- 0:00Speaker 1: Because fuck you, That's why is a founding member of
- 0:02Speaker 1: the Odd Pods Media Network.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome to dangan Rumpa, the game show question Mark.
- 0:58Speaker 2: We have four super slow here or who are going
- 1:01Speaker 2: to tackle a series of mini mysteries all to try
- 1:03Speaker 2: and put money in their bank and take it home
- 1:05Speaker 2: for their charity. There's just one teeny tiny little problem.
- 1:11Speaker 2: One of them is secretly working against the others. That
- 1:14Speaker 2: player is the Black End, and every time they fail
- 1:17Speaker 2: to successfully solve a mini mystery, the money goes into
- 1:20Speaker 2: the Blackends bank instead. So if the black and can
- 1:24Speaker 2: successfully avoid detection, they'll win their own bank for their
- 1:27Speaker 2: charity instead, and we'll see how that goes. Who's going
- 1:32Speaker 2: to be the Blackened no idea. I don't even know
- 1:35Speaker 2: because they haven't been selected yet. Nobody knows. Before we
- 1:39Speaker 2: get to that, before some of one of you turns
- 1:42Speaker 2: against the others, maybe we should introduce everybody. And I
- 1:46Speaker 2: am going to start with my good friend Caroline Voice
- 1:50Speaker 2: Actress extraordinaire Aggie hit It. She's a literary queen vocal workers.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Caroline the Coca makes her ultra Nope girl is truly
- 2:17Speaker 3: exceeds Taylor Swift songwriting, be.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Real with you. I did my best and also Mexico
- 2:25Speaker 2: did an amazing job on that, and we spent a
- 2:29Speaker 2: lot of money for it, so we have to play
- 2:30Speaker 2: it every time you're on, but I would do it anyway.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Caroline Welcome. Uh, Hello, Ultra Hope Girl host podcast, extraordinary
- 2:41Speaker 2: voice actress, incredible.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Uh.
- 2:45Speaker 2: I just have one question for you, and that's what
- 2:47Speaker 2: charity are you playing for today?
- 2:49Speaker 5: And why today?
- 2:51Speaker 6: I am playing for the Armisted Law Project, which is
- 2:55Speaker 6: a nonprofit in Philadelphia. That school is to end mass
- 2:59Speaker 6: incarceration in.
- 3:00Speaker 7: Pennsylvania and it's a charity that I donated to in
- 3:03Speaker 7: June with some Twitch and I want to Twitch funds
- 3:07Speaker 7: and I want to continue giving to this this non profit.
- 3:10Speaker 8: So that's who I am donating to today.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Fantastic, that's cool, awesome, that's real cool.
- 3:16Speaker 8: I also, can I just have to share.
- 3:19Speaker 6: I have this app called Citizen that tells me if
- 3:21Speaker 6: anyone is around doing wrong in my area.
- 3:24Speaker 8: And I just got a report of woman with scissors.
- 3:31Speaker 6: Right before the Dog and Romfa theme game, So I
- 3:33Speaker 6: think Jenna Snidejack might be in my area.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Yeah, she's just going around clipping everybody's strings off. Their clothes.
- 3:40Speaker 1: That's all.
- 3:43Speaker 2: It's it's just run running. Let's move on to our
- 3:49Speaker 2: next contestant. Maddie. Hi, Maddie, now, hello, how's it going.
- 3:54Speaker 2: It's great. I'm so happy, happy to have you here.
- 3:56Speaker 2: It's been so long since you've been on the show.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Way back in the list days when you destroyed the
- 4:01Speaker 2: list not once but twice. Oh my gosh. Yeah, we remember,
- 4:06Speaker 2: we remember.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Just because people didn't hear the first time doesn't mean
- 4:09Speaker 1: we forgot the first time.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it was that first one was an exciting show,
- 4:15Speaker 2: and Maddie single handedly saved the day at the very end.
- 4:19Speaker 2: But unfortunately that recording was lost and we couldn't share
- 4:24Speaker 2: it with anyone, So we just have our memories of
- 4:26Speaker 2: this magnificent moment and this incredibly thrilling game that we
- 4:29Speaker 2: all played. It was fantastic. But Maddie, one of the
- 4:33Speaker 2: things I wanted to have you on for was to
- 4:35Speaker 2: right a wrong. After all, Caroline has her own jingle,
- 4:40Speaker 2: Maren has her own jingle. It seems only fair, Oggie.
- 4:44Speaker 9: Please, Maddie is loyalty, she'll be a horses while dreaming
- 4:55Speaker 9: about horses. Just show her you're loyalty.
- 5:01Speaker 2: You'll be calling her Maddie Queen.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that is awesome.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I was hoping, hoping, beyond hope you'd enjoy that. Well,
- 5:17Speaker 2: I'm glad. I was wonderful glad. So now all three
- 5:21Speaker 2: of the girls have their own jingle and I will
- 5:23Speaker 2: send it to you after the show so you can
- 5:25Speaker 2: make it a ring tone or whatever the heck you want. Uh. So,
- 5:29Speaker 2: I'll ask you the same question that I asked Caroline.
- 5:32Speaker 2: What charity are you playing for? And why is it
- 5:34Speaker 2: important to you?
- 5:36Speaker 10: The charity I'd like to play for today is the
- 5:39Speaker 10: Trevor Project, which is it is a charity dedicated to
- 5:44Speaker 10: mental health and suicide prevention in LGBTQ plus youth. And
- 5:51Speaker 10: as a member of the LGBTQ plus community and as
- 5:55Speaker 10: a former youth myself, you're still a young and who
- 6:01Speaker 10: I too, but yeah, as someone who's also had, you know,
- 6:07Speaker 10: mental health struggles of my own, that is a charity
- 6:09Speaker 10: near and dear to my heart.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Very cool, cool, awesome? Hi? Yeah, all right, well let's
- 6:16Speaker 2: move on to our third Now, let's do our third
- 6:18Speaker 2: and fourth contestants together. It's Matt and Odra from the
- 6:21Speaker 2: gate Leapers.
- 6:21Speaker 5: Yeah, Hi guys, Hello, Hi, thanks for having us.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Absolutely so thrilled to have you, guys. Now, I wouldn't
- 6:30Speaker 2: have you on and play Caroline's jingle and then Maddie's
- 6:33Speaker 2: jingle just to leave you hang in. So here's your
- 6:36Speaker 2: here's your very own gate Leapers jingle. Aggie hit it
- 6:40Speaker 2: twenty seconds on the clock and go gate Leapers, open
- 6:44Speaker 2: them peepers and say jeepers. They examined fandoms at random
- 6:47Speaker 2: until they panned them. Affleck was the bombing fantoms, Kevin Smith,
- 6:51Speaker 2: d and D test Master and Drew Sonic and Lawson,
- 6:53Speaker 2: Zelda coming through fall Out, Marvel, Sand the Moon, and Buffy.
- 6:56Speaker 2: They'll discuss what makes your heart scruffy? That's hosting is
- 6:59Speaker 2: extra ordinary, Audi's buzzing in his legendary and Jason might
- 7:03Speaker 2: be imaginary. That's time. It's incredible.
- 7:12Speaker 5: Oh my goodness that the challenge as well of doing
- 7:15Speaker 5: it within the time.
- 7:16Speaker 2: I love it. So I stepped so far out.
- 7:20Speaker 5: Of my comforty good dude, I was perfect.
- 7:25Speaker 2: So glad I didn't listen.
- 7:27Speaker 5: I'm not crying.
- 7:28Speaker 2: You're crying. I am crying.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Oh Dee.
- 7:37Speaker 2: I so thrilled you liked it, and even more thrilled
- 7:39Speaker 2: to see aug you're losing your ship over it. That
- 7:41Speaker 2: was so good.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Today's have been amazing and all we've gotten to is
- 7:46Speaker 1: like the.
- 7:49Speaker 2: He's gotten the actual game stuff has been So I
- 7:52Speaker 2: will start ladies first, Audre, what charity are you playing for?
- 7:56Speaker 2: And why is it important to you?
- 7:59Speaker 11: I playing for doctors without borders. Considering the events in
- 8:05Speaker 11: the world right now, there's a lot of people who
- 8:08Speaker 11: need doctors excellent, regardless of borders. I think that's pretty
- 8:15Speaker 11: I think that's pretty direct.
- 8:17Speaker 2: It's kind of yeah, right to the point.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I mean, they don't need passports and stuff, eggons ago
- 8:23Speaker 1: wherever they want whenever.
- 8:25Speaker 2: I don't think that's how it works. Well. I think
- 8:28Speaker 2: they still have to get legal forms, but they go,
- 8:32Speaker 2: but they go.
- 8:33Speaker 7: It just.
- 8:35Speaker 11: Makes that possible.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Yes, yes, exactly. And finally, Matt, what charity are you
- 8:41Speaker 2: playing for?
- 8:42Speaker 5: And why I'm playing for? Inside Out Youth Services. They
- 8:46Speaker 5: are an lgbt Q plus nonprofit UH here in our
- 8:50Speaker 5: city that provides a mental health services as well as
- 8:53Speaker 5: just community service UH and the kind of like the
- 8:56Speaker 5: antithesis to the focus on the family UH movement that's
- 9:00Speaker 5: within our city. So it's like it's a it's it's
- 9:03Speaker 5: bonus points you get to stick it to conservatives at
- 9:05Speaker 5: the same time.
- 9:06Speaker 2: So well, very good. All right, So we got four
- 9:12Speaker 2: excellent contestants and we're all friends here right. Well, sadly
- 9:15Speaker 2: that ends now because I'm about to push the button
- 9:18Speaker 2: that is going to decide who the Black End is
- 9:21Speaker 2: and it tells me. Okay, now I know who the
- 9:25Speaker 2: Black End is and nobody else does. Oh good. So
- 9:28Speaker 2: now I'm going to let the Blacken know that they
- 9:30Speaker 2: are the black and so would everybody please do me
- 9:33Speaker 2: a favor and shut off your cameras and mute your mics. Yes,
- 9:37Speaker 2: but do not deafen yourselves. Remember you got to hear us.
- 9:42Speaker 2: So the Black End is going to receive the answers
- 9:48Speaker 2: to all the mini mysteries, who the murderer is and why,
- 9:53Speaker 2: for every single murder mystery. So that is how you
- 9:56Speaker 2: know you are the Blackend. If you receive a text
- 10:00Speaker 2: that says case one, case two, blah blah blah and
- 10:02Speaker 2: explains who the murderer is and why you are now
- 10:06Speaker 2: the Blackend and you are now working against the others.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Now you have some choices to make blackened player because
- 10:15Speaker 2: you cannot be discovered, so you can use this information
- 10:20Speaker 2: to look like you are just solving these murder mysteries
- 10:23Speaker 2: alongside your friends naturally, or you can use them to
- 10:26Speaker 2: try and divert the rest of the group from the
- 10:30Speaker 2: actual answers, because every time they fail, that's money in
- 10:35Speaker 2: your bank. But as I said, you have to be careful.
- 10:39Speaker 2: You don't want to be discovered because at the end
- 10:41Speaker 2: of the game, we're going to hold a vote, and
- 10:43Speaker 2: if the majority chooses the Blacken, then the Spotless win
- 10:47Speaker 2: and they share what's in their bank. But if the
- 10:50Speaker 2: black End is not discovered, the black End wins what's
- 10:53Speaker 2: in their bank alone. Okay, so now that I've gone
- 10:58Speaker 2: over all of that, go out ahead and turn your
- 11:00Speaker 2: cameras and Mike's back on and rejoin the group. Properly confused,
- 11:07Speaker 2: but I like it.
- 11:08Speaker 1: It's it's a good confused.
- 11:09Speaker 2: It's a good case.
- 11:10Speaker 1: It is it is. I'm not scared or anything.
- 11:15Speaker 2: You're not even playing.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I didn't get in text.
- 11:18Speaker 2: No, STEVI and you guys are here for color commentary.
- 11:24Speaker 2: You can you can relax during some bits when I
- 11:27Speaker 2: have their cameras and Mike's turned off, all I'll turn
- 11:29Speaker 2: to you guys for some color commentary. And play by play,
- 11:32Speaker 2: So I'm not leaving you guys out, not by any
- 11:34Speaker 2: stretch of the imagination. So the black And has all
- 11:38Speaker 2: the answers. The black And knows what the answers are
- 11:41Speaker 2: going to be. Nobody else has any idea who the
- 11:44Speaker 2: Black End is, and they have no idea what's coming whatsoever.
- 11:48Speaker 2: So shall we get started. I think it's time we
- 11:53Speaker 2: get to case number one and I will explain to
- 11:59Speaker 2: all of you how this is gonna work. I'm going
- 12:01Speaker 2: to read out the mini mystery. Please do your best
- 12:04Speaker 2: to pay attention, because if I have to repeat it
- 12:07Speaker 2: during your time, you're obviously going to lose that time.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Got it all right?
- 12:14Speaker 12: Should I grab paper?
- 12:15Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 12:15Speaker 8: Can I get a note book?
- 12:17Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 12:17Speaker 2: I feel to grab something.
- 12:18Speaker 5: Oh my guys, it's not even genre.
- 12:26Speaker 2: There's no Brownie points here. Matt sold again, so they
- 12:33Speaker 2: kind of.
- 12:38Speaker 5: Assume you assume you've not brought your magnifying glasses.
- 12:44Speaker 8: Did you bring yours?
- 12:45Speaker 5: Of course I did, all three different sizes.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Ready, yes, as soon as gets back there she is, okay.
- 13:02Speaker 2: I will explain one more function of the game. Obviously,
- 13:06Speaker 2: because there's four of you, I can't have all of
- 13:07Speaker 2: you shouting out the answer all at once, all different answers.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Before every case you're going to elect a captain, just
- 13:14Speaker 2: pick somebody, you can even choose yourself, and whoever is
- 13:18Speaker 2: captain will give the answer for that particular mystery as
- 13:21Speaker 2: we move on the next one cannot be the same person.
- 13:26Speaker 2: But if you find a pair of captains that you
- 13:29Speaker 2: like really, well, no reason you couldn't just bounce them
- 13:31Speaker 2: back and forth between them. But maybe just to be fair,
- 13:34Speaker 2: everybody should get a shot. Although bear in mind one
- 13:37Speaker 2: of them is the blackened, so bear that in mind.
- 13:40Speaker 2: With that said, would anyone like to nominate someone to
- 13:43Speaker 2: be captain?
- 13:46Speaker 8: I would like to nominate Maddie.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Okay, I'll do it, sure, all right, matt And d
- 13:52Speaker 2: are you okay with this?
- 13:54Speaker 5: Absolutely?
- 13:54Speaker 2: All right? Mattie, You're the captain. I will I will
- 13:57Speaker 2: only accept an answer from you. Once I finished reading
- 14:01Speaker 2: the murder mystery, I will say, let the NonStop debate begin,
- 14:04Speaker 2: and because this is our first mystery, you'll have two
- 14:07Speaker 2: minutes and thirty seconds to discuss, and I will again
- 14:11Speaker 2: only accept the answer from Mattie. So, Mattie, I need
- 14:13Speaker 2: to hear you say I'm the captain and my answer
- 14:17Speaker 2: is this obviously replacing this whoever you think the murder
- 14:21Speaker 2: is or what have you? One last thing. This is
- 14:24Speaker 2: the first case. As such, it is worth five dollars,
- 14:27Speaker 2: but it is also the easiest, so I think that's fair.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Are you already? I will start reading this case Case
- 14:37Speaker 2: number one, an American restaurant owner is found dead after
- 14:41Speaker 2: a meal at her own restaurant. The scent of almonds
- 14:45Speaker 2: would seem to indicate the victim died of cyanide poisoning.
- 14:49Speaker 2: According to witnesses, her last words were, he's a fake.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Since the victim was dining alone, there are only two
- 14:58Speaker 2: major suspects, both recent hires. The sommelier said, it hadu
- 15:05Speaker 2: Binzi chef. I recommended, and I brought it out well
- 15:09Speaker 2: before they met. Arrived and she got sick. The chef said, look,
- 15:14Speaker 2: what do you want from me? She ordered chicken farmejan.
- 15:17Speaker 2: I cooked it in front of several witnesses, and I
- 15:19Speaker 2: even cooked a medium rare like she asked. That meal
- 15:22Speaker 2: was perfectly safe. Now, team, it's your job to figure
- 15:27Speaker 2: out who poisoned the proprietor got all that Again, I
- 15:35Speaker 2: won't repeat it, so if you're ready, let the NonStop
- 15:39Speaker 2: debate begin for two minutes thirty seconds and go.
- 15:46Speaker 8: Who eats chicken?
- 15:46Speaker 2: Parm medium rare. Yeah that was liked.
- 15:50Speaker 8: That sounds awful.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Say that cool? Good cold?
- 15:56Speaker 11: So that feels suspicious. Chardenay, it's a white wine, so
- 16:01Speaker 11: that with chicken makes sense, right, medium.
- 16:05Speaker 8: Media rare.
- 16:08Speaker 5: Is uh yeah, yeah, that doesn't seem right. The almond
- 16:15Speaker 5: scent and cyanide, is that true? I'm not a mystery boy,
- 16:18Speaker 5: so I don't know it is, okay.
- 16:20Speaker 10: Cyanide is known to have a scent of bitter almonds, okay.
- 16:24Speaker 6: And is cyanide able to be mixed into the into
- 16:27Speaker 6: meat hypothetically that I don't know, because that's the thing
- 16:33Speaker 6: is like, if if it can only be mixed into
- 16:35Speaker 6: a liquid, then maybe yeah, that's.
- 16:39Speaker 8: A good question.
- 16:40Speaker 5: Yeah, maybe in the more liquid parts of the sort
- 16:42Speaker 5: of the palmesan part of it. Maybe it could go.
- 16:44Speaker 6: Into how fast does cyanide move in your in the
- 16:49Speaker 6: metabolism before death?
- 16:50Speaker 8: Because it says the owner was dead after the meal.
- 16:54Speaker 10: So I think it's pretty quick.
- 16:59Speaker 6: Then it might be the sh F because the wine
- 17:02Speaker 6: came before the dinner.
- 17:05Speaker 13: Mm hmmm.
- 17:06Speaker 8: So if it acts quickly, right, should have? It wouldn't
- 17:10Speaker 8: have been the wine. That's my two cents.
- 17:12Speaker 2: But yeah, that's possible.
- 17:18Speaker 10: I mean my first instinct was to say she died
- 17:20Speaker 10: of salamonilla poisoning because she ate her chicken medium rare.
- 17:23Speaker 10: But that wouldn't have happened, not quickly, so right.
- 17:29Speaker 11: And I was saving her from salmonilla, right right, This
- 17:35Speaker 11: was inevitable.
- 17:36Speaker 8: So no crime.
- 17:40Speaker 2: That cancels out.
- 17:42Speaker 5: No, he's that he's a fake. Part the last words
- 17:46Speaker 5: of the victim. He's a fake.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 17:50Speaker 5: Do we think that means anything?
- 17:53Speaker 14: What is?
- 17:56Speaker 8: It's like a wine expert? Yeah, okay, ten seconds.
- 18:03Speaker 2: I do think the chicken pos I need answered, Maddie,
- 18:10Speaker 2: I need an answer.
- 18:12Speaker 8: It's a chef. I think it's I'm gonna go with
- 18:14Speaker 8: the chef.
- 18:18Speaker 2: That was quick. Maddie got that answer in just before
- 18:22Speaker 2: the Blackson went off. In thirty seconds. Is not a
- 18:27Speaker 2: lot of time, guys. Okay, So Maddie has given the
- 18:33Speaker 2: answer of the chef. If that's correct, then five dollars
- 18:37Speaker 2: goes into the spotless bank. If it's wrong, five dollars
- 18:41Speaker 2: goes into the black Ends bank.
- 18:43Speaker 4: Let's see.
- 18:55Speaker 2: That's a win. That's right, yayyay, good, Yeah, very nice?
- 19:01Speaker 2: All right, excellent work.
- 19:04Speaker 5: Well that was that was simple, right, Sure, you took
- 19:11Speaker 5: all and a half minutes.
- 19:12Speaker 2: You were absolutely right. The murderer was the chef. In
- 19:14Speaker 2: the USA, cooking chicken medium rare is extremely dangerous and
- 19:19Speaker 2: any trained chef would know it's not safe. Now there
- 19:23Speaker 2: are there are some like global there are some, uh countries,
- 19:28Speaker 2: other countries do have dishes that do cook chicken rare,
- 19:32Speaker 2: But I no, I don't.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I don't eat there.
- 19:35Speaker 2: But that's one of the reasons why I specifically said
- 19:38Speaker 2: an American restaurant owner, because in the USA it's you
- 19:41Speaker 2: are trained to know that you should not do that.
- 19:45Speaker 2: So well done, team. Five dollars to the spotless. It's
- 19:49Speaker 2: very simple. Uh, let's move on to case number two
- 19:51Speaker 2: if you're already. So for case number two, we need
- 19:55Speaker 2: a new captain. It cannot be Maddie, it can be
- 19:57Speaker 2: any of the other three. Does anyone want to nominate someone?
- 20:02Speaker 5: I'm going to nominate Ultra.
- 20:04Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 20:05Speaker 5: I don't have to do it.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Smart, Okay? Does everyone agree? It sounded like Caroline agreed?
- 20:13Speaker 8: Yeah, why not?
- 20:14Speaker 2: Why not? Ok?
- 20:16Speaker 14: For it?
- 20:16Speaker 2: All right, let's go for it, Audrey, You're the captain again.
- 20:18Speaker 2: I will only accept the answer from you, So bear
- 20:22Speaker 2: that in mind as I read case number two. A
- 20:28Speaker 2: private detective by the name of Kiragii was walking by
- 20:31Speaker 2: a room with a lot of loud laughing going on.
- 20:35Speaker 2: She was headed for a meeting, so she kept walking,
- 20:38Speaker 2: but it was only a few steps later that she
- 20:40Speaker 2: heard a gunshot ring out. She ran back to the
- 20:43Speaker 2: room quick as a flash, hoping to catch the shooter
- 20:47Speaker 2: red handed, but instead she saw a bewildering scene. A
- 20:52Speaker 2: man lay dead with a hole in his head in
- 20:55Speaker 2: the center of a huge playroom. Three other people wearing
- 21:00Speaker 2: children's style clothing were in the room's corners. A redheaded
- 21:04Speaker 2: man sat frozen on a swing with a grim smile
- 21:08Speaker 2: on his face, a brunette woman sat in the jungle
- 21:12Speaker 2: gym crying her eyes out, and a blonde man clutched
- 21:16Speaker 2: a slide with a look of horror on his features.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Kiri Geary instantly knew who killed the man, but do
- 21:24Speaker 2: you once again? You will have two minutes and thirty
- 21:28Speaker 2: seconds to discuss. Once again, I need an answer from
- 21:32Speaker 2: the captain before the final clason goes off. If you're already,
- 21:36Speaker 2: it's your job to figure out who perforated the playroom patron.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Let the non stop debate begin.
- 21:46Speaker 8: What were the physical descriptions?
- 21:47Speaker 6: Again, it was a redheaded man, and what was the
- 21:49Speaker 6: woman's She was burnette.
- 21:52Speaker 10: And one a blonde blond man clutching the slide looking horrified.
- 22:01Speaker 8: Okay, crying and then they're smiling. Okay.
- 22:05Speaker 10: One thing I'm wondering is if there were four people
- 22:08Speaker 10: in this room and three people were in the corners
- 22:10Speaker 10: once in the middle of dead was the victim at
- 22:13Speaker 10: one point in the other corner, and so how could
- 22:18Speaker 10: they have maybe how.
- 22:20Speaker 8: Could he have gotten shot that way right.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Before?
- 22:27Speaker 10: But that's just a theory. It's not necessarily a given
- 22:30Speaker 10: that he was also in a corner. But it's a
- 22:33Speaker 10: thought that occurred to me.
- 22:34Speaker 5: The swing, the slide, what was the middle one.
- 22:39Speaker 8: A jungle gym.
- 22:41Speaker 11: Brunette in the jungle gym.
- 22:44Speaker 5: Interesting, Okay, so frozy.
- 22:47Speaker 11: Redhead, Yeah, the redhead is smiling, the jungle jim brunette vacant.
- 22:59Speaker 2: I can't crying, crying, crying.
- 23:01Speaker 8: Crying, the two.
- 23:05Speaker 6: The thing that comes to mind is the so the
- 23:08Speaker 6: person on the swing could, in theory, use his hands
- 23:15Speaker 6: and then go back to swinging, Whereas if you're on
- 23:17Speaker 6: a jungle gym.
- 23:18Speaker 8: You have to hold on.
- 23:19Speaker 11: I have to be holding on.
- 23:20Speaker 8: And then a slide. I don't know, but I guess
- 23:23Speaker 8: you could be sliding down doing But if he was
- 23:28Speaker 8: on slide starting so.
- 23:29Speaker 6: That he wasn't sliding down, that implies that he also
- 23:33Speaker 6: didn't move his hands.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Yeah, that's good point.
- 23:37Speaker 6: So because of that, I'm inclined to think it's the
- 23:39Speaker 6: guy on the swing. But the manic smile feels also
- 23:42Speaker 6: too obvious.
- 23:44Speaker 8: I know, it's like a thing.
- 23:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I'm happy to definitely remove the jungle
- 23:50Speaker 5: gym for those reasons of like, oh, yeah, you'd have
- 23:52Speaker 5: to hold on to a jungle.
- 23:53Speaker 8: Gym, right, unless you're like sitting on top of it.
- 23:56Speaker 10: But I was sitting on top. Yeah.
- 23:59Speaker 5: Oh sh I caught the frozen swing means oh the
- 24:02Speaker 5: swing doesn't seconds.
- 24:05Speaker 11: Yeah, right, I need an answer, hinge.
- 24:12Speaker 5: Work for the girl.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Redhead on the swing, redhead on the swing. Final answer. Okay,
- 24:20Speaker 2: so we have an answer. The group had decided that
- 24:23Speaker 2: the redhead on the swing is the murderer. I don't
- 24:27Speaker 2: know if that's correct. If that's correct. If that's correct,
- 24:31Speaker 2: five dollars go into the spotless bank. If it's wrong,
- 24:36Speaker 2: five dollars goes to the blackened bank. Let's find out
- 24:40Speaker 2: is it right or is it wrong?
- 24:53Speaker 12: No, that's wrong.
- 24:56Speaker 2: No, sorry, that's wrong, which means five dollars goes to the.
- 24:59Speaker 4: Black and.
- 25:02Speaker 10: Do we get to learn the answer?
- 25:04Speaker 2: Of course you do. What kind of monster would I be?
- 25:06Speaker 2: If I do?
- 25:09Speaker 8: You would be the next verd?
- 25:11Speaker 14: Yeah?
- 25:12Speaker 2: Right, So Stevie might actually have a better idea. Maybe,
- 25:17Speaker 2: I don't know. He's looking rather vacant at the moment.
- 25:20Speaker 2: I just thought he might be more familiar with a gun.
- 25:23Speaker 1: I wasn't really paying attention. I was trying to fix that.
- 25:26Speaker 2: No, it's god. Remember I said it was a gun shot.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the first thing I was thinking.
- 25:32Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, I said, the blonde man was
- 25:36Speaker 2: clutching a slide. A slide is a part of a
- 25:40Speaker 2: semi automatic pistol.
- 25:41Speaker 6: Oh come on, how would I have known that?
- 25:49Speaker 2: That makes sense? That's totally fair. That's totally fair.
- 25:53Speaker 1: That's a good one.
- 25:54Speaker 8: Damn.
- 25:55Speaker 5: And it's not a gun called a jungle gym.
- 26:01Speaker 2: The theory. Yes, yeah, I'm.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Like, okay, Sonari, I'm somebody's scared of something, okay, And
- 26:09Speaker 1: I'm like, damn it. I did thought the same thing
- 26:12Speaker 1: they did, like they went to the same same route.
- 26:14Speaker 11: Man.
- 26:14Speaker 2: All right, well listen, that's a good one.
- 26:16Speaker 10: We're gonna have to think outside the box.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Listen. Yeah, they are going to get harder. I'm just
- 26:21Speaker 2: warning you right now.
- 26:23Speaker 8: You are a tricky bastard.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Thank you. As it stands, our sleuths are one for one.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Well they're they're one for two. Excuse me, Uh, it's
- 26:32Speaker 2: five dollars to each team. When we come back, the
- 26:36Speaker 2: Black End is going to get some additional powers to
- 26:39Speaker 2: mess with the rest of the spotless. How will these
- 26:42Speaker 2: powers be used and what carnage can they reak? I
- 26:45Speaker 2: wonder we'll find out right after this.
- 27:01Speaker 13: Hey there, I'm Dave, the host of Beer in Front.
- 27:06Speaker 13: Sometimes the beer in front of you is the best
- 27:09Speaker 13: one yet. I'll talk about some old school beers that
- 27:13Speaker 13: maybe you've forgotten about, some new beers that have the
- 27:16Speaker 13: potential to be a classic. I'll also talk to various
- 27:20Speaker 13: people around the beer world and get their stories all
- 27:24Speaker 13: about beer. That's Beer in Front and it's available on
- 27:29Speaker 13: all of your favorite podcast apps.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome back to hang in Rome. But the
- 27:49Speaker 2: game show, our first episode is going fairly well. Each
- 27:53Speaker 2: side has some money in their bank. Five dollars to
- 27:55Speaker 2: the spot. Let'sten five dollars to the Blacken. But now
- 27:59Speaker 2: things are going to get a little bit more interesting. See,
- 28:02Speaker 2: the Black End isn't just gonna sit back and you know,
- 28:05Speaker 2: toss in you know, fake ideas or try to throw
- 28:07Speaker 2: you guys off the scent, because they can also mess
- 28:11Speaker 2: with you. Now, starting with these three mysteries, during cases three, four,
- 28:16Speaker 2: and five, the Blackend is going to have two helps
- 28:19Speaker 2: that they can use prior to me reading out any
- 28:22Speaker 2: particular mystery. The first help is they can introduce a
- 28:25Speaker 2: red herring into the mystery. This will introduce a clue
- 28:28Speaker 2: that is deliberately designed to be misleading into the story
- 28:34Speaker 2: that otherwise would not be there. The second power is
- 28:38Speaker 2: the black And can knock out one player from one mystery,
- 28:43Speaker 2: meaning they'll have to shut their camera and their mic
- 28:46Speaker 2: off for the entirety of the mystery. They cannot help
- 28:48Speaker 2: in any way, but there's nothing to stop the black
- 28:53Speaker 2: And from choosing themselves, So bear that in mind. If
- 28:57Speaker 2: they want to use it to appear innocent, or if
- 29:00Speaker 2: they want to get rid of a rival, they can
- 29:01Speaker 2: use it either way. The Blacken, the Blackend can use
- 29:05Speaker 2: each of these only once, and they have to be
- 29:08Speaker 2: used if they're going to be used over the next
- 29:11Speaker 2: three cases. Understand With that having been said, before we
- 29:17Speaker 2: start case three, we need to find out if the
- 29:19Speaker 2: black End is going to do either of those things.
- 29:22Speaker 2: So if the four of you wouldn't mind turning your
- 29:25Speaker 2: camera off and shutting muting your mic, and once you're
- 29:32Speaker 2: all gone and mute it, Blackened, feel free to text
- 29:35Speaker 2: me if you would like to use the Red Herring
- 29:39Speaker 2: or the Knockout. If you're using the knockout, please tell
- 29:42Speaker 2: me which player you would like to knock out. And
- 29:45Speaker 2: while I'm waiting for the response Stevie and AUGI yeah,
- 29:49Speaker 2: how are you guys feeling? I know Augie said during
- 29:51Speaker 2: the break he was zero for two. Yeah, yeah, I
- 29:54Speaker 2: am Sherlock Holmes, I am not. That's fair fair.
- 29:58Speaker 1: The first one got I can want obviously screwed up
- 30:01Speaker 1: because the black and screwed me up and put me
- 30:03Speaker 1: down the wrong path and I thought slide slide, not
- 30:06Speaker 1: slide slide.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but I really am loving I'm loving them, like
- 30:12Speaker 1: the strategy here, because you don't know what's gonna happen.
- 30:16Speaker 1: The Blackings be like knocking myself because I'm like, what
- 30:20Speaker 1: would you.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Do in this situation?
- 30:22Speaker 1: You're trying to hide out, right, do you do you
- 30:23Speaker 1: take yourself out for one round? Or do you like
- 30:27Speaker 1: mess with somebody and take them out, thinking, Oh, now
- 30:29Speaker 1: everyone's to think they're the blacking because they took themselves out,
- 30:32Speaker 1: you know, to take somebody else out. I have the
- 30:34Speaker 1: worst luck with this order shit, So anything to make
- 30:36Speaker 1: myself look innocent would just incriminate me more, that's true. Yes, yes, yes, yes, so.
- 30:43Speaker 12: I'd probably just do somebody else honestly, all.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Right, I have my answer. Cool, So if everybody wouldn't
- 30:49Speaker 2: mind please turning your cameras and microphones back on. All right,
- 30:56Speaker 2: here's the good news. The black and did not choose
- 31:00Speaker 2: the knockout, because if they did, I would be instructing
- 31:02Speaker 2: that person to shut their camera off and mike. However,
- 31:07Speaker 2: I cannot tell you whether they picked the red herring.
- 31:12Speaker 2: You will only find out after the mystery if indeed
- 31:17Speaker 2: you stumbled into the red herring and made a mistake.
- 31:21Speaker 2: All right, Ready, here is case number three. The CEO
- 31:28Speaker 2: of Live Forever Entertainment is ironically no longer living. He
- 31:34Speaker 2: was struck on the back of the head while he
- 31:36Speaker 2: sat at his desk with one of his own Boss
- 31:39Speaker 2: of the Year awards. There are four possible suspects the
- 31:44Speaker 2: last four people working in the office besides the victim
- 31:48Speaker 2: that day, and unfortunately nobody saw anything. Head of Legal
- 31:54Speaker 2: Mike Mattsuo claims he merely sent a few important emails
- 32:00Speaker 2: about new legal statutes before leaving for the day. Accountant
- 32:06Speaker 2: Shirley Hayes says she was working late tracking down some
- 32:10Speaker 2: odd expenditures in billing. Security chief Zello Gower stated that
- 32:16Speaker 2: the cameras had been taken down in preparation to upgrade
- 32:21Speaker 2: to a cloud based security system, but everyone in the
- 32:25Speaker 2: company had been notified about it, and finally, Human resources
- 32:30Speaker 2: manager Abby Williams swears that she tried to arrange a
- 32:34Speaker 2: meeting with the CEO regarding some complaints, but he never
- 32:38Speaker 2: scheduled one with her. Taking a closer look at the
- 32:42Speaker 2: crime scene, it looks like the CEO knocked over a
- 32:46Speaker 2: printing calculator as they fell from their chair and their
- 32:50Speaker 2: fingers still rest on the keys. The print out reads
- 32:56Speaker 2: four or five on the top line, two three, one
- 33:00Speaker 2: zero on the next line, then six ' seven on
- 33:05Speaker 2: the next line. Then it repeats four or five on
- 33:10Speaker 2: the next line, two three, one zero on the next line,
- 33:15Speaker 2: and six seven on the final line. Now, this mystery
- 33:22Speaker 2: is worth ten dollars to whichever team manages to successfully
- 33:26Speaker 2: earn it, whether the Spotless for successfully solving the case
- 33:31Speaker 2: or the black end if they fail. Speaking of which,
- 33:33Speaker 2: we need a captain before we can get started, and
- 33:35Speaker 2: it cannot be Audra. Would anyone like to nominate a captain?
- 33:43Speaker 2: No one at all?
- 33:44Speaker 10: Oh, nominate Caroline?
- 33:45Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, all right? Is everyone in agreements? Looks to
- 33:51Speaker 2: be all around? Sounds great, Carolina. I will only accept
- 33:53Speaker 2: an answer from you, and heads up, you only have
- 33:58Speaker 2: two minutes. Oh god shit, all right, so it's your
- 34:05Speaker 2: job to figure out who asked the executive. Let the
- 34:09Speaker 2: NonStop debate begin.
- 34:13Speaker 5: Okay, lots of suspects, most this makes less time. Does
- 34:17Speaker 5: any anything jump out at anyone as immediately? Weird?
- 34:23Speaker 10: I do think it's weird that the CEO, I think
- 34:26Speaker 10: they said the CEO fell out of their chair, but
- 34:28Speaker 10: their fingers were still on the keys of the.
- 34:33Speaker 1: M did I hear?
- 34:35Speaker 11: I don't yeah, or at least it was like printed
- 34:39Speaker 11: out numbers.
- 34:41Speaker 10: I don't know, Yeah, like I maybe think maybe someone
- 34:44Speaker 10: planted their fingers there to make it look like they
- 34:46Speaker 10: were typing something.
- 34:48Speaker 2: But oh, because I.
- 34:51Speaker 11: Was thinking the accountant wanted to talk to them about
- 34:54Speaker 11: some funny expenditures and they were typing out numbers when
- 34:58Speaker 11: they died.
- 35:00Speaker 9: Mmmmmm hmm.
- 35:01Speaker 10: Maybe I don't know if that thing, why would they
- 35:05Speaker 10: repeat though?
- 35:07Speaker 6: Also, the back of the head is funky because like,
- 35:10Speaker 6: depending on where the desk is in relation to the door,
- 35:12Speaker 6: it would have meant that like they'd have to have
- 35:15Speaker 6: been hit in the back or like some I don't know,
- 35:17Speaker 6: if someone walked in and they were like trusted, I
- 35:22Speaker 6: don't know, you know what I mean, because it's like
- 35:23Speaker 6: if they were hit in the back of the head
- 35:25Speaker 6: and fell.
- 35:27Speaker 8: And they're facing the door and the desk. I don't know.
- 35:30Speaker 8: This is assuming the layout of the Yeah, I have
- 35:33Speaker 8: no idea.
- 35:34Speaker 5: Yeah, and struck with that, Oh yeah, struck with the
- 35:42Speaker 5: boss of the year aboard when the head of HR
- 35:44Speaker 5: knows very much that the bosses and boss of the
- 35:47Speaker 5: because of the meetings, and so it could just be
- 35:49Speaker 5: a righteous killing. And actually we're on the side of
- 35:52Speaker 5: the killer here, true, So no crime, So no crime again.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Ten seconds, I don't know hr HR for that reason.
- 36:06Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 36:07Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a silly reason compared to the accounting one,
- 36:09Speaker 5: but it's justified.
- 36:11Speaker 2: Time.
- 36:12Speaker 14: Is that good?
- 36:13Speaker 11: Oh?
- 36:14Speaker 7: Wait?
- 36:14Speaker 4: What?
- 36:14Speaker 2: Caroline didn't give an answer, but the last thing she
- 36:17Speaker 2: did say was HR. So I will accept that. Okay,
- 36:22Speaker 2: So human resources manager Abby Williams is that correct? Or
- 36:29Speaker 2: is the black and about to win some more money?
- 36:43Speaker 2: That's no, sorry, the black end has just won ten
- 36:47Speaker 2: more dollars for their own bank.
- 36:53Speaker 8: It sound like a bore than ten dollars.
- 36:56Speaker 2: You are leaning towards the executive having been placed there.
- 37:05Speaker 2: But what if he hadn't been placed there? What if
- 37:08Speaker 2: he knocked over the printing calculator and was trying to
- 37:10Speaker 2: send a message, a dying message? So what do the
- 37:15Speaker 2: lines have in common? Four or five, six, seven, two
- 37:20Speaker 2: three one zero? At first doesn't sound like much, but
- 37:23Speaker 2: if you remember that one in zero make ten, they
- 37:26Speaker 2: become four or five two three, ten sixty seven, four five, two, three,
- 37:32Speaker 2: ten sixty seven, all numbers that share the same first letter.
- 37:38Speaker 2: He was pointing to the head of Legal Mike Matsuo,
- 37:42Speaker 2: who is the only one whose name shares the same
- 37:46Speaker 2: first letter as his last name.
- 37:51Speaker 5: That is true, alliteration, too much.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Too much. Caroline's face is telling me I've done a
- 37:59Speaker 2: bad job.
- 38:01Speaker 11: There's a part of me that wants to say too much,
- 38:04Speaker 11: but then there's another part of me that didn't get
- 38:06Speaker 11: it right.
- 38:07Speaker 2: And so.
- 38:10Speaker 8: Matt Mike, Matt Suo, Mike Matt Suo, I'm sorry he got.
- 38:18Speaker 11: Away with it.
- 38:20Speaker 5: I wrote down all the names as well and thought, oh,
- 38:22Speaker 5: there's gonna be something in this, and then just thought, no,
- 38:24Speaker 5: no patterns, no nothing.
- 38:27Speaker 6: Us in order, and just was like, yep, okay, I
- 38:30Speaker 6: didn't pay attention to that at all.
- 38:33Speaker 13: The cameras.
- 38:35Speaker 2: That was the security chief, Zello Gower. That's what I said,
- 38:43Speaker 2: camera to upload a cloud save. You would be surprised. Yeah, yeah, okay,
- 38:55Speaker 2: well all right, didn't go the spotless as way. That's okay,
- 39:00Speaker 2: got to be pretty thrilled. But obviously they can't show it.
- 39:04Speaker 11: Uh.
- 39:04Speaker 2: Let's move on to case number four. Uh, and I'm
- 39:07Speaker 2: gonna ask you all to turn your cameras off and
- 39:09Speaker 2: mute your mute your microphones, nucar mic destroy it for
- 39:14Speaker 2: the nuclear weapon. Everybody's often muted blackened. Please text me
- 39:20Speaker 2: if you would like to use either of your helps. Uh,
- 39:24Speaker 2: if you would like to use neither, just say none
- 39:27Speaker 2: or nothing? Uh so, Stevian, Augie, what do you think?
- 39:32Speaker 2: I seriously thought.
- 39:36Speaker 1: It was hr as well.
- 39:37Speaker 2: I'm starting to think these are all too hard.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Well, I'm not really a good mysteries over though. Yeah,
- 39:45Speaker 1: this is not my bag at all. I'm like the
- 39:51Speaker 1: shaggy and Scooby.
- 39:52Speaker 2: Like you are. You're literally shaggy.
- 39:58Speaker 12: Around until until I get solved.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Yeah, we're along for the ride, man, Like, where does
- 40:02Speaker 1: your to like gas and have fun?
- 40:04Speaker 2: Okay? Very good? Yeah, hr all right or the security
- 40:08Speaker 2: guard that's fair. Both are wrong, but I have my answer.
- 40:13Speaker 2: So everybody turned your cameras and MIC's back on. Maddie,
- 40:22Speaker 2: you've been knocked out. I'm afraid. Oh god, no, the
- 40:26Speaker 2: best one, Maddie. Maddie, You're gonna have to turn your
- 40:33Speaker 2: camera and mute your mic for the entirety of this mystery.
- 40:36Speaker 2: But I would advise you to pay as much attention
- 40:40Speaker 2: as you can and see if you can find any
- 40:42Speaker 2: clues as to who the blackened is. Okay, god, yes, okay.
- 40:50Speaker 8: Though, because she is, she's as Smartie.
- 40:55Speaker 2: Made. That was a smart play currently going for her
- 40:58Speaker 2: masters and was valan Victorian?
- 41:00Speaker 8: So right, no bigtial.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Uh yeah, yeah, some slack to pick up. I went
- 41:07Speaker 2: to community college. I went, He didn't say graduated. I
- 41:15Speaker 2: visited a couple. Okay, So Maddie, just pay attention watch
- 41:20Speaker 2: your fellow players carefully. You might pick up a hint
- 41:25Speaker 2: as to whether or not one of them is the blackened.
- 41:28Speaker 2: For the rest of you. Here is case number four,
- 41:31Speaker 2: Like before, two minutes on the clock, and this is
- 41:34Speaker 2: worth another ten dollars. Case number four, the body of
- 41:40Speaker 2: a high profile lawyer was found hanging from a noose
- 41:44Speaker 2: in his office after his husband notified police he hadn't
- 41:49Speaker 2: come home. Murder was suspected immediately. There are five notable
- 41:55Speaker 2: previous clients who were angry enough with the lawyer to
- 41:59Speaker 2: kill him Yorba, the Greek, Anthony, Latin, Ryan, Hebrew, Simon, Cyrillic,
- 42:09Speaker 2: and Johnny English. There's only one thing that might point
- 42:16Speaker 2: to the murderer. The day he died, the lawyer emailed
- 42:20Speaker 2: his husband that he was going to be late because
- 42:24Speaker 2: he'd taken an after hours meeting with a former client.
- 42:28Speaker 2: He wrote, Now, love, I know you worry about these things,
- 42:32Speaker 2: but he's not stupid enough to try something that will
- 42:34Speaker 2: land him back in prison, and he might help exonerate
- 42:37Speaker 2: some folks who really don't deserve prison. I know you
- 42:41Speaker 2: like puzzles, so solve this one and you'll know who
- 42:44Speaker 2: I'm meeting. What alphabet has fifteen letters? Now, team, you
- 42:53Speaker 2: should have everything you need. We need a captain, and
- 42:57Speaker 2: it cannot be Caroline. The only place who hasn't been
- 43:00Speaker 2: captain yet is Matt. So I would offer that up
- 43:03Speaker 2: as an option, is that.
- 43:07Speaker 5: I'll take it.
- 43:08Speaker 2: All right, you seem to be an agreement, so Matt,
- 43:11Speaker 2: you'll be the captain. I will only accept an answer
- 43:13Speaker 2: from you. Remember, I need to get an answer before
- 43:16Speaker 2: the clack sun goes, So when I shout ten seconds,
- 43:19Speaker 2: give me.
- 43:20Speaker 8: Something, give an answer.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Okay, Team, you should have everything you need to figure
- 43:24Speaker 2: out who lynched the litigator. Let the NonStop debate begin.
- 43:30Speaker 5: Okay. Which alphabet out of those surnames has fifteen leaves?
- 43:33Speaker 8: Greek, Hebrew, English? What are the other two?
- 43:36Speaker 5: Uh, Cyrillic and Latin. I'm not sure about Cyrillic at all,
- 43:43Speaker 5: and I feel like Greek definitely has more.
- 43:46Speaker 11: Greek I thought has twenty four.
- 43:52Speaker 8: What was the first name of the Cyrillic person?
- 43:55Speaker 5: I don't have that because that was what I was saying,
- 43:58Speaker 5: thinking it.
- 43:59Speaker 8: Could be like Simon.
- 44:01Speaker 6: Did you say Simon, because it could be like the
- 44:05Speaker 6: number of letters in the name too, but oh.
- 44:11Speaker 5: Yeah, I like the sound of that land him back
- 44:18Speaker 5: into crazy.
- 44:19Speaker 8: So it's not Yorba unless yorba's a man, I assume,
- 44:24Speaker 8: or as a woman. And what was the Latin.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Personally, Anthony?
- 44:29Speaker 7: Anthony?
- 44:31Speaker 11: Maybe I'm overthinking this is this distinct letters? Well, I
- 44:38Speaker 11: guess those don't share it.
- 44:39Speaker 8: By the way, I think it's Hebrew.
- 44:43Speaker 5: Because what was that person's name, Ryan, Yeah.
- 44:49Speaker 8: Because I think Hebrew only has fifteen. I could totally not,
- 44:55Speaker 8: but that's I don't know. I don't know for sure.
- 44:56Speaker 6: I'm pretty sure it's not Greek though, because I've learned
- 44:59Speaker 6: the entirety of the greet alf of that when I
- 45:00Speaker 6: was in sixth grade, and it's like twenty I think
- 45:04Speaker 6: you're twenty two.
- 45:05Speaker 8: It's like a little less than the Arabic numerals.
- 45:08Speaker 5: Uh huh.
- 45:09Speaker 8: And also, what is the English alphabet, because it's not
- 45:12Speaker 8: it's not called right.
- 45:14Speaker 5: It's it's just.
- 45:17Speaker 2: Alphabet.
- 45:18Speaker 5: I think is with Ryan Hebrew?
- 45:20Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 45:21Speaker 8: Sure, Ryan, Yeah, Ryan Hebrew.
- 45:24Speaker 5: Yeah, we're gonna go with Ryan he.
- 45:27Speaker 6: Is Yeah.
- 45:28Speaker 2: Some crimes. All right, the captain has locked in Ryan
- 45:34Speaker 2: Hebrew for another ten dollars, hopefully this time to the
- 45:38Speaker 2: Spotlesses bank. But if you're wrong, it goes to the
- 45:41Speaker 2: blackened is Ryan Hebrew the killer?
- 45:55Speaker 8: No, that's wrong, the two so hard.
- 46:00Speaker 2: Oh that's another ten dollars into the black Ends bank.
- 46:04Speaker 2: So congratulations to the black And I suppose h Maddie,
- 46:09Speaker 2: do you have any idea? Nope, sorry, just a big
- 46:22Speaker 2: old nope. I saw YouTube Stevie and Augie track. We
- 46:28Speaker 2: were on the same track they were. You were on
- 46:30Speaker 2: the same Yeah.
- 46:31Speaker 12: I thought Ryan Hebrew.
- 46:32Speaker 5: I thought you had it.
- 46:33Speaker 2: I'm like, I will tell you you are on the
- 46:37Speaker 2: right track. You were on the right track, I should say,
- 46:41Speaker 2: and then you veered off. So, uh, what alphabet has
- 46:46Speaker 2: fifteen letters? Well, you don't say the Ryan Hebrew alphabet.
- 46:50Speaker 2: You don't say the Anthony Latin alphabet. You would say
- 46:53Speaker 2: the Latin alphabet or the Hebrew alphabet or English alphabet.
- 46:58Speaker 2: And the phrase English alphabet has fifteen letters, It was English. Okay.
- 47:06Speaker 11: I had counted out and I was like, okay, this
- 47:08Speaker 11: one's at ten twelve.
- 47:09Speaker 2: That English has seven letters, alphabet has eight. That wasn't
- 47:12Speaker 2: overly complicated. Just didn't think of that one. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 47:16Speaker 2: I didn't think of it. Well, Okay, Spotless are not
- 47:19Speaker 2: doing great. They have five dollars to their name. The
- 47:22Speaker 2: black And is doing great.
- 47:23Speaker 8: You know, I'm just grateful that the Black End is
- 47:25Speaker 8: playing for charity.
- 47:28Speaker 2: This money is going to listen, it's all going to
- 47:33Speaker 2: cause anywhere.
- 47:34Speaker 8: I'm like, you know what, this sucks, but like.
- 47:36Speaker 2: It, like I'm bittersweet.
- 47:37Speaker 8: At the end of the day. Someone's getting some money.
- 47:41Speaker 5: He said, he's aid justified murders.
- 47:46Speaker 2: Okay, just like mine will be. And you all kill
- 47:51Speaker 2: me like murder on the Orner Express. Okay, who's done it?
- 47:57Speaker 2: They all killed it. Let's move on to case number five.
- 48:02Speaker 2: So one more time, and I apologize for this. Would
- 48:05Speaker 2: everybody please turn off your microphone and your camera, and
- 48:09Speaker 2: for the last time this game, I will ask Blackened,
- 48:12Speaker 2: would you like to use one of your two alps?
- 48:16Speaker 2: Now we know we use the knockout. If they've already
- 48:18Speaker 2: used their red herring, then nothing's gonna happen here. But
- 48:21Speaker 2: we don't know if they've used their red herring or not,
- 48:23Speaker 2: and I can't tell you until we're done, right, just
- 48:25Speaker 2: make sure your phone's silence too, so we don't hear
- 48:27Speaker 2: it when it goes off. No, well, I mean you'll
- 48:29Speaker 2: hear it, but it won't tell you who it is.
- 48:31Speaker 2: They all have the same ring though, Yes, sure that's true.
- 48:34Speaker 1: Good point.
- 48:35Speaker 2: So okay, I have my answer. So everybody you can
- 48:38Speaker 2: come on back and turn your cameras and MIC's back on. No,
- 48:44Speaker 2: obviously no one's getting knocked out. You're all going to
- 48:46Speaker 2: play this time. And there's Caroline here. She is excellent. Okay,
- 48:51Speaker 2: So here's case number five. This case is worth twenty dollars,
- 48:58Speaker 2: and you again have two minutes. We need a new captain.
- 49:01Speaker 2: It cannot be matt Would anyone like to nominate someone?
- 49:08Speaker 11: Maddie is the only one we got some mad.
- 49:13Speaker 8: The only way we have so much faith, even though.
- 49:18Speaker 2: No I like, I like the way you're thinking. But
- 49:23Speaker 2: before you make that selection, let me just inform you.
- 49:26Speaker 2: Case number six is the hardest one. You have the
- 49:30Speaker 2: shortest time, but it's worth fifty dollars. So if you
- 49:35Speaker 2: really believe that much in Maddie, maybe it's worth saving
- 49:38Speaker 2: her inside the last case.
- 49:40Speaker 10: Or maybe I don't know if you should believe that much.
- 49:46Speaker 5: Last it's already decided. We believe in you the best. Yeah,
- 49:53Speaker 5: let's say save.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Yeah. Okay, So Carolina or Audra, I.
- 50:01Speaker 11: Think Caroline, Caroline, Okay, okay, I promise.
- 50:13Speaker 2: You're good. You're good, You're good. You still got an
- 50:15Speaker 2: answer in So that's the most important to you. Don't
- 50:18Speaker 2: want to go without an answer. Okay. So here is
- 50:23Speaker 2: case number five. It's another case of poisoning, but this
- 50:29Speaker 2: one's not as clear cut. The victim's name is Melanie.
- 50:34Speaker 2: She was out with her boyfriend Trevor and her best
- 50:37Speaker 2: friend Vanessa and her partner Susan were out at club
- 50:42Speaker 2: Murder for fun, drinks and dancing. The owner Aiden stated
- 50:47Speaker 2: that the girls are regulars and stopped by while refilling
- 50:51Speaker 2: the ice to say hello. According to the bartender, Giles,
- 50:56Speaker 2: both Vanessa and Melanie ordered drinks, and Vanessa easily outstripped Melanie,
- 51:02Speaker 2: drinking five drinks in the time it took Melanie to
- 51:06Speaker 2: drink one. This due to the fact that Trevor kept
- 51:09Speaker 2: pulling her onto the dance floor, while Susan, a teetotaler,
- 51:14Speaker 2: kept an eye on Melanie's drink. But despite the fact
- 51:18Speaker 2: that both girls' glasses contained traces of poison. Vanessa only
- 51:23Speaker 2: got sick while Melanie died. Susan, of course didn't drink anything,
- 51:29Speaker 2: and Trevor claimed to be feeling unwell when they arrived,
- 51:32Speaker 2: so he didn't drink either. The dishwasher, Clem, claimed he
- 51:37Speaker 2: saw Melanie's boyfriend Trevor, sprinkle something in the glasses when
- 51:42Speaker 2: the girl's backs were turned, but multiple witnesses, including the bartender,
- 51:47Speaker 2: say they saw Clem at the bar talking to Vanessa.
- 51:51Speaker 2: When searched, nobody was found to have any trace of
- 51:54Speaker 2: the poison on them, though Susan had an empty insulin
- 51:58Speaker 2: injector on her and Trevor had a suspicious bottle of pills. Finally,
- 52:04Speaker 2: while doing background checks, it was discovered that the club's owner,
- 52:08Speaker 2: Aiden has a history of violent crime. He hasn't killed anyone,
- 52:13Speaker 2: but he has done time for multiple assaults. So I'm
- 52:20Speaker 2: gonna ask, does anybody have any questions aside from who
- 52:23Speaker 2: is the murderer? You're not allowed to ask that, damn.
- 52:28Speaker 12: Sorry, Stephen, my first question.
- 52:30Speaker 2: This is by far the longest mysteries. I'm giving you
- 52:32Speaker 2: the chance to ask any questions you might have Before
- 52:35Speaker 2: I started the timer.
- 52:37Speaker 8: I just need to write something down and then I think,
- 52:44Speaker 8: could you just go over who the like.
- 52:47Speaker 2: People employed by the bar are again, Giles is the bartender,
- 52:52Speaker 2: Clem is the dishwasher, and Aiden is the owner.
- 53:01Speaker 8: Great names. Though their parents did well.
- 53:04Speaker 2: Maddie looks like she might be onto something. Okay, let's
- 53:07Speaker 2: find out. We're ready to start, so you should have
- 53:11Speaker 2: everything you need to figure out who contaminated the cocktail.
- 53:14Speaker 2: Let the NonStop debate begin.
- 53:18Speaker 10: I have a thought, and forgive me because I feel
- 53:20Speaker 10: like I've been like taking a lot of the floor,
- 53:22Speaker 10: but we love it.
- 53:24Speaker 2: My theory that I meet.
- 53:27Speaker 10: My first theory is that Susan, who had the empty
- 53:30Speaker 10: insulin injector, is the murderer because if she gave Melanie
- 53:34Speaker 10: insulin poisoning in her drink, Melanie could have died from
- 53:38Speaker 10: low blood sugar. Whereas even if Vanessa had like the
- 53:41Speaker 10: same dose of insulin, she drank five drinks which would
- 53:44Speaker 10: have shot her sugar really high and she wouldn't know that.
- 53:47Speaker 8: That is exactly what I was thinking.
- 53:52Speaker 11: Yeah, that's irrelevant, Trevor. Trevor is a bad guy, but
- 53:55Speaker 11: that's fully irrelevant.
- 53:57Speaker 5: I think to the story that might be the red hair.
- 54:00Speaker 6: I think Trevor and Melanie could attend their relationship. But yeah, yeah,
- 54:08Speaker 6: I'm very confident in that as well.
- 54:10Speaker 8: Maddie. I second that that it's Susan. Okay.
- 54:13Speaker 5: Also, Susan being the teetotala is just like the extra
- 54:16Speaker 5: little thing on top of like, Oh, Susan wouldn't be
- 54:18Speaker 5: anywhere near the drinks except yeah, like and.
- 54:25Speaker 11: The Trevor like them saying I think it was Trevor
- 54:28Speaker 11: who may have put stuff in their drinks. Or Aiden
- 54:33Speaker 11: having a history that feels very like look.
- 54:37Speaker 2: At me, right, could be there in this one.
- 54:41Speaker 8: Yeah, there was too much information in my opinion that there.
- 54:44Speaker 8: It's probably in here somewhere, yeah.
- 54:46Speaker 10: Or like the bartender that Aiden, whoever I think he's No,
- 54:50Speaker 10: he's not the bartender Gilestor. But Aiden that in violent
- 54:53Speaker 10: history feels like it could.
- 54:55Speaker 8: Be in red harring to me.
- 54:56Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, the ball is probably called the right tig
- 55:00Speaker 5: ring of something like that.
- 55:01Speaker 8: It's actually murder.
- 55:04Speaker 2: Ten second right down the murder.
- 55:08Speaker 8: Seconds. Oh, Susan, I said, Susan.
- 55:15Speaker 2: Mocked it all right.
- 55:22Speaker 8: I don't even know if insulin poisoning is a thing.
- 55:24Speaker 8: So I really trusted Maddie on that one, but I hadn't.
- 55:27Speaker 8: I was like it's could be real.
- 55:29Speaker 2: So this case is worth twenty dollars. It's the highest
- 55:32Speaker 2: value case so far. It would even things out. If
- 55:35Speaker 2: the spotlets get it, it would be twenty five dollars
- 55:37Speaker 2: to each side. However, if you're wrong, it's another twenty
- 55:42Speaker 2: dollars to the black End, putting them at a forty
- 55:45Speaker 2: five dollars to five dollars advantage going into the final mystery.
- 55:51Speaker 2: Is Susan the killer?
- 56:04Speaker 14: It's rare?
- 56:06Speaker 2: What are you so? The black End has just earned
- 56:13Speaker 2: another twenty dollars.
- 56:16Speaker 8: Maddie, I swear to God if you made up insulin poisoning.
- 56:21Speaker 2: I did not.
- 56:22Speaker 10: You can put someone into a coma by giving them
- 56:24Speaker 10: extra and that's what.
- 56:26Speaker 2: Okay, okay, So Steve and Aga, you guys looked like
- 56:30Speaker 2: you didn't.
- 56:31Speaker 1: I was in the same boat. I thought it was insulin.
- 56:33Speaker 1: I really did. Does it makes sense?
- 56:35Speaker 8: Was that the red herring?
- 56:36Speaker 14: Oh?
- 56:36Speaker 2: God, well, now that we're done with case five, I
- 56:39Speaker 2: can tell you no, it wasn't. The red herring was
- 56:41Speaker 2: used in case three. It changed the security chief's name
- 56:46Speaker 2: to Zelo, which on a calculator would look like two
- 56:49Speaker 2: three one zero. But nobody fell for that, so it
- 56:54Speaker 2: didn't matter.
- 56:55Speaker 8: Well, we didn't even think.
- 56:57Speaker 2: I didn't even think about the numbers. Was just all
- 56:59Speaker 2: in and on the room was positioned.
- 57:06Speaker 5: It seemed impoltent.
- 57:07Speaker 2: So here's the answer. If Vanessa only got sick and
- 57:12Speaker 2: Melanie died, that suggests that despite drinking far more than Melanie,
- 57:17Speaker 2: Vanessa consumed less of the poison. This makes sense if
- 57:22Speaker 2: the poison was in the ice, as it didn't have
- 57:25Speaker 2: as much time to melt in Vanessa's glass before she
- 57:28Speaker 2: finished the drink, and the bartender tossed the ice in
- 57:30Speaker 2: the glass before preparing her a new drink. This means
- 57:33Speaker 2: the killer is the person who supplied the ice, the owner.
- 57:36Speaker 2: Aiden it's bullshit.
- 57:40Speaker 8: I like our version.
- 57:46Speaker 11: I think what we're getting from this is that we
- 57:47Speaker 11: should write some mystery novels.
- 57:50Speaker 2: Is that what's happening? And I shouldn't. I'm feeling very
- 57:57Speaker 2: much like a failure at this moment. This is awesome.
- 58:03Speaker 11: Please note that we got it wrong, so that's going
- 58:08Speaker 11: to taint our.
- 58:11Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I know that's fair. That's fair. That's fair. Okay,
- 58:15Speaker 2: I don't like being wrong. Listen, I get it, I
- 58:18Speaker 2: get it. Listen. The game's not over. Spotless, have a
- 58:21Speaker 2: chance to win this back. Like I said, the final
- 58:23Speaker 2: case is worth fifty bucks and can easily even things out.
- 58:27Speaker 2: I'm cheering you on Spotless, I really am. But let's
- 58:30Speaker 2: let's get to that. After a short break.
- 58:45Speaker 14: We interrupt this program to bring you a new splash.
- 58:48Speaker 12: Michael Jackson's ghost scene out a Yankees game, Cinnamon To's
- 58:53Speaker 12: Crunch Now with a shrimp in every bite. Lil Uziird's
- 58:57Speaker 12: head Diamond has been sold on the dark Web.
- 59:01Speaker 6: Stories like this and more can be found at the
- 59:03Speaker 6: ever Trending Story, a podcast where we peruse the news
- 59:07Speaker 6: and write a fun fictional story for you.
- 59:10Speaker 12: Find us wherever you download podcasts and follow us on
- 59:12Speaker 12: the socials at ever Trending Pod. And we are proud
- 59:16Speaker 12: members of the Odd Pods Media Network.
- 59:33Speaker 2: Welcome back to dangan Rope. In the game show, our
- 59:36Speaker 2: team is struggling. Let's be honest, hey, Spotless the black
- 59:43Speaker 2: and is doing great. Blackens having a great time, just
- 59:47Speaker 2: chilling forty five dollars in their bank, five dollars in
- 59:50Speaker 2: the Spotless bank. But as I said, that can all change.
- 59:53Speaker 2: This sixth and final mystery is worth fifty bucks to
- 59:58Speaker 2: whichever side can claim it. So I'm really rooting for
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: the spot list to come back here and even things up,
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: because I think that'll make things much more interesting for
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: the end game. But we're not there yet. So let's
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: get to this mystery. I'm going to tell you beforehand,
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: as I said, it's worth fifty bucks. But now you
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: only have ninety seconds, so make the best of your time.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: Ask me questions before we start the timer, whatever you
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: have to do to get into your brain set to
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: be ready to solve this. And as I told you,
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: this will be a little bit more straightforward than the
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: ones before, So if you are ready, we need one
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: final captain. I believe we saved Maddie for this. So
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: does everyone still want to make Maddie the captain?
- 1:00:44Speaker 14: Yeah?
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: Ubsolutely come down?
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: Okay three votes, three votes of confidence. Maddie, you got this.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: I was way too confident. I was over confident last year.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: All right, Ready, here is case number six. The serial
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: killer has struck again, leaving another corpse with another twisted
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: riddle carved into the flesh. That makes four. Here are
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: the four riddles we have. Riddle number one, I'm the
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: oldest of my kind. Take a letter away from me,
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: and I'm powered up. But add a letter and I
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: vanish Riddle number two. My brother is arguably more famous
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: than I, but my name sounds like I can riddle
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: number three. I'm a four letter word that fills in
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: all of these blanks. Blank. I ate the man's kidney.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: I blank ate the man's kidney. I ate the man's
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: blank kidney. Riddle number four. I'm part of what helps
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: you see outside, and if you're like me, you're goofy.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: The police have only managed to narrow it down to
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: seven possible suspects, Simone w Tricia, Friedrich, Alana, Caroline, and George.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: Before we start the timer, does anyone want me to
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: repeat any of the riddles or any of the suspects?
- 1:02:50Speaker 8: Could you repeat all of the riddles except the fourth.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: One one, I'll go through riddles one, two, and three.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: You're riddle number one. I'm the oldest of my kind.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: Take a letter away from me and I'm powered up.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: But add a letter and I vanish riddle number two.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: My brothers arguably more famous than I, but my name
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: sounds like I can riddle number three. I'm a four
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: letter word that fills in all of these blanks. Blank.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: I ate the man's kidney. I blank ate the man's kidney.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: I ate the man's blank kidney. That should be everything.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: Everybody's in extreme focus. Mattie, you're a captain. I will
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: only accept an answer from you. You should have everything
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: you need to catch.
- 1:04:04Speaker 8: How do you spell all of the names?
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: Okay, Simone s I M O N E W is
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: spelled W, Tricia t R I s h A, Friedrich
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: f r I E d r I c h Alana
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: A l O n n A, Caroline Well c A
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: r O l I n E and George g E
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: O R g E. All right, now you should have everything?
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: Oh I hope so? Okay, this is it for fifty dollars.
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: You have ninety seconds to catch this cantankerous criminal. Let
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: this final NonStop debate begin.
- 1:05:09Speaker 10: The only riddle I think I know the answer to
- 1:05:11Speaker 10: is number three. Okay, I think it could be only
- 1:05:16Speaker 10: the word only, like only I ate the man's kidney,
- 1:05:18Speaker 10: I only ate the man's kidney.
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: I ate the man's only kidney.
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: Okay, what name links to? Only a longer?
- 1:05:29Speaker 10: We have to figure out the four and that will
- 1:05:31Speaker 10: tell us something about what this person's name is.
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: Okay, Okay, I think I know two.
- 1:05:38Speaker 8: Okay, what is it?
- 1:05:42Speaker 11: Brothers more famous? My name sounds like I can. I
- 1:05:46Speaker 11: can sounds like Abel, Cana and Abel?
- 1:05:49Speaker 8: Oh okay, oh that's a good one. Okay maybe Oh.
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: So what the two answers we've got then Abel.
- 1:06:00Speaker 12: And and only?
- 1:06:03Speaker 10: Well it would be if the answer would be Kine, right,
- 1:06:06Speaker 10: the brother is able?
- 1:06:08Speaker 11: No, my name sounds like I can.
- 1:06:12Speaker 10: Abel sounds like I can, and Kane is more famous?
- 1:06:15Speaker 10: Or is it Caine sounds like I can.
- 1:06:18Speaker 11: I thought Abel like I am able to do something.
- 1:06:21Speaker 11: I can do something?
- 1:06:23Speaker 10: Okay?
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: Oh?
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: Sh seven six?
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:06:34Speaker 8: I'm gonna guess Allana because it is so weird.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: Yeah, just before a time.
- 1:06:43Speaker 8: I have no idea though, more that one.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: All right. So one of two things has just happened.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: Either the Spotless have successfully caught this game up and
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: are playing pretty even against the black and fifty five
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: dollars to forty five, or the Black end has nearly
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: swept the board with a ninety five dollars bank against
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: the Spotless is five dollars.
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: I hope not.
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: Let's find out is a Lana the serial killer?
- 1:07:30Speaker 8: That's very wrong, Lord, very wrong, very wrong.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: It's very wrong. So the black End has a staggering
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: ninety five dollars in their bank. So, because we cannot
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: have a five dollar bank split amongst three deserving charities,
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: I'm upping the spotlesses bank to a minimum of twenty dollars.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: That's fair, fair, so it would just be unfair. So
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: the spotless do indeed have something to play for, but
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: the black and has even more to play for. Just
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: be aware. So here's everything. So the first riddle, take
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: the E away from the number one and you get on,
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: but add G to it it becomes gone, and one
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: would have logically been the first number. So the answer
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: to the first riddle is one. The person with the
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: famous brother whose name sounds like I can is able.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: The only four letter word that successfully fills in all
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: three blanks is the four letter word only. And a
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: window helps you see outside. And if you're goofy, you're silly.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: So the answer to riddle number four is sill. If
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: you arrange those four answers, only one still able. It
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: sounds like only one, meaning the killer is the only
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: suspect whose name is a single syllable. George March.
- 1:09:16Speaker 5: Wow, that was kind Yeah, that's very clever.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: Maddie's giving me a hardcore look right now.
- 1:09:29Speaker 11: I am mad because that was so clever. And if
- 1:09:31Speaker 11: I had if I had ninety three seconds, I still
- 1:09:35Speaker 11: wouldn't have gotten it.
- 1:09:36Speaker 6: But I think even if I had had three minutes,
- 1:09:40Speaker 6: I couldn't I maybe could have figured that out.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: I was I thought you guys were gonna get it,
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: like and then you started squabbling over Caine, whether Caine
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: was the answer, were able and I'm like, no, you're
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: You're close, You're close.
- 1:09:52Speaker 8: Keep going.
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: Okay, So all the mysteries are done with. It's now
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: time to see if the Spotless can figure out who
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: the Black End is. So here's the way this is
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: gonna work. I'm gonna ask each of you. You all
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: have a notebook, right, I'm gonna ask each of you
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: to have a piece of paper ready. We're not going
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: to do an all out discussion because that tends to
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: devolve into arguing and I'm not going to allow it.
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: I would instead prefer to give everyone thirty seconds to
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: make their case for who they think the Black End is.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: Everyone's going to get a chance, even the blackened, so
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: just be aware they may be leading you in the
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: wrong direction. But we will start with Maddie since she
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: was our very first captain. Maddie, I'm gonna give you
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: thirty seconds to just say who you think the blacken
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: might be. It doesn't have to be the person you
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: vote for. In fact, I'm not going to tell you
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: to write down a vote until we're all done. So, Mattie,
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: with thirty seconds, who do you think the black end
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: could be? And why?
- 1:11:02Speaker 10: Okay, So I am suspicious of either Audre or Matt
- 1:11:07Speaker 10: personally because I do know Caroline. She's my dear friend.
- 1:11:11Speaker 10: I know her pretty well, and I know that she
- 1:11:14Speaker 10: a lot like me, gets very anxious if she is
- 1:11:17Speaker 10: like the bad guy or the black end in one
- 1:11:18Speaker 10: of these games. And I don't see her seeming like
- 1:11:22Speaker 10: super anxious throughout this game, Like she seems like she's
- 1:11:24Speaker 10: acting pretty normal, So I don't think it's her. I'm
- 1:11:31Speaker 10: leaning towards Audra Matt, and not one hundred percent stile
- 1:11:33Speaker 10: of which of them I'm going to vote for yet.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: Okay, that's time. Let's move on. Who was our second captain.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: I believe it was Audre. Yes, Audre, it'll be you. Audrey.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: You have thirty seconds. Please explain who you think the
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: Blacken could be and why.
- 1:11:51Speaker 11: Maybe it's the same exact thing is that Matt I
- 1:11:55Speaker 11: have a harder time with it, so I think it's
- 1:11:57Speaker 11: probably one of you two.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: I have.
- 1:12:02Speaker 11: Recorded podcasts with Caroline before, and so this feels pretty
- 1:12:06Speaker 11: standard behavior. So I feel like I'm probably gonna go
- 1:12:10Speaker 11: with Maddie. And this was just because I have more
- 1:12:13Speaker 11: of a bassline for Matt's behavior if he was hiding
- 1:12:16Speaker 11: something in Caroline's behavior on podcasts, So I'm probably gonna
- 1:12:19Speaker 11: go with Maddie as my most likely.
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: Okay, ye, our third captain was the ever reluctant Caroline. Caroline,
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: you have thirty seconds. Please say who you think the
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: black and could be and why.
- 1:12:34Speaker 8: Okay, I I don't know why. I think it's Matt
- 1:12:39Speaker 8: because he's got this silly little grin going on, and
- 1:12:45Speaker 8: but I don't know if he just always hass that.
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: Has also said very little, so it could be a
- 1:12:53Speaker 6: tactic to hide. But I yeah, I'm pretty sure Maddie
- 1:12:57Speaker 6: is telling the truth because I know her very well
- 1:13:00Speaker 6: and I think.
- 1:13:01Speaker 8: You're being genuine. But I'm just like scared. I don't
- 1:13:05Speaker 8: know you as well as I think I know you,
- 1:13:07Speaker 8: but I think you're good. I think I trust her
- 1:13:10Speaker 8: time all right.
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: And finally, our last person to leave, Captain Matt, Please
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: explain who you think the black and could be and
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: why go?
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I genuinely don't know. If I was viewing this
- 1:13:24Speaker 5: game as an outsider, I'd also think it was me,
- 1:13:27Speaker 5: and then even me saying that makes it makes it
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: seem like it's me. I think it's probably Madie or
- 1:13:31Speaker 5: Caroline for similar reasons to to what Wadra was saying.
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: Caroline is also an actor as well, and so like
- 1:13:38Speaker 5: that could be playing into this in terms of just
- 1:13:40Speaker 5: like I would normally be nervous, but I'm going to
- 1:13:43Speaker 5: play the role of someone who isn't. So I'm leaning
- 1:13:45Speaker 5: more towards Caroline maybe. But it could be Maddie, could
- 1:13:48Speaker 5: be Oldra, could be me, okay, well, could Stevie, could.
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: Be could Bear, could could literally. It can't be me,
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: and it can't be Seeing. It can't be August. It
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: is legitimately one of the four of you. So now
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: I'm going to ask you to write down your vote.
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: Who would you like to vote for as the Black End.
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: The Black End needs to get a majority. A tie
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: will not do it, Okay, So either two votes for
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: the black end and one for two other people, or
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: three votes for the black end is what it will take.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: I'm thinking, I don't know if I should sway anything.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: If don't, Yeah, don't say anything until after they've all
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: written down there. Then you can say whatever you need.
- 1:14:36Speaker 8: So we're writing, sorry, we're writing our vote down.
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: Write your vote down on your little piece of paper,
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: so it's written down, permanent, cannot change it. Okay. Caroline
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: looks done, matt looks done, Otter looks done, but not
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: thrilled with it. Mattie also looks done. Okay. I don't
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: like putting down when I don't know. Okay, so all
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: four of you have written your vote and you cannot
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: change it now, Stevie and Aggy, I will turn to you.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: Do either of you have any idea?
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: I have an inkling. Okay, it's either Mattie or matt
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: I'm just not sure where yet.
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: It's so difficult.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: So you think Maddie knocked herself, Yes, okay, interesting.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: It's a very good possible. But it's a great strategy
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: really too.
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: She also did get the first one right, which would
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: knock I get what you're thinking and any ideas.
- 1:15:38Speaker 8: I think it's Caroline.
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: With a little knowing grin, just because yeah, they know
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: each other really well. But she also knows how good
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: she is too. She even mentioned it a few times
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: during the episode. Wouldn't she knock out? They're both extraordinary actresses.
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: I wouldn't put anything past either of them. So and anyway,
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: it's done. So now I will ask you to all
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: hold up your cards, one at a time, and I'll
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: ask you to read off your vote, and we will
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: start with Maddie. Maddie, who did you vote for?
- 1:16:09Speaker 10: In the end, I don't know if you can see
- 1:16:12Speaker 10: this because I don't actually have paper. I'm just using
- 1:16:14Speaker 10: my phone.
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: But I'm voting. I'm voting for Matt. Hi, yes, I
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: can read that. Okay, it is a vote for Matt. Okay,
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: one vote for Matt Audre. Who did you vote for?
- 1:16:29Speaker 11: A vote for Maddie? I'm sorry?
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: Also, is that okay?
- 1:16:35Speaker 11: I also put a face underneath, but then I ripped
- 1:16:38Speaker 11: it off because I thought that was too much.
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: I'm just I am sorry if you are not okay, Okay, Caroline,
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: who did you vote for?
- 1:16:49Speaker 8: Okay? So I voted for Maddie. Oh no, sorry, Maddie.
- 1:16:58Speaker 8: I just something but I look, I lost you out
- 1:17:00Speaker 8: in then I was like, sorry, man.
- 1:17:04Speaker 14: I'm sorry.
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: And finally, matt if you voted.
- 1:17:09Speaker 5: For that, yeah, I vote for Caroline Book. I vote
- 1:17:14Speaker 5: Mattie first crossed it out and now I also think
- 1:17:16Speaker 5: it's Maddie.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: Well, the fact of the matter is it doesn't matter.
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: We still have a majority two votes for Maddie. So Maddie,
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: now I will ask if you are the black end,
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: you can reveal it. Are you spotless or are you blackened?
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: I'm spotless black and reveal yourself.
- 1:17:37Speaker 8: It's fucking mad. It's the only person who receives no votes.
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: You're good at this game. Absolutely, We're not good tear
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: families apart. And as such, I am joking. Odra has
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: just won ninety five dollars for her charity. Nice congratulations,
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: good job.
- 1:18:12Speaker 11: Really it is you mentioned the thing of like at
- 1:18:17Speaker 11: least at least they are like playing for charity, and
- 1:18:21Speaker 11: that is how I sleep at night, how I will
- 1:18:26Speaker 11: sleep at night. I got myself a little mimosa and
- 1:18:30Speaker 11: I said, let's do it for doctors without borders.
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: Hey, yeah, well, doctors without borders will be receiving a
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: ninety five dollars donation in your name. Congratulations, Audre. The
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: rest of you are not walking away empty handed. I
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: will be doing a five dollars token donation to each
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: of your charities, just to make sure they get something
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: for your participation. And thank you so much for joining
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: in on this extremely silly, uh if apparently somewhat frustrating event.
- 1:19:02Speaker 8: I have so much fun.
- 1:19:06Speaker 5: Yeah, attention of that final five minutes, and the sweve
- 1:19:10Speaker 5: of it being.
- 1:19:11Speaker 8: That I truly could not write that.
- 1:19:14Speaker 12: Yeah, I know all the answers, but they also have
- 1:19:17Speaker 12: to pretend to not know all the answer.
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: You played a blinder, and I thought, I thought the
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: the most ingenious thing was actually volunteering one of the
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: riddle solutions. At the very end. There you were like,
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: I can give this one in, but you didn't give
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: any more than that.
- 1:19:32Speaker 11: You were just like I even texted you because there
- 1:19:35Speaker 11: was the red herring. I did the red harring on
- 1:19:37Speaker 11: the first one, and then the knockout in the second one,
- 1:19:40Speaker 11: and then I texted you on the third one, so
- 1:19:44Speaker 11: that if anyone heard, they would think that there might
- 1:19:46Speaker 11: be a red herring in the third question.
- 1:19:50Speaker 5: I thought, oh my god.
- 1:19:53Speaker 11: I was like, I was like, Okay, if anyone can
- 1:19:56Speaker 11: hear the phone buzzing, then they will know that I
- 1:20:00Speaker 11: texted something.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: Well, that's awesome. Anywhou Ladra has successfully one as the
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: black and that means for the rest of you, it's
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: punishment time. I mean, you have to plug yourself and
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: your stuff and you're and what you want people to
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: follow and stuff like that. So we will continue going
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: in the same order we have been. Maddie, where can
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: people find you in the cool things that you're doing?
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: Although you're you're you're going you're working on your masters,
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: so you're you're pretty much going to be stuck into
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: that correct. Yes, Yeah, that's.
- 1:20:38Speaker 10: Where I'm about to start graduate school in like two weeks.
- 1:20:42Speaker 10: I'm going to.
- 1:20:44Speaker 8: Physician assistant school, so that's exciting.
- 1:20:47Speaker 10: I'll be very busy. If you would like to follow
- 1:20:50Speaker 10: me on social media. I'm on Instagram at Mattie Sarlow.
- 1:20:53Speaker 10: I don't post very often, but I am on there
- 1:20:58Speaker 10: and you can also find me in the Ultra Hope Girls,
- 1:21:01Speaker 10: a Dog and rumpa podcast, as a co host on
- 1:21:03Speaker 10: that show, and an occasional but not regularly appearing co
- 1:21:09Speaker 10: host on The New and improved Ultra Hope Girls, a
- 1:21:12Speaker 10: gaming podcast where we're talking about Raincode right now. I
- 1:21:17Speaker 10: am in a few episodes of that, but not every
- 1:21:19Speaker 10: single one.
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and I highly recommend it. It's just been an
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: absolute joy. And Caroline, where can people find you? And
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: the incredibly cool things that you're doing, such as they
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: in the audiobook which is hopefully coming out sometime soon,
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: so I.
- 1:21:41Speaker 8: Cannot wait for that to come out.
- 1:21:43Speaker 6: Hello, everybody, I'm Caroline, and when I'm not betraying my
- 1:21:46Speaker 6: best friend since I was twelve on an angus whim,
- 1:21:52Speaker 6: you know, you know it's.
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: So funny to me. Do you remember when when Stevie
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: and I came up to Philadelphia and we played my
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: game card game and Maddie got chosen as the killer
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: then too, and she was completely innocent. I'm like, why
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: is this a running theme?
- 1:22:11Speaker 14: Doing?
- 1:22:13Speaker 10: Because I'm anxious, Like I'm anxious about people thinking that
- 1:22:17Speaker 10: I'm lying, and so that makes me act like I'm lying.
- 1:22:19Speaker 8: Well, okay, so let me tell you my thought process.
- 1:22:22Speaker 6: Actually, Maddie, it is because you went first and you
- 1:22:24Speaker 6: established like an alliance in your statement.
- 1:22:27Speaker 8: You were like, Caroline, I know her well, and she
