Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Danny and Cole, 97.1 Hank FM.
- 0:03Speaker 2: I don't know if the internet just hates me today
- 0:05Speaker 2: or if it hates these computers.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I've tried to log in for the last 20 minutes.
- 0:10Speaker 1: I got nothing. Is your laptop working over there?
- 0:13Speaker 3: I had no issues.
- 0:15Speaker 4: I connected to the internet faster than I've ever connected
- 0:17Speaker 4: to the internet.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I have like eight computers in front of me right now.
- 0:22Speaker 3: None of them work. So I don't know.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Maybe it's just me. Maybe I need to go home.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Maybe that's what it's telling me.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:30Speaker 4: Like, I always have the rule when it's cold outside
- 0:33Speaker 4: that if I slip on ice, then I'm not going
- 0:35Speaker 4: wherever I'm going.
- 0:36Speaker 3: I'm going home. And I feel like that rule should
- 0:38Speaker 3: extend to the internet.
- 0:39Speaker 4: If the internet doesn't work where I'm going, as long as, like,
- 0:43Speaker 4: the internet is supposed to work where I'm going, you know?
- 0:45Speaker 4: It's not like I'm going out for a hike in
- 0:47Speaker 4: the middle of the woods. The internet is supposed to
- 0:49Speaker 4: work there, and it doesn't, then, yeah, I'll just go home.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Okay.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Well, my entire, like, routine was thrown off by this.
- 0:57Speaker 1: We do have.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Too much going on today for me to go home.

- 1:50Speaker 2: you what time it's annie and.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Cole they did what i kind of heard these stories
- 1:56Speaker 4: before but i don't know if you've heard it like
- 1:59Speaker 4: this like the When the bride and groom are up
- 2:01Speaker 4: there and they're doing their vows or whatever, and then
- 2:04Speaker 4: one of them accidentally says somebody else's name.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Don't get married.
- 2:11Speaker 4: A woman from Australia is going viral for sharing a
- 2:13Speaker 4: clip from her wedding ceremony where her guy accidentally used
- 2:20Speaker 4: her sister's name. Ooh.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Ooh is right. She laughs it off.
- 2:28Speaker 4: And I don't know, it seems like they keep going,
- 2:32Speaker 4: but everyone's like giving the same reaction you did.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe step aside and have a quick conversation at least.
- 2:39Speaker 5: What?
- 2:40Speaker 1: Sandy and Cole 97.1 Hank FM. Full in on spooky season.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I finished putting up my decorations yesterday, both indoor and outdoor.
- 2:49Speaker 2: It went a lot quicker than I thought it was
- 2:52Speaker 2: going to because half of my lights did not work.
- 2:56Speaker 6: No.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Thankfully, I was smart. And I plugged them in before
- 3:00Speaker 1: I put them up. Have you ever done that before?
- 3:02Speaker 1: You put a whole bunch of stuff up, you plug
- 3:04Speaker 1: it in, and it doesn't work?
- 3:06Speaker 2: Yes.
- 3:06Speaker 3: I have. Because we did that last year with our
- 3:10Speaker 3: Christmas tree.
- 3:11Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 3:11Speaker 4: And now I'm just now remembering that we didn't get
- 3:14Speaker 4: a new Christmas tree yet.
- 3:15Speaker 3: You know what, mine?
- 3:17Speaker 1: I don't even use it. It's been in the box
- 3:19Speaker 1: for five years.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Do the lights work? Good question.
- 3:25Speaker 2: We've got your chance to win Indie Scream Park Passes.
- 3:28Speaker 1: You're going to name that scream coming up in two songs.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Terry and Cole, 97.1 Hank FM.
- 3:39Speaker 1: We are getting.
- 3:40Speaker 2: In spooky season, baby. And we've got your Indie Scream
- 3:45Speaker 2: Park Passes.
- 3:46Speaker 3: A four pack of reps. You're rocking pumpkins today.
- 3:51Speaker 2: So this is probably why I need to throw out
- 3:55Speaker 2: clothing or donate it because I now forget I put
- 3:58Speaker 2: stuff in our guest bedroom closet.
- 4:00Speaker 1: My holiday gear.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Okay.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I switch out sports seasons too a lot too.
- 4:05Speaker 2: I forgot about these and I was putting something away
- 4:07Speaker 2: and I was like, oh, I've got holiday sweaters to wear.
- 4:11Speaker 1: So here we are.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Sorry, we're getting a little sidetracked here. My parents are
- 4:16Speaker 3: moving out.
- 4:17Speaker 5: Right.
- 4:18Speaker 4: And so they're cleaning out closets. And they showed me
- 4:21Speaker 4: the bags that they're planning on sending to Goodwill. It
- 4:23Speaker 4: was like nine trash bags full of clothes.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Every time I move, keep, donate, throw away.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I like it.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Hey, well, we've got Indie Scream Park tickets. That's why
- 4:32Speaker 4: we are here this morning. We're going to get there eventually.

- 4:40Speaker 3: Here's your scream this morning.
- 4:41Speaker 4: No!
- 4:41Speaker 3: Gary Clarkson!
- 4:48Speaker 1: Again, they don't have to be horror movies.
- 4:51Speaker 4: You've been pulling these screams and I didn't know what
- 4:53Speaker 4: to expect there.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, that's a good.
- 4:57Speaker 3: You're gonna scream again this morning.
- 4:58Speaker 6: No!
- 5:00Speaker 1: Text your answer to us at 317-663-9797.

- 5:14Speaker 2: coming up later today. 8.50, we'll tell you what time
- 5:16Speaker 2: to win right now, though. It's spooky season, baby.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I couldn't talk over that.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Name that scream this morning for a four pack of
- 5:33Speaker 4: Indie Scream Park tickets.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Your scream this morning was... No! Kelly Clarkson!
- 5:40Speaker 1: 40-year-old virgin.
- 5:41Speaker 4: 40-year-old virgin, the movie we were looking for. Steve Carell,
- 5:44Speaker 4: a classic. Congratulations to our winner this morning. Another chance
- 5:47Speaker 4: for you to win these tomorrow morning around 6.35 again.
- 5:50Speaker 4: We still have Trans-Siberian Orchestra tickets on the way just
- 5:53Speaker 4: after 7. And a little Big Town tickets today just
- 5:55Speaker 4: after 9.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Annie and Cole, 97.1 Hank FM.
- 5:58Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 5:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Huh?
- 5:59Speaker 6: Yeah. Huh?
- 6:00Speaker 4: Yeah. Huh?
- 6:00Speaker 6: Today, we celebrate.
- 6:07Speaker 3: National Taco Day. Oh my gosh.
- 6:11Speaker 1: One of the greatest foods ever.
- 6:15Speaker 4: I'm glad that it's on a Tuesday. I don't think
- 6:17Speaker 4: it used to be on a Tuesday, right? We changed
- 6:19Speaker 4: that within the last few years. We all complained enough, right?
- 6:21Speaker 2: That how is Taco Tuesday not National Taco Day?
- 6:25Speaker 1: It's not one of those that need to rotate. I
- 6:28Speaker 1: guess it does rotate. It just needs to be on
- 6:29Speaker 1: a Tuesday, right?
- 6:30Speaker 3: It just needs to be on a Tuesday.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Is it like the first Tuesday of.
- 6:33Speaker 3: October.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Is that what we landed on? I'm trying to look
- 6:36Speaker 1: at the calendar.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Here are some taco fun facts for you. 2% of
- 6:40Speaker 4: Americans have never eaten a taco. That makes no sense
- 6:43Speaker 4: to me.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Is it because you're not old enough to eat a
- 6:45Speaker 1: taco yet?
- 6:47Speaker 3: That makes more sense to me. Do you prefer tacos
- 6:50Speaker 3: or burritos? Tacos. Yeah, me too. Soft or hard shell?
- 6:54Speaker 2: Ooh, depends on the mood and where I'm eating it.
- 6:58Speaker 3: I agree with you. I'm totally with you.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Let me finish.
- 7:03Speaker 4: I think if you're going to give me a really,
- 7:05Speaker 4: really good taco, then I want a soft shell.
- 7:10Speaker 3: But then you go corn flour? What do you do?
- 7:13Speaker 5: Right.
- 7:13Speaker 4: So if I know it's going to be a good one,
- 7:17Speaker 4: I'll do corn. Yeah.
- 7:19Speaker 1: More authentic.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Here's the thing, though.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Yesterday, I made tacos, not knowing that today was National
- 7:24Speaker 2: Taco Day. My husband, Rob, and I like to play
- 7:28Speaker 2: this game where we're not really healthy, but we take
- 7:29Speaker 2: little baby steps to be a little bit more healthy.
- 7:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:32Speaker 2: And so I bought Carb Smart Taco Shells. I don't
- 7:35Speaker 2: know if you've ever had these before. They're terrible.
- 7:38Speaker 6: I have.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I've had them too often, honestly.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Just don't get them. You know what I mean?
- 7:44Speaker 2: Like, I would rather have not had that taco shell
- 7:46Speaker 2: yesterday than eat that CarbSmart taco. But since it is
- 7:50Speaker 2: National Taco Day, best taco in the Indy area.
- 7:57Speaker 4: That's a good question. I have a lot of thoughts.
- 8:00Speaker 4: My first one is the one closest to my... I
- 8:02Speaker 4: live in a taco hot spot.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You do.
- 8:04Speaker 3: There are a lot of really.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Good tacos right around my house, including my favorite... which
- 8:09Speaker 4: I think is the one right across from our house,
- 8:10Speaker 4: which is Super Tacos.
- 8:11Speaker 6: Be a part of the show. Call or text 317-663-9797.
- 8:15Speaker 6: Annie and Cole, 97.1 Hank FM.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Well, they just dropped the lineup for the Country Music Association.
- 8:28Speaker 2: 20 performer CMA presents I Will Always Love You, a
- 8:34Speaker 2: Celebration of Dolly Parton special. Two hour special airs live
- 8:38Speaker 2: October 21st on ABC. Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, Reba, Carrie Underwood,
- 8:47Speaker 2: Vince Gill, Carly Pierce, Kelsey Ballerini, Brad Paisley, Zach Brown,
- 8:53Speaker 2: Ashley McBride, Lady A, Ricky Skaggs, Darius Rucker, Little Big Town.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I mean, I could keep going on and on and on.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Amy Grant and Kimberly Williams Paisley are going to appear
- 9:04Speaker 2: as non-performing guests sharing stories.
- 9:07Speaker 4: We also have Little Big Town Tickets, who you mentioned,
- 9:10Speaker 4: who went up just after 9 this morning. I also
- 9:12Speaker 4: saw that Jolene just passed a billion streams on Spotify.
- 9:17Speaker 1: It doesn't even... I can't even comprehend what a billion... A.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Billion of anything?
- 9:23Speaker 4: Yes.
- 9:23Speaker 1: A billion streams.
- 9:26Speaker 5: Do you really want to know?
- 9:27Speaker 3: Annie and Cole want to know.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Are you dressing up this year for Halloween? 76% of
- 9:32Speaker 2: Americans say no plans whatsoever to put on the costume
- 9:38Speaker 2: this year.
- 9:39Speaker 3: That feels really high to me.
- 9:41Speaker 1: It does, right?
- 9:42Speaker 2: I think the older that I've gotten, though, unless we
- 9:47Speaker 2: are Halloween camping, where we trick-or-treat while we're camping, Rob
- 9:52Speaker 2: and I will usually dress up with the kids But
- 9:57Speaker 2: if not, I mean, what are you dressing up for?
- 10:01Speaker 2: So we are both invited to our boss's party. It's
- 10:04Speaker 2: on Halloween.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Yes.
- 10:07Speaker 4: It's also it's in Irvington, which I think is an
- 10:10Speaker 4: important distinction because that is like Halloween town, Halloween town
- 10:13Speaker 4: here locally.
- 10:16Speaker 2: I said I can't go to the party unless I'm
- 10:18Speaker 2: in costume. You said you've never worn a costume there.
- 10:22Speaker 4: You're usually out of town, so you're not able to
- 10:24Speaker 4: make it. I've gone a couple other times. I don't
- 10:27Speaker 4: wear a costume. I have a couple thoughts on this.
- 10:31Speaker 4: The first one is my birthday is always around Halloween.
- 10:33Speaker 4: I have a weird relationship with Halloween costumes because people
- 10:37Speaker 4: always wanted to dress up in Halloween costumes and go
- 10:40Speaker 4: out in Halloween costumes on my birthday.
- 10:42Speaker 3: I'm like, I just want to go out for my birthday.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Separate it, please.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Separate them, yeah.
- 10:47Speaker 2: I imagine kids around Christmas feel that way, too.
- 10:49Speaker 3: It's way worse for them, but I will also say
- 10:52Speaker 3: that it sucks for me, too.
- 10:55Speaker 4: The other thing is, now, in my 30s, I think
- 11:00Speaker 4: there is one single person who can get me to
- 11:03Speaker 4: dress up for Halloween, and she can't talk yet.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Oh, you're going to be dressing up. You're going to
- 11:09Speaker 2: have a whole family costume coming up.
- 11:10Speaker 4: When she asks in a couple years or whatever... Absolutely
- 11:14Speaker 4: whatever you want. But for right now, no.
- 11:16Speaker 2: I forgot to ask my sister what Grace is demanding
- 11:19Speaker 2: this year because Grace, my niece, usually picks a family costume.
- 11:24Speaker 2: My nephew, Henry, who's the younger sibling, usually has to
- 11:28Speaker 2: play along with whatever theme Grace goes for. She's picked
- 11:32Speaker 2: some friendly ones and some unfriendly ones for him.
- 11:34Speaker 1: They did the Mario characters one year, which he loved.
- 11:37Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 11:38Speaker 6: Great.
- 11:39Speaker 2: They've also done Disney princesses, which he wasn't that much
- 11:43Speaker 2: a fan of.
- 11:44Speaker 3: So are you going to wear a costume? I will
- 11:47Speaker 3: not be in a costume. Are you going to wear one?
- 11:49Speaker 3: I've got to come up with something.
- 11:50Speaker 2: So that's why I need help. What are you dressing
- 11:52Speaker 2: up for this year? First of all, don't make it expensive.
- 11:56Speaker 2: And don't make it hard. I need a cheap, easy
- 11:58Speaker 2: Halloween costume is what I'm.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Looking for here. Annie and Cole.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Text or give us a call.
- 12:02Speaker 6: 317-663-9797.
- 12:02Speaker 4: Hank FM.
- 12:02Speaker 6: 97.1 Hank FM with Annie and Cole. We've got $ 2, 500
- 12:04Speaker 6: in the new Country Cash Jackpot. Going to tell you
- 12:06Speaker 6: what time to win your money. About an hour from now,
- 12:09Speaker 6: around 8.50. With Annie and Cole.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Right now, imagine what kind of Halloween costume.
- 12:22Speaker 2: You can go for if you have that much extra
- 12:24Speaker 2: money in your pocket. I, however, do not. Looking for
- 12:27Speaker 2: a cheap and easy Halloween costume at 317-663-9797. Good morning.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 12:34Speaker 5: I've always had the ideal of a serial killer for
- 12:38Speaker 5: a Halloween costume. You just take a white t-shirt, take
- 12:41Speaker 5: some different types of cereals. and little cereal boxes and
- 12:46Speaker 5: glue them to them with some fake blood and a
- 12:48Speaker 5: fake knife and be a serial killer.
- 12:51Speaker 1: You know what?
- 12:52Speaker 2: I do have some pretty stale cereal in my pantry
- 12:55Speaker 2: right now that needs to be thrown out.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Could just be reused into a Halloween costume.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:02Speaker 3: I like it.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Are you dressing up this year?
- 13:05Speaker 5: I'm not sure yet. I've got a bunch of different
- 13:07Speaker 5: things this year. My granddaughter's birthday is on Halloween, so
- 13:12Speaker 5: we usually do dress up.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Okay. Do you know what she's going to be this year?
- 13:16Speaker 5: No, I do not. I haven't asked her yet.
- 13:18Speaker 1: I know. I feel like I'm slacking, too.
- 13:20Speaker 2: I've not asked my niece and nephews what they're going
- 13:22Speaker 2: to be this year, but I'm always curious to find out. Yeah.
- 13:25Speaker 2: All right.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Well, thank you for calling in with the idea.
- 13:27Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Looking for those cheap and easy Halloween costumes, because you
- 13:33Speaker 2: know what?
- 13:33Speaker 1: I'm pretty lazy.
- 13:34Speaker 2: This one coming through on the Armory or text sign
- 13:38Speaker 2: at 317-663-9797. I love the wig going as Mrs.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Roper from Three's Company.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Tabitha says, this girl I work with and I will
- 13:47Speaker 2: be dressing up as the 80s. We're getting windbreaker suits
- 13:49Speaker 2: off Amazon. And that's what we're going to do for
- 13:52Speaker 2: a trunk or treat. Yeah. I saw someone going through
- 13:54Speaker 2: the store and they're like, when you realize that your
- 13:56Speaker 2: age is now a Halloween costume and the 90s have
- 14:00Speaker 2: made it into the spirit Halloween stores. Ooh, what are
- 14:05Speaker 2: you dressing up for for Halloween?
- 14:07Speaker 5: I follow.
- 14:08Speaker 2: I like.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I share.
- 14:10Speaker 6: Annie and Cole on Hank FM.
- 14:13Speaker 4: 33% of parents, so one in three, say they would
- 14:17Speaker 4: not be cool with their kids majoring in social media
- 14:21Speaker 4: influencing in college.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Is this like the new, like, I'm going to school for.
- 14:30Speaker 4: arts you know what i mean like i i can
- 14:32Speaker 4: think of like when i was in school video games
- 14:35Speaker 4: people didn't understand how you're majoring in video games what
- 14:38Speaker 4: do you mean but like there's so much money in
- 14:40Speaker 4: video games there is so much money in video.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Games i thought the same thing when you said social
- 14:45Speaker 2: media influencer and then i started thinking well yeah i
- 14:46Speaker 2: mean there's a lot of things you could learn about it.
- 14:50Speaker 4: And what is it it's basically just marketing and advertising
- 14:54Speaker 4: isn't it like Yeah.
- 14:56Speaker 2: You're just marketing and advertising yourself.
- 14:58Speaker 3: On social media. Yeah, I don't see the problem with this.
- 15:02Speaker 4: And similar to the video games, how much money is
- 15:05Speaker 4: in social media right now?
- 15:06Speaker 2: So do you think you would be cool if Baby
- 15:10Speaker 2: Josie tells you that she would love to do this?
- 15:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:13Speaker 3: I wouldn't have a problem with this.
- 15:15Speaker 1: The only concern I have... about is not the, oh
- 15:20Speaker 1: my gosh, you're not, it's not a real job.
- 15:21Speaker 2: And that doesn't concern me. I, I get scared for
- 15:25Speaker 2: these people that are constantly living their lives.
- 15:28Speaker 3: That is on the internet. That's fair.
- 15:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Because we live our lives semi. I mean, we, we
- 15:34Speaker 2: do it cause we have to, for work. That's not
- 15:36Speaker 2: our main goal in life. And I already like I'm
- 15:38Speaker 2: a grown woman in some of the comments get to me.
- 15:41Speaker 2: So I can't imagine what it's like to be young
- 15:43Speaker 2: and on the internet.
