- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Swahili with Fexingo. I'm Lucas, and Luna is here with me. We're glad you're joining us again. Luna: Hey everyone! I've been craving something sweet. Last time we learned how to order mandazi. Can we do that again? I want to practice. Lucas: Absolutely. Mandazi are delicious. But let's add a little twist. Remember how to say 'I want mandazi'? Luna: Nataka mandazi. Lucas: Perfect. Now try saying 'Two mandazi, please.' In Swahili, 'two' is mbili. So: Mandazi mawili, tafadhali. Luna: Mandazi mawili, tafadhali. Lucas: Good. And if you want to ask 'What is the price of mandazi?' — Bei gani ya mandazi? Luna: Bei gani ya mandazi? Lucas: Yes. And the seller might say: Mandazi ni shilingi mia moja kila moja. That means 'Mandazi are one hundred shillings each.' So if you buy two, it's two hundred. Luna: Mandazi ni shilingi mia moja kila moja. So two would be mia mbili? That's easy math. Lucas: Exactly. And then you say Asante sana — thank you very much. Luna: Asante sana. I love that this show helps me practice real situations. And I appreciate that there are no ads interrupting.
