- 2:36Speaker 3: trivia question? The question was what popular board game was
- 2:40Speaker 3: originally called The Landlord's Game. The answer Monopoly. It was
- 2:46Speaker 3: originally created by Elizabeth Magee in nineteen oh three as
- 2:50Speaker 3: The Landlord's Game. The game was designed to illustrate the
- 2:53Speaker 3: economic consequences of landownership and monopolies. Over time, it evolved
- 2:58Speaker 3: into the version we know today as Monopoly, one of
- 3:01Speaker 3: the most famous board games in the world.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Now you know.
- 3:09Speaker 3: When other people bring negativity into our lives. It can
- 3:12Speaker 3: be easy to carry their words with us long after
- 3:15Speaker 3: the moment has passed, But protecting your piece begins with
- 3:18Speaker 3: remembering that not every opinion deserves space in your mind.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Sometimes another person's negativity reflects their stress, fear, or frustration,
- 3:28Speaker 3: not your worth. One strategy is to set mental boundaries.
- 3:32Speaker 3: You may not be able to avoid negative people, but
- 3:35Speaker 3: you can choose how deeply their words affect you. Another
- 3:39Speaker 3: strategy is to redirect your focus when negativity starts to
- 3:42Speaker 3: take hold, shift your attention to gratitude, prayer, deep breathing,
- 3:47Speaker 3: or a simple truth like I will not let this
- 3:50Speaker 3: ruin my day. A third strategy is to fill your
- 3:53Speaker 3: mind with encouraging voices, uplifting content, and supportive people who
- 3:58Speaker 3: strengthen your outlook. As we close out today's episode, remember this,
- 4:13Speaker 3: you do not have to carry what was never yours
- 4:15Speaker 3: to hold. Other people may choose negativity, but you can
- 4:19Speaker 3: choose peace. As Eleen Roosevelt said, no one can make
- 4:23Speaker 3: you feel inferior without your consent. So until next time,
- 4:26Speaker 3: stay positive today and every day.
