- 2:14Speaker 2: At four All Nerds Today.
- 2:16Speaker 3: We are here to discuss season three of House of Dragons,
- 2:20Speaker 3: Episode three titled Rainiera Triumphant, and it's.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Funny that that was the title of the episode. It's
- 2:30Speaker 4: very ironic in many different ways.
- 2:33Speaker 3: I took it more as Venera's terrible, horrible, no good,
- 2:36Speaker 3: very bad day, amongst other things. Before we get into
- 2:40Speaker 3: the details of everything. What y'all think overall of this.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Episode, It's kind of like whenever Bush put that banner
- 2:47Speaker 4: on the ship, that was like mission accomplished, Like Ray
- 2:50Speaker 4: near triumphant? Is Bush in the banner that mission accomplished,
- 2:55Speaker 4: like no child left behind? Type shit, The mission accomplished
- 3:00Speaker 4: for all all the intents and purposes of like creating
- 3:04Speaker 4: a narrative and like stirring that up. All the things
- 3:07Speaker 4: that we see in this episode kind of show us,
- 3:10Speaker 4: like exactly why it's kind of futile to believe that
- 3:14Speaker 4: just taking the throne is going to be enough to
- 3:18Speaker 4: do anything that's long lasting. That's part of the Targaran legacy.
- 3:23Speaker 4: There's more to it, and we've always known that, but
- 3:26Speaker 4: we're seeing it a lot in this episode.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Absolutely, man, what you thought?
- 3:30Speaker 5: It wasn't my favorite episode of the first three. No,
- 3:34Speaker 5: definitely not so far above the first We're on episode three,
- 3:37Speaker 5: but it was a very good episode. I just think
- 3:41Speaker 5: that these first three have been some of the best
- 3:44Speaker 5: Game of Thrones since Duncan Egg. You know, you can
- 3:46Speaker 5: get the shirt now for all nerds Dot com this
- 3:49Speaker 5: has been the best Game of Thrones like this has
- 3:51Speaker 5: really had me to the level of Game of Thrones
- 3:54Speaker 5: when it first dropped, when it's like, yo, I can't
- 3:56Speaker 5: wait for Sunday Night. So this wasn't up to those,
- 4:01Speaker 5: but it's still excellent. I think you know, it's not
- 4:04Speaker 5: as action path, but there were several just incredible moments
- 4:09Speaker 5: just from the jump. I have to say, I just
- 4:10Speaker 5: want to give a big shout out to this. I'm
- 4:12Speaker 5: not sure the name of the director, but the opening
- 4:15Speaker 5: sequence when you are Damon and you have the other dude,
- 4:18Speaker 5: Ormond walking through his whole army, and you see the
- 4:22Speaker 5: whole army laid out him walking through it, and then
- 4:25Speaker 5: it's just a shot of Damon all by himself and
- 4:28Speaker 5: you're like, what's that about? And then you know the
- 4:31Speaker 5: reveal that it's just Damon and his three dragons, and
- 4:35Speaker 5: it's like, this whole army ain't ship to this homes.
- 4:38Speaker 5: Just that type of stuff is excellent, and then you
- 4:42Speaker 5: know we were discussing this before the show. This also
- 4:45Speaker 5: featured one of my favorite moments of all time, and
- 4:48Speaker 5: that's cordlessw Yeah.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Listen, I have a little bit of both going on here.
- 4:59Speaker 3: This was my favorite episode thus far. This was my
- 5:04Speaker 3: and and we got we got what one, two, three,
- 5:07Speaker 3: four five more to go? So so far this was
- 5:10Speaker 3: my favorite episode and of course some of the reasons
- 5:12Speaker 3: you stayed in Bend, particularly because it gave me kind
- 5:15Speaker 3: of the old school Game of Thrones vibe just in
- 5:17Speaker 3: terms of again, yes, we had the action, which was amazing,
- 5:22Speaker 3: the ballotbal it was fantastic. And it's interesting because you
- 5:25Speaker 3: guys said that was actually like a paragraph in the
- 5:27Speaker 3: book and they were able to like really stress that
- 5:30Speaker 3: out to something really meaningful, at least on camera. But
- 5:34Speaker 3: the reason why is as mentioned, like it just reminded
- 5:37Speaker 3: me of like the net Stark times, where like, now
- 5:39Speaker 3: we got to get down to business. Now you got
- 5:41Speaker 3: to get down to the nitty gritty, like, yes, there's
- 5:43Speaker 3: this full incredible story of dragons and fighting and things
- 5:48Speaker 3: of that, and now you got to actually govern.
- 5:51Speaker 5: Right.
- 5:51Speaker 3: It was very much like I was reminding of things,
- 5:54Speaker 3: like the things that were happening, the decisions were being made.
- 5:56Speaker 3: It was like you were trying to make King's Land
- 5:58Speaker 3: and mom Donnahstan Like it was very interesting just in
- 6:01Speaker 3: terms of the positionings and the political leanings and who
- 6:05Speaker 3: are you going to listen to and who are you
- 6:07Speaker 3: going to gather as people within your court, right, people
- 6:10Speaker 3: within your your table. I forgot what the actual formal
- 6:13Speaker 3: name of that is, but I just I just found
- 6:16Speaker 3: a small council, right, Like, I just found it super
- 6:19Speaker 3: interesting that, you know, we brought that back, and we
- 6:21Speaker 3: also brought back the idea of like the individual, right
- 6:25Speaker 3: like at the end of the day, like, yes, you're
- 6:28Speaker 3: gonna be Queen oran Era, but like you gotta be queen?
- 6:31Speaker 3: What does that entail? What does that mean? What does
- 6:33Speaker 3: that mean for you? Like you have your own personal
- 6:35Speaker 3: things you're going through. She just lost another son. She
- 6:39Speaker 3: just lost in many different types of ways. And she
- 6:42Speaker 3: lost not even lost, but she she was felt and
- 6:45Speaker 3: was betrayed in many different ways.
- 6:46Speaker 4: And now you.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Gotta rebuild while people are demanding everything of you, and
- 6:52Speaker 3: while especially come on ladies on your period, bro, like damn,
- 6:56Speaker 3: give me a second, bro, give me a second the breeze.
- 7:00Speaker 3: So but but it was very like intense in that way.
- 7:03Speaker 3: So I really enjoyed this episode.
- 7:05Speaker 5: I've got a question for Porsche on that note, because
- 7:08Speaker 5: that was something I was thinking about, because it also
- 7:10Speaker 5: reminds me, like you said, of Ned, but it really
- 7:12Speaker 5: reminds me of when Danny took the throne. And that
- 7:16Speaker 5: that leads to my question, through any of the Targarians
- 7:19Speaker 5: throughout history, are they ever good at ruling? Because it's
- 7:22Speaker 5: like they're conquerors. I know that they're great.
- 7:24Speaker 4: Well, her father was good. The people liked her father.
- 7:27Speaker 5: Sure, Saras okay well, but and Visara's was the one
- 7:31Speaker 5: who didn't really do much conquering either.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Yeah, pretty much.
- 7:35Speaker 3: But and that that's also the big argument that Damon
- 7:39Speaker 3: has right about what we're conquerors.
- 7:42Speaker 4: You know, we're Valerian blood.
- 7:43Speaker 2: We're supposed to be, you know, spreading our seat across
- 7:45Speaker 2: the county.
- 7:47Speaker 3: But it's also like, but you want to be good
- 7:49Speaker 3: to the people, and and and it's also the all
- 7:51Speaker 3: of this also talks about the conflict that I brought
- 7:53Speaker 3: up a lot Ben your position about the fact that
- 7:57Speaker 3: you know, you have the small folk and these people
- 7:59Speaker 3: in this realm is trying to live and then you
- 8:01Speaker 3: have all these larger implications happening around them because you know,
- 8:05Speaker 3: whether the fight for land or the fight for for power,
- 8:08Speaker 3: or the fight for an empire, whatever it is, right
- 8:11Speaker 3: like depending on whoever's in charge, and it's all he's
- 8:15Speaker 3: boiling out at least in this era, boils down to
- 8:17Speaker 3: this one family.
- 8:19Speaker 5: So yeah, Porsche do other than Viceras, does anyone ever
- 8:23Speaker 5: any good and actual ruling.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Yeah. So I think it's interesting because they keep carving
- 8:29Speaker 1: back to the.
- 8:30Speaker 4: First egg on who was the conqueror, and he he
- 8:35Speaker 4: took advantage of what was already going well in Westerners
- 8:38Speaker 4: at the time, and they he also kind of like
- 8:42Speaker 4: like with this two sisters being like right beside him
- 8:45Speaker 4: on the journey of like we're going to make this work.
- 8:49Speaker 4: Then they like kind of strong armed all the high
- 8:52Speaker 4: houses to actually do what needs to be done for
- 8:55Speaker 4: to govern the kingdom.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Well, so it was it was better.
- 9:01Speaker 4: The fear factor may have led for stories to be
- 9:04Speaker 4: told about his regency as in a higher regard than
- 9:08Speaker 4: maybe he actually did, but that one is regarded well,
- 9:12Speaker 4: I have because because they recycle names so much.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I'm having I'm trying to like, remember, I'm.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Pretty sure it's either a couple of generations from now
- 9:21Speaker 4: or a couple generations before Visara's there is I'm pretty
- 9:26Speaker 4: sure it's afterwards. But the way the world is just
- 9:29Speaker 4: set up. I'm kind of like lost pleasing it right now,
- 9:32Speaker 4: there is two people that kind of rule the throne,
- 9:36Speaker 4: like their brother and sister also married.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Oh and they are.
- 9:42Speaker 4: She kind of like she's a little bit it's a
- 9:44Speaker 4: little bit less incestuous, but it's still kind of incestuous
- 9:46Speaker 4: because it's Garbarians and they are known for being like
- 9:51Speaker 4: the wisest rulers that the kingdom's ever had. Like they
- 9:55Speaker 4: she's really good, Like she gave Rides a dragon, So
- 9:57Speaker 4: that's what I'm pretty sure it's like before Visara's they
- 10:01Speaker 4: both write dragon writers. She's the one who ends up
- 10:04Speaker 4: governing the wall, becoming like more of a stronghold and
- 10:10Speaker 4: less of a just kind of throwaway kind of thing
- 10:13Speaker 4: because of the vision, because of them, like having the
- 10:17Speaker 4: prophecy about the ice and the like long winter and
- 10:20Speaker 4: all that. She takes it very seriously, so does like
- 10:22Speaker 4: her husband. So then like she they set up this
- 10:24Speaker 4: whole thing where like the Starks, and we do get
- 10:27Speaker 4: a lot of the story from the Starks, right like
- 10:29Speaker 4: the series, they hold Queen Alison and like this very
- 10:34Speaker 4: like high regard, and Jaharis is the king and those
- 10:38Speaker 4: are the two Targarians. I think they have the like
- 10:40Speaker 4: of all the popularity like ratings. They probably have the
- 10:43Speaker 4: highest in all histories of the Targarians. But there's a
- 10:47Speaker 4: couple of other rains that like they're not as bad.
- 10:49Speaker 4: And there's some people who would argue that Regar, who
- 10:53Speaker 4: was Danny's older brother who got killed by Rob king Rob,
- 10:58Speaker 4: if he had I'd ran a throne, people feel like
- 11:02Speaker 4: he would have done a decent job. Also, people feel
- 11:05Speaker 4: like he may not have because he was kind of
- 11:08Speaker 4: like a poet warrior kind of thing, and people were like, well,
- 11:13Speaker 4: he could have been good, or he could have been
- 11:17Speaker 4: tied up in court stuff, like he may not. He
- 11:20Speaker 4: may have just wanted to run away because he tended
- 11:21Speaker 4: to run away from so.
- 11:22Speaker 2: They thought he was a bitch got it not.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Necessarily not necessarily because like they like like his father
- 11:28Speaker 4: was the mad king and he was like playing like.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Well said poetry.
- 11:33Speaker 2: I thought like was he being like smart about it?
- 11:35Speaker 1: Was he?
- 11:36Speaker 4: Because it was like very shrewd. He was like he's
- 11:38Speaker 4: like I'm doing my ship. I know my dad is
- 11:40Speaker 4: over here, Like I can't do too much because he
- 11:42Speaker 4: might do something crazy if for me and.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Not let me just pay my parts.
- 11:47Speaker 4: God he's over here doing his shit, So I'm like,
- 11:49Speaker 4: he's not really necessarily seen badly but in some ways.
- 11:53Speaker 3: But people there, so people don't necessarily have like confidence
- 11:57Speaker 3: in him either kind of could go either way. Yeah, okay,
- 12:00Speaker 3: a right, So it seems like to answer your question, man,
- 12:01Speaker 3: is I don't know, maybe like it's like there's some
- 12:04Speaker 3: kind of the kind of like the dynasty isn't all
- 12:06Speaker 3: the way screwed, Like.
- 12:07Speaker 5: There are some shaking that magic eight balls that's not
- 12:10Speaker 5: really not really.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Any dynasty though, like any sports dynasty or whatever, like
- 12:16Speaker 4: are they always winners?
- 12:17Speaker 1: Are they always good teams?
- 12:18Speaker 5: Like?
- 12:19Speaker 1: Are they always.
- 12:22Speaker 5: Nasty?
- 12:22Speaker 1: Yes?
- 12:23Speaker 3: When right, I'm gonna say like there was one team
- 12:26Speaker 3: that was winning for like fifteen years straight, like so
- 12:28Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know, but that all that
- 12:31Speaker 3: being said, thank you for that backstory, thank you for
- 12:33Speaker 3: that understanding.
- 12:34Speaker 2: But that's what I think.
- 12:35Speaker 5: It's just like I don't know, maybe they're more like
- 12:37Speaker 5: the dynasty of the Buffalo Bills where they went four
- 12:40Speaker 5: times to the super Bowl and lost every time, Like
- 12:43Speaker 5: you got there, but well I didn't.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Know that that thing happen to wins. That's what I'm saying.
- 12:48Speaker 5: Maybe they're more like, yeah, like the Buffalo Bills, you know,
- 12:50Speaker 5: I mean, they got to the super Bowl four straight times, but.
- 12:53Speaker 1: But they win the super Bowls. So what I'm saying,
- 12:55Speaker 1: that's Hurgarians.
- 12:56Speaker 4: They get they do have a couple of winners in there,
- 12:58Speaker 4: So I'm saying maybe they're more like, I don't know.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Let's let's get into the details of the episode.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Because what was another reason why I like this, which
- 13:07Speaker 3: was because it was comical. It was like, so, you know,
- 13:11Speaker 3: first shout out to Damon for locking in. This man
- 13:13Speaker 3: locked in from the beginning of this of the battles
- 13:17Speaker 3: he made sure people was but he was supposed to
- 13:18Speaker 3: be bad news came he said, oh well, we got
- 13:21Speaker 3: to keep it pushing. He said, hey, Ranera, you got
- 13:23Speaker 3: to stand on business ten toes down, take.
- 13:25Speaker 4: That man out. We got to make this right. So
- 13:28Speaker 4: and durrop episode.
- 13:29Speaker 3: That's all he did was lock in and tell her,
- 13:32Speaker 3: bro you still got to do this, like you still
- 13:34Speaker 3: got murder. And every every turn whenever Vanera was like
- 13:38Speaker 3: kind of faltering or being like, well, I don't know,
- 13:40Speaker 3: he was like, but you know, you.
- 13:42Speaker 4: Have to kill this bastard, right, like, like.
- 13:46Speaker 3: I love that, but but more more more on the
- 13:49Speaker 3: comedy side, the fact that, as mentioned when Raniera, you
- 13:52Speaker 3: are gonna be queen, but it means you got to
- 13:54Speaker 3: be queen, you have to govern the realm, you have
- 13:57Speaker 3: to deal with these people you and right away, like
- 13:59Speaker 3: people don't even give her a chance. She I don't
- 14:02Speaker 3: think she even fully properly grieved before Niggas was asking
- 14:06Speaker 3: her for shit. And not only that, she comes into
- 14:09Speaker 3: a very ghetto situation. First, Keith Lannon ain't got no money.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Apparently where the money went all of a sudden. Nobody
- 14:19Speaker 3: knows what's going on. Allison don't know. The master coin
- 14:22Speaker 3: may hit it somewhere, and he's.
- 14:24Speaker 4: Gone, as far as I understand, right right right, he's gone,
- 14:29Speaker 4: and and and no one knows nothing except for that
- 14:32Speaker 4: the money is money is out of here.
- 14:34Speaker 3: So you have a situation where you ain't got no money.
- 14:38Speaker 3: People are complaining that it's low stores of food. Uh,
- 14:41Speaker 3: there's no game around or there's low game around like
- 14:43Speaker 3: like it's it's literally the pride Lands got ravaged and
- 14:46Speaker 3: the people who were responsible, the hyaenas responsible, ain't nowhere
- 14:49Speaker 3: to be found.
- 14:50Speaker 2: And it's just like, so what do you do now?
- 14:52Speaker 3: Now you you've basically inherited a mess and how do
- 14:55Speaker 3: you fix that?
- 14:55Speaker 4: Right? Again, very indicative.
- 14:57Speaker 3: A lot of leaders that we've seen come up that
- 14:59Speaker 3: you know, ended up being you know, servants of the people.
- 15:02Speaker 3: But it was it was also comedy because you just
- 15:06Speaker 3: Rainier was getting just people just in her face and
- 15:09Speaker 3: ear left and right, like.
- 15:10Speaker 2: I need this, I need that, and she needs too.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Now, before I get into more things to talk to you,
- 15:17Speaker 3: let y'all talk more about that, just the situation that
- 15:20Speaker 3: she's been put in.
- 15:20Speaker 4: I just want the situations she put herself in. I
- 15:22Speaker 4: should say, yeah, she's a lot to blame for it.
- 15:26Speaker 4: I do want to say though that like the way
- 15:29Speaker 4: you just set it up kind of reminded me, like
- 15:31Speaker 4: do we think that r near?
- 15:32Speaker 1: It could be Mom, Donnie, Like she comes in, she's.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Trying, but she listened to Missaria and that's what I'm
- 15:39Speaker 3: That's the is the parallel I'm making. She's listening to
- 15:41Speaker 3: Masaria like, Yo, everything's in shambles with go with sticking
- 15:45Speaker 3: with the people to try to, you know, have them
- 15:47Speaker 3: raise you up.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Remember Massaria is also of the common folk.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Like she's like, look, I'm trying to get you, get
- 15:53Speaker 3: your base right, get your foundation right, and they will
- 15:55Speaker 3: hold you up.
- 15:57Speaker 4: I just think that's funny as a setup like came
- 15:58Speaker 4: into a very bad trying to like the will of
- 16:01Speaker 4: the people, Like is that gonna be you're stating that
- 16:04Speaker 4: we think Nire is gonna ever like be on mom
- 16:06Speaker 4: Donnie's side, like Mam Donnie kind of grew Like really,
- 16:09Speaker 4: I don't.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Think the patter a ball has Ben says, says no.
- 16:12Speaker 4: But but like but like think about her like upbringing
- 16:16Speaker 4: and how she sees the world, like right, like she
- 16:19Speaker 4: is she really gonna like be a person of the people.
- 16:21Speaker 4: We even heard her, Joe, We've heard I mean political
- 16:30Speaker 4: does the bare minimum. She does what's necessary to check
- 16:33Speaker 4: people because she needs to be able to like build
- 16:36Speaker 4: power in some way. She's not actually about that.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Course, she gives people a bit of swag bags and says,
- 16:42Speaker 3: oh this, you know, and she does it again under
- 16:45Speaker 3: the the suggestion of Missaria like oh you know, and
- 16:48Speaker 3: they know she knows it's not enough, like that's gonna
- 16:51Speaker 3: get them through the week at most if that, and
- 16:54Speaker 3: then what what do you do now? So like she's
- 16:57Speaker 3: what I see Raniara doing is a lot of temper
- 17:00Speaker 3: rarey measures and things to try to like hold people
- 17:03Speaker 3: at bay for the moment.
- 17:05Speaker 2: None of this is long term because she's not prepared.
- 17:07Speaker 3: She's not prepared for long term, which is interesting, like
- 17:10Speaker 3: throughout all of this fighting, all of this pushing, it
- 17:13Speaker 3: almost feels like there was no plan, like what is the.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Longest Not exactly knew, but where was the plan?
- 17:21Speaker 3: And maybe this was the fault because she couldn't trust
- 17:23Speaker 3: her small council back at Dragonstone, like there was no
- 17:26Speaker 3: conversation like Okay, so when we get there, if shit
- 17:30Speaker 3: is this way, we're gonna do this. If shit is
- 17:32Speaker 3: that way, we're going to do that. But I just
- 17:33Speaker 3: feel like you showed up and I was like, okay,
- 17:35Speaker 3: I'm queen. Now what I feel like?
- 17:37Speaker 4: That's when I when I say she set herself up,
- 17:39Speaker 4: Like that's what I mean, Like she people are calling
- 17:42Speaker 4: it the tiny council, like there's like three people in
- 17:45Speaker 4: a room with her, because it's like, are you a
- 17:47Speaker 4: cordless and datement? No third is it? And so it's
- 17:53Speaker 4: like she set herself up because she was ready, like
- 17:58Speaker 4: she either you're going to be in a combat space
- 18:02Speaker 4: or you're going to be in a governing space. You
- 18:04Speaker 4: trying to do both at the same time with limited
- 18:07Speaker 4: three people, it's just foolhardy in a.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Way that is like I don't understand what you want
- 18:12Speaker 1: to do.
- 18:12Speaker 4: And I think that with like her having mistrust in
- 18:18Speaker 4: her queen's guard, her having mistrust in her small counsel
- 18:21Speaker 4: back and Dragonstone, like there's so much that was warped
- 18:26Speaker 4: within that relationship and that dynamic that like if she
- 18:31Speaker 4: were a better student of people and networks and stuff
- 18:37Speaker 4: and had built up stuff with people, she would be
- 18:39Speaker 4: able to use them as far as she needs them
- 18:42Speaker 4: and then move, like move them out of position based
- 18:46Speaker 4: on what she gets.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Her needs met.
- 18:48Speaker 4: Like, Okay, I can't trust like even the person that
- 18:51Speaker 4: she has. She's like, I can trust Damon to a point.
- 18:53Speaker 4: Who's going to be my king's guard like hers, that's
- 18:58Speaker 4: his strength, right, But like even whenever the guy is
- 19:01Speaker 4: following her, she's having the same mistrust. We see her
- 19:04Speaker 4: like looking back, like she doesn't trust the guy who's
- 19:07Speaker 4: with her, and she like she only feels safe when she's.
- 19:09Speaker 1: In the room with Damon.
- 19:11Speaker 3: I mean I wouldn't trust either. I mean we even
- 19:14Speaker 3: see that like figuratively and literally as she's walking and
- 19:18Speaker 3: this is a Eggon's fault, but agon discard. But as
- 19:22Speaker 3: she's walking through the castle, there's nothing barrets everywhere. And
- 19:25Speaker 3: that's that's obviously, you know, that's supposed to be symbolic,
- 19:28Speaker 3: you know, besides myself a little it's nothing barrets everywhere
- 19:33Speaker 3: she turns, everywhere she steps, everywhere she goes. You can't
- 19:36Speaker 3: trust what's there, you can, And then the stuff that
- 19:38Speaker 3: is there, it's like that is a something that you
- 19:41Speaker 3: want to get away from.
- 19:42Speaker 2: So she is surrounded by rats.
- 19:44Speaker 3: I mean you see the workers within the castle pulling
- 19:49Speaker 3: out on the green shit and putting away.
- 19:50Speaker 4: And Nigga is saying, oh, you know, I was always
- 19:52Speaker 4: with you. I was always down with you. I was
- 19:54Speaker 4: always down.
- 19:55Speaker 3: With the blacks all getting and then and you know,
- 19:57Speaker 3: and she even saying, well, no one ever told me
- 19:59Speaker 3: that you was down with me. You know, you was
- 20:01Speaker 3: pretty quiet when shit was going left for me, Like,
- 20:04Speaker 3: where was your loyal you know, where was your outward
- 20:07Speaker 3: where was.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Your loud loyalty?
- 20:08Speaker 5: Right?
- 20:08Speaker 2: What do they say about people?
- 20:09Speaker 3: They say, you know, when when when the ship gets rough,
- 20:12Speaker 3: everybody quiet.
- 20:13Speaker 2: But when everything's good.
- 20:14Speaker 3: When everything you know is everything's tasty, you out there
- 20:18Speaker 3: eating with me.
- 20:19Speaker 4: Where was you before?
- 20:20Speaker 5: Not shooting in the gym?
- 20:22Speaker 3: Not shooting in the gym? And and that's the thing.
- 20:24Speaker 3: It's like, you got all these people saying, oh, oh,
- 20:27Speaker 3: I just want you to know, like living people can
- 20:29Speaker 3: say this. M So it was just again why I
- 20:30Speaker 3: thought it was so calmed. They was like, oh, I
- 20:32Speaker 3: always always fuck with your father. I always fun with
- 20:34Speaker 3: your father. You know, I knew you was the one
- 20:36Speaker 3: you I been knew, So where was you when? And
- 20:39Speaker 3: I'm saying you were trying to save your life, you
- 20:41Speaker 3: was trying to get beheaded. But where was you when
- 20:43Speaker 3: I needed you to stand up for me? You show
- 20:45Speaker 3: up now after the fact. And it's kind of similar
- 20:49Speaker 3: like when we had that conversation about the other episode
- 20:52Speaker 3: when when when Jace was killed and the King's guard
- 20:56Speaker 3: was saying, oh, well take my head.
- 20:57Speaker 4: What that gonna do for me?
- 20:58Speaker 5: Now? She did still make sure that he got his head,
- 21:01Speaker 5: taking the one word the other.
- 21:04Speaker 3: The point is, where was you? And now that everything
- 21:07Speaker 3: is all good, now you're here like, oh, you know
- 21:10Speaker 3: I was always I was always down for the cause.
- 21:12Speaker 4: I was always down for the tigeris okay? I don't
- 21:15Speaker 4: trust you, so that's I said.
- 21:16Speaker 2: I don't blame her.
- 21:17Speaker 4: I don't.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I don't blame it, but but it's also a problem,
- 21:20Speaker 3: right to your point, Portia, it's also a problem because
- 21:22Speaker 3: if you're in constant state of paranoia and constant state
- 21:26Speaker 3: of dis mistrust of everybody, every team, when are you
- 21:30Speaker 3: going to be able to.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Get to a point of action?
- 21:33Speaker 4: Right You're always going to be an analysis paralysis.
- 21:38Speaker 5: And famously on this show, I've always been you know,
- 21:42Speaker 5: not anti Team Black, but more anti team idiots. And
- 21:46Speaker 5: I can't really say that anyone at this point, you know,
- 21:50Speaker 5: is very much playing the game. Well, I think Ray
- 21:52Speaker 5: is doing the best she can. You know, she's like
- 21:54Speaker 5: Mariah Carry right now, but she can with what I got,
- 21:58Speaker 5: you know, straight up, that's all she can do right now.
- 22:02Speaker 5: But portion like you said, it's also kind of of
- 22:05Speaker 5: her own making. Like I get it that the Small
- 22:08Speaker 5: Council did, you know, kind of betray you, But who
- 22:12Speaker 5: else you got Like.
- 22:13Speaker 3: They legitimately betrayed her though they did they locked her ass,
- 22:18Speaker 3: but it was on her son, you know, it was
- 22:21Speaker 3: like her small tussel where they but what the Small
- 22:23Speaker 3: Council effed up the most because like they sked up
- 22:25Speaker 3: with so many different ways where they get with the
- 22:27Speaker 3: most in this current air of it is like one
- 22:31Speaker 3: not having worked out with ray Nira, Okay, what are
- 22:35Speaker 3: our what are the phases of what we're doing.
- 22:37Speaker 1: We're gonna like we're go in combat or whatever.
- 22:39Speaker 4: How much combat do we need to like when we
- 22:42Speaker 4: know we've done enough to be able to take on whatever.
- 22:45Speaker 4: Whenever she came to them with like, Okay, we're gonna
- 22:48Speaker 4: get kings landing, they're gonna be they could have they
- 22:50Speaker 4: all they said was we think it's a trap.
- 22:52Speaker 1: You shouldn't do this.
- 22:53Speaker 4: What should have happened is that they said, we think
- 22:56Speaker 4: it's a trap. Perhaps you shouldn't do this, but in
- 22:59Speaker 4: the if it does work out, this is what we
- 23:02Speaker 4: can do.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Boom boom boom. This is what needs to be a
- 23:04Speaker 1: phase in.
- 23:05Speaker 4: And they weren't like they the lack of support they
- 23:08Speaker 4: had for her and the way they showed it, and
- 23:11Speaker 4: it was like not conducive to there actually be anything
- 23:15Speaker 4: worked on together by collaborative.
- 23:17Speaker 1: It's like at least put on the facade like.
- 23:18Speaker 4: You're trying to help me, Like don't actually just sit
- 23:21Speaker 4: in nothing like actually try and seem like you're doing
- 23:23Speaker 4: something today.
- 23:25Speaker 5: And also on that note, though she never told them
- 23:27Speaker 5: that Alison think right, she never let them in on
- 23:30Speaker 5: that that she's been talking to Alison and Alison trying
- 23:32Speaker 5: to open the gate.
- 23:33Speaker 1: That they set it up.
- 23:34Speaker 5: Yeah, so it's like somebody she didn't Sorry she told Yes,
- 23:40Speaker 5: she told people on the tiny council, but she didn't
- 23:43Speaker 5: tell people on the small council. So when she's like, yeah,
- 23:45Speaker 5: I'm gonna ride in there, they're like, sure, are you
- 23:48Speaker 5: about to get yourself murdered?
- 23:49Speaker 1: But I'm sorry.
- 23:50Speaker 4: O were like a better baster of whispers like she
- 23:53Speaker 4: would have like at least knows, at least one more
- 23:55Speaker 4: person on the council she could have made start doing
- 23:58Speaker 4: procedures like maybe they don't need to know why.
- 24:01Speaker 5: She don't really, but they don't really fuck with her.
- 24:03Speaker 5: They don't fuck with you know, they don't fuck with Ray.
- 24:05Speaker 5: They don't fuck with her.
- 24:06Speaker 1: So you but you that's the whole point of politics.
- 24:09Speaker 5: You gotta get it.
- 24:10Speaker 1: You got to.
- 24:10Speaker 4: Make someone, make them like someone's on your small council.
- 24:17Speaker 4: They need to be someone who is going to be
- 24:20Speaker 4: that like alliance between Liaison, between you and the people
- 24:23Speaker 4: that you don't Fox with somebody.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Got to do it and not take orders from your son.
- 24:27Speaker 5: You know, you said mom Donnie earlier. And I think
- 24:29Speaker 5: the more app uh comparison is to Obama because you know,
- 24:35Speaker 5: while Obama does look good and we all love him
- 24:38Speaker 5: and everything, he kept on bombing and doing everything America
- 24:41Speaker 5: is really great at with no problem. You know, he
- 24:44Speaker 5: never really stopped any of that stuff. So that's more
- 24:48Speaker 5: of what Ray is about. You know, she don't keep
- 24:49Speaker 5: on bombing with her dragons and doing that type of thing.
- 24:53Speaker 5: See what works out for you.
- 24:54Speaker 1: That you how do you feel about that?
- 24:56Speaker 4: Like we that was something that stood out to me
- 24:58Speaker 4: because I I know how.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Much it's is foreshadowing into later stuff. So I'm trying
- 25:03Speaker 1: not to like put to the book readers, trying not
- 25:07Speaker 1: to like spoil us. I get it.
- 25:08Speaker 4: I'm yeah, I'm not trying to get too out there.
- 25:10Speaker 4: But how did you feel about the Septon saying to her.
- 25:15Speaker 5: That don't an enemy of us?
- 25:17Speaker 1: That but that part But.
- 25:18Speaker 4: That's what the Stevens always say, Like every already said
- 25:21Speaker 4: this before. We've seen this with with like how they've
- 25:25Speaker 4: reacted to Circe like we you know this, But how
- 25:29Speaker 4: do you feel about the Septon saying that like dragons
- 25:33Speaker 4: are like arcane, dark magical, they're not, but they're not
- 25:36Speaker 4: related to the seven at all. Like like they're trying
- 25:39Speaker 4: trying to like basically mitigate the idea that there's any
- 25:43Speaker 4: divine rights through religious dragons that not only the like,
- 25:49Speaker 4: but not only that Nier because we already know they
- 25:50Speaker 4: felt a way about Rainier being on the Greens too.
- 25:53Speaker 1: That yeah, but that the direct because the Greens, that's
- 25:57Speaker 1: the thing.
- 25:57Speaker 4: The Greens old town, like, that's all like, that's what related.
- 26:01Speaker 4: That's all old world, like the Septans and stuff they train,
- 26:04Speaker 4: is there. So like the way that the culture is
- 26:08Speaker 4: like the high towers, the Greens like they have more
- 26:11Speaker 4: sway with the like the religion, like with the Sevens,
- 26:15Speaker 4: like the Septs and all of that stuff than they
- 26:18Speaker 4: do then like the Targarians do because again their conquerors,
- 26:21Speaker 4: they came from old Oliria, that doom of all that stuff,
- 26:25Speaker 4: which we can get into in a second they'll talk
- 26:26Speaker 4: about Damon. But this is what I think about that.
- 26:30Speaker 4: But if you think about like them, like the idea
- 26:33Speaker 4: that the Targarians should even like have dragons and dragons,
- 26:38Speaker 4: this is what they said, Dragons are destruction. Dragons are
- 26:43Speaker 4: they're not creation, yea. But yeah, this is what I think.
- 26:47Speaker 4: This is the way of all churches. And I'm sorry
- 26:50Speaker 4: to say this, this.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Is even in in in common times, modern real life,
- 26:55Speaker 3: a lot of the times, a lot of stuff is
- 26:56Speaker 3: driven by jealousy and power.
- 26:59Speaker 4: Yes, this is the churches.
- 27:01Speaker 3: And again this is not talking about anyone one particular
- 27:04Speaker 3: religion in real life or otherwise. This is when we're
- 27:06Speaker 3: talking about as a function of a state, right like
- 27:11Speaker 3: you have the the the church state, and you have
- 27:13Speaker 3: the state of the state, right like the government. Right
- 27:16Speaker 3: the church in this particular sense and Game of Thrones
- 27:18Speaker 3: is an entity that wields a certain amount of power,
- 27:21Speaker 3: is an entity that wills a certain amount of influence,
- 27:24Speaker 3: and they're not going to let anything get in their way.
- 27:26Speaker 3: That is indicative of many different religions. It's one way
- 27:31Speaker 3: of thinking, a very very simplified way is saying about
- 27:34Speaker 3: when I mentioned jealousy, right, like, you have something that's
- 27:37Speaker 3: clearly powerful, it's clearly physically incapably powerful. When we're talking
- 27:41Speaker 3: about dragons and everything behind that where they came from,
- 27:44Speaker 3: and whether it's dark magic kind of doesn't really matter
- 27:46Speaker 3: the fact is it's an opposing force to saying, oh,
- 27:50Speaker 3: the seven gods and all this other. This is something
- 27:52Speaker 3: that's clearly okay, seven gods, that's cool, drakars.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that's another level.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Right.
- 27:59Speaker 3: So you and we've seen that even in the original
- 28:01Speaker 3: Game of Thrones, that there's always been a fight between
- 28:04Speaker 3: the Church and the House of the Dragon, right, Like
- 28:07Speaker 3: there's always been a situation that because that is a
- 28:10Speaker 3: threat to their power. So I was laughing when the
- 28:13Speaker 3: scepter was saying on that and getting and getting breaking
- 28:16Speaker 3: bad on deneracause I was just like, here we go
- 28:19Speaker 3: again with the typical oh well, you know, the church
- 28:22Speaker 3: is big.
- 28:22Speaker 2: The church is bigger than the program.
- 28:24Speaker 3: That's how I felt about it, Like he was trying
- 28:26Speaker 3: to drive that narrative that oh, no matter what, like
- 28:29Speaker 3: you know, you still you're in our pocket, Like we're
- 28:31Speaker 3: like the Church has always seen themselves above the monarchy,
- 28:34Speaker 3: Like okay, cool, but you need me to divine divinate you, right,
- 28:38Speaker 3: you need me to call you a saint or this
- 28:42Speaker 3: or that, right, because and then and and that is
- 28:45Speaker 3: how they're taught, that's how they think it is what
- 28:47Speaker 3: it is. But that is always going to be an
- 28:50Speaker 3: opposing view. His idea of about this being dark magic.
- 28:54Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 28:55Speaker 3: I did see some stuff online when they were like, oh,
- 28:58Speaker 3: you know the people like I'm not misstar, but what
- 29:01Speaker 3: was the name of that witch from.
- 29:02Speaker 4: The original Red Red Priests?
- 29:05Speaker 3: Like the red they're saying those Red priestesses and witches
- 29:09Speaker 3: and all that whatever, whatever their proper names are, Like,
- 29:11Speaker 3: they're involved in that, right, And again you're talking about
- 29:14Speaker 3: another group that is in the direct opposition of the
- 29:17Speaker 3: Lord of the Light. Yeah, is in direct opposition to
- 29:20Speaker 3: the Church, right, and they're going to align just like
- 29:23Speaker 3: anything that you read, They're going to align anything contrary
- 29:26Speaker 3: to their cause to being evil or being.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Of not of of of creation or not of this
- 29:31Speaker 2: or not of that.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Now, one can argue in some ways they're right because
- 29:35Speaker 3: every time you see a dragon, niggas getting blown up, right,
- 29:38Speaker 3: niggas getting lit up like birthday candles, we get it.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Like anytime you see a bunch.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Of dragons, well more than one dragon in one place,
- 29:46Speaker 3: you know it's about to be a problem. That's they're
- 29:49Speaker 3: not wrong in that case, right. But also I think
- 29:52Speaker 3: this goes back to Ben's original question. Has there ever
- 29:54Speaker 3: been good that has come from it?
- 29:55Speaker 5: Right, Like, no, no, and that, But that was not
- 30:00Speaker 5: my question.
- 30:01Speaker 3: My question when you know what I'm saying, you say,
- 30:04Speaker 3: has ever been a good it all goes together man,
- 30:06Speaker 3: when you said, has ever been a good targarian leader?
- 30:08Speaker 3: The fact is that everything around them is about dragons.
- 30:11Speaker 3: They became in it because they got a fucking dragon.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Let's be real, let's be real.
- 30:15Speaker 4: Answer, So is there anything.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Positive about the aspect of dragons? Is what I'm getting at.
- 30:20Speaker 3: The Church can argue that all day. Small folk can
- 30:23Speaker 3: argue that all day. But it's also like you can,
- 30:25Speaker 3: there's both sides. But the point I'm trying to make
- 30:27Speaker 3: is it comes down to a battle of power and
- 30:30Speaker 3: a battle of influence and what they feel what someone
- 30:36Speaker 3: else feels is right and wrong, which is again the
- 30:39Speaker 3: church trying to make things their way.
- 30:42Speaker 1: That's how I feel about it, yep.
- 30:44Speaker 5: And that being said, I don't think that the Church
- 30:46Speaker 5: or the dragons, neither one does good for the world.
- 30:51Speaker 5: You know, the Church can claim that they're about creation,
- 30:54Speaker 5: but they're doing just as much destruction as not behind
- 30:59Speaker 5: the scenes.
- 31:00Speaker 4: Yeah, but they're on the scale of a dragon.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Because we're talking about religion.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Here we're talking about things that take over whole lands
- 31:07Speaker 3: and people and.
- 31:08Speaker 5: Error or generation just so no.
- 31:11Speaker 4: On the scale of a dragon, just differently, just differently.
- 31:13Speaker 5: So yeah, no, they're both destructive, et cetera. But yeah,
- 31:17Speaker 5: I just felt like you said that was just him
- 31:19Speaker 5: trying to claim rights, you know, getting the power, putting
- 31:21Speaker 5: the power, saying this whole episode, a lot of it
- 31:24Speaker 5: was about, you know, her claim to fame, like whether
- 31:27Speaker 5: or not she is the rightful queen of it all
- 31:30Speaker 5: because you know, Corliss definitely questions her publicly, the church
- 31:34Speaker 5: won't align with her, she has no counsel. All these
- 31:38Speaker 5: things are like, yo, you know, is she the right
- 31:41Speaker 5: one for the job? And this is her test and
- 31:45Speaker 5: you know, so far she's doing okay.
- 31:46Speaker 3: It's also it goes back to the questions that again
- 31:49Speaker 3: when we talk about feeling betrayed.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Are they doing this because she's a woman?
- 31:53Speaker 3: M yes, just has to keep and I want to
- 31:56Speaker 3: make sure I guess not get lost in this conversation.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Does this keep happening because she's a woman. Yeah, But
- 32:00Speaker 3: when they question, even though.
- 32:02Speaker 4: She is lying through teeth, when she says, oh, let's
- 32:04Speaker 4: just talk, that says dead but.
- 32:08Speaker 1: If someone else had said it.
- 32:10Speaker 4: Yeah it was Jase and he was a little older, right,
- 32:13Speaker 4: and would they have questions If it was.
- 32:14Speaker 5: A man, she would have never got locked in the room,
- 32:16Speaker 5: So this wouldn't have gone down like that, no way,
- 32:19Speaker 5: shape or form. So yeah, no, it is all because
- 32:22Speaker 5: a woman, and I think her you know, being on
- 32:24Speaker 5: her period. This episode is like the capstone of that
- 32:27Speaker 5: where it's like, yeah, this is a woman, and throughout
- 32:31Speaker 5: all this she has to deal with being a queen
- 32:34Speaker 5: even though you know, she's like a man would have
- 32:37Speaker 5: to deal with being a king in the same way,
- 32:39Speaker 5: but he wouldn't be getting tested at every angle and
- 32:42Speaker 5: then have the you know, physical side of it as
- 32:45Speaker 5: well to deal with, plus the grief, et cetera. You know.
- 32:49Speaker 5: So yeah, this is a lot of that. The two
- 32:51Speaker 5: themes in this episode are really about, you know, and
- 32:54Speaker 5: it's not about is it a woman right for the job,
- 32:56Speaker 5: It's just what a woman will go through when she
- 32:59Speaker 5: gets the job.
- 33:00Speaker 4: I would argue that her small counsel wouldn't be like
- 33:04Speaker 4: she would have a better relationship with their small counsel
- 33:06Speaker 4: if she were a man. Oh yeah, I would argue
- 33:10Speaker 4: that the I don't know I just feel like there's
- 33:13Speaker 4: different things that are happening when it comes to when
- 33:18Speaker 4: people curry trying to look to curry favor or whatever. Like,
- 33:21Speaker 4: I feel like a lot of the people, like the
- 33:22Speaker 4: head made or whatever coming up to her in the
- 33:25Speaker 4: hallway would not have happened if she were a man
- 33:28Speaker 4: like because there's and there's you know, there's there's two
- 33:30Speaker 4: ways to think about it, because I think one, there's
- 33:34Speaker 4: like a lot of philosophy I'm like in, but I
- 33:37Speaker 4: think one the way that like the court is set up,
- 33:43Speaker 4: and I mentioned this last episode, We've never seen a
- 33:46Speaker 4: queen ruler of west Rows before. We've seen queens as
- 33:51Speaker 4: companions and you know, I forget what they call the
- 33:55Speaker 4: concert queen consorts before. So there are queens who have
- 33:59Speaker 4: like done things of their own volition with the like
- 34:04Speaker 4: favor and resources from the king to do like you know,
- 34:10Speaker 4: kind of like Michelle Obama and the.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Move campaign or whatever.
- 34:15Speaker 4: Like they've like they will get support to do the
- 34:18Speaker 4: thing they do as first lady, but like they're not
- 34:21Speaker 4: running the kingdom.
- 34:23Speaker 1: This is the first time we're seeing like a.
- 34:25Speaker 4: Queen run the kingdom and they're people in the Castle's
- 34:31Speaker 4: first thing to do is to talk directly to her
- 34:34Speaker 4: rather than talk to someone.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Who is reparable with her.
- 34:38Speaker 4: Yeah, and clearly not Damon, who is like if it
- 34:42Speaker 4: were like if it were king and a queen, then
- 34:44Speaker 4: it would be right to go to the first person,
- 34:46Speaker 4: right like to the not to the person who's a ruler,
- 34:49Speaker 4: but their first, their consort. So they don't go to Damon.
- 34:53Speaker 4: They go directly to her because she's a woman, and
- 34:56Speaker 4: they're used to women fulfilling the role of like taking
- 34:59Speaker 4: on the house household all that stuff, so like her
- 35:02Speaker 4: chamberlain and stuff like that.
- 35:04Speaker 1: You shouldn't have become her. You should have been going
- 35:06Speaker 1: to someone else's representative about the household.
- 35:08Speaker 4: And she barely had anybody but she has and she
- 35:12Speaker 4: but she got cordless halfway.
- 35:14Speaker 1: She wouldn't feel comfort. They should not feel comfortable coming
- 35:16Speaker 1: to her, is what I'm saying.
- 35:17Speaker 5: They're right the.
- 35:19Speaker 1: First even want to approach her.
- 35:21Speaker 2: She is she is your grace at the end of
- 35:24Speaker 2: the day, just pull.
- 35:26Speaker 5: Up about candles and ship like right.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Yeah, they was talking about the candles and and and
- 35:31Speaker 3: we need some more talent. I was just like, but
- 35:34Speaker 3: that's but then I asked, when I asked earlier, what
- 35:37Speaker 3: was the plan, Like, what was the governance plan? It
- 35:40Speaker 3: seemed like, Okay, I got the castle, I beheaded for cool. Oh,
- 35:46Speaker 3: now I gotta take care of a whole million people
- 35:48Speaker 3: work the city, Like I just it just felt like
- 35:51Speaker 3: an unfinished plan, Like now I'm installed on the throne
- 35:54Speaker 3: kind of now what I'm like, there is no protocol
- 36:00Speaker 3: and that's what say. It's like, I fully agree with you, Portia.
- 36:04Speaker 3: And on top of that, also, you know, in parallel
- 36:08Speaker 3: there is no protocol. There's just like pull down all
- 36:11Speaker 3: the green shit, put up my pictures. Okay, how do
- 36:17Speaker 3: I Who do I talk to when I need something done?
- 36:19Speaker 2: Who is there? And and everything is a mess.
- 36:22Speaker 3: So it's like I also kind of get why these
- 36:26Speaker 3: these commoners are just kind of just talking to her, Like, well,
- 36:28Speaker 3: you seem to be the only real nigga in charge,
- 36:30Speaker 3: so I'm just gonna talk to the realist nigga in
- 36:32Speaker 3: the room command era.
- 36:34Speaker 5: Yeah, because they don't know the master whispers, I mean
- 36:39Speaker 5: the master whispers.
- 36:41Speaker 2: They're not supposed to because that's what really Messori is role.
- 36:43Speaker 5: She's supposed to do shit on.
- 36:45Speaker 2: The side for her.
- 36:45Speaker 5: Yeah, they don't know who she is. Basically, you know,
- 36:47Speaker 5: she ain't gonna be the one who's like, I'm the whisperer,
- 36:49Speaker 5: you know. And then they know Corlis, but they can't
- 36:51Speaker 5: talk to Corlers, and they know Damon and.
- 36:54Speaker 2: They know who David is.
- 36:55Speaker 4: Why is cordless more formidable than the queen? But for
- 37:01Speaker 4: what you mean for that not to talk.
- 37:03Speaker 3: About but exactly, yeah, but that's your point in your
- 37:08Speaker 3: point is solid. I also took it as rainier and
- 37:10Speaker 3: never said, oh, don't go talk to this nigga over here.
- 37:13Speaker 3: It was always everyone was coming to her, and it
- 37:16Speaker 3: was never mitigated. It was just I have no plan. Well,
- 37:19Speaker 3: no one's telling me not to talk to you. I've
- 37:21Speaker 3: been in that situation where I'm doing an event, no
- 37:24Speaker 3: one's telling me who to talk to. So I'm gonna
- 37:26Speaker 3: go to whoever, as mentioned, who's the realer's nick in
- 37:28Speaker 3: the room. That's the person who gonna get it done
- 37:29Speaker 3: for me.
- 37:30Speaker 5: And then also of the three one, okay, whisper, I
- 37:33Speaker 5: don't know, I'm not asking Damon ship and then you
- 37:37Speaker 5: know all this, yeah, like I'm trying to keep my
- 37:40Speaker 5: head so I'm not asking Damon shit. And then Corlan's like,
- 37:45Speaker 5: I probably ain't asking that nigga shit either.
- 37:47Speaker 4: You know, like she is even formally named Hand was
- 37:51Speaker 4: basically functioning.
- 37:52Speaker 5: And this nigga's like the sea snake. You know, it's
- 37:54Speaker 5: like this nigga's also a legendary nigga. Like I'm not
- 37:56Speaker 5: approaching this nigga, you know.
- 37:58Speaker 3: But that to speaks back to portious point like oh,
- 38:01Speaker 3: you're too legendary to talk to, but you could talk,
- 38:03Speaker 3: but but you could bring yourself to queen.
- 38:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I know. Well, it ain't no respect to your
- 38:08Speaker 5: fam Like that's you know, that's what it is. Respect
- 38:11Speaker 5: level is low.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Everything's a mess, like it's a lot going on within
- 38:19Speaker 3: this episode again we see that stuff is in disarray
- 38:21Speaker 3: from a governor's perspective, stuff is in disarray from a
- 38:24Speaker 3: like day to day perspective.
- 38:26Speaker 2: Raniera is literally grasping.
- 38:28Speaker 3: For straws and like, y'all gotta give me a minute.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Let's talk about this situation with her and Cordless.
- 38:35Speaker 5: Okay, before we get to that, though, then can we
- 38:37Speaker 5: talk about I have to bring this up because I
- 38:39Speaker 5: haven't been around in a while, and you know, I
- 38:42Speaker 5: always say that she sent her son loose to get eight,
- 38:45Speaker 5: and you know she doesn't even have flashbacks to that boy, right.
- 38:50Speaker 3: You know, so you're talking about the fact that she
- 38:52Speaker 3: saw Jason's ghosts in the hallway, but you're saying she
- 38:55Speaker 3: never saw loose is you don't know what the lady saw.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Stop doing that.
- 39:00Speaker 5: No, and for real, The practical reason is that Louse
- 39:02Speaker 5: has probably grown so much that we wouldn't recognize him,
- 39:04Speaker 5: and they brought him back. So that's why they do
- 39:07Speaker 5: give her the jaseone. But yes, now to lose Jace
- 39:13Speaker 5: Jeffrey Well.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Joy not dead.
- 39:15Speaker 4: He's just in the bad.
- 39:16Speaker 5: No, no, no, he's just a bastard. That's what I'm
- 39:18Speaker 5: not saying. I'm getting to Corless. He ran down the
- 39:24Speaker 5: line and said, Louise, he's a Boston.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 39:33Speaker 5: No, Like it goes back to what I said. This
- 39:36Speaker 5: whole episode is about questioning her legitimacy and my man's right.
- 39:40Speaker 5: You know that's the thing. Like this is one of
- 39:42Speaker 5: those situations where I really felt for Cordless, Like he's like, yo,
- 39:47Speaker 5: I stood with you. My brother called you out, uh
- 39:52Speaker 5: very on what's his brother's man, Vaymon? Vaymon called you out.
- 39:56Speaker 5: Got his head took for it. You know, I hurt
- 40:00Speaker 5: he wasn't in the room. Corliss was lost to see
- 40:02Speaker 5: at the point, right, or he was unconscious one of these.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Oh when got beheaded.
- 40:06Speaker 5: Yeah, but he heard. He definitely heard because Raymon said
- 40:08Speaker 5: out after the fame. I mean everyone heard. Ymon was like, yo,
- 40:12Speaker 5: you your kids bastards, and then he got his head
- 40:14Speaker 5: brut off. So he knows that, you know, everyone knows
- 40:18Speaker 5: your kids bastards. And I've been defending these bastards this
- 40:22Speaker 5: whole time, and you won't legitimize my bastards.
- 40:29Speaker 2: So so your take is that Corliss wasn't wrong.
- 40:33Speaker 5: No, but it's fucked because it's just one of those situations.
- 40:36Speaker 5: It's just like with everything in this you know you
- 40:39Speaker 5: ain't wrong, but this is not the time, fam you know,
- 40:44Speaker 5: like this is not real.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Cl I think that was That's my real question. Why
- 40:49Speaker 1: do you rich As.
- 40:50Speaker 5: Is always you know, like, I'm sorry, Corlis is a bitch, Like.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Why do you think he's pushing for it so hard
- 40:56Speaker 1: right now? Why isn't he giving it a little moment
- 40:58Speaker 1: to breathe?
- 40:59Speaker 5: Why doesn't he is a bit.
- 41:03Speaker 3: More more more specifically, because he has nothing else going. Remember,
- 41:10Speaker 3: drift Mark is on drift Mark is in chambers. Drift
- 41:14Speaker 3: mark is addressed all right, drift marks at the bottom
- 41:18Speaker 3: of the seat with the little mermaid. Basically, he has
- 41:21Speaker 3: basically no fleet. He most of his family, with the
- 41:25Speaker 3: exception of like his grands are gone, you know, his bastards.
- 41:30Speaker 3: He has no no coin he and all he got
- 41:34Speaker 3: is his name.
- 41:35Speaker 5: So and oh sorry, just back to him being a bitch.
- 41:38Speaker 5: He does have granddaughters, right, who have friends his grand
- 41:44Speaker 5: they're Targarians. But here's the that's the that's the thing.
- 41:48Speaker 5: One of their daughters.
- 41:50Speaker 4: So tar gonna write and then two, yeah, he wants
- 41:55Speaker 4: his name.
- 41:56Speaker 2: He wants his name, and but we'll go ahead.
- 41:59Speaker 3: Before I go go ahead, Uh tell Portia, you were
- 42:02Speaker 3: just saying why does he want it?
- 42:03Speaker 1: Now? Like why does he want because like, here's my thing.
- 42:06Speaker 4: But I think it is happening is that he like
- 42:10Speaker 4: a more savvy political and he has shown himself to
- 42:14Speaker 4: be political savvy when he feels like doing it. A
- 42:16Speaker 4: person would be like, okay, I see that. The one
- 42:22Speaker 4: everyone knows that the way to get a title is
- 42:25Speaker 4: to have the crown at in debt to yes, right
- 42:31Speaker 4: right now, She's not gonna be looking at anything that
- 42:34Speaker 4: he's doing for her cause as her being indebted to
- 42:38Speaker 4: him because he put his name to her cause.
- 42:41Speaker 1: This family, one band, one sound, we're doing this together.
- 42:45Speaker 2: This is like my cousin says, Okay, I'm gonna help you.
- 42:48Speaker 3: Now you expect me to give you an extra thousand
- 42:51Speaker 3: dollars like you.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Was already the benefiting from the relationship. What are we
- 42:55Speaker 1: what are we doing? So?
- 42:57Speaker 4: Like everyone knows, the main way to get any kind
- 42:59Speaker 4: of by the crown is to have the crown in
- 43:02Speaker 4: your debt in some way, why not allow it some
- 43:06Speaker 4: time for her his sons to do something where they
- 43:10Speaker 4: would distinguish themselves enough to.
- 43:12Speaker 1: Put her in no other place, but to reward them
- 43:16Speaker 1: with that. That's a question.
- 43:18Speaker 4: Too, seeing how he knows he's putting a part of
- 43:22Speaker 4: the high house. He's a high house Valarian's or a
- 43:23Speaker 4: high house. Knowing how that all works.
- 43:27Speaker 1: What about the current situation makes you think.
- 43:30Speaker 4: That her she's already scrambling trying to be legitimate in
- 43:34Speaker 4: some way? How is her legitimizing your sons, which she's
- 43:37Speaker 4: not even seen as fully legitimate herself right now?
- 43:41Speaker 1: Seems like a right thing to do.
- 43:43Speaker 4: So you're gonna say, so, if this all turns over,
- 43:45Speaker 4: goes toffee turvy and she's out. You're gonna be sitting
- 43:48Speaker 4: around like what the last queen who was queen for
- 43:50Speaker 4: two days?
- 43:51Speaker 1: She legitimized my sons, like what are you? What are
- 43:54Speaker 1: we doing? That's my question?
- 43:56Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, look, the man has been he's he
- 43:59Speaker 5: wasn't you know, the strongest of character before any of this,
- 44:04Speaker 5: and now he's been pushed to the limit straight up
- 44:06Speaker 5: in that like you know, his home is burn pushes
- 44:09Speaker 5: you know, his home burnt to the ground, his fleet
- 44:12Speaker 5: is gone. He's got these two bastards and that's and
- 44:16Speaker 5: his eyes. That's all he's got left because you know,
- 44:18Speaker 5: once again he's a bitch and ignores his granddaughters. Do you, dragons,
- 44:24Speaker 5: do you.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Think the mortality has anything to do with it?
- 44:26Speaker 4: You think that him like seeing he still him in
- 44:28Speaker 4: it there made made him like let me get this
- 44:30Speaker 4: urgency up or.
- 44:31Speaker 3: Not just not just for a minute, cause remember Leanord,
- 44:34Speaker 3: he's a li believe Layn there is alive.
- 44:35Speaker 2: He's just chilling, you know, off in Beigi.
- 44:38Speaker 3: Somewhere we saw him like on a robot out of there.
- 44:41Speaker 3: He's often feeding somewhere, but for all intents and purposes.
- 44:44Speaker 3: He's not there, he's not part of the family anymore.
- 44:46Speaker 3: So really he sees it as he has nothing. And
- 44:49Speaker 3: this is this is where I was wanted to go
- 44:51Speaker 3: when it came to this conversation about Cordless, because this
- 44:53Speaker 3: is there's two schools of thoughts.
- 44:54Speaker 1: That I'm seeing.
- 44:55Speaker 3: That one really towards what Benn is saying about him
- 44:58Speaker 3: being a bitious because he he chooses now like now
- 45:01Speaker 3: that he has nothing left that now he wants to
- 45:03Speaker 3: legitimize because he has ambitions of keeping his lineas and
- 45:07Speaker 3: he says as much.
- 45:08Speaker 2: He says that he has.
- 45:10Speaker 3: No blood left, right like this is after he dies,
- 45:13Speaker 3: his blood line ends. He says that to Ranera, right
- 45:16Speaker 3: And one can look at that and say, okay, well,
- 45:18Speaker 3: this is ambition driven. This is ego driven, like you
- 45:21Speaker 3: want to keep your house alive. Even Vaymin, when you
- 45:24Speaker 3: mentioned Vaymen that I mean because I told you about that,
- 45:26Speaker 3: just the fact that I saw the palels there. It
- 45:29Speaker 3: was a little different the way Daman did it, but
- 45:31Speaker 3: it was also kind of the same where like he
- 45:34Speaker 3: was talking Vaymon.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Said about the survival of his house.
- 45:37Speaker 3: And that is also like at the end of the day,
- 45:40Speaker 3: you can say that's ambition, that's ego, but it's also legitimate.
- 45:42Speaker 3: Like at the end of the day, you do you
- 45:43Speaker 3: don't you never want your family to die? Once I'm dead,
- 45:47Speaker 3: that means there's no more Valarians, right like and that
- 45:49Speaker 3: means the dragon you know blood, the old Valeria blood
- 45:54Speaker 3: line continues without me and we don't exist no more.
- 45:56Speaker 3: Basically like that is like that is can be terrifying.
- 46:02Speaker 3: I think I want to give some credence to that.
- 46:04Speaker 3: That's terrifying that your family line is done after this
- 46:08Speaker 3: if I don't hurry up and install some more people
- 46:11Speaker 3: to continue my.
- 46:13Speaker 2: Seed, if you will.
- 46:15Speaker 3: But so in that case, I see that it's not
- 46:17Speaker 3: necessarily ambition. This is about survival. That's what Veyman says, right,
- 46:22Speaker 3: But then he takes it ten steps too far and
- 46:24Speaker 3: when he goes off in the conversation. And that's kind
- 46:27Speaker 3: of what happens with Cordla's because Corlas, Corliss and Vayment
- 46:30Speaker 3: are similar that way, where like they say their peace
- 46:32Speaker 3: and then when the person is like, well not right
- 46:34Speaker 3: now or nah, or this is not the time instead
- 46:38Speaker 3: of like okay, let's talk about another time, he gets
- 46:41Speaker 3: mad immediately and goes off like and it's like, it's
- 46:44Speaker 3: so funny because what's interesting is you're not supposed to
- 46:47Speaker 3: look at them as quote black people, Like how how
- 46:50Speaker 3: you know we are black in America? But he was
- 46:52Speaker 3: just like, well, he said, tell me what's so different
- 46:54Speaker 3: about your baskets versus my basses?
- 46:56Speaker 4: And I said, cause you a nigga.
- 46:58Speaker 3: And I said that from a common perspective. I know
- 47:01Speaker 3: that's not really the reason, but it's just interesting when
- 47:05Speaker 3: you see like the level of awkwardness, like when they
- 47:07Speaker 3: sit when they're sitting in the in the dinner Corliss,
- 47:11Speaker 3: Adam Allen and RAYNERA and he's talking, he's he's prepping
- 47:15Speaker 3: Rayner like.
- 47:16Speaker 4: Hey, I'm about to ask you to legitimize them. This
- 47:18Speaker 4: is all I got.
- 47:19Speaker 2: And she's like, uh yeah, I see the resemblance.
- 47:21Speaker 3: Like it's just the funniest ridiculous things that are happening.
- 47:27Speaker 3: But it comes to kind of what you're saying, port
- 47:29Speaker 3: It kind of comes down to but right now, when
- 47:32Speaker 3: you know, like shit is like we're not even on
- 47:34Speaker 3: solid foundation anywhere within this presidency.
- 47:37Speaker 4: Right We're not.
- 47:38Speaker 3: There is no solid an this administration. Thank you, that's
- 47:41Speaker 3: a better association.
- 47:43Speaker 2: But then to miss.
- 47:43Speaker 4: Sure, there's no solid footing and now you want this done.
- 47:46Speaker 3: But is this because you was running your mouth to
- 47:48Speaker 3: Alan and Adam talking about oh, I'm about to make
- 47:50Speaker 3: y'all in my ears?
- 47:51Speaker 2: Like is it because you're trying to cover yourself?
- 47:54Speaker 5: Right? Yes?
- 47:55Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's why I'm saying it's too school the door.
- 47:57Speaker 3: It's like, yeah, there's the ambition and the ego driven
- 48:00Speaker 3: you're trying to cover yourself. And also there is a
- 48:02Speaker 3: true survival component to this, like yes, at the end
- 48:05Speaker 3: of the day, the house of Valarian, but even though
- 48:07Speaker 3: he has granddaughters, but they're not they're not Valarian. My
- 48:10Speaker 3: name Careians. You know what I'm saying, At the end
- 48:12Speaker 3: of the day, does this mean you continue? And I
- 48:14Speaker 3: don't even know what happened in the books and what
- 48:16Speaker 3: happens with that household?
- 48:17Speaker 5: And well, I just had a real Debbie Downer moment
- 48:21Speaker 5: right there when I was thinking about it, And you
- 48:23Speaker 5: don't have to know what happens in the books, because
- 48:25Speaker 5: I just realized that there's a in Dame of Thrones
- 48:28Speaker 5: Valerians was not mentioned. You know, it's all about the
- 48:31Speaker 5: Targarians and then the dragon.
- 48:33Speaker 4: They were a high house yeah, and the drag still like,
- 48:36Speaker 4: here's a couple of different things that came to my mind,
- 48:38Speaker 4: and I didn't want to like talkoven for you, So.
- 48:41Speaker 5: Now I'm done. Yeah, that's I mean basically the Valerians. Yeah,
- 48:44Speaker 5: I do not see his aspirations coming true.
- 48:47Speaker 4: We have Yeah, we have evidence of it in Game
- 48:49Speaker 4: of Thrones what happens the house is Hilarian.
- 48:53Speaker 1: I will say that two things that came to mind
- 48:55Speaker 1: were one.
- 48:59Speaker 4: This is also all evidence of Corlis not really being
- 49:04Speaker 4: well thought politically, because like he really all he has
- 49:10Speaker 4: to do if he's promised his sons that then do
- 49:13Speaker 4: what you need to do behind the scenes, and then
- 49:15Speaker 4: bring them to the dinner when the matter is done.
- 49:18Speaker 4: Like when you're like this is just kind of like
- 49:20Speaker 4: a like a this is all formal. We're just gonna
- 49:24Speaker 4: like you're gonna be in front of the Queen. She's
- 49:25Speaker 4: gonna say a couple of things to you. But just
- 49:27Speaker 4: know that you're already done, is already checked through. Why
- 49:29Speaker 4: have them at the dinner when you're still negotiating, Like
- 49:32Speaker 4: if you're trying to come off with this facade of
- 49:33Speaker 4: like you not covered, you're trying to legitimize them then like,
- 49:36Speaker 4: why bring them into the negotiation.
- 49:39Speaker 1: Why not bring them in when the deed is done.
- 49:41Speaker 1: That's just not that's poor planning on his side.
- 49:44Speaker 4: Secondly, how much of it do you think is like
- 49:47Speaker 4: the whole Basetard's component, How much of it do you
- 49:49Speaker 4: think it's corless sitting here on some I you owe
- 49:53Speaker 4: me because Ray nice and I never called you out
- 49:58Speaker 4: on not having our son's kid.
- 50:00Speaker 5: Yeah, we.
- 50:03Speaker 4: Tried and didn't work out. He lets y'all claim that
- 50:06Speaker 4: those were from my son, that we always knew they
- 50:11Speaker 4: weren't my son's kids and it was gay so me right.
- 50:16Speaker 4: But in his reign, he's playing you owe me, yeah,
- 50:19Speaker 4: bastard or bastard, And it's like, but does she Well.
- 50:23Speaker 5: He's saying, you owe me for a lot of things,
- 50:25Speaker 5: like a lot of things, and he blames her for
- 50:28Speaker 5: he blames her for reniece dying, like he blames her brother,
- 50:32Speaker 5: his brother get in his head chopped, all this stuff.
- 50:35Speaker 5: But it's also in defense of, you know, this bastardization.
- 50:41Speaker 5: So that's what he's saying. He's like, look, my whole
- 50:44Speaker 5: family has been defending you, and we all died for it.
- 50:47Speaker 2: Of course.
- 50:48Speaker 3: But and the other argument is about like when he said, well,
- 50:50Speaker 3: what's so different about my basket for your your bastards, Well,
- 50:53Speaker 3: the nearest bastards, Like remember Lena and her actually tried
- 50:56Speaker 3: even though everyone knew what the deal was. They tried
- 50:58Speaker 3: and didn't work out because of reasons, the obvious reasons.
- 51:03Speaker 4: Corla's you just cheated on your wife. Your basters were
- 51:07Speaker 4: just because you cheated and you didn't want to You
- 51:09Speaker 4: didn't want to claim them.
- 51:10Speaker 2: So you was kind of deadbeat.
- 51:12Speaker 5: That's that's my thing.
- 51:13Speaker 2: He was until you until you had no choice.
- 51:15Speaker 5: That's my That's my thing with Corla's that far. I say,
- 51:18Speaker 5: you know, he's not the best terracer because he only
- 51:21Speaker 5: is doing this now when he's forced, when his hand
- 51:25Speaker 5: is forced to do this. He would have never legitimized
- 51:28Speaker 5: these kids if he still had some other option.
- 51:31Speaker 3: I mean, remember he named loose so as the as
- 51:34Speaker 3: his heir. So if loose was still if he didn't
- 51:36Speaker 3: become unfortunately dragon food, we wouldn't be having this conversation, right.
- 51:42Speaker 1: I kind of believe that Alan.
- 51:46Speaker 4: Is older than leonor was, Like he was trying to
- 51:49Speaker 4: say that, like he half of his sons before he
- 51:51Speaker 4: got with the ringis itdam is too young for that
- 51:54Speaker 4: to be true, but Alan could be older than Leanor was.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Because you're saying that relation is legit Targerians. So what
- 52:01Speaker 1: I'm saying is I could see that he.
- 52:07Speaker 4: Was with this woman before Raymie's tried to wanted to
- 52:10Speaker 4: carry political favor, and when it was able to court,
- 52:13Speaker 4: Raymie successfully become like part of the Tigerian dynasty. And
- 52:17Speaker 4: now that that's all whatever, he's trying to use it
- 52:19Speaker 4: to legitimize his kids. It doesn't differ like he was
- 52:22Speaker 4: a deadbeat the whole way through. But I could see
- 52:24Speaker 4: him like looking at it all as if he.
- 52:30Speaker 1: Is just making good on something he had started before whatever.
- 52:34Speaker 4: But like why does it necessitate like bringing other people
- 52:36Speaker 4: into it?
- 52:37Speaker 3: Like I don't know, I just feel like, I mean,
- 52:39Speaker 3: this conflict that we're feeling is the same conflict Rain
- 52:41Speaker 3: Ever feels because when they're when they another funny moment
- 52:44Speaker 3: when Damon is knighting with Adam, Hew and Olf and well,
- 52:49Speaker 3: first of all, she o' got some damn nerve. She's like,
- 52:53Speaker 3: and I had to think about him, and they was like, well,
- 52:54Speaker 3: how do you fashion yourself? How do you style yourself?
- 52:56Speaker 3: They're talking about like what what's your what's your nighted name,
- 52:59Speaker 3: what's your house? Your house off talking about Targary and
- 53:02Speaker 3: she said, fuck no, so all of the white Hugh
- 53:07Speaker 3: Hugh of Hammah and then Adam, she looks, knowing what,
- 53:10Speaker 3: knowing what Corliss asked her, She goes, Adam, of.
- 53:13Speaker 4: The whole right, and then you know, Adam.
- 53:16Speaker 3: I looked at her like, okay, that's not what you
- 53:18Speaker 3: said at dinner, but okay, well didn't say shit at dinner.
- 53:20Speaker 3: She just kind of just nodded and was like, okay,
- 53:23Speaker 3: Like whatever you said, carlss.
- 53:24Speaker 5: I gotta ask what does when he says of the white?
- 53:28Speaker 5: What does that mean?
- 53:29Speaker 3: Just said the word why? Like Alf didn't know what
- 53:32Speaker 3: to say. He really don't don't get that Targarian name.
- 53:36Speaker 5: Yeah, because we're.
- 53:37Speaker 4: Already seeing we see greens and blacks, right, Greens are
- 53:42Speaker 4: the high towers Targarians. We had the blacks just the
- 53:44Speaker 4: ring nearer Targarians white.
- 53:48Speaker 1: Huh.
- 53:48Speaker 2: I was thinking about the color white, what it means?
- 53:50Speaker 4: Go ahead, sorry, yeah, we're gonna see after.
- 53:54Speaker 1: This is not the end of dragons. Like I said,
- 53:56Speaker 1: I've mentioned this before.
- 53:58Speaker 4: Dragons we don't see as new dragons at like literal
- 54:01Speaker 4: actual dragons and alive in this world, Like this is
- 54:06Speaker 4: the most dragons will ever see in this world. But
- 54:10Speaker 4: there's still enough dragons between now and Duck and Egg
- 54:16Speaker 4: and there are there's talking about rulership, so it's trying
- 54:22Speaker 4: to be there's another.
- 54:24Speaker 1: King that comes who creates a.
- 54:28Speaker 4: Whole battle around the bloodlines and bastards, and some of
- 54:32Speaker 4: them take up different colors.
- 54:36Speaker 3: Because I was gonna say, what did the white could represent?
- 54:39Speaker 3: I mean, cowardice, but it also represents I mean, it's
- 54:44Speaker 3: not taken aside. Really, you just are able to just
- 54:46Speaker 3: color yourself whoever you think, because because because Off is
- 54:49Speaker 3: an opportunists too. So when he said that, I was
- 54:52Speaker 3: also thinking that he's just neutral. Yeah, like he's just
- 54:55Speaker 3: gonna take on whatever I was saying. It doesn't mean
- 54:59Speaker 3: pure especial, not in his case, so.
- 55:01Speaker 1: I think it's funny.
- 55:02Speaker 4: I thought it was like because like, so he can't
- 55:04Speaker 4: claim Targarian, but he can claim targarian hair color or something.
- 55:07Speaker 5: So he's gonna go with white.
- 55:10Speaker 1: That's a good one too.
- 55:11Speaker 5: Yeah. Also him dodging the blade when Damon is trying
- 55:15Speaker 5: to knight him, it was hilarious.
- 55:17Speaker 4: But he was like he's almost a cowardice like the man.
- 55:22Speaker 4: The man is not honorable, like like how Hugh at
- 55:25Speaker 4: least gives off honor, right, like off gives off like sniveling.
- 55:29Speaker 4: I got my you know, I fell into this and
- 55:31Speaker 4: I got lucky, which he did.
- 55:34Speaker 5: Hugh gives off honor. But also problematic.
- 55:39Speaker 4: All of them is problematic and something maybe it's is Adam.
- 55:42Speaker 1: But what is Hugh honoring? I think that's my question
- 55:44Speaker 1: because like, yeah, what is he honoring?
- 55:46Speaker 4: I mean, he was honoring.
- 55:48Speaker 3: He was trying to his family, his wife until he
- 55:50Speaker 3: found out his wife went to the cousin's house and
- 55:52Speaker 3: was like, there's nothing for me here.
- 55:54Speaker 4: So so that's that's a question that he had that
- 55:57Speaker 4: door on him. Yeah, for Adam, we know Adam, but
- 56:02Speaker 4: who he honored.
- 56:03Speaker 1: He's like, he's actually for the cause.
- 56:05Speaker 4: So oh yeah, the only president was really down for
- 56:09Speaker 4: the family for real, is Adam? We know?
- 56:11Speaker 1: That's how I feel.
- 56:12Speaker 5: Yeah, he was definitely not.
- 56:13Speaker 4: No, no, But I'm talking.
- 56:15Speaker 3: About in terms of if you look all three of them, forget, okay,
- 56:18Speaker 3: take Adam out Hugh, but versus Off, who would at
- 56:20Speaker 3: least outwardly look more quote honorable And it ain't.
- 56:23Speaker 5: Gonna say, oh no, but I'm yeah, but outwardly does
- 56:27Speaker 5: not help in this situation.
- 56:28Speaker 4: I trust him, if you are, Ray trusts other than them,
- 56:31Speaker 4: but they both are on dragons.
- 56:33Speaker 5: Yeah, and that's the problem.
- 56:35Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's that's a huge and the most cowardly
- 56:38Speaker 4: one is the biggest, and.
- 56:39Speaker 3: The most cowardy on is one of the one of
- 56:41Speaker 3: the biggest, right right, right, So one we got to
- 56:45Speaker 3: get really also into the green side of things, because
- 56:48Speaker 3: you know, we didn't really talk about you know, Allison,
- 56:50Speaker 3: we didn't even talk about Ormond first of all, her
- 56:52Speaker 3: cousin and that whole situation with Darren. Quote Darren, first
- 56:59Speaker 3: of all, did.
- 57:00Speaker 2: Y'all big something was up in the beginning.
- 57:02Speaker 3: I thought something was up in the beginning the way
- 57:05Speaker 3: Ormond to me, he he he submitted too easy now, yes,
- 57:09Speaker 3: he he, He talked to talk. He said, well, you know,
- 57:12Speaker 3: I don't really want to give up, but I'm gonna
- 57:14Speaker 3: give up.
- 57:14Speaker 4: He was too calm for me, like I know.
- 57:17Speaker 3: And that was a and you mentioned it, Ben, that
- 57:19Speaker 3: was a fire scene with the camera coming down and
- 57:22Speaker 3: Damon chilling with the three dragons behind that shit is cold,
- 57:26Speaker 3: cold and you.
- 57:26Speaker 4: Got the three dragons.
- 57:27Speaker 3: Meanwhile, you got this huge army that really don't mean
- 57:29Speaker 3: shit against three dragons, but he was still even one
- 57:33Speaker 3: little dragon rite even still, I just felt something was off.
- 57:37Speaker 3: I didn't know about the whole fake Dame dar anything,
- 57:39Speaker 3: but I did think something was off with the way
- 57:41Speaker 3: armand because because he's too he's smart, I didn't but
- 57:48Speaker 3: I forget he's a high tower right. The way he
- 57:50Speaker 3: was just like it just seemed a little fake to me.
- 57:52Speaker 3: He was just like, well, you know, okay, well I
- 57:54Speaker 3: guess I've been to the knee, Like I don't see
- 57:57Speaker 3: you giving up that easy. And it was something off
- 58:00Speaker 3: about the way he gave up that easy and then
- 58:02Speaker 3: giving Darren away, and then like there were questions about,
- 58:05Speaker 3: well why didn't Damon take the dragon? I think it
- 58:08Speaker 3: kind of didn't matter, right, Like if the dragon is
- 58:09Speaker 3: separated from his rider, what's.
- 58:11Speaker 4: The dragon gonna do?
- 58:12Speaker 5: Mm hmm.
- 58:13Speaker 3: So I don't I don't know if that even mattered,
- 58:15Speaker 3: but the fact of how it was done and it
- 58:17Speaker 3: just seemed mad easy. Now again, you could argue, well,
- 58:19Speaker 3: there's three dragons, so what the fuck else are you
- 58:21Speaker 3: gonna do but surrender?
- 58:22Speaker 4: But I'm also just like I don't know. It just
- 58:25Speaker 4: something was something was.
- 58:26Speaker 5: Been right that That was the one question I did
- 58:28Speaker 5: have because it felt weird that you know that Darren
- 58:30Speaker 5: would and rode his dragging back with them.
- 58:33Speaker 3: But can you how you're gonna control the dragon? Like
- 58:35Speaker 3: if if Darren did get on and fly they everywhere. Yeah,
- 58:39Speaker 3: they could fly anywhere, So that'd.
- 58:41Speaker 4: Be a dragon battle though, like you would that would
- 58:43Speaker 4: mean either huge this guy like gonna take him out. Okay,
- 58:47Speaker 4: let's let's but here's another thing too. So as I
- 58:50Speaker 4: remember in the books, it doesn't happened this way. In
- 58:52Speaker 4: the books, there's a battle. Maybe I'm misremembering. Maybe the
- 58:55Speaker 4: battle is later and this does happen, But I do
- 58:57Speaker 4: not remember Darren.
- 58:58Speaker 1: Ever making get to kings standing. So this is a
- 59:04Speaker 1: little bit of playing with the source material that I'm like,
- 59:10Speaker 1: I can't.
- 59:11Speaker 4: I can say that I know for sure what's going
- 59:14Speaker 4: to happen with the fate of a person is, but
- 59:16Speaker 4: I don't know for sure how they're remixing it for
- 59:19Speaker 4: the show. But I do want to say that just
- 59:24Speaker 4: because a targarian dyes their hair doesn't mean that they're
- 59:28Speaker 4: not a targarian, because sometimes they just like we're nearest
- 59:34Speaker 4: looking for legitimacy from other people or whatever.
- 59:37Speaker 1: Sometimes Targarians aren't born.
- 59:40Speaker 4: Like let me see, and they could have if they
- 59:45Speaker 4: wanted to, they could have started dyeing their hair to
- 59:47Speaker 4: try to like feel like, try to cover up.
- 59:50Speaker 1: The fact they were bastards if they really good.
- 59:52Speaker 3: Look like ry Nea looked at that boy's hair, like, well,
- 59:54Speaker 3: where the hell does this die come from?
- 59:56Speaker 4: Like she like that, She was like, this is a
- 59:58Speaker 4: good fucking job.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: I don't know if she knew about.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: That, but I mean, because she's always she's born with it.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: She's mabeling.
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: But like the actual like the people who have had
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: to like try to cover up, like who are trying
- 1:00:12Speaker 4: to because she because what.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: Are they going to do? She's nearer?
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: Like they everyone knows she's her father issue they were
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: were they going to actually say something to her face?
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: They did, and what happened?
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: They still she still had her kids as vigitimate heirs.
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: We usually see that that happen people hiding that they're
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: of Tigerian.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: But like when we see Dunk and we see Egg
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: that when.
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: The Tigerians have less like political power because the Danarius
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: and the like Danaris and like people like that era,
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: they needed to like hide out to not get killed, because.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: That was all all he remember.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: We were we were saying, like his father is.
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: He didn't want to be known as he didn't want
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: to be known.
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: As a tan or especially her Nieces. She's always around
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: the time, like were you gonna we're gonna actually have
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: white hair about nie is moving about No, this is fact.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: So Rainie was not about that, like she was not
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: having that ship.
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: Well, all that said, like Ormond played his hand well
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: and he played the ship out of nearing them, and
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: the fact that nobody understands what his plan is. I
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: think that's some that's some crazy. That's the craziest about
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: that's about Tower school of thought right why that's also
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: like I think people were like people in the were
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: speculating that whenever Allison sent the note to him. I
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: think that episode wonders too, where like she was saying
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: don't come here, like Agon needs you to do this
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: instead or whatever, when she was keeping everybody away away.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: From like King's landing.
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: They he had he has he makes a smirk like
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: he reads it and he smirks at it. People were
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: speculating that what he was smirking at was that it
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: was actually intercepted by Amon and Amon had written him
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: but what to do or whatever, and.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: That was not Allison's letter. I never believed that.
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: I always believe that it was Allison's letter. But I
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: believe that he knows his sister enough. He knows like
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: how she was trained to move by their father in
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: the court or whatever, to know that he shouldn't trust
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: whatever he.
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: Just got as an orman is Alison's brother or cousin cousin?
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: Now just want no, no, no, I don't know the fucking
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: but because some.
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: Of them, yeah, because I'm not trying to remember cousin,
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: they say cousin.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: Yeah, Otto ran like could be brought a cousin. Otto
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: was a second son, That's what it is. I'm like,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: where is it?
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: So he cannot because he was a second son, He
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: cannot ever inherit the high Tower lands and power. But
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: he was always brought up up under the high Tower
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: lands and power. So he used that to his benefit,
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: got real close with Visaris, and then tried to become
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: bigger than his house by having his daughter become queen.
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: But all the high towers are political movers, so and
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: they're used to.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: Having a lot of money to do whatever they want
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: to do.
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: Right, they're like the Ogi, They're og Leonister's the Leonards
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: is trying to get like them basically, right except for
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: at least now right now, like Allison don't have the
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: power no more.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: But she was never going to. She's the daughter of
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: a second son.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: That too.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: But you know how, like how we talked about earlier,
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: about like the truth that she had been ruling behind
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: the scenes too, like when when Viciri's was was when
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: Vizceiris was sick, for example, like even though people didn't
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: know the truth, the truth that she was making a
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: lot of decisions.
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: She was in the back rooms with the small council
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: making sure.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: Shit was done.
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: Even Raynier asked her for like on a on a
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: slick Raniera asked her for advice.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: She's like, well, she says that much.
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: She says, well, when you were with my dad, you
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: was kind of ruling, wasn't you.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Because Rainiera don't know what the hell she's doing.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Remember you don't like remember seasons season in the one
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: season two.
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: Like the high coustle would look at her because of
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: course it was or that she had power when her
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: son was in the seat, when Aigon was in the seat,
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: then when her, when Vassarius was there, because a small council,
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: even whenever Visarius was incapacitated, Like they were like, we
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: don't know if we believe you that this is coming
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: from vices, but like we don't have any other We
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: have no right now, and we can't really push back,
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: like your your father is here, so we can't really
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: we don't really have the means to push back in
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: a way that like correct cool. So like it was
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: never really Alison. It was always because she's like, oh
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: who man, they were never really listening to her.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: Well, I'm not really talking about whether they were listening.
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: I was talking about the fact that she was still
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: making decisions behind the scenes, like she was still had
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: some experience and in trying to govern right and trying
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: to like at the end of the day, remember Allison
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: was still as you just said about the High Tower.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: She was still moving and doing slick shit this entire
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: time while she had some subblance of power or influence
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: or or or thoughts of power, if you will. If
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: she didn't have the real power, she has some type
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: of soft power. So she was getting shit done behind
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: the scenes in some way, shape or form. And that's
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: all I'm saying, Like she does have that experience in
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: that way, whereas Rania has constantly since she was young
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: battled against these men and these people who wouldn't let
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: never let her have say it, wouldn't even let her
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: in the room, right, Like, that's all I'm saying.
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: I would argue that Rania had more experience with the
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: small I think she has a bias on Allison's power
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: because she had more power and influence when her father
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: was around on the Small Council than Allison has had
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: because she's interacted with it, Like when her father was
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: treating her like air, the Small Council.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: Was actually like he made like he made.
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: It the environment such that the Small Council was actually
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: listening to ray neerest of if you recall back to
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: some of those episodes.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: It was only.
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: That's why I think that she thinks that Allison has
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: more power than she actually has, because she she's used
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: to the Small Counsel listening to her in a certain
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: way when she was a child or whatever, So like,
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: why would Allison have the same thing as queen That
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: doesn't work that way, But she doesn't know that.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: She hasn't seen it play out that way.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: That's fair, And we didn't even do even I'm just
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: just more on the green stuff, like besides that house
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: being like stricken down basically, Oh and this whole thing
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: about Ormonds. What Ormond ends up doing, which is seizing
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: Tumbleton mm hmm and putting all the and basically capturing
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: the entire fucking city and and having that dragon in hand,
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: Like what is the plan? Because I'm kind of like near, like, well,
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: what the fuck is supposed to happen next?
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: You know, you're already fucking knows. We know the answer.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: What do you dragons do? Burns?
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: Shit, get and get bigger?
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: Because that dragon keeper comes in and it's like I
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: was the only one who got out.
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: So what is RAINI were supposed to do? Is my question?
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: And it's a question, a real question. I'm not being physicians.
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: Oh no, what is she supposed to do?
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: Shit? I can't tell you because what do you mean?
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: What is she supposed to do?
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: What should she do? Is she supposed to send somebody?
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: Are they supposed to go get Tumblton back?
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: Are they? Does she know?
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: Like, what's happened next? She knows there is a fake.
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: She knows that dragon is there. He captured the whole
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: town of Tumbleton, who Tumbleton was loyalty and near.
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: So, like, what's supposed to happen next? I'm asking the.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: Question because I don't know what's supposed to happen next.
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: Just like she asked a small caustle for advice, I'm
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: asking my small coustle for advice. What's supposed to happen?
- 1:07:27Speaker 5: She gotta get her whisperer on it. She's gonna have
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: to infiltrate the town, just like the town was already
- 1:07:32Speaker 5: infiltrated because she can't do what she wants to do
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: and just doing there and burn that shit down.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: One's part of the books. Don't look it up though.
- 1:07:40Speaker 5: Yeah. And then the other side of it is that
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: Darren Darien is bigger than this kid, like the one
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: they showed the fate Darien is not, you know, She's like, oh,
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: I expected him to be larger because he should have been.
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: Like so this is like he might have a little dragon,
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: but he still got a dragon. That's someone who's dragon.
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: Yeah, and so Darren, what does real Darren looks like?
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: Do you have like black hair or dark hair. I
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: don't really haven't even seen the nigga. I'm like Allison,
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: I ain't seen my own son in five years.
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: So I don't know they sent him away. I don't know.
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: Damn, that's wild, And like I said, that was a
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: real question.
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: I'm kind of just at a loss, So, like, what
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: what's supposed to happen now on top of top of
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: trying to stabilize King's Landing assassinations.
- 1:08:25Speaker 4: I think it's interesting that, like there's a lot of
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: foreshadowing that's been happening in the past episodes. I think
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: when we saw them mess up Corliss's like treasury basically
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: like in the last one, and then we know that
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: they don't have any treasury when they're going to come
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: to King's Landing, like there's like no money.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: That was foreshadowing.
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: There's like this how this cause lacks funds and what
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: they did have access to has now been insufficient funds.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: You ain't got no money.
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: And I think it happened the shadow foreshadow again here
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: where Allison says that no one knows what Agon looks like.
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: His face is burnt. People like are not looking for
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: him like that because they don't. They don't even know
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: he look like in the first place before his face
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: was burnt, so even after they don't know what they're
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: looking for right now. And then that forst shadows know
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: them not knowing what Darren looks like. And so here
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: they are with an imposter Darren. And that Darren that
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: you know is thought to be in Templeton.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Who with the real Darren? Please Fanish.
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: One of the things I did want to mention that
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: I did appreciate, like I said, she was trying to
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: do her best mom Donnie, was when Riniera did that
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: banquet for the for the rich in the city, and
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: I knew she was gonna do that shit with the rets.
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: I just knew that she was gonna happen, because first
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: of all, there's too many of these little biggests, so
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: they got to clean this up somewhere or another. But
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: I did appreciate that once she was told that, and
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: that this could have been all Massari's idea, But once
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: she was told that, you know, the small was starving
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: and that's because the rich folk was hoarding all the
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: food and the wealth and all that stuff, that she
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: basically she said, I'm gonna serve y'all the same shit
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: that you these people had to eat, And it was
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: just funny to me how like they still didn't get
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: it even in the moment, Like Man's was like, oh
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: so you know, oh so because she was like, oh,
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: you know, when people didn't have nothing, they had to
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: defend for themselves and it probably was eating rats too.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: He was like, so we were supposed to do the
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: same thing.
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: Yes, nigga, Like like yes, Like it's just it's just
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: again that the aristocracy of it all. Just the fact
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: that oh, I'm supposed to stoop to these levels, are
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: I'm supposed to help.
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: People like that would never come into play in their minds.
- 1:10:39Speaker 5: That That was one of my favorite lines of the
- 1:10:42Speaker 5: show was the you would lie genteel in your graves.
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, yeah, you were like, can't till your graves
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: before doing whatever it takes to feed your children?
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:10:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: I loved the whole thing.
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: I loved the whole scene. I loved how I loved it.
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: I love how it's like a this this is discourse
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: on what's happening in the world, and like how it's
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: always been and how it's been how as long as
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: we've known it to be and we'll see what happens.
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: There's a couple of different things that are happening here.
- 1:11:12Speaker 4: The woman who speaks up is Lady Joanna from House Lanister.
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: When Rainier is like where's the money at? She's the
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: one who would know where the money's at. And the
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: fact that like they all look healthy enough, none of
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: them are. Then they're all feeding off of storages of
- 1:11:30Speaker 4: food that the small folk have pulled and labored for
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: and they have just been sitting and eating it. Like
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: that's where the storage of food comes from. You're not
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: even giving people the fruits of their own labors. You're
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: not even giving them like even this smission of that
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: just to act like you are like at least being
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: like beneficent and being like, well, we know you've worked
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: for this, Like let us like share a portion of
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: this with you.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: No, they're just been all story like been like hoarding
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: it for themselves. So like Rainier doing this, like I
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: love that. Like you know, she people and her small
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: counsel kind of like you know, joke with.
- 1:12:04Speaker 4: Her about it, but like it was a real move,
- 1:12:07Speaker 4: a good move for her because she and she needed
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: to make it to make a potical point to show,
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: so the high houses like what they need to expect
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: when it came to her, and like, especially like Lanister,
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: a couple of the other houses were openly against their lanister.
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: Both of the sons are gone and that's why Joanna
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: is there because Damon kills one.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: And then the Starks killed the other.
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: So it's like, oh, actually no, Damon's cause kills one
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: with and then the on the ship the pirate. Yeah,
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: So like that's why the Lanisters don't have any e
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: mail representatives right now because that they.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: Chose the wrong cause. They said it with the wrong cause.
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: And if you consider the Lanister who made the deal,
- 1:12:47Speaker 4: because they're twins, he is semester of coin for the
- 1:12:50Speaker 4: Greens and the Greeks. Wasn't looking that money like that.
- 1:12:53Speaker 4: He was like, I don't know how we're gonna do this.
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: We go, but we're gonna be able to pay y'all
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: back or whatever. Like he was kind of like on
- 1:12:58Speaker 4: loan with the pirates. So like that's why the pirates
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: are kind of like coming in and doing their worst
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: in west Roads because they're like we were we were
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: told we were gonna get some pay in compensation for
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: doing this stuff. We're gonna just take it. So that's
- 1:13:12Speaker 4: what's happening there, and also so it's whatever. But I
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: also want to say that Manderly stopping her at the
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: end of the dinner and having his druggets.
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: Oh yeah, no, no, he wasn't really. I'm just saying
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: the way he was acting is he though.
- 1:13:31Speaker 4: That's gonna have some tones later and she could be
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: savvy about it. We'll just see what happens, but that
- 1:13:37Speaker 4: that doesn't mean something.
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: M And before we go, just the last major issue
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: that's going to continue to get into play is this
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: whole Massaria versus Damon thing with Masaria being her basically
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: her kind of right in r near his ear, and
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: you also have Damon and ra near his ear, and
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: Raniera trying to balance the two schools of thought, like
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: you have the Massaria who is you know, moving on.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: A political wave and in both political.
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: In many senses, but Massaria more on the cunning political
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: wave when she's you know, she's the one telling uh
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: rannier A, you know, go for the small folk, like
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: pull up your base first, you know, do all this stuff,
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: do the giveaways and all this other stuff for your people,
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: and you know, make them see that you're a servant
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: of the people. You know, you're not just their ruler, right,
- 1:14:20Speaker 3: and also like, you know you have that sexual relationship
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: too between I think you know, we forget about that.
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: Then you also have Damon on the other side, who
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: is like, you need to conquer it and tell all
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: your world you need to do it now, right, And
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: she's looking at him like, well, first, I didn't even
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: get my footing here. I'm trying to do this first,
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: and then we can move on. And he's kind of
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: like whatever, nigga, Like he's like, we got to move now. Again,
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: he's super locked in and he's like, let's move while
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: we got the momentum. But those are those two opposing
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: trains of thought, and obviously that's her consort, right. So
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: I think we're gonna get a lot of back and
- 1:14:51Speaker 3: forth with Massaria and Damon, and how that will affect
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: the nearest decision making may come into play at least
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: in the show.
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: I think Rainier looked at Damon that way because she
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: it was like, to me, it gave now I know
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: why my dad, And she says she mentions her father
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: in responds to him him, now I know why my
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: dad never puts you in a.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: Higher position because he stuck.
- 1:15:18Speaker 4: On this idea of conquest, and like if he were
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: on some aggon the conqueror shit, then like he could
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: just like go on, take that on.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: But what he's.
- 1:15:28Speaker 4: Failing to see is that the doom of old Valeria,
- 1:15:31Speaker 4: which is what caused the Targerians. Like one of the
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: Targarians had a dream, one of the sisters, and she
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: realized that like something bad was gonna come if they
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: said in Valeria, so they needed to go.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: That's when they came over to King's landing. We came
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: over to the Dragonstone.
- 1:15:45Speaker 4: They already had a house in Dragonstone and then they
- 1:15:47Speaker 4: like pulled their planes together and then conquered and created
- 1:15:50Speaker 4: the seven Kingdoms out of the like the one shared
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: West Ros instead of the all multiple different kingdoms that
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: used to exist in west Ros. There's a reason why
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: they chose to conquer and create one nation rather than
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: keep their place in Dragonstone and then bounce around different
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: countries around the world trying to conquer stuff. And a
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: lot of that has to do with we don't know
- 1:16:18Speaker 4: exactly what went wrong with where they're from. Besides the
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: fact that like their whole civilizations of like multiple generations
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: and civilizations are gone. There's like just rock that's left
- 1:16:28Speaker 4: there now, and there used to be all dragon Land.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: It's all gone.
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: We know that the idea of just continuing to get conquests, though,
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: is not going to be good.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: For Dragon writers, as Valeria kind of its testament to.
- 1:16:45Speaker 4: So it's very foolish for Damon to be like, there's
- 1:16:49Speaker 4: so many places we could go, there's any places we
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: could conquer, there's any things we could do.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: Why do you think Agone decided to be over here?
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: What are you doing that's so smart?
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: That's going to be better than why they came over
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: here in the first place. And if you can't, like,
- 1:17:05Speaker 4: what it sounds like is that he's afraid. He knows
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: that he's not up to task for actually governing the stuff,
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: so he'd rather we do think he's good at, which
- 1:17:14Speaker 4: is running around with is like gun out with his
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: sword flying and blastom stuff than actually doing the nitty
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: gritty of making sure that the power that ray Neeron
- 1:17:25Speaker 4: needs to have to be a good ruler actually comes together,
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: because that's the work that he does not want to do.
- 1:17:31Speaker 4: And like that's fine if that's what, not what he
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: wants to do, but own that he And also I
- 1:17:37Speaker 4: think it's interesting that the dream that he's taken of
- 1:17:39Speaker 4: the nearest is putting him of the mind that that
- 1:17:43Speaker 4: comes from them conquering rather than like wester Roast being I.
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: Think, Okay, well the Dame is fucking crazy, bro.
- 1:17:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, yeah, they all little are Yeah, they're
- 1:17:56Speaker 4: all in bred.
- 1:17:57Speaker 5: No one last thing that I you know, just interesting.
- 1:18:00Speaker 5: But I really like the mention of the Utaie. I know,
- 1:18:04Speaker 5: it's like the Asian et Yat and the place where
- 1:18:08Speaker 5: the men have wings, which were Yeah, that sounds cool,
- 1:18:12Speaker 5: but that's in the books.
- 1:18:15Speaker 4: There's rumors of places no one actually like no one
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: in the actual Targerian west ROAs like they ever really
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: do it.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: We hear.
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: Tyrian Lenister talk about how his one of his uncles
- 1:18:31Speaker 4: like they lost him, they don't know where he ended
- 1:18:33Speaker 4: up or whatever, but he was going on request to
- 1:18:35Speaker 4: go check out these different places.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: So like anyone who's like that's like a.
- 1:18:40Speaker 4: Kind of reoccurring idea that anyone from west Ros that
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: tends to go off on the journey to try and
- 1:18:47Speaker 4: find these like far flunk places like Pintos that's easy,
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: like where the faceless across, but even like Summer Island,
- 1:18:54Speaker 4: where where the black folks of this universe lived and
- 1:18:57Speaker 4: all that kind of stuff. Like those places they have
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: pretty like good like trade or something that they've actually
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: been around those like set up those.
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: Systems pretty well.
- 1:19:06Speaker 4: But the far far places, like people just disappear never
- 1:19:09Speaker 4: they try to go and.
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: Check them out because they don't pus. They don't come back,
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: not like you hear from them. They no ravens coming
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: back down. But I did like that too, Ben. I
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: was just like just it's just the ask the prospect
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: of in this type of environment, you know, in this
- 1:19:22Speaker 3: renfair type environment, that there's other cultures within this and
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: what they're doing over there or could be doing over there.
- 1:19:28Speaker 5: And it's always interesting too because it's like, you know,
- 1:19:30Speaker 5: we think of West Throas and you know, all this
- 1:19:34Speaker 5: dragon stuff being like everything, but there's places where they're
- 1:19:37Speaker 5: like dragons have those you know.
- 1:19:41Speaker 4: Right, well, I got this fuck a dragon right.
- 1:19:44Speaker 5: Or I mean they're just not there. But honestly, they're
- 1:19:46Speaker 5: just not thinking about it, you know, like the people
- 1:19:48Speaker 5: them ween niggas ain't thinking about these dragons like them,
- 1:19:50Speaker 5: They've never seen these niggas, like.
- 1:19:52Speaker 4: There's one place in particular that is so dark magic
- 1:19:56Speaker 4: in arcane that like if you said, like, oh yeah
- 1:19:59Speaker 4: they got dagon be like and so anyways, I just
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: had a thought and now that person's dead.
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: Damn all right, Well I think that's everything. When it
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: comes to episode three again, title Rainier a triumphant and
- 1:20:18Speaker 3: I don't know what she was. Triumphant open, it's accomplished,
