- 1:02[SPEAKER_02]: What's up, buddy?
- 1:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, until real football again, six days like a thirsty man wandering the desert.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_02]: I see the Oasis finally inside.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_02]: Titans, I love it, dude.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_02]: David, what's going on?
- 1:15[SPEAKER_02]: Great to see that you've become a member.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for that support, Big Dog.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: Sam Bam jumping in early with a super chat.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_02]: Great to see you, Sam.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're doing well, my brother.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: Says, even in guys had my draft this Saturday.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_02]: Got the Broncos defense, which I wanted.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_02]: RJ Harvey went to spots in front of where I wanted him darn.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: But anyhow, I like my team and I'm ready for some Broncos football.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_02]: go Broncos, that's cool dude, congrats.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_02]: Zach, didn't you guys have the MHH draft over the weekend as well?
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we did.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: And Bonix went second overall in a major surprise.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: Chad, I know you're not the biggest fantasy guy, but that's pretty unheard of for go to go there.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Alan and Lamar weren't even going in the first round.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm happy that you like your team Sam.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: I like my team and I know you're excited for the fantasy season like I am.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt about it.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_02]: We also have the Papa Bear jumping in a valued member, a super chat superstar.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: Great to see you big dogs says good evening.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos country hashtag god bless the USA.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go, bow.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_02]: Thirteen and four plus plus plus plus.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_02]: I love the consistency of the message Papa Bear.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: Just like last year, I'm old enough to remember that you had that prediction of double digit wins for the Broncos and
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: came true.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_02]: You stuck to your guns and it came true.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's so great to see you.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: We also have the Duchess in the Hizzy.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: Michaela, how are you?
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for the super chat.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_02]: Hope everybody's Labor Day weekend has been great, by the way.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: Not a lot of Broncos news, but we got a lot to talk about tonight.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_02]: Michaela says, Kim, can't believe it's almost time.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_02]: I can feel it.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_02]: My nerves are all tingly.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're almost there.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that feeling Zach of waking up on a Sunday morning and knowing today it's game day and like out that the anticipation, the excitement, the nerves as she's talking about here, not knowing for sure exactly what to expect.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_02]: We're in the, we're in the, we're in the game weight dude, it's here.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then we turn on our TVs on Sunday.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: We hear that familiar CBS jingle, the Fox jingle.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, football season has arrived in the Kayla and I know you're pumped and we're so excited around these parts.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_02]: It feels good, man.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: And like Zach said, this has felt like the longest the season of all time.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, bigger and great to see on Facebook, my friend.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're doing well.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_02]: Really Osborne as well.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_02]: Some shouts.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: Excited for week one.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Sam, uh, second overall pick looks there.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_02]: It is work.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_02]: Why didn't jump on me?
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: Second overall pick, uh, I like it.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_02]: was probably a Homer pick.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: Well, definitely Homer.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: That's for sure.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_02]: Camden jumping in on super chat.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_02]: What's going on, Camden?
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: Great to see you.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_02]: Great to have you.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_02]: Want to invite you to become also a member.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: You're already a super chat superstar.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: Become a member on YouTube.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate your brother.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go Broncos football is almost back.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go Broncos.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, it is, man.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_02]: And it feels good that Broncos were in the building today.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_02]: Football practice getting ready for the Titans.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_02]: Zach, it was kind of fun to hear Sean Peyton today.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get into it.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_02]: Talk a little bit about the upcoming opponent.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: DJ Jones talked today about the upcoming opponent and facing off against his former teammate of a few years in Lloyd Kushenberry III.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_02]: Plus, you got Cody Barton now collecting his paychecks and Tennessee's act.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_02]: So some familiar faces coming our way on Sunday too.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: And Jones really boiled the game down a one simple metric chat.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: The defensive line has to dominate the offensive line.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: And that's exactly what I expect to happen on Sunday.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: Dutch is saying, when will we pay Bonito?
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: It is time.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: I would say soon.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we both thought Chad, it can linger into the season.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe sometime during midseason, considering how the Broncos like to do business, but we know they're negotiating with him, they're negotiating with JFM still, Michaela.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: So they have some, uh, what's the expression Chad, Irons and the fire that we're still working through here?
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a matter of when and not if the beneath gets his bag.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_02]: Well, over the weekend, I was looking for things to write about with no news.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know, even when there's no news,
- 5:18[SPEAKER_02]: Publications like us, that doesn't mean we can't have, we still gotta have content.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: Whether there's news or not, we don't manufacture news, but like we'll find different things when the time is slow.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: For example, I want to say it was ESPN.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_02]: Might have been NFL.com.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was ESPN.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: Tapping Nick Benito as the number one in the NFL.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: Number one.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: free agent of twenty twenty six and it just reading it that way, you know, I wrote it up.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure a lot of you've already even read the article, but reading it that way is that created just like this very mild, but they're nonetheless feeling of alarm.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like we don't want Nick Benito hitting the market.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_02]: Like Brock doesn't need to get on this now granted.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: They still have plenty of time, but it just was kind of a reminder that, well, that's kind of what happens if a player plays out his contract year and there is no new deal.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's also when you have a probal edgerusher Chad first entering his prime.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they're going to be among the top four agents.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Benito's a tremendous player, but Michaela and everybody else in the chat, he's just not worth micro Parsons money.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: And if he's holding out for that, Chad, he is not going to get it from the Broncos.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_02]: We shall see how it shakes out, but I'm still confident they're going to get something done.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: I, you know, there was all this reporting's act that, oh, they're waiting to see how the Hendrickson and the,
- 6:38[SPEAKER_02]: Parsons Domino's fall.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that is those two situations that have played as big a part in whatever the delay has been as.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: Dayton back to my original concern about paying Benito now is was it a one year wonder we want to see it a little bit but honestly Zach even though it's not.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_02]: exactly the same.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_02]: Those few snaps that he played in the preseason granted, it was against as like a Niners second team and all that stuff.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_02]: But nevertheless, I was like, dude, this guy looks like an animal.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_02]: Not only that he has not missed a beat coming off of twenty, twenty foursack, but that he's continuing to ascend.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_02]: And to his credit,
- 7:24[SPEAKER_02]: He's done that each year.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_02]: He's been a pro with the Broncos.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's just that the palpable sense of, oh my gosh, that was a huge leap.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_02]: Only happened last year, even though he hasn't proved year by year.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: So if that's the trend, we can probably expect on him to expecting him anyway to take another step here in his fourth year.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: But I feel like Chad the Broncos have kind of shown their hand, at least George Peyton has by saying repeatedly that Nick Benito is an important piece of the defense we want him here a long time.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: That would suggest that me they have interest in locking him down long term.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go shooting with him actively right now.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: And if you have any interest in doing that, do it now because if you wait until next off season, if you do what the Cowboys did or what the the bangles do with Hendrickson, you're going to end up paying maybe double for the same player.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: Just get it done now if you want to pay him.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there's a lot of truth to that.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, Ricky really cool.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, congrats on your white PS two jersey.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: First time buying a jersey just in time for the Broncos on Sunday.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: That's really cool, buddy.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: Casey Nichol, legendary mythical super chat, super star Ben with us.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: Many, many moons.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_02]: Great to see you, big dog.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're doing well.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_02]: says, my boys, it may be early to say, but I'm feeling, twenty seven thirteen Broncos with the running game opening things up.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_02]: The defense will be suffocating.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like I don't want to get too far out over my ski zack in terms of, you know, feeling all confident about any aspect of this team yet.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like I'm confident, don't get me wrong.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_02]: But like terms of predicting scores, you know, we have our first mile high round table of the season coming up on Thursday.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_02]: So stay tuned for that with our official picks and scores, but
- 9:05[SPEAKER_02]: Are they going to get thirteen points even the titans is my point here like I'm feeling really confident in this defense but they're going to put three scores on the board or maybe two scores and a missed extra point or they tried to go for two and failed or whatever.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think?
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I was going to say.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: My inclination is this game better not be close.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_01]: It should be over by halftime.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we want a fifty nothing Broncos dominating victory, Chad, and there's really no reason why they can't do that if they played at their level, facing the worst team in the league with a rookie quarterback.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think Cam Ward will be good down the line just week one's a really tough matchup.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: And Casey, yeah, this score is a little too close for comfort, though a win is a win is a win.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think the defense will be humming from snap one, though the offense with the issues that we saw in the preseason, it could take a little time to open up as you say here, but I'll take a two touchdown win any day of the week.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, shout out to Max Rio in the house, one of our great superstars and a member really cool to see that you're a member, Max, man.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, pal.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_02]: really appreciate that.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: I also want to give some shout-outs here to our old friend Albert, who's been a longtime member of the community and longtime supporter.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_02]: And we're hoping to see it.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_02]: One of the meet and greets here in the near future again, Big Dog.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_02]: We missed your last year.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: This year it is, of course, week seven, October, nineteenth will be their MHH full effect.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be a gas hope to see you in the misses.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_02]: He says, go Broncos and we will celebrate a win on Sunday's action.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Albert, thank you so much.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: Like Chad said, a throwback member of the community.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I've no doubt the brokers are going to win.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: Chad, I just I want to know by how much they're going to win this game.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_02]: George Fox on Facebook says, great podcast.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: Can we now say it's football season, Broncos for life.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_02]: I may change.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_02]: Hit the thumbs up guys.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, hit those thumbs up.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate that guy.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_02]: Especially if you're watching on Facebook and YouTube helps us out a ton.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, it's definitely football season now.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it felt good.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_02]: Zach just over the weekend watching college football.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like arch manning kind of late in egg in his big highly scrutinized highly anticipated debut granted.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: It was in a really tough environment.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_02]: against a good team in Ohio State, but what do you think?
- 11:13[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think archmanings the real deal like his two uncles, Zach?
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people are reacting to one game.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't look great, but he still has a lot of college career left ahead.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: He had a lot of season left to go.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot of pressure to put on a young kid being the next manning in line in a generational prospect, but to answer what you're just saying here, I'd be considering it football season since training camp.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: So we're definitely going to think of things now.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: What is he?
- 11:40[SPEAKER_02]: So he's a red shirt sophomore.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_02]: Red shirt, right?
- 11:44[SPEAKER_02]: A red shirt sophomore.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, I have my doubts.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just putting it out there.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_02]: Look, I want him to succeed.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_02]: He's a manning.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'd love for the legacy to continue on with him and be reflected in him.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure he's got that same sizzle.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just being frank.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying he doesn't.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm saying to you right now that I've had my doubts all along.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_02]: But this did create I'm not overreacting.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just telling you that kind of made me not move off of my initial what I've had for a while now, which is a little bit of misgivings.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_02]: I hope he turns it around though.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see archman and continue to legacy of the mannings.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_02]: Phil down in Tucson, what's going on big dog great to see you says good evening, Chad Zach and Deacon Scott Scott's on vacay this week.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_02]: Just so you guys know, so you'll be back.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think by Sundays night, like the gut reaction, I believe, but anyway, gonna be fun to watch DJ remind us why Kush isn't here anymore.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_02]: LOL, welcome of Broncos for Life, M.H.H.H.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_02]: for Life.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: Indeed, Zach, to She.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Phil, I just hope that the Titans don't remind the Broncos that Luke Wattenberg is the weakest link on that offensive line because we have our misgivings about him as well.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I mean, I'm glad the Titans overpaid for Kush.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: And, uh, it's in the Broncos gonna convict for him, Chad.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: So it really worked out in Denver's favor there, Phil.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, yep.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_02]: He just, I don't know, he was a real tri-hard and he was consistent in the sense that available for the most part, a couple of setbacks, but very available, starter out of the gates, but at the same time, I have to wonder, you know, if he was the Broncos Center today, like, and he was snapping and blocking, snapping to and blocking for Bonix,
- 13:30[SPEAKER_02]: What do you have looked better?
- 13:31[SPEAKER_02]: Because kind of in the same way, Zach, that everyone else suffers, right?
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: All the skill guys and everyone else on the team suffers one that you've got coaching and quarterback in competency and instability, you know, trickles to the offensive line on some level.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're right.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_01]: They have better coaching now with Peyton Zach Street, but I don't think that Christian Barry fits the archetype chat of what Peyton wants and an offensive lineman.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_01]: He wants a bigger guy with a mean streak and that was not Christian Barry.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: Christian Barry was way more a finesse than power.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_02]: Well said, but it is going to be fun to see that D line going up against Kush and also Cody Barton.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_02]: Look, his stop in Denver was a short term.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_02]: Only a one one year stop.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_02]: He's kind of been relegated to that.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_02]: whatever you want to call it.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: The one-year mercenary type guy, although wasn't Cody Martin's new deal in Tennessee at two-year deal.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: I want to, I'm going to fight him along.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_02]: Deal, Titans.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: I got to confirm this because three-year deal.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_02]: So he finally got some stability out of what he accomplished on a defense last year's act that was as iconic as any in the league last year.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you'll lead the, lead the NFL in SACS.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and he had a few games.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: He wasn't great.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_02]: He wasn't bad.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_02]: He was a solid linebacker, but yeah, what was it that Saints game he found the end zone?
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: So it'll be fun to see Cody Barton.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_01]: I think this says more of that about the Titans than it does, Cody Barton.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_01]: Chad, there's there's so desperate for talent that they're giving him a three year deal.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: This is what I was saying earlier.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: If the Broncos don't win this game, handily, it'd be kind of a disappointment in my opinion.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_02]: So our friend Keith Brugman says on Facebook, the matchup of this game will be the Broncos offensive line versus the Titans defensive line.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to dictate, you know, when we talk about score predictions, I mean, Brad, great member here, Sam, forty two, ten Denver, Daniels echoing Kate KC, twenty seven, thirteen, but
- 15:33[SPEAKER_02]: The score margin, the Broncos are going to win this game.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: The margin those act by which they do, I will agree with Keith is going to be very much informed by how the Broncos offensive line handles itself against the Titans front seven because not only Zach are we talking about protecting Bonix and
- 15:52[SPEAKER_02]: given him the time he needs to be a passer.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: But are we getting this ground game going or not?
- 15:57[SPEAKER_02]: Like are we getting this thing off the ground?
- 15:59[SPEAKER_02]: And this is, this is a good opportunity to begin setting the tone.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, it's tough to just read into the box score.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the game could look a lot differently than the score suggests, but yeah, the Broncos want to start hot.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's what Sean Payton has talked about, Chad, for months, not having that slow start like last season.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: We saw the issues in the preseason on offense with the blocking, some of the quarterback protection breaking down.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: We want to see that coalesce in week one and then just blow the gates off of the Tennessee Titans.

- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: All right, back to the chat.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_02]: There's some things that Sean Peyton talked about today's act that I want to get to.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_02]: And in fact, while we let things continue to percolate in the chat, let's touch on a few of these things.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_02]: So first things first, Sean Peyton today was, was asked about planning for the number one overall pick, Cam Ward.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_02]: What's the plan, et cetera?
- 18:31[SPEAKER_02]: And how do you plan, et cetera?
- 18:34[SPEAKER_02]: He said,
- 18:35[SPEAKER_02]: We do all of it.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_02]: We have a limited exposure in the preseason with him.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_02]: Then you'd have to go back and look at his college tape at Miami, just to get a feel for not only his arm strength, but how does he handle pressure?
- 18:48[SPEAKER_02]: How does he handle his own, et cetera?
- 18:51[SPEAKER_02]: We do a pretty in-depth study.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's pretty normal when you play teams early in the season, maybe to not have all the information you might have when you play a team say Zach, week eight, or week nine, close quote.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_02]: how concerning is it to you that they don't have anything really Zach other than his college tape with which to kind of scheme and game plan against Cammore.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that would concern me if this was later in the season, but Chad, it's week one, it also cuts both ways.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: Cam Ward doesn't have any experience under his belt either, and his week one, his first ever NFL regular season game, he's going to Denver the altitude to play the best defense in the NFL, a playoff team at that.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: I am not too concerned, especially when you look at the support around Cam Ward, Chad,
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: His best offensive weapon is Calvin Ridley.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: He has Tyler Lockett, Van Jefferson, Tony Poweller.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_01]: His tight end is cheek, a conco, we talked about Lloyd Kushenberry.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_01]: This is not exactly a superpower offense.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: And if the Broncos defense struggles against this group of players, again, it's going to be very disappointing.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_02]: Indeed, and there's also the statistic off the top of my head.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to remember the exact statistic.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: So since I can't remember it specifically, I'll just generalize it, which is just simply to say, rookie quarterbacks, but especially number one overall picks quarterbacks, making their first career start on the road, have a woeful, woeful NFL record.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: So it doesn't plan to his
- 20:26[SPEAKER_02]: benefit too well that in and of itself, Zach.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_02]: But then you go, you're going up against as the first overall pick, yes, but a rookie, making his first NFL start, the defense that literally led the NFL in sacks last season.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: And it's a little sketch for him to say the least, combine that with you're going up against arguably the best secondary in the NFL.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's not going to be an easy day.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I expect to be Frank Zach just based on what we saw in the preseason.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: I expect there to be a little bit of Lucy go see the first driver to it.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_02]: Meaning hundred percent agreed.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_02]: You might see him get a feel go on the board early.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_02]: You might see him even get a touchdown on the board early and then it's going to be curtains.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_02]: You know, they'll get a little bit of a liquor to in early as the Broncos are still kind of
- 21:15[SPEAKER_02]: getting their game legs beneath them and these new starters like Tylenol, Hufanga and Dreg Green Lot, etc.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_02]: Kind of get there, thing figured out, but it'll be very short-lived.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos are gonna handle the Titans.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_02]: Now real quick, hey coach, what have you seen from the Titans?
- 21:32[SPEAKER_02]: Compared to the twenty, twenty-four Titans of last year that qualified for the number one overall pick.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: Quote, Sean Peyton.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_02]: A couple of things, they've made a commitment in the offensive line, signing a couple of big name free agents, drafted another player.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_02]: I think on the perimeter with Tyler Locket there, their skill people receiver wise.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_02]: Pardon me, has definitely improved the number one thing that stood out.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_02]: I've worked with Titans offensive line coach Bill Callahan before.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_02]: He is a fantastic line coach and I'm sure they felt they had to get better in that area and they committed a lot of resources there close quotes that.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's not going to say that they're just a totally inept franchise that the Broncos are going to beat the brakes off of.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: They do, there's talent there.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: They're an NFL organization.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: But again, the Broncos just have more talent than they do.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: And as long as they, and I hundred percent agree with you, by the way, there's nothing quantifiable about what you say, but it's like a vibe feeling, like a, like a gut feeling that you get watching the Broncos.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: I would not be surprised either.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: If Tony Pollard ripped off like a forty-yard run or a concovo, the tight end had a big catch and run that put the tightens and feel gold rain.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: I expect that to happen.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to start slow in the first couple drives and then as Chad said the clamps are going to go on and it's going to be hopefully got wheeling a blowout from that point forward.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_02]: Jason, thank you for being a member big dog.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: He says the run game will likely take a little bit to get going looking for the O line to have a clean game penalty wise offensive points may be a little lower than us fans want to see but a win nonetheless.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know man.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_02]: I think similarly
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: To the defense, you might see a little bit of a clunky first possession or two, but there's so much talent on this offense and bonus.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_02]: He's primed to have a big year too.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think they're going to be held down too long, especially against an opponent like this.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to start seeing the running backs, do their thing.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to start seeing Evan Ingraham, ripping off big chunk plays, Cortland Sutton, Marvin Mims, by the way, returned to practice today as Sean Peyton expected when he talked about the growing injury last week.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_02]: So that was good to see Zach.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what it's so nice about having Bow Knicks as your quarterback because he's so resilient.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_01]: He always bounces back.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos might not win the game, always they will.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: And we won.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: But even if they start slow, you can count on him to get better as the game goes on.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: We saw it in the preseason finale against the same chat.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone was clutching their pearls because they didn't look good on the first couple series.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_01]: He had it Bow and company respond a nice touchdown to Portland Sutton.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I expect to happen as well on Sunday.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_02]: Here we have Todd Austin Dorf, a great member jumping in to say, a hundred fifty yards rushing between Harvey and Dobbins would be a great start to the run game outside of Bonix.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_02]: It was kind of interesting Zack today, also Sean Peyton was asked how much of Bonix, the rushing stuff, the attempts, is that going to be similar this year as it was last year and he said, quote,
- 24:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's a little misleading if you're looking at those numbers and you're writing a story on it.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_02]: When you drop back to pass, one of his strengths is the off schedule throws and then periodically the decision to keep it.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't break the huddle with a quarterback run, meaning like,
- 24:45[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't call too many quarterback runs last year of all those rushes that bow had back to Peyton quote.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_02]: So the latter part of the question, I hope and I think you're going to have a chance to see a more efficient run game, meaning from the running backs.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_02]: One of the great strengths with Bow's game is when the pocket gets a little dirty and he can move left and right throw on the run.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_02]: He can decide to keep it and gain twelve yards.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_02]: That part of his game, we wouldn't address close quote.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_02]: In other words, when he sees an opportunity, they're not trying to coach that out of him.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's that backyard football mentality that you can't coach.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_01]: You can't instill.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_01]: You can't teach.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: You can't tell someone how to do that.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_01]: You have it or you don't.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: Early career Russell Wilson made a championship living off of that.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what Bowenix has.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_01]: Remember back to that I think it was the first Charger's game.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: Bowles blew a block and Bow had that awareness to avoid a sack and then he scrambled around and ran for like twenty yards.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_01]: That the improvisational ability, you cannot take away from bow, but you can be more strategic when you call a design run.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, he had that back fracture to Chad last season.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, thank you Clayton.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_02]: Smash that like button and share.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, appreciate that message.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_02]: Taylor, one of our great super chat superstars members jumping in on super chat to say, PS two.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: Number ten highest since Vaughan was number two in twenty seventeen zek talking about the top one hundred yeah the top one hundred uh I don't know if the tireless was revealed but a PS two did come into number ten so four Broncos players this means that Quinn minors won't make it I think Quinn minors got snubbed here but four Broncos players did make the top a hundred you got certain number ten the detail number thirty eight bow nicks at number sixty four and Zach Allen at number ninety
- 26:33[SPEAKER_02]: even bonix making it surprise a lot of people none of us so much we expect we hope for it the very least if not expected it but you know guys who maybe aren't as partial in terms of they don't have the.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_02]: What emotional.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_02]: Connection whatever as a fan like Scott's a good example when I floated.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_02]: Oh man, it bone X better make it did with how good he was last year.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he better make the list.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_02]: He's the phone X ain't make it be top one hundred.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_02]: You crazy.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_02]: So it's good to see bone X make it.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_02]: It is this heartening though.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_02]: Quinn minors.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: The thing about this is it matters because these are his peers.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_02]: This is as voted on only by the players.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_02]: So it's a little disheartening and it goes to show Quinn minors still has a little bit of
- 27:21[SPEAKER_02]: ground to cover Zach in terms of making his presence felt to his opponents and peers.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I guess it's important from an accolade standpoint.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: We all know Quinn minors is one of the best linemen in the league.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: And Chad, they have that protector of the year award now in the NFL.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_01]: We expect minors to be contending for that seriously.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_02]: We got Phil jumping in again to say, let's not forget this is a revenge game.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_02]: The only time we opened against the Titans in was twenty twenty.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_02]: We lost sixteen fourteen.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: going to be a big win, twenty eight three Broncos.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even remember that game, China.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: It feels like a fiber dream.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, that was the, that's the Josie Jewel game where he stacked Derek Henry in the backfield.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: It might have been.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: So it was Drew Locke.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_02]: Drew got hurt the next week in Pittsburgh.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: missed the next three or four games, Sutton also got hurt in Pittsburgh and walked missed the rest of the season.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_02]: I remember week two on.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_02]: I honestly don't remember the title season opener, man, like my brain blocked it out, but yeah, revenge, baby, let's get it.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I remember the highlight of Josie Jules career was stacking up Henry, and he just bulldozed him in the backfield.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_02]: Let me see something here.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going back to
- 28:40[SPEAKER_01]: It actually happened.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_01]: I just looked it up to sixteen fourteen Tennessee.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'm checking the box score.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, what on the field goal?
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: So Lock did start.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_02]: Tana Hills had a Tana Hill type of game, two hundred fifty two touchdowns, no picks.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_02]: We only sack them once.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_02]: Drew Locke had a relatively pedestrian game, but you know, looking back on Locke his tenure in Denver anyways.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: Heck, it was a pretty solid game for him.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, twenty two of thirty three for two hundred sixteen and a touchdown no picks.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, but he did fumble twice.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: So it wasn't exactly a perfect game for, uh, older lock, but anyway, yes, back to the point though here from, from Phil.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get that revenge, baby.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Chad, really quickly looking at the, uh, the box score of these names is a blast from the past.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: No offense.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: Jerry Judy, Tim Patrick, day Shawn Hamilton, Royce Freeman, Phillip Lindsey, Melvin Gordon, Tyree Cleveland, Jake Bud and Nick Venett.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_01]: feels like a lifetime ago.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_02]: Old Nick Vanet, yeah, that's true.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_02]: Rodney, I hope our punter lives up to expectations and gets better on his punter.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna blame Rizzi for drafting him.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_02]: The team, for what it's worth, the team does not seem concerned about it.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_02]: And Sean Peyton last week Zach revealed how the Broncos had kind of
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: focused in on it seems to be that first punt that really takes his average in a given game.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: And so they have worked into their practice schedule.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_02]: away to kind of get that ice broken the feeling of that first kick out get his wiggles out so to speak long before they get to quote unquote punt period.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_02]: So the hope of doing it that way is to basically get him more poised so that when he gets that first punt there's no shaking is there's no it's like every day stuff I've done this a billion times but you know kicking is weird and punting is kicking right so it's very much more of a
- 30:50[SPEAKER_02]: Stroke thing.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's very golf oriented in that battle in the guy between your own ears, right?
- 30:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like so you know, but I'm not too worried about it.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_02]: Am I moderately anxious?
- 31:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, am I like freaked out and panicked am I predicting doom?
- 31:04[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: Right there with you, my friend.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, a lot of Broncos fans didn't like Riley Dixon because he had no ceiling as a ponder.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_01]: And now, Broncos fans don't like Crosha because he has no floor as a ponder.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's still a rookie.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's a tough transition.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: Always a matter of the position from college to the pros.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: It was a sixth round pick and he could be a weapon shed and I think he still will be a weapon.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: Just give him some time.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_01]: Let him blossom as any other rookie gets the same amount of grace.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_02]: All right, back to some interesting topics.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_02]: You have this story, Zach.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to cliff note the version of what Sean Payton said today about Broncos Legend, AT Perry.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, it's worth talking about what he had to say.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's fully healthy and all that, which is good to hear, but break it down for people.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: So, um, he was asked.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: Sean Peyton was about the progression of, of AT Perry, who was cut from the fifty three, resigned to the practice squad.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_01]: One of only two receivers on the practice squad, along with Michael Bandy, but Sean Peyton said he's progressed quite a bit.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: Um, he talked about.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: He was frustrating getting the setback of the injury that Perry had.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_01]: that kind of tank his chances of making the fifty three, but as Sean said, he's participating now, he's developmental, he's long, he's got good strong hands, so we've been encouraged, and it's good to have him back on the field healthy.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's not going to push for the fifty three anytime soon, Chad, but this seems like Sean Payton still has an affinity for AT Perry.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: Wouldn't surprise me, you know, an injury on the depth chart, he'll be the first guy elevated on game day.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_02]: They like him.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: There's something about him.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's got that six foot five frame.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: So obviously, that's a, that's a great starting point.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_02]: If you're trying to catch on with a Sean Peyton team as a wide receiver, having that height in that size.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_02]: And then you go back, Zach, and look what he did at his very brief career in New Orleans.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_02]: And there is some intrigue there.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_02]: You go back and read some of the scouting reports stuff on him when he was coming out of college.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of it was route tree.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_02]: hands didn't have the fastest forty but he just is one of those guys similar but different but similar in the sense of like Pat Bryan there's nothing really about him that like jumps out that stuns you in terms of his measurables or some of his testing but he's just a guy that plays different you know you can't judge Bryant based on the underwear Olympics for example judge him solely based on what he does as a football player when he's on the field and
- 33:39[SPEAKER_02]: You kind of have to look at it that way with AT Perry in terms of trying to understand that why the Broncos continued to hold on with him where they had multiple other young receivers this summer shine like Courtney Jackson, even walking Davis at times, et cetera.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, in my research of AT Perry, he appeared in ten games in twenty twenty three.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: He was a sixth round draft pick of New Orleans.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_01]: He had twelve catches, two hundred and forty six yards and four touchdowns.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's not terrible, Chad, for a backup receiver or developmental guy.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: He was a two-time first team all ACC honor player at Lake Faris.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: He ran a four, four, seven, forty, thirty five inch vertical jump Chad.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: And he had a third round draft grade from NFL media, Land Zerline.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: You kind of see why based on potential why the Broncos are keeping him around.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so that's the AT Perry news.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_02]: We also got confirmation from Peyton today.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_02]: Before I say this, there have been questions.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_02]: Eric wrote about this over the weekend.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_02]: You know, how much of a pitch count are single ten and green long going to be on because yeah, you've got two other linebackers on the fifty three.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_02]: Stir nod and read and then they carried three inside linebackers or carrying three on the practice squad and Sean Peyton has talked so much about pitch counts and being smart in the season.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_02]: We weren't sure what to expect, who is going to have the green dot?
- 35:01[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it turns out Zack, it is indeed going to be Alex Singleton.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_02]: And that being the case as the green dot guy, he's the signal caller on defense.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_02]: He's the quarterback of the defense, which tells me that while Drake Greenlaw, Zack might be a little bit kind of slow rolled into things.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_02]: little bit of a pitch count the first couple of games tell things really tighten up on that schedule starting week three against the chargers.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_02]: You might see him green law on a pitch count.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he will see singleton on a pitch count if he's got that wrap on his arm and we'll see how much of a club he ends up having on Sunday.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_02]: But if he's out if he's dressed he's playing and he's playing all the snaps that he would normally play.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, say what you want about Singleton.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: I've said plenty about him, but the Broncos coaching staff, they love him.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's considered a glue guy in that locker room in the middle of the defense.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: That's a big responsibility to get Chad as the middle linebacker to where the green dot.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: And that's I think two years on a row now for Singleton.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_01]: So you see why they kept him around Chad and I'll admit it on KK.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_01]: I said he could be a name that the Broncos looked to move on from.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_01]: Then I kind of corrected my home point and said,
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: Despite his limitations, he is so important to what VJ wants to do on defense right in the middle.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: So he's not going anywhere.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_02]: Which, by the way, guys, speaking of KK, the next addition is tomorrow at noon, mountain time to PME student.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_02]: So be ready for that members.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's a members only live stream at noon, mountain time to Eastern.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_02]: Be ready for that.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_02]: Zach Scott.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you want to share what you got planned for it yet, but either way, it's going to be a lot of fun.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there will be some hot takes that hold water.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: I want to keep you guys as I always do in suspense.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, rich.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_02]: Singleton is what every team needs.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_02]: He's the legit lunch pal.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, what Sean Peyton said today.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_02]: He said that quote.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_02]: He's a great communicator.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_02]: There are a couple of things.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to say that there must's, but are certainly pluses for inside linebackers.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_02]: Number one, instincts tackling.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_02]: But he is a calming influence relative to getting the defense lined up.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: He wears the green dot.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: his leadership so all those things outside of just his ability to play in tackle he communicates well he's I'm sure considered one of our leaders so it's hard to replace that when there's a lot of intangible things that you lose with a player like that so especially speaking back to last year's act where they had to play fourteen games without him because of that ACL yeah you missed the sideline to sideline stuff that he provides but all the intangible stuff you miss a lot maybe even more so
- 37:47[SPEAKER_01]: Same applied to Josie Jewel, you know, a few years ago.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: He was their glue guy and he had limitations.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: Same really applied even the Derek Wolf back in the day chat.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't the best defensive lineman in the NFL.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: He was a good player when he was healthy, but he was just so important.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: He was the heart and soul of that defense.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what I think Singleton is to Vijay.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, indeed.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_02]: So while we're lasting here, still on the subject of linebackers,
- 38:14[SPEAKER_02]: The question about Drake Greenlaw, and hey, you didn't play him in the preseason.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: Are we going to be seeing him Sunday?
- 38:22[SPEAKER_02]: You know, what's the deal?
- 38:23[SPEAKER_02]: And here's what he said, quote, Sean Peyton on green lock quote, he hadn't played in the preseason, but he's gotten a lot of work.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_02]: We're being smart.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_02]: We're being conservative relative to our approach.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's a long season.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_02]: So most importantly, having him not only healthy early on, but for the long haul is the goal.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_02]: And then he closes with saying, yes, there's always risk when you're lining up out there, playing a position like that, certainly.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_02]: But he's very much in tune.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_02]: to what we're doing close quote.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_02]: So Eric trickle for example, Zach had written that the vibe we're hearing and the vibe we're getting, I should say, around Broncos HQ is pitch count the first couple games and then probably starting week three full blown Drey Greenlaw and then when there are opportunities
- 39:10[SPEAKER_02]: whether it's in-game situations, opponents on a schedule.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos might keep it mounted a little bit more and let's utilize more of the rotation, but probably those first two games, you're gonna see him.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_02]: Finally, you're gonna see him out there, but I don't think he's gonna play the same number of snaps as Alex Singleton.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_01]: I can a hundred percent see that, too.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: And the Broncos have to ask themselves a question every week.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_01]: Can we beat this team without drag green law?
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the Broncos can beat the Titans and the Colts, the first two games without green law.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like you said, though, and like Eric wrote, week three onward is when it starts getting a little more difficult.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I would rather save in a sense, green law for the games that matter.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, pitch counted first and then ramp up as the season goes on hopefully.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_02]: So hopefully that answers your question Todd.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, he's available.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to see him, but he's probably going to be on a pitch count.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_02]: Transitioning here to a different subject from Phil.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_02]: Do you guys see a possible time that Calvin Throck Morton on the practice squad interior offensive line and gets called up?
- 40:09[SPEAKER_01]: Zach, what's your answer here?
- 40:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's quite the transition.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_01]: I would assume that unless there's an injury, Phil that Throck Morton is not going to be called up, they have their guys that they like right now to starters in the backup.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_01]: So unless an injury arises, I don't see that happening.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_02]: In his defense, you know, Throck Morton, that's not so much in his defense.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_02]: What I'll say about him is after Nick Gargulo went down.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_02]: Nick Nick was quite clearly the best backup swing guy.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like he was starting to really get visions of letting Ben powers go dancing in people's heads kind of going well.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_02]: Well, maybe we can get away with jumping the gun on powers.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_02]: But when he went down, that went away.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_02]: And you look at the backups they have.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_02]: So here's your here you got Ben powers on the roster.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_02]: Quinn miners obviously you get to.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_02]: Well, how do they have organized on the I guess the easiest thing for me to do will be.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: Let me find it a different way here real quick.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_02]: This will be easier for me than trying to read their designations hang tight.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'm giving you the breakdown on the roster of the the backups.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_02]: I got to remind myself.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: There it is.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_02]: So on the offensive line, the Broncos be sides of the starters.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: They kept Matt Pert, Alex Paltchewski, Alex Forsyth and Frank Crum.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_02]: Forsyth and Paltchewski.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_02]: So Paltchewski Zach is the
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, if McGilinchi goes down, he's going in on the right, at right tackle, but he's also the position versatile guy.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_02]: They like him as a guard as well.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_02]: So if something happens to one of the two starters at guard, pal Cheski's probably the first guy into the fray.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_02]: followed by Forsyth, who's mainly those act more of just straight up backup center.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_02]: So I echo what you said.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_02]: The only way you're really going to see Throck Morton is God forbid.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: There's a significant injury higher up the the depth chart.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I know we're talking about like a third string offensive lineman, but I was never that blown away by his game tape.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: I agree with what Richie said though in that comments.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_01]: The backup lineman, the Broncos have palcho.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's the one that intrigues me and I hope that he could continue developing in his role.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Najde jumping in on super chat.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_02]: Legend.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_02]: We love this man.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_02]: Looking forward to seeing you, brother, in a month and a half.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_02]: Najde says, uh, Game Week brothers, weary about this week, huge favorites, high expectations, playing a team with nothing to lose that has a decent online that will give us fits.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_02]: Winning this week will prove a lot, but it's only one game.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_02]: These are, I think, fair and justified misgiving slash, you know, fears.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_02]: We'll just say fears.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, decent online, as we talked about earlier, Sean Peyton gave him props, because that's one of his core philosophies, right?
- 43:02[SPEAKER_02]: You start by building the offensive line and that to quote, parcells percolates throughout the entire program and building is whatever tone you're setting on the online.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_02]: So the Titans with Bill Callahan now is their old line coach.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_02]: They're taking that cue.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_02]: They're definitely improved there.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think in the, his final point here is that winning this week will prove a lot, even though it's only one game.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos are being perceived.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_02]: They're being built now, Zach, as a team that wins the games they're supposed to win.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_02]: This is one of those games.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_02]: So in the sense that what does it prove?
- 43:38[SPEAKER_02]: It helps to reinforce the read that we have on them both locally and then the national read for the most part, you know, you throw out whack jobs like Nick Wright and whatnot.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm saying the general, even national consensus that the Broncos are a bona fide playoff caliber team, all right, prove it by handling, not just defeating the Titans.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_02]: You got to go out and kind of handle them.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, this isn't college football's act where style points are attributed to anything meaningful, but still go out there and handle the Titans.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: No one's gonna be surprised if the Broncos beat the Titans.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone would be surprised if the Broncos lose to the Titans, Chad.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's one of those things that it works that way.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_01]: The only thing that would prove to me is that the Titans are an inferior team compared to Denver.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: And we know that already.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_01]: I do slightly disagree onage when thank you so much for your support as always, that they have nothing to lose.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_01]: Again, this game would scare me more Chad if this was week, seventeen or week, eighteen.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_01]: And the Broncos were facing a win and in and the Titans were playing spoiler.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_01]: But in week one, the Titans are,
- 44:36[SPEAKER_01]: playing for a playoff spot.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_01]: They're playing to have a competitive season.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_01]: So it's only week one.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_01]: The season still very young, obviously.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_01]: So they're going to be pressing and they're going to be tight and they're going to be trying to win.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be in a tough environment.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't see it turning out in Tennessee's favor.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_01]: Even if the Broncos have a bad game or a slow start, they're just too much more talented than the Titans are to lose this game chat at home in week one.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: And even now, as still a young team, there are more experienced team to the Broncos with this core leadership that they have.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_02]: They've just more bullets, but if you know, live bullet experience, if you look at it from the Titans perspective.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, this is their season opener, too, and all their fans are going, man, can we make the playoffs with our exciting number one overall pick, Cam Ward?
- 45:19[SPEAKER_02]: You know, there's a tough opponent, but, you know, it's Cam Ward.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, you don't take it lightly, and I'm not saying for the record that the Broncos have to go out there and like blow out the Titans, but it can't, I don't think
- 45:34[SPEAKER_02]: Even if they, if they win the game, Zack and it's twenty nineteen, you're going to see some misgivings.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to see people go, man, is this the team we thought they're going to be?
- 45:43[SPEAKER_02]: They just got to go out there, even if it's, look, it doesn't even have to be the score.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_02]: The score, throw the score to the side to my point.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_02]: How do you look?
- 45:51[SPEAKER_02]: It is a pretty clear that you're handling a team that is less talented, less experienced, less, where with all at the coaching level, etc.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like go out there and prove
- 46:01[SPEAKER_02]: that you can beat the teams that you're supposed to be.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_01]: And if they do end up winning, twenty and nineteen, we'll get on here for the gut reaction and say a wins a wins a win instead of the legend.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_01]: We'll point out where the broccas can improve.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_01]: We'll critique them, but we're not going to poo poo a win around these parts by any means.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_02]: Not at all.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'd rather so great to see you.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, buddy.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_02]: Really cool, really cool.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, Zach, we also, there were
- 46:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of obvious we kind of knew this beforehand, but the injury settlement kind of clouded things over the weekend.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_02]: It was reported, I think it was Chris Thomason of the Denver Gazette, yes, it was, who reported that, quote, after recently waving running back Blake Watson, the Broncos have interest in signing him to the practice squad,
- 46:56[SPEAKER_02]: But they would have to wait at least three weeks after agreeing to an injury settlement with him.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_02]: Watson suffered a PCL strain at New Orleans and is busy rehabbing what is not a long-term injury close quote.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_02]: So the Broncos Zach on the practice squad currently.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, three linebackers, two wide receivers.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_02]: They got a couple of tight ends.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_02]: They don't have a running back.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it's only a matter of time before Blake does resigning with the Broncos.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_01]: They like him and in their defense chat, I did like what I saw from Blake Watson both last season and with preseason.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_01]: He has some wiggle.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, totally nuts.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_02]: What I want to see is our run game do something great.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_02]: Man, if the run game comes alive early, it's going to portend so many great things for bonics.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, oh my goodness, man.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just think if you think back to
- 47:55[SPEAKER_02]: The Jake Plummer years and just having a set and forget that twelve to fifteen hundred yard rusher behind you each and every year.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_02]: Jake Plummer still one of my favorite Broncos of all time.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_02]: My second favorite Bronco quarterbacks.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_02]: I still have, he's, he's above Peyton Manning for me.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_02]: John O'Way, Jake Plummer.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_02]: Peyton Manning just because of the emotional thing from, you know, might me being a fan back then, but Jake Plummer at the same time, I, I'm not saying that in a qualitative sense, I recognize obviously Peyton Manning is a far greater quarterback was way more talented and obviously
- 48:29[SPEAKER_02]: a lot more accomplished, but what equalized things for Jake Plummersack and allowed him to do the things that he did as the Broncos starter back in the day was that foundation of a threatening run game that opponents absolutely had to be ready for.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_02]: And just the way it set up that that play action is a beautiful thing.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_02]: And so I want to see that again for Bonix.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what makes Bonix's twenty twenty four rookie season all that more impressive what he accomplished and what the Brock with accomplished with no running game whatsoever, no dependable tight end and no real clear number two wide receiver they've improved all those areas tenfold in my opinion and and I agree with the comment we want to all see it coalescing come together and I think it will maybe not be week one right out of the gates, but it will eventually
- 49:17[SPEAKER_02]: All right, guys, we got a couple of messages for you.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_02]: Then we're going to dip on out of here.

- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_01]: Just like you.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, another little fun piece of news that this podcast saw coming from a mile away.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_02]: Jadde Barrenzac has officially switched his number from twelve to twenty three.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_02]: He's taken the former Audrick estimate number officially.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_02]: So I hope everybody listened to my advice when I said, don't run out quite yet and buy the Baron jerseys because first of all, the number in and of itself right out of the gates, just generally speaking, rookies, unless it's like Bonyx, getting his same college number, you want to wait a little bit on the draft picks to see how it shakes out after the final cuts in terms of what numbers go where.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_02]: But also,
- 51:14[SPEAKER_02]: after what he said Zach and rookie mini camp that he's like, yeah, I don't love it.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_02]: But it was the number assigned to me.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm going to do it justice.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm going to try and bring honor and cloud to this jersey number in this team, which is a great thing to say, but he made it clear.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_02]: Zach, he wasn't he didn't choose twelve.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_02]: That was assigned to him.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_02]: And so we could we could foresee that at the first opportunity for him to change it to a number that he did like he was going to do it.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_02]: So how do you feel about the first round pick, rock in twenty three?
- 51:41[SPEAKER_01]: Well, who would want Paxton Lynch's old number?
- 51:43[SPEAKER_01]: I certainly wouldn't.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_01]: I can't blame Baron for turning that early, you know, being kind of apathetic toward it.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think he looks a lot better in twenty three.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's more of an offensive backs number.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_01]: And there's no official changes beyond Baron that I heard today, but there's a little birdie out there tweeting figuratively that RJ Harvey could be next to changes number jet.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_02]: We shall see.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of like thirty seven for him to be honest with you because especially the way it shook out.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_02]: bring in in Dobbins who also rocked a seven jersey, twenty seven.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_02]: I like that it's twenty seven and thirty seven.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see you could be right based on the buzz.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_02]: That's kind of where the anticipation and scrutiny is falling right now.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_02]: Jersey watch wise is on RJ because also Pat Brian got hit the number he wanted.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_02]: You know, if you're looking at like, save you on Jones, that's the number he got solid for him.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_02]: That's really the only one to kind of go, hmm.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_02]: Just jumping it on super chat.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_02]: Great to see you, brother.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're doing well.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_02]: He says, Peyton gave us the business back.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_02]: Give us the business back to back years.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Peyton Manning.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my, huh.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_02]: For sure.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_02]: I love Peyton Manning.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_02]: Don't get me wrong.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm here for Peyton Manning all day long.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just telling you that
- 52:59[SPEAKER_02]: Emotional Chad Lizard Brain of Bronco Quarterbacks.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_02]: It goes L.A.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_02]: Plumber.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_02]: Manning.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_02]: I love those plumber years.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, I was seriously heartbroken as much as I would go on to, of course, love and support J. Cutler while he was a Bronco.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_02]: I was devastated when Mike Shanahan benched J. Plumber for what it's worth.
