- 0:00Speaker 1: When you're forty and trying to use zoom you hit
- 0:03Speaker 1: the wrong buttons.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Welcome, it was beautiful. Can I get that LP somewhere?
- 0:10Speaker 3: Yes?
- 0:10Speaker 1: I will record it with Josh's band. It'll be very
- 0:13Speaker 1: base heavy.
- 0:15Speaker 2: I only want it if it's like a super cool
- 0:17Speaker 2: vinyl though, Like I definitely need you to get like
- 0:20Speaker 2: those colorful ones or like it's like a horror movie theme.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Could you do like a dribby blood or something? Be cool?
- 0:29Speaker 4: On the Lunai is part of the Odd Pods media network.
- 0:53Speaker 5: I have a blood and water Jaws one.
- 0:55Speaker 1: It's pretty cool.
- 0:56Speaker 6: Oh really? Does they have the blood inside it? Like
- 0:59Speaker 6: it's like wuid?
- 1:00Speaker 5: No, Well, it's just it's like a clear with it
- 1:03Speaker 5: looks like blood on it. And then the other one
- 1:05Speaker 5: looks is the blue, so it looks like water. For
- 1:07Speaker 5: the fiftieth anniversary, it is this.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Did they do that? They're just well, I guess they're
- 1:11Speaker 1: just wax for it.
- 1:13Speaker 2: We have to stop talking immediately and focus on have
- 1:17Speaker 2: you seen one with blood in like?
- 1:19Speaker 6: Have you seen liquid on?
- 1:21Speaker 2: Yah?
- 1:21Speaker 6: They have liquid ones, they have sand ones. Sometimes they
- 1:23Speaker 6: put like teeth in them. Like there's some really wild
- 1:28Speaker 6: stuff now with vinyl, like like enclosed discs.
- 1:32Speaker 5: Oh wow, I haven't seen the film ones. That's cool.
- 1:35Speaker 1: They like are they like thicker?
- 1:36Speaker 5: Normal?
- 1:37Speaker 6: Know, they're the same. Uh you know what, I actually
- 1:39Speaker 6: haven't seen one in person. Maybe they would be a
- 1:41Speaker 6: little bit thicker, but they couldn't be too much thicker.
- 1:43Speaker 6: They wouldn't play right.
- 1:44Speaker 1: They can still play. Okay, Well, just for looks, I guess.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I'd like to know where they're getting the teeth for
- 1:50Speaker 2: the teeth one good question.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Actually, goddamn business, kids with teeth all the time.
- 1:55Speaker 5: The tooth fairy, Yeah.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Oh yes, the very real thing. Tooth Fairy like off
- 2:02Speaker 2: unintentionally talking about.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Blood and teeth.
- 2:07Speaker 2: That's it, because I was like, let's talk about the
- 2:09Speaker 2: movie te now.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I Vagina Vanina.
- 2:16Speaker 2: See now I'm the B side of your album You're welcome.
- 2:20Speaker 5: No.
- 2:21Speaker 2: I wanted to briefly just mention I listened to you
- 2:23Speaker 2: on a show that you did. You did a podcast,
- 2:25Speaker 2: Josh not. Oh by the way, Hey guys, we're on
- 2:28Speaker 2: the lune. Hey, how's it going.
- 2:29Speaker 1: How's it going? Josh came back?
- 2:33Speaker 2: Well, he wants to take Kristin on again. Sin nothing, okay,
- 2:42Speaker 2: you know what, I can't get down with that I
- 2:45Speaker 2: would say, if Josh won Day versus Kristin, we should
- 2:50Speaker 2: double his points in the thing, okay, because we didn't
- 2:53Speaker 2: give him.
- 2:54Speaker 1: And also you take notes, Josh.
- 2:56Speaker 2: We didn't give him the knowledge that he should be
- 2:58Speaker 2: using close camption because we're chatty. Kathy's Gina and I
- 3:02Speaker 2: have seen all the episodes a million times, so we're like,
- 3:05Speaker 2: oh my god, love that sweater.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Girl.
- 3:10Speaker 2: It's very distracting.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Usually I'm a girl a lot.
- 3:13Speaker 5: Yeah, well that's a multitasking evolved.
- 3:19Speaker 7: Oh my god.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Anyway, I just want to I had never heard the
- 3:23Speaker 2: Vinyl Guide podcast before, and I don't know if I
- 3:27Speaker 2: loved it just because obviously your friend or it was great.
- 3:32Speaker 2: But I thought that episode was fucking killer, and I
- 3:35Speaker 2: thank you.
- 3:35Speaker 1: That's your show or you were you were.
- 3:37Speaker 7: Just on it.
- 3:38Speaker 6: I was on yeah, which like you have a mic.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Setup, So I was wondering if you did your own show.
- 3:43Speaker 6: No, I just always had it. You want to start one.
- 3:49Speaker 6: I notoriously don't like podcasts, like it's not a like
- 3:52Speaker 6: even though I've worked for like the Osbourne's Kevin bunch
- 3:55Speaker 6: of people on the podcast, I can't stand the format,
- 3:59Speaker 6: like to talk like I'll take a movie commentary, like
- 4:03Speaker 6: but that's about it.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Oh no, and we are like the one.
- 4:07Speaker 6: The Vinyl Guide is like the one podcast that I
- 4:09Speaker 6: like religiously like tune into. So being on it, like
- 4:12Speaker 6: I got to nerd out.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Is Wait, why don't you like to format? You don't
- 4:14Speaker 1: like listening to people's talk?
- 4:16Speaker 6: If yeah, if I'm like on my phone or if
- 4:18Speaker 6: I'm walking around like I've got music on, like I
- 4:20Speaker 6: just like music is my preferred medium if I'm like
- 4:23Speaker 6: doing anything in life like so people talking. Also, probably
- 4:28Speaker 6: listening to Kevin talk for so many years is probably
- 4:30Speaker 6: ruined it for me. Like anytime I hear a podcast,
- 4:33Speaker 6: I'm like, am I getting paid right now? Because it
- 4:35Speaker 6: feels like I should be getting paid.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I have to tell you, and this is a this
- 4:40Speaker 2: is a big deal on other shows that I do
- 4:43Speaker 2: not as much on our show or my others that
- 4:47Speaker 2: are my own. But when I do a show and
- 4:50Speaker 2: I don't listen, I get so much shit for it.
- 4:53Speaker 2: But I'm the same way. I'm a music girl. I
- 4:55Speaker 2: always have music playing. I have to like have a
- 4:58Speaker 2: friend on a show or someone has to be like
- 5:00Speaker 2: you got to hear this episode, and then I'll listen.
- 5:03Speaker 2: I don't even listen to the Route Report anymore. People
- 5:06Speaker 2: talk at me all day for my job. I don't.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I don't like it, but I do like to talk,
- 5:12Speaker 2: so I have a ton of podcasts. I have like
- 5:14Speaker 2: three podcasts right now plus a guest spot. So that's
- 5:18Speaker 2: why I was like, you want to do one, let's
- 5:20Speaker 2: just talk.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I do have a question, do you have a fuck
- 5:23Speaker 1: with Kevin Smith? And go why are you so quiet today?
- 5:26Speaker 2: No?
- 5:27Speaker 6: I can't get it. Can't get a long enough gap
- 5:29Speaker 6: in him talking to be able to even say that.
- 5:32Speaker 6: Like if you listen to the Vinyl Guide podcast, like
- 5:35Speaker 6: it's literally just like I chime in occasionally just to
- 5:38Speaker 6: be like making fun of him, and that's about it.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Till Kevin arrives. You got some really good chat in
- 5:45Speaker 2: he was like a few minutes later or whatever. So
- 5:47Speaker 2: like the first few minutes of that show, you do
- 5:50Speaker 2: get to have some really nice conversation with Kevin.
- 5:53Speaker 6: Just stiff army, he rails it immediately.
- 5:57Speaker 5: Are two or three questions tops, because it's like a
- 6:00Speaker 5: two hour answer.
- 6:01Speaker 6: Yeah, truly.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Our friends that do the the British Panel games, the
- 6:07Speaker 2: b fy TW people, I watch them try to wrangle
- 6:12Speaker 2: two of the two people that are on it that
- 6:15Speaker 2: fill in the like contestant role versus the host. I
- 6:19Speaker 2: watch our friend Aaron try to wrangle them, and I'm like,
- 6:22Speaker 2: I can see the look on Ralph's face that he
- 6:26Speaker 2: used to make it like stoner Kevin at the improv like,
- 6:29Speaker 2: I have an hour of content. I need to through
- 6:32Speaker 2: stop fucking story stories.
- 6:35Speaker 5: It's hard to wrangle stoner brain.
- 6:37Speaker 6: It is.
- 6:38Speaker 5: It is very hard.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Yes, I typically don't partake anytime my podcasts because when
- 6:44Speaker 2: I do, it's a problem. God.
- 6:46Speaker 6: Yeah, I've just never been a stoner, Like I just
- 6:51Speaker 6: like booze too much.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I prefer booze. But the fatter I get, I've had
- 6:55Speaker 2: to find alternatives because I'm trying to not turn into
- 7:00Speaker 2: a pillar of sugar. That's like, my goal is to
- 7:03Speaker 2: not just die have diabutis all right, well we're here.
- 7:11Speaker 2: What does someone else want to you got anything going on?
- 7:14Speaker 6: I mean, I mean you just had a birthday, right,
- 7:18Speaker 6: I did just have birthday, as did Jana.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you? Yeah, even though yeah, no, I'm going
- 7:28Speaker 1: to pretend it really happened.
- 7:29Speaker 6: There you go.
- 7:30Speaker 2: That's good, that's good. You should leave the part in
- 7:32Speaker 2: where you tell them that we're pretending it happens.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Truthfully, they should have figure it out.
- 7:38Speaker 2: We should have apologized for not wishing you a happy
- 7:41Speaker 2: birthday last week, because at this point, yeah, we're, Oh, that.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Means I'm forty one. I like I liked being forty.
- 7:50Speaker 1: It was like I was barely in my forties. Wait,
- 7:56Speaker 1: just wait, you guys, wait for who can I talked
- 8:00Speaker 1: to about this?
- 8:01Speaker 6: I don't.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I don't do anything that I'm not using my right shoulder,
- 8:06Speaker 2: and so I'm always a little bit in pain. I
- 8:09Speaker 2: feel like I'm just wearing it out altogether.
- 8:12Speaker 1: You had a midlife crisis.
- 8:14Speaker 6: Yet, Josh, I've had two or three of those. I mean,
- 8:17Speaker 6: I didn't think i'd lived past twenty, so I'm pretty
- 8:19Speaker 6: sure I had one at ten.
- 8:23Speaker 1: His midlife crisis is like he covers up ball his tattoos.
- 8:26Speaker 1: He was a thigh insurance I care you. We have
- 8:31Speaker 1: to like have an intervention for him.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Money. You only start selling insurance if you have to
- 8:37Speaker 2: pay rent and you're in between gigs. You don't do
- 8:40Speaker 2: it just because it's midlife.
- 8:44Speaker 6: Fair.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Do you have any upcoming projects?
- 8:47Speaker 6: So, like I said last week, still riding the next feature,
- 8:51Speaker 6: I'm going to well, I guess I just did a
- 8:54Speaker 6: gig out in San Francisco for C. J. Ramowen's birthday.
- 8:58Speaker 6: That's cool, just shot is yeah, yep.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Nice.
- 9:01Speaker 6: Let's see what else we got going on working on
- 9:04Speaker 6: a top secret documentary. I'm just getting off the ground
- 9:08Speaker 6: with a drummer from a very famous band who has
- 9:11Speaker 6: hundreds of hours of unreleased footage.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Oh, the spinal drummer.
- 9:17Speaker 6: That would be which Yeah, there's always a bunch of
- 9:23Speaker 6: irons in the fire.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Nice.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Very cool, yep, very cool.
- 9:27Speaker 6: Oh and at this point, I guess it would probably
- 9:31Speaker 6: be public that Wrong Reasons is getting distribution in New Zealand,
- 9:36Speaker 6: Europe and Australia.
- 9:37Speaker 5: So oh wow, Hike, that's great.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Actually, that'll be very exciting to front of the show
- 9:43Speaker 2: to who watches him? Friend of ours that lives in Adelaide,
- 9:47Speaker 2: and I call him future boy because it's like seventeen
- 9:51Speaker 2: and a half hour or something tomorrow.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I just bought long loan some Highway on Amazon,
- 9:57Speaker 1: So I don't know if you get like four pennies
- 9:59Speaker 1: from that.
- 10:00Speaker 6: I don't get a damn thing, but I appreciate the
- 10:02Speaker 6: support makes it look good.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Maybe I can just send you some four pens.
- 10:08Speaker 5: Yeah, and review it on Amazon too.
- 10:10Speaker 6: It's only got that's a good one. Okay, well, thank.
- 10:13Speaker 2: You, unless, like twenty years ago, you accidentally reviewed something
- 10:18Speaker 2: when someone gave you a discount code, and then you
- 10:20Speaker 2: can never review on Amazon again. It is the hardest
- 10:23Speaker 2: thing to get back. Yeah, it's almost impossible, like it
- 10:26Speaker 2: just hoops you jump through. I've tried a few times
- 10:28Speaker 2: over the years, and I'm not like.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Just because you had a discount, why can't you review it?
- 10:33Speaker 2: Because they were paint basically because they were giving you
- 10:37Speaker 2: money off something else they were paying for a good
- 10:39Speaker 2: review amasiolated.
- 10:43Speaker 5: Okay, I know a lot of people. Once you get
- 10:47Speaker 5: at that revoked, it's really hard to get back because
- 10:49Speaker 5: I know the people that advanced your copies for books,
- 10:53Speaker 5: and once you get taken off Amazon, trying to fight
- 10:55Speaker 5: to get that back, it was damn near impossible.
- 10:58Speaker 6: Yeah, if you ever have time, you should go read.
- 11:01Speaker 6: I write a review for every movie I do, and
- 11:03Speaker 6: it's always pretty self deprecating.
- 11:06Speaker 1: You review your own movie.
- 11:08Speaker 6: Oh yeah, they're just in the Amazon reviews. Like I'll
- 11:14Speaker 6: usually say something like, oh, it's an amazing movie, but
- 11:16Speaker 6: that director needs to lose twenty pounds or you know
- 11:19Speaker 6: something like that. Every now and then screenshot them and
- 11:23Speaker 6: send them to me. I'm just like, yep, that's me.
- 11:25Speaker 2: That's fucking awesome. I'm not looking that up right now.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's so fun.
- 11:34Speaker 5: Hey, I mean you gotta be able to laugh at yourself.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean we grew up with the muppets Statlan
- 11:40Speaker 1: and Waldorf.
- 11:41Speaker 5: Yeah, my Hero Science Theater.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Right, you got oh this is you? Hold on? Oh ship?
- 11:51Speaker 1: Where'd you get those? You made those?
- 11:55Speaker 6: For those that can't see. That's the robots for Mystery
- 11:57Speaker 6: Science Theater three.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Thousands got a tom and a crow?
- 12:00Speaker 5: Wow?
- 12:01Speaker 1: How hard was that to make?
- 12:02Speaker 6: It's built out of all the original parts, So it
- 12:05Speaker 6: was harder to source the parts than it was to
- 12:07Speaker 6: actually build them. Wow, had him for like twenty years now.
- 12:12Speaker 1: If they weren't copyrighted, I'd be like put him in
- 12:13Speaker 1: a movie truly, just him laying on the ground.
- 12:17Speaker 5: See if someone cans fond just in the background. Yeah.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Can I embarrass you and read this review? Please?
- 12:22Speaker 6: Please? You can't embarrass me.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Well that's a challenge.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Five stars. Fantastic movie. I'll tell you the truth. It's
- 12:30Speaker 2: an amazing documentary. But the director, not a fan. The
- 12:34Speaker 2: dude actually put himself in his own movie tasteless. That's
- 12:38Speaker 2: the equivalent of writing your own review, which would be
- 12:41Speaker 2: a gross move under any circumstances. I will say the
- 12:45Speaker 2: dude has dropped some serious weight since this doc, so
- 12:48Speaker 2: good job on the glow up, but it's still not
- 12:50Speaker 2: enough to get past that ugly mug. A mother couldn't
- 12:53Speaker 2: even love. A plus to the doc, d minus to
- 12:56Speaker 2: the directory.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Hey, you need therapist.
- 13:03Speaker 5: To give yourself some grace.
- 13:07Speaker 1: How much weight have you lost?
- 13:09Speaker 6: Like sixty five pounds?
- 13:11Speaker 1: Nice?
- 13:11Speaker 5: That's awesome.
- 13:13Speaker 1: And then I noticed in the trailer that was big Kevin,
- 13:15Speaker 1: So I was like, oh, this must have been shot
- 13:17Speaker 1: a while ago.
- 13:17Speaker 6: We get big Kevin and small Kevin, so do we Yeah?
- 13:21Speaker 6: First one it was like nine ten years ago, and
- 13:23Speaker 6: then his second one was only four or five years after.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I think, yeah, good for you guys.
- 13:30Speaker 2: That's that's the highest.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Review that was of what wrong reasons, no long loans,
- 13:34Speaker 1: that's on highway.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Yeah. I just went to the most recent thing, and
- 13:38Speaker 2: that's a fucking do you.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Do a thing where you like do your voice off
- 13:42Speaker 1: screen and then you answer it like as you're on
- 13:45Speaker 1: the screen. Like you interview yourself for the documentary.
- 13:48Speaker 6: Oh, that would be essentially. I wrote the questions and
- 13:51Speaker 6: had my buddy ask them. Yeah, all right, cool.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Well, do you guys want to start episoding?
- 13:59Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 14:00Speaker 6: Good?
- 14:01Speaker 2: I did a dance for those of you at home.
- 14:03Speaker 1: You missed it. It's too bad. A little dance.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Yeah yeah.
- 14:08Speaker 6: Let me turn on closed captions.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Please do yeah?
- 14:12Speaker 2: I mean, if you need a pen, I know I
- 14:14Speaker 2: didn't get one.
- 14:16Speaker 1: All right. This is season two, episode twenty one. This
- 14:18Speaker 1: is called Dorothy's Prized Pupil. The original air date was
- 14:23Speaker 1: March fourteenth, nineteen eighty seven. Josh and Kristen and I
- 14:27Speaker 1: were all like two yep. The director was Terry Hughes.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I didn't mention that for any particular reason her. The
- 14:35Speaker 1: writer was Christopher Lloyd. Each yet Christopher Lloyd, thank you?
- 14:39Speaker 1: I will shit all right? What do you think the
- 14:42Speaker 1: episode Dorothy's Prize Pupil is about? Not that that's not descriptive.
- 14:48Speaker 5: It's her student that gets hot for a teacher like
- 14:51Speaker 5: she's got like a younger prize student that has the
- 14:54Speaker 5: hots for Dorithy.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Crossing the line. Yeah, yeah, what do you think, Josh?
- 14:59Speaker 6: I'm going to go something with the eyeball.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Oh words like she has like an injury.
- 15:07Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm gonna say she has an eye injury. Yeah.
- 15:09Speaker 1: They have terrific eighties television.
- 15:13Speaker 6: Yeah, I think that's good TV.
- 15:16Speaker 2: I like it.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I like it all right. Now, based on that,
- 15:19Speaker 1: who do you think the most difficult villain will be
- 15:21Speaker 1: for Aaron to describe of the episode? You got your Dorothy,
- 15:28Speaker 1: you got your Blanche, you got your Sophia, you got
- 15:30Speaker 1: your I mean I always go Dorothy. Yeah, let's do
- 15:34Speaker 1: Dorothy again, double Dorothy, she identifies.
- 15:43Speaker 5: Mostly sometimes we make it really easy for we'll see.
- 15:50Speaker 1: All right, you good with that, misscam ready?
- 15:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fine. I could probably work with that.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Okay, Well, now that we have that down, let's go
- 15:58Speaker 1: watch the episode and you guys listen to commercial.
- 16:01Speaker 6: Hey I'm Pantsil Saron.
- 16:02Speaker 2: This is Stevie and I'm Aggie, and we.
- 16:04Speaker 6: Are because fuck you.
- 16:06Speaker 3: That's why the podcast it's all about playing games and
- 16:08Speaker 3: having fun. Our games are mostly based on British panel
- 16:11Speaker 3: shows or British game shows, but we'll play just about
- 16:13Speaker 3: anything that catches our attention and imagination. Our show is
- 16:17Speaker 3: all about laugh So please come by and have a
- 16:19Speaker 3: great time. Why, because fuck you, that's why we're back.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Oh we did it. We watched it, we.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Did the thing, Yeah we did, and it was politically charged.
- 16:33Speaker 6: It really was. Whoa.
- 16:36Speaker 1: So the b story had to be extra funny.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's oddly trotation, oddly topical.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Yes, sunny House things are cyclical, that's true. And it
- 16:50Speaker 1: was a very young Mario Lopez. I'm not sure how
- 16:52Speaker 1: old he was in this. Oh I have that written
- 16:55Speaker 1: down for trivia.
- 16:56Speaker 2: He was fourteen, we'll sit by the bell started and
- 17:01Speaker 2: five six, it doesn't matter.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Oh I don't know.
- 17:04Speaker 5: Yeah, save got to be older or later because they
- 17:08Speaker 5: were in they.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Were in junior high. First in miss Bliss's class, that's right.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I forgot about the and then it went anyway,
- 17:18Speaker 2: that doesn't matter.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Nineteen eighty nine.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Okay, so was that head of the class or whatever?
- 17:24Speaker 2: That was called first?
- 17:25Speaker 5: Hello, miss Bliss? Is that what it was called?
- 17:27Speaker 1: First? August morning? August of eighty nine, And yeah, it
- 17:32Speaker 1: was called good morning, miss Bliss.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Welcome to our.
- 17:37Speaker 5: Tangents.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Let's start another one. It's fun, all.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Right, why don't we let's let's let's play the quiz
- 17:44Speaker 2: because I think what we've really been waiting for all
- 17:47Speaker 2: week is to see who wins in the Ultimate Showdown.
- 17:53Speaker 2: All right, here we go. Are you ready? Your buzzer?
- 17:56Speaker 2: Is your name? Please try to wait till I finished
- 17:58Speaker 2: the question.
- 17:59Speaker 6: Yes, don't refer to myself as God.
- 18:04Speaker 2: You call yourself whatever you want.
- 18:07Speaker 6: Yeah, quicker than Josh?
- 18:09Speaker 1: Right?
- 18:10Speaker 2: All right? Who did Sophia say? And I mean it's true,
- 18:14Speaker 2: but who did Sophia say lost to Reagan?
- 18:18Speaker 6: Oh there's too many names?
- 18:21Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 18:22Speaker 1: Mondale, Yeah, Walter Mondale. Yeah.
- 18:26Speaker 2: I didn't know that to be true because I was
- 18:28Speaker 2: too little to give a fuck about politics when I
- 18:29Speaker 2: was at age, so I.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Just as a kid.
- 18:32Speaker 2: It just made what Sophia said not something had to research. Okay,
- 18:37Speaker 2: So who was Ronald Reagan really married to? And if
- 18:40Speaker 2: you can give me both names, the first wife and
- 18:43Speaker 2: the second wife, you get two points. But if but
- 18:45Speaker 2: one is fine.
- 18:46Speaker 5: Kristen yes, Jane Wyman and Nancy Reagan.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Yes, Nancie Davis.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Nancy Davis. Right again, but that's okay, it's fine. Take
- 18:59Speaker 2: your points. According to Sophia, what will be crumpled next
- 19:04Speaker 2: to a bottle of Jack Daniels in about thirty minutes. Oh,
- 19:08Speaker 2: Josh got it? Yeah, all right, cool. Mario was played
- 19:16Speaker 2: by Mario Lopez. But what was Mario's name on Saved
- 19:20Speaker 2: by the Bell?
- 19:21Speaker 5: Christina?
- 19:23Speaker 1: That was her?
- 19:24Speaker 2: It was Kristin? I think yeah slater?
- 19:26Speaker 1: Okay, AC slater.
- 19:28Speaker 2: No stump, bonus points, failure conditions. Anybody know what the
- 19:34Speaker 2: AC stood for in A? Yeah, they don't listen, they
- 19:39Speaker 2: weren't current.
- 19:42Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Tell it's Albert Clifford. I know, right, that's the worst name.
- 19:51Speaker 2: I was shocked. Okay, fine, no one gets any of
- 19:54Speaker 2: those points. Let's just move on.
- 19:55Speaker 1: What a terrible name?
- 19:57Speaker 2: What concert did Rose lose the tickets for Kristen?
- 20:03Speaker 1: That was Kristen.
- 20:05Speaker 2: It was technically Kristen.
- 20:06Speaker 5: But.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I don't what's funny is fighting.
- 20:17Speaker 2: I didn't think Josh was anywhere near first, but Gina
- 20:20Speaker 2: was very close to Kristin. I was actually go ahead,
- 20:24Speaker 2: Kristen answer yes, yeah, okay, this next one. Trying not
- 20:31Speaker 2: to vomit in your mouth when you think of the answer.
- 20:35Speaker 2: What snack does Rose offer Mario that makes him leave Kristen?
- 20:42Speaker 5: A herring salad sandwich on raisin bread.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Yeah, and it was herring harring salad. I mean it's
- 20:52Speaker 1: gotta be mayo. I don't think I've had herring on
- 20:57Speaker 1: raisin bread. That's a little one like a sardine.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Yeah right, Yeah, I don't know the answer.
- 21:05Speaker 5: The haring salad might be good on its own, but
- 21:08Speaker 5: ra sweet, so it mixed to good like I like
- 21:11Speaker 5: tuna salad, So haring salad is probably similar, different flavored.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Fish I like. I mean, hag your head and.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Shane opinions are like assholes. But yeah, I think I
- 21:26Speaker 2: think you're wrong, all right, but.
- 21:29Speaker 5: I love you.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Oh, I sorry, I'm just looking at my next s.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Out of questions, what does Blanche say her earrings are
- 21:39Speaker 2: made from kristen?
- 21:42Speaker 5: Yes, the Civil War bullets that killed great granddaddy, like
- 21:49Speaker 5: blood diamonds.
- 21:49Speaker 1: I don't remember.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Okay, let's let's just move on. For how long does
- 21:55Speaker 2: Rose offer to be blanches Vedan Frugan China?
- 21:59Speaker 1: Yeah? One week? Yeah, it's man one week?
- 22:04Speaker 2: Speaking of bare naked ladies, what is the falcon Old song?
- 22:09Speaker 2: I knew Gina would sing that, so I wrote a
- 22:12Speaker 2: question now because I knew she would sing that. Speaking
- 22:15Speaker 2: of bare naked ladies, what is the final line in
- 22:17Speaker 2: their song? One week?
- 22:19Speaker 6: Ooh uh Josh? Yeah, still be three days till you
- 22:28Speaker 6: say You're sorry.
- 22:30Speaker 2: That is the second to last one.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Yeah, well that's pretty good.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Do I get a point on this? Oh? Wow, it's
- 22:38Speaker 2: Birchmont Stadium, home of the Robbie Oh which is what?
- 22:44Speaker 1: It's Robbie.
- 22:47Speaker 2: It's like a famous like sports. I looked at I
- 22:50Speaker 2: knew the answer before I looked up, because I was like,
- 22:53Speaker 2: the fuck does that mean? Because I've never understood what
- 22:56Speaker 2: the line is, And so as I was thinking Gina
- 22:58Speaker 2: would sing this, I was like, that would be funny.
- 23:02Speaker 2: And I was actually going to ask you what the
- 23:05Speaker 2: last say you're sorry was, But then I was like,
- 23:08Speaker 2: let's go with the last line because I've never known
- 23:09Speaker 2: what that said. And that's a fun mishard lyrics.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Okay. It refers to Birchmont Stadium in Scarborough, Toronto, Canada,
- 23:15Speaker 1: the primary venue for the annual Robbie International Soccer Tournament.
- 23:20Speaker 5: Say Robbie is a soccer term.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't know the kids?
- 23:25Speaker 2: All right?
- 23:26Speaker 6: Fine?
- 23:26Speaker 2: Fine, next question in that song snickers Chinese the Chinese chicken?
- 23:38Speaker 1: All right?
- 23:39Speaker 2: Who came in dead last in the four county to
- 23:43Speaker 2: boggan race because Uncle Ben had lost their leg? What
- 23:48Speaker 2: was Josh Lars Lars Olsen. Yep, there's gonna be a
- 23:55Speaker 2: series of this story. Question Josh, so, whatever happened to
- 24:01Speaker 2: Lars Olsen's leg? Kristen, Yes, don't go too far, okay.
- 24:09Speaker 5: Atal Lice Coral Festival. Yes?
- 24:14Speaker 2: Next question? Why was the leg at the Adelvice Garlsberg
- 24:20Speaker 2: Coral Festival?
- 24:22Speaker 1: You know, yes, he was beaten off wolves with it?
- 24:28Speaker 1: She off.
- 24:31Speaker 5: I love to say all off stories so much?
- 24:40Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 24:41Speaker 2: What is Blanche's favorite ice cream flavor?
- 24:49Speaker 1: I don't know who that was.
- 24:50Speaker 5: I think it was Josh, but let's give Josh take it.
- 24:53Speaker 6: Peanut butter vanilla.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Is that even a real flavor?
- 24:57Speaker 6: I didn't think so.
- 24:58Speaker 5: Peanut butter chocolate's the back?
- 25:00Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 25:05Speaker 2: All right, well, okay, what happens to Mario after he
- 25:10Speaker 2: wins first prize for the writing contest? It was Kristin
- 25:16Speaker 2: that time.
- 25:18Speaker 5: Gets deported.
- 25:21Speaker 2: That teaches us not to dwell in school kids.
- 25:24Speaker 1: He goes to a movie. Answer.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Next question, I'm fucking believable of all people, Gina, in
- 25:37Speaker 2: one week, where do they find Mario after he runs away?
- 25:40Speaker 5: Kristen an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Wow, you had trouble with that name I'm fucking next question.
- 25:54Speaker 1: You're the one who didn't say, don't just say.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Well, because I thought she had learned her lesson to answer,
- 25:59Speaker 2: we did. Who's body does Blanche say she can't take
- 26:05Speaker 2: her eyes off.
- 26:06Speaker 5: Of Kristen Arnold? Trustan?
- 26:12Speaker 1: Technically we don't know because we didn't see it. Could
- 26:15Speaker 1: have been a co star.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Okay, cool, Then no point for Kristin. I guess no,
- 26:21Speaker 2: take the point.
- 26:21Speaker 1: It was implied.
- 26:23Speaker 6: Yeah, it was implied.
- 26:25Speaker 1: All right.
- 26:26Speaker 2: This is the last question, guys, and I didn't do
- 26:29Speaker 2: last line this time. The question is a two pointer.
- 26:33Speaker 2: I don't care who gets the two points. You can
- 26:37Speaker 2: each take one. I don't give a shit. Here's the question.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Who actually lost the earrings and the watch? And then
- 26:45Speaker 2: who brought them back?
- 26:46Speaker 5: Kristen? Yes, Kristen, Blanche lost them and Sam Burns brought
- 26:52Speaker 5: them back.
- 26:54Speaker 6: The guy everybody Fox?
- 26:55Speaker 2: Yeah right, that was such a throwaway line, but that's
- 26:59Speaker 2: the honest got like that's.
- 27:01Speaker 1: And he was so handsome too.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Oh that's okay. Everybody sleeps with Sam?
- 27:05Speaker 1: Yeah, you're welcome, welcome.
- 27:08Speaker 7: Yeah, I honestly feel like, yeah, how does she not
- 27:18Speaker 7: have herpies or something? Right?
- 27:19Speaker 1: Like, that's true?
- 27:21Speaker 2: I don't know right well, and we don't talk about
- 27:23Speaker 2: the condoms uh and and Senior Citizen sex until much
- 27:27Speaker 2: later in the series there is an episode about condoms
- 27:30Speaker 2: condom condoms. But I I have to tell you that
- 27:37Speaker 2: I feel like maybe even a little bit of why
- 27:40Speaker 2: I was so like desperate to get married initially in
- 27:43Speaker 2: my life and I never have. I don't know if
- 27:45Speaker 2: it's me, but I've just like I've gotten close and
- 27:49Speaker 2: then I've been like I had to live with you,
- 27:50Speaker 2: and now I know I don't want to love you
- 27:52Speaker 2: forever because I have to live with you. And watching
- 27:57Speaker 2: this episode and this guy that everyone fucks looking like that,
- 28:01Speaker 2: I was like, I wonder if like my drive to
- 28:04Speaker 2: find someone when everyone was still young and hot was
- 28:06Speaker 2: because I knew it was gonna be bleak, And now
- 28:10Speaker 2: that I'm living in my mid forties, it is bleak
- 28:15Speaker 2: dating bleak. We're all shut up. Yeah, yeah, fuck you.
- 28:23Speaker 2: You've never been with anyone in the time I've known
- 28:26Speaker 2: you that wasn't like a ten out of ten smunk
- 28:29Speaker 2: show and had like a cool job or side.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Girls want the bad boys.
- 28:34Speaker 6: I didn't bring them around.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Well, those those probably weren't. Those were probably just friends. Sure,
- 28:47Speaker 2: all right, So, Kristen, did you kick everyone's ask again?
- 28:50Speaker 2: Is that?
- 28:51Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 28:52Speaker 2: All right, Josh, I'm gonna invite you back for We're
- 28:56Speaker 2: gonna invite you back season three post holiday and uh
- 29:01Speaker 2: we'll talk off air.
- 29:02Speaker 6: Okay, okay, Teter.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Cool, do you have some trivia for us miss Gina? Yes,
- 29:11Speaker 2: missus Gina. I don't know.
- 29:14Speaker 1: My mother was missus Gina. No, let's see. Mario Lopez
- 29:19Speaker 1: played Mario. He was fourteen years older. He was from
- 29:22Speaker 1: Saved by the Bell. We all know that. Playing Sam
- 29:25Speaker 1: Burns mister finger Guns was John Brayden. He was on
- 29:29Speaker 1: Remington Steele and also a show called It's a Living
- 29:33Speaker 1: I can't not say it, like.
- 29:34Speaker 5: The Finstone I love Dremington and Steel.
- 29:38Speaker 1: The man in the theater that kept saying shush was
- 29:40Speaker 1: Danny Goldman.
- 29:42Speaker 6: I did see that in the credits.
- 29:44Speaker 1: He was the smarmy medical student in Young Frankenstein.
- 29:48Speaker 6: Really.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Oh wow, interesting, I love that movie.
- 29:51Speaker 6: Yeah, they're doing a TV show now they are, are
- 29:55Speaker 6: they really? It's called Younger Frankenstein or something like that,
- 29:58Speaker 6: like a precursor.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 29:59Speaker 1: Was it, like you Sheldon?
- 30:00Speaker 6: They go really like that? Yeah.
- 30:03Speaker 1: He also played Brainy smurf. Oh Bert Nesbit, the guy
- 30:09Speaker 1: who was with like the FBI or whatever department Homeland.
- 30:12Speaker 1: That was chip Olcott. He was on the new Leave
- 30:14Speaker 1: It to Beaver if you remember that short lived shit.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Oh that was bad.
- 30:18Speaker 5: Didn't even know they did that.
- 30:20Speaker 1: They did a.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Lot of bad family based things in the eighties.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Once they had like Star Trek Next Gen, They're like,
- 30:25Speaker 1: let's reboot everything. Yeah, and then B and Mario appeared
- 30:31Speaker 1: together in nineteen eighty four on a show called Aka Pablo,
- 30:35Speaker 1: which Mario co starred on. On that B was a xenophobe,
- 30:41Speaker 1: so kind of relates.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Oh wow, interesting, I definitely like so I prepped for
- 30:47Speaker 2: this beforehand. Obviously I watch ahead of time to watch
- 30:51Speaker 2: for funny quiz questions. But I'm watching that one and
- 30:54Speaker 2: I was, some, man, this HiT's hard in today, like really,
- 30:59Speaker 2: But also I think they told it really well, like
- 31:01Speaker 2: it could have because of the timing in the eighties,
- 31:05Speaker 2: it could have been a lot more racist.
- 31:06Speaker 6: Other than the hanging joke and the like, there was
- 31:10Speaker 6: like some bleak, disruptive.
- 31:14Speaker 2: No I'm not saying that isn't a little bit old
- 31:16Speaker 2: timey racist. I'm just saying from the immigration standpoint, that
- 31:21Speaker 2: portion of Blanche is always a little bit racist.
- 31:24Speaker 6: Oh yeah, yeah, the.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Way like our grandparents might have had a touch of
- 31:29Speaker 2: it left in him.
- 31:30Speaker 1: But it's just because they were.
- 31:31Speaker 6: Old, or my grandpa had a lot of it left.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:37Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 31:37Speaker 1: They go through the legal system and Dorothy's like, we're
- 31:40Speaker 1: gonna fight. I don't know how, but we'll find.
- 31:42Speaker 6: It right and we're not going to do it today.
- 31:45Speaker 6: We'll do it in the morning.
- 31:46Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, why start now?
- 31:49Speaker 6: Lunch days almost over, days almost over. I need my
- 31:53Speaker 6: cookies in bed, and the TV brought into I'm sad.
- 31:57Speaker 1: I have to be sad for you. Well, you get to.
- 32:02Speaker 6: It's hard to be white.
- 32:05Speaker 1: So right, the name of your next movie white?
- 32:13Speaker 6: God?
- 32:13Speaker 1: Damn that. I mean, that might put you on the map.
- 32:16Speaker 6: That would be hard.
- 32:18Speaker 2: I don't know, yeah, I don't know.
- 32:20Speaker 1: History.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Wow. There's a moment in this episode where Blanche is
- 32:30Speaker 2: telling a story at the table that makes no sense,
- 32:34Speaker 2: and she says, oh, well, you can clean whatever you
- 32:37Speaker 2: want from it, and she does this handchester and it
- 32:40Speaker 2: totally was like, I was like, someone saw this episode
- 32:44Speaker 2: and that's when they decided she could be madamorrible and wicked.
- 32:47Speaker 2: When she was like an old lady, like they saw
- 32:49Speaker 2: her just like there's a moment where I just he
- 32:54Speaker 2: was the replacement Madam Marrable on Broadway and Wicked. It
- 32:58Speaker 2: was like one of the last things she did.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Yeah, awesome.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Yeah, So I was like someone saw this episode and
- 33:03Speaker 2: saw the way she was like gesturing it off like
- 33:05Speaker 2: I've taught you something, fool and I was like, this
- 33:08Speaker 2: is this is that?
- 33:09Speaker 1: But I love how she's randomly in Starship Troopers and
- 33:12Speaker 1: she's like all burned up and ship.
- 33:14Speaker 6: I don't remember that.
- 33:15Speaker 1: She's like one of the teachers. Huh, Like Michael Ironside,
- 33:20Speaker 1: he's like missing a limb. Yeah, all the teachers are
- 33:22Speaker 1: like former soldiers and they're all fucked up.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Added to the well, added to the list of view
- 33:28Speaker 2: a great movie. So the villain was pretty obviously Dorothy
- 33:35Speaker 2: because she got a young man deported, offered to help,
- 33:38Speaker 2: and we know that he's never on the show again,
- 33:41Speaker 2: so she let him rot wherever he was being deported.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Back to sirs. That's what she wrote.
- 33:51Speaker 5: What a trying to share his accolades.
- 33:55Speaker 1: Yeah, but like that's it, and you drew attention to him, Dorothy, Wait.
- 33:58Speaker 2: To get talk about this a lot because I was.
- 34:02Speaker 2: I was part of that like upper middle class eighties vibe.
- 34:06Speaker 2: But like I lived in a town, John, You've not
- 34:09Speaker 2: heard this before. Probably I lived in a town where
- 34:12Speaker 2: the like wealthy people were like, should our kids have
- 34:15Speaker 2: their own school on our side? And like just built
- 34:19Speaker 2: a whole new school and it was just like all
- 34:21Speaker 2: the white kids and like a handful of other children
- 34:27Speaker 2: of like I went my first only black person I
- 34:30Speaker 2: knew until I got to high school. Her dad was
- 34:32Speaker 2: an NBA player, Like that was my experience.
- 34:36Speaker 6: Sure, And so I don't.
- 34:38Speaker 2: As much as fucked Dorothy for getting him deported. She
- 34:42Speaker 2: didn't know, she was oblivious.
- 34:44Speaker 6: Yeah, it was fucker.
- 34:46Speaker 2: I mean, definitely fucker for lack of fall.
- 34:48Speaker 1: I would feel like it if I did that. I
- 34:51Speaker 1: was like, oh no, I unintentionally got his name, like
- 34:55Speaker 1: looked at my people. I would feel so bad.
- 34:58Speaker 2: I would feel really bad about out that, but I
- 35:01Speaker 2: would follow through. I wouldn't leave them in their home
- 35:04Speaker 2: country wishing they lived in America still.
- 35:07Speaker 6: And celebrate with cookies, right.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Yeah, hot chocolate cookies.
- 35:16Speaker 1: You ever have someone bring a TV in your room
- 35:18Speaker 1: when you're younger? Yeah, of course she made a face.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Now, I did. Yeah, I had a TV in my room.
- 35:28Speaker 2: But to be fair, it's why I'm in the I'm
- 35:30Speaker 2: a horror movie fan because my folks would go to
- 35:33Speaker 2: bed and I'd wait for all the lights to go out,
- 35:36Speaker 2: and then I would turn on like the Saturday night
- 35:38Speaker 2: Saturday night scary movies and ship. So they shaped a
- 35:41Speaker 2: lot of my like darker like horror goth vibe like
- 35:45Speaker 2: to be sure, Yeah, I'm still that girl though. Wow cool.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Last week you guys made me sad too. This is
- 35:54Speaker 2: super fun. I like when Josh is here.
- 35:59Speaker 6: I can ruin them believe.
- 36:02Speaker 1: He didn't do anything.
- 36:03Speaker 2: No, I'm just I'm just teasing you this. This has
- 36:08Speaker 2: been a delight.
- 36:09Speaker 6: I thank you, Solas, Thank you for having me on.
- 36:11Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Literally open door anytime you want to come back.
- 36:15Speaker 6: Hell yeah, I'm always down.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Yeah, you're the best and.
- 36:20Speaker 6: Down to come and fail miserably at the quiz.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Don't don't worry. I'll get you the scantron.
- 36:28Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 36:31Speaker 5: Break into the office for the test results.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Oh man, all right, where where can our listeners find you?
