:37
Speaker 2: got a lot of questions Center, and everybody listening right now,
16:39
Speaker 2: I know, is gonna want to ask the same one
16:41
Speaker 2: that I'm gonna ask. You're on Air Force one, You
16:44
Speaker 2: were in DC, you flew with the President back to Texas.
16:48
Speaker 2: How much of the conversation on Air Force one was
16:51
Speaker 2: about this becoming a reality twenty four hours later? Less
16:55
Speaker 2: than twenty four hours later? You guys either had great
16:57
Speaker 2: poker faces when you were down there in front of
16:59
Speaker 2: that ship that we had sees in Venezuela and the
17:01
Speaker 2: oil and what you were doing on that trip, because
17:05
Speaker 2: clearly this was in the final moments of the planning
17:08
Speaker 2: stages or execution, I should say stages of this plan.
17:12
Speaker 1: What all was discussed on that that you can talk
17:13
Speaker 1: to us about.
17:15
Speaker 3: Yeah, So I was on Air Force one with President Trump,
17:17
Speaker 3: flying from Washington, d C. Down to Texas to Corpus Christy.
17:21
Speaker 3: I was joined by my colleague, Senator John Cornyn, and
17:24
Speaker 3: then there were multiple members of Congress that were there. Uh,
17:27
Speaker 3: And the President came and was talking with us and
17:31
Speaker 3: asking about Iran, and he went around the room and
17:33
Speaker 3: he said said, should we strike?
17:34
Speaker 1: What do you think?
17:35
Speaker 3: Should we strike? Should we hit them hard? Or should
17:38
Speaker 3: should we go and and and keep trying to cut
17:40
Speaker 3: a deal? What do you think? I will tell you
17:43
Speaker 3: every one of us that was on the plane, it
17:45
Speaker 3: was unanimous. We said hit them and hit them hard.
17:47
Speaker 3: That that that was the assessment. And look, Trump often
17:50
Speaker 3: when he's making decisions and talking to people who he trusts,
17:53
Speaker 3: he tries to get their their taken there. Yeah, yeah,
17:57
Speaker 3: he wants a barometer. Is this a good idea? What
18:00
Speaker 3: the risk? What should we do? So we talked quite
18:02
Speaker 3: a bit on Air Force one about it, and then
18:04
Speaker 3: when we landed, the President waved me over to join
18:09
Speaker 3: him in the Beast, and so he and I drove
18:13
Speaker 3: from the tarmac to the event. It was probably fifteen
18:15
Speaker 3: twenty minutes and it was just the two of us
18:17
Speaker 3: and the Beast. We were the only two, and we
18:19
Speaker 3: spent almost the entire time talking about Iran further. And
18:24
Speaker 3: so that was one on one and in that context
18:28
Speaker 3: I was leaning in even more vigorously than I had
18:30
Speaker 3: on Air Force One and was saying, listen, this is
18:34
Speaker 3: a moment in time which we've never had like this before.
18:38
Speaker 3: This regime is so weak, you know, dictatorships, and this
18:44
Speaker 3: is true. This is true of the Soviet Union, this
18:46
Speaker 3: is true of communist China, this is true of Hugo
18:49
Speaker 3: Chavez and Nicholas Maduro, this is true of the communist
18:51
Speaker 3: regime in Cuba, and this is true of Iran. Dictatorships
18:57
Speaker 3: depend upon convincing their citizens there invulnerable, that nothing can
19:01
Speaker 3: defeat them. That's part of how you keep ninety two
19:04
Speaker 3: million Iranians subjugated is the feeling that it's hopeless, we
19:09
Speaker 3: cannot overthrow these tyrants. And understand, the Iatola was a tyrant.
19:14
Speaker 3: He regularly murdered his own citizens, tortured his own citizens,
19:18
Speaker 3: stripped them of their freedom. I mean, the abuses were
19:21
Speaker 3: horrific directed to his own citizens, much less the murder
19:25
Speaker 3: and terror that he projected outward. And last year when
19:30
Speaker 3: the twelve Day war happened, you know, it's interesting some
19:33
Speaker 3: folks in politics behave like everything is is communications, everything
19:37
Speaker 3: is calms and messaging and spin. There are very real
19:41
Speaker 3: world effects when you lose a war. There was a
19:46
Speaker 3: war for twelve days, and Iran utterly and completely got
19:51
Speaker 3: its ass kicked. And if there's anything worse, if you're
19:54
Speaker 3: an Islamist dictator, if you're trying to envision a world,
19:58
Speaker 3: that is worse than losing a war, it's losing a
20:02
Speaker 3: war to Israel. It was Israel that completely and totally
20:07
Speaker 3: decimated them, that took out their air defenses, took out
20:09
Speaker 3: the leadership of the IRGC. And by the way, day
20:12
Speaker 3: after day the Iatola would appoint a new leader of
20:15
Speaker 3: the IRGC the next day that guy was dead, that
20:17
Speaker 3: he'd appoint a new one the next day that guy
20:19
Speaker 3: was dead. It demonstrated complete and total penetration by the
20:25
Speaker 3: Masad and by American intelligence of Iran, knowing where everybody
20:31
Speaker 3: was and that and obviously it culminated with President Trump
20:35
Speaker 3: launching the bombing run, taking out the underground nuclear facilities.
20:39
Speaker 3: That when that happened, you and I on this podcast said,
20:42
Speaker 3: in the wake of that, we predicted this regime is
20:46
Speaker 3: going to fall, and I said it, they are so weak.
20:49
Speaker 3: Now the Iranian people rose up, rose up in massive numbers,
20:53
Speaker 3: over a million Iranians in protests. And by the way,
20:57
Speaker 3: the response of the Ayatola was to order his soul.
21:00
Speaker 3: There's just a fire machine guns at them, killing anywhere
21:03
Speaker 3: between ten thousand and forty thousand protesters. We don't have
21:07
Speaker 3: I haven't seen really firm estimates. I think it is
21:09
Speaker 3: at least ten thousand. It could be as high as
21:11
Speaker 3: forty thousand. But that shows the level of terarity when
21:14
Speaker 3: you say, just unload and fire into the crowd and
21:18
Speaker 3: kill as many as you can. That's what they were doing.
21:23
Speaker 3: President Trump's actions this weekend levels the playing field and
21:28
Speaker 3: is taken out by the way. It's also an illustration
21:31
Speaker 3: of exquisite intelligence. The early bombing strike that occurred that
21:38
Speaker 3: killed Iatola Kamini. The reporting we're getting, and this is
21:44
Speaker 3: open source. I don't have any classified information on this,
21:47
Speaker 3: but the public reporting is that there was a meeting
21:50
Speaker 3: of the Ayatola along with basically as National Security Council,
21:55
Speaker 3: as top military advisors. And that's the meeting that Israel
22:00
Speaker 3: druck and and and took him out. And so they
22:02
Speaker 3: knew exactly where where he was. They knew where his
22:04
Speaker 3: senior leaders were, that is, and so so when when
22:08
Speaker 3: I was riding in the beast with the President, I
22:10
Speaker 3: was urging him this is the moment, and he's like, well,
22:13
Speaker 3: what do you think of of the negotiations, And I said,
22:16
Speaker 3: mister President, they're just dragging it out. It's just a
22:19
Speaker 3: delay tactic. They think they can delay and and and
22:22
Speaker 3: that you'll let the moment pass and and listen is
22:27
Speaker 3: their risk. Of course, there's risk having.
22:30
Speaker 2: There's even more risk if you don't act right. I mean,
22:32
Speaker 2: that's how you look at this. I mean when people
22:34
Speaker 2: say I don't I don't like war, you know, I
22:35
Speaker 2: can't believe you're advocating this. I don't like war either,
22:38
Speaker 2: but I really don't like a war where Ran starts
22:40
Speaker 2: at and Iran has a nuclear weapon, and Iran kills
22:43
Speaker 2: countlessness and people, whether a dirty bomb or Israel or
22:46
Speaker 2: wherever they decided to do it in the world, or
22:48
Speaker 2: have one of their proxies. That was the biggest thing
22:50
Speaker 2: that I don't think people understood about Iran. Iran getting
22:53
Speaker 2: a nuclear weapon center is not just them having it.
22:56
Speaker 2: It's that they have these proxies. They could also give
22:58
Speaker 2: them to and dirty bombs could go. That's a major
23:01
Speaker 2: concern that a lot of people don't think understood. In
23:04
Speaker 2: the complexity of Iran, They're not the one that always
23:07
Speaker 2: has to shoot. They may give the supplies needed someone
23:09
Speaker 2: else to do it for them.
23:11
Speaker 3: Well, that's right, and that's one of the real risks
23:15
Speaker 3: of escalation in the coming days is those proxies Hamas
23:18
Speaker 3: and HEZBLA and the huthis engaging in acts of violence,
23:21
Speaker 3: engaging in acts of terrorism and targeting Americans. We have
23:24
Speaker 3: three American servicemen who have already been killed and listened
23:27
Speaker 3: military conflict. Tragically, casualties can be part of military conflict.
23:33
Speaker 3: We also have the shooting that occurred in Austin, Texas,
23:37
Speaker 3: and it is still early. Our reports are preliminary, but
23:44
Speaker 3: from the preliminary reports, it certainly appears that this was
23:48
Speaker 3: terrorism and terrorism directly related to what occurred. So here's
23:53
Speaker 3: what we know right now. The shooting took place at
23:57
Speaker 3: one fifty nine am on March first, at Buford's Backyard
24:01
Speaker 3: Beer Garden, which is on West sixth Street in downtown Austin.
24:06
Speaker 3: And you and I have both been in an Austin
24:09
Speaker 3: bar at two in the morning on a Saturday night
24:12
Speaker 3: many many times. The Austin sixth Street scene is a
24:17
Speaker 3: lively scene. Or here's what we know so far. Three
24:22
Speaker 3: individuals are dead, one of whom is the shooter. Fourteen
24:26
Speaker 3: people were injured and transported to local hospitals. Three of
24:31
Speaker 3: the injured as of right now, remain in critical condition.
24:35
Speaker 3: Two weapons were recovered from the scene, a pistol and
24:38
Speaker 3: a rifle, and evidence from it from the sub suv
24:44
Speaker 3: and nearby cameras is still being processed. Law enforcements and
24:50
Speaker 3: FBI agents at the scene has gone to the residence
24:55
Speaker 3: and two different residences of the individual that was the shooter. Now,
25:00
Speaker 3: now what's been publicly reported is the shooter is a
25:04
Speaker 3: man name in Diaga Diagny, who is a fifty three
25:10
Speaker 3: year old naturalized US citizen born in Senegal and residing
25:17
Speaker 3: in Flugerville, which is a town just north of Austin.
25:20
Speaker 3: He came to the United States during the Obama presidency.
25:25
Speaker 3: Reports indicated that the shooter was armed and he was
25:30
Speaker 3: wearing a sweater that's with the phrase Property of Allah
25:34
Speaker 3: across the front of the sweater. He was also reportedly
25:38
Speaker 3: wearing an undershirt with an Iranian flag on it underneath
25:42
Speaker 3: that shirt and a Quran was found in the car. Now,
25:47
Speaker 3: I spoke this afternoon with the Mayor of Austin. I
25:50
Speaker 3: spoke this afternoon with Cash Betel, the director of the
25:54
Speaker 3: FBI as of Sunday afternoon, they do not have clear
26:00
Speaker 3: evidence of motive from so they're right now carrying out
26:03
Speaker 3: the search warrants on his residence. They're examining his social media,
26:07
Speaker 3: they're examining phone calls. That that they're putting together the evidence.
26:11
Speaker 3: That putting together the evidence to to determine what went on,
26:15
Speaker 3: if he acted alone, what the precise motivation was. That
26:19
Speaker 3: being said, Uh, given the sweatshirt and shirt he was wearing,
26:23
Speaker 3: and and given given his origin from Senegal, I think
26:26
Speaker 3: it is very likely this is terrorism. That that that
26:29
Speaker 3: that it is not a coincidence. I believe that he's
26:33
Speaker 3: wearing an Iranian flag while he is opening fire. That
26:37
Speaker 3: evidence has not conclusively been proven yet, but I expect
26:40
Speaker 3: that it will be. Interestingly, he did not enter the bar.
26:44
Speaker 1: Uh.
26:45
Speaker 3: He opened fire from outside, from from the street and sidewalk,
26:48
Speaker 3: opened fire and shot into the bar uh and and
26:52
Speaker 3: three Austin police officers took him out, killed him, shot
26:56
Speaker 3: him on the street.
26:57
Speaker 1: Uh.
26:58
Speaker 3: The mayor told me that the Austin police was there
27:01
Speaker 3: within a minute. So it was very fast, very fast
27:04
Speaker 3: response and took him.
27:06
Speaker 1: Out, Thank goodness, saved a lot of lives, you.
27:09
Speaker 3: Know, and I'm told the video there's videos that will
27:11
Speaker 3: be released, show chaos, show people running, and in fact,
27:15
Speaker 3: some of the people are running actually towards the shooter
27:18
Speaker 3: because they heard gunshots but did not know where they
27:22
Speaker 3: were coming from, and so they were running, but accidentally
27:25
Speaker 3: running the wrong way. I think it is very clear
27:29
Speaker 3: if law enforcement had not acted quickly, many more people
27:33
Speaker 3: would have been killed and injured.
27:35
Speaker 1: But this.
27:37
Speaker 3: Look from his clothing, it certainly appears this is terrorism.
27:41
Speaker 3: And tragically, this may not be the last incident of
27:45
Speaker 3: terrorism that occurs. That's one of the real dangers of escalation,
27:49
Speaker 3: either from hamas Hezbelo the Who East or from sympathizers
27:53
Speaker 3: in the United States.
27:55
Speaker 2: Well, let's go back to the Middle East for a moment.
27:57
Speaker 2: One of the things that we talk about, you know,
28:00
Speaker 2: the Iotolin and his team they're there. They're homicidal and
28:03
Speaker 2: and you could also even say suicidal.
28:05
Speaker 3: Uh.
28:05
Speaker 2: And their obsession with killing you know, innocent people in
28:09
Speaker 2: their own country, uh, going after Americans, going after Israelis
28:13
Speaker 2: as well. But one of the things that I was
28:15
Speaker 2: even a little bit shocked by was how quickly they
28:17
Speaker 2: decided to bring in every other country on the side
28:20
Speaker 2: of Israel in the US by attacking these other Middle
28:23
Speaker 2: Eastern nations around them that weren't involved, right, they were,
28:26
Speaker 2: they were outside. I were you as shocked as I
28:29
Speaker 2: was that they just decided, all right, like whoever's still
28:31
Speaker 2: left standing, let's just go after Bahrain, Let's go after Guitar,
28:34
Speaker 2: let's go after I mean, the list is pretty long.
28:36
Speaker 2: Now if countries they've attacked, and now they brought them
28:38
Speaker 2: into the fold. I I mean that that to me
28:41
Speaker 2: just seems like a suicidal mission on their port.
28:45
Speaker 3: Yeah, I will admit I was surprised by that. There's
28:48
Speaker 3: been a lot of public reporting that suggested that other
28:51
Speaker 3: Middle Eastern nations were discouraging President Trump uh from going
28:56
Speaker 3: after Iran. I'm a little bit skeptical of that. I
29:00
Speaker 3: have not recently had those conversations with other Middle Eastern nations,
29:04
Speaker 3: but I've had many conversations with the Saudis, Yue Bahrain,
29:09
Speaker 3: and and they have always been very focused on number one,
29:14
Speaker 3: doing everything necessary to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.
29:17
Speaker 3: The Saudis have said publicly if Iran ever got a
29:20
Speaker 3: nuclear weapon, that they would do everything possible to get
29:23
Speaker 3: a nuke themselves. To defend themselves from Iran. Uh And
29:26
Speaker 3: so I don't know if it's true or not that
29:30
Speaker 3: in the recent weeks Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern
29:34
Speaker 3: countries were urging Trump not to attack. But but I
29:37
Speaker 3: do know that Iran's behavior so they fire, fired missiles
29:41
Speaker 3: and sent drones and had attacks at almost every single
29:45
Speaker 3: Arab country all throughout the Middle East. So they've attacked
29:47
Speaker 3: Saudi Arabia, they've attacked UAE, they've attacked Kuwait, they've attacked Cutter,
29:51
Speaker 3: they've attacked Bahrain, they've attacked Jordan. And we've seen statements
29:56
Speaker 3: from many of those other Middle Eastern countries, mostly Arab countries,
30:03
Speaker 3: expressing condemning, condemning Iran's response. And and you know, in
30:10
Speaker 3: my view that they're just indiscriminately firing, firing abroad. And
30:17
Speaker 3: I think their reasoning was that if the United States
30:21
Speaker 3: and or Israel hit them, that they wanted to make
30:23
Speaker 3: it as painful as possible for the entirety of the region.
30:27
Speaker 3: What they have ensured is is that there's basically nobody
30:31
Speaker 3: standing up and siding with the Iranians. They're demonstrating essentially
30:36
Speaker 3: they're willing to kill anybody and everybody. I got to say,
30:40
Speaker 3: that's also a really powerful illustration if that's what they
30:43
Speaker 3: do now.
30:44
Speaker 1: Yeah, they have done with a nuclear weapon.
30:47
Speaker 3: Yeah, can you imagine how much worse if they had
30:49
Speaker 3: a nuclear weapon. And during the whole go back to
30:52
Speaker 3: Obama and the debates on Obama's terrible Iran nuclear deal,
30:56
Speaker 3: I always said, most of the debate rotated around, well,
31:02
Speaker 3: if they had a nuclear weapon, it would change the
31:03
Speaker 3: balance of power, it would make them more aggressive, they
31:06
Speaker 3: would fund more terrorism. And I always said, look, that's
31:09
Speaker 3: the best case scenario. The best case scenario is a
31:12
Speaker 3: horrible situation. The worst case is that they would actually
31:16
Speaker 3: use the nuclear weapon. And everyone operates under an assumption
31:19
Speaker 3: while having a nuclear weapon doesn't mean you use it.
31:23
Speaker 3: Listen when the Iotola chance death to Israel and death
31:28
Speaker 3: to America. I believe him when he calls Israel the
31:32
Speaker 3: little Satan and America the great Satan. I believe him.
31:36
Speaker 3: And I think the odds are unacceptably high. I don't
31:38
Speaker 3: know what they were, but they were unacceptably high that
31:41
Speaker 3: the Iotola, if he had a nuclear weapon, would detonate it,
31:45
Speaker 3: maybe in Tel Aviv, or maybe in New York or
31:48
Speaker 3: Los Angeles, and I don't want to wake up and
31:52
Speaker 3: discover uh oh, the predictions were wrong because we have
31:57
Speaker 3: a mushroom cloud and hundreds of thousands, even millions of
32:00
Speaker 3: Americans being killed the reason and by the way, I've
32:04
Speaker 3: got to say a lot of the the news reporting
32:08
Speaker 3: is challenging. Why would Trump do this attack? You heard
32:11
Speaker 3: Margaret Brennan there say say Trump campaigned on on not
32:16
Speaker 3: getting in wars. I did after Face the Nation. I
32:18
Speaker 3: also did State of the Union with Dana Bash, and
32:21
Speaker 3: Dana Bash asked a question of me. She said, you know,
32:24
Speaker 3: President Trump campaigned on no more wars. And I in
32:30
Speaker 3: my response, I said, well, Danna, you actually misquoted what
32:34
Speaker 3: the president said. What the President said was no more
32:37
Speaker 3: forever wars.
32:38
Speaker 2: Yeah, I can in Afghanistan totally, and troops on the ground.
32:42
Speaker 2: This completely different doctrine, you can tell.
32:45
Speaker 3: Yeah, And I said, listen, we're not going to see
32:48
Speaker 3: troops on the ground in Iran. We're not going to
32:50
Speaker 3: see hundreds of thousands of Americans there for an extended
32:52
Speaker 3: period of time. I don't think we'll see that at all.
32:55
Speaker 3: That is very different. And I said, look, they're isolationists
32:59
Speaker 3: who want want America to withdraw from the world. Donald
33:03
Speaker 3: Trump has never been an isolationist, and he is acting
33:08
Speaker 3: to protect America. This is America first. The reason we
33:12
Speaker 3: are striking Iran right now is because the odds are
33:16
Speaker 3: unacceptably high. Iran has already killed nearly a thousand Americans
33:20
Speaker 3: and they have every desire to kill more. As I
33:22
Speaker 3: told the President driving in the beast, I said, if
33:25
Speaker 3: the Iyatola could kill the two of us right.
33:27
Speaker 1: Now, he would.
33:29
Speaker 3: The only thing that is preventing him is that he's
33:31
Speaker 3: not able to because he is trying. And so if
33:35
Speaker 3: we have an opportunity to take out this regime, and look,
33:39
Speaker 3: my hope is we see a new government in Iran
33:43
Speaker 3: that wants to be friends with America. That would make
33:46
Speaker 3: this country massively safer. Removing these psycho paths from power
33:53
Speaker 3: and replacing them with anything resembling a normal government would
33:58
Speaker 3: massively improve the safety of every American.
34:01

35:37
Speaker 1: Two questions to wrap things up.
35:39
Speaker 2: Number one, I thought it was really interesting to see
35:41
Speaker 2: the comparing contrasts of the women standing up for themselves
35:45
Speaker 2: in Iran on the streets, risking their lives, while women
35:48
Speaker 2: in America were actually standing up angry at America for
35:51
Speaker 2: going into Ran. We saw that in New York City,
35:53
Speaker 2: for example. We saw it in some other college campuses.
35:57
Speaker 2: The disconnect from reality from some of these leftists is amazing.
36:00
Speaker 2: I want to get your take on that real quick.
36:02
Speaker 2: And then also I want to talk about the possible
36:04
Speaker 2: closing strait of our moves and what that means in
36:06
Speaker 2: what America's role could be in that as well.
36:08
Speaker 3: Yeah, so today, Comrade Mandami put out a statement that
36:15
Speaker 3: I want to read to you. Today's military strikes on Iran,
36:19
Speaker 3: carried out by the United States and Israel, mark a
36:22
Speaker 3: catastrophic escalation of an illegal war of aggression, bombing cities,
36:26
Speaker 3: killing civilians, opening a new theater of war. Americans do
36:30
Speaker 3: not want this. They do not want another war in
36:33
Speaker 3: pursuit of regime change. They want relief from the affordability crisis.
36:37
Speaker 3: They want peace. I am focused on making sure every
36:40
Speaker 3: New Yorker is safe. I've been in contact with our
36:43
Speaker 3: Police Commissioner and emergency management officials. We are taking proactive steps,
36:48
Speaker 3: including increasing coordination across agencies and enhancing patrols of sensitive
36:53
Speaker 3: locations out of an abundance of conscience caution. Additionally, I
36:57
Speaker 3: want to speak directly to Iranian New York. You are
37:00
Speaker 3: part of the fabric of this city. You are our
37:02
Speaker 3: neighbor's small business owner, students, artist, workers, and community leaders.
37:06
Speaker 3: You will be safe here. Look, this is Comrade Mondami
37:11
Speaker 3: cheering for the Ayatola. Yeah, because they are both Jahadists,
37:16
Speaker 3: and they both want to see the great Satan of America.
37:21
Speaker 3: They want to see this country fundamentally change and to
37:25
Speaker 3: become an Islamic caliphate. That was the Iatola's objective. That
37:32
Speaker 3: what that, sadly, I believe is Comrade Mandami's objective. And
37:36
Speaker 3: I want to contrast that with the reaction of protesters
37:40
Speaker 3: Iranians like his line to Iranians, you will be safe here.
37:43
Speaker 3: The the I know a great many Iranians. Every every
37:47
Speaker 3: Iranian I know hates the regime is cheering and I
37:51
Speaker 3: want you to watch in particular, this scene that played
37:54
Speaker 3: out on the ground in Austin, Texas, and and and
37:58
Speaker 3: a CBS news reporter who was told, don't cover the
38:01
Speaker 3: protests celebrating the Iatola being killed. Cover that up, and
38:07
Speaker 3: this brave reporter didn't do that. Give a listen, give
38:09
Speaker 3: a watch made on one of the books on I am.
38:30
Speaker 1: It's incredible there.
38:32
Speaker 2: And again for people that can't see the video, you
38:34
Speaker 2: have this Austin CBS reporter. He was handed the phone
38:38
Speaker 2: from his cameraman and he reads it and he's like,
38:40
Speaker 2: what does that mean? And the cameraman responds, they don't
38:44
Speaker 2: want us to focus on this, and this brave local
38:47
Speaker 2: reporter said, all right, well I am. And now it's
38:50
Speaker 2: out there on the Internet of him having this moment.
38:53
Speaker 2: It's sad that you've got to be this brave in
38:54
Speaker 2: America a local affiliate to report the news, which was
38:58
Speaker 2: the news that you had people's celebrating and waving American
39:02
Speaker 2: flags and Iranian flags and standing out for the people
39:06
Speaker 2: in the innocent people in Iran. And they're like, no, no, no,
39:08
Speaker 2: we don't want you to focus on that.
39:09
Speaker 1: At CBS.
39:10
Speaker 3: Yeah, look, this is happening all all over the country,
39:13
Speaker 3: all over America. It's happening on the ground, on the
39:15
Speaker 3: streets of Iran, It's happening around the world. You know.
39:18
Speaker 3: Kamala Harris today put out a statement quote, Donald Trump
39:22
Speaker 3: is dragging the United States into a war the American
39:25
Speaker 3: people do not want. Let me be clear, I am
39:28
Speaker 3: opposed to a regime change war in Iran, and our
39:30
Speaker 3: troops are being put in harm's way for the sake
39:33
Speaker 3: of Trump's war of choice. Now, I will tell you
39:35
Speaker 3: I responded to her on X and I said, your
39:39
Speaker 3: administration gave over one hundred billion dollars to the Ayatola
39:45
Speaker 3: who kept killing Americans. We know you're sad that your
39:51
Speaker 3: friend isn't with us anymore. Look, the Democrat Party was
39:57
Speaker 3: all in in support of the Ayatola. Now some some
40:00
Speaker 3: times they pretended they weren't. But when Joe Biden and
40:02
Speaker 3: Kamala Harris sent over one hundred billion dollars flowed that
40:05
Speaker 3: money into the Ayatola, they funded his terror.
40:09
Speaker 1: Uh.
40:09
Speaker 3: The the Obama Iran nuclear deal was designed to inevitably
40:14
Speaker 3: lead to a nuclear Iran to the Ayatola with nuclear weapons.
40:18
Speaker 3: And and so this is I'll tell you and and
40:21
Speaker 3: and folks that that deal with with conflict in the
40:23
Speaker 3: Middle East, and that that deal with foreign policy. UH
40:27
Speaker 3: frequently refer to Iran as quote the head of the snake.
40:31
Speaker 3: Why do they call it the head of the snake
40:33
Speaker 3: because it's it is what is leading and directing and
40:36
Speaker 3: funding the vast majority of the terrorism you see. Without Iran,
40:42
Speaker 3: Hamas has no resources. Without Iran, Hesbeal and the Huthis
40:45
Speaker 3: have no resources. And so what what President Trump is
40:49
Speaker 3: doing here is is being a strong commander in chief
40:52
Speaker 3: and making Americans safer.
40:55
Speaker 2: Final question on this shra of the horror moves and
40:57
Speaker 2: the reality of what's happening there, give us your your
40:59
Speaker 2: thoughts and and perspective on that and what you think
41:02
Speaker 2: can happen moving forward.
41:03
Speaker 3: So we don't know that there is reporting that the
41:07
Speaker 3: Iranians may have mine the Straits of Hormuse. So we
41:10
Speaker 3: don't have an answer to that right now. Right now,
41:12
Speaker 3: there's not shipping. There are not ships going through the
41:15
Speaker 3: Straits of Hormus until it is determined whether or not
41:18
Speaker 3: they have mined it.
41:19
Speaker 1: To be clear, that's significant.
41:21
Speaker 2: People that just don't understand how important it is a
41:23
Speaker 2: significant amount of oil world which probably goes through there.
41:27
Speaker 3: Yeah, so right now that is shut down. By the way,
41:29
Speaker 3: right now, civilian air traffic is shut down throughout the
41:33
Speaker 3: Middle East. You can't get on an airline and fly
41:37
Speaker 3: into and out of most of the cities in the
41:39
Speaker 3: Middle East because you've got missiles flying everywhere, and so
41:41
Speaker 3: and so all of the countries have understandably shut their
41:44
Speaker 3: airspace down. And so I am confident that we will
41:50
Speaker 3: have mind sweepers go into the straits of Horm moves
41:52
Speaker 3: that may be happening now, I don't know, and examine
41:55
Speaker 3: and determine if their mind's there. But at least right
41:57
Speaker 3: now you're not seeing ships go through there because these
42:00
Speaker 3: guys are just crazy enough to have put minds there,
42:03
Speaker 3: and so no one wants to risk it until it's
42:05
Speaker 3: determined one way or another whether it's safe.
42:09
Speaker 2: Yeah, it really is incredible. Well, we're going to keep
42:11
