Soderstrom Out for Season Due to Hip Surgery | Oakland Athletics News
Oakland A’s young catcher Tyler Soderstrom’s season is over after hip surgery — a tough blow for both player and team, especially after his recent 11-game hitting streak. The injury, left hip impingement, forced him onto the IL earlier this year, and despite managing his workload with days off and DH appearances, the pain proved too much to continue. Manager Mark Kotsay confirmed the procedure is scheduled for Friday, ending Soderstrom’s 2024 campaign. Fans will be hoping for a healthy return next season.
