We received the Spirit of Christ without measure — full, complete, nothing withheld — the moment we believed. What grows over time isn't the Spirit's presence, but the measure of faith we bring to the moment. George Müller carried the same indwelling Spirit as a wayward young convert in 1825 and as an old man feeding thousands of orphans seventy years later; what changed was the size of the "cup" he learned to bring to God through small, repeated tests of faith.
