Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: The liberal globalist order is on its brink and awakening a new conservative age.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: Dr. Steve Turley, join me every day as we discover answers to today's toughest challenges and explore the re-bondalization of conservative civilization.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: This is Turley Talks.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: Hey gang, it's me, Dr. Steve, your back porch professor, I hope you're having an absolutely wonderful weekend, but I can tell you most certainly who's not, and that's the dying, decaying, degrading, Democrat party.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: We've got another defection to report the second one in a single week, Hawaii State Representative El Cochran, just announced that she was resigning.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: From the Democrat Party, and she's formally joining the Republicans.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you'll be very interested in the district that she represents.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: She represents House District 14.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: House District 14 covers West Maui and the La Hena area.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: Now, remember those locations, those horrible fires back in 2023?
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Elcock Room was elected as a Democrat back in 2022, the year before the fires.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: And she's been very blunt and now horrified, she and her constituents have been over the Democrat majority's handling of the fires, not only were the fires themselves suspect in terms of the political incompetence behind the conditions that led to the fires, but she said that since them, the Democrat dominated legislature and Hawaii stem, literally nothing for the victims of those fires.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: She said that her pleas on behalf of her constituents have either been ignored
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I know that many of you have wondered if there have ever been any political consequences for Hawaii Democrats, given how they botched this disaster that killed over 100 people, left $5.5 billion in damage.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: And the answer's yes, there have been consequences.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe not as dramatic as what we would have hoped.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: But as we speak, there are now more Republicans in Hawaii's legislature today
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: Republicans have made very notable gains, particularly in 2024 in Hawaii.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: That was the first major election since the fires.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: And Cochrane's defaction is only serving to grow that already expanding numbers.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: So obviously, while not red, Hawaii is getting redder.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: And it's been doing so at a rapid rate far faster than the last two decades.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: But this is actually the second defaction.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: in a week.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: Earlier this week, South Carolina State Representative Lucas Akinson officially switched from Democrat to Republican.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: We actually reported on that.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's filing to run for six term in the state house and now the GOP.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's a fifth term wallmaker from Mullins Akinson.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: He represents House District 57.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: He's been a Democrat state representative.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: 2016, he won his last election with 60% of the vote, so he's no political pushover, but now he's officially joining our team, he's officially running as a Republican, and this is just frankly part for the course at this point.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: One study found that for every one Republican who switches parties to become a Democrat, for Democrats switched to the Republicans.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: the switching disparity on behalf of Republicans is four to one.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's pretty astonishing stuff and again, we're seeing it in real time, you know, back in September, South Dakota State Representative Pierre Poirier, Perry Poirier, officially defected to the Republicans and her switch get this.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: left the South Dakota House would just five Democrats has compared to 65 Republicans.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: So in the 70-seat state house, the Democrats are down to five seats.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: That's South Dakota.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: The Democrat Party in South Dakota is literally functionally extinct.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: And then there's the absolute tidal wave of defections happening in the border counties in Southern Texas,
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: A top elected official in the county, he recently went on Fox and friends and announced he was done with the Democrat party, the Woke Democrat party is now officially Republican and he specifically called out the Democrats on border security on the oil and gas industry and of course they're a poor obsession with wokeness and just under school what's happening there?
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: This is a county that voted for Hillary with nearly 70% of the vote back in 2016.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: That radically Democrat vote swung by over 50 points to Trump in 2024.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: Let that hit you.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's why there's this four to one party switch discrepancy among the Republicans.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: The political realignment along particularly the southern border in Texas is absolutely historic.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: There are 18 border counties in Texas.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: Historically, every single one had been solid blue.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: They've been voting Democrat literally for about a century.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: In November 2024, 14 of those 18 border counties in Texas went red.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: They voted Trump.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: Again, these were counties were once considered unshakable Democrats strongholds for generations.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: And we could keep going and going North Carolina, there are a bunch of defections in Jersey and Kentucky scores of Democrat politicians
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: appears to be how the Democrats are constantly on the wrong side of 80-20 issues.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: So there are a number of political issues.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: We talk about them all the time.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: That garners supermajority support, right?
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: Border security, mass deportations, banning trends athletes from women's sports, voter ID, and an issue after issue after issue.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: The Democrat parties on the 20 side of 80, 20 issues.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: They're staking their position with the single most radical left-wing lunatics in the nation who couldn't garner more than 20 percent support.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: And after a while, that consistent, unpopularity begins to take its toll and party membership.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: This is why the Democrat Party has lost millions in voter registration since 2020, all the while the Republicans have gained millions.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's because the Republicans are consistently on the super majority side of 80, 20 issues, while the Democrats are on the super minority side.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: And that radical unpopularity is beginning to take its toll on the party.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: So as far as I'm concerned, the demise of the Democrats could not possibly come soon enough.
