- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring
- 0:20some joy into the world. So welcome to the coop and let's
- 0:23start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:27Hey, everybody. Good morning.
- 0:30Many years ago I was in a store called the Christmas Tree Shop.
- 0:34They're no longer open. It was a New England thing and
- 0:38it was one of my favorite places.
- 0:40It they kind of had all of these eclectic things that they would
- 0:44carry based on a just a bunch of different, you know, they would
- 0:51buy stuff from oversold stuff. And it was, it was kind of like
- 0:54going to a flea market, but it was an actual store.
- 0:57And inside this store, I was lucky enough to find 2 bowls for
- 1:04feeding the dogs. One said water inside of it and
- 1:07one said food inside of it. And there were big white bowls
- 1:11and I loved them. And they, they, they were heavy
- 1:14so that, you know, the dog couldn't flip them over.
- 1:16And I actually, at the time that I got these bowls, we had an
- 1:20American bulldog named Bishop and a small Chihuahua named
- 1:25Buddha and a dog, a mix Pitbull boxer mix named Chloe.
- 1:31And Chloe actually came with Mark.
- 1:35When I met Mark, Chloe came with Mark.
- 1:38And I was obsessed with Chloe. I loved her.
- 1:40She was like one of the sweetest animals you could ever imagine.
- 1:43And I just adored her. And then, you know, we added
- 1:47Bishop and then we added Buddha. So we had three dogs.
- 1:50And so I would free feed at that time.
- 1:53So I needed a big bowl and I got these.
- 1:55And it was, it was a very special time in my life.
- 1:59I hadn't had a dog in quite a few years.
- 2:02And when I met Chloe, she had a massive impact.
- 2:06Then we got Bishop and he had a massive impact.
- 2:10And they just, and Buddha, same thing all just they all had very
- 2:15special, special impact. So I get these bowls one day and
- 2:18they're inexpensive. They're not, they're not grand
- 2:21bowls. Let me be very clear about this,
- 2:23but they're nice bowls and I keep them for years and years
- 2:28and years. I have these bowls and then one
- 2:31day years later here at the house I'm in now, way after
- 2:37these dogs have passed away, I drop one of the the bowls that
- 2:42the bowl that says food inside of it.
- 2:43I drop it just the right way in the sink and it splits into 3
- 2:48chunks. And I panicked.
- 2:51I was like no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 2:53I love this bowl. I have to, I have to fix this
- 2:56bowl. And my son looked at me and he's
- 2:59like, mom, you can get a different bowl.
- 3:00And I was like, yes, I can get a different bowl, but I don't want
- 3:03to get a different bowl. I want to fix this bowl.
- 3:06So I take out my glue and I try gluing it with like regular
- 3:10super glue and nothing happens. It's not sticking well, maybe
- 3:14because of the type of ceramic. So I'm like, no, I'm not getting
- 3:17rid of it. I'm not getting rid of these
- 3:18bowls. So I immediately go and to the
- 3:21hardware store and I start looking for something that's
- 3:24going to be able to like stick to ceramic.
- 3:27And I find this Gorilla gloom that's like gel, which on a side
- 3:32note, you don't want to get on your fingers because your
- 3:34fingers will stick together. And yes, that happened.
- 3:36And yes, I looked like I was, I was panicked because my fingers
- 3:40were stuck together. But that's not the first time
- 3:43that's happened. However, I get the bowl and I
- 3:46stick it back together and my son is asking me about it and
- 3:50says, why is it that we can't just get rid of this bowl?
- 3:54And I said, I don't know. I I just don't want to get rid
- 3:57of it. And I didn't really know at that
- 4:01moment, but I knew I didn't want to get rid of it.
- 4:03Well, pass time passes by. Time passes by and I'm still
- 4:08like always thinking about this bowl.
- 4:11And the other day I was washing the bowl and all of a sudden I
- 4:15had this thing that popped right into my head that was very clear
- 4:20and very distinct. And it was this bowl just
- 4:23represents all the dogs that have been here, all the dogs
- 4:26that have lived in this with you in your life in this lifetime.
- 4:31All these dogs have passed through and you have you have
- 4:36them like, you know, represented in this bowl.
- 4:39I mean, now I have Lucy and I have Beaufort and I had those
- 4:45and I'm like, Oh my gosh, it represents their lives.
- 4:48It represents me caring for them.
- 4:51And it's just a silly bowl. I mean, it's, it's just a bowl,
- 4:54my friends, but it's what it represents.
- 4:57So sometimes. And I'm still using the same
- 5:00bowl with the glue and I'm not getting rid of it.
- 5:03And if it broke open again, I'd go get the glue and I'd fix it
- 5:06again. Fortunately, it wasn't the water
- 5:08bowl because we know it would leak, but the food bowl is
- 5:11perfectly fine. And the thing that I love about
- 5:14recognizing this, even after all this time, and my point of
- 5:17telling you this is sometimes you won't know things and you
- 5:21don't need to know the why. You don't need to know the why.
- 5:24You just need to know the feeling that you're getting.
- 5:28And that's what this is about. So I hope you guys recognize
- 5:32that and tap into it because it's important for your mental
- 5:35health to say I don't need to know, but I just know I'm not
- 5:38ready to do that. OK, great.
- 5:40And then you move on and I'm still going to keep my bowl.
- 5:44All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I
- 5:46will see you tomorrow. Bye.
