- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast. Today we
- 0:09Speaker 2: have someone very scary, someone so easily. No, I'm being kidding.
- 0:14Speaker 2: I'm being kidding. I sound like my toddler. Now I'm
- 0:18Speaker 2: being kidding. No, it is joking. She was a Bachelor
- 0:23Speaker 2: villain and now she's on House of Villains on e
- 0:28Speaker 2: It is Victoria Larsen from Matt James' season.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Victoria, welcome to Almost Famous podcast.
- 0:35Speaker 4: Thank you, no, thank you for having me on.
- 0:38Speaker 5: Actually, my favorite episode of the Bachelor was the one
- 0:41Speaker 5: when you.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Guest toasted.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Of the season.
- 0:45Speaker 5: Yeah, because that was such like a turning point in
- 0:48Speaker 5: the house. I think all the girls were having so
- 0:50Speaker 5: much fun that episode. And yeah, I loved that one.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I found you to be very intimidating.
- 0:58Speaker 4: I'm so sorry. I'm strong energy. I have a scorpio rising.
- 1:03Speaker 2: I remember scorpio rising. My husband's a scorpios, so I
- 1:06Speaker 2: understand all about the scorpio energy.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Yeah, but I have.
- 1:09Speaker 5: A cancer moon. So I'm actually really emotional. But I'm
- 1:12Speaker 5: very intimidating. Sorry about that.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Well, you were intimidating to a lot of the girls,
- 1:17Speaker 2: probably why you became the villain. It's just because why
- 1:21Speaker 2: do you why do you think that you were intimidating
- 1:22Speaker 2: on the show? Besides you You're signed.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Definitely, I was intimidating.
- 1:26Speaker 5: I wanted to stand out and it was so hard
- 1:28Speaker 5: at first being the villain, but I'm grateful it led
- 1:32Speaker 5: me to something else. But yeah, I could definitely. I
- 1:37Speaker 5: I walk in a room and people know I'm there
- 1:39Speaker 5: for sure.
- 1:40Speaker 3: The little little secret. I also hosted a date that
- 1:44Speaker 3: season that Victoria's on.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Oh yeah you did.
- 1:47Speaker 5: Yeah, we had like a squirrel hunt or something weird.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it was like an optical course.
- 1:54Speaker 2: That was a fun day too, Ben, your squirrel hunt
- 1:57Speaker 2: wasn't as memorable as writing a we wrote erotica.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I take no so far in this conversation.
- 2:06Speaker 3: I know nothing about scorpios or anything like that. And
- 2:10Speaker 3: I just heard that Ashley was Victoria's favorite guest host,
- 2:14Speaker 3: and so I'm coming in from a different angle Victoria.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Obviously we're going to talk about this new show that
- 2:20Speaker 3: you're on. It is an opportunity that you were granted
- 2:25Speaker 3: because of how you were known from the Bachelor. However,
- 2:30Speaker 3: is there has there ever been a moment where you
- 2:34Speaker 3: didn't want to be the villain. I mean the villain
- 2:37Speaker 3: obviously now is something that has benefited you. I guess
- 2:41Speaker 3: you could say, but has there been a moment where
- 2:43Speaker 3: you're like, I don't want to be this person?
- 2:45Speaker 4: Yeah? Well I have to say first, like, I apologize.
- 2:48Speaker 5: I forgot you were a host because when you're filming
- 2:51Speaker 5: The Bachelor, like you're so focused on one guy. I'm
- 2:53Speaker 5: like Max, the only guy that was there, Like you
- 2:55Speaker 5: forget even any other guys that are around.
- 2:58Speaker 3: And I'm forgettable. It's fine, I get it.
- 3:00Speaker 5: No, no, forget And I remember Ashley because we had
- 3:05Speaker 5: a little piff.
- 3:07Speaker 2: So that I have no idea what it was about.
- 3:10Speaker 5: I think it was a little bit producer driven. Yeah,
- 3:15Speaker 5: so what did Yeah? Did I ever not want to
- 3:17Speaker 5: be the villain? Absolutely? Because part of being a villain
- 3:21Speaker 5: is like you're misunderstood. So I think as a human,
- 3:25Speaker 5: of course you want to be understood and like I
- 3:29Speaker 5: do really have a kind heart. So that was hard
- 3:31Speaker 5: to be perceived in such like a hateful way. And
- 3:34Speaker 5: then it was very hard the online reaction to everything,
- 3:41Speaker 5: which I was thinking, like you guys kind of had
- 3:43Speaker 5: a maybe cooler experience because online was so different when
- 3:46Speaker 5: you guys filmed.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Right, Probably a little less invasive. Yeah, very much, very
- 3:52Speaker 2: much different because we were like I was, respectively the
- 3:56Speaker 2: first female season and the male season right here that
- 4:02Speaker 2: had any sort of big social media gains.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:06Speaker 5: Yeah, And I think, well, I don't know, I just
- 4:08Speaker 5: social media was such a weird time during COVID, which
- 4:11Speaker 5: is when my season was, and I feel like people
- 4:13Speaker 5: had so much extra free time and like everyone was online,
- 4:17Speaker 5: so it was like that was when I was like,
- 4:19Speaker 5: I don't want to be a villain. And also when
- 4:21Speaker 5: it was like, you know, my family watches the show,
- 4:24Speaker 5: like Bachelor's such an integrative part of so many people's
- 4:28Speaker 5: lives that I was like, oh fuck, Like like I
- 4:32Speaker 5: didn't like that it affected people in my life to
- 4:35Speaker 5: be the villain. But me, I'm like, you know, I
- 4:39Speaker 5: have a big mouth. They like speaking my mind. So
- 4:42Speaker 5: that part I also appreciate that I got to know, Okay,
- 4:46Speaker 5: that is who I am, and that's okay, Like even
- 4:49Speaker 5: if people think it's a villain.
- 4:51Speaker 3: It's interesting with the show, and I think listeners are
- 4:53Speaker 3: always intrigued and you can correct me. But if we
- 4:59Speaker 3: were sitting down, I want to you kind of owned
- 5:02Speaker 3: the villain title. I mean, in a sense on the show,
- 5:06Speaker 3: you like you knew that controversy was being caught, like
- 5:11Speaker 3: there was chaos surrounding your relationships, especially with the other women,
- 5:16Speaker 3: and you just said, I'm going to lean in. This
- 5:18Speaker 3: is who I am, like it or not. And I
- 5:20Speaker 3: think a lot of people respect that. But you didn't
- 5:22Speaker 3: want to hurt people. I'm not saying that in this
- 5:24Speaker 3: sense also that so my question to you is, how,
- 5:31Speaker 3: like from a listener standpoint, who watches the show, Like,
- 5:35Speaker 3: how does one in the midst of the chaos and
- 5:37Speaker 3: the controversy while you're on the show, how did you
- 5:41Speaker 3: just take a breath of fresh air and say, I
- 5:42Speaker 3: don't want to hurt people, but this is who I
- 5:44Speaker 3: am and I probably am going to be the villain
- 5:47Speaker 3: of this season, and I'm going to be okay with that.
- 5:50Speaker 5: Well, during filming and like, I really didn't think I
- 5:53Speaker 5: was going to be the villain. I thought it was
- 5:55Speaker 5: going to be Katie. Like I thought I was just
- 5:57Speaker 5: having a good time. I hated that they used that
- 6:01Speaker 5: the public use the word bullying because there really was
- 6:04Speaker 5: not bullying going on. And like I said, I think
- 6:06Speaker 5: it was just COVID things got blown out of proportion,
- 6:09Speaker 5: like a lot of like cancel culture vibes. But no,
- 6:13Speaker 5: I think I was just having fun and it was
- 6:17Speaker 5: the wrong show for that, Like House of Villains is
- 6:19Speaker 5: much better suited to my methods of fun.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Perhaps that's funny. So you have a relationship with Teresa
- 6:28Speaker 2: Juduys on the show, and that was unexpected for many fans. Also,
- 6:33Speaker 2: I guess I don't keep up enough with Jersey Housewives.
- 6:35Speaker 2: But I never really thought of Teresa as a villain.
- 6:38Speaker 2: But what was it because she flipped the table? Okay,
- 6:42Speaker 2: that just that moment, that epic helming a jail, yeah,
- 6:47Speaker 2: the crime and the family, yes, So what was it
- 6:50Speaker 2: about you guys that just clicked?
- 6:52Speaker 4: Teresa and I really bonded.
- 6:54Speaker 5: I lost my mom when I was younger, so I
- 6:57Speaker 5: love the relationship that she has with her daughters and like,
- 6:59Speaker 5: I can't wait to be a mom, and so I
- 7:02Speaker 5: told her that and then we just like instantly vibed
- 7:04Speaker 5: and had like a good friendship because I think that
- 7:08Speaker 5: was like an intimate moment we got to communicate about.
- 7:11Speaker 2: And then did you guys, your friendship was lost somewhere
- 7:15Speaker 2: along the long the way.
- 7:17Speaker 5: You know, yes, a real, actual bully came into the
- 7:21Speaker 5: house and tore our relationship apart. But no, we're friends still,
- 7:27Speaker 5: but we don't see eye to eye on certain situations
- 7:30Speaker 5: that happened. I think we could still have a friend
- 7:34Speaker 5: like that.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Sure, yeah, I mean that's most of my friendships all
- 7:39Speaker 3: the time. But we we come to some compromise. The
- 7:43Speaker 3: thing with that intrigues me. I think that I'm most
- 7:45Speaker 3: interested in about the House of Villains. Obviously, I love
- 7:49Speaker 3: Joel McHale. I've done a show with him. He is
- 7:52Speaker 3: fantastic and such a a good energy on set and
- 7:58Speaker 3: also just a good a really talented host. So the
- 8:02Speaker 3: show intrigues me in that way. But the thing I'm
- 8:04Speaker 3: most interested in is is going back a little bit
- 8:07Speaker 3: to the ownership of this the villain title. As long
- 8:11Speaker 3: as as you said you didn't want to bully anybody,
- 8:13Speaker 3: you didn't want to hurt anybody. But the villain title
- 8:15Speaker 3: is it's kind of hard to define when it comes
- 8:19Speaker 3: from reality television because I don't really know what that means.
- 8:21Speaker 3: It just means maybe you were the most controversial character,
- 8:25Speaker 3: Maybe you're the most polarizing character. Maybe you spoke of
- 8:28Speaker 3: the most I don't exactly understand what a villain title
- 8:31Speaker 3: means but you but everybody that goes on the show
- 8:33Speaker 3: owns it because it's called the House of Villains. And
- 8:36Speaker 3: so when you walk into this set and you start
- 8:39Speaker 3: to live in this house with all these people who
- 8:41Speaker 3: have owned the villain title by going on this show,
- 8:46Speaker 3: what kind of how do you prep for it? I think?
- 8:49Speaker 3: And how do you mentally get to a place where
- 8:54Speaker 3: you're like I can walk into this confidently and do you?
- 8:56Speaker 3: And my final point to this is do you feel
- 8:58Speaker 3: like you have to own this title more because you're
- 9:00Speaker 3: on the show, Like I have to be more of
- 9:01Speaker 3: a villain than I've ever been before.
- 9:04Speaker 5: Okay, so well, Paul, the producers called me and they
- 9:09Speaker 5: were like, I'm like, no, I don't want to do
- 9:11Speaker 5: the villain thing. And they were like, well, you can
- 9:13Speaker 5: show that you're not a villain, you know, like you
- 9:15Speaker 5: don't have to be a villain.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Did you believe them?
- 9:17Speaker 4: Yes, because I'm a dumb ass.
- 9:21Speaker 2: You actually you had a full ride scholarship to college.
- 9:26Speaker 2: We're gonna have to talk about that after this.
- 9:27Speaker 5: Well, I'm academic, but I don't have common sense, Like
- 9:31Speaker 5: that part's still coming Okay, that's hilarious, but so yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 5: so okay, so that part and then my first night
- 9:39Speaker 5: I was crying, like even Ashley, I think you could
- 9:42Speaker 5: be a villain because you on for sure, what was
- 9:46Speaker 5: it the Parrot I show, Like you're crying all the time.
- 9:49Speaker 4: It's like, you just take up this show whatever it is,
- 9:52Speaker 4: so you're a villain.
- 9:53Speaker 5: But yeah, so I was crying the first night and
- 9:56Speaker 5: producers were like, I'm like, I want to leave, Like
- 9:59Speaker 5: I want to leave this.
- 10:00Speaker 4: I don't want to do the show. I don't care.
- 10:02Speaker 5: And they were like we told you, like coming in,
- 10:04Speaker 5: there's going to be loud personalities, a lot to handle,
- 10:06Speaker 5: like can you do it? And like they just kind
- 10:09Speaker 5: of walk me through it. And then I'm like, Okay,
- 10:10Speaker 5: I'm going to sit back and like not do anything
- 10:12Speaker 5: because I watched season one and that's how Anfisa made
- 10:15Speaker 5: it to the end, like she didn't have any drama
- 10:17Speaker 5: or talk. And then the producer was like, well, why
- 10:20Speaker 5: would you come onto a TV show just to sit back,
- 10:22Speaker 5: like do something. And I'll also say when I left,
- 10:26Speaker 5: not that I feel I need to embrace the title
- 10:28Speaker 5: of villain more in my everyday life obviously, but I
- 10:32Speaker 5: was like, dang, I wish I did more on that show,
- 10:34Speaker 5: because what else do you have the opportunity to act
- 10:36Speaker 5: completely unhinged and it's acceptable, Like, yeah, I want to
- 10:40Speaker 5: do more villain is it's so fun?
- 10:44Speaker 2: I am obsessed with the honesty. Yeah, yeah, it.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Makes and it helps it make sense. I think the
- 10:49Speaker 3: honesty brings us all into this to help get perspective
- 10:53Speaker 3: and too exactly what was going on your mind, because
- 10:55Speaker 3: I do think there is a way in which owning
- 10:58Speaker 3: this villain title could hurt. Almost like if I went
- 11:02Speaker 3: up to you on the street and I'm like, you're
- 11:03Speaker 3: a villain in my life, like that would that would
- 11:07Speaker 3: be really offensive? I would feel that. Yeah, But owning
- 11:11Speaker 3: the title and being like I'm gonna be in a
- 11:12Speaker 3: house for these people, I can be an unhinged, I
- 11:15Speaker 3: can do this crazy stuff and everybody else is doing
- 11:18Speaker 3: crazy stuff too. I think it helps us make more
- 11:21Speaker 3: sense of how in the world do you say yes
- 11:22Speaker 3: to it?
- 11:23Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 11:23Speaker 5: And I think too, there's like a form of detachment
- 11:26Speaker 5: as well, because I was the Queen persona like obviously
- 11:29Speaker 5: in my everyday life, I'm not like guys of Queen Victoria,
- 11:32Speaker 5: Like that'd be ridiculous. So there's the element of like
- 11:35Speaker 5: the persona and then like detachment from me.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Yeah, you're like, you know how the expression is I
- 11:42Speaker 2: play if a doctor on TV or like something like that.
- 11:44Speaker 2: It's like I'm not a doctor, but I play a
- 11:46Speaker 2: doctor on TV. It's like you're not a villain, but
- 11:48Speaker 2: you play a villain on TV.
- 11:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:51Speaker 5: But I will say like there's elements of my personality
- 11:55Speaker 5: of course, like when I'm crying all the time, Like
- 11:58Speaker 5: that's actually me.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Do you think that crying is a villainous quality? Though?
- 12:02Speaker 2: I would say that maybe drama and drama is associated
- 12:06Speaker 2: with tears.
- 12:06Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, no, crying, like that's a human right, You're
- 12:09Speaker 5: allowed to die, but they make it a thing.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Karine was the bachelor condescen on the first season of
- 12:27Speaker 2: House of Villains. You said you watched it. Did you
- 12:29Speaker 2: reach out to her and get advice?
- 12:31Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, Karina is so amazing.
- 12:33Speaker 5: I reached out to her through friends before I went on,
- 12:36Speaker 5: and she was like, do it, You'll have so much fun.
- 12:38Speaker 5: And then I connected with her after filming and she's
- 12:41Speaker 5: hilarious in person, like she's she's so tiny in real
- 12:44Speaker 5: life and she just say is like so fun.
- 12:48Speaker 3: The uh, I mean this was obviously what the second?
- 12:51Speaker 3: I think this is the second season of House of Villains,
- 12:53Speaker 3: right before we kind of go back to your life
- 12:58Speaker 3: outside of television, because I know you have a very
- 13:00Speaker 3: successful business that you started, and also Ashley's kind of
- 13:04Speaker 3: foreshadowed that you got a full ride academic scholarship, and
- 13:07Speaker 3: we're talking about your academic pursuits. Why would fans that
- 13:12Speaker 3: maybe haven't tuned in, why would they want to watch this?
- 13:16Speaker 3: What would if you could convince them in a few
- 13:19Speaker 3: sentences why they should tune in the House of Villains?
- 13:22Speaker 3: What would you say?
- 13:23Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, well you already said Joel McHale's the host,
- 13:26Speaker 5: so that just is a no brainer. And I think
- 13:30Speaker 5: I enjoy watching it, and I enjoyed season one because
- 13:32Speaker 5: it's a light show, like it's a comedy show, and
- 13:36Speaker 5: that's the type of TV I like to watch. Sometimes
- 13:38Speaker 5: too much drama, I'm you know, I don't feel good
- 13:41Speaker 5: watching that type of show. And although it's villains and
- 13:45Speaker 5: we have drama, it's all really lighthearted. We all make
- 13:48Speaker 5: fun of ourselves, and I think everyone should tune in.
- 13:52Speaker 4: It's fun.
- 13:53Speaker 2: My last question about the shows is there was a
- 13:56Speaker 2: two hundred dollars reward at the end to be title America.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Make this even more interest than you say, to.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Two hundred thousand to get the title of America's Ultimate supervillain.
- 14:13Speaker 2: How much is the money on your mind when you're
- 14:16Speaker 2: in the house, and how much is just like kind
- 14:19Speaker 2: of creating a character for yourself.
- 14:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I definitely wanted to win, so at first,
- 14:26Speaker 5: I'm just like, Okay, I don't want to be the
- 14:28Speaker 5: first gone.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Yeah, just like the Bachelor, Yeah, not the first row ceremony.
- 14:33Speaker 5: Yeah, So kind of just trying to like make it through,
- 14:36Speaker 5: and then you don't realize the prize because you're just like, honestly,
- 14:40Speaker 5: when you're filming, there's so many surprises in this that
- 14:43Speaker 5: it's like a mind because you can't even think about
- 14:46Speaker 5: anything because you're constantly so distracted as well as you
- 14:51Speaker 5: guys know from filming like lack of sleep and all
- 14:53Speaker 5: the other fun stuff. So you kind of I didn't
- 14:56Speaker 5: think about the prize until right before where I was eliminated,
- 15:01Speaker 5: and then I'm like, oh, yeah.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I understand that, because like that's how they talk
- 15:07Speaker 2: about on The Bachelor. You know, you're there for the
- 15:09Speaker 2: wrong reasons. I'm always like, no, like, when you're in
- 15:12Speaker 2: the bubble, you are one hundred percent there for the
- 15:15Speaker 2: right reasons. You ironic after I say, you know, don't
- 15:20Speaker 2: don't eliminate me on the first road ceremony. Yeah, but
- 15:24Speaker 2: you know what I mean. It's just like you are
- 15:26Speaker 2: so into that person that like, all you really care
- 15:28Speaker 2: about is being with that person, and you don't care
- 15:30Speaker 2: about any of the other additional benefits. Really was I
- 15:35Speaker 2: never thought about that while filming.
- 15:37Speaker 3: I fell asleep some nights as a contestant, being like,
- 15:40Speaker 3: I hope I don't go home tomorrow. That's embarrassing.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Well, yeah, of embarrassingment. But I'm like saying, as far
- 15:46Speaker 2: as like fame and money goes.
- 15:48Speaker 5: No, I don't think it's fame and money, but I
- 15:50Speaker 5: think there's some ego involved because even.
- 15:52Speaker 4: When I'm coming yeah, so much stuff.
- 15:55Speaker 5: I did, producers would be like, if you whatever, you know,
- 16:00Speaker 5: give me some inspiration, I'll give you ten extra minutes
- 16:03Speaker 5: with Matt. Because people would ask me like, well, what
- 16:05Speaker 5: did producers like what was the incentive?
- 16:08Speaker 4: And I'm like time with Matt.
- 16:10Speaker 5: Like, so, because you're in the bubble, you're like that
- 16:12Speaker 5: it's the greatest reward, like you're not thinking about anything
- 16:16Speaker 5: outside of it.
- 16:18Speaker 4: I'm the same with was for filming this show.
- 16:23Speaker 5: So yeah, and I do think also speaking about ego,
- 16:27Speaker 5: once my ego got super wrapped up because I was like,
- 16:30Speaker 5: I want to beat Larsa, like that was my whole
- 16:32Speaker 5: thing on how civilians Like. Once my head got wrapped
- 16:34Speaker 5: that way is when I went home. And I do
- 16:37Speaker 5: think like, once your ego gets too involved in life
- 16:40Speaker 5: and filming the universe, will you know, bring you back
- 16:43Speaker 5: down to reality.
- 16:44Speaker 4: So I think that was my own demise.
- 16:48Speaker 3: It's funny to hear you say that they would dangle
- 16:52Speaker 3: the carrot of more time with Matt in front of you.
- 16:54Speaker 3: I've never thought about this.
- 16:56Speaker 2: I've also never was never offered that as an exchange for.
- 17:00Speaker 3: No, it was offered, but I've never thought about this
- 17:05Speaker 3: until this moment. But when I was the bachelor, they
- 17:08Speaker 3: would dangle the cared of we'll let you go to
- 17:10Speaker 3: bed an hour earlier. Yours was more time. Mine was
- 17:15Speaker 3: I just want to be alone in a hotel room.
- 17:18Speaker 2: They appeal to his introverted senses.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Yeah that's fun.
- 17:22Speaker 5: Yeah, but no, the extra time with Matt, and then
- 17:24Speaker 5: they would give me little moments and they'd be like, see.
- 17:28Speaker 4: We we got you. So I'd be like, okay, I'll
- 17:31Speaker 4: keep doing what I say.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Yeah, they keep their word true. Well, Victoria, to kind
- 17:36Speaker 3: of transition here into not away from House of Villains,
- 17:40Speaker 3: because that is such an incredible project that is obviously
- 17:43Speaker 3: going to be one that we want people to tune
- 17:44Speaker 3: into and to watch you on, but to transition to
- 17:48Speaker 3: you personally, I want to ask you this question, and
- 17:50Speaker 3: this is a transition to you personally. We spoke a
- 17:54Speaker 3: lot about you being a villain, we spoke a lot
- 17:57Speaker 3: about now you being going on House of Villain. But
- 18:01Speaker 3: if somebody was sitting down with you at dinner, a
- 18:06Speaker 3: friend or maybe a romantic interest, and they said, who
- 18:10Speaker 3: are you, Victoria? How do you want me to know
- 18:12Speaker 3: you just from a few words that you could share,
- 18:15Speaker 3: How do you actually want people to know you?
- 18:17Speaker 5: Tough question, because I'm going through a transition right now,
- 18:20Speaker 5: so I guess I would say, you know, I'm always
- 18:23Speaker 5: learning and growing and trying to evolve and just taking
- 18:27Speaker 5: like one day at a time. And my interests are
- 18:32Speaker 5: I love to travel, I love to read, I love animals,
- 18:36Speaker 5: and yeah, like I don't know what else I don't know,
- 18:41Speaker 5: just I like to have a good time, stay busy.
- 18:46Speaker 3: What you said a transition, Can you explain a little
- 18:49Speaker 3: more about that.
- 18:50Speaker 5: Well, right now, I'm in a transition, I think because
- 18:52Speaker 5: of the New Year's coming, and I was living in
- 18:55Speaker 5: Florida for a while. I was, you know, doing real
- 18:59Speaker 5: estate there, and I'm transitioning back into uh, flight attendant
- 19:03Speaker 5: on private jets, which actually I remember when I was
- 19:07Speaker 5: on The Bachelor, they had a whole thing of like
- 19:09Speaker 5: she's leaving her luxury lifestyle behind. I'm like, okay, I
- 19:12Speaker 5: was working in that lifestyle.
- 19:14Speaker 4: Like it's not like I had.
- 19:15Speaker 5: This grandio lifestyle. But I'm getting back to it and
- 19:18Speaker 5: I'm really excited. So yeah, I'm transitioning.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Single. So I the past year I kind of spent
- 19:28Speaker 4: like chasing guys because I want to have a family
- 19:30Speaker 4: and a baby and stuff.
- 19:31Speaker 5: But then now I'm transitioning into like focusing on work
- 19:34Speaker 5: and just you know, letting things come when they may.
- 19:38Speaker 4: So how old are you know, I'm almost thirty two. Crazy,
- 19:43Speaker 4: You've got time.
- 19:44Speaker 3: You got time, thank you by a few years. So
- 19:47Speaker 3: you're good. Where does Victoria Larson Beauty fit into all
- 19:51Speaker 3: of this?
- 19:52Speaker 4: To be honest, that was a really fun venture.
- 19:55Speaker 5: I haven't kept up with it because it got I
- 19:58Speaker 5: mean I had great perfume lines, beauty products, and yeah,
- 20:03Speaker 5: that's not really a focus right now.
- 20:06Speaker 4: It was a good run.
- 20:17Speaker 2: A year or so after you're on The Bachelor, I
- 20:20Speaker 2: I want to even say, like before your stin Paradise,
- 20:25Speaker 2: lots of people were talking about like your Instagram makeover
- 20:29Speaker 2: and would you care to share, like what went into that?
- 20:34Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 20:34Speaker 5: I mean do you mean like botox and stuff or yeah, yeah,
- 20:39Speaker 5: I mean I did Boatoks fill her all the things.
- 20:44Speaker 5: Lymphatic massages like three times a week before Paradise.
- 20:47Speaker 2: It is so into lymphatic massages.
- 20:49Speaker 5: They're so amazing because yeah, we have so many toxins
- 20:52Speaker 5: in our body. And also not to justify my behavior,
- 20:56Speaker 5: but like I was eating shit food while filming and
- 20:59Speaker 5: I really do feel like that affects your brain. So
- 21:01Speaker 5: now I like eat very healthy and it just helps
- 21:04Speaker 5: my energy and everything.
- 21:06Speaker 4: So yeah, so many things. What else did I do? Now?
- 21:09Speaker 5: You know?
- 21:09Speaker 4: I like ems, the workout thing pilates. Yeah, so many things.
- 21:18Speaker 3: So there's been a change in you to get healthier
- 21:21Speaker 3: in all ways. I mean this has been and is
- 21:24Speaker 3: that was that kind of started because of what you
- 21:29Speaker 3: saw on these shows, or started because you just weren't
- 21:32Speaker 3: feeling good personally and you're kind of feeling like you
- 21:35Speaker 3: didn't have a lot of energy, and yeah, like how
- 21:39Speaker 3: did this all start?
- 21:40Speaker 5: Like I think we're so lucky that we get to
- 21:42Speaker 5: film these shows. And it's like, you know, the basketball
- 21:44Speaker 5: players who watched back their game and see what moves
- 21:47Speaker 5: they did, Like, we get to watch and as much
- 21:49Speaker 5: as there is a persona that was enhanced, you know,
- 21:54Speaker 5: I could see which parts were me and which parts
- 21:56Speaker 5: did I want to tweak and evolve on and improve.
- 22:00Speaker 4: So I loved that part of filming.
- 22:01Speaker 5: And yeah, I always was healthy, but I went through
- 22:04Speaker 5: different fads. So like when I was heavier on The Bachelor,
- 22:08Speaker 5: it's because a few years prior, I had been addicted
- 22:11Speaker 5: to adderall and so for me, getting off of adderall
- 22:15Speaker 5: was like a good step, even though I gained some weight.
- 22:17Speaker 5: So that's kind of what I mean by just like
- 22:19Speaker 5: always transitioning and evolving. It's just there's life and there's
- 22:22Speaker 5: a flow and chapters and our favorite word on The Bachelor,
- 22:26Speaker 5: the journey.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Yeah, well I think it's beautiful though when you take
- 22:32Speaker 3: ownership for it too. You know a lot of people
- 22:34Speaker 3: would sit back and see these things and say, you
- 22:38Speaker 3: know what, there's nothing I can do about it. But
- 22:41Speaker 3: for you, you kind of put a stake in the ground
- 22:42Speaker 3: and you said, I'm gonna get healthier in all these ways. Yeah,
- 22:45Speaker 3: I think that's an incredible thing and a trait and
- 22:48Speaker 3: one that you know a lot of people could learn from.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Yeah, we appreciate it.
- 22:54Speaker 4: Yeah, of course.
- 22:55Speaker 5: Then I'm grateful to come on and yeah, I think
- 22:57Speaker 5: self awareness is so great.
- 22:58Speaker 4: And then just like changing one thing at a time,
- 23:02Speaker 4: like what's the next best thing you can change? You know?
- 23:04Speaker 4: And yeah, everything it's like brick by brick, you lay
- 23:08Speaker 4: it down.
- 23:09Speaker 2: So a couple of fun questions for you as you
- 23:12Speaker 2: are kind of a luxury you're going back into being
- 23:15Speaker 2: a luxury jet flight attendant.
- 23:19Speaker 3: What a what a name you just put behind that
- 23:22Speaker 3: luxury jet flight attendant? I think it's a private I
- 23:25Speaker 3: think it's a private jet and a luxury flight attendant
- 23:28Speaker 3: or but I like how you name that it is.
- 23:30Speaker 3: It's all luxury.
- 23:32Speaker 2: So any run ins with celebrities up there and there?
- 23:37Speaker 5: Yeah, Actually, yesterday on my commercial flight, I had a celebrity.
- 23:40Speaker 4: His name was like Amyron or something. He was so nice.
- 23:44Speaker 5: But yeah, celebrities all the time. But I mean, you
- 23:47Speaker 5: guys are celebrities. Thanks for connecting with me.
- 23:50Speaker 3: I've just never been in a private jet, so someday
- 23:52Speaker 3: I love to see. Now, I'd love to see one
- 23:56Speaker 3: big life, guys.
- 23:58Speaker 2: I was on a private jet. It was a scary
- 24:00Speaker 2: thing in my life. I guess it wasn't a private jet.
- 24:02Speaker 2: It was a prop plane through the literal desert of Australia.
- 24:10Speaker 2: This is when I went to go tape stars on
- 24:12Speaker 2: Mars and I was with Paul Pierce and a couple
- 24:16Speaker 2: other celebrities and it was the four of us. The
- 24:21Speaker 2: pilot was I guess, he's like probably in his forties,
- 24:24Speaker 2: And I go, are you the pilot and he goes, nope,
- 24:28Speaker 2: and he was just he was loading our luggage onto
- 24:31Speaker 2: the plane, the four Theedar plane, four passenger theater plane.
- 24:36Speaker 2: And I'm already nervous, and now the pilot is joking
- 24:40Speaker 2: with me that he's not the pilot. He's literally putting
- 24:43Speaker 2: our luggage on the plane. And then he goes in
- 24:47Speaker 2: the cockpit and I realized there's no co pilot. If
- 24:50Speaker 2: this guy, has anything happened to him physically? We are
- 24:53Speaker 2: down fine, Oh my god, I'm mostly walking two hours ever,
- 25:03Speaker 2: and you're looking down and there's just emptiness. I didn't
- 25:09Speaker 2: see a house for I think a solid hour and
- 25:12Speaker 2: a half.
- 25:13Speaker 3: This is good for you. It humbles you, actually, Victoria.
- 25:17Speaker 3: As we close up here, obviously we're talking about House
- 25:20Speaker 3: of Villains. We've talked about your time in The Bachelor,
- 25:22Speaker 3: we talked about kind of this transition into going back
- 25:25Speaker 3: into the career of being a private jet flight attendant.
- 25:29Speaker 3: If people out there are listening and they want to
- 25:32Speaker 3: know what you're going to be up to next, where
- 25:34Speaker 3: they can maybe watch you next outside a House of Villains,
- 25:37Speaker 3: even though we want them to watch you there. What
- 25:39Speaker 3: do you see in your future? What can fans and
- 25:42Speaker 3: listeners get excited about.
- 25:45Speaker 4: I really want to do a show with New York.
- 25:47Speaker 4: I loved her. I know she's really busy for the next.
- 25:51Speaker 5: Bit of time, but I want to film something with
- 25:53Speaker 5: New York to trying to manifest that, and then I
- 25:56Speaker 5: really want to do Traders. That show looks good, I
- 26:01Speaker 5: mean it is good, like that looks like it'd be
- 26:04Speaker 5: fun to be on and maybe dancing with the stars,
- 26:07Speaker 5: you know, anything that comes my way Sunday.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Okay, So Bachelor and Paradise they're rebooting. I thought after
- 26:16Speaker 2: a season off and I.
- 26:17Speaker 4: Was like, should I do Bachelor in Paradise?
- 26:19Speaker 5: I mean, I am single, I just don't I haven't
- 26:21Speaker 5: kept up with the show, so I'm like, I don't know.
- 26:24Speaker 5: I didn't like my last Paradise experience, but I could
- 26:28Speaker 5: be open. Yeah, I'm still looking for love.
- 26:31Speaker 4: Cool.
- 26:32Speaker 3: I think the Paradise is going to be new production team,
- 26:38Speaker 3: new location, new vibe.
- 26:40Speaker 5: Then yes, then yeah, because I hated hated filming in
- 26:44Speaker 5: Mexico was so freaking hot. But yeah, it seems like,
- 26:47Speaker 5: you know, I've met some more people through the franchise
- 26:49Speaker 5: and everyone was so nice, so I'm like, maybe I
- 26:52Speaker 5: needed to work on myself to find my true partner.
- 26:56Speaker 3: There you go, There you go, Victorias. It's great to
- 26:58Speaker 3: have you here. We're excited this venture where can people
- 27:01Speaker 3: tune into How Civilians?
- 27:04Speaker 4: How Civilians is on the new episode every Thursday.
- 27:07Speaker 2: And then it's on Peacock just to stream and to binge.
- 27:12Speaker 5: Yeah, and thank you guys so much for having me on,
- 27:14Speaker 5: because when I was thinking about coming on, I'm like
- 27:16Speaker 5: I love that I am still part of the Bachelor
- 27:18Speaker 5: franchise and not like completely removed removed.
- 27:22Speaker 3: You can come on anytime. You're not removed by any means.
- 27:25Speaker 3: That's not even uh, that's that's not even close to
- 27:28Speaker 3: where you're at. And we're excited to continue to watch you,
- 27:31Speaker 3: and we hope there is many more opportunities along the
- 27:34Speaker 3: way that you're saying. Yes, Paradise might be the easiest
- 27:37Speaker 3: one that we could pull. I'm sure somebody that's working
- 27:39Speaker 3: on that shows listening to this. And so if if
- 27:43Speaker 3: you have an interest in helping Victoria find her forever
- 27:46Speaker 3: partner Bachelor work.
- 27:48Speaker 4: Call me, call her.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Yeah again, Victoria, if you start watching the show again
- 27:52Speaker 2: and you have like some shit to talk with us
- 27:55Speaker 2: and you want to recap an episode, come on over.
- 27:58Speaker 4: Yes you know I will keep it real.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Yes, this has been an episode of the almost famous
- 28:07Speaker 3: podcast with one of the most iconic villains in Bachelor history,
- 28:12Speaker 3: Victoria Larson. You can tune in, as she said, two
- 28:14Speaker 3: Houses of Villains every Thursday night on e for the
- 28:18Speaker 3: upcoming few weeks, or you can stream on Peacock until
- 28:21Speaker 3: next time. I've been Ben I've been Ashley
