- 0:01Speaker 1: Jerry Kadi and Josh six one hundred. They've had a
- 0:04Speaker 1: couple food observations for you. One.
- 0:08Speaker 2: I made some turkey sandwiches last night and I kind
- 0:10Speaker 2: of wanted to spice them up a little bit, you know,
- 0:12Speaker 2: and I put pickles on there and some pepper jack
- 0:14Speaker 2: and shredded lettuce, and then it's like these need some bacon,
- 0:18Speaker 2: is what they Bacon would really kick these up a notch,
- 0:21Speaker 2: like Emerald Bam, Yes, bacon on there. Someone and got
- 0:25Speaker 2: turkey bacon. What a horrible mistake.
- 0:27Speaker 1: I'm an idiot. I am an idiot? Is Jenny O?
- 0:31Speaker 1: Turkey bacon?
- 0:32Speaker 3: So had you everything?
- 0:34Speaker 1: I know? I was like, I'll try to make these
- 0:36Speaker 1: kind of healthier. No, there's something weird with turkey bacon.
- 0:40Speaker 1: It is weird.
- 0:41Speaker 4: There's a lot of ways that I try and save
- 0:44Speaker 4: right calories. Yeah, that's a little bit healthy, Try and
- 0:48Speaker 4: health it up a little bit.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Turkey bacon, I just won't do.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Never gonna happen again.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Dog food.
- 0:53Speaker 1: I threw it in the oven to bacon and it
- 0:54Speaker 1: was so rubbery and weird.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Why is this shape like that?
- 0:59Speaker 1: It's it's slimy. Why is it like it's fake? Wavy?
- 1:04Speaker 3: Fake.
- 1:05Speaker 1: What is it? Buy turkey macon yeat.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Don't do it.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I ruined my life last night.
- 1:12Speaker 4: Everything all your hard work, God, God.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Note to self, don't ever buy turkey bacon ever again.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Now. Second, I was telling these clowns off the air
- 1:22Speaker 2: that you know what, vacation season popping up.
- 1:25Speaker 1: The amount of people who have given me.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Food recommendations for various places out of state is quite high, yeah,
- 1:32Speaker 2: which is surprising. But what I'm starting to learn is
- 1:35Speaker 2: a lot of them aren't recommending brick and mortar places.
- 1:38Speaker 2: They're like, oh, when you get to such and such,
- 1:41Speaker 2: you need to chog the pizza food truck.
- 1:43Speaker 1: There there's a pizza food truck.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I'm eating so many food truck recommendations now.
- 1:49Speaker 4: And it makes total sense because with everything the restaurant
- 1:52Speaker 4: industry is dealing with right now, rising food prices, I mean,
- 1:56Speaker 4: pain your workers is so expensive, they're opting to buy
- 2:00Speaker 4: these food trucks instead of the traditional brick and mortar
- 2:03Speaker 4: because they're saving a lot of overhead costs, I would think,
- 2:06Speaker 4: so still able to serve you their product and do
- 2:09Speaker 4: it in a way that you're gonna remember. I mean,
- 2:11Speaker 4: people are telling you about a specific food truck.
- 2:13Speaker 3: That's what you want.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I was looking at some stuff.
- 2:16Speaker 2: We're looking to maybe get away here in a few
- 2:18Speaker 2: months too for our anniversary, and I was looking at
- 2:21Speaker 2: a couple of spots and where we're thinking and for
- 2:24Speaker 2: restaurant recommendations in the top three, We're like, you gotta
- 2:27Speaker 2: go get burrito breakfast burritos from this food truck.
- 2:30Speaker 1: If you don't, you're an idiot.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, so yeah, that's a that's a big.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Thing right now.
- 2:34Speaker 2: So it led us off the ear to talk about
- 2:36Speaker 2: like what our food truck would be.
- 2:38Speaker 1: And Katie's like, I want a food droke so bad.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I do. And I was like, I would like a
- 2:42Speaker 1: food truck so bad.
- 2:43Speaker 4: I know.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Should we join forces?
- 2:44Speaker 4: And you have, we should, But you have to be
- 2:46Speaker 4: smart about it cause you have to name it.
- 2:47Speaker 3: You have to be able.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Oh well, JKJ obviously it's jkj's food truck.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I just want to eat it all.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Josh will be there that you'll be our taste test.
- 2:55Speaker 1: You want to eat it. What do you have to
- 2:56Speaker 1: be smart about?
- 2:57Speaker 4: You have to be smart about what you're preparing. Because
- 2:59Speaker 4: it's small, enclosed space. A lot of things need to
- 3:02Speaker 4: be made per order, right like you need to make
- 3:05Speaker 4: them when they order it so it stays fresh. You
- 3:07Speaker 4: have to have the capability to do that. So I'm
- 3:10Speaker 4: just saying, like, there's some things that you need to
- 3:11Speaker 4: think of. But I think a good old fashioned breakfast tacos. Away,
- 3:15Speaker 4: we breakfast tacos breakfast.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I wanted to go funnel cakes.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Sorry, that's been done.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Funnel cakes and breakfast tacos.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Here's the thing that we make breakfast tacos out of
- 3:26Speaker 2: funnel cakes.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Oh you could you know what a dessert breakfast talking
- 3:30Speaker 1: dessert taco? Wait no turkey bacon allowed?
- 3:34Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, miss me with the turkey bach if.
- 3:36Speaker 2: You had breakfast tacos though, Like your eyes rolled back
- 3:39Speaker 2: into your head.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Like, oh yeah, they don't have around here.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Like that's like a Texas thing. Let me tell you
- 3:45Speaker 4: something about breakfast tacos. I've never even been to Texas,
- 3:49Speaker 4: but the tails and the lore I've heard of the
- 3:51Speaker 4: breakfast taco.
- 3:53Speaker 3: You don't need no, man, it's a legend.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Your ecstasy it honestly, like, I think it's just the
- 4:01Speaker 4: best way to start your day.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Like I've seen videos.
- 4:04Speaker 1: It's the only reason. No, it's like an omelet with
- 4:06Speaker 1: a soft shell taco wrapped around it and the flavor.
- 4:10Speaker 1: You can put a little green chili flavor, red sauce
- 4:13Speaker 1: like the way that.
- 4:13Speaker 4: They made the You know, you put cheese down on
- 4:16Speaker 4: the grill first, and then you.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Put and then you put that on to that. Can
- 4:19Speaker 1: we do that in a food truck.
- 4:21Speaker 3: We can do this in a food truck.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Well, what we gotta name it something fun? Then taste
- 4:27Speaker 1: my taco, my taco, my taco. It's all breakfast taco.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Start your day with my taco, best taco, about nacho taco,
- 4:44Speaker 2: and we'll do.
- 4:47Speaker 1: We're gonna work on this. We'll let you guys know.
- 4:49Speaker 2: For off the air, I've been getting a little bit
- 4:52Speaker 2: of crap for my coworkers because I just had an
- 4:55Speaker 2: Amazon delivery and I was checking to see what was
- 4:58Speaker 2: delivered and I was like, oh, yeah, it's all my
- 5:00Speaker 2: cleaning stuff for vacation. So you know, there's a lot
- 5:04Speaker 2: of people heading out of town and staying at hotels
- 5:06Speaker 2: and stuff, and I'm a bit of a germaphobe, So
- 5:10Speaker 2: I was quizzing these two about if they bring cleaning
- 5:13Speaker 2: supplies to the hotel that they're staying at.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Yeah, because I do. If I clean the toilet.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Do you clean get there the bathroom and the toilet
- 5:24Speaker 2: just a little bit more, just to make sure.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Everything's kind of really cleaned and sanitized.
- 5:29Speaker 2: And then I started showing you the products that I
- 5:31Speaker 2: order from the zon that was delivered.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Big fan of the scrubbing bubbles, uh huh.
- 5:35Speaker 2: So there's these pham packs that you can order and
- 5:38Speaker 2: they're disposable, and there's like three or four in the
- 5:40Speaker 2: box and you just zip them open and you dump
- 5:43Speaker 2: the phone pack into the toilet and it goes. It's
- 5:47Speaker 2: really fun to watch, and it's supposed to just completely
- 5:50Speaker 2: sanitize the inside of the toilet. I also purchased these
- 5:54Speaker 2: scrubbing Bubbles disposable toilet wands, uh huh, which you just
- 5:59Speaker 2: clicked the little sponge thing onto the end of it,
- 6:01Speaker 2: and you scrub the hell out of the inside of
- 6:03Speaker 2: the toilet, and then you just go over the trash can.
- 6:06Speaker 1: You go clicklick and.
- 6:07Speaker 2: It clicks off and drops into the trash can. Some
- 6:09Speaker 2: of them you can even flush. Yeah, but yeah, I
- 6:12Speaker 2: scrub the heck out of the toilet and then I
- 6:15Speaker 2: bring my lysol and my lysol wipes and I spray
- 6:17Speaker 2: everything down and when we get to a hotel. It's
- 6:20Speaker 2: a good twenty minute process once we get there. I
- 6:22Speaker 2: don't get that of me going through sanitizing everything.
- 6:25Speaker 1: This is why I've never heard that.
- 6:27Speaker 4: I know part of the reason I love staying at
- 6:29Speaker 4: the hotels. I'm like, oh, they cleaned it for me.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I've seen too many prime Time specials on you know,
- 6:37Speaker 2: how they're cleaning hotels and how they're not cleaning hotels.
- 6:39Speaker 1: You stop watching those, No, I can't. This is important information.
- 6:43Speaker 1: It's bliss.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Don't ever touch that TV remote. I'm gonna tell you
- 6:46Speaker 2: right now. The best hotels are the ones where they
- 6:49Speaker 2: put the remote condom on it. You go in there
- 6:51Speaker 2: and they've got a piece of plastic that is nice
- 6:53Speaker 2: over the remote.
- 6:54Speaker 1: You know you're staying in a nice place.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Yes, you just take it off, and then the next
- 6:57Speaker 2: people come in they put a new remote condom on.
- 7:00Speaker 2: I spray, I take the lisol and I spray all
- 7:04Speaker 2: the handles down in the room, so the front and
- 7:07Speaker 2: the back of the door to the bathroom.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I ain't nobody cleaning that. No, I am not cleaning
- 7:13Speaker 1: any the door in and out of the room.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Imagine how many thousands of people have touched that they're
- 7:18Speaker 2: not cleaning that, and I.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Am trusting the hotel staff like I am. I'm trusting
- 7:23Speaker 3: that they're in cleaning each room for you.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I understands some are probably better than others. But like
- 7:29Speaker 2: any job, you've got good days and bad days, and
- 7:31Speaker 2: I'm sure some of those people are just you know,
- 7:34Speaker 2: they're just flying through, just getting it done, just you know,
- 7:36Speaker 2: counting the hours till they're out of there.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Maybe they're not doing a full clean. I never used
- 7:41Speaker 1: the glasses in there either.
- 7:42Speaker 2: The glasses that they leave, because those wipe down the
- 7:45Speaker 2: toilet and then they'll take that same rag wipe down
- 7:47Speaker 2: the glasses and just send them back next to the
- 7:48Speaker 2: coffee maker.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Water bottle.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Your head, you have built this.
- 7:51Speaker 1: This has been on sixty minutes. Do you take a
- 7:54Speaker 1: black light to the room? Well, okay, have you ever?
- 7:57Speaker 4: No?
- 7:57Speaker 1: I don't want to do that. You never stay at
- 7:59Speaker 1: a place again. I mean that, yeah, bring my own sheet, though.
- 8:04Speaker 4: I am so like, is this a normal thing? Are
- 8:06Speaker 4: people actually preparing for cleanliness at a hotel room?
- 8:11Speaker 3: I go in there thinking it's clean.
- 8:13Speaker 4: I mean, I've heard people talk about bringing sheets and stuff,
- 8:16Speaker 4: and I'm like, that's extreme.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I follow a couple fluencers on the grams.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Yeah, that kind of document how you should be traveling
- 8:26Speaker 2: and the things you should be bringing with you. Like
- 8:29Speaker 2: they straight up a rubber gloves and they show everything
- 8:32Speaker 2: that you need to be cleaning. A lot of them
- 8:33Speaker 2: do bring their own little package of sheets that they
- 8:36Speaker 2: then put on over the sheets that are already on
- 8:39Speaker 2: the bed, so then you're like double protected.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I haven't gotten that far yet, but I'm gonna scrub
- 8:44Speaker 1: the hell out of the toilet once I get there,
- 8:46Speaker 1: and like the handles on the scenk and all that,
- 8:48Speaker 1: and yeah, see, I think.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Can't be the only one kind of part of the fun,
- 8:51Speaker 4: Like what kind of Germans? Maybe a little bit of MRSA.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Is this the trip that I getitis?
- 9:01Speaker 1: Fingers cross.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Comes in handy because I just watched this movie song
- 9:08Speaker 3: Sung Blue. It was the Neil Diamond one. It's the
- 9:12Speaker 3: Neil Diamond one.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Now it's not about Neil Diamond, but it's about a
- 9:16Speaker 4: couple who are Neil Diamond interpreters.
- 9:19Speaker 3: That's what they call themselves, not impersonators there, Neil Diamond interpreters.
- 9:25Speaker 4: Wolver right, it is well, yeah, Hugh Jackman and Kate
- 9:28Speaker 4: Hudson play the lead roles, and uh, it is a
- 9:31Speaker 4: couple and they go by the names Thunder and Lightning.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Wife's name is Thunder, the husband's name is Lightning. But
- 9:40Speaker 4: how they met is like he was an old school
- 9:42Speaker 4: like you know, rock and roller whatever, and they met
- 9:45Speaker 4: doing impersonation. She was a Patsy Klein impersonator and he
- 9:50Speaker 4: did Neil Diamond. And then they teamed up to do
- 9:53Speaker 4: this you know, Thunder and Lightning Neil Diamond act and
- 9:56Speaker 4: they became so famous across the St eight of Wisconsin
- 10:01Speaker 4: and specifically in Milwaukee that they like became really like
- 10:07Speaker 4: locally famous, and there's a whole documentary about him.
- 10:10Speaker 3: There was this movie again that's done something.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I've sung this and I'm a huge Neil Diamond fan.
- 10:16Speaker 1: You cannot stress how good it's good.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean there's some heavy moments, but I think
- 10:23Speaker 4: that they can probably wrap their mind around it.
- 10:25Speaker 3: It's like, right, there's not a whole lot of nudity.
- 10:29Speaker 3: There is any nudity, No.
- 10:30Speaker 4: But it is such a fascinating movie and it like
- 10:33Speaker 4: you know, follows the entire story of what they went through. Now,
- 10:37Speaker 4: from what I understand, it's loosely bassed because there are
- 10:39Speaker 4: some things that aren't completely true once and real people
- 10:46Speaker 4: and everything, But the things that happened within the movie
- 10:49Speaker 4: that has Kate Hudson and Hugh Jackman are all the
- 10:52Speaker 4: things that happened, because that's.
- 10:54Speaker 1: What like when the blades come out of his hand,
- 10:57Speaker 1: that's something completely different.
- 10:58Speaker 4: But once the movie was over, it's one of those
- 11:00Speaker 4: that I just immediately got on the Google and I'm like,
- 11:03Speaker 4: was this true?
- 11:04Speaker 1: Was this true? Was this true?
- 11:05Speaker 2: I gotta ask you, right, I gonna ask you a question.
- 11:07Speaker 2: How is the casting? Did they look like the real
- 11:09Speaker 2: life people?
- 11:09Speaker 4: Here's the thing, Kate Hudson the face spot on like
- 11:13Speaker 4: Claire is the name of the woman, and she looks
- 11:17Speaker 4: so much like her. But again I did some digging
- 11:20Speaker 4: after to see how much is true, and I found
- 11:22Speaker 4: out there is a documentary of the same name called
- 11:25Speaker 4: Song Sung Blue, and it follows them like for a
- 11:30Speaker 4: year's long.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Period, like over years period of time, but it is
- 11:33Speaker 3: actually them. It's home video, home footage of them.
- 11:37Speaker 4: So it shows Claire and what's his name, lightning Mike
- 11:41Speaker 4: is I'm okay, his name is Mike in real life.
- 11:45Speaker 4: But it shows them in their home setting, in their
- 11:48Speaker 4: you know, Milwaukee.
- 11:49Speaker 1: House and so no answer a little off.
- 11:53Speaker 3: They chain smoke like they're lighting one cigarette off the other,
- 11:57Speaker 3: like you know what I mean. There's just so much.
- 11:59Speaker 2: It is funny when you watch documentaries or biopics or whatever,
- 12:02Speaker 2: you know, and then you go back and look at
- 12:03Speaker 2: the real life people and they look nothing like the
- 12:05Speaker 2: hot actors that they're like there to play them, you
- 12:08Speaker 2: know what.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Wolverine and Kate Hudson something.
- 12:10Speaker 3: That's really funny. Something that caught my attention because there's
- 12:13Speaker 3: a scene in the movie.
- 12:14Speaker 4: Where Mike takes Claire and hoists her up on a
- 12:18Speaker 4: washer and it's pretty fun.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Starts like and then shows Kate Hudson in her brawn
- 12:23Speaker 3: underwear and.
- 12:24Speaker 5: She looks kids are watching the No, she just looks
- 12:26Speaker 5: because Kate Hudson is like an act like perfect body, right,
- 12:30Speaker 5: but in this movie she's a little, as she says, soft,
- 12:33Speaker 5: and so she said she gained fifteen pounds to.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Play this role to make it more realistic. But then
- 12:38Speaker 3: I went and saw Claire and I was.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Like, oh, I know, like but again and nothing that
- 12:46Speaker 2: it just it woh no, I don't want a body shape.
- 12:50Speaker 3: It made me feel good that Kate huntson Gate fifteen pounds.
- 12:52Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm a soft too. This is great, you know.
- 12:55Speaker 4: So it just like but I watched the documentary. It
- 12:59Speaker 4: was just very much like, huh, but you have to
- 13:02Speaker 4: watch the movie. If you have time, watch the documentary.
- 13:05Speaker 4: I do think you'll enjoy it. But there's a pearl
- 13:07Speaker 4: jam part in it that really stuck out.
- 13:09Speaker 1: For me and Eddie.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Veteran General has like a theme throughout the movie and
- 13:13Speaker 4: the documentary. So a favorite band wants you to watch
- 13:16Speaker 4: this movie and tell me what you think, because you
- 13:19Speaker 4: do seem to like the recommendations I give you.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I generally you're two for two right now with your recommendations,
- 13:26Speaker 1: then go for three. I go for three. Thank you,
- 13:29Speaker 1: You're welcome.
