- 0:39Speaker 1: One, two, one, two, three, four.
- 0:49Speaker 5: On the road again.
- 0:52Speaker 1: One of the iconic songs written for the movie Honeysuckle
- 0:56Speaker 1: Rose a long time ago.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Don't yell Willie.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Scott Clendiden is here. Why not?
- 1:05Speaker 3: Because they were yelling Willie.
- 1:08Speaker 1: At the concert.
- 1:09Speaker 3: At the concert, yeah. And they were messing up the shots.
- 1:12Speaker 1: They had to film it in different locations around town. And, yeah.
- 1:19Speaker 5: But during the concert, you know, people would scream out
- 1:23Speaker 5: for Willie.
- 1:24Speaker 1: And screw things up.
- 1:25Speaker 5: And screw things up. And I don't know if you
- 1:26Speaker 5: know this, videotapes expense. Oh, wait, that was on film.
- 1:30Speaker 1: That was film.
- 1:31Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a long time ago. Let's talk a
- 1:35Speaker 1: little bit about the battle between the SEC and LSU.
- 1:40Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:43Speaker 1: That battle, at least for now... is over.
- 1:49Speaker 5: The football battle is over.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:53Speaker 5: We haven't seen what.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I'm not going to go into all that. Will Wade
- 1:57Speaker 1: won't have a team. I understand that. Well, he will
- 2:00Speaker 1: have a team, but I don't know where they're coming from.
- 2:04Speaker 1: But I'm not going into any of that. We're just
- 2:05Speaker 1: going to stay with football right now.
- 2:07Speaker 5: Shaq is looking for guys... It's going to be like
- 2:11Speaker 5: in Blue Chips when Nick Nolte got Shaquille out of
- 2:14Speaker 5: nowhere to show up because... Or.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Like in the Simpsons when they got that all-star team,
- 2:22Speaker 1: Burns did, to play softball.
- 2:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Put Homer on the bench.
- 2:27Speaker 5: We know how to play softball.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Well, if you get to first base, you drink a beer. Yeah,
- 2:30Speaker 3: we know how to play softball.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Yeah. So apparently for now, the threat of kicking LSU
- 2:44Speaker 1: out of the conference is over. The roster has been set.
- 2:51Speaker 1: The president of LSU has finally poked his head out
- 2:57Speaker 1: of his hole. It took, I guess, the fact that
- 3:04Speaker 1: people he may know in the presidential business calling him
- 3:08Speaker 1: and saying, hey, this is serious. We ain't playing around.
- 3:14Speaker 1: You guys... better get in line or you may be
- 3:19Speaker 1: playing in your own league. And so finally, Wade Rouse said, oh,
- 3:27Speaker 1: are you kidding? I mean, because I.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Thought this was.
- 3:31Speaker 5: The last time anybody got kicked out of the SEC
- 3:35Speaker 5: was Sawani.
- 3:38Speaker 1: How long ago was that?
- 3:39Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Five, six years?
- 3:42Speaker 1: It's been about 100 years.
- 3:45Speaker 5: Because Sewanee was cheating.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Well, okay, so I tweeted this today. My tweet was,
- 3:53Speaker 1: LSU must have, I don't understand all the legal stuff,
- 3:57Speaker 1: but LSU must have done something really, really bad for
- 4:02Speaker 1: the SEC to want to kick them out, given the
- 4:06Speaker 1: history of the SEC. So that was my tweet today.
- 4:11Speaker 1: And I stand by that, by the way.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Yes.
- 4:14Speaker 1: I mean, besides the old Southwest Conference, the only other
- 4:20Speaker 1: league that can compete with the level of cheating was
- 4:23Speaker 1: the SEC historically.
- 4:25Speaker 5: Or the University of Memphis.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Okay, but that, yeah. Let's do it by league, okay?
- 4:32Speaker 1: Let's do it by league. So, yeah, it's funny that
- 4:38Speaker 1: it's come to this.
- 4:39Speaker 3: It's... I thought it was the worst.
- 4:45Speaker 5: Flippant comment, and I've seen flippant comments that I remember
- 4:50Speaker 5: for half a century. Lane Kiffin saying that at the
- 4:56Speaker 5: end of the interview.
- 4:57Speaker 1: I thought it was funny. I thought it was really funny.
- 5:02Speaker 5: I didn't think it was funny, but I love what
- 5:05Speaker 5: it cost.
- 5:06Speaker 1: What it cost?
- 5:07Speaker 7: This.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Nah, that had nothing to do with anything. If it did,
- 5:12Speaker 1: then that's crazy. If that's what it took, that's stupid.
- 5:16Speaker 5: I'm happy. Alabama shouldn't have been able to play the
- 5:20Speaker 5: basketball guy. If you had handled it, like I said,
- 5:26Speaker 5: the day that they said he could play, if the
- 5:29Speaker 5: SEC commissioner would come out and say, we're not going
- 5:32Speaker 5: to do this, we're not.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Going to have pro players come.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Wait a minute. I think the Rangers just said a
- 5:38Speaker 1: home run.
- 5:39Speaker 7: Home run.
- 5:40Speaker 3: So it's now 4-3?
- 5:41Speaker 1: He should have hit one when there were two men
- 5:45Speaker 1: on when he grounded out into a double play. Still 3-2.
- 5:49Speaker 1: It's 3-2. Oppo.
- 5:51Speaker 5: You know what?
- 5:51Speaker 1: That was an oppo.
- 5:52Speaker 3: I don't even care who wins this game.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Nor should you, because it's not going to matter in
- 5:57Speaker 1: the grand scheme of things. But, look, I thought it
- 6:01Speaker 1: was funny. But this appears to be settled down for now.
- 6:11Speaker 1: All of the posturing is done on LSU's side, except
- 6:14Speaker 1: for Senator Kennedy, who, by the way, before even today,
- 6:19Speaker 1: I loved him because I loved the stuff that he says.
- 6:26Speaker 1: And I don't know if you've seen it or not.
- 6:27Speaker 5: I have not.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Okay, let me read this because it's too funny.
- 6:31Speaker 5: Because this is from the Honorable.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Not to read a second time. The Honorable Senator John
- 6:35Speaker 1: Kennedy from the state of Louisiana said, that the conference's
- 6:41Speaker 1: complaint is, quote, bone deep down to the marrow stupid.
- 6:46Speaker 1: I've got rocks in my driveway that are smarter than that.
- 6:49Speaker 1: They're not going to throw LSU out of the SEC.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. I and a lot of
- 6:55Speaker 1: other people in the United States Congress will be on
- 6:58Speaker 1: them like a hobo on a ham sandwich. LSU hasn't
- 7:02Speaker 1: done anything wrong. It's called a court of law. God
- 7:06Speaker 1: made courts to decide disputes. Whether you agree with what
- 7:10Speaker 1: LSU did or disagree, we did the right thing by
- 7:14Speaker 1: going to court. We just didn't do stuff. We went
- 7:18Speaker 1: to court. We're going to abide by the court's decision,
- 7:23Speaker 1: but they're not going to start, quote, all this stuff.
- 7:28Speaker 1: So that's Senator Kennedy.
- 7:30Speaker 5: At what time?
- 7:32Speaker 1: After the president came out and said, whoa, whoa, hey.
- 7:38Speaker 1: We're in compliance with everything, and we're never going to
- 7:43Speaker 1: not follow the rules, and we're not going to interrupt
- 7:47Speaker 1: this meeting you have scheduled for tomorrow with the presidents
- 7:50Speaker 1: and the chancellors. To be clear, we're not challenging, disrupting,
- 7:55Speaker 1: or seeking to cancel that meeting that you've scheduled for tomorrow.
- 7:59Speaker 1: We're all good here at LSU. We are in compliance,
- 8:03Speaker 1: we're towing the line, and everything is copacetic.
- 8:08Speaker 5: Do you think Mississippi still wants to have a meeting?
- 8:10Speaker 1: Yeah, probably. What do you think the proper response now
- 8:20Speaker 1: for the league is? What would be a proper response
- 8:25Speaker 1: in terms of penalizing LSU for all of this? What
- 8:30Speaker 1: should they do to let all the other conference members
- 8:35Speaker 1: know And LSU, as you just said, if Sankey would
- 8:38Speaker 1: have come out last year and said, look, you ain't
- 8:40Speaker 1: going anywhere because you're playing an ineligible player. Yes. What
- 8:45Speaker 1: should the conference presidents do to LSU?
- 8:51Speaker 5: I think that the conference presidents should put them, that's
- 8:58Speaker 5: funny to say.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Double secret probation.
- 9:00Speaker 5: No, no. Double public probation.
- 9:03Speaker 6: Meaning?
- 9:03Speaker 8: Meaning?
- 9:04Speaker 5: Meaning that you're getting a public.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Meaning that if Will Wade proceeds to do what he's done... Yes.
- 9:13Speaker 1: We will do what we said we were.
- 9:15Speaker 5: Going to do. Because that is a lack of institutional control.
- 9:19Speaker 1: And apparently, and I don't follow this, apparently they have
- 9:22Speaker 1: a professional soccer player playing soccer at LSU.
- 9:25Speaker 3: And they have... They have four basketball players.
- 9:27Speaker 1: And women's basketball players and men's basketball players.
- 9:30Speaker 5: And they had two softball players that played in the
- 9:33Speaker 5: professional fast pitch league this last year that want to
- 9:35Speaker 5: come back.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Okay.
- 9:36Speaker 5: So all of them, every sport.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Are you saying they're the only school that has this
- 9:41Speaker 1: that you know of?
- 9:42Speaker 5: They're the only school that went and said, you need
- 9:49Speaker 5: to join this lawsuit so we can get you back.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Okay. So what should they do?
- 9:57Speaker 5: I think publicly they need to say that.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Your hand has been fought.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Are they going to suspend Lane Kiffin?
- 10:03Speaker 9: No.
- 10:04Speaker 1: You don't think they will?
- 10:05Speaker 3: I do not think they will.
- 10:06Speaker 4: Okay.
- 10:06Speaker 5: I think all of the coaches should be told at
- 10:11Speaker 5: all of the institutions, okay, our presidents have come out
- 10:17Speaker 5: and said we are not going to do this.
- 10:19Speaker 10: Right.
- 10:20Speaker 5: The rules of the SEC say you're not going to
- 10:23Speaker 5: do this, and if you pursue it, you can be suspended.
- 10:27Speaker 6: Okay.
- 10:31Speaker 3: The coach can be suspended. The coach can be suspended.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Okay. Because all of the saber-rattling about, you know, we're
- 10:39Speaker 1: going to— Not going to play you. You know, we're
- 10:44Speaker 1: not going to do this. Well, we already know with
- 10:47Speaker 1: the TV contracts and all of that, that wasn't going
- 10:49Speaker 1: to happen at Texas Tech when the Sorsby thing came out.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Now other teams cannot play them in the future. I
- 10:55Speaker 1: can get that. They can say we're not playing you.
- 10:59Speaker 1: And that could happen. But for now, no.
- 11:02Speaker 5: And I would say that we're not going to certify
- 11:04Speaker 5: that you're eligible for postseason competition.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I mean, that would get people's attention, right?
- 11:11Speaker 5: Suspend the coach and say the team can't be in postseason.
- 11:15Speaker 1: That would get people's attention. Everybody's attention, right? Within the league.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Because you have to enforce the whole league, right?
- 11:22Speaker 6: Yes.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Okay. That's fine. Let's move on. Okay. I'm kind of
- 11:27Speaker 1: tired of this.
- 11:28Speaker 3: But Will Wade only has four basketball players.
- 11:31Speaker 1: It was so fun to be able to watch football
- 11:34Speaker 1: and watch just football this weekend. What stood out? what
- 11:41Speaker 1: got your attention besides Miami? I'm me too on Miami.
- 11:46Speaker 4: Yes.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Uh, I think LSU is really good. I tell you
- 11:49Speaker 1: what stood out to me with LSU the most, and
- 11:53Speaker 1: I don't care. People don't want to hear this or not.
- 11:55Speaker 1: That was a really well coached, prepared football team. Now
- 11:59Speaker 1: they were playing a bad football team. Okay. And so I've,
- 12:04Speaker 1: I've got to see more. I thought Texas looked really good,
- 12:07Speaker 1: but they were playing Texas state, right? Uh, We'll know
- 12:12Speaker 1: more about Ohio State this weekend. We'll know more about
- 12:17Speaker 1: Texas this weekend. We may know more about Michigan this
- 12:22Speaker 1: weekend and how bad we think they are, right, because
- 12:25Speaker 1: they're playing Oklahoma.
- 12:27Speaker 5: In the big house again, right?
- 12:28Speaker 1: In the big house. In the big house. I expect
- 12:32Speaker 1: a full effort after the embarrassment, but that doesn't mean
- 12:34Speaker 1: they're good enough to do anything about it.
- 12:37Speaker 5: Do they get a double fine next week if they
- 12:39Speaker 5: charge the field if they upset Oklahoma?
- 12:42Speaker 3: That was the most embarrassing thing of all.
- 12:44Speaker 1: That's embarrassing.
- 12:45Speaker 5: That was embarrassing.
- 12:46Speaker 1: No doubt. It's embarrassing. I tell you the game that
- 12:51Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to seeing is Missouri and Kansas.
- 12:55Speaker 5: Okay.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Because they haven't played in a while, right? They played
- 12:58Speaker 1: last year, I think. Was this a home and home,
- 13:00Speaker 1: a short-term deal? Yes. Missouri kind of clocked them, I think,
- 13:05Speaker 1: last year.
- 13:05Speaker 11: Yes.
- 13:06Speaker 1: But they're playing at Kansas this year. We've talked about
- 13:10Speaker 1: the history. They really don't like one another. The states
- 13:14Speaker 1: don't like one another. The people don't like. It goes
- 13:16Speaker 1: back a ways to Civil War.
- 13:19Speaker 5: Where is this game being played at?
- 13:20Speaker 1: At Kansas.
- 13:21Speaker 5: So they're not going to show the outlaw Josie Wales
- 13:23Speaker 5: before this?
- 13:25Speaker 1: Did they do that at Missouri?
- 13:26Speaker 5: They should have.
- 13:26Speaker 1: They should have. Because all you need to know is
- 13:29Speaker 1: right there, the outlaw Josie Wales. But I'm looking forward
- 13:32Speaker 1: to that one.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Iowa State, Iowa.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Iowa State and Iowa.
- 13:35Speaker 3: I don't think Iowa State's going to be good.
- 13:38Speaker 1: I don't either. But it's still a rivalry game.
- 13:40Speaker 3: It's a rivalry game.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Right.
- 13:41Speaker 5: And I honestly think Iowa has offense.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Okay. We'll see.
- 13:48Speaker 5: They were much improved last year.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I saw the highlights. But I'm saying they were improved
- 13:51Speaker 3: last year.
- 13:52Speaker 1: They were once the coach's son quit.
- 13:54Speaker 10: Right.
- 13:54Speaker 3: And now they seem to be improved now.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Which means they could be pretty good. They
- 14:00Speaker 1: were pretty good last year. Yeah. Texas A & M
- 14:07Speaker 1: and Arizona State Saturday morning. I've said this before. I
- 14:15Speaker 1: love how Elko talks about his opponent because by the
- 14:18Speaker 1: time he gets through, and it's different from Lou. It's
- 14:24Speaker 1: more analytical, right? He's convinced when he says it, and
- 14:30Speaker 1: he might be right. I haven't seen Arizona State. They
- 14:34Speaker 1: may have two NFL quarterbacks. They may have two NFL
- 14:37Speaker 1: wide receivers. They may have a big, strong quarterback that
- 14:41Speaker 1: can throw the ball. They may have all of those things.
- 14:44Speaker 1: And the fact that it's a 14-point spread and not
- 14:48Speaker 1: a 40-point spread will tell you the difference in caliber
- 14:52Speaker 1: and quality of opponent that A & M will play Saturday.
- 14:57Speaker 1: So I'm looking forward to seeing that game.
- 15:02Speaker 5: Along with most of the top ten teams, I thought
- 15:06Speaker 5: A & M performed at the level they should perform at.
- 15:10Speaker 1: And we haven't always seen that. No. And they did.
- 15:13Speaker 1: They were really good Saturday.
- 15:14Speaker 3: I thought Oregon.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Especially the second half. Yes. The offense took a while, right?
- 15:18Speaker 1: The offensive line took a while, as Elko has already
- 15:21Speaker 1: talked about. But once they did, yeah. The second half
- 15:28Speaker 1: was really clean. really dominating, which is what you want
- 15:33Speaker 1: to see.
- 15:35Speaker 5: But I'm not going to say that Oregon struggled against
- 15:38Speaker 5: Boise State makes me think any less of Oregon.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I thought Boise State was really good Saturday.
- 15:44Speaker 5: They were.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I thought they were really good.
- 15:46Speaker 3: I kept expecting.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I thought Louisville was really good in the second half
- 15:50Speaker 1: once that quarterback got comfortable.
- 15:52Speaker 3: I thought Wisconsin was good in the first half against
- 15:55Speaker 3: Notre Dame.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I did, too. I thought they were much better than
- 16:00Speaker 1: what we've seen. I agree with that. And it took
- 16:05Speaker 1: Notre Dame a little while.
- 16:06Speaker 5: Yes.
- 16:07Speaker 1: But, yeah.
- 16:09Speaker 5: So I think that most of the top 10 teams
- 16:12Speaker 5: had a good warmup leading to better competition this week,
- 16:16Speaker 5: except for Michigan.
- 16:18Speaker 6: Uh, Alabama.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Well, they weren't a top 10 team. So, right.
- 16:20Speaker 5: But I'm saying Oklahoma now sees, you know, blood in
- 16:24Speaker 5: the water.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Yeah. Um, cause I don't think Alabama, Kentucky is an
- 16:30Speaker 1: intriguing game to me. It's 10. Yeah. Um, That's an
- 16:38Speaker 1: intriguing game because I really like the new coach. I'm
- 16:40Speaker 1: not saying, you know, I don't know what he's done
- 16:42Speaker 1: up there, but he, I tell you who he reminded
- 16:46Speaker 1: me of at that, at the, at the media days.
- 16:49Speaker 5: Alex Skolish?
- 16:50Speaker 1: No. Well, I like Alex Skolish too. I do like him.
- 16:53Speaker 1: His story's phenomenal. He reminded me of Gary Pinkle.
- 16:58Speaker 5: Okay.
- 16:59Speaker 4: Right.
- 17:00Speaker 1: When he walked in that first day at the big
- 17:02Speaker 1: 12 meetings and you went, okay, this guy's pretty serious.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Now I, Doesn't always turn out that way, right? Yes.
- 17:09Speaker 1: But looking back, I go, well, I nailed that one.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I was a pretty good judge of that one.
- 17:14Speaker 12: Right.
- 17:16Speaker 1: And I think this Kentucky guy is going to be
- 17:18Speaker 1: pretty good. That doesn't mean he's going to win seven
- 17:21Speaker 1: games this year. But I'm looking forward to seeing it
- 17:23Speaker 1: because Alabama's got the freshman. He got better in the
- 17:26Speaker 1: second half, apparently. I watched almost none of that game
- 17:29Speaker 1: because I didn't really care. But the kid obviously has talent.
- 17:34Speaker 1: I just don't know.
- 17:35Speaker 5: I still don't know if Alabama can run the football.
- 17:38Speaker 1: I don't either. I don't know about them. I don't
- 17:40Speaker 1: know about them. So we'll see. Texas, Ohio State, Saturday.
- 17:47Speaker 5: Is it going to be warm?
- 17:48Speaker 1: Yeah, really warm.
- 17:51Speaker 5: Really, really warm?
- 17:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:52Speaker 5: As warm as it was last week?
- 17:53Speaker 1: Well, they played at 230 last week, so no. But
- 17:57Speaker 1: it's going to be warm.
- 17:59Speaker 5: I think– I don't think the loser is– I don't
- 18:05Speaker 5: think the loser is out of anything.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Well, they weren't out last year.
- 18:08Speaker 5: Florida is what knocked Texas out, not Ohio State.
- 18:11Speaker 1: True. Yeah. But I think this game, in my mind,
- 18:17Speaker 1: is much more important to Steve Sarkeesian than it is
- 18:20Speaker 1: to Ryan Day.
- 18:21Speaker 3: I think it's like when he plays Georgia.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Exactly. He needs to slay that dragon.
- 18:26Speaker 4: Yes.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Or it's just going to keep on and on.
- 18:28Speaker 5: Elko's got the same thing playing the other way, to Austin.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Yeah, he's got to slay the dragon.
- 18:33Speaker 13: Right.
- 18:34Speaker 10: And.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I didn't watch Ohio State last week either, so I
- 18:38Speaker 1: don't know. I know they're good. I know Sayan's good.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I know Smith is good. They have two Heisman candidates, right?
- 18:45Speaker 1: Texas probably has, if you want to throw in receivers,
- 18:48Speaker 1: then they've got that equal talent, right? Although Sayan has
- 18:54Speaker 1: been much more accurate than Arch has.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Well, that's true, too.
- 18:59Speaker 1: I still don't know about the offensive line. I don't
- 19:01Speaker 1: know if they can run the football. I didn't realize this.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Kirk wrote this today, but Texas ran for 166 yards
- 19:11Speaker 1: last year, and it didn't seem like it because they
- 19:13Speaker 1: couldn't score inside the five-yard line. And Sark has not
- 19:16Speaker 1: been able to score inside the five-yard line since he's
- 19:18Speaker 1: been the head coach in a big ball game.
- 19:21Speaker 5: Well, but I was about to say, if one of
- 19:24Speaker 5: the three All-American cornerbacks just falls down for Ohio State
- 19:28Speaker 5: like Texas State did, Cam Coleman can catch another touchdown
- 19:30Speaker 5: pass inside the 10-yard line.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Well, yeah. I mean, we'll see.
- 19:36Speaker 5: It's great. You have NFL guys going against NFL guys.
- 19:40Speaker 1: It's one versus one. There'll be a lot of talent
- 19:42Speaker 1: on the field.
- 19:42Speaker 5: There's a lot of talent on the field.
- 19:45Speaker 3: But I also think that that's, you know.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I just think there's less pressure on Ohio state because
- 19:55Speaker 1: I may be wrong. I may be wrong about that, but,
- 19:58Speaker 1: but I feel like Texas is at home. That's the
- 20:02Speaker 1: bottom line, right?
- 20:03Speaker 8: They, they need to win that game. I, I, think
- 20:09Speaker 8: even though Michigan is not going to be very good,
- 20:13Speaker 8: I think Ohio State still carries around Indiana and Oregon
- 20:18Speaker 8: pressure on them, like teams in the SEC do, that Georgia.
- 20:26Speaker 5: Texas, Texas A & M, LSU, whatever, there is still
- 20:31Speaker 5: a pressure because with a 12-team playoff, you've got, you
- 20:36Speaker 5: can't You can't lose games like this.
- 20:41Speaker 3: You can't lose games like this and play bad.
- 20:45Speaker 5: If it's a great game, Oregon, Boise State doesn't hurt
- 20:49Speaker 5: Boise State.
- 20:50Speaker 3: It doesn't hurt Oregon.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I was surprised Boise State wasn't in the top 25
- 20:55Speaker 1: this week. I got to be honest with you. I
- 20:58Speaker 1: thought they deserved to be in the top 25.
- 21:01Speaker 5: But after they play Memphis, that game right, the winner
- 21:04Speaker 5: of Boise and Memphis will be in the top 25,
- 21:08Speaker 5: will be the favorite to go to the playoff out
- 21:12Speaker 5: of that one slot that they still have. So they'll
- 21:16Speaker 5: have their chance.
- 21:18Speaker 1: What did you think about Ole Miss?
- 21:22Speaker 5: That was a great game, too.
- 21:24Speaker 1: It was. They didn't look very good defensively.
- 21:29Speaker 5: Considering who they had back defensively. But to win the
- 21:32Speaker 5: game without your best running back, who's a stud, Lacey's
- 21:36Speaker 5: a stud.
- 21:36Speaker 10: He is.
- 21:37Speaker 5: You didn't play him in the second half.
- 21:40Speaker 1: I haven't seen any. Hey, Stan, would you look up
- 21:46Speaker 1: Kiwan Lacey injury report? Because I didn't see the fallout
- 21:51Speaker 1: after the fact from that. They said bruised thigh, but
- 21:53Speaker 1: that could be anything. And you're right. When he was
- 21:58Speaker 1: running early before he got hurt, it's like, okay, here's
- 22:02Speaker 1: a Heisman Trophy type of dude, right? I mean, he's
- 22:06Speaker 1: the best running back in college football. But he, we'll see.
- 22:12Speaker 5: No, the guy at Florida is the best running back.
- 22:14Speaker 1: He's pretty good, too. Ball?
- 22:16Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 22:16Speaker 1: He's pretty good. And I'll tell you what, that freshman
- 22:20Speaker 1: at Florida State is pretty dang good, too. Yeah. He
- 22:23Speaker 1: just doesn't have enough help.
- 22:24Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 22:28Speaker 5: I just think that I thought it was, other than
- 22:32Speaker 5: the fact that I wanted to see Western Michigan win.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:36Speaker 5: Just to tump over the apple cart.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Speaking of apples.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Yes.
- 22:42Speaker 5: The Washington State Washington game was a good game.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Pretty entertaining game. Either Washington State is not bad, and
- 22:51Speaker 1: they have developed some pretty good coaches who have come
- 22:54Speaker 1: in and out of that program since Coach Leach left.
- 22:58Speaker 14: Yes.
- 22:58Speaker 1: They've had some pretty good coaches, unlike Mississippi State, who may,
- 23:03Speaker 1: and I'm not throwing them under the bus yet.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Give them 760 yards, Chip.
- 23:08Speaker 9: I know.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I know. Well, they have a quarterback. I'm going to
- 23:11Speaker 1: tell you something. This kid can play.
- 23:13Speaker 3: But Chip, they've had quarterbacks.
- 23:14Speaker 1: So they're going to have a shot. I know. I
- 23:16Speaker 1: get it.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Not that they coach him right or call the right offense.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Yes, sir.
- 23:20Speaker 15: So he does have the thigh and leg injury, and
- 23:22Speaker 15: he's looking like he's not going to start this week.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Okay. And who do they play? Directional school, I think.
- 23:29Speaker 3: They play Charlotte.
- 23:34Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Directional school. Yeah, it doesn't matter.
- 23:38Speaker 5: But all things being equal, Ole Miss had pressure on
- 23:42Speaker 5: them because he is still going to be compared to
- 23:45Speaker 5: what Kiffin did.
- 23:45Speaker 1: The day before. Okay, so here's what I did when
- 23:49Speaker 1: I made my preseason picks. I know he came on.
- 23:54Speaker 1: I know what he did last year, right? In the
- 23:57Speaker 1: middle of chaos and going into the playoffs and almost
- 24:03Speaker 1: getting to the championship game, I give credit for that.
- 24:10Speaker 1: But I have to see him for a season. You
- 24:13Speaker 1: know what I'm saying?
- 24:14Speaker 4: Yes.
- 24:15Speaker 1: I want to see him game in and game out
- 24:17Speaker 1: and how the team's prepared and how they come out
- 24:20Speaker 1: and what they do.
- 24:22Speaker 5: Are you going to win when you're... quarterback. They have
- 24:25Speaker 5: a great quarterback. Are you going to win when you
- 24:29Speaker 5: don't have him playing his best game in the first half?
- 24:33Speaker 3: I'm saying, okay.
- 24:34Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Because every game in the playoff, he played at the.
- 24:38Speaker 2: A, A level.
- 24:39Speaker 1: He did. Yeah.
- 24:40Speaker 3: And not everybody.
- 24:41Speaker 5: Plays at the A level.
- 24:42Speaker 1: You're right.
- 24:43Speaker 3: What do you do when he doesn't play?
- 24:45Speaker 1: I just need to see him for a season. Yeah.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Pete Golding. I'm talking about, I just, I don't know. Right. I'm,
- 24:53Speaker 1: you know, I, Everyone, and we've talked about this before,
- 24:56Speaker 1: a lot of people are on the Oklahoma bandwagon, and
- 24:59Speaker 1: I know their defense is really salty, okay, because that's
- 25:03Speaker 1: what he does, and he's really good at it. I've
- 25:06Speaker 1: got to see this quarterback. I've got to see the
- 25:09Speaker 1: running back. I've got to see the offensive line this
- 25:11Speaker 1: year before I'm ready to jump on that bandwagon. I'm
- 25:15Speaker 1: just not yet because he hasn't. I know they went
- 25:19Speaker 1: to the playoffs last year. I get it. But, man,
- 25:22Speaker 1: they were hard to watch at times. And now it's, well,
- 25:26Speaker 1: he was hurt. And I get it. He had a
- 25:29Speaker 1: thumb injury. I think he had some surgery on the thumb.
- 25:31Speaker 1: He wasn't good.
- 25:32Speaker 3: He wasn't hurt the week after. I never thought he
- 25:36Speaker 3: was great.
- 25:37Speaker 1: You did not. I didn't, right? Before that, I never
- 25:41Speaker 1: thought he deserved all that attention. And I've got to
- 25:46Speaker 1: see him. He's got to prove it. And Venables has
- 25:48Speaker 1: to prove it to me before I'll say, okay. I
- 25:51Speaker 1: get it. You're top 10, maybe another playoff team. And
- 25:56Speaker 1: they'll have plenty of chances to prove that. I want
- 25:59Speaker 1: to see them Saturday in the big house, right? This
- 26:01Speaker 1: is a team between two programs.
- 26:03Speaker 5: That didn't do OU any favors.
- 26:06Speaker 1: It did not. Absolutely did not. Because whatever Michigan is,
- 26:12Speaker 1: and I don't think they're very good, but whatever they are,
- 26:16Speaker 1: You'll see their best on Saturday, right? They're at home
- 26:20Speaker 1: against a top program on national TV. Whatever they have,
- 26:25Speaker 1: Oklahoma's going to get it on Saturday. Yeah. And I
- 26:29Speaker 1: don't know what that is.
- 26:31Speaker 5: And he's not, Venables is not going to out-coach the
- 26:37Speaker 5: other coach.
- 26:38Speaker 1: No, because I still, despite what happened this last week,
- 26:42Speaker 1: everybody said, oh, Kyle, I'm going to look. This guy
- 26:46Speaker 1: has 20-plus years of credibility, okay? He's stepping into a
- 26:51Speaker 1: program that the other coach just wrecked, okay? And I
- 26:55Speaker 1: know you can rebuild quickly. I don't know what he
- 26:58Speaker 1: did in the offseason. He was hired relatively late, right?
- 27:02Speaker 1: He was relatively late. I have no doubt if they
- 27:07Speaker 1: give him– and usually Michigan is, you know– As patient
- 27:12Speaker 1: as most big-time schools.
- 27:14Speaker 5: Because you still won by a second.
- 27:18Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. I'm just saying.
- 27:21Speaker 5: It had been a very short honeymoon.
- 27:23Speaker 1: I think this guy is going to be fine. Is
- 27:27Speaker 1: that the game?
- 27:28Speaker 5: No.
- 27:29Speaker 1: It's one out. Time run at second. I like Kyle Whittingham.
- 27:36Speaker 1: I thought he was a brilliant hire. And I think
- 27:38Speaker 1: he'll do well at Michigan. given another year or two.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Because the quarterback he has now is not very good. No.
- 27:50Speaker 1: He is not very good.
- 27:51Speaker 5: But he's getting paid like he is.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yeah, well, that doesn't matter. We're going to take a break.
- 27:56Speaker 1: We'll come back and have a couple more things to
- 28:00Speaker 1: talk about. I want to send you to Destination Brian

- 30:57Speaker 12: I would not have found you... Angel flying... If you had.
- 31:04Speaker 5: Not have fallen.
- 31:07Speaker 12: But I would not have found you. Angel flying too
- 31:13Speaker 12: close to.
- 31:15Speaker 1: The ground. We got gremlins in the computer system this afternoon.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Hey, you can restart this song a couple times.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Oh, I could restart this song all night long.
- 31:25Speaker 5: Hey!
- 31:26Speaker 1: And it's over.
- 31:28Speaker 3: He's not 0-2 Carter anymore.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Yeah, he's strikeout Carter.
- 31:31Speaker 5: He's batting a buck 95.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Oh, he's up to 195.
- 31:34Speaker 3: He was at 197 before that strikeout.
- 31:37Speaker 14: Wow.
- 31:37Speaker 1: He's been pounding the ball lately.
- 31:40Speaker 9: Really?
- 31:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:41Speaker 5: Are you being sarcastic?
- 31:42Speaker 1: No, I'm not being sarcastic. He's been terrible. Yeah, the
- 31:47Speaker 1: Rangers are running out of time. Just kill us and
- 31:50Speaker 1: put us out of our misery, please. It's just been brutal.
- 31:53Speaker 3: Why has it been brutal?
- 31:55Speaker 1: Just brutal.
- 31:56Speaker 5: I mean, the Astros are playing series against five playoff
- 31:59Speaker 5: teams in a row.
- 32:02Speaker 1: They're playing good baseball, unfortunately. They're playing well.
- 32:06Speaker 5: How's it unfortunate?
- 32:07Speaker 1: It's very unfortunate. You're a baseball guy.
- 32:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 32:14Speaker 1: What about the schedule this Aggie baseball team is faced
- 32:18Speaker 1: with coming up that was released yesterday? Were there six
- 32:25Speaker 1: NCAA teams on the schedule or seven? I mean, you're
- 32:28Speaker 1: going to get that every year in the SEC.
- 32:31Speaker 5: It was a lot. Yeah, I mean, but a significant
- 32:36Speaker 5: portion of those are at home this year.
- 32:40Speaker 1: You get Oklahoma, LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss at home.
- 32:44Speaker 3: I mean, what did Oklahoma end up doing?
- 32:47Speaker 1: They were pretty good, right?
- 32:48Speaker 3: No, they were good in the playoffs.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Well, they were really good in the playoffs.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Let's be honest about that.
- 32:53Speaker 5: Tennessee didn't perform to expectations last year. They did not.
- 32:58Speaker 5: Kentucky didn't. Oklahoma exceeds. Mississippi State about what they thought
- 33:04Speaker 5: they'd be. LSU was a dumpster fire. South Carolina was
- 33:09Speaker 5: a dumpster fire and changed the coaches again. Who's the
- 33:12Speaker 5: new coach there? Hold on. I'll have to look it up.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Okay. That's okay.
- 33:17Speaker 5: But Arkansas was below expectations. So, I mean, Ole Miss–
- 33:31Speaker 5: You got to go to Austin. I mean, at least
- 33:35Speaker 5: they're playing Texas. Softball's not playing Texas or OU this year.
- 33:41Speaker 1: No kidding. Yes. Why is that? Oh, they didn't schedule them?
- 33:44Speaker 5: Didn't schedule them.
- 33:44Speaker 3: What's up with that?
- 33:45Speaker 5: The SEC didn't schedule.
- 33:47Speaker 3: They didn't schedule Texas and A & M and softball?
- 33:50Speaker 5: No, because OU's a rival.
- 33:52Speaker 1: That's crazy talk. Why would they do that?
- 33:56Speaker 5: I don't know. I have no idea.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Is there any other sport that happens?
- 34:01Speaker 5: Softball is playing Tennessee, Alabama, Tennessee at home, at Alabama,
- 34:06Speaker 5: at Florida.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Those are all College World Series teams. They don't put
- 34:10Speaker 1: Texas on their schedule?
- 34:11Speaker 5: Auburn, at Arkansas, who was in the College World Series, Missouri,
- 34:15Speaker 5: at Kentucky, South Carolina. So, no.
- 34:18Speaker 17: No.
- 34:20Speaker 1: What is that? Seriously, is there any other sport that's
- 34:24Speaker 1: done that since Texas got back in the conference?
- 34:28Speaker 4: No.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Because, you know, basketball plays twice, obviously, on both sides.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Boys and girls, football plays.
- 34:34Speaker 5: But football, A & M is not Texas' rival.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I know.
- 34:37Speaker 5: OU is.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Yes. But they're still scheduling them.
- 34:41Speaker 5: But there will be a period of time where A
- 34:43Speaker 5: & M and Texas do not play in the SEC.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Do you believe that?
- 34:46Speaker 5: Yes.
- 34:47Speaker 1: I don't believe that. Didn't they have, like, permanent rivals,
- 34:51Speaker 1: like four, something like that, that they'll rotate and those
- 34:55Speaker 1: games are going to be permanent?
- 34:56Speaker 4: No.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Or semi-permanent, whatever you want to say.
- 34:59Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 35:00Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure that Texas and A & M are
- 35:02Speaker 1: going to play every year. Yes. And especially with the ninth.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Isn't that true?
- 35:08Speaker 5: With the ninth.
- 35:08Speaker 1: And with the ninth schedule anyway. With the ninth game
- 35:10Speaker 1: gave you a chance to do that. They're going to
- 35:12Speaker 1: play every year. Yeah.
- 35:14Speaker 5: Well, A & M' s three are Texas.
- 35:17Speaker 1: LSU, and Missouri. Texas, A & M, Texas, LSU, Missouri, right?
- 35:22Speaker 1: Those are the permanent ones, right?
- 35:23Speaker 5: Those are the permanent ones.
- 35:24Speaker 1: The permanent rivalries.
- 35:25Speaker 5: Because it went to eight.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Because that Missouri rivalry, I mean, that's in fuego, right?
- 35:29Speaker 1: You had to have Missouri on that list. When you're
- 35:32Speaker 1: talking about rivals, I mean, A & M and Missouri,
- 35:34Speaker 1: come on.
- 35:35Speaker 5: Desperately wanted it to stick with Mississippi State like the original.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Yeah. Would have been better off probably. Yes.
- 35:44Speaker 3: Well, let's see. Next year at Texas, LSU, Missouri.
- 35:48Speaker 5: Are you sitting down?
- 35:49Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 35:50Speaker 5: Georgia at home.
- 35:51Speaker 1: That's right. I knew that. I knew Georgia. They're going
- 35:55Speaker 1: to play Georgia for the second time in 15 years.
- 36:00Speaker 5: First time at home.
- 36:01Speaker 1: First time at home ever. Yeah.
- 36:04Speaker 5: Ole Miss.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Between the Kyle Field hedges.
- 36:07Speaker 5: Ole Miss, Vanderbilt at home, at Auburn, at Florida, at
- 36:11Speaker 5: Mississippi State.
- 36:13Speaker 1: And at Texas.
- 36:14Speaker 5: And at Texas.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Yeah. That's an easier.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Schedule next year.
- 36:18Speaker 5: That's an easier schedule.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Can we get that schedule this year? Could you flip
- 36:23Speaker 1: that this year? I mean, that's... Yeah. You can't get
- 36:28Speaker 1: much better than that at the SEC.
- 36:31Speaker 5: Let's see.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Hey, I'm just going to tell you, I'm going to start.
- 36:34Speaker 3: 2029's not bad either.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Okay, so it's every other year, but.
- 36:38Speaker 7: I'm going to.
- 36:39Speaker 3: Auburn at home, Florida at home.
- 36:41Speaker 1: They may be good by then.
- 36:42Speaker 5: Mississippi State, but those are home games.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Okay.
- 36:44Speaker 3: So at Texas, at Georgia, at Mississippi, and at Vanderbilt.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Well, the Texas and Georgia ats aren't great.
- 36:51Speaker 5: Yeah, but the odd years look a little better. Yeah.
- 36:58Speaker 1: I'm starting hype from next year. I need to get
- 37:01Speaker 1: that schedule printed out. I'm starting next year's hype.
- 37:04Speaker 4: Georgia? Georgia?
- 37:06Speaker 3: Georgia.
- 37:07Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no.
- 37:08Speaker 5: Georgia's coming here.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Yeah, Georgia's coming here. In the year of our Lord, 2027.
- 37:12Speaker 3: Georgia is finally coming here.
- 37:14Speaker 5: How long has they been in the SEC?
- 37:17Speaker 1: Do you want Georgia coming here?
- 37:19Speaker 3: It's better than playing them there.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Well, true. If you've got to play them, you want
- 37:23Speaker 1: to play them here.
- 37:25Speaker 3: Do I think the officials.
- 37:27Speaker 18: Are going to be any better here than they were there?
- 37:29Speaker 18: Probably not, but at least it's here. If I'm in Austin,
- 37:33Speaker 18: I'm begging, hey, we've seen Georgia enough. We don't want
- 37:36Speaker 18: to ever play them again in this league. Could you
- 37:38Speaker 18: make that happen? At least until Kirby's gone. When Kirby leaves,
- 37:46Speaker 18: we'll play him.
- 37:46Speaker 3: You mean when Kirby turns into Dabo? Is that going
- 37:48Speaker 3: to happen?
- 37:51Speaker 1: You don't know in this crazy sport. And with, you know,
- 37:56Speaker 1: the portal and all of that, you don't think it's
- 37:59Speaker 1: going to happen. But if you'd have told me 10
- 38:00Speaker 1: years ago or even six years ago, now Dabo is
- 38:06Speaker 1: not in it for the long, you know, well, the
- 38:08Speaker 1: long haul, that's not fair, 19 years. But Dabo is
- 38:11Speaker 1: going to go down the hill. I'm going, no. Flame out. Yeah,
- 38:14Speaker 1: he's going to flame out. You'd say, no freaking way.
- 38:19Speaker 1: And I would say the same.
- 38:20Speaker 5: But you're going to say Dabo is going to flame out.
- 38:23Speaker 5: And Saban is going to have been retired for.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Five, for ten years. Exactly. Wouldn't have said that either, right?
- 38:30Speaker 1: It's just a whole new world. It's a whole new ballgame. So, yeah,
- 38:36Speaker 1: I don't see Kirby flaming out. But, like I said,
- 38:41Speaker 1: it's just not the same anymore. It's not the same.
- 38:44Speaker 1: All right. And, by the way, I didn't get to
- 38:47Speaker 1: see Kirby last week. Didn't he win by about 70
- 38:49Speaker 1: or something like that? They covered.
- 38:50Speaker 3: They covered.
- 38:51Speaker 5: Kirby had never covered as a 40-point favorite while at Georgia.
- 38:55Speaker 4: Seriously?
- 38:56Speaker 5: He was 0-19.
- 39:00Speaker 3: And 1.
- 39:00Speaker 1: You know, I saw A & M, the cover as well,
- 39:04Speaker 1: and they were about 50-50 on those big point games. Right.
- 39:10Speaker 1: And Elko, we have seen even when the opportunity is there,
- 39:16Speaker 1: he's probably not going to put 60 on somebody.
- 39:19Speaker 5: He didn't have a third and a fourth team running
- 39:21Speaker 5: back like he's got now.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Oh, my goodness gracious. Those two youngsters, they were impressive.
- 39:27Speaker 5: Hey, K.J. Edwards, before I go.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Yep.
- 39:30Speaker 5: Carthage, the coach at Carthage has done a great thing.
- 39:34Speaker 5: He never had 200 carries in a single year, and
- 39:38Speaker 5: they won three straight state championships.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Wow.
- 39:41Speaker 5: He has tread on his tires. He did not get
- 39:45Speaker 5: overused by the Carthage coaching staff. It's incredible. And you
- 39:50Speaker 5: see a fresh.
- 39:51Speaker 1: How about Carson Baker?
- 39:53Speaker 3: Good.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:54Speaker 18: Good.
- 39:55Speaker 1: I mean, those guys were... They had a wow factor.
- 40:01Speaker 5: I want to see Edwards more than anybody.
- 40:03Speaker 1: They're going to be playing this year. They're going to.
- 40:05Speaker 5: Be playing some ball. From four years ago, as a
- 40:08Speaker 5: sophomore in high school, when I saw... Edwards run through
- 40:12Speaker 5: a state championship and run around people.
- 40:15Speaker 1: As a freshman?
- 40:16Speaker 5: As a sophomore.
- 40:17Speaker 1: A sophomore, okay.
- 40:18Speaker 5: When they won state when he was a sophomore. And
- 40:20Speaker 5: it was just like, that guy is a dude.
- 40:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:24Speaker 1: All right, we got to go. Mallory is coming up.
- 40:29Speaker 3: First pitch for the Astros.
- 40:31Speaker 1: First pitch for the Astros right now.
- 40:33Speaker 5: Means they can pick up a game on the Rangers.
- 40:38Speaker 14: Another game.
- 40:39Speaker 1: The Rangers report, this was from last night, it'll be
- 40:43Speaker 1: a lot better than today, is brought to you by
- 40:45Speaker 1: Schulte Roofing and the Decker Financial Group.
- 40:48Speaker 7: It was after a hailstorm a few years back. I
- 40:50Speaker 7: needed a new roof. Yeah, I shopped around, and then
- 40:53Speaker 7: I found Schulte Roofing, and boy, I'm glad I did.
- 40:55Speaker 7: The folks at Schulte guided me every step of the way.
- 40:58Speaker 7: They showed me my options. They told me what my
- 41:01Speaker 7: out-of-pocket cost would be after insurance. They took the complication
- 41:04Speaker 7: out of an otherwise very stressful situation. They took off
- 41:07Speaker 7: the damaged roof, put on the new roof, did all
- 41:09Speaker 7: the cleanup, and I had my new roof in one day.
- 41:12Speaker 16: Schulte Roofing, the home of the bulletproof roof.
- 41:19Speaker 15: I'm Joshua Price with your Texas Rangers report. Rangers started
- 41:22Speaker 15: a new series with the Seattle Mariners. Did they have
- 41:25Speaker 15: the right start to keep them in the postseason hunt?
- 41:27Speaker 5: Details next.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Here's business analyst David Johnson.
- 41:32Speaker 5: You see them everywhere, on every product, in every store.
- 41:35Speaker 1: But as a business analyst, I see them differently. I
- 41:37Speaker 1: see efficiency.
- 41:38Speaker 10: When you're ready to scale your operations, don't guess. Call

- 41:59Speaker 15: The Texas Rangers began their final regular season series with
- 42:03Speaker 15: the Seattle Mariners in a big way, heating up the
- 42:06Speaker 15: bats for a 10-5 win in Seattle. Corey Seager got
- 42:10Speaker 15: the Rangers on the scoreboard in the first inning with
- 42:12Speaker 15: a solo home run.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Seager hits a high drive to deep right field. That
- 42:17Speaker 1: is way back, and that one is history. A towering
- 42:20Speaker 1: home run for Corey Seager.
- 42:22Speaker 15: Danny Jansen was responsible for the most RBIs of the
- 42:25Speaker 15: night with a three-run homer in the fifth an RBI
- 42:29Speaker 15: single in the seventh.
- 42:30Speaker 1: And the pitch is swung on. That's blasted to deep
- 42:33Speaker 1: left field. That is on its way. A three-run Jimmy
- 42:37Speaker 1: Jack for Danny Jansen.
- 42:40Speaker 15: Rangers continue the series with the Mariners with an early
- 42:43Speaker 15: start at 3-10 in Seattle. With your Texas Rangers report,
- 42:47Speaker 15: I'm Joshua Price.

- 43:19Speaker 12: A woman can come on so wildly And insist I
- 43:28Speaker 12: don't watch her ungrace Or watch her watch me.
- 43:37Speaker 2: And stand by my bed and shiver As if she
- 43:41Speaker 2: were cold.
- 43:47Speaker 12: Just to lie down beside me and touch me as
- 43:51Speaker 12: if I were gold. One night of love can't.
- 43:57Speaker 1: Make up for six nights alone. Mallory is brought to
- 44:03Speaker 1: us by Southwest Card World. I was thinking about this, Mallory.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Maybe the abbreviated edition is what the public has been
- 44:13Speaker 1: clamoring for all along. What are you trying to say, Chip?
- 44:19Speaker 1: I don't understand.
- 44:21Speaker 11: I thought we've been doing a rough job here.
- 44:25Speaker 1: We've been doing great. Well, I know I don't read
- 44:28Speaker 1: very well, but. My awards inbox is empty. Let's just
- 44:32Speaker 1: put it that way.
- 44:34Speaker 11: Have you submitted yourself for it?
- 44:36Speaker 1: No, I guess I need to do that. You know,
- 44:39Speaker 1: between that and missing the Venice Film Festival again this year,
- 44:45Speaker 1: I'm just, I'm out of touch. I don't know what
- 44:47Speaker 1: to say.
- 44:48Speaker 11: All right.
- 44:50Speaker 1: What's going on in the world?
- 44:52Speaker 11: Let's talk about, I feel like we've been talking about royals.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Or ex-royals more than not. Well, yeah, we have to.
- 44:58Speaker 1: Of course.
- 44:59Speaker 11: I mean, that's what these people want the most stories of.
- 45:03Speaker 11: But Prince William is paying his respects to Norway. He
- 45:08Speaker 11: joined other royals from around the world to pay tribute
- 45:11Speaker 11: to late King Harold, who died August 28th at the
- 45:15Speaker 11: age of 89.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Wow, I missed this. I totally missed that story.
- 45:21Speaker 11: Well, now you know.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Okay.
- 45:24Speaker 11: He was photographed walking in the procession along with his aunt,
- 45:29Speaker 11: Princess Anne, who attended the service in a personal capacity
- 45:33Speaker 11: as she was the godmother of the two Norway's new monarch.
- 45:37Speaker 9: Oh, my.
- 45:39Speaker 11: Hakon the Eighth?
- 45:40Speaker 1: No, no idea. Okay, sure.
- 45:43Speaker 11: I'm so sorry. I'm butchering that. He's 53. He took
- 45:47Speaker 11: the throne following his father's death. He, along with other
- 45:50Speaker 11: members of the Norwegian royal family, led the procession on
- 45:54Speaker 11: September 9th, which is today. Thousands of mourners lined the
- 45:58Speaker 11: street to pay tribute. His funeral service was held at.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Where was King Charles in all this?
- 46:10Speaker 11: So William was there to represent his father, apparently.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Is King Charles in poor health, too? Well, apparently. Have
- 46:20Speaker 1: we had stories about that?
- 46:22Speaker 11: Attendance follows the convention that apparently does not typically attend
- 46:27Speaker 11: the funeral of the kings.
- 46:29Speaker 10: Really?
- 46:29Speaker 4: I guess, typically.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 46:30Speaker 4: I guess.
- 46:31Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know.
- 46:32Speaker 11: I don't know anything about these royals.
- 46:33Speaker 1: I don't know how these royals work. I'm with you.
- 46:36Speaker 15: These royals.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Okay, so we've got to, as long as we're talking
- 46:42Speaker 1: death right now, we knew that Casey and Ben Affleck's
- 46:46Speaker 1: mother died. But yesterday at the Venice Film Festival, Casey
- 46:52Speaker 1: mentioned that his father had also died. The movie is
- 46:58Speaker 1: dedicated to my parents because I lost both my mom
- 47:02Speaker 1: and my dad, and they were very important to me.
- 47:05Speaker 1: I really wanted to show this movie to them, and
- 47:07Speaker 1: I didn't get to. I think they would have liked it.
- 47:13Speaker 1: He's debuting. Let's see. What is the movie? I don't know.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Ben joined the cast later in the evening. Oh, okay.
- 47:28Speaker 1: It's called Company. Nick Nolte is in it. My gosh.
- 47:34Speaker 1: We haven't had a Nick Nolte sighting in a long time.
- 47:39Speaker 1: So there you go. And, you know, again, I should
- 47:45Speaker 1: be there, but I'm not. Here's an interesting story. Sir
- 47:53Speaker 1: Tom Jones making it clear that his exit from The
- 47:57Speaker 1: Voice UK after 14 seasons was not his decision. In
- 48:04Speaker 1: an Instagram post yesterday, the 86-year-old Jones said he was
- 48:09Speaker 1: told his exit as a coach on the reality singing
- 48:12Speaker 1: competition was due to, quote, financial difficulty with insurance. Now,
- 48:20Speaker 1: I don't know what that means. Maybe they couldn't find
- 48:23Speaker 1: insurance for the 86-year-old in case he dropped dead on
- 48:26Speaker 1: the set. To be clear, I did not want to
- 48:29Speaker 1: leave the voice. I love the show. I appreciate the audience.
- 48:35Speaker 1: The decision was made a while ago, but I was
- 48:37Speaker 1: just told recently they say in the press they wanted to, quote,
- 48:41Speaker 1: refresh the show with a new coaching lineup. The Welch
- 48:46Speaker 1: singer said producers are offering him, quote, a much reduced
- 48:51Speaker 1: role where I would make an appearance, but without being
- 48:54Speaker 1: actually involved. says, I'm not thrilled about that. The only
- 48:59Speaker 1: thing I know right now is there's never a good
- 49:02Speaker 1: time to fire an 86-year-old who's pretty good at his job. Oh,
- 49:07Speaker 1: that sounds like a threat. Let's do a little age
- 49:12Speaker 1: discrimination lawsuit, Tom. I will handle that for you if
- 49:15Speaker 1: you want me to. I know he's a big listener, so.
- 49:20Speaker 1: There you go.
- 49:21Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 49:22Speaker 11: Sounds right. Sounds about right. Let's switch gears.
- 49:27Speaker 1: Okay.
- 49:28Speaker 11: Someone we don't talk about, but I love.
- 49:31Speaker 1: Judge Judy. Judge Judy.
- 49:33Speaker 11: Demands order in the court and at home, Chip, which
- 49:36Speaker 11: I would.
- 49:36Speaker 1: Expect nothing less. I would expect nothing else.
- 49:39Speaker 11: On a recent afternoon at her estate in Connecticut, the
- 49:44Speaker 11: TV personality known as Judge Judy.
- 49:46Speaker 1: I'm telling you, this lady, and we've talked about it before,
- 49:50Speaker 1: she has made hundreds of millions of dollars on this show.
- 49:56Speaker 11: She is the ultimate TV judge.
- 49:58Speaker 1: I mean, she has made serious coin being Judge Judy.
- 50:04Speaker 11: Man, and the attitude she's given some of these people
- 50:07Speaker 11: is just spectacular. She speaks in that tone, the withering
- 50:13Speaker 11: one that she used for three decades to dress down
- 50:16Speaker 11: small claims with wisecracks like, do.
- 50:22Speaker 1: You come from a long line of idiots? I like
- 50:24Speaker 1: that line. I'm going to take that line.
- 50:30Speaker 17: When her shih tzu starts yapping her shih tzu's name
- 50:33Speaker 17: is joey if you were wondering uh go to the
- 50:36Speaker 17: door and find out who's there she commands joey listens
- 50:39Speaker 17: to paraphrase one of the singers she's that.
- 50:42Speaker 11: Boss applesauce i like that she did but apparently there
- 50:47Speaker 11: is a um a prime video series called judy justice
- 50:51Speaker 11: it does end it's run in october she said she
- 50:53Speaker 11: will move away from on-camera work She goes, I have
- 50:57Speaker 11: a lot of other things of interest who list afternoon naps,
- 51:01Speaker 11: spending time with family and developing Judyverse, an adult animated
- 51:06Speaker 11: series based on the viral AI baby judge Judy videos
- 51:09Speaker 11: as priorities. I don't want to do hair and makeup anymore,
- 51:13Speaker 11: but I want to send my message.
- 51:15Speaker 1: I still want my message to get out there. That's
- 51:18Speaker 1: the beauty of animation. You can dress any way you
- 51:21Speaker 1: want to.
- 51:23Speaker 11: Gosh, my goodness.
- 51:25Speaker 1: But she does say she.
- 51:28Speaker 11: Is producing Adam's Law. It is a syndicated court show
- 51:32Speaker 11: featuring her son, Adam Levy.
- 51:33Speaker 12: Wow.
- 51:34Speaker 11: It does premiere September, almost 30 years to the day
- 51:38Speaker 11: after Judge Judy did debut.
- 51:41Speaker 1: Wow.
- 51:42Speaker 11: She then says there aren't a lot of people who
- 51:46Speaker 11: can carry a half hour on their own unscripted. He
- 51:50Speaker 11: has what it takes.
- 51:51Speaker 1: Good for him.
- 51:53Speaker 11: He did survive Judge Judy as a mom.
- 51:54Speaker 1: Well, I mean. I think he knows what he's doing.
- 51:57Speaker 1: You've got that going on. Can you imagine?
- 52:01Speaker 11: Wow.
- 52:02Speaker 1: Yeah, this lady is exceedingly wealthy.
- 52:07Speaker 5: Okay.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Good for her. Yeah. For all the Ted Lasso fans,
- 52:13Speaker 1: if you don't want to know, I have a story
- 52:17Speaker 1: for you. And I'll give you a second. But Jamie
- 52:22Speaker 1: Tartt is back. The heartthrob striker has remained off screen
- 52:29Speaker 1: for season four, but will return tonight on the episode
- 52:35Speaker 1: on Apple TV. The latest chapter takes place New Year's Eve.
- 52:40Speaker 1: Jamie sees as the perfect opportunity to launch Apple Tartt Vodka.
- 52:48Speaker 1: I have not watched season four, so I don't know
- 52:50Speaker 1: what they're talking about. But I know people will be
- 52:53Speaker 1: excited that Jamie is back. So there you go. All right.
- 52:59Speaker 1: Let's do some birthdays, can we? We can try. Yeah,
- 53:04Speaker 1: we can try. John McPhee of the Doobie Brothers is 76.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Tom Wopat is 75. Angela Cartwright from the Danny Thomas
- 53:13Speaker 1: Show is 74. I thought she was much older than that.
- 53:17Speaker 1: I got to tell you.
- 53:18Speaker 11: That's what every lady loves to hear.
- 53:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. Happy birthday. No, not that she looks at.
- 53:26Speaker 1: I'm just saying from, you know. She's just been around.
- 53:28Speaker 1: She's been around. Thank you.
- 53:31Speaker 4: I got you. Yeah.
- 53:32Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 53:33Speaker 4: I made you go into that.
- 53:34Speaker 1: Yeah, that's okay.
- 53:36Speaker 11: Hugh Grant is 66.
- 53:38Speaker 14: Wow.
- 53:38Speaker 1: No kidding. Okay. Adam Sandler is 60. Okay. Supermodel Rachel Hunter. Oh,
- 53:48Speaker 1: how old is Michael Buble?
- 53:50Speaker 11: He is 51.
- 53:52Speaker 1: I thought he was older than that. Rachel Hunter is 57.
