- 0:07Speaker 1: us right now, Sally got Scottie Brown, Air Kratz and
- 0:10Speaker 1: Todd Father Sal Great to have you on the show.
- 0:14Speaker 1: First ball and welcome to the show. Has the first
- 0:16Speaker 1: couple of weeks going for you?
- 0:18Speaker 2: Good good, Thank you guys for having me. By the way,
- 0:20Speaker 2: it's awesome. Thank you.
- 0:22Speaker 3: It's been pretty great, honestly. Finally, a couple of days ago,
- 0:25Speaker 3: I finally kind of relaxed a second and realized that
- 0:28Speaker 3: it was kind of like a reality. But it's been great, honestly.
- 0:32Speaker 3: The guys in the clubhouse have been awesome with me,
- 0:34Speaker 3: so and it's exciting. We're making a playoff push so
- 0:38Speaker 3: right where right where we want to be?
- 0:40Speaker 4: All right, So you're comfortable?
- 0:42Speaker 5: Now, does that mean you're sitting on the couches because
- 0:44Speaker 5: I didn't sit on the couch so I retired.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Oh no, I know the rules. I faced my locker
- 0:50Speaker 3: and I sit in my chair, So I know the rules.
- 0:53Speaker 4: Does anybody give you a hard time?
- 0:55Speaker 5: What I was talking about was the fact that rookies
- 0:58Speaker 5: normally are not supposed to sit on the couch feel comfortable,
- 1:00Speaker 5: and when a dude feels comfortable. I mean I was,
- 1:03Speaker 5: I was guilty of this. Dude feels God. Rookie comes up,
- 1:07Speaker 5: I'm like, oh, I'll roll I'll roll something over for
- 1:10Speaker 5: him to put their feet up on, and I'll be like, hey,
- 1:12Speaker 5: do you want Peterborough jelly?
- 1:13Speaker 4: What what do you want? And deliver it to them.
- 1:16Speaker 4: But has anybody giving you a hard time?
- 1:20Speaker 6: Nah?
- 1:20Speaker 2: Na, if it is, it's just allid jokes and stuff.
- 1:23Speaker 2: But sure, nah, it's still a great It's sen a
- 1:26Speaker 2: great time. And I'm all for that too.
- 1:28Speaker 3: I mean, I got you got to earn your stripes
- 1:30Speaker 3: when when you make I mean anything you did in
- 1:32Speaker 3: the minor leagues that's kind of just in the in
- 1:34Speaker 3: the past now and uh now it's kind of just
- 1:37Speaker 3: you got. I gotta re earn everything I've I've kind
- 1:40Speaker 3: of built.
- 1:41Speaker 2: So I love it. I kind of love that aspect
- 1:44Speaker 2: of it. And I got to earn what I have.
- 1:45Speaker 3: All these guys have been in the league and they're
- 1:48Speaker 3: not gonna let just a young guy come in here
- 1:50Speaker 3: and get comfortable.
- 1:51Speaker 2: So I like it for sure.
- 1:54Speaker 6: Who have you like kind of flocked to a little
- 1:56Speaker 6: bit on this ball club? And you know, a veteran guy,
- 1:59Speaker 6: or there's somebody who you know who's your locker mats, Like,
- 2:02Speaker 6: is there somebody that you know, your conversations with that
- 2:05Speaker 6: you kind of lean on a little bit for a
- 2:06Speaker 6: little help as you move forward.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, honestly, Steve has been great with me.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Trevy's been great, Austin Hayes, Ellie is great, Espina. I mean,
- 2:17Speaker 3: I can go on and on. Honestly, They've everyone's kind
- 2:20Speaker 3: of like kind of looked out for me. But we
- 2:22Speaker 3: were doing stuff in spring training and kind of Steve
- 2:25Speaker 3: O had picked me for his group for.
- 2:27Speaker 2: One of the Young Buck things that we do, So he's.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Been great with me. But nah, honestly, I mean they've
- 2:32Speaker 3: all been great with me. I can really kind of
- 2:34Speaker 3: lean on anyone and they'll guide me in the right direction.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Nick he's from Miami.
- 2:39Speaker 2: He takes care of me. So honestly, man, I can
- 2:41Speaker 2: go on and on.
- 2:42Speaker 4: For sure.
- 2:43Speaker 6: You're talking about Martinez. He's a base but I play
- 2:46Speaker 6: with him in the Olympics. We had a good time.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Yeah. Have you been out and about in Cincinnati yet?
- 2:52Speaker 6: Have you gone any good restaurants or anything yet?
- 2:54Speaker 2: Maybe Jeff Rupert, Yeah, Yeah, Ruby's Ruby. That place is awesome. Honestly,
- 3:00Speaker 2: I'm a fan favorite for sure.
- 3:02Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean I kind of I haven't really
- 3:05Speaker 3: been here too long, and I've had family, so I've
- 3:07Speaker 3: kind of been with them. But maybe when I head back,
- 3:09Speaker 3: when we get back home, I'll kind of look out
- 3:11Speaker 3: for some places.
- 3:12Speaker 2: But I don't really do much, honestly.
- 3:13Speaker 3: I kind of just go to the field and then
- 3:15Speaker 3: go back home and get ready for the next day.
- 3:17Speaker 2: So I don't really do too much, all right.
- 3:20Speaker 5: So I'm not sure how this is gonna go. So
- 3:23Speaker 5: I'm gonna call for a video of your home run
- 3:25Speaker 5: to center field in San Diego. I'm not sure who
- 3:28Speaker 5: you hit it against. And as we watch the home run,
- 3:33Speaker 5: tell me what you the motion because I saw this
- 3:35Speaker 5: when I was watching the game. Tell me it leaned
- 3:38Speaker 5: back on. Oh he did, But tell me, tell me,
- 3:41Speaker 5: tell me what happens right.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Here? Were you?
- 3:46Speaker 5: Were you showing your boy Manny, what you've been, what
- 3:49Speaker 5: you've been showing off ever since you've been on FT
- 3:52Speaker 5: for about three minutes?
- 3:53Speaker 4: Here were you showing them? Were you showing them the
- 3:55Speaker 4: rolex that he bought you?
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 3:58Speaker 3: So, Manny, honestly, he's literally my big brother. I talked
- 4:01Speaker 3: to him literally every day. He's he's helped me every
- 4:06Speaker 3: step of the way. I wouldn't be here in this
- 4:08Speaker 3: position without him. He's changed my life, his family. Yeah,
- 4:13Speaker 3: and we had a little story. I mean, I mean
- 4:15Speaker 3: a lot of people know about the story already, but
- 4:17Speaker 3: kind of He had told me, look, you're in the
- 4:19Speaker 3: minor leagues. When you make it, don't worry about the Rolex.
- 4:22Speaker 3: I'm gonna get you one. And the first day I
- 4:24Speaker 3: got to San Diego, he said, hey, you think I forgot, Like.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I definitely didn't forget, and then yeah, got me this.
- 4:31Speaker 3: So I thought it was just a I thought it'd
- 4:34Speaker 3: be funny if when I passed by, I let him know, like, hey,
- 4:36Speaker 3: I still rock the chador, you know. But yeah, he's
- 4:40Speaker 3: he's he's family to me, literally, like he is a
- 4:44Speaker 3: brother to me. And I just thought it'd be kind
- 4:46Speaker 3: of funny, you know, around in the bases, and he
- 4:49Speaker 3: thought it was hilarious.
- 4:50Speaker 2: So it was a good time. Something I will never
- 4:51Speaker 2: forget for sure.
- 4:52Speaker 4: That's big.
- 4:53Speaker 5: That's big league awareness by you to be going around
- 4:56Speaker 5: to hit a dinger off of Michael King dead center
- 4:58Speaker 5: and then you're going around second basically look at Manny like, yeah,
- 5:02Speaker 5: I appreciate, I appreciate you making me feel comfortable. But man,
- 5:05Speaker 5: he's got man, he's got kind of a bad rep
- 5:07Speaker 5: sometimes some of the stuff he's done. Can you tell
- 5:10Speaker 5: us something that would make us not think that or
- 5:15Speaker 5: make us like whoa many does that? Because gifted a
- 5:19Speaker 5: dude who's really not like your connection just goes back
- 5:23Speaker 5: a long ways. But gifted a dude a Rolex for
- 5:25Speaker 5: when he makes the big leagues, that's big time. So
- 5:28Speaker 5: tell us something about Manny that maybe people don't know.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, honestly, if if you feel like that's
- 5:35Speaker 3: a bad rep, that that's something that you need to
- 5:37Speaker 3: look at.
- 5:38Speaker 2: He's an amazing person, an amazing teammate.
- 5:42Speaker 3: He he looks after everybody, and he's someone that when
- 5:45Speaker 3: he does things for people, he doesn't want any recognition.
- 5:48Speaker 3: He doesn't want it, and that's that's when he that's
- 5:50Speaker 3: when he knows someone's a good person. He I mean,
- 5:53Speaker 3: he's he does everything behind the scenes. Look at his foundations.
- 5:57Speaker 3: He's always looking after people. He's a great teammate, locker room.
- 6:01Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know why people would have that
- 6:04Speaker 3: that view.
- 6:05Speaker 2: He's he's I mean he's a leader. Look at what
- 6:08Speaker 2: he's done with the padres.
- 6:09Speaker 3: I mean, I can go on and on. He's such
- 6:11Speaker 3: a great person. He's a great father, he's a great husband,
- 6:14Speaker 3: he's a great friend.
- 6:16Speaker 2: So honestly, for me, he's family to me and he'll
- 6:19Speaker 2: always be family to me.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Time for your weekly Arena Club segment where we see
- 6:25Speaker 1: what AJ pulls from a slab pack and here we
- 6:30Speaker 1: go pull Emerald pack this week. AJ looking for something big.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Always, I'm always looking for the big thing that's big.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Thanks got big money, big money, baby. We've got a
- 6:42Speaker 1: Dave Winfield card from nineteen seventy four to seventy four
- 6:46Speaker 1: tops card from this Emerald pack. Estimated value three hundred bucks.
- 6:51Speaker 1: You could sell it back for two seventy So I
- 6:55Speaker 1: feel like you are into more of the current players.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Would that be accurate?
- 7:00Speaker 4: Like you am?
- 7:00Speaker 1: I sure might have a Robbin you out, I have
- 7:02Speaker 1: a Chrissy Rookie car Oh that's true.
- 7:04Speaker 4: So I mean I have some older vinton'shier players. Bob Gibson.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, you have Gibson.
- 7:08Speaker 5: So I know I disagree Scott, But Dave Winfield for
- 7:12Speaker 5: the amount of money back, I'm reselling.
- 7:14Speaker 1: It and if you want to get your own pack
- 7:16Speaker 1: or new car, and you can get twenty percent off
- 7:18Speaker 1: your first slap pack or card purchase at arenaclub dot com.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Slash foul.
- 7:23Speaker 6: Tell me a little bit about yourself, man, because you
- 7:25Speaker 6: know you new guy comes in. You know, give me
- 7:27Speaker 6: some hobbies. What you like to do in the off season,
- 7:29Speaker 6: you know, talk to us. I know you're a Miami guy.
- 7:32Speaker 6: Yonder lines on my boy many my boys, Well, like
- 7:35Speaker 6: talk a little about you. I know you're a family
- 7:37Speaker 6: guy through and through.
- 7:38Speaker 4: Like give us a little bit man.
- 7:40Speaker 6: What you like to eat, what you like to do,
- 7:41Speaker 6: your hobbies, talk to us, let the people know.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Yeah, honestly, in the off season, I kind of just
- 7:47Speaker 3: get up, I train and that I love football. I
- 7:49Speaker 3: mean I love football. Me and my boys back home,
- 7:52Speaker 3: we love football. So we entered the what we call
- 7:55Speaker 3: the dungeon, which is my boy's house.
- 7:57Speaker 2: He's got a little.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Room with a huge TV. Go into the dungeon. We
- 8:01Speaker 3: order some wings and then kick it, like what guys
- 8:03Speaker 3: like love to do. I mean, sit there, watch some TV,
- 8:07Speaker 3: eat some wings, and then just relax.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Honestly, so I don't do much hang.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Out with my girlfriend, and and yeah, it's pretty much it.
- 8:16Speaker 3: See my girl, hang out with my with my best buddies,
- 8:19Speaker 3: watch football with Manny and Yonder, I mean, watch football
- 8:22Speaker 3: with my dad.
- 8:23Speaker 2: I just kind of spend a lot of family time.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Usually in the season, we have a we have a
- 8:27Speaker 3: lot going on, and we can't really spend a lot
- 8:29Speaker 3: of quality time with the with the people we care about.
- 8:31Speaker 2: So when I'm back home, that's pretty much all I do.
- 8:35Speaker 5: Wait, wait, wait, it's not gonna change. Like, you're not
- 8:37Speaker 5: making eight different plans. You're a big leaguer. I get it.
- 8:40Speaker 5: Your coffee is still a little bit hot, your first
- 8:42Speaker 5: cup of coffee.
- 8:43Speaker 4: But you're a big leaguer. Now, nothing's gonna change. You're
- 8:46Speaker 4: not gonna take like a trip or nothing. You're just
- 8:48Speaker 4: still going into the dungeon and watching football.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't change just because what I like, just
- 8:54Speaker 2: because I made it.
- 8:54Speaker 3: I mean, I haven't done anything. And even if I
- 8:56Speaker 3: do that, I won't change who I am. That's not me.
- 8:59Speaker 2: I go to church and I watch football. It's pretty
- 9:03Speaker 2: much all I do.
- 9:04Speaker 5: All right, Well, what happens if the Reds do this thing,
- 9:07Speaker 5: do this thing that everybody's kind of looking around maybe
- 9:10Speaker 5: some people are hating, but I would assume the feeling
- 9:14Speaker 5: in the clubhouse is like, Hey, we're not making any
- 9:16Speaker 5: plans for October. Do you feel that in this clubhouse.
- 9:20Speaker 5: I know you've never been in a Pennant race in
- 9:22Speaker 5: the big leagues, but tell me what you're hearing from
- 9:25Speaker 5: the boys in and on the team and around the
- 9:28Speaker 5: team right now.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Well, it's kind of understood what the job is, and
- 9:33Speaker 3: the job is to go out there and focus on
- 9:35Speaker 3: ourselves and go and play to win. Honestly, we're not
- 9:38Speaker 3: focused on any other team right now, and that's pretty
- 9:41Speaker 3: much the kind of what we're all doing right now.
- 9:44Speaker 3: We're just like, hey, let's take day by day, let's
- 9:46Speaker 3: go out and win, Let's take care of what we
- 9:47Speaker 3: need to take care of, and then if everything falls
- 9:49Speaker 3: in line, it'll fall in line. But we definitely don't
- 9:52Speaker 3: have plans for October, and we're gonna keep on going
- 9:56Speaker 3: out and playing hard and playing to win.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Sally, I want to ask you you about your game,
- 10:01Speaker 1: and I'll let you handle most of this, but was
- 10:04Speaker 1: there an approach change at some point this season? Because
- 10:08Speaker 1: you know, I follow the prospect world pretty closely. We
- 10:10Speaker 1: have a baseball America Show and you're on some of
- 10:13Speaker 1: the reports there, like look at the pull power coming in.
- 10:16Speaker 1: So can you walk us through what you've changed this
- 10:18Speaker 1: season if anything?
- 10:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean a lot of people were like dying
- 10:24Speaker 3: for like how come he doesn't hit more homers?
- 10:26Speaker 2: How come he doesn't pull the ball? How come he doesn't?
- 10:29Speaker 2: And like that all comes with time. Like when we're.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Back training, we're all focused on being a good hitter first,
- 10:35Speaker 3: being able to hit to all parts of the field,
- 10:37Speaker 3: being able to do what's necessary in the game.
- 10:39Speaker 2: I mean, you don't need a kind of you don't
- 10:41Speaker 2: need a homer in every situation.
- 10:43Speaker 3: There's some situations in the game where obviously a homer
- 10:45Speaker 3: would be great, but to help a team win sometimes
- 10:48Speaker 3: that's not the case. So we were just focused on
- 10:51Speaker 3: being a good hitter first. And then once I got
- 10:54Speaker 3: to like double A and then tripa A, and I
- 10:57Speaker 3: started to.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Realize like, hey, these balls, all I have to do
- 10:59Speaker 2: is just just meet the ball, just touch the.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Ball and they'll take off. Everything kind of settled there
- 11:05Speaker 3: with me and in regards to my power, so I
- 11:07Speaker 3: was never really too much worried about it. I want
- 11:09Speaker 3: to be a good hitter first, and then knowing the
- 11:11Speaker 3: power would come later.
- 11:13Speaker 4: That's an advanced approach to hitting.
- 11:15Speaker 5: If anybody wants to just rewind that and listen to
- 11:17Speaker 5: advanced approach. But I want to ask you, maybe maybe
- 11:20Speaker 5: you don't even know this story, but you know Yonder,
- 11:22Speaker 5: you know many many told Yonder one year when he
- 11:26Speaker 5: was when he was still playing, when Yanner was still playing.
- 11:29Speaker 5: He's like, hey, if you want to hit with me
- 11:30Speaker 5: in the off season, you're gonna have to start hitting
- 11:33Speaker 5: for some power. Because Yonder, this dude had a joystick.
- 11:36Speaker 5: He was just like, oh, whoop, base it up the middle, Whoop,
- 11:38Speaker 5: base it over over the shortstop head. And all of
- 11:41Speaker 5: a sudden, Yonder's putting some balls out of the ballpark.
- 11:45Speaker 5: And Yonder told that story, he said, hey, He's like, man,
- 11:48Speaker 5: he was like, hey, you can't hit with me unless
- 11:50Speaker 5: you start hitting the ball at the bar park. And
- 11:52Speaker 5: then he just turned it on.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Is it that easy? Is it that easy for Miami guys?
- 11:58Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Yonder was such a good player for him and not
- 12:01Speaker 3: have been that easy. But everything I've done was in
- 12:05Speaker 3: the minor league. So maybe next year once, if I
- 12:07Speaker 3: do it in the babies, then we can talk about it,
- 12:09Speaker 3: but me and Yonder had such a great career, and
- 12:13Speaker 3: obviously Manny's great career. But yeah, I mean that's what
- 12:16Speaker 3: we talk about, being a good hitter and then and
- 12:18Speaker 3: then the power will come, and I mean it just shows,
- 12:20Speaker 3: like the power is just like when you hit a homer,
- 12:23Speaker 3: it's kind of a mistake swing, Like I'm trying to
- 12:25Speaker 3: hit a hard line drive through the middle and then
- 12:27Speaker 3: if I just get a little under it, then it
- 12:29Speaker 3: takes off out to center.
- 12:30Speaker 2: So that's pretty much.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Our our, like I guess, our our way of thinking
- 12:37Speaker 3: and what we're trying to do at the plate.
- 12:40Speaker 1: All right, sal were you surprised that you got called
- 12:44Speaker 1: up this season? Like how was it going throughout the year?
- 12:46Speaker 1: Did you think that you were going to get the call?
- 12:48Speaker 1: And obviously you get to get called up to a
- 12:51Speaker 1: team that's in the mix for a playoff spot. And
- 12:54Speaker 1: also on top of that, what was the call up?
- 12:57Speaker 2: Like?
- 12:57Speaker 1: I don't remember. I mean a lot of things get posted.
- 12:59Speaker 1: You might have had one too, I just don't remember.
- 13:01Speaker 1: But was there a good story behind when you found out?
- 13:05Speaker 2: Yeah, in regards to like knowing I was gonna get
- 13:07Speaker 2: caught up, I honestly had no idea.
- 13:09Speaker 3: I'm uh I would. I would pray every night and
- 13:13Speaker 3: just tell Jesus, Jesus, give me just like calmness and
- 13:16Speaker 3: knowing that you're you're timing and your.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Plan is perfect. So I was just in the minor leagues.
- 13:21Speaker 3: I was really trying to focus on any little thing
- 13:23Speaker 3: I could to perfect my game so that when I
- 13:26Speaker 3: get to the big leagues, I can be as ready
- 13:27Speaker 3: as possible. Obviously, nothing can prepare you for the big
- 13:30Speaker 3: leagues because it's in the league of its own. But
- 13:32Speaker 3: I wanted to make sure I did my part and
- 13:35Speaker 3: everything I could so that when I got there, I
- 13:37Speaker 3: was as ready as possible. And yeah, and then in
- 13:40Speaker 3: regards to when I found out, our manager had had
- 13:45Speaker 3: had me read off the off a phone kind of
- 13:47Speaker 3: like in Spanish, saying and he told me I was
- 13:51Speaker 3: going in the big leagues. And then he said, hey,
- 13:52Speaker 3: actually hold on, we have one more thing outside for you.
- 13:55Speaker 3: And then when I had walked outside, uh man, he
- 13:58Speaker 3: was on the on the jumbo tron and on the yeah,
- 14:01Speaker 3: I guess that Jumbo trin and he kind of made
- 14:04Speaker 3: a video for me, just congratulating me and how proud
- 14:07Speaker 3: he was of me. And that he'll see me in
- 14:09Speaker 3: San Diego the next week. So it was a surreal
- 14:12Speaker 3: moment for sure, in one I won't forget.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Wait, Manny did a video for you.
- 14:18Speaker 5: Yeah, as a padre, but you were getting caught up
- 14:23Speaker 5: for the Reds.
- 14:24Speaker 4: That's that's big time. Yeah, that is big time. That
- 14:26Speaker 4: is big time. I get it.
- 14:28Speaker 5: Yeah, Oh I get it. I'm taking I'm gonna take
- 14:31Speaker 5: you back. I'm gonna take you back to high school.
- 14:32Speaker 5: And I'm telling this story as a secondhand. I don't
- 14:36Speaker 5: know if you know. One of the other co hosts
- 14:38Speaker 5: it's on regularly Monday through Thursday, is A. J.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Prazinski. His son Austin Goes went to first academy. Did
- 14:47Speaker 4: I say that right? First academy? I think so.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:50Speaker 5: And they beat you guys your senior year in high school.
- 14:53Speaker 5: AJ wanted to give you a hard time and said
- 14:57Speaker 5: he wanted to say thank you for his son's state
- 15:03Speaker 5: first state title, which they got another one again this year.
- 15:06Speaker 5: But does a loss like that? Does a loss like
- 15:09Speaker 5: that stick with you even though you've accomplished so much.
- 15:13Speaker 5: You know, you're a first rounder, now you're a big leaguer.
- 15:15Speaker 5: Now you guys are in a playoff hunt, does that
- 15:17Speaker 5: loss still sit in there and kind of like scratch
- 15:21Speaker 5: at you a little bit?
- 15:23Speaker 2: Yeah, first academy. I mean, I don't forget, I don't forget.
- 15:25Speaker 2: What's that first academy?
- 15:27Speaker 3: I said, wait, it's not the same first academy I'm
- 15:29Speaker 3: thinking of. But yeah, they they they got us, they
- 15:32Speaker 3: got us, and that it'll halt me too, because I mean,
- 15:35Speaker 3: although like personal accolades are great and all, I mean,
- 15:38Speaker 3: I'm I'm more I'm more focused on like team accolades
- 15:41Speaker 3: and winning a state championship was a dream of mine
- 15:44Speaker 3: and uh I wasn't able to do that, which which
- 15:47Speaker 3: is kind of sad. But I mean, knowing that it
- 15:49Speaker 3: was Praszinski's son that won it, I mean it makes
- 15:51Speaker 3: that a little better.
- 15:52Speaker 2: But he can rag on me. They won, and I
- 15:54Speaker 2: just kind of have to sit here and take it
- 15:55Speaker 2: because we didn't win. So yeah, it kind of hurts
- 15:58Speaker 2: a little bit, but it's all right.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Wow, Yeah, well, yes, Austin did get the championships. Are
- 16:04Speaker 1: he's happy about that. They also have their clubhouse is
- 16:07Speaker 1: basically a big league clubhouse, So it's ridiculous.
- 16:10Speaker 4: I'm sure Westminster's isn't. Isn't not too shabby.
- 16:14Speaker 2: No.
- 16:14Speaker 1: The one other thing he brought up from that time period,
- 16:16Speaker 1: which he was like, what park did you get did
- 16:18Speaker 1: you guys play in?
- 16:19Speaker 4: Like the Twins park in Fort Myers? Are you guys
- 16:21Speaker 4: playing in one of those? Okay?
- 16:23Speaker 2: Yeah, the Twins park.
- 16:24Speaker 4: So he was like, oh, Westminster's home ballpark. I think
- 16:28Speaker 4: you were saying it was small or short? Right? Is
- 16:30Speaker 4: that right? Sound? It was short to right field?
- 16:32Speaker 2: It is short to right field, yes.
- 16:34Speaker 7: Okay, and we had a bigger ballpark. Yeah, we were
- 16:38Speaker 7: playing it. So it was gobbling up these fly balls
- 16:40Speaker 7: from Westminster. So there was like this was like light
- 16:43Speaker 7: trash talk sprinkled in and you know what.
- 16:46Speaker 2: I mean, I'm not really big into the chesh talk
- 16:49Speaker 2: and none of that.
- 16:49Speaker 3: I kind of just got him play and whatever happens happened.
- 16:54Speaker 3: I mean, they people like, we've come to realize and
- 16:58Speaker 3: I've learned, and they've they've been teaching.
- 17:00Speaker 2: People are gonna come out and say a million different things.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Which they have, they have the right to. They have
- 17:04Speaker 3: an opinion and they can go out and say it.
- 17:06Speaker 3: But the only opinions that really matter to me are
- 17:09Speaker 3: my family and the people I consider family.
- 17:11Speaker 2: So yeah, they could they could talk, and it's all right.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Everyone's got their own opinion, but I don't really pay
- 17:17Speaker 3: too much attention to it.
- 17:20Speaker 5: So I don't know what's gonna happen in your career.
- 17:23Speaker 5: But your approach to everything and your mindset and the
- 17:26Speaker 5: way you talk about stuff doesn't seem like it's fake.
- 17:30Speaker 5: And I hope you stay watching football, going to church
- 17:34Speaker 5: and eating wings with the boys for twenty more years
- 17:36Speaker 5: in the big leagues. Todd can appreciate that, and any
- 17:39Speaker 5: big leader can appreciate that, because you're gonna have ups
- 17:41Speaker 5: and downs, but it's the same sound comes to the ballpark.
- 17:45Speaker 5: Maybe you might lose some of that hair, but keep
- 17:47Speaker 5: that as long as you got it all right and
- 17:49Speaker 5: hit some day.
- 17:51Speaker 2: I hope I could keep it for a while. I
- 17:52Speaker 2: love my hair.
- 17:55Speaker 4: You got plenty. You're good. You're good.
- 17:56Speaker 1: But that's a great answer for me to tell Aja
- 17:59Speaker 1: next week or you guys next week.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Sure sound was happy for Austin. Austin got a dub.
- 18:03Speaker 4: You know it seems it seemed very genuine.
- 18:06Speaker 5: I mean, proved me wrong, soal, but it's genuine that
- 18:09Speaker 5: makes me happy to watch.
- 18:10Speaker 4: I'm gonna watch a few more Reds here. Yeah, sounds of.
- 18:12Speaker 1: The show now, So everything's good.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the plan.
- 18:16Speaker 3: I mean, you played a win and everything works out,
- 18:18Speaker 3: so I'm gonna do my part and I know our
- 18:20Speaker 3: team's ready.
- 18:22Speaker 4: All right.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Well, Sala, this was awesome man, great getting to know you.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Thanks for joining us. Appreciate it and we'll be watching
- 18:26Speaker 1: all right.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Thank you guys, thanks for having me
