  First John chapter 5 let us pray our Father, our Father, all

  nations and all people groups. God, you have created us all,

  every nation and every tongue. Lord, every dialect you have

  created us all. You are our Father who is in
• 0:32
  heaven. God, You're high and above it
• 0:36
  all. You're high and lifted up and
• 0:39
  exalted above everything and everyone.
• 0:44
  You are the only uncreated El Shaddai, El Eleon.
• 0:54
  Hallowed be thy name. Holy is your name, God, set
• 1:00
  apart. The train of your robe fills the
• 1:05
  temple and we cry, holy, holy, holy.
• 1:08
  The elders cast their crowns. God, we cry, holy, holy, holy.
• 1:18
  Your name is holy. Help us to keep it holy God.
• 1:21
  Help us to keep it set apart. God, I pray that we will not
• 1:25
  take your name lightly. We will have reverence for your
• 1:29
  holy name, your Kingdom come. Father, we pray for your Kingdom
• 1:37
  to come upon this earth. God, do away with all tyrannical
• 1:41
  wickedness in the highest places.
• 1:46
  God, I pray against all of the demonic Lord in the mighty name
• 1:51
  of Jesus Christ, expel the darkness and bring in the light.
• 1:55
  God, bring in the purity. Father, bring in the goodness,
• 2:02
  Bring in the reign of Yeshua. Your will be done Father here on
• 2:11
  this earth just as it is there in heaven.
• 2:14
  God, I pray that men and women will be sold out to you.
• 2:19
  Lord, I pray that we will not just be self seeking, but that
• 2:25
  we will actually desire and pray for the things that are on your
• 2:29
  heart and your mind for such a time as this.
• 2:33
  God, I pray that we'll have zeal for your house.
• 2:38
  Lord, your will come and be done.
• 2:45
  Lord, I pray for daily bread today as we open up your
• 2:51
  scriptures. Lord, I pray that it'll be fresh
• 2:55
  and new. I pray that it will not be
• 2:57
  stagnant and old. I pray that it'll not be
• 3:00
  yesterday's fresh bread, God, but it'll be for today.
• 3:04
  Give us daily bread today. Thank you for the food that
• 3:10
  you've given us in the clean drinking water, and thank you
• 3:13
  for access to your Holy Scriptures.
• 3:17
  Lord, we feast and dine sumptuously upon you, Your word,
• 3:24
  your flesh, your blood gone. I pray that you'll forgive us
• 3:33
  for the many times that we have sinned against you and against
• 3:36
  heaven. Father, I pray that you will
• 3:42
  reinstitute us. God, I pray that we'll come back
• 3:46
  to the high position and place of being yours.
• 3:50
  God, to being this royal priesthood.
• 3:53
  Father, I pray that you'll give us the anointing and the
• 3:57
  unction. Father, I pray that we'll walk
• 4:00
  in obedience unto you. Lord, help us to extend
• 4:04
  forgiveness out to those who don't even ask for it, don't
• 4:07
  even deserve it. God haven't even acknowledged
• 4:10
  the wrong. But we forgive them, Father, for
• 4:16
  they know not what they do. Lord, I pray that you'll keep us
• 4:22
  from the evil one, keep us from the adversary, keep us from the
• 4:26
  accuser of the brethren. Father, I pray that we'll rise
• 4:30
  above, high above any of his schemes and deception and
• 4:35
  trickery, God, and all of the deceptiveness, Lord, and the
• 4:41
  traps that are laid out for us, Lord, I pray that we will be
• 4:45
  able to rise high above it all, Lord, and to soar like an eagle
• 4:52
  above it. We love you, Father.
• 4:55
  It is your Kingdom or that we are chasing hard after.
• 5:01
  It is your power, God, that completely unravels all the
• 5:08
  plans of the enemy. And it is your glory, Father,
• 5:13
  that we bask in. Lord, we robe ourselves with
• 5:19
  your glory. Father, envelope us with your
• 5:21
  presence, the Shekinah glory. God, let us radiate you to a
• 5:29
  Dark World in Jesus Christ. Holy and precious name, I pray,
• 5:37
  Amen. Let's start in verse one.
• 5:45
  Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and
• 5:57
  everyone that loves him, that begat loveth him also that is
• 6:05
  begotten of him. So Jesus Christ is the only
• 6:11
  begotten because He is fully man and fully God and the only one
• 6:18
  who fulfilled that office. There is no other friends, there
• 6:24
  is no sons of God. There is nothing other in
• 6:27
  Scripture that points to this only begotten relationship of
• 6:32
  Jesus Christ, and that is why He is honored above it all.
• 6:36
  He is part of the Trinity of God the Father and God the Son, and
• 6:43
  God the Holy Ghost. 3:00 and 1:00 And if we will love him, it
• 6:48
  will prove that we are gods. 2 By this we know that we love the
• 6:53
  children of God. When we love God and keep his
• 6:56
  commandments. How important is it, friends,
• 6:59
  for our outward actions? Not only our words, but our
• 7:03
  outward actions to reflect the love of God to a lost and dying
• 7:08
  world. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his
• 7:12
  commandments, and his commandments are not grievous.
• 7:15
  His yoke is easy. His burden is light.
• 7:18
  Come up under the yoke of Jesus Christ today, friends, and watch
• 7:22
  how he shoulders the weight. They're not grievous.
• 7:25
  They're all fulfilled in this love.
• 7:27
  Love of God and love of your neighbor as yourself.
• 7:31
  For for whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world.
• 7:37
  And this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our
• 7:42
  faith. Put your faith into action today
• 7:46
  and overcome all of the trickery in the schemes of the evil one.
• 7:50
  Friends, allow God to reign supreme in your life and you
• 7:55
  will not be trapped by all of the deception and trickery of
• 8:00
  our adversary. 5 Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that
• 8:06
  believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
• 8:11
  Do you believe that? Can you say that?
• 8:13
  And if you do, you have victory over sin, you have victory over
• 8:18
  torment, you have victory over fear, Friends, it has no hold on
• 8:23
  you. 6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus
• 8:30
  Christ, not by water only, but by water and blood.
• 8:35
  And it is the Spirit that bears witness, because the Spirit is
• 8:40
  truth. We know that Jesus Christ is the
• 8:43
  way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes unto the Father
• 8:46
  except through Him. We know that when Jesus hung on
• 8:49
  the cross, Friends, not only did He shed His innocent blood for
• 8:53
  us, but because they were ready to take Him down and they wanted
• 8:58
  to make sure that He was dead, they pierced His side and the
• 9:02
  water came out because that cruel way of killing a man, this
• 9:09
  excruciating crucifixion, friends, what it would do is it
• 9:14
  would actually suffocate the person by filling them up with
• 9:18
  the water. And so when they pierced his
• 9:21
  side, the water came gushing out of his side.
• 9:25
  And here you can see that all of it friends pointed towards God
• 9:31
  being honored and glorified in the highest.
• 9:34
  And you can see that John here, who was there at the cross,
• 9:38
  friends, watching it all happen with his mother, with Jesus's
• 9:41
  mother. And Jesus said, this is your
• 9:44
  son. Now, even though she had natural
• 9:47
  sons, she gave him the apostle John to be her son, to take care
• 9:52
  of her. And you can see here, friends,
• 9:54
  that all of this was vivid in the memory of John, the writer
• 9:59
  of this gospel and the writer of this epistle to us, to house and
• 10:05
  to hold for all of eternity. And he's hearkening his mind
• 10:08
  back that it all bears witness that Jesus Christ surely is the
• 10:14
  Son of God, which is what the Roman soldier said after he saw
• 10:19
  the earthquake and after he saw the eclipse and after he saw all
• 10:24
  of it happening. He said surely this was the Son
• 10:27
  of God. And it all bears witness that
• 10:30
  Jesus is trustworthy and true. And these eyewitness accounts
• 10:34
  and historical facts and these archaeological digs, and it all
• 10:39
  points to the reality that we serve a risen God.
• 10:44
  There is no grave that you can go and visit.
• 10:47
  And it all bears witness to the reality that Jesus Christ is the
• 10:52
  Savior of the world. 7 For there are three that bear record in
• 11:03
  heaven, the Father, the Word, the Holy Ghost, and these three
• 11:07
  are one. So here you can see this basis
• 11:10
  of the Trinity being marked out, and you can see that this is a
• 11:17
  wonderful insert that tells us all about the Trinity of what we
• 11:26
  believe. This word that became flesh is
• 11:30
  Jesus Christ. We can see the Father God in
• 11:33
  there. We can see the Holy Ghost, and
• 11:35
  these three are one. Well, praise God.
• 11:37
  That is truth, friends. It is truth that we can build
• 11:42
  and bank our lives on. We'll flow into 8 and there are
• 11:48
  three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, the water and
• 11:52
  the blood, and these three agree in one.
• 11:55
  All of it culminated at the cross of Christ to show us that
• 11:58
  He is trustworthy and true, and that we can build our life upon
• 12:02
  the solid rock, the firm foundation, the chief
• 12:06
  cornerstone of Jesus Christ, and will never be put to shame.
• 12:12
  They all agree that Jesus Christ is Lord. 9 If we receive the
• 12:17
  witness of men, the witness of God is greater, for this is the
• 12:22
  witness of God, which he has testified of his Son.
• 12:26
  So we know that God spoke at the baptism and said, this is my
• 12:31
  Son, whom I am well pleased with.
• 12:33
  And then we know that God spoke again on the Mount of
• 12:36
  Transfiguration and said, listen to him.
• 12:39
  And we know that these miraculous verbal times that God
• 12:45
  spoke to mankind verbally, not just in his word, and not just
• 12:51
  through the inspired word that written by men, which were
• 12:56
  carried along by the Spirit, but God verbally speaking.
• 13:00
  And he confirmed that Jesus Christ is the only begotten and
• 13:04
  the only way unto the Father. 10 He that believes on the Son of
• 13:11
  God has the witness in himself. He that believes not God has
• 13:16
  made him a liar, because he believed not the record that God
• 13:20
  gave of his Son. So you cannot just say that you
• 13:24
  believe in God, but you don't believe in Jesus Christ, because
• 13:27
  God himself told us that it was his Son and that he was well
• 13:32
  pleased with him and that we should listen to him.
• 13:34
  And if we just want to fall in love with God, but we don't want
• 13:39
  to fall in love and give our life over to Jesus, we have made
• 13:43
  a grave air because Jesus is God and He's the only way to the
• 13:48
  Father. God is a spirit and we must
• 13:56
  worship Him in spirit and truth, friends.
• 13:59
  God is an all consuming fire, friends, and the only way that
• 14:03
  we can see God is by looking to Jesus Christ.
• 14:06
  The only way that we're going to be there with God is by placing
• 14:10
  our full faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Savior. 11
• 14:16
  And this is the record that God has given to us eternal life,
• 14:20
  and this life is in his Son. That is where we find eternal
• 14:24
  life is by being in Christ Jesus.
• 14:28
  There is no life apart from Jesus Christ.
• 14:31
  There is no peace apart from Jesus Christ.
• 14:34
  There is no purpose apart from Jesus Christ.
• 14:38
  There is no hope apart from Jesus Christ.
• 14:41
  He is our all sufficient sacrifice, and we place our
• 14:45
  entire being in Him, and we will never be put to shame. 12 He
• 14:53
  that has the Son has life, and he that has not the Son of God
• 14:58
  has not life. There is no life apart from a
• 15:01
  relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ.
• 15:05
  That is where you find life when the blinders fall off, the
• 15:09
  scales fall off your eyes, when your ears get unplugged and it's
• 15:13
  like seeing and hearing for the first time.
• 15:16
  I pray that you have experienced that, friends, and if you have
• 15:19
  not placed your full faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, believe
• 15:24
  that He is the Son of God, believe that He is the only way
• 15:27
  to the Father and receive salvation. 13 These things have
• 15:34
  I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that
• 15:39
  you may know that you have eternal life and that you may
• 15:42
  believe on the name of the Son of God.
• 15:45
  We don't need a hope So maybe so kind of faith.
• 15:49
  What separates Christianity from every other religion in the
• 15:53
  world? I need you to lock in here
• 15:56
  friend. What separates Christianity from
• 16:03
  every other religion in the entire world is that you can
• 16:08
  have a no so kind of faith. Every other religion has scales
• 16:16
  and balances of your good and your bad.
• 16:21
  Every other religion wants to make merchandise of you to keep
• 16:30
  you in a perpetual suspended state of wondering and guessing
• 16:35
  of where you stand with God, so that they can usurp their
• 16:39
  authority over you and so they can drain you of all of your
• 16:42
  resources, friends, of your time, your energy, your talents,
• 16:47
  your finances, friends. They want to drain you of your
• 16:50
  very life by keeping you in this perpetual suspended state of
• 16:56
  wonderment friends, but if you will come to the Lord Jesus
• 17:02
  Christ, you can have confidence and assurance in your salvation.
• 17:06
  You do not have to have a hope So maybe so kind of faith you
• 17:11
  can have a know so kind of faith you can know that you know that
• 17:17
  you know that you know where you're going to spend eternity
• 17:21
  if you are to breathe your last breath.
• 17:25
  And from this confidence, it actually initiates the action
• 17:33
  and not the other way around. When we know that we know that
• 17:37
  we are loved and that we are at 1 and forgiven and justified,
• 17:42
  then we will want to do the things that he asks of us.
• 17:45
  It is not that by doing those things we are made right with
• 17:49
  God. 14 And this is the confidence that we have in him,
• 18:02
  that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears
• 18:06
  us. So here we're going to get into
• 18:08
  this little section, friends, and you need to know that it's
• 18:11
  about prayer, friends. You need to understand it all in
• 18:15
  the light of what prayer looks like.
• 18:19
  And he's saying that if we'll ask things in His name, they
• 18:22
  will be done for us because it's in accordance with His will.
• 18:25
  That's when we start seeing our prayers actually get answered is
• 18:29
  when we're praying the things that are on the heart and the
• 18:31
  mind of God. We can have confidence that he
• 18:37
  hears us and that he answers. 15 And if we know that he hears us
• 18:43
  whatsoever we ask, we know that we will have the petitions of
• 18:49
  that we desired of him. So when you start praying the
• 18:53
  things that are in line with God's will, that is when you see
• 18:56
  God answering your prayers. 16 If any man sees his brother sin,
• 19:06
  a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give
• 19:13
  him life for them that sin not unto death.
• 19:18
  There is a sin unto death. I do not say that he shall pray
• 19:22
  for it. These are sober warnings,
• 19:25
  friends. If we see people that are
• 19:29
  positioned in a way that they are acknowledging their sin and
• 19:35
  they are willing to turn from it and they are yielding unto the
• 19:43
  guidance of the Spirit of God and this repentant spirit, this
• 19:50
  repentant posture where they're willing to be turned out of the
• 19:55
  way of sin and destruction. We pray for those people.
• 19:59
  We ask God to have mercy upon them.
• 20:02
  And if you woke up today, God's not done with you.
• 20:05
  But here's a little section, friends.
• 20:08
  And it's highlighted in the story of Ananias and Sapphira
• 20:12
  where there is a sin that is unto death.
• 20:14
  Whenever we lie to ourselves and lie to God, we lie to the Holy
• 20:19
  Spirit, friends. When we are unrepentant, when we
• 20:24
  will not acknowledge our sin, friends, it is a sin that is
• 20:29
  unto death. And this is a hard lesson.
• 20:34
  And he says here I do not say that he shall pray for it.
• 20:41
  So when we have warned A divisive person once and then
• 20:45
  we've warned them again, he says have nothing to do with them,
• 20:50
  friends. And this is a hard saying for us
• 20:53
  because we think of the 70 * 7 and all of these things.
• 20:59
  But these are men who are unrepentant.
• 21:02
  They refuse to listen to sound doctrine.
• 21:05
  They do not want to hear and acknowledge that they are living
• 21:09
  in sin, friends, and this is who is highlighted in this text. 17

  All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not unto death.
• 21:21
  So his mercies are new everyday, friends.
• 21:24
  And if you failed yesterday, make it right today.
• 21:28
  Don't live in that perpetual state of sin.
• 21:31
  Do not harden your hearts as in the day of rebellion, friends,
• 21:35
  but be soft friends, be supple friends, break up the fallow
• 21:40
  ground, and allow the rain of the sun to come, and to permeate
• 21:45
  the soil, and to produce a crop and fruit in your life. 18 We
• 21:51
  know that what so whosoever is born of God sends not, but he
• 21:56
  that is begotten of God keeps himself, and that wicked one
• 21:59
  touches him not. This is one of the promises of
• 22:02
  God that if will remain in Him and He and you, then the evil 1
• 22:07
  cannot touch you, friends, and greater is he who is in you than
• 22:12
  he who is in the world. We do not fear.
• 22:15
  We're not motivated by fear. We're not allowing torment of
• 22:19
  fear in our lives. We rest and we are eternally
• 22:23
  secure in Christ Jesus, knowing that no matter what happens to
• 22:27
  us, He has allowed it to sift through His hands. 1st 19 And we
• 22:35
  know that we are of God and the whole world lies in wickedness.
• 22:41
  So that's no surprise there, friends.
• 22:43
  Just look around, turn on your television, look on your
• 22:48
  smartphone, wherever you get your news from.
• 22:51
  Go out into the streets, go out friends, and sit in the
• 22:55
  courtroom and look, this whole world lies in wickedness from
• 22:59
  the fall of mankind. But God's going to make
• 23:02
  everything new. Friends 20 And we know that the
• 23:08
  Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that
• 23:12
  we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true,
• 23:16
  even his in His Son Jesus Christ.
• 23:19
  That is the true God and eternal life.
• 23:22
  We are already seated with him in heavenly places in Christ
• 23:27
  Jesus. Friends, we are victorious in
• 23:31
  Christ Jesus. We fight from victory, not more
• 23:35
  victory. Friends, He has already won the
• 23:38
  battle, and now we are waiting for the culmination of it all.
• 23:42
  Friends, when the final number comes into the fold and he tells
• 23:46
  Jesus Christ to go and to make the enemies a footstool under
• 23:50
  his feet, we'll end on 21. Little children, keep yourselves
• 23:56
  from idols. Amen.

  We can see that the lust and the coveting.
• 24:07
  We can see that so many of our woes spring up from this idol
• 24:14
  worship. This is the lust of the eyes and
• 24:17
  the lust of the flesh. This is the pride of life.
• 24:21
  This is a perpetual idol factory that gets pumped out from our
• 24:25
  hearts, friends, and we must consistently and constantly war
• 24:33
  against anything in our lives. Becoming an idol and an idol is
• 24:38
  something that takes a higher place than God.
• 24:41
  It is something that we cannot let go of, something that we
• 24:45
  hide under our saddle, something that we think has power or that
• 24:52
  has power over us. We must keep ourselves from
• 24:56
  these idols that spring up. A lot of times we're not even
• 25:01
  aware that they're springing up until it's too late.
• 25:04
  And if you have something in your hand that you cannot
• 25:07
  release, it is an idol. We must live open handedly,
• 25:12
  friends. We must live in light of
• 25:14
  eternity. Friends, this is not our home.
• 25:17
  We are just pilgrims passing through a strange land.
• 25:28
