- 0:02Speaker 1: We're gonna have a fun one today. Tons of news flowing,
- 0:06Speaker 1: and I want to remind everyone that you can also
- 0:10Speaker 1: get some news a couple times a week from the
- 0:12Speaker 1: brand new GM territory. I know we introed it yesterday
- 0:15Speaker 1: with Jim Bowden and his son Trey. I was listening
- 0:18Speaker 1: to it this morning. It's great and the logo is
- 0:22Speaker 1: epic with Maryfield pointed out how the behind the scenes
- 0:26Speaker 1: team coming up with the quarter zip inside the M
- 0:31Speaker 1: is a work of art and I feel like you'd appreciate.
- 0:34Speaker 2: That a j duh, duh.
- 0:39Speaker 3: I mean standard issue GM material quarter zip on every
- 0:43Speaker 3: team and every color, every color, every shape, size, but
- 0:48Speaker 3: not Jim was ironic about it. Jim's not a GM.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Check out the picture of Jim that we always post
- 0:56Speaker 3: when he's on there. He's standing on the cage in
- 0:58Speaker 3: a quarter zip.
- 1:00Speaker 4: Before quarters zips were cool. Now kids go to like
- 1:03Speaker 4: Ross or TJ Max just to find two quarter zips
- 1:07Speaker 4: that match each other, to clown people that wear quarter zips.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Quarter zips are the best.
- 1:15Speaker 3: They're the sun dress for men because you can wear
- 1:18Speaker 3: them if you need a collared shirt. You can wear
- 1:21Speaker 3: them if you're nice, right, if you like, if you
- 1:24Speaker 3: go to a place that requires a collar shirt, you
- 1:25Speaker 3: put a quarter zip on it has a collar.
- 1:27Speaker 2: You can fold them like this is a collared shirt.
- 1:30Speaker 3: But then if you want to go work out, you
- 1:32Speaker 3: also have the quarter zip and you have like a
- 1:33Speaker 3: crappy one. You can sweat it in a little bit.
- 1:35Speaker 3: And then if you want to go somewhere really nice,
- 1:37Speaker 3: you throw the quarter zip over your nice.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Button up shirt. It kind of goes with everything in
- 1:41Speaker 2: every situation.
- 1:42Speaker 3: You wear them with shorts, you can wear them with pants,
- 1:45Speaker 3: wear them when it's cold, wear them when it's hot.
- 1:47Speaker 4: It's you're an outfitman. You're an outfitman. I have to
- 1:51Speaker 4: do something where I was told to dress casual for
- 1:55Speaker 4: a presentation of something this weekend. Can I wear my
- 1:59Speaker 4: quarter zip?
- 2:00Speaker 3: Yes, yes, that's that's business casual. But it takes it
- 2:07Speaker 3: up another lotch over, just like jeans and like a
- 2:10Speaker 3: golf shirt, because what's a long sleeve?
- 2:13Speaker 4: What about Hey dudes? Can I wear hay dudes or
- 2:16Speaker 4: do I need to wear like some nice I.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Don't even know what dudes are. I don't even know
- 2:20Speaker 2: what hay dudes are.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Sounds like a future sponsor.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Alert sounds like sounds like what I wipe my butt with.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Oh well, that's coming up at the end of the show,
- 2:28Speaker 1: the ultimate tease. But let's let's charge right now because
- 2:31Speaker 1: we have a ton to get to.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Charge.
- 2:36Speaker 1: They had been pursuing him since November, and in early February,
- 2:40Speaker 1: the Seattle Mariners get their guy, Brendan Donovan. Come on down,
- 2:44Speaker 1: little third base, maybe lead off, left handed hitter on
- 2:48Speaker 1: base machine aj. I think this is a massive move
- 2:52Speaker 1: for the Mariners. That was a must for them to
- 2:54Speaker 1: feel satisfied this offseason.
- 2:56Speaker 3: You, yeah, this is he fits perfect in their line
- 2:59Speaker 3: if he's left handed, right, he plays second base, he
- 3:02Speaker 3: gets on base for him.
- 3:04Speaker 2: They lost Polanka, they lost Suarez. This is a.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Great fit, and they gave up, you know, a couple
- 3:10Speaker 3: of their prospects. So what Brandon Donovan's a proven guy,
- 3:13Speaker 3: He's been to the All Star Game. You know he's
- 3:15Speaker 3: gonna hit you know what he's gonna give you. So
- 3:18Speaker 3: I love this move for Seattle. And why does Tampa
- 3:21Speaker 3: Bay always get involved in three team trains? Like Tampa
- 3:24Speaker 3: Bay is always the team you call and they're like, hey,
- 3:26Speaker 3: will you just throw in somebody so we'll give you
- 3:28Speaker 3: a random prospect. Tampa's is like, sure, we got nothing
- 3:31Speaker 3: else happening. We haven't done something for a while. Well, yeah,
- 3:33Speaker 3: we'll be the third team in a trade.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Yep, you need a pick in a prospect, We've got
- 3:37Speaker 1: one for you. Oh you've got Ben Williamson who we
- 3:39Speaker 1: can bounce all around the diamond. Yes, please, there's the
- 3:42Speaker 1: full trade. We're gonna learn about the prospect package soon
- 3:45Speaker 1: from JJ Cooper and Ken Rosenthal's going to break down
- 3:48Speaker 1: some sides of this trade as well. But yes, Ben
- 3:50Speaker 1: Williamson did play this past season at third for the Mariners.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Looks like he could be a really good defender. The
- 3:56Speaker 1: Rays have already talked about playing him at third. Short
- 3:59Speaker 1: second tune action, the bat might be a little bit
- 4:02Speaker 1: light to be a full time third baseman. He also
- 4:05Speaker 1: just got to the league, so let's give him a
- 4:07Speaker 1: time to breathe. But wait back to the Mariners for
- 4:09Speaker 1: a moment. Kratz and and AJ Just for clarification, I
- 4:12Speaker 1: think Donovan's going to play mostly third. I know he
- 4:15Speaker 1: can bounce around, but if Cole Young plays well, then
- 4:18Speaker 1: Donovan can play third for them. Second base is probably
- 4:21Speaker 1: his most natural spot, but he's got the ability to
- 4:23Speaker 1: swing around.
- 4:24Speaker 2: He's play mostly second base in his career though.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that's true. But so let's just I'll paint
- 4:30Speaker 1: one of the lineups for you from Fangrafts. Against right
- 4:32Speaker 1: he's Donovan leading off third. Then you've got Cal Julio Naylor,
- 4:37Speaker 1: Randy Rosarina, dom can Zone, who's the guy against right
- 4:42Speaker 1: handed pitchers and usually sits against lefties. JP Crawford, Victor Roeblaze,
- 4:48Speaker 1: Cole Young. Nice balance. What do you think, Kratz?
- 4:53Speaker 4: Did you say, Julio, I'm not looking at the image
- 4:55Speaker 4: you're saying, Yeah, yeah, okay.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I was. I Like.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Before Donovan, I would agree they would have been one
- 5:04Speaker 4: short with Donovan to me, whether it's like Aj said,
- 5:08Speaker 4: he plays second, which is where he's played the most,
- 5:11Speaker 4: or he plays third. They have Colt Emerson and they
- 5:15Speaker 4: have Cole Young. Seems like they're gonna give Cole Young
- 5:18Speaker 4: that opportunity first. But this is when I have problems
- 5:21Speaker 4: with teams who are like, Yep, this is the guy
- 5:23Speaker 4: he's gonna go play. He's gonna be the future of
- 5:25Speaker 4: our team at third base. It's so tough for prospects
- 5:29Speaker 4: to hit right away when they come up. This Brandon
- 5:33Speaker 4: Donovan trade allows them to say, Okay, you're playing third
- 5:38Speaker 4: because today we see Cole Young being being here and
- 5:42Speaker 4: he's better for our team at second base. Cole Young
- 5:45Speaker 4: makes the team, it doesn't work out well. Colt Emerson,
- 5:47Speaker 4: who has only crushed it in the minor leagues, continues
- 5:51Speaker 4: to crush in the bushes. Maybe there's a shift if
- 5:54Speaker 4: Cole Young is there. It's such a great it's such
- 5:56Speaker 4: a great problem to have, and I think the Mariners
- 5:59Speaker 4: have done an incredible job of giving themselves more depth
- 6:03Speaker 4: than they ever have and they are not sitting on
- 6:06Speaker 4: their hands with this team that was on the precipice
- 6:10Speaker 4: of making the World Series last year.
- 6:15Speaker 1: What about the rest of the package. So we'll talk
- 6:19Speaker 1: about the Cardinals racking up picks. I mean, they have
- 6:22Speaker 1: a ton of picks coming up in the twenty twenty
- 6:24Speaker 1: six draft, six of the top eighty six. I have
- 6:28Speaker 1: to they acquired two picks. Has been able to unload
- 6:33Speaker 1: aj Suddi grad.
- 6:34Speaker 3: But he's got prospects too, don't forget in this trade.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Yes he got he got what three prospects in this dude?
- 6:41Speaker 3: Since what's his name?
- 6:42Speaker 1: Since I don't know, since I'm actually going to help
- 6:44Speaker 1: you out with that, can we can we throw to
- 6:46Speaker 1: JJ Cooper to help learn about what the return package
- 6:49Speaker 1: is and then we can hear how he pronounces it.
- 6:52Speaker 5: So we had a three team deal, not surprisingly involved
- 6:56Speaker 5: Seattle and Tampa Bay, two of the teams that are
- 6:58Speaker 5: most willing to trade. But we're just going to look
- 7:00Speaker 5: at the prospects on this portion here. So what did
- 7:03Speaker 5: the Cardinals get get back? Prospect wise? I would say
- 7:07Speaker 5: that they got a number of kind of intriguing pieces,
- 7:10Speaker 5: all of whom kind of aren't perfect prospects, but all
- 7:13Speaker 5: have kind of characteristics that you could be really interested in.
- 7:16Speaker 5: The top prospect that came back is clearly Durandelo Cinca.
- 7:21Speaker 5: You could call him the switch pitcher. Although predominantly a
- 7:24Speaker 5: right handed pitcher, he does throw left handed as well.
- 7:27Speaker 5: He can throw lefty in games, but predominantly a right
- 7:31Speaker 5: hander who if he's going to start, is going to
- 7:33Speaker 5: be a right handed starter who always has the ability
- 7:36Speaker 5: to flip over and throw a lefty slider in a
- 7:39Speaker 5: tough matchup at times. But he's an intriguing starting pitching
- 7:43Speaker 5: prospect who has it's not that far away, but at
- 7:47Speaker 5: the same time also hasn't kind of put everything together yet.
- 7:50Speaker 5: He's not a top hundred prospect for US, but he's
- 7:53Speaker 5: not that far off the top hundred. He's kind of
- 7:55Speaker 5: on that cusp of the top hundred. He's the primary prospect.
- 7:58Speaker 5: I would say that they got back, but you also
- 8:00Speaker 5: need to keep an eye on Ty Pete, who also
- 8:02Speaker 5: came back from the Mariners. We had Cincho ranked as
- 8:04Speaker 5: number seven on our Mariners Top thirty, and we had
- 8:08Speaker 5: Pete ranked tenth on our.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Marin's Top thirty.
- 8:10Speaker 5: Pete has a lot of athleticism, a lot of tools.
- 8:14Speaker 5: Showed some power last year, but there's also a lot
- 8:16Speaker 5: of swing and miss. Is an outfielder who, if everything clicks,
- 8:20Speaker 5: could really be an everyday regular. But at the same time,
- 8:22Speaker 5: with the strikeout Rady has, there's no sure bet that
- 8:25Speaker 5: he's going to that everything's going to click, or that
- 8:27Speaker 5: he could even be a big leaguer. He's going to
- 8:29Speaker 5: have to make some improvements. And then from the Rays
- 8:32Speaker 5: comes over Colton Ledbetter, who is kind I would say,
- 8:35Speaker 5: kind of the antithesis in some ways of Pete. If
- 8:38Speaker 5: Pete is really flashy, tools led Better's more of kind
- 8:41Speaker 5: of a whole lot of solid tools and skills. There's
- 8:45Speaker 5: not a whole lot of power here, although he hits
- 8:47Speaker 5: the ball harder than his home run numbers will kind
- 8:50Speaker 5: of give you evidence of He's played center and right field.
- 8:54Speaker 5: The Rays kind of viewed him as a right fielder.
- 8:56Speaker 5: Maybe the Mariners see if he can play center, maybe
- 8:58Speaker 5: they can improve his defense because he has athleticism. He's
- 9:01Speaker 5: also a pretty successful base stealer. Was not on the
- 9:04Speaker 5: Rays top thirty, but that race top thirty is very deep,
- 9:07Speaker 5: and you don't want to forget about. Maybe one of
- 9:09Speaker 5: the key things here that is definitely we're paying attention
- 9:11Speaker 5: to is the Also the two compensatory picks their competitive
- 9:14Speaker 5: pounds PETE B picks, which means they go after the
- 9:17Speaker 5: second round sixty eighth and seventy second picks. But those
- 9:20Speaker 5: are not just two picks. That's going to be another
- 9:22Speaker 5: two point five million or so in bonus pool allotment
- 9:26Speaker 5: that will allow the Cardinals to spend more than almost
- 9:30Speaker 5: anybody in the draft in twenty twenty six. So that's
- 9:33Speaker 5: the prospect return in the three team Cardinals Mariners raise trade.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I I'm bloom getting the job done. AJ. He did
- 9:43Speaker 1: everything you needed to do in terms of the rebuild
- 9:45Speaker 1: so far and offloading all of these veteran players to
- 9:48Speaker 1: get nice return packages.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Yeah, was it Senja Sja Durangeloa Sanja. So two things
- 9:59Speaker 3: about him. One, I just before this trade, the mariner
- 10:01Speaker 3: said he was only going to pitch right handed, so
- 10:03Speaker 3: the switch pitcher thing is not the thing. And then also,
- 10:06Speaker 3: I remember my son's team went and played in a
- 10:08Speaker 3: tournament and his team was there and all the scouts
- 10:11Speaker 3: are there to see him throw with both arms, and
- 10:13Speaker 3: the coaches like, yeah, he's not going to pitch in
- 10:15Speaker 3: this tournament, and the scouts were like, well, we only
- 10:17Speaker 3: came to see him. The scout's like, we don't care,
- 10:18Speaker 3: he's not pitching, and so the scout's all left. It
- 10:21Speaker 3: was kind of funny, but because they wanted to see
- 10:23Speaker 3: a guy that get throw in ninety with both hands,
- 10:25Speaker 3: and now he's only a right handed pitcher. But this
- 10:28Speaker 3: is kind of what the Cardinals need to do. It
- 10:29Speaker 3: restocks their farm system, They get rid of one of
- 10:32Speaker 3: their better assets, they get players. Hein Bloom did this
- 10:35Speaker 3: in Boston too. Let's not forget when he had to
- 10:36Speaker 3: trade Mookie Betts and redo that whole thing. Hein Bloom
- 10:39Speaker 3: came from the race. He knows how to develop organizations.
- 10:42Speaker 3: He knows how to develop talent. He knows how to
- 10:44Speaker 3: build talent inside an organization. So for the Cardinals, yes,
- 10:47Speaker 3: it's going to suck for a few years. This is
- 10:49Speaker 3: a win for the Mariners, absolutely, this is a win
- 10:52Speaker 3: for right now because they're trying to win right now,
- 10:54Speaker 3: keep up with the Blue Jays, Yankees, Red Sox and
- 10:58Speaker 3: the rest of the teams in the American League. For
- 11:00Speaker 3: the Rays, the Rays never seemed to miss on a trade,
- 11:02Speaker 3: so yeah, it's a win for all.
- 11:04Speaker 2: This is one of those trades. It seems like a
- 11:05Speaker 2: help all three teams.
- 11:07Speaker 1: This was a good staredown too. Let's bring in FT
- 11:09Speaker 1: senior insider Ken Rosenthal. So it appeared as if Ken
- 11:13Speaker 1: the Giants signing Luisa Rise might have helped to push
- 11:16Speaker 1: this one across the finish line that began in November.
- 11:20Speaker 1: What else can you tell us.
- 11:22Speaker 6: Actually, Scott, that's not my understanding as far as the
- 11:25Speaker 6: Arise piece is concerned. These teams were down the line
- 11:28Speaker 6: when that happened. The Giants didn't have a piece like
- 11:33Speaker 6: Jerangelo Sinta, and that was the difference in the two
- 11:36Speaker 6: teams and what they were offering. There were other teams
- 11:39Speaker 6: involved as well. The Red Sox were involved, the Royals
- 11:42Speaker 6: were involved at various points. The Dodgers, as always, were lurking.
- 11:46Speaker 6: But in the end, the Cardinals needed the third team,
- 11:50Speaker 6: Tampa Bay, to get exactly what they wanted because with
- 11:53Speaker 6: Ben Williamson going to Tampa Bay, that enabled Tampa Bay
- 11:57Speaker 6: to send the Cardinals an additional pick and an additional player,
- 12:01Speaker 6: and that is what ultimately led to this deal coming
- 12:04Speaker 6: to fruition.
- 12:06Speaker 1: All right, so what do you think of the impact
- 12:09Speaker 1: for the Mariners and how badly they needed to pull
- 12:11Speaker 1: this off? Ken Also, if you want to mix in
- 12:13Speaker 1: some parts from your story this morning on a very
- 12:16Speaker 1: unique day for the Seattle front office.
- 12:19Speaker 6: Well, I love it for the Mariners, and I'm a
- 12:21Speaker 6: Brendan Donovan fan. It seems to me that virtually everyone
- 12:25Speaker 6: is a Brendan Donovan fan. And he'll go at the
- 12:27Speaker 6: top of their order, most likely will start the season
- 12:29Speaker 6: at third base. They were talking about bringing their top prospect,
- 12:33Speaker 6: Colt Emerson to the big leagues playing him at third,
- 12:35Speaker 6: but with Donovan, you don't have to do that now
- 12:38Speaker 6: he can play other positions as well, and if Cole
- 12:42Speaker 6: Young struggles at second base, or if they need someone
- 12:45Speaker 6: to fill in in the outfield, Brendan Donovan can do that.
- 12:48Speaker 6: And offensively, this is really the key for the Mariners
- 12:52Speaker 6: top of the order, in front of Raleigh and Julio
- 12:55Speaker 6: and a ros Arena and that gang, and then at
- 12:58Speaker 6: the bottom of the order with j Crawford and Cole
- 13:01Speaker 6: Young being contact guys, that gives them a little bit
- 13:05Speaker 6: of a different look. With Brendan Donovan also being someone
- 13:08Speaker 6: who puts the ball in play, it's a much more
- 13:11Speaker 6: intriguing looking offense than it has been. And for that reason,
- 13:15Speaker 6: and I forgot to mention Naylor. Of course, this is
- 13:18Speaker 6: a very intriguing trade for the Mariners, and they gave
- 13:21Speaker 6: up a good amount. Sandra is, by some estimations, a
- 13:25Speaker 6: top one hundred prospect. The outfielder Typete is a guy
- 13:29Speaker 6: who is kind of a flyer, a chance you take
- 13:33Speaker 6: high upside if it happens. And then the pick as well.
- 13:36Speaker 6: But with Williamson, he was expendable once they got Donovan,
- 13:40Speaker 6: so for then this was a move he had that
- 13:42Speaker 6: they had to make. Now, as for the story I
- 13:45Speaker 6: wrote today, I learned last night that the Mariners kind
- 13:49Speaker 6: of learned that they had an agreement, not kind of
- 13:51Speaker 6: they learned they had an agreement when they were at
- 13:54Speaker 6: the Washington State Capitol in Olympia, Washington yesterday. The States
- 13:59Speaker 6: Senate there was adopting a proclamation basically hailing the Mariners
- 14:04Speaker 6: and cal Rally for his historic season, for the Mariners,
- 14:06Speaker 6: for their great year. And at that moment when they
- 14:10Speaker 6: were reading the proclamation, Justin Hollander, the Mariners GM got
- 14:13Speaker 6: a text. It was part of a group text with
- 14:15Speaker 6: hein Bloom, the Cardinals president baseball Operations, and hein Bloom said,
- 14:20Speaker 6: Hollander start the medicals were good to go, meaning they
- 14:24Speaker 6: had an agreement and that they had to next finalize
- 14:28Speaker 6: the medicals and review the medicals. That this takes place
- 14:32Speaker 6: with every trade. And that is how on a day
- 14:35Speaker 6: that the people were at the state House they came
- 14:38Speaker 6: to get Brendan Donovan.
- 14:40Speaker 4: I want to ask about the person who just brought
- 14:42Speaker 4: up hein Bloom. Obviously everybody says hein Bloom traded mooky Bets. Okay,
- 14:48Speaker 4: ownership made hein Bloom get rid of Mooky Bets. I
- 14:51Speaker 4: felt like that transition year where him was kind of
- 14:54Speaker 4: helping in the minor leagues, helping the structure the infrastructure
- 14:57Speaker 4: was going to be Moe's opportunity to to mozae Lock
- 15:01Speaker 4: the previous GM to get rid of these guys, and
- 15:03Speaker 4: now him had to come in. Is him's legacy going
- 15:06Speaker 4: to be very similar in Saint Louis as it is
- 15:12Speaker 4: in Boston. Obviously we don't know the future. But is
- 15:15Speaker 4: it fair to heinm Bloom to make him make these moves?
- 15:19Speaker 6: He knew what he was getting into, and last year
- 15:23Speaker 6: with moze Lock, in his final year, Mozelac was not
- 15:26Speaker 6: willing and maybe ownership was not willing to go to
- 15:29Speaker 6: these lengths to start the rebuilding process.
- 15:32Speaker 2: They were kind of.
- 15:33Speaker 6: Waiting for hein Bloom to be that guy. Now, when
- 15:37Speaker 6: you embark upon something like this, and remember they've traded
- 15:40Speaker 6: Sonny Gray and Wilson Contreras and of course now as
- 15:45Speaker 6: well Brendan Donovan, you know that it's going to be painful.
- 15:49Speaker 6: Cardinals fans know it's going to be painful, and Cardinals fans,
- 15:53Speaker 6: the knowledgeable ones understand that this was probably overdue. So
- 15:58Speaker 6: I don't know that heim Bloom is being looked at
- 16:01Speaker 6: in a negative way in Saint Louis. The Boston situation
- 16:05Speaker 6: was entirely different, Eric, and you alluded to it. Ownership
- 16:08Speaker 6: basically forced that deal by not signing bets Heim.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Bloom didn't make a great deal.
- 16:12Speaker 6: I don't know that it was going to be easy
- 16:14Speaker 6: for him to make a great deal with one year
- 16:16Speaker 6: of Mooky left at a big salary number, so and
- 16:20Speaker 6: with the Dodgers also taking on David Price and the
- 16:22Speaker 6: rest of his money.
- 16:24Speaker 1: So that was one job.
- 16:26Speaker 6: This is another job and another task entirely. And I
- 16:30Speaker 6: would say that we don't know exactly how this is
- 16:34Speaker 6: going to turn out. But the direction he has taken
- 16:37Speaker 6: with this team, that is the proper direction. This is
- 16:40Speaker 6: what they need to do at this moment in time
- 16:43Speaker 6: in their evolution as an organization. And the moves that
- 16:46Speaker 6: he has made so far have been pointing toward a
- 16:50Speaker 6: better future. Whether it transpires or not, whether he picked
- 16:53Speaker 6: the right guys, that remains to be seen. But I
- 16:56Speaker 6: will go back to one trade he made in Boston.
- 16:58Speaker 6: I'll go back to a couple things. Actually, the trade
- 17:01Speaker 6: of Christian Vasquez to the Astros that brought them back
- 17:05Speaker 6: will your or bray you pretty good trade. It was
- 17:07Speaker 6: one that I actually criticized at the time. A lot
- 17:10Speaker 6: of people did thought it was unnecessary. And then you
- 17:13Speaker 6: look at some of the young players that they have
- 17:14Speaker 6: in the big leagues right now. These were guys drafted
- 17:17Speaker 6: under heinm Bloom, developed under heinm Bloom. So his legacy
- 17:22Speaker 6: in Boston is not simply the Mookie Bets trade. It's
- 17:26Speaker 6: a lot of what is going on there in a
- 17:28Speaker 6: positive way.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Right now.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Ken Heim Bloom used to work for the Rays. How
- 17:33Speaker 3: did the Rays always end up in a three team
- 17:35Speaker 3: trade and they're always like, hey, we'll just take the
- 17:38Speaker 3: last player something like that. How do they always end
- 17:40Speaker 3: up in these trades? Because it always seems like if
- 17:42Speaker 3: there's a three team trade, somehow the Rays are involved
- 17:45Speaker 3: getting a player, giving up a draft pick, whatever it is.
- 17:48Speaker 3: How do they do this every time?
- 17:50Speaker 6: Aj, You're absolutely right. They are willing on these kinds
- 17:53Speaker 6: of deals and they are able. And John Becker from
- 17:56Speaker 6: Fangrafts last night posted something on x which he said,
- 18:00Speaker 6: I believe six of the last seven to three team
- 18:04Speaker 6: trades have involved the Rays, and clearly they are in
- 18:09Speaker 6: many cases a facilitator in these deals. So in this case,
- 18:13Speaker 6: Seattle and Saint Louis couldn't quite match up. They talked
- 18:16Speaker 6: about this starting in November Worth three months later now,
- 18:19Speaker 6: and they had yet to match up. The Rays found
- 18:24Speaker 6: a way, as I mentioned earlier, by taking Williamson from
- 18:27Speaker 6: the Mariners and then sending additional capital to the Cardinals.
- 18:32Speaker 6: That was a way to satisfy the Cardinals in a
- 18:34Speaker 6: way that the Mariners were not able to do on
- 18:37Speaker 6: their own.
- 18:38Speaker 2: So I don't know.
- 18:39Speaker 6: That in each case it's been the same kind of
- 18:42Speaker 6: role in some of these trades. I'm sure they were
- 18:44Speaker 6: the principal team looking for the third team. But as
- 18:48Speaker 6: John Becker tweeted right there or posted, I should say
- 18:51Speaker 6: they have a knack for doing this kind of thing.
- 18:54Speaker 4: At the beginning, when you first came on, you said
- 18:57Speaker 4: three of three of Scott's favor words the Red Sox
- 19:02Speaker 4: were in. I guess that's four the Red Sox were
- 19:05Speaker 4: in in on. So anyway, what's next for the Red Sox?
- 19:11Speaker 4: I essentially they've been in on so many guys and
- 19:13Speaker 4: just so they've missed out. But what's next or what
- 19:16Speaker 4: are you hearing is next for them?
- 19:18Speaker 6: They need an infielder and preferably a right handed hitter.
- 19:22Speaker 6: Donovan actually was not a great fit for them in
- 19:26Speaker 6: that respect. He's a left handed hitter, but the roster
- 19:30Speaker 6: that they have is largely left handed, so ideally it's
- 19:33Speaker 6: a right handed guy to play second base. Sombayer can
- 19:36Speaker 6: play third. Whether they accomplish that or not, I'm not
- 19:39Speaker 6: sure they'll be able to. It's getting late in the offseason.
- 19:42Speaker 6: The options are dwindling. If you want Nico Horner from
- 19:45Speaker 6: the Cubs, you better be prepared to give up an
- 19:47Speaker 6: awful lot. The Cubs do not want to trade him,
- 19:50Speaker 6: so I don't know exactly where this is going with them.
- 19:54Speaker 6: Clearly though, they need that additional bat, that one more
- 19:59Speaker 6: offensive piece. The guy who would have been perfect was
- 20:02Speaker 6: katel Marte. But kateel Marte, as the Diamondbacks stand right now,
- 20:07Speaker 6: is not getting traded.
- 20:11Speaker 1: What's the one thing you say? Aj, Everyone likes money,
- 20:14Speaker 1: You want money. You can sell this thing, this this
- 20:18Speaker 1: arbitration case alone. I think you could sell for more
- 20:21Speaker 1: than the price of one regular season game. I think
- 20:25Speaker 1: it would be that popular for fans to watch how
- 20:27Speaker 1: this goes down and how you make a case for
- 20:30Speaker 1: Terrek School not being good at baseball. We need not
- 20:33Speaker 1: be good enough to be what.
- 20:35Speaker 4: We'd need to warm up first, like this would be
- 20:37Speaker 4: like a boxing match where we need a couple like
- 20:40Speaker 4: preliminary fights, so that fans kind of like, what is this?
- 20:43Speaker 4: I don't even know what this is? Arbitration? Millionaires, billionaires,
- 20:46Speaker 4: what's going on? And then bang six o'clock at the
- 20:50Speaker 4: Polestra in Phoenix, Scott Boris versus Bob Bamfred Fred.
- 20:59Speaker 1: We're gonna have a little warm up, a little appetizer
- 21:01Speaker 1: of esak paratus. Oh no, wait, he just settled with
- 21:04Speaker 1: the astro. Sorry, that one's wipe. That's actually a true story.
- 21:07Speaker 1: I'll be here all day, but AJ, Yeah, this is fascinating.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I know that if you just look at David Price's
- 21:14Speaker 1: nineteen point seventy five million, which is the record in
- 21:16Speaker 1: ARB for a pitcher, and you slap inflation on it
- 21:20Speaker 1: from eleven years, it's twenty seven million dollars. That's without
- 21:23Speaker 1: looking at Schooble's accualades. Yeah, there's multiple arguments. How about
- 21:28Speaker 1: the argument of who's making more money right now than
- 21:31Speaker 1: Schooble and how he's better than all of them and
- 21:33Speaker 1: he's allowed to compare himself to free agents. Sure you
- 21:37Speaker 1: want to call me biased on this one? Here actually
- 21:39Speaker 1: this will state it right. AJ. For example, you and
- 21:42Speaker 1: Jim Boden will have many head to head battles over
- 21:44Speaker 1: how the CBA is going to go down. Right, Boden
- 21:48Speaker 1: is saying like, nobody has a chance if you're a
- 21:50Speaker 1: small market team. Blah blah blah ah. That right, Boden
- 21:53Speaker 1: is like, if this case doesn't go to Schooble, everything
- 21:56Speaker 1: makes no sense.
- 21:59Speaker 3: That's that's my point. What did I just say to Ken?
- 22:01Speaker 3: I've been saying that from the get go. Remember this
- 22:04Speaker 3: is not just about Terrek Scooble. This is about the
- 22:06Speaker 3: CBA and baseball going forward. So that's why this number
- 22:09Speaker 3: is huge.
- 22:10Speaker 2: This number is.
- 22:13Speaker 3: If you're a player, If you're a player out there
- 22:15Speaker 3: and you're watching this or you're listening to this, you
- 22:17Speaker 3: need to be rooting.
- 22:18Speaker 2: For Trek Schooble. If you're Paul Skeins, you need to
- 22:22Speaker 2: be rooting for Trek Scouoble in this case.
- 22:24Speaker 3: If you're any player, if you're in high school, if
- 22:28Speaker 3: you're in college and you think you have a chance
- 22:29Speaker 3: to get to the major leagues, you need to be
- 22:31Speaker 3: rooting for Trek Scooble in this case. If you're a
- 22:34Speaker 3: fan of baseball players in general, and you can say
- 22:37Speaker 3: they make too much money. Trek Scooble, you need to
- 22:39Speaker 3: be rooting for. I just it's one of those landmark
- 22:42Speaker 3: cases in the history of the game for arbitration. Obviously,
- 22:46Speaker 3: it's not free agency and some of the other things
- 22:48Speaker 3: that have gone down Jackie Robinson and all those great
- 22:51Speaker 3: things that have happened, but for arbitration, and if you
- 22:53Speaker 3: are on the player's side at all, you need to
- 22:56Speaker 3: be rooting for Trek Scooble. And again, I firmly believe
- 22:59Speaker 3: Scott Boris is probably gonna argue this case himself, which
- 23:02Speaker 3: he's done a lot of. I think he's argued I
- 23:03Speaker 3: looked up the numbers fifty plus in his day personally,
- 23:07Speaker 3: not saying like one of his other guys, but Scott himself.
- 23:11Speaker 3: So I'm guarantee you And if what I know about Scott,
- 23:14Speaker 3: they probably had him in a room for the last
- 23:15Speaker 3: week and have fired everything in the world at Scott
- 23:18Speaker 3: Boris to get him mentally prepared. He's gonna be like
- 23:21Speaker 3: a UFC fighter, like a boxer, like when they come
- 23:23Speaker 3: to the ring.
- 23:24Speaker 2: He's gonna be like.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Frothing at the mouth right perfect weigh in shape right,
- 23:28Speaker 3: ready to fight. And to guarantee you, the owners have
- 23:31Speaker 3: done the same thing.
- 23:32Speaker 2: On their side.
- 23:33Speaker 3: They've got their best whoever their best guy is, whoever
- 23:36Speaker 3: that is has been in a room for a week
- 23:39Speaker 3: and just everything, and they're gonna both try to get
- 23:42Speaker 3: the other guy off their game, and at the end
- 23:44Speaker 3: of the day, whoever's better is gonna win. But I
- 23:47Speaker 3: just the arguments are all for schoobl because he doesn't
- 23:49Speaker 3: even have to prove thirty two.
- 23:51Speaker 2: He's got to prove twenty five. Okay, and if you.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Look at all the comps, he should be making more
- 23:56Speaker 3: than twenty five million.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Because he's allowed to use free agents. He should win.
- 24:02Speaker 3: But you know what that means, not a damn thing
- 24:04Speaker 3: in this game, because there's times where you look at
- 24:06Speaker 3: numbers you're like, this guy should win, and some reason
- 24:09Speaker 3: he loses and you never know why.
- 24:13Speaker 4: Twenty five twenty five to five and a dollar, right,
- 24:16Speaker 4: that's half nineteen nineteen to thirty two.
- 24:21Speaker 2: My math isn't mathing right now. It's yeah, well you
- 24:24Speaker 2: got it, you got five. Yeah, that's what they need
- 24:27Speaker 2: to prove.
- 24:29Speaker 4: I've I've been calling different people this morning, like players
- 24:32Speaker 4: that I thought went to actual arbitration, like AJ did
- 24:36Speaker 4: just to like kind of get an idea. And one
- 24:39Speaker 4: of the guys was like, hey call this GM. So
- 24:41Speaker 4: I called the GM and he was like, he blew
- 24:46Speaker 4: my mind on this. He was like, look, he's like,
- 24:49Speaker 4: I believe that if you have a pissed off player,
- 24:52Speaker 4: your organization is not going to be in a good shape.
- 24:55Speaker 4: And I was like, okay, I completely agree with you.
- 24:57Speaker 4: And he said, honestly exactly what AJ said. This is
- 25:01Speaker 4: a Major League Baseball versus the Players Association. So why
- 25:04Speaker 4: are the teams even getting involved? Why are the teams
- 25:08Speaker 4: even saying, okay, we I'm not even sure who will
- 25:11Speaker 4: do it, because it's not gonna be Scott Harris for
- 25:14Speaker 4: the Tigers. It'll be the assistant GM, It'll be okay, trust,
- 25:20Speaker 4: it'll be an MLB generally. Generally, Scott Harris.
- 25:23Speaker 3: Will be sitting there. Scott Harris will be sitting there
- 25:25Speaker 3: across from Trek's school. And you're again you're staring at
- 25:28Speaker 3: When I did mine, it was Brian Saban ned Colletti.
- 25:31Speaker 3: They're across about eight feet away from you. Okay, there's
- 25:34Speaker 3: there's a two tables separated by about two feet in
- 25:37Speaker 3: between and you're sitting there and literally I'll never forget
- 25:40Speaker 3: to this day. Don't mind me, I'll have shoes on.
- 25:42Speaker 3: I walked in and Ned Colletti and Brian Sabian were
- 25:45Speaker 3: sitting there with their feet like this and cowboy boots
- 25:48Speaker 3: on the table. When I walked in, come on just
- 25:51Speaker 3: like that, I swear, and I was like, oh wow,
- 25:53Speaker 3: that's awesome.
- 25:54Speaker 4: Guys, the picture of arrogance and so. And then I
- 25:58Speaker 4: went in and they don't, they don't, they don't say anything.
- 26:00Speaker 4: It's the it's the owners. They have like a lawyer
- 26:03Speaker 4: that does all the argument. So I don't know who
- 26:05Speaker 4: it would be.
- 26:06Speaker 3: No, what's his name, Noah Haile Scott you know the
- 26:08Speaker 3: millb staffing way better whoever the territory host territory.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Well, anyway he cares because for skiing.
- 26:16Speaker 1: It's not no Guarden, that's no, it's not No, it
- 26:20Speaker 1: wouldn't be. I mean Dan Halem is one of the
- 26:23Speaker 1: top lawyers who's been there forever with Rob. But I
- 26:26Speaker 1: don't know who. I think they have specific our guys
- 26:28Speaker 1: Morgan it's the top guy there, but I think it's
- 26:30Speaker 1: probably someone that works below them.
- 26:32Speaker 3: They'll use their top but they'll just sit there, the
- 26:35Speaker 3: GM and the player. You're told not to say anything.
- 26:37Speaker 3: You just sit there like this and you just listen
- 26:39Speaker 3: to them, and they're literally there are times that they
- 26:42Speaker 3: just make stuff up. I mean, my case is forever
- 26:44Speaker 3: ago now, but I'm just like I'm because they tell
- 26:48Speaker 3: you at the time. Michael Wiener for the Players Association,
- 26:51Speaker 3: my agent's sitting next to me and they're like, whatever
- 26:53Speaker 3: they say, just don't react. And they were saying some
- 26:56Speaker 3: outlanda ship, and I was like, trying not to turn red.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Just one of the arguments against me I'll never forget
- 27:03Speaker 3: was I went up. So when I went, it's not
- 27:05Speaker 3: way different money. But I went for a record for
- 27:08Speaker 3: first year ARB catchers. Okay, three point five million. The
- 27:11Speaker 3: Giants countered at two two five, right, And I'm like,
- 27:14Speaker 3: and they wouldn't go when we tried to get something
- 27:15Speaker 3: done before, they wouldn't go above two five. And I go, well,
- 27:18Speaker 3: I got a chance to win one point two five
- 27:20Speaker 3: or lose two hundred and fifty thousand. I'm like, I'll
- 27:23Speaker 3: take my shot for the three point five, right. So
- 27:25Speaker 3: we go into this meeting and Michael Wiener was all
- 27:27Speaker 3: about it because it would have raised the bar big
- 27:29Speaker 3: time for catchers because catchers the time, we're get paid shit,
- 27:32Speaker 3: and so we do our whole thing and da da
- 27:33Speaker 3: da da dah. And one of the arguments was I'll
- 27:36Speaker 3: never get this. They go, well, Prazinski last year had
- 27:38Speaker 3: seven pass balls or whatever it was, and they go,
- 27:41Speaker 3: Jason Veritek only had six, and he catches Tim Wakefield,
- 27:45Speaker 3: the knuckleballer, every time he pitches. And I'm like, no,
- 27:49Speaker 3: he doesn't even catch. It's Mirabelly that catches him every time.
- 27:53Speaker 3: And I'm like trying that, and I just that sticks
- 27:55Speaker 3: in my head, like they just make things up. But
- 27:57Speaker 3: then you have to remember the arbitrators they don't know.
- 28:00Speaker 2: They don't know.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Who does what really, because they're not really baseball people.
- 28:05Speaker 3: They're just salary arbitrators that don't really know baseball. So
- 28:09Speaker 3: just things like that, and you're just like, what can
- 28:10Speaker 3: they say about tick scougble? You ever hurt your first
- 28:13Speaker 3: couple of years, but then since then you've won two
- 28:14Speaker 3: cy youngs.
- 28:16Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 28:17Speaker 1: We actually have a tweet. We have a tweet that
- 28:20Speaker 1: picked up some attention. I don't know. This might just
- 28:23Speaker 1: be a random fan, or it might be somebody in
- 28:24Speaker 1: the base pilogies in advance. I don't know, but I
- 28:27Speaker 1: really respect the tweet. So I found it this morning,
- 28:30Speaker 1: and if we can queue it up and show it.
- 28:32Speaker 1: His name is Kyle. He put together something funny here,
- 28:35Speaker 1: Kyle Bland Bland Analytics Possible arguments against Schooble and arbitration.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Number one, our relievers got less playing time because of you.
- 28:43Speaker 1: That's selfish. Number two, you made our draft pick worse.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Number three, we're running out of space in our trophy
- 28:50Speaker 1: room because of your cy Young Awards. Number four, you
- 28:52Speaker 1: make fan expectations too high and actually gets me thinking, Aja,
- 28:56Speaker 1: should he show up with his two Siang Award trophies
- 28:59Speaker 1: he's picked up the past two years in New York City.
- 29:02Speaker 3: That would be awesome if he showed up. He just
- 29:04Speaker 3: carried one in each arm and just sat him on
- 29:06Speaker 3: the table. He was like, oh, sorry, guys, little extra hardware.
- 29:09Speaker 3: I wanted you guys to be I mean.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Yeah, hell yeah. What if I was him?
- 29:13Speaker 3: I mean, oh my gosh, I just I listen. I
- 29:16Speaker 3: know this is a big deal, but I just don't
- 29:18Speaker 3: know how. I don't know how he loses, and I
- 29:23Speaker 3: don't obviously don't want him to lose.
- 29:26Speaker 2: But let's go back to I don't know. I want
- 29:28Speaker 2: to go back to what Ken said.
- 29:29Speaker 3: What is it So if the Tigers win this arbitration
- 29:31Speaker 3: case and they have thirteen extra million, then they're gonna
- 29:35Speaker 3: go get somebody else maybe to help their team. But
- 29:37Speaker 3: if they lose it, then they can't afford it. Well,
- 29:40Speaker 3: you want to talk about making Schooble feel like crap
- 29:42Speaker 3: even more after going in there bad mouthing him, Then
- 29:45Speaker 3: you're telling him that because he wants the money, he's
- 29:48Speaker 3: worth that. Then they can't make their team better. Like
- 29:51Speaker 3: I guarantee if you went to Tyrek School and said
- 29:53Speaker 3: we'll give you twenty five million to save seven and
- 29:56Speaker 3: we can go get a better player, he probably would
- 29:58Speaker 3: have said.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Yes, I think this is hilarious. Kratz. They might use
- 30:03Speaker 1: this in the case. They might say Schoogle makes us worse.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Why because if we have to pay him twelve million more,
- 30:09Speaker 1: then we're not going to give that to someone else,
- 30:10Speaker 1: so that will make us a little bit worse. I mean,
- 30:13Speaker 1: I don't know what else they can say, so maybe
- 30:14Speaker 1: they'll just start coming up with things that make no sense.
- 30:17Speaker 1: And yes, I agree, it's very it's a very tough
- 30:21Speaker 1: look to examine their off season. It's one of the
- 30:25Speaker 1: more confusing off seasons. The stance is, we are good
- 30:29Speaker 1: and we are young, so we will be better. We
- 30:32Speaker 1: essentially haven't done anything, and we are keeping our asset
- 30:36Speaker 1: who is going to be a free agent after this year,
- 30:38Speaker 1: so we're not pushing Chips in with that asset a
- 30:40Speaker 1: number one, and we're not trading him away. That to
- 30:44Speaker 1: me is called the muddled middle. Now are they a contender? Sure?
- 30:46Speaker 1: Are they a playoff contender? Yes? But are they really
- 30:49Speaker 1: trying to win a World Series?
- 30:52Speaker 4: I mean if they saw what I mean, look at
- 30:54Speaker 4: the Mariners. Look what the Mariners have done. How close
- 30:56Speaker 4: they were to winning a World Series? And they have clearly?
- 31:00Speaker 4: Have they pushed all in? Have they signed somebody a
- 31:02Speaker 4: two hundred fifty million dollars No, And I hope fans
- 31:05Speaker 4: don't get that twisted about. That's what we're saying, like
- 31:08Speaker 4: teams need to do to go all in, They just
- 31:12Speaker 4: need to, like the Mariners. Perfect example for me, A
- 31:16Speaker 4: plus for this offseason for the Mariners. With this last
- 31:18Speaker 4: move that they made, the Tigers can't say.
- 31:22Speaker 6: Wow, we loved, we loved.
- 31:25Speaker 4: What was going on in the postseason last year. We're
- 31:29Speaker 4: just not gonna quite push for this year. I don't
- 31:32Speaker 4: think they can truly say that, and I hope after
- 31:35Speaker 4: this case is over that their goal is then, Hey,
- 31:37Speaker 4: you know what, we are pushing it. We're taking all
- 31:39Speaker 4: our chips and just like Teddy KGB says, it was
- 31:44Speaker 4: splash the pots.
- 31:48Speaker 1: You mean, you might need to tell kids the reference movie.
- 31:52Speaker 2: It's Rounders, the movie Rounders.
- 31:54Speaker 4: It's a good movie. I randomly had sitting over here too.
- 32:09Speaker 1: So we have a couple important things to do. It
- 32:11Speaker 1: looks like AJ has decided where he is going to
- 32:15Speaker 1: shift his rooting interest for Sunday. Biggest Seahawks fan on
- 32:20Speaker 1: the planet. Actually, this is a perfect time to tee
- 32:22Speaker 1: you up on this one. Before we get to anything else,
- 32:24Speaker 1: I'd like to queue up the story about your Chicago
- 32:27Speaker 1: White Sox AJ installing a bidet for Murakami and making
- 32:33Speaker 1: him feel at home. That is a thumbs up from you,
- 32:36Speaker 1: two thumbs up from me. I'm a huge fan of bidets.
- 32:40Speaker 1: This is from your buddy, Scott Murkin. You're right, tomob
- 32:42Speaker 1: dot com. We can't bring them on, but we can
- 32:44Speaker 1: read the tweet. He said. The White Sox have a
- 32:46Speaker 1: new addition for their rate Field Home clubhouse, thanks in
- 32:49Speaker 1: part to an important new addition to their home clubhouse,
- 32:52Speaker 1: and that is Munataka Murakami, who recommended the addition of
- 32:56Speaker 1: a bidet aj take it away.
- 33:00Speaker 3: I can't wait to go poop in this but day
- 33:01Speaker 3: when I go to do a White Sox game this year.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Oh wait, Fox doesn't have any White Sox games this year,
- 33:07Speaker 2: so never mind. The clubhouse also a great point.
- 33:11Speaker 3: I am allowed in the clubhouse, but they're just not
- 33:13Speaker 3: allowed to go in the video room because Pedro Griffold
- 33:16Speaker 3: didn't think that was a good idea for me to.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Watch Heart of the Video people. I love this listen.
- 33:21Speaker 3: I had had one request when I built my house,
- 33:23Speaker 3: and that was I had to have a Japanese toilet.
- 33:25Speaker 2: We had this conversation once when Alana was on.
- 33:27Speaker 3: She couldn't believe it, and it was because Cogiuihara had
- 33:32Speaker 3: one in the in the Boston Clubhouse and I tried
- 33:34Speaker 3: that thing with the remote control and you sit there
- 33:36Speaker 3: and play games with it, and so I was like, yes,
- 33:39Speaker 3: I'm in on this. So I put one in my house.
- 33:40Speaker 3: I still have it. I love it.
- 33:42Speaker 2: And when you walk in and like in the morning
- 33:43Speaker 2: and you have to use the restroom, the sea pops
- 33:47Speaker 2: up and it just goes Oh, it just welcomes you
- 33:51Speaker 2: to your throne, Scott, And so I'm all for it.
- 33:54Speaker 2: I'm here for they They should be standard. They should
- 33:57Speaker 2: be standard.
- 33:59Speaker 1: I don't think we could ever be more on the
- 34:01Speaker 1: same page on a topic. You and me can be
- 34:03Speaker 1: step brothers at times. I am so on the same page.
- 34:06Speaker 1: And there are varying forms of premium toilets that you
- 34:11Speaker 1: can get. So my example is aj might have something
- 34:13Speaker 1: really bougie. Nowadays, they actually make like really nice products
- 34:16Speaker 1: you can get online for a few hundred bucks. You
- 34:18Speaker 1: have to like do a little more work with installing
- 34:20Speaker 1: them and everything. But I've got one and it's fantastic.
- 34:25Speaker 1: The music might not be as crazy good because we
- 34:27Speaker 1: might not have the licensing that AJS bougie one has,
- 34:30Speaker 1: but there are a lot of cool components to it,
- 34:33Speaker 1: including the heated seeds. So the White Sox are winning
- 34:36Speaker 1: this offseason with that move alone. Hey, we're talking a
- 34:40Speaker 1: lot more about them in positive light than we have
- 34:43Speaker 1: in the prior two years, So they're doing something right.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Over fifty two and a half, I'm taking over fifty
- 34:48Speaker 3: two and a half for the White Sox.
- 34:49Speaker 2: That's wait till you see the White Sox number.
- 34:53Speaker 4: Oh, it's gonna be such a great day that day
- 34:56Speaker 4: fifty two and a half.
- 34:57Speaker 3: And by the way, and by the way, let me
- 34:59Speaker 3: all so just say this about if you haven't been,
- 35:02Speaker 3: if you don't travel, and you've never been to Africa,
- 35:05Speaker 3: and you've never been to Dubai. And we had this
- 35:06Speaker 3: argument producer lady earlier on her production call. They don't
- 35:10Speaker 3: have the days. They have hoses. So you are in
- 35:13Speaker 3: there and if you use that part of your body,
- 35:16Speaker 3: they have a hose hanging on the wall. And I've
- 35:18Speaker 3: never tried it because I don't know how to hit
- 35:20Speaker 3: the right spot with the hose. I'm just saying they
- 35:23Speaker 3: just have a hose hanging there with with a little squirter.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Sure that's not for like the elephants or something out there.
- 35:33Speaker 2: No, it's Dubai. If you haven't been to Dubai.
- 35:36Speaker 1: I would say camels. But I'm saying if.
- 35:39Speaker 2: You get well, kras has been to Africa, Africa.
- 35:41Speaker 3: If you go like to real Africa Africa, like where
- 35:43Speaker 3: they're on Safari, they have a hole in the ground
- 35:46Speaker 3: and they might have a running hose where you can try.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Wow, don't tempt me to go. Don't tempt me krats
- 35:55Speaker 1: your hat, and then we'll shout out the Philly Show,
- 35:58Speaker 1: which just hit ten thousand subscribers on YouTube. But oh
- 36:01Speaker 1: that's fitting for today.
- 36:03Speaker 4: Yeah, we had a regular sized person even though he
- 36:06Speaker 4: just became a giant, he's still just regular sized Harrison Vader,
- 36:10Speaker 4: So I had to wear my giants hat.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Yep, just through regular size New York City kid who's
- 36:17Speaker 1: actually getting a nice little career put together here and
- 36:21Speaker 1: making some kashish as well. The Philly Show, part of
- 36:24Speaker 1: the FT Network, features tides like you, Jim Salisbury and
- 36:28Speaker 1: Rubinamar Junior. We just want to congratulate them on hitting
- 36:30Speaker 1: ten thousand subscribers on YouTube. If you'd like to give
- 36:33Speaker 1: them some love, then all you have to do is
- 36:34Speaker 1: give them one click and it would be really nice
- 36:37Speaker 1: for that free content. There was something interesting they brought
- 36:40Speaker 1: up on their show today that I will bring up tomorrow.
- 36:43Speaker 1: It revolves around a lineup change that I think is interesting.
- 36:47Speaker 1: I'll wait until tomorrow, or actually maybe even Thursday, since
- 36:51Speaker 1: Alan is going to take over tomorrow and she has
- 36:53Speaker 1: her own agenda for you guys, but we will talk
- 36:57Speaker 1: for everyone the usual one to three durned. I'm back
- 37:01Speaker 1: Thursday and Friday.
- 37:03Speaker 2: And three day to day to a.
- 37:06Speaker 1: J's gonna go hit the bedet. We'll see you later.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Hair cut day stop. You know what that means, man,
- 37:13Speaker 2: m hm m hm
