- 4:02this change, which means teams will be seeded
- 4:05directly based on the selection committee's rankings,
- 4:08rather than conference championships. This new
- 4:12format will allow the top four seeds to earn
- 4:14a buy into the quarterfinals. However, it comes
- 4:18with a financial compromise, ensuring that the
- 4:21four highest -ranked conference champions will
- 4:23still receive $8 million each, regardless of
- 4:27their seed. As discussions continue regarding
- 4:30the playoffs' future format, significant changes,
- 4:33including a potential 16 -team playoff, are anticipated.

- 4:43Park, the Sox and Orioles had their game postponed
- 4:46due to rain. They will play a doubleheader today
- 4:49starting at 1 .35 under clear skies with temperatures
