- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to the Rogue Recap.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hot takes, cold facts and zero respect for the official narrative.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Sit back, roll your eyes, and let's recap rogue style.
- 0:13Speaker 2: What's up? Welcome to the Roague Recap. It is Thursday,
- 0:15Speaker 2: June eighteenth, and tonight we're going to talk about something
- 0:19Speaker 2: that I love. I know you guys love it too.
- 0:21Speaker 2: And if you don't, too bad, We're gonna talk about
- 0:23Speaker 2: the Save Act. So, as I told you the other day,
- 0:28Speaker 2: I called that podcast why John Thune Sucks. And there
- 0:33Speaker 2: are so many things I could say about John Thune.
- 0:35Speaker 2: None of them are nice because I don't like John Thune.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I think that John Thune is a self aggrandizing, lying
- 0:41Speaker 2: sack of shit. And you know that might be uncomfortable
- 0:44Speaker 2: for some people, but he works for us, guys, he
- 0:47Speaker 2: works for us. We don't work for him. I'm so
- 0:51Speaker 2: sick of these elitist scumbags walking around Congress acting like
- 0:56Speaker 2: it is our privilege to talk to them. They get
- 1:00Speaker 2: paid by us, they live off of us, and they
- 1:04Speaker 2: are elected by us. Then they lie to us, they
- 1:07Speaker 2: abandon us, and they do whatever they want to further
- 1:11Speaker 2: their own personal agenda. And I say personal agenda because
- 1:15Speaker 2: it's not a political agenda, it's who do I have
- 1:18Speaker 2: to get in bed with? I'm saying that figuratively. Who
- 1:20Speaker 2: do I have to get in bed with to? You know,
- 1:23Speaker 2: butter my bread, build my bank account, get me a
- 1:27Speaker 2: new house, get me a new car. Who do I
- 1:29Speaker 2: have to be friends with? And that is what's happening
- 1:33Speaker 2: with the john Thuns, the Murkowski's, the Collins, the McConnell's,
- 1:37Speaker 2: all of these people. You think the Democrats are bad,
- 1:41Speaker 2: I'll tell you what. I know that Dick Durbin is
- 1:44Speaker 2: a dick before anything else happens. Hey doesn't need to
- 1:47Speaker 2: tell me. I already know. I know that Bernie is
- 1:51Speaker 2: a lunatic. You don't need to tell me. I already know. Mom,
- 1:56Speaker 2: Donnie scumbag liar Islamic radical. You don't need to tell me.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I already know. But when somebody like John Thune comes
- 2:05Speaker 2: into the room and says all these lies to the cameras, saying, well,
- 2:10Speaker 2: there's no way for us to pass a Save Act,
- 2:13Speaker 2: and I've tried, but you know we don't have the votes.
- 2:15Speaker 2: You haven't tried anything. The only thing that you have
- 2:19Speaker 2: tried is to completely and utterly trash President Trump's agenda
- 2:24Speaker 2: at every turn, at every opportunity for the last year
- 2:28Speaker 2: and a half of his tenure here, so that you
- 2:31Speaker 2: can keep doing what you want to do, which is
- 2:33Speaker 2: establishment at Rhino bullshit. You want to make sure that
- 2:37Speaker 2: John Thune's perfect little world, which at home is one
- 2:40Speaker 2: that is comprised of Democrats, stays exactly as it is.
- 2:44Speaker 2: And you got real upset when President Trump said, oh,
- 2:47Speaker 2: you know your best buddy, John Cornyn, he's another lying
- 2:51Speaker 2: sack of shit. We're going to kick him to the
- 2:52Speaker 2: curb and we're going to endorse Ken Paxton. Now you
- 2:55Speaker 2: might say Ken Paxton's a bad guy. He cheated on
- 2:58Speaker 2: his wife, he had an affair, pointed his girlfriend, she
- 3:01Speaker 2: got a job. Okay, I'll tell you what. I'm going
- 3:04Speaker 2: to side with Ken Paxton because Ken Paxton never made
- 3:07Speaker 2: a video where he said inshallah and spoke in Arabic
- 3:11Speaker 2: to the Muslim communities of Texas. So you know what,
- 3:14Speaker 2: I'm on Kem Paxton's side because there's a lot of
- 3:16Speaker 2: guys in this world who are okay guys except for
- 3:18Speaker 2: the fact that they can't keep it in their pants.
- 3:20Speaker 2: And while I don't like that, and I'm blessed with
- 3:21Speaker 2: a husband that doesn't do that. There are a lot
- 3:24Speaker 2: of men that are like that, and they're great dads,
- 3:26Speaker 2: and they're great friends, and they run great companies, but
- 3:29Speaker 2: they have no moral compass, but they still do a
- 3:31Speaker 2: great job and everything else to do. So I'm gonna
- 3:33Speaker 2: take my chances with Kem Paxton and the good things
- 3:36Speaker 2: that he's done and the great things that he's done
- 3:38Speaker 2: as an attorney general. And I am going to look
- 3:41Speaker 2: at John Cornyn and I'm going to say, well, you
- 3:44Speaker 2: are an establishment rhino who's been in office for over
- 3:47Speaker 2: thirty years. If I look at your legislative career, what
- 3:51Speaker 2: have you done for me lately? Oh? I know nothing,
- 3:54Speaker 2: absolutely nothing, because the Trump derangement syndrome, and it is
- 3:58Speaker 2: that all of these people, their entire political presence revolves
- 4:04Speaker 2: around Trump. It's insane. I like Trump, don't get me wrong.
- 4:08Speaker 2: I got a picture of him up in my office.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Think he's a great guy, he does good things. He's
- 4:12Speaker 2: another one who can't keep it in his pants. But
- 4:14Speaker 2: my point is we have a situation where people think
- 4:18Speaker 2: that everything revolves around Trump. I don't agree with everything
- 4:21Speaker 2: that Trump says, far from it, but you can't like
- 4:25Speaker 2: everything about everybody. Right, It's even when you pick your
- 4:29Speaker 2: best friends, or you look at your kids friends or
- 4:32Speaker 2: things that your family members do, you know, you have
- 4:34Speaker 2: to look at the greater good. You have to look
- 4:37Speaker 2: at is it a sixty forty? Is it a ninety ten? Like?
- 4:40Speaker 2: What are we talking about? Right? My point in saying
- 4:42Speaker 2: all this is John Thune is a zero zero. Okay,
- 4:46Speaker 2: there is nothing about John Thune that I want. And
- 4:48Speaker 2: he can take all of his rhino, lying scumbag lifers, careers,
- 4:53Speaker 2: term limit make I mean, please today, could we have
- 4:56Speaker 2: term limits? Get out? You can take all of them
- 5:00Speaker 2: to the curb because Mike Lee and Senator Kennedy now
- 5:04Speaker 2: Senator Kennedy is one of the authors of the Save
- 5:07Speaker 2: Act and he was recently on Fox News and he
- 5:10Speaker 2: was talking about the Save Act because President Trump has
- 5:13Speaker 2: now attached it and has been trying to attach it
- 5:15Speaker 2: to various pieces of legislation that have to go before
- 5:18Speaker 2: the Senate. And of course John Thune's like, well, you
- 5:19Speaker 2: can't do that, you can't attach it. And mind you,
- 5:22Speaker 2: he's got the Senate parliamentarian as well, who's this dumb
- 5:24Speaker 2: broad that was assigned to that position? I think it
- 5:27Speaker 2: was by Harry Reid and so, you know, and kept
- 5:30Speaker 2: on through Obama and Biden and YadA, YadA, YadA. And
- 5:33Speaker 2: she's awful. She's another rhino lying Democrat. So she is
- 5:38Speaker 2: obviously striking down everything and anything that comes before the
- 5:41Speaker 2: Senate because as a Senate parliamentarian, she can strike things
- 5:45Speaker 2: and say no, you can't vote on this, or this
- 5:47Speaker 2: is not okay, or we're not going to take this
- 5:48Speaker 2: to the floor. This is an unelected person. This is
- 5:52Speaker 2: a person who gets a nod from one senator and
- 5:54Speaker 2: then gets a nod from some other senators and has
- 5:57Speaker 2: the pleasure of serving at you know, for the Senate.
- 6:01Speaker 2: But the problem is that she is not doing the
- 6:03Speaker 2: will of the people. The bigger problem is the people
- 6:06Speaker 2: that were elected by us are also not doing the
- 6:09Speaker 2: will of the people. So we have sort of this
- 6:12Speaker 2: terrible cycle of disrespect for the American people. And I
- 6:15Speaker 2: don't know about you, but I've had it. I have
- 6:17Speaker 2: had it. So now we have Mike Lee and we
- 6:21Speaker 2: have Senator Kennedy and we have President Trump, who have
- 6:24Speaker 2: all brought the Save Act and they've said we will
- 6:28Speaker 2: vote on it. Now we have a simple majority of
- 6:30Speaker 2: people that approve of the Save Act. The Vice President
- 6:34Speaker 2: can come in and he can be the voice of
- 6:36Speaker 2: reason and get it over the finish line. But Fun
- 6:40Speaker 2: has to allow that to happen because he is the
- 6:42Speaker 2: Senate majority leader. Now he can also remove the parliamentarian.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Why we can't get rid of Fun. I can't understand
- 6:49Speaker 2: the legislative process enough. I'm trying to figure out where
- 6:54Speaker 2: we can get somebody to come in and get rid
- 6:57Speaker 2: of this guy. I don't know what that processes, you know,
- 7:02Speaker 2: I really don't, but I wish that it could happen.
- 7:05Speaker 2: And I find it troubling that our senators asigned from
- 7:09Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer, who's like, I'll debate all night and day.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I'll make it my life's work to debate, you know,
- 7:15Speaker 2: the Save Act. Because Chuck is lost, right, Chuck is
- 7:18Speaker 2: like in the in the later part of his life.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Nobody likes Chuck. So he's trying to ingratiate himself with
- 7:24Speaker 2: some people and say, I'm going to fight so that
- 7:26Speaker 2: illegal immigrants can vote. It's crazy to ask people for id.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Here's the funny part. Don't forget this and this is
- 7:32Speaker 2: the other thing. We forget a lot of things that happen,
- 7:35Speaker 2: because there's so much happening when these people go into vote,
- 7:41Speaker 2: both in the House and the Senate. Do you know
- 7:42Speaker 2: what they do first? In order to get into the rotunda,
- 7:46Speaker 2: in order to get onto the Senate floor, onto the
- 7:48Speaker 2: Congressional floor, what do they have to show to walk around?
- 7:51Speaker 2: Go ahead, I'll give you a few guesses. That's right,
- 7:53Speaker 2: ID okay. So now they go in, they got to
- 7:56Speaker 2: cast their vote. What do they have to show to
- 7:58Speaker 2: cast their vote? Well, they have to show them ID
- 8:00Speaker 2: to get on the floor. Then they have to go
- 8:02Speaker 2: to their assigned station, and then they have to physically
- 8:04Speaker 2: take their ID and place it on a scanner to
- 8:08Speaker 2: show it is them voting. So you're telling me that
- 8:13Speaker 2: a bunch of people who can't go anywhere within the
- 8:15Speaker 2: building that they work or cast a vote without showing
- 8:19Speaker 2: ID think it is completely okay to have the number
- 8:22Speaker 2: one most coveted office in all the world be voted
- 8:26Speaker 2: upon by people who don't show ID. It sounds crazy
- 8:30Speaker 2: because it is. These are common sense principles. Eighty four
- 8:34Speaker 2: percent of Americans approve of the Save Act, eighty four
- 8:39Speaker 2: percent of Americans not, eighty four percent of Democrats and
- 8:42Speaker 2: not eighty four percent of Republicans of Americans. Both sides
- 8:47Speaker 2: of the aisle want election integrity because both sides of
- 8:50Speaker 2: the aisle think that the other side is going to
- 8:52Speaker 2: steal it from them. The problem is they're not stealing
- 8:55Speaker 2: it from each other. They're stealing it from us. They're
- 8:58Speaker 2: stealing it from us. This is an us them game.
- 9:02Speaker 2: The uniparty is a very real thing now. We do
- 9:06Speaker 2: have left and right wings of these parties that are
- 9:10Speaker 2: extremists who actually think they're in there to make a
- 9:12Speaker 2: difference on either one of those sides. But the people
- 9:15Speaker 2: that are actually running the show, the people that I've
- 9:18Speaker 2: been there for decades upon decades, they're all working together
- 9:21Speaker 2: because they all want the same thing. They want their
- 9:24Speaker 2: big single homes that they should never be able to
- 9:26Speaker 2: afford on a congressional salary. They want to work with
- 9:29Speaker 2: all their lobbyists from K Street so they can get
- 9:31Speaker 2: all of their special benefits and privileges. They want to
- 9:34Speaker 2: take their very long vacations because they only work about
- 9:37Speaker 2: one hundred and thirty five days a year. And that's
- 9:39Speaker 2: another thing about Dune. You remember when we couldn't fund
- 9:42Speaker 2: the government and we didn't have TSA and people weren't
- 9:45Speaker 2: able to fly, and there were six and seven hour flights.
- 9:47Speaker 2: There were members of Congress who stood in line alongside
- 9:51Speaker 2: the American people. And guess who didn't. Oh, that's right,
- 9:56Speaker 2: John Thune. Never let John Thune full you. Never let
- 10:01Speaker 2: John Thun convince you that he gives a rip about you,
- 10:06Speaker 2: because he doesn't. He does not care one bit. And
- 10:10Speaker 2: the issue that we have now is that we need
- 10:13Speaker 2: enough senators to sack up and say, hey, John up yours,
- 10:18Speaker 2: we're voting on the Save Act. Tough shit. Sorry, you
- 10:21Speaker 2: don't like it, Get on the House floor, get on
- 10:24Speaker 2: the Senate floor, and explain to us why you don't
- 10:29Speaker 2: like it. Put your money where your mouth is, John,
- 10:32Speaker 2: I guarantee you it's going to get real ugly, real quick.
- 10:35Speaker 2: If John Thune has to cast his vote for the
- 10:39Speaker 2: Save Act and tell us why or why not he's
- 10:42Speaker 2: not doing it. How is John Thune from South Dakota
- 10:46Speaker 2: going to tell his South Dakota and voters why he
- 10:49Speaker 2: is unable to support a vote for a legislation that says, hey,
- 10:55Speaker 2: in order to vote in our general election, in any
- 10:57Speaker 2: election in the United States, you have to be an American.
- 11:02Speaker 2: You have to be a citizen. You have to show
- 11:05Speaker 2: id the idea that this is a problem. When so
- 11:09Speaker 2: many people are stealing from the government, so many people
- 11:12Speaker 2: are committing fraud in so many ways, tax fraud, ppe fraud,
- 11:17Speaker 2: medicaid fraud, medicare fraud, you name it, they're doing it.
- 11:21Speaker 2: There's a ninety eight percent rate of autism and children
- 11:25Speaker 2: born to Somalian women in Minnesota. Nobody thinks that's weird.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Nobody thinks that's an outlier. How many people are voting
- 11:33Speaker 2: under false identities because they're illegal aliens. How many people
- 11:37Speaker 2: who are junked up on skid row are voting in
- 11:41Speaker 2: names that they got paid to vote in for two
- 11:43Speaker 2: in five bucks because they need their next hit. These
- 11:45Speaker 2: are real things. So Mike Lee goes on the show
- 11:49Speaker 2: and he explains this very simply, how the Save Act
- 11:54Speaker 2: needs to go in order to make this happen. Take
- 11:57Speaker 2: a listen word for Save America Act.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Yes there is, Kaylee, and I respectfully but very strongly
- 12:06Speaker 1: disagree with my colleague from South Dakota on that. In
- 12:09Speaker 1: the first place, the Save America Act, as passed by
- 12:11Speaker 1: the House of Representatives does have a simple majority support
- 12:15Speaker 1: in the United States. Senate. Now we don't have sixty votes.
- 12:18Speaker 1: We're about ten votes shy of achieving cloture. There are
- 12:22Speaker 1: other ways of breaking a filibuster that don't involve resort
- 12:25Speaker 1: to cloture. You don't actually have to have sixty votes
- 12:29Speaker 1: to pass a bill. You just have to have sixty
- 12:31Speaker 1: votes to force cloture. But you can break a filibuster
- 12:34Speaker 1: through other means. My preferred means, particularly for this bill.
- 12:37Speaker 1: The House passed Save America Act, which I believe would work.
- 12:40Speaker 1: We put the Save America Act on the floor today,
- 12:44Speaker 1: not the expanded version, the one that actually passed by
- 12:46Speaker 1: the House for which there is a simple majority support
- 12:48Speaker 1: in the Senate. You put that on the floor today.
- 12:51Speaker 1: If the majority leader were to announce we're going to
- 12:54Speaker 1: debate this until we pass it, we would get to
- 12:57Speaker 1: the point of passage. You can't do this all the
- 13:00Speaker 1: time because it would take a lot of time. This
- 13:02Speaker 1: is how they passed the Civil Rights Active nineteen sixty four.
- 13:05Speaker 1: At the time that bill came over in March of
- 13:07Speaker 1: that year from the House of Representatives, they were about
- 13:09Speaker 1: thirty votes shy of cloture. We're only ten votes short.
- 13:13Speaker 1: But the majority leader at the time Mike Mansfield from Montana,
- 13:16Speaker 1: to his credits, said, you know what, we're thirty votes
- 13:19Speaker 1: shy of cloture, but we're going to debate this bill
- 13:21Speaker 1: until it passes. And you know what happened. That bill
- 13:24Speaker 1: got more popular. Those who were obstructing it got less popular.
- 13:28Speaker 1: They started negotiating the terms of their exit ramp. They
- 13:32Speaker 1: negotiated changes to the text that made them feel better
- 13:35Speaker 1: about it and help them save face. It ended up passing.
- 13:38Speaker 1: That takes legislative courage to do that, and that's what
- 13:41Speaker 1: we need in the Senate. We could pass it. Don't
- 13:44Speaker 1: fall for the hype that this is undoable. It's only
- 13:47Speaker 1: undoable if we choose not to go to the effort.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I don't say that about every bill, but I do
- 13:52Speaker 1: say that about a bill that enjoys the support of
- 13:54Speaker 1: somewhere between seventy and eighty percent of Americans, Republicans and
- 13:57Speaker 1: Democrats alike. This bill needs to pass, and we could
- 14:00Speaker 1: do it. Senator Lee, thank you for all.
- 14:02Speaker 2: For How incredible is that right? Senator Lee is such
- 14:07Speaker 2: a wealth of knowledge. The guy is an attorney, he's
- 14:11Speaker 2: a senator, he is a terrific friend. He's just an
- 14:15Speaker 2: all around great guy, and people can't stand him because
- 14:18Speaker 2: he tells the truth, because he stands up against the majority,
- 14:22Speaker 2: he stands up against everybody else and says, hey, guess what,
- 14:25Speaker 2: I don't like this. I think we should do the
- 14:27Speaker 2: right thing by the American people. And all of his
- 14:30Speaker 2: senator friends get real mad at him because he makes
- 14:32Speaker 2: them very uncomfortable because he says the quiet part out
- 14:36Speaker 2: loud and he comes with receipts. He's like, hey, remember
- 14:39Speaker 2: the Civil Rights Act that went before the Senate and
- 14:41Speaker 2: nobody wanted to vote on it, and blah blah blah,
- 14:44Speaker 2: Well we did it and they were thirty vote shy.
- 14:47Speaker 2: We're not thirty vote shy, we're ten vote shy. How
- 14:51Speaker 2: cool is that? How great is it that we're only
- 14:55Speaker 2: missing ten votes? And if we exhaust them on the floor,
- 14:59Speaker 2: if we are you our points. If every Senator has
- 15:02Speaker 2: to come up and defend their position and explain why
- 15:07Speaker 2: it is that they don't want to vote for the
- 15:09Speaker 2: Save Act, it's going to get really weird really quick,
- 15:12Speaker 2: because if you have to stand there and say stupid,
- 15:15Speaker 2: stupid things like Chuck Schumer was saying, which is women
- 15:19Speaker 2: who got married, they changed their name and then their
- 15:23Speaker 2: their name doesn't match their ID, and then they can't vote.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Are you kidding me? Are you saying that women are
- 15:29Speaker 2: that dumb? Any woman who got married, I'm married. I
- 15:33Speaker 2: can tell you how it works. It's not hard. You
- 15:35Speaker 2: fill out a form, they change your name, and then
- 15:39Speaker 2: they give you an ID, or you don't change your
- 15:43Speaker 2: name and you have an ID. Whatever name is yours
- 15:47Speaker 2: is the one you're going to use on all of
- 15:48Speaker 2: your official documents. So if my name is Lynda McLaughlin
- 15:52Speaker 2: and that's the name I'm using, it's going to say
- 15:55Speaker 2: that on my ID, and then when I go in,
- 15:57Speaker 2: I'll be able to prove that I am an America
- 16:00Speaker 2: and citizen. Now, if I have a birth certificate and
- 16:03Speaker 2: I happen to change my name and my birth certificate
- 16:07Speaker 2: says Linda McLaughlin, but my married name is something else,
- 16:10Speaker 2: you know what else I'll have? Oh? I know I'll
- 16:13Speaker 2: have a marriage certificate because I did that too, and
- 16:16Speaker 2: they gave me a piece of paper that said, hey,
- 16:19Speaker 2: do you want to be McLaughlin to McLaughlin and not
- 16:21Speaker 2: take your husband's name, or do you want to be
- 16:23Speaker 2: McLaughlin to your husband's name? Go ahead, we'll wait figure
- 16:27Speaker 2: it out and then you get IDs in that name.
- 16:30Speaker 2: This bullshit that women cannot figure this out is so
- 16:34Speaker 2: ridiculous it is actually insulting. I'm like, I have an NBA,
- 16:39Speaker 2: I run a company, I have children, I have a mortgage.
- 16:42Speaker 2: I am able to figure out the ID process in
- 16:44Speaker 2: the United States of America, and clearly so are a
- 16:47Speaker 2: bunch of other people because they're able to get those
- 16:49Speaker 2: IDs to file for all of the fake crap that
- 16:54Speaker 2: they're getting on our taxpayer dollars. So if you're saying
- 16:57Speaker 2: that people aren't able to do this, you're one of
- 16:59Speaker 2: two things. You are very dumb or you're lying. I'm
- 17:03Speaker 2: going to go with the latter, because I don't think
- 17:04Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer's dumb. I think he's a conniving piece of
- 17:07Speaker 2: you know what. So this is the sort of thing
- 17:10Speaker 2: that they're going to say on the floor. But imagine
- 17:13Speaker 2: having to fill a buster and fight and talk and
- 17:17Speaker 2: defend your lack of support for a bill that over
- 17:21Speaker 2: eighty percent of America wants. Eighty percent of America is
- 17:24Speaker 2: going to get pissed off pretty quickly, and then Chuck's
- 17:26Speaker 2: going to be like, hmm, this isn't good for me.
- 17:28Speaker 2: I'm not doing great here, and Chuck's going to need
- 17:31Speaker 2: to decide. Do I want to stay aligned with my
- 17:34Speaker 2: lunatic friends in the Democrat Party who don't even like
- 17:37Speaker 2: me anymore? Or do I want to go out on
- 17:40Speaker 2: the high road. Do I want to go out and
- 17:41Speaker 2: be remembered as the guy who said, eh, to hell
- 17:44Speaker 2: with it. I'm going to do the right thing for once.
- 17:46Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm not sure what he's going to do,
- 17:48Speaker 2: but I will tell you what. Senator Mike Lee is
- 17:51Speaker 2: absolutely right. John Thune can bring this to the floor
- 17:55Speaker 2: right now. But John Thune wants to go home to
- 17:59Speaker 2: South Dakota for July fourth, then he wants to grow
- 18:02Speaker 2: with his family. Well, tough shit, John Dune. Tough freaking shit.
- 18:07Speaker 2: It's enough already. We're sick of it. We want the
- 18:10Speaker 2: Save Act and we want it now. And guess what
- 18:13Speaker 2: we can get it. We need more people standing up
- 18:17Speaker 2: next to Mike Lee, next to Senator Kennedy. We need Cruise,
- 18:21Speaker 2: we need Tuberville, we need britt Where are you guys?
- 18:24Speaker 2: Every time I see Throne out there speaking, you know
- 18:26Speaker 2: who I see next to him? Barrasso, Langford, Corpedo. What
- 18:32Speaker 2: are you guys doing? Why are you hitching your wagon
- 18:36Speaker 2: to the guy that's going over the cliff? Even the
- 18:40Speaker 2: horses left him. Stop it already. I'm gonna play this
- 18:43Speaker 2: cut here. As you can tell, I'm very upset about this,
- 18:45Speaker 2: and I apologize, so I'm probably screaming. I want you
- 18:48Speaker 2: to listen to Senator Kennedy. This is Senator Kennedy Alma
- 18:51Speaker 2: Shannon Breem, and I love him because he makes some
- 18:54Speaker 2: funny jokes, as he always does. But just take a
- 18:55Speaker 2: listen to him as he explains his position on the
- 18:58Speaker 2: Save Act.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Well, the Senate is notoriously slow. Sometimes it takes us
- 19:07Speaker 3: months to get nothing done, but the Save Act is
- 19:11Speaker 3: a priority. I'm a co author, John. I agree with
- 19:15Speaker 3: everything the President said in his tweet. They haven't seen it.
- 19:18Speaker 3: John Thune's promised to bring the bill to the floor.
- 19:21Speaker 3: I don't know when he's going to do that, but
- 19:24Speaker 3: he is going to do that. I anticipated it'll be
- 19:27Speaker 3: in the next few weeks. Will it pass?
- 19:31Speaker 2: I think so.
- 19:31Speaker 3: It just depends we've got some free range. The Democrats
- 19:34Speaker 3: will be against it, but we've got some free range
- 19:38Speaker 3: chickens on the Republican side, and we're gonna have to
- 19:41Speaker 3: go gather them up.
- 19:42Speaker 2: So to get to sixty, though, is the thought that
- 19:44Speaker 2: this would be a reconciliation bill so you don't have
- 19:47Speaker 2: to get to the sixty Is there a single Democrat?
- 19:49Speaker 2: Are there several Democrats who would vote with you on
- 19:51Speaker 2: the save?
- 19:53Speaker 3: I would do it through reconciliation. We could short circuit
- 19:56Speaker 3: all of this, but I'm in a minority. I have
- 20:00Speaker 3: the chased senator phone my good friend like a stone
- 20:05Speaker 3: Thanksgiving to try to get him to do a reconciliation.
- 20:10Speaker 3: This would be perfect for reconciliation.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Okay.
- 20:13Speaker 3: I also want to touch on the economy because you
- 20:15Speaker 3: heard Senator Warren.
- 20:17Speaker 2: So here's my problem with what Senator Kennedy just said,
- 20:21Speaker 2: and I will just post this. First of all, I
- 20:23Speaker 2: think he's hilarious.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Right.
- 20:24Speaker 2: We got to gather the free range chickens, which means
- 20:26Speaker 2: all the chicken shit Republicans who are too afraid to
- 20:29Speaker 2: take a stand and actually do something that would actually
- 20:31Speaker 2: make the American people proud to call them senator, which
- 20:34Speaker 2: quite frankly, I don't want to call anybody senator except
- 20:36Speaker 2: Mike Lee these days. But Senator Lee says that we
- 20:39Speaker 2: can pass this as reconciliation. Now what I don't understand
- 20:43Speaker 2: in that is reconciliation normally has to do with the economy.
- 20:47Speaker 2: It has to do with the budget. So I don't
- 20:50Speaker 2: actually know how they would maneuver the Save Act, which
- 20:54Speaker 2: has absolutely nothing to do with the budget or the economy,
- 20:57Speaker 2: unless you're saying, I mean, would be a stretch, unless
- 21:01Speaker 2: you're saying, well, we have to get the right people
- 21:02Speaker 2: in office because we want to make sure that they
- 21:04Speaker 2: handle the budget in the economy of the United States
- 21:08Speaker 2: above board, and we can track that they are Americans
- 21:11Speaker 2: and citizens in order to handle those finances. Like I'm
- 21:14Speaker 2: trying to figure out how they're tying this in. I
- 21:17Speaker 2: truly don't understand it. And what I have read about
- 21:20Speaker 2: the pathways to get this done is that reconciliation is
- 21:24Speaker 2: not part of what they can do. So I need
- 21:26Speaker 2: to look into that a little bit more. Maybe I'll
- 21:28Speaker 2: ask Senator Leave if you can join us on the
- 21:30Speaker 2: show so we can talk through it. But I'm definitely
- 21:32Speaker 2: a little bit perplexed about how that would work. But
- 21:35Speaker 2: here's another Senator who is talking about fighting anybody from
- 21:42Speaker 2: the Trump administration who would put in security measures at
- 21:47Speaker 2: the ballot box at our campaign locations. At the polls.
- 21:51Speaker 2: So think about this. This is an elected senator, This
- 21:54Speaker 2: is Alissa Slockin, and she is at you know, the
- 22:00Speaker 2: the dais giving this explanation for this new bill that
- 22:05Speaker 2: she's putting forth where she wants to mandate that President
- 22:08Speaker 2: Trump has to come before the Congress to get anything
- 22:13Speaker 2: passed to allow for military presence at our polling stations.
- 22:19Speaker 2: I want you to just listen to this and you
- 22:21Speaker 2: tell me what you hear.
- 22:24Speaker 4: So we're introducing Protect our Polls Act, and it does
- 22:27Speaker 4: three big things. Number one, it requires that President Trump
- 22:32Speaker 4: come to Congress to get approval before he would ever
- 22:36Speaker 4: deploy uniform military to our polls.
- 22:39Speaker 2: There is only.
- 22:40Speaker 4: One legal way to send uniform military to the polls
- 22:44Speaker 4: on our books, and that is to quote repel armed
- 22:47Speaker 4: enemies of the United States. We have never done this
- 22:51Speaker 4: in our history, not during World War II when we
- 22:53Speaker 4: were in the middle of combat operations, not just months
- 22:56Speaker 4: after nine to eleven when we had been attacked on
- 22:58Speaker 4: our own style. We have never in our history sent
- 23:01Speaker 4: uniform military into our polls during an election. So if
- 23:06Speaker 4: Trump wants to do that and use this narrow exception,
- 23:09Speaker 4: he should be able to come to Congress and seek
- 23:11Speaker 4: our approval to do that.
- 23:13Speaker 2: But how can you seek your approval to do that
- 23:15Speaker 2: when you're part of the group of individuals that supported
- 23:19Speaker 2: the twenty three million illegal aliens that are currently in
- 23:24Speaker 2: our country. The reason that they didn't have to do
- 23:27Speaker 2: it during World War Two, the reason we didn't have
- 23:29Speaker 2: to do it after nine to eleven, was because people
- 23:32Speaker 2: had a sense of being American that we've never had before.
- 23:35Speaker 2: If you talk to any World War two vet or
- 23:38Speaker 2: anyone who was born during that time, lived during that time,
- 23:41Speaker 2: has any experience during that time, they will tell you
- 23:44Speaker 2: that they never saw such a patriotic America. They will
- 23:47Speaker 2: tell you they never felt more proud to be an American.
- 23:50Speaker 2: On nine to eleven, if you were in a building,
- 23:52Speaker 2: around a building in New York, New Jersey the surrounding area,
- 23:56Speaker 2: people were different because life was very valuable, because we
- 24:00Speaker 2: saw how quickly it could escape from us be taken
- 24:04Speaker 2: from us. So now we are in a situation where
- 24:08Speaker 2: people don't respect that anymore because it's been too long
- 24:11Speaker 2: since they've seen anything really come to their doorstep, knock
- 24:16Speaker 2: on their door and take their lives away from them
- 24:18Speaker 2: as they know it. But now we have illegal immigrants
- 24:21Speaker 2: all over this country doing just that. They want to
- 24:24Speaker 2: stop hanging our flag. They want to stop singing the
- 24:27Speaker 2: national anthem. They want to stop doing the pledge of allegiance.
- 24:30Speaker 2: They don't want to be called the United States of America.
- 24:32Speaker 2: They just want to be called the United States. They
- 24:34Speaker 2: want to make sure that we have to accept everybody
- 24:37Speaker 2: for just how they are, except for oh, I don't know,
- 24:40Speaker 2: conservatives right and now. They don't want to protect our
- 24:43Speaker 2: polls because they know that illegal aliens who do not
- 24:46Speaker 2: have the right to vote, who do not pay into
- 24:49Speaker 2: our tax system, who do not have the right to select,
- 24:52Speaker 2: those people who oversee the rest of us, who have
- 24:55Speaker 2: to pay for everything that they get, So why should
- 24:59Speaker 2: they be able to vote for things that affect us
- 25:03Speaker 2: that they benefit from. Really, think about that. The people
- 25:07Speaker 2: that they want to allow to the polls are the
- 25:09Speaker 2: people that they are rewarding with all of these ill
- 25:12Speaker 2: begotten gains that they shouldn't have. They are getting them
- 25:16Speaker 2: on the backs of the hard working American people, you
- 25:19Speaker 2: and me. So if they want to come from another
- 25:22Speaker 2: country and they hate our country, but they heard that
- 25:25Speaker 2: money grows on trees, credit cards fall everywhere hotel rooms
- 25:29Speaker 2: are given for free, cell phones are given for free,
- 25:32Speaker 2: will feed your kids, will give your free doctors, and
- 25:34Speaker 2: we'll leave our veterans on the street. And they're not wrong.
- 25:38Speaker 2: They are not wrong. That's exactly what we're doing. And
- 25:41Speaker 2: people like slocking and people like you know, Swallwell and
- 25:47Speaker 2: Reuben Diego and Dick Durbin and Chuck Schumer and Ilhan
- 25:52Speaker 2: Omar and Zaia Paul, you name it. All of these
- 25:57Speaker 2: people hate our United States of America. As we approach
- 26:00Speaker 2: two hundred and fifty years, do not be confused about
- 26:05Speaker 2: who loves our country and who doesn't. Slockin does not
- 26:08Speaker 2: love our country. Yeah, sure, she served, she was in
- 26:10Speaker 2: the military. Okay, great, what has it gotten us lately?
- 26:13Speaker 2: Does she want to protect the American vote? Does she
- 26:16Speaker 2: want to allow the taxpayers to be able to save
- 26:18Speaker 2: a little bit of money so that they can take
- 26:20Speaker 2: their kids on vacation one day so they can pay
- 26:22Speaker 2: for their daughter's wedding, or does she want to blindside us,
- 26:26Speaker 2: fill the polls with illegal aliens, steal elections with fake
- 26:30Speaker 2: votes so that we can keep the same scumbags in
- 26:32Speaker 2: office so they can keep doing the same thing to
- 26:34Speaker 2: us Over and over and over again, so that fraud
- 26:37Speaker 2: becomes the norm. It's not right, and people like me
- 26:43Speaker 2: and like you are sick of it. So we have
- 26:46Speaker 2: to support the Mike Lees, we have to support the Kennedys.
- 26:49Speaker 2: You want to tell the Senate how you're feeling about
- 26:51Speaker 2: the parliamentarian and John Thune and all of his little
- 26:55Speaker 2: rhino friends call them two O two two two four
- 26:58Speaker 2: three one two one. I'll repeat two O two two
- 27:02Speaker 2: two four three one two one. I am one of
- 27:05Speaker 2: those people who has a number memorized. And why do
- 27:07Speaker 2: I have that number memorized? Because I'm sick of it
- 27:11Speaker 2: and I want them to hear me. And they have
- 27:13Speaker 2: some poor kid answer in the phone typically who has
- 27:15Speaker 2: no idea what's going on. They're probably an intern for
- 27:18Speaker 2: all I know, and you can never get to them.
- 27:20Speaker 2: And why can't you get to them because they don't
- 27:22Speaker 2: want to hear from you. I go full circle back
- 27:25Speaker 2: to the start of this show. They are elitist, they
- 27:28Speaker 2: are privileged, and they don't give a rip about how
- 27:31Speaker 2: you're feeling. They don't care about the fact that it
- 27:35Speaker 2: is upsetting, or it is discouraging, or it's too hard
- 27:39Speaker 2: for a regular working American to get by today. How
- 27:43Speaker 2: many more illegal aliens are we going to support? I'm
- 27:47Speaker 2: gonna tell you right now, it's gonna get a lot
- 27:49Speaker 2: worse if they're allowed to vote in this general election,
- 27:51Speaker 2: because they are being paid, they are being bussed, they
- 27:55Speaker 2: are being funneled all the information that they need to
- 27:58Speaker 2: get to these polls. Vote for these Democrats and crush us.
- 28:01Speaker 2: And let me tell you something else. We're not able
- 28:04Speaker 2: to count our votes in one day. Why do you
- 28:06Speaker 2: think that is? Why do you think that is? They
- 28:09Speaker 2: will tell you this is a problem. They will tell
- 28:13Speaker 2: you that everything is fine and they just need time
- 28:16Speaker 2: to make sure that everything lines up in the signature's lineup.
- 28:19Speaker 2: What are you talking about. You don't care about voter integrity,
- 28:22Speaker 2: you don't care about ID, but you want to match signatures.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Give me a freaking break. You are trying to figure
- 28:28Speaker 2: out how to backfill how short you are, so that
- 28:31Speaker 2: you can make sure the person you picked that you
- 28:34Speaker 2: need to be in office to get done what you've
- 28:36Speaker 2: already promised somebody else you're going to get done because
- 28:39Speaker 2: you are trying to steal from the American people. And
- 28:42Speaker 2: when I say steal, I mean everything. Steal your vote,
- 28:45Speaker 2: steal your money, steal your livelihood, steal everything about the
- 28:49Speaker 2: nation as you know it. It's not right whether you're
- 28:55Speaker 2: whether you're a Republican or a Democrat. This should bother you.
- 28:58Speaker 2: It should bother you that people who don't pay into
- 29:01Speaker 2: the system get to vote on how the system is
- 29:04Speaker 2: run and guess what they wanted to run exactly the
- 29:06Speaker 2: way that it is, so that they can keep robing
- 29:08Speaker 2: you blind. We have to fight back, We have to
- 29:12Speaker 2: use our voices, and we have to make it stop.
- 29:15Speaker 2: President Trump is attaching it to the bill. Mike Lee
- 29:17Speaker 2: has shown us a path of how we can get
- 29:19Speaker 2: there and make them work for it. And I use
- 29:21Speaker 2: that word work very strongly, because they're going to have
- 29:24Speaker 2: to work. And then we're going to have to hear
- 29:26Speaker 2: why Rhino Murkowski doesn't want to defend the people of Alaska,
- 29:31Speaker 2: Why Susan Collins doesn't want to defend the people of Maine.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Why John Thune doesn't want to defend the people of
- 29:38Speaker 2: South Dakota. How fun would that be to hear it
- 29:42Speaker 2: from them put it in their own words. I would
- 29:44Speaker 2: love to hear it. I would like nothing else then
- 29:47Speaker 2: to hear these guys have to stand up and explain
- 29:50Speaker 2: why they want to lie to you. And if you're
- 29:53Speaker 2: like me, you're going to use that number and you're
- 29:55Speaker 2: going to call them and you're going to say, why
- 29:57Speaker 2: are you so afraid, Senator Slotkin, of people going go
- 30:00Speaker 2: to the polls and protecting our votes. As a member
- 30:03Speaker 2: of the military, I would think that you would love
- 30:05Speaker 2: to see fellow military members at these polling stations, keeping order,
- 30:10Speaker 2: keeping people feeling safe. Why is that such a bad thing?
- 30:14Speaker 2: Why do you want to ostracize people who wear the uniform?
- 30:17Speaker 2: What a shame? Right, What a shame this is, Linda McLaughlin.
- 30:22Speaker 2: I hope that you have enjoyed this episode, and I
- 30:24Speaker 2: hope that you'll share it with your friends and family.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Get people informed and let them know that they have
- 30:28Speaker 2: a say, Tell them to call the Senate, tell them
- 30:30Speaker 2: to let their voices be heard. It's the only way
- 30:33Speaker 2: we're going to make a difference. We got to give
- 30:34Speaker 2: these senators our support, the ones that count, like the
- 30:37Speaker 2: Mike Lees. Please follow us online at Lindamick at Rogue Recap,
