State of Jackson: Why are we seeing the measles outbreak now?
Five measles cases so far this year are the first seen in Teton County in decades. The outbreak is concentrated in a communal living center for workers at a tourist concession in Grand Teton National Park. It comes amidst a national 35-year high for the highly contagious, sometimes lethal disease. Teton County Public Health Director Dr. Travis Riddell joins cohost Pete Muldoon to talk about how to protect yourself and why a fabricated association between the measles vaccine and autism 30 years ago could be one reason for the spread we’re seeing now.
