- 0:13Speaker 1: Hi, everyone.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Welcome to week two of Mic Drop Comedy's podcast, The
- 0:17Speaker 2: Plano Edition.
- 0:18Speaker 1: I'm Camille Waters, your host. And this week, I brought
- 0:23Speaker 1: you my friend, Callie Scott.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Hi.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Normally, these podcasts will be separate, but she won't stay
- 0:29Speaker 1: away from me.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I basically will go to her house with her.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Yes, but I have a two-bedroom, so that's fine. Well,
- 0:37Speaker 2: we'll start off with some get-to-know-you questions. Callie, what can
- 0:41Speaker 2: you tell us about yourself?
- 0:43Speaker 3: Oh, to get to know me, I am a multi-hyphenate person,
- 0:51Speaker 3: and I love my family.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Oh, now let's get to the deep stuff. No, I'm
- 0:56Speaker 1: just kidding. I'm just kidding.
- 0:58Speaker 2: What would you say besides comedy is like one of
- 1:01Speaker 2: your favorite hobbies?
- 1:03Speaker 1: Oh, wow. Like non-entertainment stuff?
- 1:08Speaker 2: Non-professional entertainment stuff. Like amateur entertainment, like karaoke, things like that.
- 1:14Speaker 1: That's yourself. She just found a way to plug the
- 1:17Speaker 1: fact that she loves karaoke. That's crazy. And she loves
- 1:20Speaker 1: doing it with me. So acting like I don't. I
- 1:23Speaker 1: do not. Oh, I recently learned that I like bowling.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I'm changing up the way that I bowl now.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Instead of going like this, like a kid, I do
- 1:35Speaker 3: the ugh, like the boy.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Put a little spin on it? Yes!
- 1:38Speaker 2: Put a little spin on that thing.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Don't ask me on no date to go bowling because
- 1:44Speaker 1: I'm playing win. Right. You're not playing win. It's not
- 1:46Speaker 1: going to be no cute like, oh my gosh, you.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Let me win.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Me neither.
- 1:50Speaker 3: And I'm going to do Unlimited Ballin' because I'm trying
- 1:51Speaker 3: to whoop you again and again.
- 1:56Speaker 1: She got the eye of the tiger, and that's what
- 1:57Speaker 1: I love about my girl. She's got the eye of
- 1:59Speaker 1: the tiger, got the.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Which y'all need to know is that when Camille starts singing,
- 2:09Speaker 3: she's serious.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I know. I'm so serious. What else could you say about.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I feel like you have a lot of, like, non-entertainment talents.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Do you think so?
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I feel like my brain is just always on, like,
- 2:23Speaker 1: entertainment stuff. I serve at my church with hospitality. I
- 2:28Speaker 1: do help out with that.
- 2:30Speaker 3: I'm trying to, like, think, like, man, what do I
- 2:32Speaker 3: really get into? I like to skate. I like to skate.
- 2:36Speaker 3: I don't really get a lot of opportunity to, but
- 2:39Speaker 3: I do like to roller skate. Also, like, to... I
- 2:46Speaker 3: like to read. I do when I get the opportunity to.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Read a little bit. What's your favorite genre of novel?
- 2:55Speaker 1: I know yours is. Don't tell them. Don't tell them.
- 3:01Speaker 2: I'm really into self-help books, but also, but also, I
- 3:06Speaker 2: like to look at a little sci-fi. Yeah, a little sci-fi. Oh,
- 3:10Speaker 2: speaking of sci-fi, what type of shows.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Do you like? I.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Love a zombie show. I love a medical show. A
- 3:20Speaker 3: first responder show. 9-1-1, 9-1-1, the rookie. I like all
- 3:28Speaker 3: of the medical, Grace Anatomy.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Basically, I'm a CNA.
- 3:32Speaker 2: I would say a doctor, but I didn't go through
- 3:34Speaker 2: my residency program yet. But basically, if anything went down
- 3:38Speaker 2: right now, she just started choking, I could put a
- 3:40Speaker 2: trachea in her throat with a straw and a spoon.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I got it. I'm certified.
- 3:46Speaker 3: I watch enough medical dramas that I could do some things.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Don't let nothing go down. I'm a responder.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Maybe not the first because I'm scary, but the second responder.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Now, you a guest on my show, so I'm going
- 3:58Speaker 2: to let you have that. Today, as a guest, as
- 4:02Speaker 2: guest rules, I'm going to let you have CMA. I've
- 4:05Speaker 2: watched 23 seasons of Grey's Anatomy. If you don't think
- 4:08Speaker 2: that I've pulled up and got some kind of medical knowledge,
- 4:12Speaker 2: I for sure know more than.
- 4:13Speaker 1: The average Joe. I'll give you that. I'll give you that.
- 4:17Speaker 1: And the thing is, because you're not average. Because you're
- 4:20Speaker 1: that girl. You need something?
- 4:22Speaker 2: Right. How's your veins? Don't touch my veins. We've gone
- 4:27Speaker 2: too far. Stay away from my veins, please.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Thank you. The medical knowledge is a.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Move yourself in my veins, Ashley. This is why this
- 4:37Speaker 2: podcast is normally in separate spaces. She needs to be
- 4:42Speaker 2: at her house because she's touching.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Veins and we're not. I just want you to know
- 4:48Speaker 1: you're in good hands. Okay. As a gracious host, I'll
- 4:53Speaker 1: accept that. Yeah. I'll accept that as well. You got
- 4:56Speaker 1: a mercy kick in here? I do. Well, I know
- 4:58Speaker 1: how to use it. Okay. All the things. I know
- 5:01Speaker 1: the words.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Gauze.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Ace bandage. I know the words. Gauze. Ace bandage. I
- 5:12Speaker 1: don't even think ace bandage is the medical term.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure there's a medical term for an ace bandage.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Okay. Don't embarrass me in front of my friends. You're right.
- 5:22Speaker 3: You're right.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Ace bandage, right in the book. Just on the thing. Yeah.
- 5:27Speaker 1: On the label. I think that's a civilian term.
- 5:29Speaker 2: I don't think doctors are walking around saying, nurse, give
- 5:32Speaker 2: me three cc's of an ace bandage.
- 5:34Speaker 1: First of all, that's not where you get your cc's at.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Let me get three cc's of an ace bandage. Dr.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Cal.
- 5:41Speaker 1: You know what, Croner? I would, you'd be in my
- 5:47Speaker 1: hospital and I'd save you. I'd listen to your ventricles.
- 5:51Speaker 1: And your bronchioles. Ventricles. And I'd be listening.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Okay.
- 5:54Speaker 1: It's crackling in your ventricles.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Yes, and.
- 5:58Speaker 1: You know what?
- 5:58Speaker 2: I'm going to just yes, and your whole triage.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I mean, I trust it. I trust it. I could
- 6:05Speaker 1: just split. I've seen you do some pretty fantastic things.
- 6:09Speaker 1: So I am. I'm full of so much random knowledge.
- 6:13Speaker 1: That is true. That's 100% true. That's 100% true. Oh,
- 6:15Speaker 1: and I love the ocean.
- 6:15Speaker 2: You are.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Need to know that. Wow.
- 6:22Speaker 2: It took us longer than I thought to get to
- 6:24Speaker 2: the ocean. That should have been number one. It's raining,
- 6:26Speaker 2: so I didn't even think about the ocean. It's basically
- 6:28Speaker 2: the ocean's outside right now. It's LA.
- 6:31Speaker 1: The whole city is flooded. Right. Hence, we doing a
- 6:34Speaker 1: podcast in the house with each other.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:36Speaker 1: The whole city. You could swim.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I had to swim to drive my daughter to school.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I almost swam to get here. You were like, where
- 6:43Speaker 1: are you? I was like, girl, in the boat. Me
- 6:46Speaker 1: and Noah trying to make our way right now. Waving
- 6:50Speaker 1: at the dock of the bay. So I know some
- 6:54Speaker 1: of those words. I know some of those words. So ocean.
- 7:02Speaker 1: So we like the ocean. Yeah, I love marine life.
- 7:05Speaker 1: If you could be one sea creature, what would you be?
- 7:11Speaker 1: One of them. Just one? Part of their world. I
- 7:16Speaker 1: would be a seahorse.
- 7:19Speaker 2: A male seahorse or a female seahorse?
- 7:21Speaker 1: A lady seahorse. Yes. And then because she don't have
- 7:23Speaker 1: the baby? Yeah. And that is what we call... Equality. Yeah.
- 7:29Speaker 1: She's literally like... She turns into a baby daddy. She's like,
- 7:33Speaker 1: you hold these babies. I'm going back outside. And I
- 7:37Speaker 1: love that for her. Period seahorse mama.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I went to the aquarium when we were doing a
- 7:43Speaker 3: comedy camp in Phoenix.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And.
- 7:47Speaker 1: How much fun was that? I... Had a ball.
- 7:50Speaker 3: The only problem was that they didn't have any seahorses
- 7:53Speaker 3: on display. And they didn't have any in the back
- 7:56Speaker 3: because I talked to somebody and I was going to
- 7:57Speaker 3: get like a special tour if they had them.
- 7:59Speaker 1: But you thought they had them in stock. In the
- 8:03Speaker 1: back when they signed on. Sometimes not all the animals
- 8:06Speaker 1: are on the display. So sometimes they have them like
- 8:09Speaker 1: in the triage. For real?
- 8:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:12Speaker 1: See? You know a lot of them.
- 8:13Speaker 2: This girl.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Full of surprises.
- 8:18Speaker 2: I didn't even know you could ask to see separate animals.
- 8:24Speaker 2: These aren't the animals that I want. I want the
- 8:26Speaker 2: animals in the back. I want the secret menu animals.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Listen, I love a VIP experience. You never know what
- 8:32Speaker 1: you can have until you ask.
- 8:34Speaker 2: You never know what you can have until you ask.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Holy scots. But they were off-site. They were off-site and
- 8:41Speaker 1: they weren't there.
- 8:42Speaker 3: But I did get to sit down with a marine
- 8:44Speaker 3: biologist and we got to talk about the life cycle
- 8:47Speaker 3: of seahorses and how they keep them when they are
- 8:52Speaker 3: on site and how they pick what kind of species
- 8:55Speaker 3: they like and the different ones they've had at that facility.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Also, I could raise a seahorse. Okay.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Sure.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Raise a seahorse?
- 9:08Speaker 3: Yes.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Okay.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I feel like they seem to... Do that on their own. Like,
- 9:14Speaker 2: I don't think they, do they need like a bomb
- 9:16Speaker 2: or something like that?
- 9:17Speaker 1: They are very delicate. The ecosystem has to be like perfect. Oh,
- 9:22Speaker 1: you could house a seahorse. What do you mean? You
- 9:25Speaker 1: raise a dog? Okay. Dogs raise themselves. You don't need
- 9:28Speaker 1: to raise a dog. You gotta feed your seahorses. I
- 9:31Speaker 1: got it.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Okay.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Make sure the tip is good. The selenium is right
- 9:36Speaker 1: in the water. Selenium. See, you smart.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Don't tell nobody I'm smart. No, I said, we telling America. America,
- 9:43Speaker 2: this a smart cookie right here.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Oh, my grandma used to call me a smart cookie.
- 9:48Speaker 1: That's how she was.
- 9:49Speaker 2: That's how she love you real bad. But yeah, you
- 9:53Speaker 2: smart with your little secret backdoor aquariums and little secret
- 9:57Speaker 2: menu aquariums.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Let me get a backstage pass to the fish.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Let me get a backstage pass to the fish.
- 10:05Speaker 1: And they got them back there. I did not know. Okay.
- 10:08Speaker 2: We are going to try not to overreact this up.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Because we got to go on to the next section.
- 10:14Speaker 1: We're locked in. Carlos, do we take a break or
- 10:17Speaker 1: we just.
- 10:19Speaker 1: You just go ahead.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Just go right into the questions and then I'll set
- 10:23Speaker 3: up the scoreboard.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Okay. Is this the good to know part? Yeah. This
- 10:27Speaker 1: is the good to know part. Okay. Let's see. And display.
- 10:33Speaker 1: There you go. All right.
- 10:35Speaker 2: This is pop quiz time. Bet you didn't know there
- 10:38Speaker 2: was a pop quiz. Good to know. Good to know.
- 10:41Speaker 1: You bet you didn't know there was a pop quiz.
- 10:44Speaker 1: You didn't say any of this. And we're keeping score.
- 10:48Speaker 1: It sounds like it's not a pop quiz. I bet
- 10:50Speaker 1: you didn't know there was a pop quiz. I bet
- 10:52Speaker 1: you didn't know there was a pop quiz. There's a quiz.
- 10:55Speaker 1: I bet you.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Didn't know there was a pop quiz.
- 11:00Speaker 1: You're basically a little jingle. You're like a... Oh, back
- 11:04Speaker 1: in the day when they had the jingle ladies?
- 11:07Speaker 2: I would have killed it.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Talk about paid. Talk about paid in the shade. I
- 11:14Speaker 1: would have been... Living life. But anyway, I digress. But
- 11:19Speaker 1: they're bringing them back. You see that? I did. That Pepsi.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Right.
- 11:23Speaker 2: It's good and nice.
- 11:28Speaker 1: We could be on a yacht right now with the podcast.
- 11:30Speaker 1: You're right.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Right after this, I'm going to go write some 10
- 11:34Speaker 2: jingles a day.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Thank you. Until I make two million. Please. It's going
- 11:38Speaker 1: to get weird. Okay. Bet you didn't know there was
- 11:41Speaker 1: a pop quiz. Let's do it. All right, question number one.
- 11:46Speaker 1: What's the fourth number in pi?
- 11:52Speaker 3: Six.
- 11:55Speaker 2: No.
- 11:58Speaker 1: It's one. Five. Okay. I'll accept it. I'll accept it.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Okay question number two how many ounces in a pound
- 12:21Speaker 2: how many ounces in a pound.
- 12:22Speaker 4: Uh 12 oh close 16 that's not close 16 is
- 12:29Speaker 4: close to 12 it's not what you said like 42
- 12:31Speaker 4: if somebody owes you 16 and they give you 12.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I was trying to help you feel better about your
- 12:38Speaker 1: wrong answer. But sure. But sure. Walk me down, girl.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Walk me down. Number three.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Name three artists that have performed at the Super Bowl. Ooh.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Bad Bunny. Oh, ooh. Please be a baby to rap.
- 12:57Speaker 1: We know Mars. Beyonce and them. You know what? You
- 13:04Speaker 1: did that. That was a good question. That was a
- 13:05Speaker 1: good job. I would have also accepted Usher. I loved
- 13:10Speaker 1: Usher's Super Bowl performance. That was my favorite one of recently.
- 13:13Speaker 2: He had a bedazzled jacket on with a chest built
- 13:17Speaker 2: into the jacket.
- 13:18Speaker 3: I would just like for us to admit that the
- 13:20Speaker 3: Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson fiasco was planned because how
- 13:24Speaker 3: did she just happen to have on a sparkly bedazzled
- 13:27Speaker 3: on her nipple.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Right, that's not an everyday nipple situation. That was a
- 13:31Speaker 1: specific nipple. And if it is her everyday nipple, I'm
- 13:34Speaker 1: not living right.
- 13:35Speaker 2: But also, she is Janet Jackson, so that could be
- 13:38Speaker 2: an everyday nipple for Janet Jackson.
- 13:40Speaker 1: That's an everyday nipple cinch for Janet. That's so much money.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Miss Jackson, if you're nasty, that might be an everyday nipple.
- 13:46Speaker 1: I'm not going to hold you. That could be a just...
- 13:48Speaker 1: She was like, lucky I had my good nipple on today.
- 13:51Speaker 2: That's America's song.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Lucky I had the good one on today. All right.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Question number four. Who is on the $ 2 bill? Andrew Jackson. Oof.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Confident and wrong. Dang.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Dang.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Wrong. I like Dwight Sennett, though. I like Dwight Sennett.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Abraham Lincoln. No. Hey, who is next? Andrew Jackson. Who
- 14:19Speaker 1: is next? Thomas Jefferson.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Confidence gets you a lot of places in life it's
- 14:31Speaker 2: not going to let you win this though it's not
- 14:33Speaker 2: going to.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Get you here but it'll get you somewhere it'll get
- 14:36Speaker 1: you far girl it'll get you far What instrument does
- 14:43Speaker 1: Animal play from the Muppets?
- 14:45Speaker 3: The drums!
- 14:46Speaker 1: Gosh! I love Animals.
- 14:48Speaker 4: The drums! The drums!
- 14:51Speaker 1: That was almost like I wrote that question.
- 14:54Speaker 3: I love Animals so bad.
- 14:57Speaker 1: The drums! I'm going to order an Animal to start
- 14:59Speaker 1: commands on it. The drums! He's so cool. He is cool.
- 15:04Speaker 1: And I've always wanted to play the drums, so I'm
- 15:06Speaker 1: a little jealous.
- 15:07Speaker 3: He does, like, a whole entire, like, episode where he does, like,
- 15:10Speaker 3: he does wipe out, like, the.
- 15:14Speaker 2: And he's playing the drums, and I'll be honest with you,
- 15:16Speaker 2: I don't think there's that much drums in the song.
- 15:17Speaker 1: But he's doing it, and I love it. Okay. Well,
- 15:22Speaker 1: new love unlocked. We love it.
- 15:24Speaker 4: I'm full of random facts.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Random facts. Love you all! You was ready for this part, please, Lowkey.
- 15:33Speaker 1: All right. Where is the Mona Lisa located? You got
- 15:37Speaker 1: to name the museum. And this is right up your alley.
- 15:40Speaker 1: It's in the Louvre in Paris. Paris? Girl, you smart.
- 15:48Speaker 1: That girl good. That girl good. She's smart and beautiful.
- 15:54Speaker 1: That girl good.
- 15:56Speaker 2: She got backstage passes to the aquarium. What can you
- 15:59Speaker 2: not do with Callie Scott? And let me tell you
- 16:01Speaker 2: not too much. You can't do not too much with
- 16:04Speaker 2: her because that girl good.
- 16:07Speaker 1: The Louvre in Paris, you said it right, too, because
- 16:08Speaker 1: it's spelled funny. Oh, I've never read it. That's why.
- 16:12Speaker 1: I've never read it. You're so funny. You should be
- 16:22Speaker 1: a comic. You should do comedy, girl. You should do it.
- 16:27Speaker 1: All right, question number seven. Who invented the telephone? Oh, damn.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I feel like I want to say....
- 16:35Speaker 3: That it was Thomas Jefferson, but I feel like it's not.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Thomas Jefferson is the light bulb. Thomas Edison? No, that's
- 16:43Speaker 1: the power guy. That's electricity. Thomas be doing stuff.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Right.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Thomas be getting stuff done. Good magic.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Keep naming old white maiden names because we're going to
- 16:51Speaker 2: get there.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Is it someone who I named before? No, because you
- 16:55Speaker 1: just gave me two Thomases. Dang. I said Andrew earlier.
- 16:59Speaker 1: What did you say? I said Andrew Jackson for the... Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. No,
- 17:02Speaker 1: it's not Andrew Jackson. Okay.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Um.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Somebody Carver. John Washington Carver? No, that's Peanuts. At this point,
- 17:13Speaker 1: I'm not a scientist.
- 17:14Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 17:14Speaker 1: That's fine.
- 17:15Speaker 2: You already named a good amount of them and I'm
- 17:17Speaker 2: proud of you.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Okay.
- 17:19Speaker 2: But I still got this one. If this was an
- 17:21Speaker 2: emotional support pop quiz, I would win. All of my
- 17:26Speaker 2: pop quizzes.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Got a little layer of emotional support. They always gonna
- 17:29Speaker 1: have a little bit. Don't feel too bad. Because pop quizzes...
- 17:34Speaker 1: I would have did good if you had on one
- 17:35Speaker 1: of your teachery sweaters, you know?
- 17:37Speaker 3: This is a pretty teacher sweater. Yeah, but you usually
- 17:39Speaker 3: got the fun ones on. It got, like, hearts and, like,
- 17:41Speaker 3: teddy bears and kiwis.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Well, so did for next time. I don't got no
- 17:45Speaker 1: kiwi sweater. You need one.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Fair. All right. What is the name of Dave Chappelle's
