- 1:09Allowing them to monetize targeted video inventory at
- 1:13scale and cash in on live moments like, viral clips from
- 1:17an award show or from a football game.
- 1:19And while some advertisers may be hesitant to be associated
- 1:23with Twitter due to CEO. Elon musk's leadership style,
- 1:28these media companies and sports Leagues are reaping too much
- 1:32revenue and marketing advantage to quit the platform all
- 1:35together. Now, in fact, most efforts by
- 1:38media organizations to quit Twitter have been briefed or
- 1:41non-existent even for companies and Tangled and musk's banning
- 1:45of journalists last year and for Twitter and participating
- 1:48content Partners. These deals represent, a
- 1:51significant opportunity for incremental Revenue.
- 1:54Meanwhile, for Publishers the Twitter amplify program
- 1:58represents a chance to Monetize targeted video inventory at
- 2:02scale, especially around live moments and short.
- 2:07Twitter is positioning itself as the go-to destination for
- 2:10premium content and events with a who's who of the median Sports
- 2:15world's set. The join the platform.
- 2:18The stage is set for a dramatic shift in the way that
- 2:21advertisers reach their audiences and Twitter's push
- 2:25into content. Sponsorship is a significant
- 2:28move that is poised to Shake up, the advertising industry with it
- 2:32platforms, reach and targeting capabilities.
- 2:34As the potential to provide advertisers with unparalleled
- 2:38access to audience and content. And Twitter's amplify program is
- 2:43a key component of the strategy connecting advertisers with
- 2:46premium Publishers and allowing both parties to share in the ad
- 2:50Revenue. This creates a win-win situation
- 2:54for both Twitter and its partners with Publishers able to
- 2:57monetize targeted video in vitoria scale.
- 3:00And Twitter able to provide advertisers with the most
- 3:03sought-after content and events. The list of media companies and
- 3:08sports League that have signed on for these deals reads like a
- 3:12who's who of the industry ESPN2? Fox NFL to the NBA Wall Street
- 3:18Journal to nbcu these Partners represent some of the most
- 3:22influential and Powerful players in the media and sports worlds.
- 3:27And this is not the first time that Twitter has attempted to
- 3:29break. Break into the contents pain.
- 3:31Sir, ship space in the past, the platform has struggled to gain
- 3:35traction with advertisers and Publishers remaining skeptical
- 3:39of its capabilities. However, this new push is
- 3:42different with the backing of some of the biggest names in the
- 3:45industry. Twitter has the potential to
- 3:47become a major player in the content sponsorship space and
- 3:51the potential for the strategy is huge with Twitter and its
- 3:54Partners able to monetize, targeted video inventory at
- 3:58scale and around. Events like viral clips from an
- 4:02award show or a sporting event in.
- 4:05Additionally, the platform's targeting capabilities will
- 4:08allow advertisers to reach the most relevant audiences at the
- 4:13most opportune times. And, of course, this is not
- 4:16without challenges, there's always the risk that Twitter's
- 4:19reputation for free speech. Free for all may damage the
- 4:23reputation of some Partners, furthermore of the platform's
- 4:26association with CEO, Elon Musk may put off Some advertisers
- 4:30despite the fact that most media companies and sports leagues are
- 4:35reaping too much revenue and marketing advantage to quit the
- 4:38platform. Now Twitter's push into content
- 4:41sponsorship is a bold move but one that has the potential to
- 4:44pay off in a big way with a who's who of median Sports World
- 4:48set to join the platform. This is going to be a dramatic
- 4:51shift in the way that ever ties errs reach their audiences.
- 4:55This new strategy could be a game changer for Twitter and all
- 4:58the advertising partners. It's one that's worth, keeping
- 5:01an eye on in the future in this is great news for Twitter
- 5:05because a lot of the advertisers from 2022 pulled out Twitter's
- 5:10Revenue stream is facing a major upheaval is top.
- 5:13Advertisers are cutting their spending after Elon musk's
- 5:16takeover of the platform. According to estimates, compiled
- 5:19by research. Firm path, Mattox.
- 5:22And 14 of the top 30 advertisers on Twitter, have stopped all
- 5:26advertising on the platform after musk too.
- 5:29Kovar on October 27, 20, 22, and 44 of the advertisers reduce
- 5:36their spending by between 92 percent in 98 percent 7 percent
- 5:41from the week before, musk's acquisition through the end of
- 5:44the year. And overall, advertising
- 5:46spending by the top 30 companies, fell by 42 percent to
- 5:51an estimated fifty, three point eight million dollars for
- 5:54November and December combined, despite an increase in spending
- 5:57by six of them and path. Matic said the Figures on
- 6:00Twitter advertising are estimates based on technologies
- 6:03that track ads on desktop browsers and the Twitter app as
- 6:06well as those that mimic user experience.
- 6:09However, the company said that these estimates do not account
- 6:12for deals. Advertisers may receive from
- 6:14Twitter or promoted Trends in accounts.
- 6:17It's possible that the spending data could be higher from some
- 6:20brands of Twitter is offering incentives now.
- 6:23Twitter did not respond to multiple requests for comment
- 6:27and any November event on Twitter, Witter spaces, Elon
- 6:31Musk address, the issue of companies pausing ads, he said
- 6:34that he understands if advertisers want to give it a
- 6:37minute and he added that the best way to see how things are
- 6:39evolving at. Twitter is to just use Twitter,
- 6:43not technology, Focus publication the information
- 6:47cited details shared by a top Twitter, ad exec, at a staff
- 6:51meeting on Wednesday. Reported the Twitter's, fourth
- 6:54quarter Revenue fell about 35 percent year over year due to
- 6:59Was slumping advertising, Twitter posted a loss of 270
- 7:03million dollars. In the three months, ending June
- 7:0530th, a total revenue of about one point one eight billion
- 7:10dollars now, the path Mattox estimates, show continued
- 7:14upheaval and Twitter's main Revenue stream, heading into
- 7:172023, led by a pullback, from top consumer Brands forward,
- 7:23bookings or agreements to lock. In future ads were also down for
- 7:26January and February according to research firm.
- 7:29Standard media index which did not provide more details.
- 7:34Now, Twitter is moving to reverse the advertising.
- 7:36Exodus though, it has introduced a slew of and incentives to win
- 7:41back. Advertisers offering some free
- 7:43ads lifting a ban on political advertising and allowing
- 7:47companies greater control over the positioning of the rants
- 7:50Molly Lopez. Who is an owner of an ad agency
- 7:53height. Digital Miami said, they're
- 7:55frankly really amazing incentives.
- 7:57Honestly, I've not seen that type of Senate ever, for any
- 8:01Advertiser in addition marked at Massimo founder of new,
- 8:05york-based Ad Agency Dimas, emo Goldstein, said that
- 8:10bargain-basement direct marketers and political action.
- 8:13Committees Big Spenders on meta may fill the advertising Gap.
- 8:17However it remains to be seen whether these initiatives will
- 8:21be enough to win back top advertisers who have cut their
- 8:25spending. Coca-Cola for example, halted
- 8:28spending in mid-november after purchasing an estimated one
- 8:31point 1 million dollars in Twitter ads earlier that month
- 8:35while HBO spending collapse to approximately 38,000 dollars in
- 8:40December from roughly 1.1 million dollars in November
- 8:44according to path. Mattox Hines, and Nestle Kraft,
- 8:47Heinz and Stouffer's meal. Manufacturer also stopped all
- 8:51advertising. Now, Mass retailer Target and
- 8:55department store up, Later. Cole's also skipped.
- 8:57Advertising on Twitter, on Black Friday, one of the biggest
- 9:01shopping days of the year. However some companies like
- 9:04apple and Pepsi have increased their spending with the drop in
- 9:08advertising. Spending is a major blow to
- 9:10Twitter which relies heavily on Advertising Revenue.
- 9:13In this news comes as Twitter is facing increased competition
- 9:17from other social media platform and it's struggling at this
- 9:20point Elon Musk has noted that the numbers and Twitter are
- 9:24increasing. There's Gage meant there's more
- 9:26people on that platform, but the drop in advertising.
- 9:30Spending is really a huge deal and it relies heavily on ever
- 9:36ties in Revenue. Now, there's competition from
- 9:39Facebook, there's competition from other meta, social media,
- 9:43Mastodon, Macedon doesn't seem to be a thing for the for the
- 9:48future. It seems like it's too difficult
- 9:51to get into for a lot of people and Twitter is an easy, signup
- 9:54process takes About a minute or two, the Mastodon could figure
- 9:58out how people can sign up within a few minutes.
- 10:01They could be a direct competitor to Twitter, but also
- 10:04something like, Reddit, write it as a direct competitor because
- 10:07you post things. According to the news, that
- 10:09somebody posts social media is how we all do it.
- 10:12Now, Twitter's advertising Revenue has been under pressure
- 10:16for some time. Now, to in the company has been
- 10:18working hard to find new ways to monetize.
- 10:20They've been experimenting with different revenue streams such
- 10:23as e-commerce subscriptions and Premium content.
- 10:27However these new revenue streams have not yet been able
- 10:30to replace the Lost advertising revenue from the past.
- 10:34And the loss of advertising Revenue was particularly
- 10:37troubling for Twitter because it is one of the company's main
- 10:40sources of income. And in the past, Twitter has
- 10:42been able to rely on Evert izing Revenue to fund its operations
- 10:46and invest in new features and products.
- 10:49However, now that advertising revenue is in Decline, the
- 10:52company may be forced to cut back on his Investments.
- 10:55It's and focus on cost-cutting measures in the future.
- 11:00Twitter's ad revenue is going to bounce back though, and it's
- 11:03also reflection of a broader decline in the advertising
- 11:06industry altogether. Now advertisers are increasingly
- 11:09turning to other platforms such as Google and Facebook, which
- 11:13have larger user bases and more sophisticated targeting
- 11:16capabilities. All right, so let's move on to
- 11:18some SpaceX news. The Falcon heavy rocket known
- 11:22for its aerial acrobatics and synchronized Landings
- 11:26successfully launched from Kennedy Space Center recently.
- 11:30The mission called the ussf 67 carried.
- 11:33National Security payloads for the US.
- 11:35Military marking. The fifth successful flight of
- 11:38this rocket in the Falcon heavy debuted in 2018 with much
- 11:42fanfare with SpaceX, CEO, Elon Musk attaching his personal
- 11:46Tesla Roadster as a test payload on the launch which is still in
- 11:51space and the rocket followed up with two launches in 2019 before
- 11:55taking a three-year Hiatus as a majority of spacex's missions.
- 11:59Do Not require the Falcon Heavies, increase power the
- 12:03company's Workhorse rocket, the Falcon 9.
- 12:05On the other hand launched more than 60 times in 2022 setting
- 12:09two groups of astronauts to space as well as starlink
- 12:12satellites and other spacecraft. Now SpaceX is fulfilling
- 12:16lucrative military, launched contracts assigned, for the
- 12:19Falcon heavy years ago in the rocket, return to flight in
- 12:22November, with the launch of the u.s. military's, ussf 44 Mission
- 12:27and Sundays liftoff, was a follow-up to that.
- 12:30Action, the USS F40 for Mission included.
- 12:33Six payloads on one satellite that Advanced Communications
- 12:37space weather sensing and other Technologies into near
- 12:41geosynchronous orbits and like the ussf 44.
- 12:44Mission the ussf 67 Mission. Also utilizes the same type of
- 12:49spacecraft called the ldpe, which is essentially a bus for
- 12:54outer space that can carry smaller satellites.
- 12:57Now, the Falcon heavy also carried a On satellite called
- 13:00The Continuous broadcast. Augmenting set cam for the u.s.
- 13:04space force. However additional details about
- 13:07the satellites on this Mission were not immediately available
- 13:12and after the mission the company recovered to a falcon
- 13:14Heavies, first-stage boosters which are the tall boosters on
- 13:19either side of the Falcon heavy and they strap them together to
- 13:22give the rocket. It's heightened power at liftoff
- 13:25and after expending most of the fuel, the side boosters fell
- 13:28away from a center core and Oriented themselves to slice
- 13:32back through the Earth's atmosphere as they approached
- 13:34the ground, the boosters reignited, their engines and
- 13:37completed, a synchronized landing on ground pads, near the
- 13:42Florida coastline. This is a signature move for
- 13:44SpaceX, which routinely recovers and reuses, its rockets in the
- 13:49boosters to drive down the cost of launches.
- 13:53However, SpaceX did not attempt to recover the center booster
- 13:56because of fuel requirements. While the company is not
- 13:59successful. We successfully retrieved all
- 14:01three boosters yet. It has come.
- 14:03Close the two side boosters made a pinpoint synchronize landing
- 14:07at Ground pads. After an April 2019 Mission, and
- 14:11the rocket center booster touchdown on a seafaring
- 14:14platform, but rough waves got to it and it toppled over.
- 14:20Now, for years, the Falcon heavy was the world's most powerful
- 14:23operational rocket. But in November NASA's, new moon
- 14:28rocket called the This launch system, the SLS took over that
- 14:32title with, its inaugural launch, the SLS launch the
- 14:36uncrewed Artemis. One mission around the Moon
- 14:39Paving the way for future missions with astronauts
- 14:42onboard. A despite being dethroned as the
- 14:45world's most powerful operational launch vehicle, the
- 14:48Falcon heavy still puts on a dramatic show, back on Earth
- 14:53with each launch, the company recovers and reuses, its rocket
- 14:56boosters to drive down the cost of launches is also a cost.
- 14:59Not effective solution for military launches and other
- 15:02payloads that don't require the increased power of the SLS
- 15:07rocket and the launch of the ussf. 67 mission is a
- 15:12significant step for SpaceX and the US military as it marks.
- 15:16The fifth successful Flight of the Falcon heavy and the
- 15:19continued use of the rocket for National Security payloads.
- 15:23It also highlights the company's ability to recover and reuse its
- 15:27Falcon heavy rocket boosters. Which is a crucial aspect of
- 15:31spacex's Mission to make space travel more affordable and
- 15:35sustainable. In a trial that began on
- 15:39Wednesday Tesla. CEO, Elon Musk was depicted as
- 15:42either a liar, who callously jeopardize a savings of regular
- 15:46people or well-intentioned Visionary as attorneys delivered
- 15:50opening statements. The trial is focus on two tweets
- 15:53that must post it on Twitter in August of 2018 in which he
- 15:57claimed that he had lined up the financing to take Tesla private
- 16:00at a time. When the automaker stuck with
- 16:03slumping amid production problems, the prospect of a Two
- 16:07billion dollar, buyout fueled, a rally in the company's stock
- 16:10price, said abruptly ended a week later after it, became
- 16:13apparent that he did not have the funding to pull off the
- 16:16deal. After all now, Tesla
- 16:18shareholders, then sued musk saying the Tesla shares would
- 16:22not have swung so widely in value.
- 16:25If he had not detangled the idea of buying the company for $420
- 16:31per share and is opening statement, Nicholas poor Ed, a
- 16:34lawyer representing Glenn little too.
- 16:37And other Tesla shareholders in the class action case promptly
- 16:41vilified, musk quoting. Why are we here?
- 16:44Poor? It asked quote, we are here
- 16:46because Elon Musk chairman and chief executive Tesla lied.
- 16:51His lies, cause regular people like Glenn Littleton to lose
- 16:54millions and millions of dollars.
- 16:57He also said, the must tweet also hurt Pension funds, and
- 17:00other organizations that own Tesla stock at the time.
- 17:04However, musk's lawyer Alex Spiro.
- 17:06Entered that the run-up in Tesla stock.
- 17:09After the Tweet, most of the reflected investors.
- 17:11Belief in musk's ability to pull off stunning Feats.
- 17:14Including building the world's largest electric automaker will
- 17:17also running SpaceX a maker of rocket ships quoting mr.
- 17:21Musk tries to do things that have never been done before.
- 17:25Everybody knows that Spirit told the jury and Spiro added, that
- 17:28musk had been Advanced talks with representatives, from Saudi
- 17:31Arabia's public investment fund to take Tesla private quote, he
- 17:35didn't plan to tweet this It was a split second decision and this
- 17:40is aimed at being as transparent as possible about the
- 17:43discussions with the Saudi fund about a potential deal.
- 17:46Now the first witness called to the stand was Glenn little to
- 17:49the 71 year old investor from Kansas City Missouri.
- 17:53He said must claim about the financing alarmed him because he
- 17:57had purchased Tesla Investments designed to reward him for his
- 18:00belief that the automaker stock would eventually be worth far
- 18:03more than 420 dollars. He said, said he sold most of
- 18:07his Holdings to cut his losses but still saw the value of his
- 18:11Tesla portfolio plunged by 75% quote, the damage was done.
- 18:17I was in a State of Shock said Little Tim and in 2018 when he
- 18:22lashed out at Tesla for late deliveries on vehicles for some
- 18:25of his nieces and nephews led him to become a lead investor in
- 18:28the lawsuit. He said I still believe in Tesla
- 18:31to this day. I do now musk's 2018 tweets
- 18:35attracted attention. The security Regulators who
- 18:38concluded that they were improper that he was lying in a
- 18:42settlement. They force them to pay 40
- 18:44million dollars and required him to step down as Tesla.
- 18:46Chairman in the trial is expected to last for three weeks
- 18:50and is being presided over by US.
- 18:52District, Judge, Andrew, Chim. The outcome of the trial will be
- 18:56closely watched by investors and Industry experts.
