- 0:00Speaker 1: Ever since I got that security camera footage for my
- 0:02Speaker 1: viewer submission stories, I've become obsessed with watching weird CCTV clips.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I'm not sure why these recordings seem so creepy. They're
- 0:13Speaker 1: usually horrible quality, badly angled, terrible lighting, low resolution and
- 0:17Speaker 1: frame rate. Maybe that's what makes them even scarier. It's
- 0:22Speaker 1: like one of them psychological horror stories that leaves your
- 0:25Speaker 1: mind to fill in all the blanks. In fact, there
- 0:29Speaker 1: are often silent probably adds to it as well. Your
- 0:33Speaker 1: brain strains to hear something that isn't there and puts
- 0:36Speaker 1: on a sort of higher alert. You begin to imagine
- 0:40Speaker 1: the sounds, no matter how horrible they might be. Combined
- 0:44Speaker 1: with the fact that you always know the footage is real,
- 0:47Speaker 1: these greeny recordings provide a candid look into a gritty
- 0:49Speaker 1: reality that most of us are blissfully unaware of. Here's
- 0:54Speaker 1: a selection of CCTV footage that will make you lose
- 0:57Speaker 1: faith in humanity. At the time of recording, Missy Beavers
- 1:01Speaker 1: has been dead for three years and her murderer has
- 1:03Speaker 1: never been found. On April 18, 2016, she was scheduled
- 1:09Speaker 1: to teach an early morning fitness class at a local
- 1:11Speaker 1: church in Midlothian, Texas. She arrived at 4.30 a.m. and
- 1:16Speaker 1: began setting up for the class. At 5 a.m., she
- 1:20Speaker 1: was found dead with punctual wounds all over her head
- 1:23Speaker 1: and chest. She was a popular and active person in
- 1:27Speaker 1: their local community. She had a husband and three children.
- 1:32Speaker 1: The town was devastated by the killing but they had
- 1:34Speaker 1: no idea who was behind the murder. The only clues
- 1:38Speaker 1: came from CCTV footage recovered from the church. The first
- 1:42Speaker 1: unusual recording happened at around 2 AM on the morning
- 1:45Speaker 1: of the murders. A car inexplicably pulls into the car
- 1:49Speaker 1: park of the church and it slowly prowls around the
- 1:52Speaker 1: perimeter of the building. It occasionally stops for a moment
- 1:56Speaker 1: as if looking for something in particular. After a full
- 2:00Speaker 1: circuit of the church, it pulls into a parking bay
- 2:02Speaker 1: for a moment before driving away. The driver of this
- 2:06Speaker 1: car was never found and it's not clear whether it's
- 2:08Speaker 1: the killer driving but the timing of the murder does
- 2:11Speaker 1: add to very sinister aspect to the way this car
- 2:13Speaker 1: is prowling about. But the scariest footage is what was
- 2:17Speaker 1: recorded inside the church, moments before the murder. Somebody dressed
- 2:22Speaker 1: in full SWAT gear is seen to enter the building
- 2:24Speaker 1: and begins to skulk around swinging a hammer. The open
- 2:28Speaker 1: doors looking into the various rooms. At one point they
- 2:32Speaker 1: look like they're trying to force open a locked door.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Towards the end of the recording they can be seen
- 2:38Speaker 1: smashing something off camera with a hammer. From what I
- 2:41Speaker 1: can tell this was a window. It's thought they might
- 2:44Speaker 1: have been forcing the doors and breaking windows to make
- 2:47Speaker 1: the murder look like a burglary gone wrong. What happened
- 2:50Speaker 1: immediately after this footage is unknown as this is all
- 2:53Speaker 1: the police have released but now we know what the
- 2:55Speaker 1: murder weapon was. The puncture wounds on miss's face and
- 3:00Speaker 1: chest with the results are being bludgeoned repeatedly with the
- 3:02Speaker 1: sharp end of a claw hammer. Who this person is
- 3:06Speaker 1: has never been discovered. The SWAT gear looks very authentic
- 3:10Speaker 1: and it conveniently obscures their face and body and it
- 3:13Speaker 1: prevented any forensic evidence being left at the scene. As
- 3:17Speaker 1: a result this killer is still out there somewhere. This
- 3:21Speaker 1: is some fairly short footage recorded on a home security system.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Jack McIntyre and his girlfriend Jordan Baranskas fell asleep together
- 3:29Speaker 1: on the sofa after watching a movie. Jordan awoke to
- 3:33Speaker 1: find her purse had been stolen. Upon reviewing the Nest
- 3:36Speaker 1: camera recordings they saw this figure standing at the top
- 3:39Speaker 1: of the stairs. He stands there for a full 15
- 3:43Speaker 1: minutes before leaving. He's not clear whether he had anything
- 3:47Speaker 1: planned over them to just rob them but it's creepy
- 3:49Speaker 1: to think that someone could break into your home and
- 3:52Speaker 1: stand there watching over you for a quarter of an
- 3:54Speaker 1: hour and then leave without being noticed. In the UK
- 3:57Speaker 1: the murder of James Boldier shocked the nation when it happened.
- 4:02Speaker 1: In 1993 two 10 year old boys Robert Thompson and
- 4:05Speaker 1: John Venables kidnapped three year old James Boldier. They led
- 4:10Speaker 1: him to a railway line and tortured him to death.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Among other abuses they threw paint into his eyes, inserted
- 4:17Speaker 1: batteries into his anus, threw bricks at him and shattered
- 4:20Speaker 1: his skull with an iron bar. When they were done
- 4:23Speaker 1: with him they laid his body onto the tracks where
- 4:25Speaker 1: he was cutting half by a passing train. I remember
- 4:29Speaker 1: the case vividly because I was the same age as
- 4:31Speaker 1: the murderers where it happened and these CCTV images were
- 4:34Speaker 1: all over the papers. Security cameras weren't so advanced back
- 4:39Speaker 1: then so we only have grainy still images of the
- 4:41Speaker 1: abduction but perhaps that's even worse than a video. There's
- 4:45Speaker 1: even more blanks for the mind to fill in. It
- 4:48Speaker 1: showed the moment the two boys led James away whilst
- 4:51Speaker 1: his mother was momentarily distracted. This is the last image
- 4:56Speaker 1: of him alive. Witnesses heard them saying, come on baby
- 5:00Speaker 1: as they led him away. There's also this image of
- 5:03Speaker 1: Thompson and Venables looking for a victim. They had hung
- 5:07Speaker 1: around the mall looking for a small child to abduct.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Their idea was to take a toddler to a busy
- 5:13Speaker 1: road and then kick them into oncoming traffic for fun.
- 5:17Speaker 1: They had already attempted to abduct one child that day
- 5:20Speaker 1: and they'd nearly got away with it but they were
- 5:22Speaker 1: spotted by the kid's mother before they could lead him away.
- 5:25Speaker 1: James Boldier wasn't so lucky and this image displays the
- 5:29Speaker 1: true horror of the situation. There's something so trusting about
- 5:33Speaker 1: ways holding Venable's hand. He's probably wondering what kind of
- 5:37Speaker 1: fun game they've got planned. He's too young to worry,
- 5:42Speaker 1: too young to even understand that there's evil in the world.
- 5:45Speaker 1: And as haunting as his image is, imagine how it
- 5:48Speaker 1: feels for the mother to have this as the last
- 5:51Speaker 1: image ever taken of a son. A one moment of
- 5:54Speaker 1: carelessness forever immortalized in his few greeny images. This footage
- 5:59Speaker 1: isn't too disturbing on the face of it. It shows
- 6:02Speaker 1: 58-year-old Gary Simpson buying camping supplies with his 9-year-old niece,
- 6:07Speaker 1: Carly Trent. What's disturbing about it is the things that
- 6:11Speaker 1: he's buying and what he intends to do with him.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Earlier that day, Gary had got Carly out of school
- 6:17Speaker 1: by claiming that her father had been in a terrible
- 6:19Speaker 1: car accident and that he needed to take it to
- 6:21Speaker 1: see him. Of course this was a lie and once
- 6:24Speaker 1: she was out of school, they visited the supermarket and
- 6:27Speaker 1: bought supplies. Among the items were a child's bikini and nightgown,
- 6:32Speaker 1: a reclining chair, lipstick and nail polish. There is also
- 6:37Speaker 1: what looks like, enough food and water to keep them
- 6:40Speaker 1: going for a long time. After leaving the shop, they
- 6:44Speaker 1: disappeared and neither of them were seen for another six days.
- 6:48Speaker 1: A number alert was issued for Carly's disappearance in the
- 6:51Speaker 1: Tennessee area and a huge manhunt was initiated. Eventually they
- 6:55Speaker 1: were tracked down in a remote location. Carly was still
- 6:59Speaker 1: alive and Simpson was arrested. Among the items were covered
- 7:03Speaker 1: from their campsites, they found a handwritten list of sexual
- 7:07Speaker 1: acts that Simpson wanted to carry out with his niece.
- 7:10Speaker 1: At the bottom of the list, he indicated that he
- 7:13Speaker 1: would murder Carly and kill himself if any of this
- 7:15Speaker 1: was discovered. He admitted to the police that he'd got
- 7:19Speaker 1: part way through the list of sex acts and given
- 7:21Speaker 1: a 25-year jail sentence for a sexual assault of a minor.
- 7:25Speaker 1: After watching his footage, I feel like Carly shows some
- 7:29Speaker 1: signs of knowing that something is wrong. She seems to
- 7:32Speaker 1: try and catch the cashier's eye. Maybe she's trying to
- 7:36Speaker 1: tell him something without her uncle noticing, but perhaps I'm
- 7:39Speaker 1: just reading too much into it because I know what
- 7:41Speaker 1: happens next, but even so it's the casual way that
- 7:44Speaker 1: Simpson goes about his business whilst knowing the kind of
- 7:47Speaker 1: devious acts has got planned. That's what gets me the most.
- 7:52Speaker 1: This CCTV footage captures the kidnapping of Samantha Koenigs at
- 7:56Speaker 1: the hands of serial killer Israel Keys. Keys plans as
- 8:00Speaker 1: crimes meticulously, so we would have been watching Samantha for
- 8:03Speaker 1: a long time before he struck. Samantha worked the late
- 8:07Speaker 1: shift at the Common Grounds coffee stand. He knew that
- 8:11Speaker 1: she would be alone at closing town and distracted as
- 8:14Speaker 1: she closed down the stall. Keys approached the stand minutes
- 8:18Speaker 1: before closing and orders a coffee. You can see Samantha
- 8:22Speaker 1: making casual chit-chat with Keys as she prepares his drink.
- 8:26Speaker 1: As she hands it over to him, he pulls out
- 8:29Speaker 1: to go and tells her that he wants money. She's
- 8:32Speaker 1: made to turn out the lights and she complies, and
- 8:34Speaker 1: then she hands over any valuables and empties the cash register.
- 8:39Speaker 1: He makes a get down on the floor and then
- 8:41Speaker 1: he climbs in through the window. Just as he's climbing in,
- 8:45Speaker 1: someone can be seen returning to their car and driving
- 8:48Speaker 1: past just meters from where it's all happening. they even
- 8:51Speaker 1: get out of their car to adjust something in the
- 8:53Speaker 1: back seat in direct sight of the window. This might
- 8:57Speaker 1: have been Samantha's last hope of rescue, but the driver
- 9:00Speaker 1: seems completely oblivious and drives away. Once inside, Keyes ties
- 9:05Speaker 1: Samantha up and leads her out the back door and
- 9:07Speaker 1: across the car park. At one point, she manages to
- 9:11Speaker 1: escape from his clutches and runs away, but he quickly
- 9:14Speaker 1: tackles it over the ground and threatens to kill her. Off-camera,
- 9:19Speaker 1: he leads her to his truck and puts her bound
- 9:21Speaker 1: in the mobilite as the in the back. It's the
- 9:24Speaker 1: casual nature of the kidnapping that comes across in his footage.
- 9:28Speaker 1: It's not as a occluded place, people can be seen
- 9:31Speaker 1: walking around in the background, even as he's leading the
- 9:34Speaker 1: woman away. It's scary how easily he manages to get
- 9:38Speaker 1: away with it. This casual nonchalance can also be seen
- 9:42Speaker 1: in what he does next. He tells Samantha that he's
- 9:45Speaker 1: kidnapping her from ransom and takes her back to his
- 9:48Speaker 1: shed at his house. He blasts loud music so his
- 9:52Speaker 1: wife and daughter can't hear from inside the house and
- 9:54Speaker 1: any rape Samantha and strangles her to death. When his
- 9:58Speaker 1: finished tea looks the shed and goes to pack for
- 10:00Speaker 1: a two week cruise that he has planned with his family.
- 10:04Speaker 1: After enjoying a relaxing holiday, he returns to Samantha's 14
- 10:08Speaker 1: day old corpse and stitches her eyelids so that they
- 10:11Speaker 1: look like they're open. This is so he could pose
- 10:14Speaker 1: a body for a ransom photo and make it look
- 10:16Speaker 1: like she was still alive. Once he had his photograph,
- 10:20Speaker 1: he dismembered a body and dumped it into a fishing
- 10:23Speaker 1: hole of a frozen lake. Once again it's knowing what
- 10:26Speaker 1: happens afterwards that makes this CCTV footage so disturbing. You
- 10:31Speaker 1: see the moment that this girl looking forward to going
- 10:34Speaker 1: home and having a friendly chat with the last customer
- 10:36Speaker 1: goes from being easy going to panic to full submission.
- 10:40Speaker 1: There's one last dash for freedom and then it's all over.
- 10:44Speaker 1: She's never seen that live again. This last piece of
- 10:47Speaker 1: footage I've got no background for. I found this clip
- 10:51Speaker 1: a few years ago and I thought it'd be good
- 10:53Speaker 1: to make a video about creepy baby monitor footage so
- 10:56Speaker 1: save it to a thumb drive along with some of
- 10:58Speaker 1: the less interesting clips. I discovered it again the other
- 11:02Speaker 1: day but now I can't find any information. It appears
- 11:06Speaker 1: to be some sort of nanny camera capturing someone acting
- 11:09Speaker 1: very strangely towards an infant. It looks fairly normal at
- 11:13Speaker 1: first so you can hardly really tell what's going on
- 11:16Speaker 1: and but then they lean over the child and you
- 11:18Speaker 1: can see his legs start to kick. If I remember
- 11:21Speaker 1: correctly it's supposed to be either the mother or the
- 11:24Speaker 1: baby's sister trying to smother the child. They do give
- 11:27Speaker 1: up quite quickly. Maybe they have a change your heart
- 11:31Speaker 1: or they hear someone coming or maybe this is just
- 11:33Speaker 1: a practice run for something they plan to do in
- 11:35Speaker 1: the future. I have no idea what's happening here for
- 11:39Speaker 1: sure and maybe it's better not to know. It's a
- 11:42Speaker 1: very short and bad quality clip. You can barely make
- 11:46Speaker 1: it out. It's only really when the baby's legs start
- 11:50Speaker 1: kicking out in panic that the image starts to make sense.
- 11:54Speaker 1: There's a true sense of horror about this clip. I
- 11:57Speaker 1: don't know what it is about it. The sense of
- 12:00Speaker 1: not knowing what's happening for sure but getting a feeling
- 12:03Speaker 1: that it's something really bad. I did try to find
- 12:06Speaker 1: some more information on this clip but what do I
- 12:09Speaker 1: put into Google that won't take me down a very
- 12:11Speaker 1: dark rabbit hole. I'm pretty sure that if I googled
- 12:14Speaker 1: baby smothering video I'd be getting put on some sort
- 12:17Speaker 1: of watch list pretty soon and this gives me a
- 12:19Speaker 1: great opportunity to talk about today's sponsor NordVPN. Just kidding
- 12:24Speaker 1: I don't really have a sponsor. I'm just trying to
- 12:27Speaker 1: lighten the mood after watching this horrible footage but I
- 12:30Speaker 1: hope you found this case informative. I'm currently recording this
- 12:34Speaker 1: in a car in the middle of a caravan park
- 12:36Speaker 1: in Scotland. The car is the only place I could
- 12:39Speaker 1: record it because I didn't want any other people in
- 12:42Speaker 1: the caravan to hear me talking about baby smothering and
- 12:44Speaker 1: hammer attacks. If this episode sounds a bit more ropey
- 12:49Speaker 1: than usual, blame it on the unusual recording environment. If
- 12:53Speaker 1: you're new to the channel please subscribe. It would mean
- 12:56Speaker 1: a lot to me. So thanks to everyone who likes
- 13:00Speaker 1: what I do. I actually managed to keep it up
- 13:03Speaker 1: for an entire month that was I didn't actually think
- 13:05Speaker 1: I was going to do it. I started to really
- 13:08Speaker 1: flag towards the end but yeah kept going and every
- 13:11Speaker 1: day I did a drawing. Some days maybe not as
- 13:15Speaker 1: good as others but it was a fun experiment. So
- 13:18Speaker 1: I thought I would show them off. A lot of
- 13:21Speaker 1: people that I've been asking to see my artwork so
- 13:23Speaker 1: I thought this was a good way. I don't know
- 13:26Speaker 1: if it's a display of my best art because obviously
- 13:29Speaker 1: this was I had to do one drawing every day.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I wasn't able to spend a lot of time on
- 13:34Speaker 1: the drawings but we'll take a look and also people
- 13:36Speaker 1: were asking about buying these. So what I'm going to
- 13:40Speaker 1: do is put these on eBay. Apart from this first
- 13:44Speaker 1: one because I want to keep that it's kind of
- 13:45Speaker 1: my logo and yeah I want to keep the original.
- 13:49Speaker 1: All the others are put linked below to the eBay
- 13:51Speaker 1: and if you want to buy them you can. It
- 13:54Speaker 1: will be free postage anywhere in the world. So yeah
- 13:58Speaker 1: if you like the artwork enough you can own it
- 14:00Speaker 1: yourself for what I'll do. I'll sign each artwork that
- 14:04Speaker 1: I sell and if you want a note written either
- 14:06Speaker 1: on the back or on a separate bit of paper
- 14:08Speaker 1: I'll do that as well. A personal note and also
- 14:11Speaker 1: I'll throw in some stickers. Two or three stickers I
- 14:15Speaker 1: don't know how many I've got left. I'll have to
- 14:18Speaker 1: have a look but you'll get a couple of stickers.
- 14:21Speaker 1: People will be asking about buying these stickers as well
- 14:24Speaker 1: but I kind of want to find a cheaper way
- 14:26Speaker 1: of getting them made. They're coming out a bit expensive
- 14:29Speaker 1: per sticker I don't think. I'd have to be selling
- 14:32Speaker 1: them for like a pound per sticker and it doesn't
- 14:35Speaker 1: seem worth it for one sticker, one small sticker but
- 14:38Speaker 1: I'll throw them in with the pictures if you purchase one.
- 14:41Speaker 1: So yeah this is my original logo. I redid my
- 14:45Speaker 1: logo and if you wanted to own it you can
- 14:47Speaker 1: own it on a t-shirt. There's actually bleach. I use
- 14:51Speaker 1: bleach to get the highlights on yeah so and this
- 14:54Speaker 1: is what this is what is also on the stickers.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Obviously a lot smaller. And people will be asking what
- 15:01Speaker 1: logo is. That turned into my logo so now I've
- 15:05Speaker 1: redrew it all sort of dripping and stuff. Anyway that
- 15:09Speaker 1: was Inktober day 1. Now Inktober day 2 I'll be
- 15:13Speaker 1: honest I was kind of drunk. I've got a running
- 15:16Speaker 1: club I go to and it's more of a drinking
- 15:18Speaker 1: club than a running club and that night I did
- 15:20Speaker 1: have a few so yeah I don't think this is
- 15:22Speaker 1: a good example. Excellent Bumi Huma parody. Very good. Yeah
- 15:28Speaker 1: not very good actually but if you if you if
- 15:30Speaker 1: you purchase this or throwing an extra drawing which is
- 15:33Speaker 1: not an inktober drawing it's called this TFU nerd.
