- 0:03Speaker 1: Wake up.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Good next
- 0:07Speaker 1: Kicking off your day in the best way. It's Sonia
- 0:10Speaker 1: and Joakim on the shock circuit. As Sonia is on
- 0:12Speaker 1: her way to Belgium to enjoy the likes of Ellen Walker,
- 0:16Speaker 1: Steve Angelo, I'm here in the studio talking to Alan
- 0:19Speaker 1: Wong and Steve Lim. Maybe, if that's your name, hello,
- 0:22Speaker 1: welcome to the show. It's yours truly, Joakim Gomez, keeping
- 0:25Speaker 1: you company.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Singapore's number one hit music station.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Freshly turned 38 as of yesterday. Again, thank you so
- 0:35Speaker 1: much for all your DMs, whether on my Instagram or
- 0:39Speaker 1: 987's WhatsApp.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I really felt all the love. Again, as I said
- 0:46Speaker 1: in my caption yesterday for my own personal post, I'm
- 0:51Speaker 1: not really that big on birthdays anymore. I mean, don't
- 0:55Speaker 1: get me wrong, waking up to loads of messages from
- 0:59Speaker 1: friends and people who know of my existence, wishing me
- 1:02Speaker 1: a happy birthday. Some even were typing me essays on
- 1:06Speaker 1: how I've made them feel over the course of our friendship.
- 1:09Speaker 1: It it really made me feel all warm and fuzzy
- 1:12Speaker 1: on the inside, but yeah.
- 1:14Speaker 1: I don't know why, but there comes a point in
- 1:15Speaker 1: my life where I'm just saying to my friends and
- 1:17Speaker 1: even my mom yesterday, Mom, enough cake. Just one slice
- 1:22Speaker 1: will do, and I'll share with you more about what
- 1:25Speaker 1: my mom and I did yesterday. Now, the entire world,
- 1:28Speaker 1: maybe even us here in Singapore, especially if you're a
- 1:30Speaker 1: football fan.
- 1:31Speaker 1: You might be feeling this lull. What do we do
- 1:35Speaker 1: now that the World Cup is over? Again, congratulations to Spain.
- 1:39Speaker 1: It was only just last week around this time, we
- 1:43Speaker 1: were all watching England against Argentina for the semi-final.
- 1:47Speaker 1: You know that game, I keep watching the highlights and
- 1:50Speaker 1: I'm just asking myself, where did it all go wrong
- 1:53Speaker 1: for England? For the 1st 60 minutes, they were playing
- 1:56Speaker 1: so well. You had Anthony Gordon scoring for England. You
- 1:59Speaker 1: had Jett Spence with that goal saving tackle, and then
- 2:03Speaker 1: Thomas Tuchel and his substitutions just kind of messed everything
- 2:06Speaker 1: up and Argentina ended up winning 2-1 and giving us
- 2:10Speaker 1: what I would say is the most boring final ever. Look,
- 2:13Speaker 1: if you're a Premier League fan,
- 2:15Speaker 1: We have 30 days before it's officially back in action,
- 2:21Speaker 1: 22nd of August. So the very first game, we got
- 2:24Speaker 1: Arsenal against Coventry on Saturday morning at 3 a.m. and
- 2:29Speaker 1: then Hull against Manchester United. We got games like Brentford
- 2:33Speaker 1: against Spurs, Newcastle against Liverpool, Man City against Bournemouth. But
- 2:38Speaker 1: if you wanna go closer to home, at least here
- 2:41Speaker 1: in Singapore, tomorrow.
- 2:43Speaker 1: At 8 p.m. the AFF championship kicks off. We have
- 2:48Speaker 1: Cambodia against Singapore next Monday at 7:00 p.m. live at
- 2:53Speaker 1: the Jalanbasar Stadium. We have Singapore against Timor-Leste. Friday, 31st
- 2:58Speaker 1: of July at 9:00 p.m. It's Vietnam against Singapore, and
- 3:02Speaker 1: 7th of August. What a mouth-watering clash this is gonna be.
- 3:06Speaker 1: It's Singapore against Indonesia. Yup, this is an age-old rivalry.
- 3:11Speaker 1: And apparently tickets for this game, the one against Indonesia,
- 3:15Speaker 1: 7th of August, sold out already. So please, I think
- 3:18Speaker 1: there are still tickets available for Singapore against Team Mod Leste.
- 3:22Speaker 1: If you can, please do get tickets. Fill out the
- 3:24Speaker 1: Jalan Besar Stadium. Loads of things to discuss and talk
- 3:28Speaker 1: about here on the show, so strap yourselves in. Aside
- 3:30Speaker 1: from you winning a pair of tickets to preview two
- 3:34Speaker 1: of National Day Parade 2026, that's happening on 1st of August.
- 3:39Speaker 1: We also
- 3:40Speaker 1: We have a very nice dining experience, proudly brought to
- 3:42Speaker 1: you by our friends at Racine at SophieTel Singapore City Center.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I mean, we've got loads of updates coming in from
- 3:48Speaker 1: the world of parliament and government here in Singapore. We've
- 3:52Speaker 1: got news about AI, especially over at the Kampong Chai Chi.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Was it, was it Bedok area if I'm not wrong. Anyway,
- 4:00Speaker 1: we got some EP coming your way, and we do
- 4:03Speaker 1: have an update on where Le Seraphim are performing on
- 4:07Speaker 1: November twenty-eighth.
- 4:08Speaker 1: And honestly, I feel Benson Boone is due a concert
- 4:11Speaker 1: here in Singapore, so hopefully, his management and maybe the
- 4:15Speaker 1: record labels here in Singapore are taking action to make
- 4:18Speaker 1: sure they bring him in for one heck of a night.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Perhaps maybe say at the indoor stadium. But that's it,
- 4:25Speaker 1: we've got some concert updates coming your way. So November twenty-eighth,
- 4:29Speaker 1: bit of an interesting day for us here in Singapore
- 4:32Speaker 1: because we do have Baby Monster who are performing at
- 4:34Speaker 1: the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Which kind of left Le Seraphim in the dark in
- 4:40Speaker 1: terms of concert venues. We were all wondering, will it
- 4:43Speaker 1: be Star Vista? Will it be a smaller theater? There
- 4:47Speaker 1: is an announcement. They will be performing at the all-new
- 4:50Speaker 1: Apex at Expo. So congratulations.
- 4:55Speaker 1: To Le Seraphim. I'm not too sure whether they be
- 4:58Speaker 1: the first group to perform over there, but yeah, November 28th,
- 5:02Speaker 1: Apex at Expo, and that venue is capable of seating
- 5:07Speaker 1: up to 9000 people.
- 5:10Speaker 1: That's slightly bigger than the Star Vista. So I cannot
- 5:14Speaker 1: wait to see what happens for the Seraphim. Whichever you're
- 5:16Speaker 1: going for, I hope you enjoy the concert. For November
- 5:19Speaker 1: twenty-eighth will be the all new Apex at Expo and
- 5:23Speaker 1: looking at their Instagram.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I think the Fear Not membership pre-sale registration has started.
- 5:31Speaker 1: It's going on from yesterday all the way till 29th
- 5:36Speaker 1: of July, and then the Fear Not membership pre-sale for
- 5:40Speaker 1: their concert starts on 4th of August. General sales will
- 5:43Speaker 1: start 5th of August. When we come back here on
- 5:46Speaker 1: the shock circuit, we're gonna open the phone line.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Lines at 669-119-87. Yup. You already know, we want you
- 5:53Speaker 1: to give your school a shout out. Whether it's primary, secondary, ITE, poly, JC, Uni.
- 6:00Speaker 1: As long as you're schooling, we wanna hear what you're
- 6:02Speaker 1: up to, any assessments coming up, maybe your final year
- 6:06Speaker 1: project groupmate isn't pulling his or her weight. Complain to us.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Let us know, and your
- 6:11Speaker 1: Takeaway is, number 1, you practice your compositional skills, and
- 6:14Speaker 1: number 2, we play you what could be your favorite
- 6:17Speaker 1: song here. 6:48 on your Thursday, 23rd of July. It's
- 6:21Speaker 1: Joakim Gomez keeping you company. I'll be solo today, tomorrow,
- 6:26Speaker 1: Saturday morning, Monday and Tuesday as well as our darling
- 6:30Speaker 1: Sonny Chou is on her way to Belgium for Tomorrowland. Yeah.
- 6:38Speaker 1: And then, just to let you in on some of
- 6:39Speaker 1: the convos that we have off-air. For the longest time,
- 6:43Speaker 1: Sonia and I, we said to ourselves, both of us
- 6:46Speaker 1: and our close friends, we should all pull in money
- 6:49Speaker 1: and go together for Tomorrowland one day, but I think
- 6:52Speaker 1: she's going there for an official campaign. I cannot wait
- 6:54Speaker 1: to see all the pictures and Insta stories that she
- 6:58Speaker 1: will post once she's safely in Belgium, in the.
- 7:01Speaker 1: The desert land of boom, if I'm not wrong, to
- 7:04Speaker 1: enjoy a two-day, or was it three-day, two-night festival. So, Sonia,
- 7:08Speaker 1: if by some miracle you're tuned in, have a great one.
- 7:12Speaker 1: That said though, phone lines are now open, 669-119-87. If
- 7:17Speaker 1: you're schooling, if you're on your way to school right now, primary, secondary,
- 7:21Speaker 1: any level, give us a call. We'd love to have
- 7:24Speaker 1: a chat with you.
- 7:24Speaker 1: To find out what's fantastic about your school, any teacher
- 7:27Speaker 1: you want to give a shout out to, and the
- 7:30Speaker 1: takeaway for you is this. You get to give your class,
- 7:33Speaker 1: your school, your principal, your discipline master, maybe even your
- 7:37Speaker 1: canteen auntie a shout out and we'll play you your
- 7:40Speaker 1: favorite song right here on the shock circuit. 987, hello,
- 7:44Speaker 1: what's your name? I'm Emma. Hello, Emma and
- 7:48Speaker 1: What school are you headed to this morning? Methodist Girls
- 7:51Speaker 1: School Primary. MGS Primary. That's quite nearby Media Corp. And
- 7:55Speaker 1: what level are you in this year, Emma? I'm in P4.
- 7:57Speaker 1: You're in Primary 4. OK. How has Primary 4 been
- 8:01Speaker 1: for you? Are you having fun? Yeah. And what is
- 8:03Speaker 1: your favorite part about school? Um, I like that I
- 8:06Speaker 1: have friends at school to play tennis, so it's not
- 8:09Speaker 1: so boring like at home.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Friends to play with in school. Yes, you and I both, same, Emma.
- 8:16Speaker 1: And what is the best thing to eat at Methodist Girls'
- 8:20Speaker 1: Primary School? If I were to ever come down to
- 8:22Speaker 1: the school with Sonia, what should I try from your canteen?
- 8:25Speaker 1: I personally like the sushi. The sushi.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Store. OK, thank you very much for your recommendations. Do
- 8:31Speaker 1: you have any exams or any tests coming up? Yeah,
- 8:34Speaker 1: next week, Chinese compo. Your u. All the best to
- 8:39Speaker 1: you and make sure you check all your Chinese characters, OK, Emma,
- 8:42Speaker 1: what song can I get for you here on 987?
- 8:44Speaker 1: Um, can you get me Touched by Cat's Eye, please?
- 8:48Speaker 1: Touched by Cat's Eye. Who's that going out to? Anyone? Um,
- 8:51Speaker 1: my best friend. What's your best friend's name? Uh, Evaine
- 8:54Speaker 1: and Stella. All right, take care. Have a great one. OK. Bye-bye, Emma. Bye. Now,
- 8:58Speaker 1: before we get to the AI slop story that's kind
- 9:02Speaker 1: of taken over the social media.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Media space here in Singapore by storm, might I add.
- 9:06Speaker 1: How about giving you a piece of good news happening
- 9:08Speaker 1: this Sunday. Over at the Istana, they're having their Istana
- 9:13Speaker 1: open house from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. So if
- 9:16Speaker 1: you haven't been before, go and explore what the Istana
- 9:20Speaker 1: is like from the inside. Yay.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know if you can go in
- 9:26Speaker 1: the Istana palace itself, but the lawn and all that
- 9:29Speaker 1: will be open for the public.
- 9:30Speaker 1: And apparently for this year, there'll be an evening outdoor
- 9:36Speaker 1: concert on the Istana lawn for the very first time
- 9:39Speaker 1: featuring the likes of Shahza. Congratulations. There'll also be some
- 9:43Speaker 1: dance performances, sports activities, heritage experiences, and interactive booths for
- 9:49Speaker 1: people of all ages. And if you're a Singapore citizen,
- 9:53Speaker 1: permanent resident, and you're accompanying migrant domestic workers.
- 9:58Speaker 1: will be able to go along with you and the family.
- 10:01Speaker 1: The last entry for the outdoor concert is 6:45 p.m.
- 10:05Speaker 1: so please arrive before then. Again, it's happening from 9:30 a.m.
- 10:10Speaker 1: to 8:00 p.m., but I think the last entry will
- 10:12Speaker 1: be 6:45 p.m. if you're going for the outdoor concert
- 10:15Speaker 1: for the Istana Open House happening this Sunday, July 26th.
- 10:20Speaker 1: And whether you like AI or not, well,
- 10:24Speaker 1: Fortunately or unfortunately, it is here to stay and in
- 10:28Speaker 1: my personal opinion, AI is like a superpower. You can
- 10:32Speaker 1: either use it for good to assist you.
- 10:37Speaker 1: With day to day living or maybe even sometimes your
- 10:40Speaker 1: work or yeah, you know, it becomes a villainous thing
- 10:44Speaker 1: and it might ruin loads of things. Take for example
- 10:49Speaker 1: this banner for National Day. You might have seen over
- 10:53Speaker 1: at the Bedok North Avenue 2 area which I think
- 10:56Speaker 1: maybe falls under the purview of Kampong Chai Chi CC,
- 11:01Speaker 1: that area.
- 11:02Speaker 1: So in this banner, and it obviously looks like AI
- 11:05Speaker 1: generated lah, OK, uh, what was missed was on the
- 11:10Speaker 1: left-hand side of the banner under the SG 61. Some
- 11:14Speaker 1: of the logos and the symbols looked a little bit weird,
- 11:18Speaker 1: and for the Singapore flag on the left-hand bottom corner
- 11:23Speaker 1: of the AI generated banner.
- 11:25Speaker 1: There was no crescent stars. There was no crescent moon
- 11:28Speaker 1: and stars, so it looked like the Indonesian flag on display.
- 11:33Speaker 1: So people on social media rightly called out the banner
- 11:36Speaker 1: and then it was taken down and replaced almost immediately.
- 11:40Speaker 1: And whoever the spokesperson was that spoke to the media.
- 11:45Speaker 1: You know, the thing about the media here in Singapore
- 11:48Speaker 1: or maybe around the world, what they would do is
- 11:50Speaker 1: they would take the juiciest part of your answer and
- 11:53Speaker 1: they will turn it to a headline. So when I
- 11:55Speaker 1: saw one media report it the way it did, I
- 11:58Speaker 1: went to read up on other media's reporting on the
- 12:01Speaker 1: same issue, and from what it seems that the headline,
- 12:05Speaker 1: it's kind of implying or suggesting that the blame on
- 12:10Speaker 1: who created these banners and the blame for the mistake.
- 12:13Speaker 1: It's actually going towards the seniors who created and paid
- 12:18Speaker 1: for these banners. Cannot lah.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Uh, OK, here's my personal take, and I'm very sure,
- 12:25Speaker 1: I'm very sure if Sonia were here, she would agree
- 12:27Speaker 1: with me as well, but she might deliver it in
- 12:30Speaker 1: a more kind manner. But you expect to have the
- 12:34Speaker 1: seniors be active in the mind and body. We, we
- 12:37Speaker 1: talk about active aging and all that, and a mistake
- 12:40Speaker 1: like that, and you feel, and or rather a mistake
- 12:43Speaker 1: like that gets spotted.
- 12:44Speaker 1: And the blame somehow gets tai chi or pushed over
- 12:47Speaker 1: to the seniors who did this. My question is, I,
- 12:50Speaker 1: I've worked with organizations like these before, and I know
- 12:53Speaker 1: the vetting levels to be the highest of standards. They,
- 12:57Speaker 1: they go through multiple rounds of checks before something takes
- 13:01Speaker 1: the stage or something gets displayed. So now my question is,
- 13:05Speaker 1: aside from pushing the blame to the seniors, who was
- 13:08Speaker 1: it that gave it the go-ahead to hang the banners
- 13:10Speaker 1: without checking it thoroughly, you know, that that's the question.
- 13:15Speaker 1: People are asking on social media like, and some of
- 13:17Speaker 1: the comments are saying, why blame the seniors? Who, who
- 13:20Speaker 1: was the approving team before a banner like this gets
- 13:23Speaker 1: hung at the Bedok North Avenue 2 area here in Singapore.
- 13:27Speaker 1: So yeah, AI, yeah, I, I wonder what the prompts
- 13:31Speaker 1: were to create the banners and honestly, I don't really
- 13:35Speaker 1: blame the seniors who were doing this. Maybe they did
- 13:37Speaker 1: it out of goodwill and they had very good intentions,
- 13:40Speaker 1: but sometimes
- 13:41Speaker 1: Little little details like this might get missed in the
- 13:45Speaker 1: bigger picture. That's why we need a good vetting and
- 13:47Speaker 1: approving team before something like that gets hung. If not,
- 13:50Speaker 1: it becomes a social media spectacle. There you go. So,
- 13:53Speaker 1: let this be a reminder for all of us to
- 13:55Speaker 1: check whatever it is we're doing, especially
- 13:58Speaker 1: If it involves the use of AI, better spell check
- 14:02Speaker 1: and make sure you check your graphics, people. And OK,
- 14:05Speaker 1: on that topic of Odyssey, if you've seen it already,
- 14:08Speaker 1: congratulations to you. No spoilers please, and thankfully, TikTok.
- 14:13Speaker 1: For some strange reason, they've been quite well behaved for Odyssey.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I've not seen anyone videoing anything and posting it up
- 14:20Speaker 1: on social media as of yet or maybe my FYP
- 14:23Speaker 1: is not yet infected with all the spoilers that people
- 14:26Speaker 1: are used to doing. For the Michael movie, while I
- 14:29Speaker 1: was watching it in Shawlido.
- 14:32Speaker 1: The ladies in front of me were filming the screen la.
- 14:35Speaker 1: I was half expecting security to come in and stop
- 14:37Speaker 1: the screening for a while, but no, I, I, I
- 14:39Speaker 1: guess they didn't want to ruin the experience for everyone else.
- 14:42Speaker 1: But anyway, again, in case you missed it earlier, apparently,
- 14:46Speaker 1: according to various news sources, Odyssey cost Chris Nolan's entire
- 14:51Speaker 1: team $250 million to make, all right?
- 14:58Speaker 1: Global opening weekend itself, that was last Saturday and Sunday,
- 15:03Speaker 1: apparently it already raked in $264.1 million. We're talking $124.5
- 15:12Speaker 1: million from the US and Canada, then $139.6 million internationally.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Well done.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I guess, you know, people will go to the cinemas
- 15:24Speaker 1: if there is a good movie to watch. Yeah. If
- 15:27Speaker 1: you tell me names like Quentin Tarantino, Antoine Fuqua, or
- 15:32Speaker 1: maybe even a name like Chris Nolan, yeah, people will
- 15:35Speaker 1: naturally want to go because the reputation is there to
- 15:37Speaker 1: go watch a great film. And apparently now, it's somewhere
- 15:41Speaker 1: around the $341 million range and it is still rising.
- 15:46Speaker 1: If you're wondering for Singapore how much we contributed, apparently,
- 15:50Speaker 1: 1.075 million for opening weekend here in Singapore alone for
- 15:56Speaker 1: the entire profit so far and entire money's earnings for
- 16:01Speaker 1: the Odyssey. So, there you go. I cannot wait to
- 16:04Speaker 1: watch it. I'm just waiting for the cinemas to have
- 16:06Speaker 1: good seats because I was checking for this weekend and
- 16:09Speaker 1: sometime early next week as well.
- 16:11Speaker 1: The IMAX, the good seats are all taken, so I
- 16:14Speaker 1: gotta wait for a while. And by the way, for IMAX, right,
- 16:18Speaker 1: if you're the kind of person that enjoys sitting at
- 16:21Speaker 1: the back row, middle, don't do that for the odyssey.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Go towards the middle section of the IMAX cinemas so
- 16:28Speaker 1: you can experience the 360 sound all around you and
- 16:32Speaker 1: enjoy the movie in all its glory as it's meant
- 16:35Speaker 1: to be because it was shot in IMAX. It is
- 16:38Speaker 1: yours truly, Joakim Gomez, keeping you company.
- 16:40Speaker 1: The last time we spoke, I was 37, now I'm 38.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Yes, life is just flying by, and if you're tuned in, look, the,
- 16:50Speaker 1: the only place I feel comfortable to share more about
- 16:54Speaker 1: myself is actually here on this 987 platform because if
- 16:58Speaker 1: you're tuned in, hopefully it's because you want to hear
- 17:01Speaker 1: the banter between Sonia and I or what we have
- 17:04Speaker 1: to update you on. Hopefully you do support us and
- 17:06Speaker 1: you truly enjoy the show, to which I want to
- 17:09Speaker 1: say thank you. Let me clap for you on this
- 17:11Speaker 1: Thursday morning. Thank you.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Yeah, so, wow, I, I, I realized it's been 20
- 17:17Speaker 1: years of my journey here in this industry we call
- 17:21Speaker 1: show since an 18 year old signing up for Singapore Idol. Yeah,
- 17:25Speaker 1: that's a small nugget for you this Thursday morning.
- 17:28Speaker 1: But yesterday was my birthday. Again, thank you so much
- 17:31Speaker 1: for all the lovely WhatsApp messages and the DMs that
- 17:34Speaker 1: I received on Instagram and for Sonia's video that she
- 17:38Speaker 1: collabed posted with 987. If you haven't seen it yet,
- 17:41Speaker 1: she kind of chronicled our entire journey from 2014 ever
- 17:46Speaker 1: since working together here on 987. But yesterday night was
- 17:50Speaker 1: a more, how would I say this? I would say
- 17:54Speaker 1: it's tradition for my mom and I.
- 17:57Speaker 1: And we've been doing this since I was maybe 8
- 18:00Speaker 1: or 9 years old, maybe 8 years old, 1996, I remember.
- 18:05Speaker 1: She brought me to Jack's place over at the Ang
- 18:09Speaker 1: Mo Kio area, the one next to courts. It's, it's
- 18:11Speaker 1: been there for very long. I don't have the exact number,
- 18:16Speaker 1: but
- 18:17Speaker 1: With all the news about places that's been surviving in
- 18:21Speaker 1: Singapore for almost 50 or some even 60 or 70
- 18:24Speaker 1: years and they're closing down, I, I, I'm very happy
- 18:28Speaker 1: that Jack's place over at Ang Mo Kio is still there.
- 18:31Speaker 1: And whenever I share with my friends when they ask me, oh,
- 18:34Speaker 1: what do you usually do for your birthday, I say, oh,
- 18:36Speaker 1: on the actual day I must spend it with my mom.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Dinner has to be at Jack's Place, Ang Mo Kio,
- 18:42Speaker 1: and they give me the Jack's place. Why Jack's place?
- 18:45Speaker 1: I'm like, hello. If, if you've been doing something for tradition,
- 18:49Speaker 1: open inverted commas, for the last 30+ years of your life,
- 18:53Speaker 1: you don't want to break anything and
- 18:55Speaker 1: You know, I, I truly enjoy doing this to my mom,
- 18:57Speaker 1: and my usual order is the fire stick, where they
- 19:00Speaker 1: pour the brandy and it and it, uh, shows you
- 19:04Speaker 1: fire for a little while. I call it the attention
- 19:06Speaker 1: seeking stick because the moment they pour the brandy and
- 19:08Speaker 1: the fire happens, everybody looks for a while, there'll be
- 19:11Speaker 1: 5 seconds of silence, and then they go back to
- 19:13Speaker 1: their meal. But of course as a kid, I'll have
- 19:15Speaker 1: like the usual black pepper steak and all that.
- 19:17Speaker 1: So yeah, it's been something my mom and I have
- 19:20Speaker 1: been doing for 30+ years and I really hope that
- 19:23Speaker 1: outlet over at the Ang Mo Kio area next to
- 19:25Speaker 1: the Ang Mo Kio courts, I hope it stays and
- 19:28Speaker 1: doesn't go anywhere. Please, don't, don't take it away from us.
- 19:32Speaker 1: We have few places like this here in Singapore now
- 19:35Speaker 1: that has stood the test of time. So, I wanna
- 19:38Speaker 1: open the phone lines.
- 19:40Speaker 1: 669-119-87 or maybe even you can WhatsApp us at 90050987.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Want to touch on that nostalgic feel for a while
- 19:50Speaker 1: and if you do like your answer, what's coming your way,
- 19:52Speaker 1: it's a nice dining experience for two worth over $300
- 19:57Speaker 1: to this wonderful buffet brought to you by our friends
- 20:00Speaker 1: over at Racine at Sofitel Singapore City Center. I'll give
- 20:03Speaker 1: you more details on the sort of markup.
- 20:06Speaker 1: You can expect from Racine in just a bit, but
- 20:08Speaker 1: today's question, is there a place that holds special meaning
- 20:11Speaker 1: to you, that you always go with family or your
- 20:15Speaker 1: wife or your friends, anything, or husband, partner? Let us
- 20:20Speaker 1: know again, 669-119-87 or you can WhatsApp us at 90050987. Again,
- 20:27Speaker 1: for me, it's the Jack's Place over at Ang Mo Kio. So,
- 20:30Speaker 1: let us know where
- 20:31Speaker 1: Some of your places that you must go and you
- 20:34Speaker 1: hope that it stands the test of time. It's with
- 20:36Speaker 1: Come Over right here on 987, your number one hit
- 20:39Speaker 1: music station, BTS, of course, spotted performing for the World
- 20:42Speaker 1: Cup halftime show. And if you've seen the videos already,
- 20:45Speaker 1: they actually had a backstage interaction with Speed, and Speed
- 20:48Speaker 1: got a group picture with all members of BTS. Wow! Speed,
- 20:53Speaker 1: you should frame that, man. But anyway, on the topic
- 20:56Speaker 1: of places that
- 20:57Speaker 1: Has a special meaning for you. Tradition traditional places. It
- 21:02Speaker 1: could be something that holds loads of memories and you
- 21:05Speaker 1: must go there to celebrate a big occasion with your
- 21:09Speaker 1: family or your partner or friends because that place is
- 21:12Speaker 1: the go to place for you. For my mom and I,
- 21:15Speaker 1: it's Jack's place over at Ang Mo Kio. Wanna go
- 21:17Speaker 1: to WhatsApp and say good morning to a few people. Firstly,
- 21:20Speaker 1: I wanna say
- 21:21Speaker 1: Good morning to my good texter friend, John. Yes, hello, John.
- 21:28Speaker 1: I think it took me a while to load the screen. John,
- 21:31Speaker 1: you say this, from time to time, especially when I'm
- 21:34Speaker 1: down and need a pick me up, I'll visit a
- 21:36Speaker 1: porridge stall in the Chinatown area. It's just an average
- 21:39Speaker 1: porridge stall, but it has nostalgic and emotional feeling tied
- 21:42Speaker 1: to it that just makes it special in my heart.
- 21:45Speaker 1: My parents used to bring me
- 21:46Speaker 1: There when I was a kid, so it's warm and
- 21:47Speaker 1: fuzzy each time. I'm there having the porridge, and I
- 21:50Speaker 1: hope it stays. Thank you so much and I hope
- 21:52Speaker 1: it stays for you as well. On the line over
- 21:54Speaker 1: at 669-119-87. Zai, what's your story, my friend? Yes, I
- 22:00Speaker 1: do have. Unfortunately, it's closed down for many years now.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Oh no, uh, and I am actually talking about the
- 22:06Speaker 1: Glass House Fish and Co in D. Glass House Fish and.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Uh, is it the one that used to be the
- 22:14Speaker 1: LOVE outside the restaurant down there? Yes, yes, yes, yes,
- 22:17Speaker 1: we used to celebrate our birthdays a lot there and
- 22:20Speaker 1: it's a really good vibe there. Uh, it's the nicest
- 22:23Speaker 1: and if you ask me. If I'm not wrong, before
- 22:26Speaker 1: Fish and that place was TGI Fridays.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Yeah, that was, I think, way longer ago. Yeah, that
- 22:33Speaker 1: was like the early to late 90s. So how do
- 22:37Speaker 1: you discover that and what about that special meaning to
- 22:40Speaker 1: you aside from the food?
- 22:43Speaker 1: Oh, like, uh, we, we, we used to celebrate birthdays
- 22:46Speaker 1: there a lot, um, uh, you know, uh, it's just
- 22:49Speaker 1: a good vibe there. Uh, there's bands playing on, on
- 22:52Speaker 1: some of the nights, uh, and, you know, um, I
- 22:55Speaker 1: just miss that place so much, uh, and we don't
- 22:57Speaker 1: have these kind of places. I know. So is there
- 23:00Speaker 1: a go to place for you to celebrate birthdays or
- 23:04Speaker 1: nice dinners? Yeah, you know, sometimes it's hard to find
- 23:08Speaker 1: these kind of places, so we just like, you know,
- 23:09Speaker 1: try to make do with whatever we can find.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Nowadays. Thank you so much for your call, Zai. You
- 23:15Speaker 1: take care, brother. Bye-bye. Thank you so much. Bye-bye. On
- 23:17Speaker 1: the topic of that place, that go to place for tradition,
- 23:22Speaker 1: I dare say with family, friends, your partner in life
- 23:27Speaker 1: for Makan to celebrate something or just maybe, maybe.
- 23:31Speaker 1: An everyday thing that you might do. Wanna say good
- 23:34Speaker 1: morning on WhatsApp to Randy. Randy says, good morning, Joakim.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Before I started dating and got married, I used to
- 23:41Speaker 1: celebrate my birthdays at Jack's place too, at Bukit Panjang
- 23:45Speaker 1: Plaza when the outlet was still around. I got to
- 23:48Speaker 1: know many of the staff there over the years and
- 23:50Speaker 1: would always order my favorite dish, the Jack's Special tenderloin steak. Recently,
- 23:55Speaker 1: I went to the Toa Payoh outlet for a meal
- 23:57Speaker 1: and was pleasantly surprised to see a familiar.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Face. Special shout out to Krishna, the restaurant manager, for
- 24:03Speaker 1: remembering me even though it has been more than 10 years.
- 24:06Speaker 1: It's always heartwarming to be welcomed by someone who remembers
- 24:09Speaker 1: you after so many years. This feels as if the
- 24:12Speaker 1: entire segment is brought to you by Jack's Place, but
- 24:14Speaker 1: I assure you it is not. I just started the
- 24:17Speaker 1: ball rolling and I got loads of people sharing about
- 24:20Speaker 1: their experiences at Jack's Place as well. I wanna say
- 24:23Speaker 1: good morning to Jolene who says Happy belated birthday, Joakim.
- 24:27Speaker 1: And I used to enjoy my steaks at Jack's place
- 24:30Speaker 1: with my family too. It's really nostalgic. Going to the
- 24:33Speaker 1: phone lines over at 669-119-87. Michelle, what about you? I,
- 24:39Speaker 1: my nostalgic place is Holland Village Market because Holland is
- 24:43Speaker 1: where I grew up and they have the best Western
- 24:45Speaker 1: food at a really cheap price. So in this economy,
- 24:48Speaker 1: how does $6 plus for a big and hearty plate
- 24:51Speaker 1: of grilled pork chop with creamy spaghetti sound? It's also
- 24:55Speaker 1: my mom's favorite Western food that she
- 24:57Speaker 1: She used to tuck out two packets of that for
- 24:59Speaker 1: us and she'll especially wait for me to return from
- 25:01Speaker 1: school just to enjoy it together while I share about
- 25:04Speaker 1: my day in school. Aiyo, that's so nice. And how
- 25:07Speaker 1: often does she do that for you? It's almost every day.
- 25:11Speaker 1: So when I was really young, that that's almost like
- 25:15Speaker 1: 5 days a week. Wow. Yeah, yeah, you're almost a
- 25:18Speaker 1: creature of habit just like me can eat the same
- 25:20Speaker 1: thing and be happy with it. Thank you so much
- 25:22Speaker 1: for sharing your story, Michelle. I hope that store is
- 25:24Speaker 1: still open. It's not closed down whatsoever yet, right?
- 25:28Speaker 1: It's still open, so I hope you'll go and try
- 25:30Speaker 1: it too. It's really good. Well, Holland is just down
- 25:32Speaker 1: the road, so I might go and try it soon then.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Thank you so much. You take care. Bye-bye. If you're
- 25:36Speaker 1: wondering where our darling Sonia Chew is, she's on a
- 25:38Speaker 1: plane on her way to Belgium for Tomorrowland, so she's
- 25:43Speaker 1: enjoying weekend to Friday.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Saturday and Sunday. She'll be back with us on Wednesday
- 25:48Speaker 1: morning and rest assured, she'll be posting loads of pictures
- 25:52Speaker 1: and Insta stories on her personal account. Maybe she might
- 25:55Speaker 1: posted something on 987 as well. I was really hoping
- 25:58Speaker 1: to go with her. OK, that was the plan, but
- 26:01Speaker 1: never mind, next time.
- 26:02Speaker 1: On the topic of tradition and places that hold special
- 26:07Speaker 1: meaning to you, maybe say for a celebration of a birthday,
- 26:11Speaker 1: could be an anniversary or just, you know, with friends,
- 26:13Speaker 1: family members. Wanna go to WhatsApp and say good morning
- 26:17Speaker 1: to a few people. Firstly, I wanna say hello to Malcolm.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Malcolm says, hey, Joakim, I always celebrate my birthday the
- 26:24Speaker 1: Saturday before NDP and pretend the fireworks are for me.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Yes, Malcolm, you and loads of people and couples getting
- 26:33Speaker 1: their wedding shots in as well. I used to do
- 26:36Speaker 1: this at Wooullumu Steakhouse. Oh yes, OK. For Woolumu Steakhouse,
- 26:40Speaker 1: if the NDP is happening over at the Padang and
- 26:43Speaker 1: you have a good seat, you'll be able to see
- 26:45Speaker 1: the fireworks or maybe in the future NS Square as well,
- 26:49Speaker 1: but I found a place with a better view. I'm
- 26:51Speaker 1: gonna gatekeep that one, as you should, Malcolm, as you should.
- 26:55Speaker 1: I mean,
- 26:56Speaker 1: Because the moment I say it here on national radio,
- 26:58Speaker 1: everybody will try. By the way, in case you didn't know,
- 27:02Speaker 1: this year's fireworks, Kallang Riverside Park, it's a better view.
- 27:06Speaker 1: You might not see anything at the marina area unless
- 27:09Speaker 1: you are facing towards the National Stadium side.
- 27:12Speaker 1: Wanna say good morning to you on WhatsApp as well.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Your name is Chris. Hello, Chris. You say morning. Happy
- 27:20Speaker 1: belated birthday, Joakim. Thank you very much, Chris. The go
- 27:23Speaker 1: to place for me is a 24 hour coffee shop,
- 27:26Speaker 1: 888 along Pasir Panjang. My dad will bring my mom
- 27:31Speaker 1: and I.
- 27:31Speaker 1: There every time he got his pay, we would have
- 27:34Speaker 1: barbecue seafood over there. Sometimes it was like around 2
- 27:37Speaker 1: or 3 a.m. when he comes home. My mother would
- 27:39Speaker 1: wake me up and say, let's go eat. I had
- 27:42Speaker 1: birthday celebrations there a few times as well. Sadly, it
- 27:45Speaker 1: is no longer there. It is opposite Hopa Villa. This
- 27:49Speaker 1: is today.
- 27:51Speaker 1: I, oh, it's Ortho. It's now become Ortho, but you
- 27:54Speaker 1: know what? Thank you very much for sharing that story, Chris. Well,
- 27:57Speaker 1: we do have time for maybe one or two more
- 27:59Speaker 1: texts or calls. Let us know. Again, if you do
- 28:01Speaker 1: like your answer, what's coming your way? A dining experience
- 28:04Speaker 1: for two to Racine's over at Sofitel Singapore City Center.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Just 2 more texts to read to you about places
- 28:11Speaker 1: that hold special meaning to you. Could be a place
- 28:14Speaker 1: to go eat, celebrate something with your friends, family, or partner.
- 28:19Speaker 1: And all this inspired by my mom and I carrying
- 28:21Speaker 1: on a 30+ year long tradition that whenever it's my birthday,
- 28:26Speaker 1: we go to the Jack's place over at Ang Mo
- 28:28Speaker 1: Kio for our special meal, and I just love ordering
- 28:32Speaker 1: my fire steak. My mom will have a black pepper
- 28:34Speaker 1: steak and we'll order one more steak for us to share,
- 28:37Speaker 1: 3 steaks in total for 2 people. Wanna say hello
- 28:40Speaker 1: to username Keep life Simple on WhatsApp.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Yes, Ponderosa, all you can eat salad bar. Wow, that's
- 28:48Speaker 1: a name I've not heard in a very long time.
- 28:52Speaker 1: I love their beetroot, bacon bits and croutons, my usual
- 28:56Speaker 1: dating spot with my ex during the 80s and 90s.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Thank you so much for sharing. Yeah, my, my aunts
- 29:03Speaker 1: actually know of this place. Thank you so much for
- 29:04Speaker 1: sharing and bringing back some memories as well. One coming
- 29:07Speaker 1: in from Ridwan. Ridwan, you say, morning Jokim, late night
- 29:11Speaker 1: cinema is standard, but the best place I go to,
- 29:14Speaker 1: or for me and the wifey, it is the 24.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Our Swensen's at Orchard for late-night dessert. We never had
- 29:22Speaker 1: late-night dessert anymore since they closed down. Well, thank you
- 29:26Speaker 1: so much for really bringing back that memory of yours, Ridoan.
- 29:29Speaker 1: I appreciate it. Today's winner of the dining experience, all
- 29:32Speaker 1: thanks to our friends over at Racine at Sofitel Singapore
- 29:36Speaker 1: City Center. We're talking about their champerak creme brulee, onde
- 29:40Speaker 1: onde cake, roasted.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Suckling pig, nonya Assam Fish, Singapore chili prawns. It's Straits
- 29:47Speaker 1: heritage cuisine, and for the buffet, it's available every Saturday,
- 29:51Speaker 1: 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. It's $128 plus plus for adults
- 29:56Speaker 1: and $64 per child. You can follow them over at
- 30:00Speaker 1: SophieTel Singapore City Center on Instagram for more details. I
- 30:04Speaker 1: want to give it to Michelle who called us earlier. Michelle.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Sharing about how your mom would always buy you this
- 30:12Speaker 1: very nice noodles and pork cutlet from Holland Village which
- 30:16Speaker 1: costs just $6. You know what? Take a break from
- 30:18Speaker 1: that for a while, even though it has special meaning.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Bring your mom over to Sofitel Singapore City Center and
- 30:23Speaker 1: enjoy this very nice buffet over at Racine's. Enjoy it.
- 30:27Speaker 1: I would call myself an adult, or rather, I'm still
- 30:29Speaker 1: a kid with adult money.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Able to buy my own things that I want to
- 30:35Speaker 1: collect or play with, for example, Lego, vinyls, whatever tech setup,
- 30:41Speaker 1: whatever's new in the world of tech, and not forgetting,
- 30:43Speaker 1: PlayStation games and all that, I can go online and
- 30:46Speaker 1: just buy and enjoy it as my disconnect and me time.
- 30:50Speaker 1: But currently, and this might bore you if you're not
- 30:53Speaker 1: a gaming fan, but bear with me for a bit. Currently,
- 30:56Speaker 1: what's been occupying my
- 30:57Speaker 1: Time it's Assassin's Creed, Black Flag resynct. We actually interviewed
- 31:01Speaker 1: the people responsible for it. It's Ubisoft Singapore, by the way.
- 31:05Speaker 1: We have, uh, Paul in the studio to talk about
- 31:08Speaker 1: us and to talk about it, and we do have
- 31:11Speaker 1: a very special Assassin's Creed collector's edition for you up
- 31:16Speaker 1: for giveaway on 987's Instagram. And if you're familiar with
- 31:20Speaker 1: Assassin's Creed,
- 31:22Speaker 1: How you unlock more of the map and even where
- 31:25Speaker 1: some of the the treasure chests might be, is you
- 31:29Speaker 1: gonna go to the highest point of any area. If
- 31:32Speaker 1: there's the eagle sign, you synchronize the whole the whole thing.
- 31:36Speaker 1: And then you do a leap of faith into a
- 31:38Speaker 1: haystack or leaves to protect your fall. So the question is,
- 31:43Speaker 1: when was the last time you took a leap of faith,
- 31:46Speaker 1: inverted commas. That's the question we posed for you on
- 31:49Speaker 1: 987's Instagram. Look out for the post with Sonia and
- 31:52Speaker 1: I holding on to the collector's edition box. And disclaimer,
- 31:56Speaker 1: that's my personal box. The, the one that
- 31:58Speaker 1: You're Gonna win. It's still sealed. It's still taped up.
- 32:01Speaker 1: It's not been opened, so hopefully you do it. You
- 32:03Speaker 1: have until the 28th of July to get as many
- 32:08Speaker 1: comments in. Make sure you give our social team a headache.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Make your answers so good that they find it difficult
- 32:14Speaker 1: to pick a good winner because when we come back
- 32:16Speaker 1: in less than maybe say 7 minutes here on the
- 32:19Speaker 1: shock circuit.
- 32:21Speaker 1: How about winning for yourself a pair of National Day
- 32:24Speaker 1: Parade preview two tickets. You are watching it on August 1st. Now,
- 32:30Speaker 1: I know the feeling is I wanna be there on
- 32:33Speaker 1: the actual day. I, I, I wanna win those tickets, yes,
- 32:37Speaker 1: and let me give you a small teaser. It'll be
- 32:39Speaker 1: happening on 987 on air and on social media very soon.
- 32:44Speaker 1: But for preview too, here's why I feel it's also
- 32:48Speaker 1: worth a watch, OK?
- 32:50Speaker 1: And from my years of experience hosting an NDP and
- 32:53Speaker 1: being part of the rehearsals for every show, I, I,
- 32:56Speaker 1: I've seen the show go from combined rehearsal one to
- 33:01Speaker 1: the NE shows preview one and preview two. Preview two
- 33:05Speaker 1: is at the peak of the mountain. It's almost like
- 33:08Speaker 1: the director's cut of NDP before any minor changes are
- 33:13Speaker 1: made for the actual day. Yeah, Prime Minister.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Lawrence Wong won't be there. It's a simulation. I think
- 33:19Speaker 1: his stand-in will be there as well. You will still
- 33:21Speaker 1: see the, the role plays of the MPs and all
- 33:23Speaker 1: the mayors and ministers holding the placard saying MP or
- 33:27Speaker 1: Minister of State and all that. It's quite cute, lah, OK.
- 33:30Speaker 1: But of course, there is a reviewing officer, and usually
- 33:33Speaker 1: for preview too, it could be the Speaker of parliament.
- 33:36Speaker 1: So I think in this case, Mr. Xia Kim Ping,
- 33:38Speaker 1: and you get to watch the whole show and what
- 33:42Speaker 1: could be fun for you is on the actual day,
- 33:45Speaker 1: if you're watching it at home.
- 33:46Speaker 1: You can try and guess, A, they took out this
- 33:48Speaker 1: small part, A, they included something new in this part. So,
- 33:51Speaker 1: that's the joy of watching something before it's publicly made
- 33:54Speaker 1: available for all of us here in Singapore to enjoy. So,
- 33:58Speaker 1: a pair of preview two tickets coming your way in
- 34:01Speaker 1: just a bit here on calling the National Stadium home
- 34:03Speaker 1: for the last few weeks has been very surreal, but
- 34:06Speaker 1: I want you there for preview two. We have a
- 34:10Speaker 1: pair of tickets for the show happening.
- 34:12Speaker 1: 1st of August, just 8 days away from the 9th
- 34:15Speaker 1: of August itself, and again, I affectionately call it the
- 34:18Speaker 1: director's cut of NDP. You get to watch everything and
- 34:21Speaker 1: should there be any minor changes on the actual day,
- 34:25Speaker 1: see if you notice it when you watch it on television. So,
- 34:28Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do right now, we've made it super
- 34:31Speaker 1: easy for you the last 3 to 4 days here
- 34:33Speaker 1: on the shock circuit. Today, I want to prepare you.
- 34:37Speaker 1: OK, I wanna prepare you. I wanna give you a
- 34:40Speaker 1: taste of things to come next week here on the
- 34:42Speaker 1: Shock circuit. Today, when you call us at 669-119-87, I'm
- 34:47Speaker 1: gonna put you through a quiz. Very simple quiz, 3 questions.
- 34:53Speaker 1: You get all three right, those tickets coming your way,
- 34:56Speaker 1: and I promise you.
- 34:57Speaker 1: It's very easy. It's option A or option B. I
- 35:01Speaker 1: will do my best to help you to the best
- 35:03Speaker 1: of my ability and as I'm legally allowed to do
- 35:06Speaker 1: so here on 987. On the line, I have Eileen,
- 35:09Speaker 1: who's gonna play for NDP preview two tickets. Eileen, are
- 35:13Speaker 1: you ready for a quiz? I promise you, I'll make
- 35:15Speaker 1: it super easy, OK?
- 35:17Speaker 1: OK, great. Thank you. All right, here we go. Eileen,
- 35:21Speaker 1: your very first question, which primary level must you be
- 35:27Speaker 1: to attend an NE show? Is it A OK. Is
- 35:31Speaker 1: it A primary 5 or B, primary 3? A. Primary
- 35:36Speaker 1: 5 is correct. Well done. Your next question.
- 35:40Speaker 1: When was the last time an NDP was held at
- 35:43Speaker 1: the new national stadium? Is it A 2016 or is
- 35:48Speaker 1: it B, 2019?
- 35:51Speaker 1: B. You want to change your answer? A. OK, well done. Correct.
- 35:58Speaker 1: The third question I cannot help you, yeah. What is
- 36:02Speaker 1: this year's National Day parade theme? The slogan? Is it A,
- 36:07Speaker 1: Together Singapore, or is it B, go beyond?
- 36:12Speaker 1: A
- 36:14Speaker 1: B 3333.
- 36:18Speaker 1: B is absolutely correct. Well done, Eileen. You're gonna go
- 36:22Speaker 1: watch NDP.
- 36:26Speaker 1: And as promised before we close the show, a huge
- 36:29Speaker 1: thank you is in order for two SBS Transit staff
- 36:34Speaker 1: members because imagine this, if you go overseas, you're more
- 36:38Speaker 1: or less a tourist, you take public transport, but you
- 36:41Speaker 1: accidentally leave your bag, and not just any bag, a
- 36:44Speaker 1: bag containing your passport, $2000 cash.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Cash and $30,000 worth of gold jewelry for your upcoming
- 36:54Speaker 1: daughter's wedding. Yeah, there you go. So that was, that
- 36:58Speaker 1: was what happened to a tourist here in Singapore by
- 36:59Speaker 1: the name of Mrs. Kay. She alighted at a bus
- 37:02Speaker 1: stop and realized her bag was still on bus service 853.
- 37:06Speaker 1: She went to Ang Mo Kio Interchange. She was crying,
- 37:09Speaker 1: as I would too, you know, I mean.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Much money and your passport and all that, and it's
- 37:13Speaker 1: money that's going for your daughter's wedding. She was crying,
- 37:16Speaker 1: hoping they could help. So, even though service 853 was
- 37:20Speaker 1: not operated by SBS Transit, what happened was they called
- 37:25Speaker 1: Tower Transit Singapore to trace the bag, and within 20 minutes,
- 37:30Speaker 1: they got a call back saying, yep, we have the bag,
- 37:33Speaker 1: and it was
- 37:34Speaker 1: Return to the tourist who is very grateful to these
- 37:37Speaker 1: two SBS staff members. So, I wanna make sure I
- 37:40Speaker 1: get their names right. We have the senior assistant interchange supervisor,
- 37:47Speaker 1: Nita Nathan Palnay, known as Nat Nathan or Nathan, and
- 37:51Speaker 1: we also have senior interchange supervisor Alex Tan. Thank you
- 37:55Speaker 1: very much. Thank you.
- 37:59Speaker 1: For restoring our faith in humanity and especially here in
- 38:04Speaker 1: Singapore as well, we could definitely use more stories like that.
- 38:08Speaker 1: With that said, I'm gonna close the show and hand
- 38:09Speaker 1: you over to Anne Nicole for a lunch date, more
- 38:12Speaker 1: prizes on her show. But don't forget, for tomorrow, your Friday,
- 38:16Speaker 1: your final chance to win.
- 38:18Speaker 1: yourself a nice dining experience worth over $300 for two,
- 38:22Speaker 1: to Racine over at Sofitel Singapore City Center. If I'm
- 38:26Speaker 1: not wrong, I think that's the one over at Tanjong Pagar,
- 38:28Speaker 1: and your final chance to win preview two tickets to
- 38:33Speaker 1: NDP happening 1st of August.
