- 0:20days a year. We hope you enjoyed this message. Two billionaire friends meet
- 0:31after a casual conversation. One of them finally asks, so, how is
- 0:36your home life? The other answers, couldn't be better? I bought an
- 0:41elephant. The other guy looks at him, astonished an elephant? Have you
- 0:46gone mad? The guy responds, smiling, Oh man, let me tell
- 0:53you it's the best purchase in my life. He's grazing on the lawn,
- 0:58making it nice, and even the kids love him, always riding his back
- 1:03and sliding down his trunk, keeps them outside instead of in front of a
- 1:08screen all day. My wife loves him too. He's super strong, helps
- 1:14her with moving things around when I'm not home. And let me tell you,
- 1:19the best thing is he's kind and smart, the best pet I've ever
- 1:25had. The other billionaire scratches his chin. Yeah, that sounds kind of
- 1:32amazing. Actually, how much did you pay for him. The guy replies,
- 1:37a million bucks worth every penny. It's a steal at this price.
- 1:44The other billionaire says, sell him to me for two million. No,
- 1:49what are you saying? Sell him? He's like family to us. Okay,
- 1:55i'll give you three million. I don't know, man, you can't
- 2:00put a price on that kind of friendship and usefulness. All right, all
- 2:04right, I'll give you five million. Five million. Well, okay,
- 2:10man, I'll sell him to you, but only because we're friends. In
- 2:16a few weeks, the two billionaires meet up again. The guy who bought
- 2:22the elephant is angry as heck. As soon as he sees the other guy,
- 2:27he starts yelling, what the heck did you sell me? Not only
- 2:31does he not graze the lawn, he's completely destroyed all my greenery and trees.
- 2:38There's elephant dung everywhere. It smells, even inside the house. And
- 2:45what about the kids? They are terrified at the they it's aggressive and massive
- 2:51and scary. I can't sleep because it trumpets all the time. My wife
- 2:55has been having nightmares, and now I won't hear the end of her bickering
- 3:00until I die. It's awful, worst purchase of my life. The other
- 3:07billionaire looks at him and says, well, man, I don't know what
- 3:12to say. With that kind of attitude, you'll never sell an elephant.
- 3:28One of the things that conceal happiness is comparison. When we compare ourselves to
- 3:35others, we lose ground. It's like the runner of the race who is
- 3:38winning until he or she becomes distracted and looks back at where the competition is.
- 3:46We will talk about this in this week's episode of Positively three sixty five,
- 3:51but first we have our trivia question of the day. Are you ready

- 4:06the answer when we come back. Do you enjoy listening to this podcast?

- 5:20The question was Whitney Houston went to the top of the music charts in
- 5:27nineteen ninety two by singing what Dolly Parton song? The answer I will always
- 5:33love you? Now you know. Theodore Roosevelt once said, comparison is the
- 5:50thief of joy. Who do you most frequently compare yourself to? If you're
- 5:58not sure this question, who have you compared yourself to in the last twenty
- 6:03four hours. If you're still not sure, think of the last time you
- 6:09checked your Facebook or Instagram feed. Which updates made you feel envious or made
- 6:16you feel as if your life paled in comparison? In turn, did any
- 6:21posts make you feel smug or better than another person? The comparison game is
- 6:30as old as humanity itself. An elephant and a dog became pregnant at the
- 6:46same time. Three months down the line, the dog gave birth to six
- 6:51puppies. Six months later, the dog was pregnant again, and nine months
- 6:59on it gave birth to another dozen puppies. The pattern continued. On the
- 7:04eighteenth month, the dog approached the elephant, questioning, are you sure that
- 7:10you are pregnant? We became pregnant on the same date. I have given
- 7:15birth three times to a dozen puppies, and they are now grown to become
- 7:19big dogs. Yet you are still pregnant. What's going on? The elephant
- 7:27replied, there is something I want you to understand. What I am carrying
- 7:31is not a puppy, but an elephant. I only give birth to one
- 7:36in two years. When my baby hits the ground, the earth feels it.
- 7:43When my baby crosses the road, human beings stop and watch in admiration.
- 7:49What I carry draws attention. So what I am carrying is mighty and
- 7:56great. The lesson here for us is clear. Don't lose faith when you
- 8:03see others receive answers to their prayers. Don't be envious of others if you
- 8:09haven't received your own blessings. Don't despare. Say to yourself, my time
- 8:16is coming, and when it hits the surface of the earth, people shall
- 8:20yield in admiration. Thank you for joining us today. Please consider taking a
