- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's your person Michelle back again, and so are you,
- 0:06Speaker 1: which is really impressive. Honestly, at this point, this is
- 0:08Speaker 1: the last time I'm going to say that. I assume
- 0:11Speaker 1: if you got through last week and you were like, nah, nah,
- 0:14Speaker 1: I'm good, I'm gonna stick around, I can't imagine that
- 0:17Speaker 1: there's something else that is going to change your mind
- 0:20Speaker 1: and make you not want to continue to the end
- 0:22Speaker 1: of Banana Fish. So congratulations, I guess that. Being said,
- 0:30Speaker 1: I am in a terrible mood and I do not
- 0:33Speaker 1: know why except that everything is terrible. So it could
- 0:35Speaker 1: be that, but it also could be any number of
- 0:38Speaker 1: other things, I assume, So I'm gonna do my absolute
- 0:40Speaker 1: best to make this not suck. But no promises. This
- 0:44Speaker 1: is kind of a difficult episode to do because there's
- 0:46Speaker 1: so much back and forth between different characters. Because everything's
- 0:50Speaker 1: like happening at the same time. It's really really fast,
- 0:53Speaker 1: So hopefully it'll all make sense. If it doesn't, then
- 0:57Speaker 1: just know that I I guess tried. Not that that's good,
- 1:00Speaker 1: but still, before we start, I just wanted to say
- 1:04Speaker 1: that I'm basically back in line with you guys, like
- 1:07Speaker 1: I'm recording this the week that it's coming out, so
- 1:11Speaker 1: I wanted to just touch base about what's going on
- 1:14Speaker 1: in current anime specifically, I just wanted to say that
- 1:18Speaker 1: dondada on episode seven was like amazing, like the best animated,
- 1:25Speaker 1: most upsetting thing that I have seen produced this year.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Like I don't even know how that happened, but it
- 1:35Speaker 1: was amazing. And I cried, and I didn't expect to
- 1:39Speaker 1: cry during Dondadaan, so yeah. And I'll also say that
- 1:44Speaker 1: right after that, I watched the I don't know what
- 1:46Speaker 1: episode it is of Ree zero, but the new episode
- 1:49Speaker 1: of Ree zero that came out the day before episode
- 1:51Speaker 1: seven of Dondadaan, and it was totally fine and I
- 1:54Speaker 1: teared up, But watching it right after don Dadahan, I
- 1:58Speaker 1: was like, really, I really love this show, but I
- 2:03Speaker 1: just wish it was better. And that makes me really sad.
- 2:06Speaker 1: That's kind of how I've been feeling about re zero
- 2:09Speaker 1: this season. And I don't think it's anybody's fault. I
- 2:13Speaker 1: think maybe just kind of the arcs that we're doing
- 2:16Speaker 1: right now are just not something that like I'm just
- 2:19Speaker 1: totally into, which is sad. But I was gonna say, like,
- 2:23Speaker 1: maybe that's what it's like growing up. But like I
- 2:26Speaker 1: watched the first season of re Zero when I was
- 2:28Speaker 1: in my thirties, so it's and I'm fucking watching Banana Fish.
- 2:33Speaker 1: We're all watching Banana Fish, the show Joe that was
- 2:36Speaker 1: made for young women. So I don't think that's it,
- 2:40Speaker 1: but who knows. So now that I'm done whatevering about that,
- 2:45Speaker 1: I'm not even sure what that was. Let's talk about
- 2:49Speaker 1: Banana Fish episode sixteen, which is called Low the Poor Peacock,
- 2:55Speaker 1: and that is also the title of an f Scott
- 2:58Speaker 1: Fitzgerald thing manuscript that he wrote in nineteen thirty five.
- 3:05Speaker 1: It just didn't get released though while he was I
- 3:07Speaker 1: guess alive. It was declined by the Saturday Evening Post
- 3:12Speaker 1: and Ladies Home Journal, and it was eventually published in
- 3:16Speaker 1: Esquire in nineteen seventy one, but like in an abridged
- 3:20Speaker 1: edited version and not edited by him. So it's super weird.
- 3:25Speaker 1: What's even weirder is normally when I look these titles up,
- 3:28Speaker 1: I immediately get tons and tons of information on them
- 3:31Speaker 1: because we're talking about works that are so old. With
- 3:34Speaker 1: this one, I didn't even get a description of what
- 3:37Speaker 1: it's about. And like the fourth result on Google was
- 3:41Speaker 1: about this episode of Banana Fish, and so was like
- 3:43Speaker 1: the fifth and sixth, and that's only after I put
- 3:46Speaker 1: the word book in to low the poor peacock. So
- 3:51Speaker 1: I think that this manuscript, short story or whatever is
- 3:56Speaker 1: almost getting out shined by episode sixteen of Banana Fish.
- 3:59Speaker 1: So high five Episode sixteen of Bana Fish. Yeah, okay,
- 4:07Speaker 1: let's let's do it. So I'm sure you remember last week,
- 4:11Speaker 1: because you will always remember last week. I know I
- 4:14Speaker 1: will never be able to get that chant out of
- 4:18Speaker 1: my head. Yeah, that happened. Ash had just escaped. Well,
- 4:23Speaker 1: I mean he'd escaped the room. He's still in the facility,
- 4:25Speaker 1: so I think the last thing we saw was him
- 4:29Speaker 1: leaving the room that he had been locked in. So
- 4:32Speaker 1: we actually come in at that exact spot, but from
- 4:36Speaker 1: the exterior shot in the hallway, So we see the
- 4:40Speaker 1: handle turn and the door open and Ash exits the room,
- 4:44Speaker 1: and behind him we see that that guard is dead
- 4:47Speaker 1: on the bed. Yay. Ash looks both ways before like
- 4:52Speaker 1: venturing out into the hallway, which is relatively quiet, like
- 4:56Speaker 1: nothing's going on, and he's just kind of walking and
- 4:58Speaker 1: looking around, you might, and then we hear a voice say, hey,
- 5:03Speaker 1: that chick from last night some something and we see
- 5:07Speaker 1: that two doctors are like walking on the other side
- 5:11Speaker 1: of the corner, and Ash ducks against the wall so
- 5:14Speaker 1: he can't be seen, and then like turns around in
- 5:17Speaker 1: heads in the other direction, which is nice. I guess
- 5:21Speaker 1: he's not going to kill them, yay. The second doctor
- 5:25Speaker 1: is like, oh, go to hell, and then they turn
- 5:27Speaker 1: the corner, so now they are on the same part
- 5:30Speaker 1: of the walkway that Ash is, and the doctor continues,
- 5:36Speaker 1: I had my eyes on that redhead first, you know.
- 5:38Speaker 1: And then we cut to just their feet as they're walking,
- 5:41Speaker 1: and we are seeing their feet like through the grates
- 5:44Speaker 1: of an HVAC register or like an air intake. It
- 5:48Speaker 1: kind of looks like an air intake. And then we
- 5:50Speaker 1: see that Ash is inside. Now before we continue, I
- 5:55Speaker 1: just wanted to point out that most evidence I have
- 5:58Speaker 1: suggests that you could not or walk inside an air
- 6:02Speaker 1: intake vent or any sort of hvacvent. It's not gonna
- 6:08Speaker 1: support your weight. But I did on Reddit, maybe like
- 6:11Speaker 1: last year or something here, someone who said that they
- 6:14Speaker 1: were an HVAC technician or see that is say that
- 6:19Speaker 1: you totally could walk or crawl in an air duct vent.
- 6:24Speaker 1: It's just that there are all these like dampers and stuff,
- 6:27Speaker 1: so you really wouldn't be able to get very far
- 6:29Speaker 1: because of how complex it is in there, So take
- 6:32Speaker 1: that as what you will. Really you can't move around
- 6:35Speaker 1: in an HVAC duct, but maybe this one is special.
- 6:39Speaker 1: And since everybody gets this wrong and does it, I'll
- 6:43Speaker 1: just give it to them anyway. Ash kind of like
- 6:47Speaker 1: crouches down and like walks down the vent, which I
- 6:51Speaker 1: guess is pretty wide and tall. I guess they need
- 6:54Speaker 1: a lot of air for this building. It is a
- 6:56Speaker 1: very large building, so who really knows. We go to
- 6:59Speaker 1: two guards who were in the camera room, like the
- 7:02Speaker 1: main security room with all like the screens, and they
- 7:06Speaker 1: are talking and then they hear like a beep. One
- 7:08Speaker 1: of them is reading Playboy by the way, and the
- 7:11Speaker 1: first guy is like, someone trip the infrared camera and
- 7:14Speaker 1: we see like one of the screens and it says
- 7:16Speaker 1: like obstacle detection and it has like a blinking bred
- 7:19Speaker 1: dot where the obstacle is. And the second guard says,
- 7:22Speaker 1: a shaft on the fourteenth floor of the north ward
- 7:25Speaker 1: And the first guard's like, what, that's right by that
- 7:27Speaker 1: punk's room, and he like takes off running, and so
- 7:30Speaker 1: does the other guard. Then we go the opening theme.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Yay back from the opening. We're in a darkened probably
- 7:38Speaker 1: lab as Ash exits the ducts and he opens a
- 7:42Speaker 1: drawer that's filled with like medical tools, and we hear
- 7:45Speaker 1: a voice from outside of the room say he couldn't
- 7:48Speaker 1: have gone far. Find him. We then cut to doctor Mannerheim,
- 7:51Speaker 1: who is talking into a phone and he's like a breakout,
- 7:54Speaker 1: find him at all costs, use a tranquilizer gun, got it,
- 7:57Speaker 1: and he hangs up, doesn't even say bye. We see
- 8:00Speaker 1: now that Zakarrev is sitting near Mannerheim and he's like,
- 8:03Speaker 1: what's going on? And Mannerheim kind of forgets that he
- 8:06Speaker 1: wasn't alone, and he kind of like jumps and he's like, uh,
- 8:10Speaker 1: a boy that we had detained has escaped, and Zakarrev's
- 8:14Speaker 1: like a boy, just a kid. And then we get
- 8:18Speaker 1: an even wider shot and we see that Golzin is
- 8:20Speaker 1: also there, and Mannerheim is like, he's not just any child.
- 8:25Speaker 1: He's a ruthless criminal that's killed dozens of people and
- 8:27Speaker 1: he's a genius with an IQ over two hundred. Oh,
- 8:30Speaker 1: that's such a nice way to describe him. Zacharv's like hmm,
- 8:34Speaker 1: but he's still a kid. Nonetheless, just hurry up and
- 8:37Speaker 1: catch him. He like SIPs some tea, and then we
- 8:40Speaker 1: see that Golzine is staring at Zakrev and he thinks,
- 8:44Speaker 1: that's right, go ahead and underestimate him. You'd never understand.
- 8:48Speaker 1: He's a one of a kind, bewitching devil that I created, Diino,
- 8:52Speaker 1: What the fuck is wrong with you? Then we see
- 8:55Speaker 1: I guess Dino's imagination where like Ash is like in
- 9:00Speaker 1: a suit surrounded by pink paeonies, thanks, and there's like
- 9:06Speaker 1: light anomaly, like little orbs, and everything is really softly lit.
- 9:09Speaker 1: And I can tell you right now that p andies
- 9:12Speaker 1: in Japan represent bravery, honor, good fortune, and also romantic love. Yay. Anyway,
- 9:20Speaker 1: Dino continues to think intelligence and strength, unbreakable mentality, you
- 9:25Speaker 1: keep trying though, unparalleled grace and beauty. He like kind
- 9:29Speaker 1: of fades into the scene and Ash fades out, and
- 9:31Speaker 1: he continues, it's my right as his creator to let
- 9:34Speaker 1: him live or make him perish. What the fuck, dude, Yeah,
- 9:39Speaker 1: there's there's some things going on here that I will
- 9:41Speaker 1: talk about at the end. Anyway, we cut to a
- 9:43Speaker 1: guard running up to another guard in the hallway near
- 9:46Speaker 1: the guard station, and the first guard's like found him,
- 9:49Speaker 1: and the second guard says he's not in Block B.
- 9:51Speaker 1: A third guard enters a scene with a walkie and
- 9:54Speaker 1: one of the guards says, security room, lockdown, Block C.
- 9:58Speaker 1: You two recheck Block A. I'm going to block SEA.
- 10:01Speaker 1: They all take off in their perspective directions. Ash comes
- 10:05Speaker 1: around the corner and they have all left this guard
- 10:08Speaker 1: station unmanned, and he goes into it because they're stupid,
- 10:13Speaker 1: and he puts the key card into the reader because
- 10:16Speaker 1: remember it's the dead guy's key card, and a bunch
- 10:19Speaker 1: of stuff comes up on the screen, including the name
- 10:21Speaker 1: of the guard that he killed, which is Steve A. Weller.
- 10:24Speaker 1: By the way, it doesn't matter though, because he's dead anyway.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Ash is typing something in to the computer and he thinks,
- 10:31Speaker 1: come on, come on. He clicks on some stuff and
- 10:33Speaker 1: then gasps. We see the screen and it kind of
- 10:36Speaker 1: looks like blueprints or like the layout of the building
- 10:39Speaker 1: or something, and we have a really close up shot
- 10:41Speaker 1: of his eyes as he's reading, and they look beautiful.
- 10:44Speaker 1: By the way. I don't know why I wanted to
- 10:46Speaker 1: tell you that there, but I wrote it in the margin,
- 10:48Speaker 1: so now you know. Anyway, he says, found it, and
- 10:52Speaker 1: then one of the guards comes back with an earshot
- 10:55Speaker 1: and he's like, there he is. Ash shoots him through
- 10:59Speaker 1: the glass that's surrounding the guard station and he makes
- 11:04Speaker 1: a run for it. We go to Max and Shounci
- 11:07Speaker 1: with the group of people you know, visiting as the
- 11:10Speaker 1: alarm starts going off, and then we cut to doctor
- 11:13Speaker 1: Mannerheim in the office again on the phone and he says,
- 11:17Speaker 1: turn the alarm off, you'll frighten the visitors. We go
- 11:21Speaker 1: back to the tour group and the alarm stops. Good
- 11:23Speaker 1: job crisis management. One of the women in the group
- 11:28Speaker 1: is like, what's going on? And I think she's saying
- 11:30Speaker 1: this to the guy running the group because he goes
- 11:32Speaker 1: hold on for a second, and he like walks off.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Max puts his hand on shunichi shoulder and quietly says,
- 11:38Speaker 1: this is our chance. They leave the group. We cut
- 11:43Speaker 1: to Ash doing hallway Ash stuff like running around and
- 11:46Speaker 1: looking around, and then he pauses at the intersection of
- 11:49Speaker 1: a couple of hallways as some panic guards like run
- 11:52Speaker 1: by and as just like idiots. He opens a door
- 11:56Speaker 1: and it's Alexis's room, he's going to see Alexis. That's nice.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Alexis just kind of stares at him with that blank,
- 12:04Speaker 1: but really sad expression, and Ash says, you're coming with me.
- 12:09Speaker 1: You're a living proof. We then cut to a scientist
- 12:12Speaker 1: addressing the group of visitors and he says, a small
- 12:16Speaker 1: fire is broken out. For your safety, we have to
- 12:18Speaker 1: cancel today's tour. Everyone looks sad and they're kind of
- 12:21Speaker 1: talking amongst themselves. Really they should just leave immediately because
- 12:24Speaker 1: apparently there's a fire. We then kind of pan up
- 12:27Speaker 1: to where a doctor is talking into a phone on
- 12:30Speaker 1: the balcony above and he says, we're sending them away
- 12:34Speaker 1: right now. Don't worry. They haven't figured out what's happening.
- 12:36Speaker 1: So some random dude now like, walks up to this
- 12:39Speaker 1: doctor and he's like, doctor, two of the visitors are missing.
- 12:45Speaker 1: The newsweek reporters that was fast mexans she needs you're
- 12:49Speaker 1: not doing a good job. We go to Mannorheim, who
- 12:53Speaker 1: into the phone says what reporters and Goalzine's like, what's
- 12:58Speaker 1: the matter now. Doctor Mannerheim says, uh, it seems that
- 13:04Speaker 1: two of the visitors have gone missing. Oh and side note,
- 13:09Speaker 1: I've noticed in the past couple of episodes that I've
- 13:11Speaker 1: been going back and forth between calling Dino Golzin and Dino,
- 13:14Speaker 1: I hope that you know who I'm talking about, and
- 13:16Speaker 1: it's the same person. I think that you probably do.
- 13:19Speaker 1: But since I don't do that with a lot of characters,
- 13:21Speaker 1: I figured I should point that out. Anyway, back to
- 13:24Speaker 1: the story, Dino says, what good is investing in a
- 13:27Speaker 1: facility if you can't put it to use. He's smoking
- 13:30Speaker 1: a cigar, by the way, He's having a really nice time,
- 13:34Speaker 1: and Mannerheim's like, forgive me, I'm just a scientist. This
- 13:38Speaker 1: is way out of my league. Oh you poor baby, sir,
- 13:42Speaker 1: Please tell us what we should do. And Dino's like,
- 13:45Speaker 1: I'm no longer the man in charge here, Aren't you
- 13:48Speaker 1: asking the wrong person for help? Zachara stands and he's like, fine,
- 13:54Speaker 1: I'll take command, and he kind of starts to walk off,
- 13:57Speaker 1: and he's like, take me to the security center. He
- 13:59Speaker 1: stops and looks back at Golsen. Since that's what you wish,
- 14:02Speaker 1: I believe. Dino just says thank you, and he puts
- 14:07Speaker 1: his acar out in the ash tray and thinks, let's
- 14:10Speaker 1: see how you handle this, it's not gonna be good.
- 14:14Speaker 1: We go to Ash, who is kind of coming around
- 14:16Speaker 1: a corner, and he's like, okay, now's our chance, and
- 14:19Speaker 1: he pulls Alexis by the hand, and I think they're
- 14:21Speaker 1: just like running down the hall and a nurse comes
- 14:24Speaker 1: out of a doorway behind them and is like someone
- 14:27Speaker 1: a patient is loose. Ash flinches and he's like run
- 14:31Speaker 1: and they run. So they were walking before. Sorry anyway.
- 14:35Speaker 1: A guard approaches, you know, where they had been before
- 14:37Speaker 1: they started running, and sees them running and into the
- 14:40Speaker 1: walkie he says, we found the escapee. A guard at
- 14:44Speaker 1: the control center into the mic says northward, northward, fourteenth
- 14:47Speaker 1: floor block C. Mannerheim, Zacharb, and Golzine are all in
- 14:51Speaker 1: the control room now with the guards and Goalsin is
- 14:55Speaker 1: just kind of hanging out in the back on a
- 14:56Speaker 1: couch watching this while everyone else is kind of panicking
- 14:59Speaker 1: and at the monitors again having the best time. Zacreb's
- 15:04Speaker 1: like two escapees. I thought it was just the boy.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Mannorheim says well, Zacreb's like shut down BOXI send the
- 15:13Speaker 1: security guards back to Ash and Alexis looking around the corner.
- 15:18Speaker 1: They hear like this loud metallicke sound and look over
- 15:23Speaker 1: and like those big security gates kind of you know,
- 15:26Speaker 1: like a you would pull down in front of a
- 15:27Speaker 1: store or almost like a garage door are like coming
- 15:31Speaker 1: down and you know, sectioning off the hallway. And Ash
- 15:35Speaker 1: is like, let's go, old man. He tosses Alexis, and
- 15:39Speaker 1: Alexis kind of like hits the ground and like slides
- 15:42Speaker 1: under the gate somehow, and Ash also slides under just
- 15:46Speaker 1: like the very last second, and the guards get there,
- 15:50Speaker 1: but it's too late, and a guard is like, oh shit.
- 15:53Speaker 1: We go to Shoonichi and Max, who are looking at
- 15:55Speaker 1: a map. Max is pointing to the eastward, which is
- 15:59Speaker 1: not directly connected to the northward by the way, which
- 16:01Speaker 1: is where Ashes, and he says, we're right around here.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Shunichi's like, the lab is in the north building. Max says,
- 16:09Speaker 1: let's start there. Good job, Max. Now we cut to
- 16:13Speaker 1: elevator doors opening and we hear Ash breathing really hard.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Ashes at this point carrying a Lexus on his back
- 16:19Speaker 1: and waiting for the elevator, and he says, why is
- 16:23Speaker 1: this old man so heavy? He walks into the elevator.
- 16:27Speaker 1: We cut to a guard at the guard station looking
- 16:29Speaker 1: at the cameras, and then we hear another guard say
- 16:31Speaker 1: over like the waukie or the intercom stop elevator fourteen,
- 16:35Speaker 1: shut the corridor. The guard at the station's like, got it,
- 16:39Speaker 1: and Zacharov says he's cornered. Now. The elevator shakes as
- 16:43Speaker 1: it comes to a stop. Ash rolls up his pant
- 16:46Speaker 1: leg and we see that he has four steps taped
- 16:48Speaker 1: to his leg and he shoves them between the doors
- 16:52Speaker 1: and he manages to force them open. It's really fucking
- 16:55Speaker 1: cool and I'm glad that he brought medical tools. He
- 16:58Speaker 1: looks both ways and the gates are down around them,
- 17:01Speaker 1: but there's nobody there, Like the guards are outside of
- 17:03Speaker 1: these gates, and he says, we're locked in. Then we
- 17:07Speaker 1: cut to Ash unscrewing the top hatch of the elevator.
- 17:11Speaker 1: You know that you can get to the elevator shaft
- 17:12Speaker 1: through He is unscrewing it with the four steps, which
- 17:16Speaker 1: is so fucking cool and resourceful, and he says, sorry,
- 17:20Speaker 1: old man, this will only take a second, and we
- 17:23Speaker 1: see that the reason he can reach the access panel
- 17:25Speaker 1: at all is because he's standing on Alex's back like
- 17:27Speaker 1: a stepping stool. We go two three guards who are
- 17:30Speaker 1: in the stairwell, and one of the guards into the walk.
- 17:33Speaker 1: He says, the elevator is stopped on the twelfth floor.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Send more backup the voice on the walk. He says,
- 17:39Speaker 1: got it. We go to Max and Shunichi that are
- 17:41Speaker 1: at the bottom of the stairs and Max says, shit,
- 17:44Speaker 1: someone's coming down. Shunici says we're trapped. They're not trapped.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Max opens a door and he's like, this way, there's
- 17:50Speaker 1: a door right there, Shoonniji, I don't know why this
- 17:52Speaker 1: was so hard for you. We cut to the gate
- 17:55Speaker 1: raising and the three guards rushing into the area with
- 18:00Speaker 1: the elevator. The first guard gets the elevator first and
- 18:03Speaker 1: raises his gun and it's empty. The second guard is like,
- 18:07Speaker 1: we're too late, Yes you are. We cut back to
- 18:10Speaker 1: Max and Shunici, who are hiding in an air intake.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Again not sure this is possible, but everybody's doing it today.
- 18:17Speaker 1: And this is as the guards like move past. Then
- 18:20Speaker 1: they come out. At least they're not crawling in it,
- 18:22Speaker 1: and Max says it's no use, we can't use the stairs,
- 18:26Speaker 1: and Shunici's like, what about that? But then we cut away,
- 18:30Speaker 1: so we don't know what that means. Thanks. We go
- 18:33Speaker 1: back to Ash with his ear to the ground. Well,
- 18:35Speaker 1: actually he's standing on top of the elevator, so his
- 18:38Speaker 1: ear is to the top of the elevator and Alexis
- 18:42Speaker 1: is sitting next to him, and he says, Okay, they're gone.
- 18:47Speaker 1: He removes the hatch which he had put back so
- 18:50Speaker 1: that they can go back down, and he sees feet
- 18:53Speaker 1: entering the elevator and he like quickly puts it back
- 18:55Speaker 1: on and he's like, they're still here, And of course
- 18:58Speaker 1: they are not. It's Max Shunichi, but he didn't see
- 19:02Speaker 1: enough to know it was them. Anyway. Shunichi presses a
- 19:05Speaker 1: button and he's like, no good, it's been shut down.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Max says, move over, and he like goes and presses
- 19:12Speaker 1: the call button and he says, we've spotted the escapees.
- 19:15Speaker 1: We're going after them. Start elevator fourteen. I have no
- 19:18Speaker 1: idea how he knew what elevator it was, but whatever.
- 19:21Speaker 1: A voice on the other end says Roger, and they
- 19:24Speaker 1: grin at each other. Oh God, and the elevator starts
- 19:27Speaker 1: moving with Ash and Alexis on top of it. Great.
- 19:31Speaker 1: It stops and opens to a guard I guess on
- 19:34Speaker 1: the next floor, who is surprised to see Max and
- 19:36Speaker 1: Shounichi inside, and he raises his gun, but Max like
- 19:40Speaker 1: tackles him and his gun like tumbles to the ground,
- 19:43Speaker 1: and Shunichi presses the door close button and he's like
- 19:47Speaker 1: Max and Max runs back towards the elevator and the
- 19:51Speaker 1: guard is like really close behind and the guard tackles
- 19:53Speaker 1: him this time into the elevator, and the elevator shakes
- 19:57Speaker 1: and Ashes like what the fuck and he's like trying
- 19:59Speaker 1: to stay baun. It's on top of the elevator and
- 20:01Speaker 1: it starts moving again. Shoonichi is like, you little and
- 20:05Speaker 1: he headbuts the guard, which is pretty cool. The elevator
- 20:08Speaker 1: jolts and Alexis falls, so it wasn't actually that cool.
- 20:12Speaker 1: We watch his glasses tumble down the shaft and then
- 20:16Speaker 1: we see that Ash is holding him by the wrist,
- 20:18Speaker 1: just barely. He's like laying down on top of the
- 20:22Speaker 1: elevator in order to hang on to him. Ash says,
- 20:26Speaker 1: stay calm, I'll save you, and he really he only
- 20:28Speaker 1: has him with one hand. We cut to the guard
- 20:31Speaker 1: station and one of the guards says, emergency shut down
- 20:34Speaker 1: elevator fourteen. Fuck. Another guard says something's not right. Max
- 20:39Speaker 1: and Shonnici pushed the elevator doors open, and Max is like,
- 20:43Speaker 1: the colost is clear, let's go. No help Ash. One
- 20:47Speaker 1: of the guards is looking at the camera and he says,
- 20:50Speaker 1: move it to the twentieth floor and check. We cut
- 20:54Speaker 1: back to Ash, who is now pulling Alexis up and
- 20:57Speaker 1: he's about to grab onto his right hand, so his
- 20:59Speaker 1: right hand is almost at the top like at where
- 21:03Speaker 1: Ash is standing now, and as Ash goes to try
- 21:08Speaker 1: to grab his hand, the elevator shakes and starts to
- 21:11Speaker 1: move again, and Alexis, instead of grabbing Ash's hand, has
- 21:17Speaker 1: to grab his leg in order to not fall, and
- 21:20Speaker 1: this pulled Ash off of the elevator. He manages to
- 21:24Speaker 1: grab on like to fall in, so he's the top
- 21:28Speaker 1: of his body is still on top of the elevator
- 21:31Speaker 1: and Alexis has him by the ankle, but this is
- 21:35Speaker 1: making him really hard for him to get up now,
- 21:38Speaker 1: so there's not much for him to grip on on
- 21:41Speaker 1: top of the elevator, and he starts to slide off,
- 21:44Speaker 1: so we get to a point where he is just
- 21:46Speaker 1: barely holding on by his fingertips because there's like a
- 21:49Speaker 1: little bit of a like a lip so Ash, who
- 21:52Speaker 1: is clearly worn out and winsing in pain because he's
- 21:55Speaker 1: not totally healed, is just kind of dang going by
- 22:00Speaker 1: his fingertips as Alexis clutches onto his ankle and they
- 22:05Speaker 1: hang off of the elevator. The elevator reaches the twenty
- 22:09Speaker 1: floor and two guards are waiting at the doors with
- 22:12Speaker 1: their guns raised, but they drop them when they see
- 22:14Speaker 1: that all that's inside is their passed out guard buddy
- 22:17Speaker 1: that Shanizi headbutted back to Ash, who is barely hanging
- 22:21Speaker 1: on at this point, he exhales, slowly, don't move now,
- 22:25Speaker 1: old man Alexis looks terrified. Ash slowly somehow manages to
- 22:33Speaker 1: lift the leg that has Alexis's hand gripping it, so
- 22:39Speaker 1: he eventually is able to grab Alexis's hand, and then,
- 22:43Speaker 1: with just one hand and a ton of effort, manages
- 22:46Speaker 1: to pull him up enough that he can also grab
- 22:49Speaker 1: onto the lip of the elevator. Once Alexis is secured,
- 22:55Speaker 1: Ash climbs back onto the elevator and he reaches down
- 22:59Speaker 1: for Alexi and he says, almost there. He grabs Alexis's
- 23:04Speaker 1: wrist and he pulls him the rest of the way up.
- 23:06Speaker 1: They both collapse totally exhausted on the top of the
- 23:09Speaker 1: elevator and Ash is laying on his back breathing really hard,
- 23:13Speaker 1: as Alexis is just kind of on his knees. We
- 23:16Speaker 1: cut two two sad, sweaty looking guards looking down at
- 23:20Speaker 1: the floor, and Zakarv says, you lost sight of him,
- 23:24Speaker 1: He's just a child. Shame on and orderly opens the
- 23:27Speaker 1: door and he's like, ash Lynx took Professor Dawson with him.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Both Mannerheim and Zakrev gasp, awesome, And we hear Dino
- 23:36Speaker 1: just like laughing on the side of the room and
- 23:39Speaker 1: everyone looks over and he's like, forgive me. So now
- 23:43Speaker 1: we have four people on the loose. Is there a
- 23:46Speaker 1: magician amongst us? Zacharov's like you think this is funny.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Dino's like, absolutely not. This is quite a troubling turn
- 23:54Speaker 1: of events. Barren and Zacharv's like, enough with this farce.
- 23:58Speaker 1: This is no time to be obstinate or are you
- 24:01Speaker 1: waiting for me to ask for your help? And Dino's like,
- 24:04Speaker 1: if I were you, I would disable that stolen id.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Mannerheim to the guards is like, get on it, and
- 24:09Speaker 1: Dino thinks, too late, he must have already gotten the
- 24:12Speaker 1: information he needed. Probably. Zakrev says what else, and Dino's like,
- 24:18Speaker 1: that's it. Zakarv says, fine, have it your way, but
- 24:22Speaker 1: the Foundation will hear about this, and he kind of
- 24:25Speaker 1: walks off, and Dino's like, as you wish. Zakref to
- 24:29Speaker 1: the guards, is like, stop all of the elevators in
- 24:32Speaker 1: the north ward, place security guards on all floors. Shoot
- 24:35Speaker 1: the escapes. Upon discovery, Mannerheim gasps and he's like, barn,
- 24:40Speaker 1: that boy is a valuable sample with an IQ of
- 24:42Speaker 1: two hundred. And Zachara cuts him off and he's like,
- 24:45Speaker 1: that's exactly why he's too dangerous to let live. He
- 24:48Speaker 1: even took Professor Dawson with him. Think about what happened
- 24:51Speaker 1: if he's exposed to the media. Back to Ash and Alexis.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Alexis is kind of crumpled over on the top of
- 24:57Speaker 1: the elevator. They're still totally out of breath and stuff,
- 25:01Speaker 1: and Ash says, stay right there, old man. He opens
- 25:05Speaker 1: the hatch again and there's a guard inside and he's yawning. Sorry,
- 25:09Speaker 1: I can't say Yaunie without Johnnie. Ash starts to lower
- 25:15Speaker 1: himself down into the elevator, and the guard must have
- 25:20Speaker 1: hurt him slightly, because he looks over and Ash just
- 25:23Speaker 1: like kicks him right in the face, and he like
- 25:25Speaker 1: hits the wall and slides down the elevator. Ash presses
- 25:30Speaker 1: the door open button and he says, no good, but
- 25:33Speaker 1: there's a duck for the main garbage shoot on this floor.
- 25:36Speaker 1: We see him now walking forward slowly carrying a Lexus
- 25:39Speaker 1: on his back again, who looks like he might be
- 25:41Speaker 1: asleep at this point, either that or he's just so
- 25:44Speaker 1: exhausted he's keeping his eyes closed, which is kind of sad,
- 25:47Speaker 1: and Ash says, damn, he's heavy. What am I doing
- 25:50Speaker 1: lugging around an old man straight out of luck these days?
- 25:54Speaker 1: They enter some kind of room that looks like a
- 25:58Speaker 1: boiler room or a supply closet or something. It has
- 26:01Speaker 1: like pipes and stuff around, and it looked like it
- 26:04Speaker 1: had maybe like a water heater or something, but I
- 26:07Speaker 1: don't really know. Ash opens what I assume is the
- 26:11Speaker 1: trash chute, since we've just talked about that, and looks
- 26:13Speaker 1: down into it and we get a shot of it,
- 26:16Speaker 1: and it's just this dark, almost bottomless looking, wide square
- 26:21Speaker 1: shut which isn't really as dirty as I would expect
- 26:25Speaker 1: actually from a trash chute, but who knows, maybe they
- 26:28Speaker 1: clean it. Ash is like, give me a break. We
- 26:32Speaker 1: cut to Max, who is opening a door into what
- 26:35Speaker 1: I guess is a hallway, and he says, here's the
- 26:38Speaker 1: inpatient's woard. He and Shounichi walked down the hall, passing
- 26:42Speaker 1: by patients who basically just look like zombies, and Max
- 26:47Speaker 1: is like, are these all patients? I mean you'd assume
- 26:50Speaker 1: so since it's the inpatient board, but whatever. Max Shunichi
- 26:54Speaker 1: is looking through kind of like a glass partition where
- 26:57Speaker 1: there is more patient it's like sitting and stuff, and
- 27:01Speaker 1: he's like, something's wrong. They all seem so lifeless, like
- 27:05Speaker 1: they're dolls. We see a couple more totally expressionless individuals
- 27:10Speaker 1: sitting and just kind of like looking off into the distance.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Then we hear a voice from behind them say who
- 27:18Speaker 1: are you? Someone help? They look back and the nurses
- 27:21Speaker 1: behind them and they take off running and Max is
- 27:23Speaker 1: like run, Shunichi, yeah, And then they are in the stairwell,
- 27:28Speaker 1: headed down, and Max thinks I knew this wasn't just
- 27:31Speaker 1: a medical facility. What have these patients been treated with?
- 27:35Speaker 1: Max stops as the door opens like half a flight
- 27:37Speaker 1: below them, and a guard raises a gun at them,
- 27:39Speaker 1: and he's like freeze. Max slides down the banister pretty cool,
- 27:44Speaker 1: by the way, and he kicks the guy in the face,
- 27:46Speaker 1: sending him backwards into a door that just I guess
- 27:49Speaker 1: was open because it just gives in, and the dude
- 27:52Speaker 1: falls into this room that looks like maybe a supply closet.
- 27:55Speaker 1: He then grabs the collapsed on the ground guard by
- 27:59Speaker 1: his collar and he picks him up and he shoves
- 28:02Speaker 1: him into the trash chute. Oh no, and then he's like,
- 28:05Speaker 1: time to go to the dump and he kicks him
- 28:07Speaker 1: the rest of the way in fuck because Ash is
- 28:13Speaker 1: climbing down the garbage chute ladder, which I didn't know
- 28:17Speaker 1: that there was, with Alexis on his back, and he
- 28:19Speaker 1: hears a sound and he looks up. Oh no. Ash
- 28:23Speaker 1: kind of like gets as close up against the ladder
- 28:27Speaker 1: as possible and he says, duck. Alexis does not duck.
- 28:30Speaker 1: He does the opposite of ducking, which is that he
- 28:32Speaker 1: looks up and the guard is like coming down the
- 28:35Speaker 1: elevator shaft really quickly, and Ash kind of like clears
- 28:39Speaker 1: him because he's against the wall, but Alexis is not,
- 28:42Speaker 1: and he gets knocked in the head by the guard
- 28:44Speaker 1: and that dislodges him from Ash. Alexis manages to grab
- 28:48Speaker 1: hold of Ash's neck, strangling him. Instead of falling down
- 28:53Speaker 1: the shaft, which I guess is better, Ash is of
- 28:58Speaker 1: course being choked and he loses and they both just fall,
- 29:01Speaker 1: landing really really hard in the garbage. I guess they're
- 29:05Speaker 1: both basically okay, and Ash is like lying there, win
- 29:09Speaker 1: saying and he says, you old dumb ass. He groans
- 29:13Speaker 1: and sits up, and he has like a banana peel
- 29:15Speaker 1: on his head and something that looks like ramen and
- 29:18Speaker 1: like a little fish cake maybe on his shoulder, and
- 29:21Speaker 1: he like cringes, and he's like the smell. Who the
- 29:25Speaker 1: hell would throw this away? Anyways? It was Max. Anyway,
- 29:31Speaker 1: back to Max and Shunichi, who are leaving the supply
- 29:34Speaker 1: closet after ruining ash Is life again and Max says,
- 29:38Speaker 1: let's go. They hear a guncock and they flinch. Two
- 29:42Speaker 1: guards are in the stairwell and they have their guns
- 29:45Speaker 1: pointed at them, and the first guard says, stop right there.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Back to Ash as he opens like this little exit
- 29:54Speaker 1: from the garbage shoot into the alley where there's like
- 29:57Speaker 1: some trash cans and stuff or not, and now he
- 30:00Speaker 1: I don't really know where this is, but it's outside.
- 30:03Speaker 1: He gets out and he stands up, actually pretty impressed
- 30:06Speaker 1: with himself. He is doing a really good job despite
- 30:10Speaker 1: the circumstances, and he thinks, latest security system, my ass.
- 30:15Speaker 1: He runs over to the corner and sees kind of
- 30:18Speaker 1: the exterior guard station by the exit gate, and then
- 30:22Speaker 1: he looks over and he sees a parking lot full
- 30:24Speaker 1: of ambulances and he thinks, if I can just get
- 30:27Speaker 1: one of those, and then hears a voice say shut
- 30:30Speaker 1: your mouth. We pan over because they're in the same area,
- 30:34Speaker 1: and we see Max and Shoonnichi being escorted by two
- 30:37Speaker 1: guards with their hands behind their heads. Max says, I
- 30:41Speaker 1: told you we just got lost. Shoonnichi quietly to Max
- 30:45Speaker 1: says we're in deep trouble now, and Max very quietly
- 30:49Speaker 1: says back, just play along. It's not like they're gonna
- 30:52Speaker 1: kill us or anything. Then we go to Zacharov and
- 30:55Speaker 1: he says, kill them. They must have told the boy
- 31:00Speaker 1: what to do. He couldn't have thought of taking Dawson
- 31:02Speaker 1: all by himself, and Dino, who is still sitting on
- 31:05Speaker 1: the couch, says, I don't believe that's the smart thing
- 31:08Speaker 1: to do. Oh look at Dino going to bat for them.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Zakarov says, who asked you? Back to Max and Shunci
- 31:15Speaker 1: being led inside, while Ash is crouched down like around
- 31:20Speaker 1: the corner, watching and he looks so confused and like
- 31:25Speaker 1: comically horrified by this turn of events, and he kind
- 31:31Speaker 1: of stands but then slides back to the ground and
- 31:34Speaker 1: he's like, what the hell are they doing here? We
- 31:38Speaker 1: get kind of this shot of Jack a lantern surrounding him,
- 31:43Speaker 1: and he's like, why are they here? Why does it
- 31:46Speaker 1: have to be now? The pumpkins like turn into like
- 31:49Speaker 1: Max Shounci and Golzen heads, and one agy that looks
- 31:52Speaker 1: really kind of embarrassed, and he continues, why am I
- 31:56Speaker 1: always being pulled down by old guys? And then he yells,
- 32:00Speaker 1: go to hell, you stewd old farts. I finally managed
- 32:03Speaker 1: to get out. He grips his head in panic and
- 32:06Speaker 1: he's like, and now what I have to go back?
- 32:09Speaker 1: Like hell, I will over my dead body. He stands
- 32:12Speaker 1: up and he starts to walk away. You can both
- 32:15Speaker 1: die for all I care. But then he stops and
- 32:18Speaker 1: he turns back and he looks real pissed. We go
- 32:22Speaker 1: to Max and Junici, who are seated on a couch
- 32:26Speaker 1: in front of Mannerheim, and Max says, I told you already.
- 32:30Speaker 1: The alarm went off, right, and we thought it was
- 32:32Speaker 1: a fire and we got lost trying to find the
- 32:34Speaker 1: fire exit. Mannerheim moves like super close to him and
- 32:41Speaker 1: definitely looks like he does not buy the story, and
- 32:44Speaker 1: Max continues, I mean it, take my word for it.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Mannerheim's like, you're a cunning liar, mister Lobo, but I
- 32:52Speaker 1: know you. You requested to witness ash Lynx's autopsy. Where
- 32:57Speaker 1: are they now? Yeah, this was a really bad plan.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Max gets really serious though, and he's like, what do
- 33:03Speaker 1: you mean. We cut to Zakarav who is talking to Mannerheim,
- 33:08Speaker 1: and Zakrev says, don't be ridiculous, you really believe them.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Mannerheim's like, I specialize in psychopathology. I could spot a
- 33:16Speaker 1: lie one thousand miles away. They really don't know. Zakrev's like,
- 33:21Speaker 1: you're saying that it was a coincidence. A child could
- 33:24Speaker 1: never take Dawson and escape by himself. And then he gasps, oh,
- 33:28Speaker 1: maybe because he could, and Dino says, I've told you
- 33:32Speaker 1: again and again he's not just any child. Zakarrev scowls
- 33:38Speaker 1: and he says, close down the entire north ward and
- 33:41Speaker 1: lock that boy in shoot to Kilwyn, sided both of them.
- 33:46Speaker 1: We go back to Max and Shunichi, who are alone
- 33:49Speaker 1: in a room, and they look over just as a
- 33:52Speaker 1: large guard opens the door, and he just kind of
- 33:55Speaker 1: stands there for a second. He actually looks a little sweaty,
- 33:58Speaker 1: and then we see some sort of unseen force whack
- 34:01Speaker 1: him on the back of the head and he falls
- 34:03Speaker 1: onto Max. It's ash yay, he's saving them, but it's
- 34:08Speaker 1: not what it was supposed to happen. Guys, and Shooniji's like,
- 34:11Speaker 1: I knew you were alive. Max says, we came to
- 34:15Speaker 1: save you. Ash is like really not pleased, and he
- 34:21Speaker 1: closes the door and he's like facing away from them
- 34:24Speaker 1: and towards the door, like trying to collect himself, and
- 34:27Speaker 1: Max is like, what's wrong? Did they get you two?
- 34:30Speaker 1: Ash is still facing away and he's shaking with rage
- 34:34Speaker 1: now and he thinks, patience, patience, this is no time
- 34:38Speaker 1: to lose your temper. Max kind of goes towards him,
- 34:42Speaker 1: like about to comfort him and maybe put his hand
- 34:44Speaker 1: on his shoulder, and then he shrinks back and he's like, damn,
- 34:46Speaker 1: you stink. Did they not let you take a shower?
- 34:49Speaker 1: And like Ash like physically like explodes, and then he
- 34:52Speaker 1: screams like you asshole. He screams loud enough that the
- 34:56Speaker 1: door goes cartoonishly convex, and everyone in the hall jumps yeah.
- 35:04Speaker 1: As the door regains its normal shape, Max and Shinichi
- 35:08Speaker 1: run out of the room and they're carrying Ash and
- 35:10Speaker 1: Max has his mouth covered, and an orderly is like
- 35:13Speaker 1: someonet help, and as they're running, Max says, don't worry,
- 35:17Speaker 1: we'll find you a good doctor to fix you up.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Oh god, you guys really have no idea what's going on.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Ash is attempting to speak, but his mouth is still covered.
- 35:27Speaker 1: At that point, two guards appear in front of them
- 35:29Speaker 1: with their guns raised, and the first guard says freeze,
- 35:32Speaker 1: but then they just start shooting because that's what they
- 35:33Speaker 1: were supposed to do. Max drops Ash while trying to evade,
- 35:37Speaker 1: and Ash fucking falls, but then somehow like tumbles and
- 35:40Speaker 1: manages to shoot both the guards in the chest because
- 35:43Speaker 1: he's that cool. And then once they're down, he says,
- 35:46Speaker 1: they still think I'm in the north ward. This is
- 35:49Speaker 1: our only chance. They run around a corner and down
- 35:52Speaker 1: the hall and Ash stops, there's a service elevator down here.
- 35:56Speaker 1: He looks around the corner and there are two orderlies
- 35:59Speaker 1: and he's like, damn it. It looks back. Then we
- 36:01Speaker 1: cut to a door being opened from the inside and
- 36:03Speaker 1: Ash says, it's open. Get in. They're now in a
- 36:07Speaker 1: very like tight space kind of. We have a close
- 36:09Speaker 1: up shot, so we can't really see what's going on
- 36:11Speaker 1: around them, but it is a closet probably, And then
- 36:15Speaker 1: we and the gang hear moaning and they look down
- 36:21Speaker 1: and there's this couple having sex on the floor. Yay,
- 36:26Speaker 1: you guys, this is the first time we've had consensual
- 36:29Speaker 1: sex in this show. That's pretty cool, right, Yay consensual Anyway,
- 36:35Speaker 1: apparently their names are Barbara and just doctor, because they're
- 36:39Speaker 1: calling out each other's names and like moaning and such,
- 36:42Speaker 1: and Max and Ash look like not super thrilled to
- 36:47Speaker 1: be a part of this. But then suddenly Max snaps
- 36:49Speaker 1: his fingers. He's got an idea. We cut two Max
- 36:54Speaker 1: in a doctor's outfits. I guess the doctor and Ash,
- 36:58Speaker 1: dressed as a nurse, wheeling something like a body down
- 37:03Speaker 1: the hall, like a covered body that is. They pass
- 37:06Speaker 1: two guards, no problem, but they do look really fucking worried.
- 37:10Speaker 1: They enter an elevator and just as the doors are closing,
- 37:13Speaker 1: this doctor shows up and he stops them and he's like, sorry,
- 37:16Speaker 1: please let me in. He enters the elevator and he
- 37:19Speaker 1: stands next to Ash and he says, I've never seen
- 37:24Speaker 1: you around before. He gets like super close on top
- 37:28Speaker 1: of Ash, and Ash like turns his face away so
- 37:31Speaker 1: that like he doesn't get a good look at him.
- 37:34Speaker 1: And we see that the doctor is like looking at
- 37:37Speaker 1: his name tag and he says Barbara, and I don't
- 37:42Speaker 1: know what is stuffed into Ash's shirt, but his breasts
- 37:44Speaker 1: look right, and Ash, in a rather feminine voice, says,
- 37:49Speaker 1: I just started working here. Max and Shunichi, who is
- 37:53Speaker 1: the body under deep blanket, look on in horror as
- 37:57Speaker 1: this happens. This doctor kind of starts blushing and he's like,
- 38:02Speaker 1: you have a husky voice, and you're really tall, but
- 38:04Speaker 1: damn you're sexy. Oh no. Ash covers his mouth and
- 38:08Speaker 1: he coughs, and he's like, I have a cold. This
- 38:11Speaker 1: was not a good plan because the doctor gets even
- 38:12Speaker 1: closer now, like he was kind of standing to the
- 38:15Speaker 1: side of Ash, and now he's like right up against him,
- 38:18Speaker 1: like right in front of him, and he's like, oh no,
- 38:23Speaker 1: let me take a look, and then he kind of
- 38:25Speaker 1: slams the wall next to Ash, you know, like that
- 38:28Speaker 1: really suave move that you do if you liked someone
- 38:31Speaker 1: I don't know, and he says, you, poor girl, catching
- 38:35Speaker 1: a cold like that? And Ash's like no, I'm fine
- 38:40Speaker 1: and looks away as far as possible, and a doctor says, no,
- 38:44Speaker 1: I can help you. I'm glad I met you here.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Ash is like yeah, and kind of like half laughs
- 38:51Speaker 1: poor Ash, and the doctor says, come on, let's go
- 38:55Speaker 1: get some coffee. Ash is smiling as hard and as
- 38:59Speaker 1: politely as he possibly can, but his eyebrows are beginning
- 39:02Speaker 1: to twitch, and at this point, the doctor fucking just
- 39:05Speaker 1: grabs his ass, which is not okay. Ash gasps and
- 39:09Speaker 1: like punches him in the jaw and he's like, get
- 39:12Speaker 1: your filthy hands off me. The doctor like goes down.
- 39:16Speaker 1: But I don't really understand this scene because like he
- 39:19Speaker 1: gets punched, but then there's like a bunch of hearts
- 39:21Speaker 1: and there's like hearts in his eyes or his mouth
- 39:24Speaker 1: or something. It's just super weird. He goes down though,
- 39:27Speaker 1: thank god, but I'm sorry Ash that that had to
- 39:31Speaker 1: happen anyway. With him on the ground, everyone is just
- 39:35Speaker 1: kind of reeling for a second at the just what
- 39:38Speaker 1: the fuck? And then Max, who is pretty wide eyed,
- 39:42Speaker 1: still says a bit rough a nurse and Ash is like,
- 39:45Speaker 1: shut up, this is sexual harassment. Max flinches and Shinichi
- 39:50Speaker 1: goes back under the blanket and Max says, but you
- 39:54Speaker 1: look good in that. Ash like throws a pen at Max.
- 39:58Speaker 1: And then we cut to them getting into an ambulance.
- 40:03Speaker 1: Max is in the driver's seat. Ash says, head behind
- 40:07Speaker 1: the north ward first. Max is like what for? Ash says,
- 40:11Speaker 1: to pick up my winnings. Woo. We go to Ash
- 40:14Speaker 1: opening that trash choot door and we see Alexis is inside,
- 40:19Speaker 1: probably asleep or passed out, and Max is like Professor Dawson.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Ash says, they used him to experiment with banana fish.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Max is like what and Ash is like, same with
- 40:31Speaker 1: the other prisoners here. This is no medical correction facility.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Max says, all this for what he created? What irony?
- 40:39Speaker 1: The ambulance pulls up to the gate and Max to
- 40:42Speaker 1: the guard, presents his key card and he's like, I'm
- 40:46Speaker 1: transporting a patient on doctor Mannheim's orders. The guard's like, okay,
- 40:50Speaker 1: open the back. Guard goes to the back and opens
- 40:52Speaker 1: the door and he sees nurse Ash and dead Shrunichi
- 40:56Speaker 1: in the back and Ash is like hi, and the
- 40:59Speaker 1: guard says, hie, have a nice day and then closes
- 41:03Speaker 1: the doors. Hugh, I can't believe it worked. The gate
- 41:07Speaker 1: opens and they leave. Wow. Max is so happy that
- 41:13Speaker 1: he like slaps the steering wheel and he's like laughing
- 41:15Speaker 1: and he's like, oh right, take that, and Ashes like
- 41:18Speaker 1: shut up and drive. He sits back down in the
- 41:22Speaker 1: back and he's like and to Shunichi, he says, so
- 41:26Speaker 1: we meet again. He basse on. Shunichi smiles and he's
- 41:29Speaker 1: like yeah. Ash is like taking off the blouse. I yes,
- 41:33Speaker 1: and he says, how's agi. Shunichi looks away. You guys
- 41:36Speaker 1: should have told him earlier, and Ash, of course, it
- 41:39Speaker 1: is kind of confused by this, and Shunici says he's gone,
- 41:43Speaker 1: and then he turns back to him and he says
- 41:46Speaker 1: he's missing. We don't know where he is. Ash's eyes widen.
- 41:51Speaker 1: We go to the guard station where Zakarov is throwing
- 41:54Speaker 1: stuff off of the desk and he slams his fists
- 41:57Speaker 1: on it and he's like breathing super hard and stuff,
- 41:59Speaker 1: and Dino said, don't say I didn't warn you. You're
- 42:03Speaker 1: just not cut out for this. He stands, you never were.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Zacarav's like, how dare you? This is all your fault
- 42:10Speaker 1: to begin with. You'll pay for what happened. The foundation
- 42:13Speaker 1: will hear. But he didn't get to finish his thought
- 42:15Speaker 1: because Deno raises his gun and shoots him in the
- 42:17Speaker 1: shoulder and then in the other shoulder and then in
- 42:19Speaker 1: the head, and he's like, quit you're yapping, you underdog.
- 42:23Speaker 1: I built this project from nothing. I won't let anyone
- 42:26Speaker 1: get in my way. He can't hear you anymore because
- 42:28Speaker 1: he's dead. Zakarev is slumped still, kind of standing against
- 42:32Speaker 1: the monitors behind him, and the screens are like all
- 42:36Speaker 1: glitching out now because they've been shot, and Dino continues,
- 42:40Speaker 1: you did well, you little punk. I applaud your good work.
- 42:44Speaker 1: I am the one that will choke the life out
- 42:45Speaker 1: of you. I won't let anyone else take that away
- 42:48Speaker 1: from me. Cheez we cut back to Ash, who is
- 42:52Speaker 1: asleep in the front seats, but not peacefully. He's sweating,
- 42:57Speaker 1: and he looks really tense, and he just kind of
- 43:02Speaker 1: suddenly wakes up and instinctively grabs his gun and points
- 43:05Speaker 1: it at Max. Oh my god. Once he comes to
- 43:09Speaker 1: his senses, he immediately puts the gun down and he
- 43:12Speaker 1: just kind of covers his mouth, like embarrassed and shocked
- 43:15Speaker 1: at himself, and he says sorry, sorry, Ash. Max says,
- 43:22Speaker 1: it's okay, I don't blame you, and ashs like, where
- 43:26Speaker 1: are we? We kind of see that they're driving down
- 43:29Speaker 1: like a city street and it's night, of course, and
- 43:33Speaker 1: Max says close to Central Park. Ashes like, how long
- 43:37Speaker 1: was I asleep? And Max says about a half hour
- 43:40Speaker 1: or so. Thought we'd hide the professor somewhere safe and
- 43:43Speaker 1: George's father has a summerhouse out in Long Island and
- 43:47Speaker 1: Ashes like, then give me the address. Max says, why
- 43:51Speaker 1: aren't you coming with us? Ash says, I've got something
- 43:55Speaker 1: I have to do. First stop the car. They stop
- 43:59Speaker 1: like pretty much next to Central Park, I guess, and
- 44:02Speaker 1: Max says, you're going to find ag huh. I get
- 44:05Speaker 1: how you feel, but you're worn out you need to
- 44:08Speaker 1: get some rest. Ash is looking out the window, so
- 44:13Speaker 1: we kind of don't see his eyes for a minute,
- 44:15Speaker 1: and he says, I know, but I can't. I just
- 44:18Speaker 1: can unless I know he's safe. There's this long pause
- 44:23Speaker 1: with them just sitting in the ambulance and Max says,
- 44:26Speaker 1: I get it. I won't stop you, and Ash is like,
- 44:30Speaker 1: give me your clothes. By the way, Ash is at
- 44:32Speaker 1: least half undressed. He's not wearing the blouse anymore, but
- 44:35Speaker 1: we don't see the rest of him, so he could
- 44:37Speaker 1: still be wearing the skirt and Max is like why.
- 44:41Speaker 1: Ash says, I can't walk around like this and Max
- 44:43Speaker 1: is like why not? Everyone will love it. Ash raises
- 44:48Speaker 1: his gun to Max's head and Max is like, I'm
- 44:50Speaker 1: just kidding. We cut to Ash putting on the clothes
- 44:52Speaker 1: and like pulling up the pants and stuff, and he's like,
- 44:55Speaker 1: where the hell did you get such ridiculous pants? They're kaggy.
- 45:01Speaker 1: Max is wearing a blanket and he's like, then, just
- 45:04Speaker 1: wear the skirt. Then we go to Ash as he's
- 45:07Speaker 1: walking away from the ambulance, crossing the street and Max says,
- 45:12Speaker 1: you know where to go. Ash stops and turns back
- 45:16Speaker 1: and stares for a second, and he says, this city's
- 45:19Speaker 1: like my backyard. He turns back and walks off. Let
- 45:23Speaker 1: me go to the title card, Low the Poor Peacock,
- 45:27Speaker 1: and then we go the ending. Yay, I don't remember
- 45:30Speaker 1: these existing. I could have sworn we got like no
- 45:34Speaker 1: ending animation in the second half, but apparently I just
- 45:37Speaker 1: forgot that it existed. Huh, but that's it, we did it.
- 45:44Speaker 1: So closing thoughts. I didn't say this at the beginning,
- 45:48Speaker 1: but I think Low the Poor Peacock is a terrific
- 45:52Speaker 1: title for this episode because we've already had Ash referred
- 45:56Speaker 1: to as a peacock once a couple episodes ago, and
- 45:59Speaker 1: fuck he had a bad time in this episode. So
- 46:03Speaker 1: this is one of those times where I think they
- 46:04Speaker 1: just totally nailed the title. So, yeah, everything is gonna
- 46:08Speaker 1: be okay. They're free. Ash is not gonna get a lobotomy,
- 46:11Speaker 1: probably at least not right now. No, probably not ever.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Fucking Zakrev lived for like two episodes. Dino's probably back
- 46:20Speaker 1: in charge. I enjoyed Dino's interactions with doctor Mannerheim and
- 46:25Speaker 1: Zakarav in this episode. As much as I hate Dino,
- 46:28Speaker 1: he looks pretty good compared to these two, I guess,
- 46:32Speaker 1: I mean, at least in this scene. I mean, honestly,
- 46:34Speaker 1: he's much worse of a person than probably zacharv and
- 46:38Speaker 1: maybe not Mannerheim though, because Mannerheim just is experimenting on
- 46:42Speaker 1: people against their will and giving them basically lobotomies. So
- 46:46Speaker 1: maybe they're kind of on the same level. Whatever, it
- 46:49Speaker 1: doesn't matter, I don't know, But there's not much I
- 46:52Speaker 1: wanted to talk about this episode. I like this episode,
- 46:55Speaker 1: but I really really miss Ash and Agy being together.
- 46:59Speaker 1: That's kind of the big downfall of this arc for me.
- 47:02Speaker 1: So I'm really excited about Ash hopefully finding Ag next
- 47:06Speaker 1: episode so they can go back to being together, because
- 47:10Speaker 1: that's a big part of why this show works. Not
- 47:15Speaker 1: that this arc didn't work and it was interesting, though,
- 47:17Speaker 1: I mean very expected to see Ash's priorities change when
- 47:20Speaker 1: he found out that they don't know where Ag is,
- 47:24Speaker 1: because remember, for the last two episodes, I guess Ash
- 47:27Speaker 1: has just thought that Age didn't want to see him,
- 47:29Speaker 1: because I mean Charlie said that, oh, you know, he
- 47:33Speaker 1: couldn't have guessed or anything, but he knew that he
- 47:36Speaker 1: could have guessed because Max was there a bunch, right
- 47:39Speaker 1: so he must have just thought that that was it
- 47:41Speaker 1: after Ag saw him murder Arthur, like that was it.
- 47:45Speaker 1: He was just never gonna see Ag again because Ag
- 47:47Speaker 1: wanted nothing to do with him. So everything is just
- 47:49Speaker 1: different now because he realizes what really happened is no
- 47:53Speaker 1: one has been able to find him since that day,
- 47:56Speaker 1: And if I were in his position, it'd be so
- 47:59Speaker 1: pissed off at Max and Shonichi for not telling me,
- 48:03Speaker 1: But at the same time, like, I understand why they
- 48:06Speaker 1: did that. There is no way he wouldn't have made
- 48:10Speaker 1: things worse for himself if he had known that Agy
- 48:13Speaker 1: was messing like he would have, you know, destroyed his
- 48:16Speaker 1: body basically as injured as he was to find him.
- 48:20Speaker 1: If he had known, he could be dead for all
- 48:22Speaker 1: Ash knows. So yeah, it'd be fun to see how
- 48:26Speaker 1: this goes. It was also weirdly like the most slapstick
- 48:30Speaker 1: episode that we've seen so far, and going forward as well,
- 48:33Speaker 1: it will be. So I don't know what's going on
- 48:35Speaker 1: with a. Kimi Yoshta when she wrote this, But it's
- 48:37Speaker 1: not like I didn't like it. It just I like
- 48:40Speaker 1: other arcs better. Anyway, There's one big thing I wanted
- 48:44Speaker 1: to talk about about this episode, but I also wanted
- 48:46Speaker 1: to say, this is another great example of Ash having
- 48:50Speaker 1: to save himself because everyone else is too late. I
- 48:54Speaker 1: don't know if no, we know that Shoonichi and Max
- 48:59Speaker 1: would not have been able to save him, you know,
- 49:01Speaker 1: like they would have gotten caught and maybe killed. So
- 49:06Speaker 1: it was a nice thought, but yeah, and what they
- 49:09Speaker 1: ended up doing was basically just cause him tons and
- 49:12Speaker 1: tons of pain and make this a lot harder. And
- 49:15Speaker 1: I do appreciate that they wanted to help, but this
- 49:18Speaker 1: is just another one of those instances where he had
- 49:20Speaker 1: to do it himself. So besides that, the main thing
- 49:25Speaker 1: I wanted to talk about is Goalseene. So Golsin said
- 49:31Speaker 1: a bunch of things in this episode that were kind
- 49:35Speaker 1: of upsetting, you know, obviously because he's kind of an
- 49:38Speaker 1: upsetting antagonist. I guess mostly talking about Ash as his
- 49:45Speaker 1: creation kind of and we've touched on this in other episodes,
- 49:49Speaker 1: but he really thinks of Ash like that as something
- 49:52Speaker 1: that he created, which is probably not good honestly, I mean,
- 49:57Speaker 1: it's definitely not good, and he's definitely not underestimating but
- 50:03Speaker 1: misunderstanding the situation, right, So kind of like remember episodes
- 50:08Speaker 1: and episodes ago. I think it was in six we
- 50:10Speaker 1: were talking about amidaeus complex or whatever they were calling it,
- 50:15Speaker 1: and I said that there might be another example. So
- 50:17Speaker 1: in this part of the show, Golszeine clearly thinks of
- 50:21Speaker 1: himself as like a god who has you know, molded
- 50:26Speaker 1: this child, which is fucked up because we also see evidence,
- 50:31Speaker 1: and we've seen it for a little while obviously that
- 50:34Speaker 1: Golesine is probably actually in love with him, which is
- 50:39Speaker 1: not okay in any capacity. And I don't think it's
- 50:43Speaker 1: the way that you're supposed to love with like another person,
- 50:46Speaker 1: with like understanding and compassion and empathy or whatever however
- 50:51Speaker 1: you love people. I don't know how to love people,
- 50:53Speaker 1: But I think it's more like you love a possession
- 50:58Speaker 1: that you don't don't think has its own agency or feelings,
- 51:04Speaker 1: so kind of like how you would love a classic
- 51:07Speaker 1: car that you restored, maybe but maybe you have sex
- 51:10Speaker 1: with I don't know what you do with your cars.
- 51:13Speaker 1: But that's kind of the vibe that I'm getting that
- 51:17Speaker 1: he's loving him but as a possession, and I do
- 51:19Speaker 1: really think in his twisted way that it is some
- 51:22Speaker 1: sort of like real, authentic loved him. As disturbing as
- 51:28Speaker 1: that sounds, and I know that it sounds really disturbing,
- 51:31Speaker 1: but I think that's what's been happening. I think that's
- 51:34Speaker 1: what Akumiyoshit is going for, which just makes everything worse
- 51:38Speaker 1: by the way, she really does believe that this person
- 51:43Speaker 1: has wronged him when he's the one that is constantly
- 51:48Speaker 1: wronged ash. So that's that's what we got. That's really
- 51:56Speaker 1: all I wanted to say. Yeah, not that interesting this time, guys.
- 51:59Speaker 1: I mean my comments, not the episode. So I'm gonna
- 52:03Speaker 1: go and I'm super looking forward to episode seventeen, so
- 52:07Speaker 1: I will see you hopefully soon unless the world ends,
- 52:10Speaker 1: and I hope you have a really good whatever later. Weeps.
