Over 554,000 Kobalt yard power tools are being recalled due to dangerous USB-C lithium-ion batteries that can short-circuit and ignite while charging inside the tool. Sold at Lowe’s between January and May 2026, affected models include trimmers, blowers, lawn mowers, chainsaws, and pruning saws. Greenworks Tools, the importer, has received 34 reports of smoke, sparks, or fires — no injuries or damage yet — but urges immediate action.
