Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: No More Podcasts, where we're talking about how to start a podcast, how about finding your voice through God, faith-based podcasting for beginners.
- 0:11Speaker 1: This is your place to release your voice in a podcast, let's go.
- 0:16Speaker 1: So today's episode is one of my favorites because I hear this question all the time from women on as they text me or as we talk on Facebook.
- 0:30Speaker 1: They're like hey, podcast sounds great, teresa, but what do I say on my podcast?
- 0:38Speaker 1: So, listen, if you've ever wrestled with a doubt, content blocks or maybe just the pressure to keep up, this one's just for you, because the secret is inside you.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Let's talk about how to let the Holy Spirit lead your voice and never run dry again.
- 0:57Speaker 1: It's one of the pillars of our Stuck no More Voices Academy how to podcast from the overflow of your relationship with God.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Okay, let me break that down for you.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I get so excited because this has been the key to never lose content, to always have something to say.
- 1:16Speaker 1: But first let me reiterate this it comes from the secret place.
- 1:23Speaker 1: It comes from your time with God, and to me, that is where the Holy Spirit shines.
- 1:30Speaker 1: You can journal it, you can write it.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Oftentimes I'll hit something and I'll start oh, I got to write this out.
- 1:35Speaker 1: So let's go on here.
- 1:38Speaker 1: So you don't need to be an expert, let me just get that straight.
- 1:42Speaker 1: You don't need to be an expert, you just got to be available expert.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Let me just get that straight.
- 1:46Speaker 1: You don't need to be an expert, you just got to be available.
- 1:48Speaker 1: So put aside the idea that you have to be a theologian or an influencer or even a polished speaker to release a powerful podcast.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Listen, I'd rather have the edge of you than the polished of you.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I'd rather see you unscripted than all scripted and we lose you, lose your authenticity.
- 2:05Speaker 1: That's an important thing.
- 2:06Speaker 1: You can have some notes to speak from, but don't read them.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Make them come alive, Okay.
- 2:12Speaker 1: So let's talk about that content.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Jesus said in Matthew 10, verse 20, let's just get this right here, for it will not be you speaking, but the spirit of your father speaking through you.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Ha, ha.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Write that down.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Matthew 10, 20.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I'm going to say it again, for it would not be you speaking, but the spirit of your father speaking through you.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Does that release a little bit on you right now?
- 2:36Speaker 1: Oh, no, it should, but let me, let me help you out.
- 2:40Speaker 1: So when you don't know what to say, okay, the Holy Spirit will meet you right there.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Let me give you some Holy Spirit led prompts.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Get your pen out.
- 2:50Speaker 1: These are great.
- 2:51Speaker 1: So prompt number one you can talk about a testimony you've never shared before.
- 2:56Speaker 1: What has God healed or restored in your life recently?
- 3:01Speaker 1: This is beautiful, because testimony in Hebrew means do it again, so you release your testimony.
- 3:07Speaker 1: You might release someone else's victory, but let me just put a side note.
- 3:13Speaker 1: You might hear me say this more than once Speak from your scars, not your wounds.
- 3:20Speaker 1: How about this one?
- 3:20Speaker 1: This is one of my favorite, a verse that's been stirring in you and you've been stewing in it and the Holy Spirit's been talking to you.
- 3:27Speaker 1: That's a great podcast episode, as you share what God is showing you and how it applies to your listeners' life.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Now, can I put a side note?
- 3:38Speaker 1: This isn't you preaching at them, and even in your teaching, make it very conversational, just as if you're sitting down with a friend.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Let me share with you what God's speaking to you.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Okay, it just makes you way more easy to listen and it really does make the listener feel like, hey, they're having coffee with you.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Okay, how about this?
- 3:59Speaker 1: What do you say to the old Jew?
- 4:02Speaker 1: Another one of my favorites, because you are speaking to the person you once were.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Think about that, a former version of yourself.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Someone is listening right now in that place.
- 4:14Speaker 1: You've had the breakthrough.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Speak to the person you once were and connect with them.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Help them.
- 4:21Speaker 1: How about this one?
- 4:23Speaker 1: This one's good A prayer for a listener going through it.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Now you can say a prayer, but just think about what are they going through.
- 4:31Speaker 1: I mean they may even ask you hey, will you please pray for I'm going through it with my marriage?
- 4:36Speaker 1: Will you please pray for me?
- 4:38Speaker 1: I just lost a loved one, just you.
- 4:40Speaker 1: It's almost like, throughout this content, it's almost like you're speaking to one person, like I'm speaking to one person who really wants to know how does she keep content coming up?
- 4:53Speaker 1: Cause she Facebooked me.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Okay, let's go on.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Let me write this one down Uh, this is always good one.
- 4:59Speaker 1: What is God teaching you in the waiting?
- 5:01Speaker 1: You know I've had a double mastectomy and then a second surgery after that, had a double mastectomy and then a second surgery after that, and as I was healing, I had to go.
- 5:12Speaker 1: What am I waiting for?
- 5:13Speaker 1: I'm waiting for my voice to be released again, but I know I need to rest.
- 5:22Speaker 1: What is God teaching you in the waiting?
- 5:23Speaker 1: A lot of times, this is some of the most raw, real and relevant things you can talk about.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Real and relevant things you can talk about Now.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I'm using my voice now, but a lot of times I had to.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I had to write it out.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I had to just really ask God what am I going through?
- 5:39Speaker 1: Okay, here's another one.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Right, this one a faith fueled answer to a common question.
- 5:43Speaker 1: You know you could like this question how do I trust God when I'm overwhelmed?
- 5:48Speaker 1: How do I trust God when I'm overwhelmed?
- 5:56Speaker 1: Think about that.
- 5:57Speaker 1: How did you trust God when you were overwhelmed?
- 5:59Speaker 1: And then, finally, if you only knew, moment, if I only knew how easy it was, oh, if I only knew that years I spent hours of releasing my podcasts.
- 6:08Speaker 1: If I only knew the secret sauces that I teach in the Stack no More Academy, oh, I would not take all day for a podcast.
- 6:18Speaker 1: That's just giving an example.
- 6:19Speaker 1: We talk about those secret sauces in the Stack no More Voices Academy.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Season two is coming up.
- 6:25Speaker 1: We'll talk about things like this, so be sure to check the show notes, get on the wait list for season two and get a 15% discount if you're on there, okay, let's go on.
- 6:36Speaker 1: We're thinking about speaking on a podcast.
- 6:40Speaker 1: You may want to batch some episodes or you may want to just choose.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Okay, I'm going to be Tuesday, it's going to be podcast day, or Monday, I'm going to be praying about the podcast that I'm going to release on Thursday.
- 7:01Speaker 1: So let go of the lie that missing a week means you failed.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Let go of the fact missing a week means you failed.
- 7:04Speaker 1: If I would have thought of this in my early years of podcasting, I would have thought I failed because I was living in a very how do I say it?
- 7:10Speaker 1: Traumatic marriage where oftentimes I'd have to run into the closet to do my podcast and as I got bolder, I'd still have to pick times when he wasn't around and making noise.
- 7:24Speaker 1: So there were weeks I missed.
- 7:27Speaker 1: And then there was a time when he got burned Third degree burns, over 30% of his body.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I mean to take care of him, I had to let go of my podcast.
- 7:35Speaker 1: So God honors rhythm, not perfection.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Finally, just to sum this up, you know finding content and delivering it is really speaking from the overflow of your relationship with God.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Podcasting is not about performance, just as your relationship with God is not about performance.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Did you hear that?
- 8:00Speaker 1: There's no performance needed when you're speaking from the overflow of your relationship with God?
- 8:07Speaker 1: A lot of times it makes you more authentic.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You're not scripted.
- 8:11Speaker 1: You may have some notes, but you're speaking from what God has spoke to you.
- 8:16Speaker 1: You're talking about and pouring out what God has already poured in you.
- 8:23Speaker 1: He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.
- 8:27Speaker 1: So there's a gold in this speaking because you're refreshing others.
- 8:31Speaker 1: It's kind of like an ongoing spout into you from the Holy Spirit.
- 8:37Speaker 1: So spend that time with God.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Get in that white noise space where it's just you and God.
- 8:42Speaker 1: You don't even have to say anything, you don't even have to read a certain verse at a particular time.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I love those times where it's just me and coffee, jesus and coffee, and I sit there and I listen.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I might go through the YouVersion prompts on spending time with God and then that release comes and my mind and heart's open to hear from God.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Not necessarily for a podcast, okay, but every once in a while I hear God say, hey, this would make a great podcast.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Why don't you write some notes?
- 9:10Speaker 1: Like, if you go to the waiting list, I show you exactly how I use one of my secret weapons to create a podcast from the overflow of my relationship with God.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Inside that video you'll see the secret sauce I use and you'll see how I you can worship through it and outcomes of podcast.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Anyway, it is on the Stack no More waiting list.
- 9:40Speaker 1: You've got to check that out.
- 9:41Speaker 1: It's so fun to share that with you.
- 9:42Speaker 1: It's something that I share in the Stuck no More Voices Academy.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Season two is coming up, so when you get on the wait list you are ready to go 15% off and you've already got a great resource.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You may want to start right now.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I gotcha.
- 9:59Speaker 1: What I'd like to ask you to do is maybe you.
- 10:08Speaker 1: What I'd like to ask you to do is maybe you need to create some ideas that come from your relationship with God.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I hope these prompts helped you start.
- 10:12Speaker 1: You can rewind them and write them again and, if you're ready to launch or release your podcast from that place of overflow, not hustle, once again, I'd like to invite you to the Steck no More Voices Academy, where we have already experienced, in season one, women getting to the core of their identity, first of all, and then realizing I'm on this because I know I have a voice.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I have one great friend that joined us last season and I just said your voice is so anointed, girl, you could say peanut butter and people would fall out.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I mean, I really believe God has endued you with his Holy Spirit, imbued you, and this is where you'll get a refinement learn a little more about how to be found and how about this.
- 11:02Speaker 1: This is my dream in the working not have to rely on social media to lead people to your podcast.
- 11:12Speaker 1: That sounds fun.
- 11:12Speaker 1: All of this in the Stuck no More Academy season two.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Go to the show notes and you'll get on the wait list and you'll give me first to notice when this opens.
- 11:21Speaker 1: So I'm so glad you've been listening to the Stuck no More Voices podcast.
- 11:25Speaker 1: I'm Teresa reminding you.
- 11:27Speaker 1: You don't have to strive to speak, you just need to stay surrendered, because the voice of a daughter who's been with the Father carries authority.
- 11:38Speaker 1: I believe in my raspy voice.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I can tell you that your voice carries the magnificent authority of heaven.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Let's go, let's do it.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Hey, share this.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Take a few minutes to write a review.
- 11:53Speaker 1: That really helps me, helps the podcast, and if you want to connect with me, got a question, I am always available at Teresa Croft on my Instagram.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I answer every DM.
