  Speaker 1: How badly has he heard? Are they going to strip

  Speaker 1: him of the World Heavyweight Championship. The only thing we

  Speaker 1: knew coming into this show is that Adam Pierce would

  Speaker 1: be making an announcement as it relates to the title,

  Speaker 1: and he did, and that announcement was that Seth Rollins

  Speaker 1: is hereby stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship and tonight

  Speaker 1: there would be a battle royal because CM punk was

  Speaker 1: already crowned number one contender last week. You can't screw

  Speaker 1: him out of the shot that he earned. So he

  Speaker 1: needs an opponent. How do you decide on an opponent?

  Speaker 1: They decided that we're going to have a Battle Royal
• 1:21
  Speaker 1: and the winner of that Battle Royal would go on

  Speaker 1: to wrestle Punk for the title in Salt Lake City

  Speaker 1: November one on Saturday Night's main event. So we had

  Speaker 1: this Battle Royal here on this show. Two men who

  Speaker 1: were not in the Battle Royal, even though they were
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: supposed to be bron Breaker and Bronzon Reid.

  Speaker 1: decision midway through the show and he let Paul Hayman

  Speaker 1: know that his two men would not be in this

  Speaker 1: Battle Royal. And I must say, even though I am

  Speaker 1: a big proponent for strapping the rocket to bron Breaker

  Speaker 1: and using this as an opportunity to just launch him,

  Speaker 1: launch him into that top spot, if it were me,
• 2:08
  Speaker 1: I would put the championship on him. But as somebody
• 2:11
  Speaker 1: who oftentimes will talk about this doesn't make sense. That

  Speaker 1: doesn't make sense right, And I try as hard as
• 2:18
  Speaker 1: I can to my own detriment a lot of the
• 2:21
  Speaker 1: time to apply logic in an illogical world. I can
• 2:26
  Speaker 1: appreciate the fact that they had Adam Pierce say, look,

  Speaker 1: these men are responsible from my world champion being on
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: the shelf for the next several months. These men are
• 2:37
  Speaker 1: responsible for the fact that we no longer have a
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: world heavyweight champion. We had to vacate the championship because

  Speaker 1: of these two men. And so instead of rewarding them,

  Speaker 1: what did he do? He bounced them out of the
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: Battle Royal. That makes sense. It's a sensible decision that

  Speaker 1: he made. I can't be mad at that. You can't

  Speaker 1: reward bad behavior. All that being said, they went with
• 3:05
  Speaker 1: the most boring choice to win the Battle Royal. Jay

  Speaker 1: Usso is going to Saturday Night's main event to wrestle

  Speaker 1: cm Punk, which means c I'm punk, or jay Usso
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: is going to leave Salt Lake City maybe as the

  Speaker 1: next world heavyweight champion.

  Speaker 2: They went with jay Usso.

  Speaker 1: And the Battle Royal. By the way, I actually enjoyed

  Speaker 1: as Battle Royals go. I enjoyed it until we got

  Speaker 1: to that finish. Now, I will say the storytelling was good.

  Speaker 1: They've been telling this story now for weeks. Jimmy and

  Speaker 1: Jay not quite on the same page. Jimmy being very
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: upset with the way that Jay has been behaving. He is,
• 3:39
  Speaker 1: you know, really looking towards Roman Reigns a little too
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: much in his view, and trying to emulate him a
• 3:46
  Speaker 1: little too much. Jimmy doesn't like that very much. And
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: so as they play this story out, what they did
• 3:54
  Speaker 1: tonight was logical, you know, and they set things up
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: throughout the show. We had a backstage second at one

  Speaker 1: point with the two of them, and Jimmy said, look,

  Speaker 1: I'm going to be in the Battle Royal. You're going
• 4:04
  Speaker 1: to be in the Battle Royal. You know, I'm going
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: after everybody, he said. He kind of put the nail
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: in his own coffin when he made that comment, because

  Speaker 1: in the end, it was Jay usso, despite the fact
• 4:14
  Speaker 1: that his brother saved him multiple times in his Battle Royal,

  Speaker 1: who helped eliminate his brother and showed absolutely no regret

  Speaker 1: for what he did right, and Jimmy was very upset
• 4:25
  Speaker 1: about this when the match was over, even though it's
• 4:27
  Speaker 1: every man for himself and it was Jimmy Usso himself

  Speaker 1: earlier in the show who told his brother, I'm coming

  Speaker 1: after everybody, including you. So you know what, Big Jim

  Speaker 1: too bad. He's got nothing to complain about here, but

  Speaker 1: he was being a sour puss at the end of
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: the show and he wasn't very happy that his brother,

  Speaker 1: you know, did what he did. So the storytelling is

  Speaker 1: on point. I don't have an issue with that, but man,

  Speaker 1: I mean, all the options they could have gone with,

  Speaker 1: to me, they went with the least excited and least

  Speaker 1: interesting of them all. I don't really have any interest

  Speaker 1: in seeing CM Punk and Andre j Usso for the

  Speaker 1: World Heavyweight Championship or not, or in just a straight
• 5:09
  Speaker 1: up singles match, not for any championship at all, because
• 5:13
  Speaker 1: of all the choices they had to go with.
• 5:15
  Speaker 2: The USOS is just very deflating.

  Speaker 1: And the thing that I look at when I see
• 5:19
  Speaker 1: who was in this battle Royal, the name that stands
• 5:21
  Speaker 1: out to me. I'm not even gonna say La Knight.

  Speaker 1: A lot of La Knight fans who are going to
• 5:26
  Speaker 1: be very upset. Uh La Night jobbed out again. I
• 5:29
  Speaker 1: don't know why you torture yourself so much. He ain't
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: gonna be the guy. They just don't see him that way.

  Speaker 1: So this is going to continue to happen. I wasn't

  Speaker 1: surprised that he wasn't in there at the end, but

  Speaker 1: I saw that Aj Styles was in that Battle Royal,

  Speaker 1: and I didn't realistically think it was going to be
• 5:47
  Speaker 1: aj because he just won the tag team titles tonight,
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: and so is he really going.

  Speaker 2: To win the Battle Royal as well? Probably not, but you.

  Speaker 1: Had Aj Styles in there, and it's been an Aj
• 5:57
  Speaker 1: Styles love fest for the last few weeks. Coming out

  Speaker 1: of that match at Crown Jewel with John sena the

  Speaker 1: great fucking match of the two of them had in
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: aj and making it very clear that his career will

  Speaker 1: also come to an end very soon in twenty twenty six.

  Speaker 1: He may not even last the full year. We don't

  Speaker 1: know when he's done next year. His contract may be

  Speaker 1: done in February, although I'm sure he will not be

  Speaker 1: done in February. He may be done at WrestleMania. We

  Speaker 1: don't know. But he was just in Japan, his last

  Speaker 1: Japanese tour. They had Aj Styles the roster did on

  Speaker 1: their shoulders parading him around, and it was you know,
• 6:36
  Speaker 1: It was great to see them pay that level of
• 6:38
  Speaker 1: respect to him, especially given the success that he had
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: in Japan. But you're gonna see more of this as

  Speaker 1: the months go on. And one of the matches that

  Speaker 1: I know a lot of people, because people have asked
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: me about it in like the mailbag and tweets, I
• 6:49
  Speaker 1: hear about, Wow, they're ever gonna do CM Punk against aj.
• 6:52
  Speaker 2: Styles one on one? Are we ever gonna get it?
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: And it kind of feels like it's now or never,
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: because I don't know if that's in the cards for
• 7:00
  Speaker 1: next year. You would think at some point next year,

  Speaker 1: if at least they would do the match. It doesn't

  Speaker 1: look like they're going to have too many more opportunities

  Speaker 1: to get it done. If they're going to do it,

  Speaker 1: And you had an opportunity here to put together not

  Speaker 1: just the match for the World Heavyweight Championship in two weeks,

  Speaker 1: but a match that a lot of people would look

  Speaker 1: at as a dream match. I even throwing that word around,

  Speaker 1: but that's how some people would describe it, right. It's

  Speaker 1: a match that they really want to see, and maybe

  Speaker 1: they thought at one point it was never gonna happen,

  Speaker 1: and now you have a chance of making it happen,

  Speaker 1: and you know that AJ's career is winding down, right,

  Speaker 1: It's a match we haven't seen before in WWE two

  Speaker 1: fan favor It's just like we're gonna get now at

  Speaker 1: CM Punk and Jay Uso. So the dynamic is really

  Speaker 1: no different. Two babyfaces in there, Punk and AJ for
• 7:49
  Speaker 1: the World Heavyweight Championship. It rights itself, right, If you're

  Speaker 1: not gonna have bron Breaker in there, that's the match
• 7:56
  Speaker 1: that they should have done, and they didn't do it.

  Speaker 1: I really think that was a missed opportunity to do

  Speaker 1: something special and something a little bit different, you know,

  Speaker 1: instead of doing all right, Punk and Usos or even

  Speaker 1: Punk in La Night. You know, we've seen so many

  Speaker 1: variations of this, you know, in the last few months.

  Speaker 1: It's just exhausting. But I am not fully convinced that

  Speaker 1: we are going to get a new World heavyweight champion

  Speaker 1: crowned anyway at Saturday Night's main event, because you have

  Speaker 1: to expect a bron Breaker and Bronson reader not gonna

  Speaker 1: let sleeping dogs lie. They're not gonna let this match

  Speaker 1: go on without there being some sort of interference or

  Speaker 1: some something is going to happen.

  Speaker 2: Now, maybe it happens next week because we have.

  Speaker 1: One more raw, I believe, one more before Saturday Night's

  Speaker 1: punk on commentary tonight joking about that, saying I hate

  Speaker 1: triple threat matches, hate them. Who knows, maybe they turned

  Speaker 1: it into a triple threat. Maybe bron Breaker ends up

  Speaker 1: getting added anyway, even though it would go against everything

  Speaker 1: that Adam Pierce talked about tonight when he did not

  Speaker 1: put them in the Battle Royal to begin with. But

  Speaker 1: I look ahead and I say, if that doesn't happen,

  Speaker 1: they show up at Saturday Night's main event, they interfere,

  Speaker 1: nobody wins. Now, I know that would make for a

  Speaker 1: pretty disappointing finish to the show. But I look ahead

  Speaker 1: to Survivor series, you know, which is coming up at

  Speaker 1: the end of next month, and they're doing these wargames matches.

  Speaker 1: So that kind of I don't say makes it impossible,

  Speaker 1: but it kind of makes it impossible. If they didn't

  Speaker 1: have wargames advertised, this might be a little bit more realistic.

  Speaker 1: But it's not lost on me that it's almost twenty

  Speaker 1: years since the Deadly Game Tournament that we had going

  Speaker 1: into the Survivor Series, another period of time where the

  Speaker 1: WWE Championship in that case was vacant, the title was

  Speaker 1: title was actually vacant for a couple of months, and

  Speaker 1: they put together this big sixteen men was it sixteen

  Speaker 1: or thirty two? There were so many people involved, and

  Speaker 1: they did the whole fucking thing in one night. You

  Speaker 1: can't do that today now with these five match pls,

  Speaker 1: you can't. But they did the Deadly Game Tournament, and

  Speaker 1: again it was mostly a bunch of two three minute matches,

  Speaker 1: but it's a memorable tournament and they crowned the new

  Speaker 1: world champion that night. And so here we are, almost

  Speaker 1: twenty years later going into the Survivor Series, and we

  Speaker 1: have a vacancy with the World Heavyweight Championship, and it's like, man,

  Speaker 1: you know, if you had the bronze go in there

  Speaker 1: in two weeks and Rex shop and we have no winner,

  Speaker 1: they could still do this again. It's maybe less likely

  Speaker 1: could build up a tournament, a real tournament, and have

  Speaker 1: the month of November and then ultimately crown a new
