If you want to “Make America Great Again,” let’s actually look at when the continent was actually great.
Trump and MAGA want to take you back to the 1950s, which was an era built on segregation, the destruction of the environment, and rampant consumerism. But if we go back further, before European contact, there was zero homelessness, zero medical debt, and zero starvation. Society was organized around the collective good, where hoarding wealth while your neighbour starved was unthinkable. That’s what early anthropologists called “primitive communism.”
So yeah, let’s make America great again…
