- 0:00someone is mowing my front lawn and it is driving me crazy because you're
- 0:04emasculated by the fact that someone else is mowing your lawn wait is that
- 0:10euphemism welcome to multiple
- 0:13nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple
- 0:20nerdgasm your guide to All Things
- 0:27nerdy it's not usually is it your wife no who is it I don't know and that's
- 0:33what the part that show oh wait is this one of those situations where you let it
- 0:37go for so long that someone was like I'm [ __ ] sick of this I saw no I am
- 0:41mowing that [ __ ] lawn I I I mowed my long quite a lot I
- 0:47was trying to look after it it still sounds like we're talking about his dick go
- 0:52on had to stop but someone's just well I
- 0:57didn't like grow get too long that I'm going to go mow it is they've kept
- 1:02mowing it to keep it at that normal but I don't know who it is or when they're
- 1:05doing it oh so you think it's somebody who knew that you had surgery perhaps
- 1:09and is doing a nice thing but you don't know who it is I don't know who it is I
- 1:13can't say thank you is there one house on your street that's like super neat
- 1:17and like that person just wants to live on a neat Street at any cost and will
- 1:23mow any lawn cuz also I put it to you you said you said oh it wasn't that long
- 1:27but I don't know if you're not that long as everybody else's not that long no no
- 1:31I used to mow my lawn like at least once a week yeah at least once a week okay I
- 1:37mean that's pretty ambitious for for a lawn Matt when was the last time you
- 1:40mowed your lawn well it's winter so you don't mow your lawn in winter here cuz
- 1:43it doesn't grow oh but it's one of the best things about living here is that
- 1:48the does not grow and probably next month I'll have to start again I even
- 1:52went out and brought like an edge of things cuz they start to look after the
- 1:55edges better and I was looking after my lawn well it's not really a lawn it's
- 2:00more that Medium strip at the front of the house the landing strip okay so it's
- 2:04not your property so it might be the council that's mowing it well no it's
- 2:08one of those stupid things it's not your property but the council does nothing to
- 2:13look after it and you have to look after it I find it funny where the council
- 2:17draw their lines literally because there's a lot of council property around
- 2:21my place a lot of parks and things and they're obviously all done by separate
- 2:24councils or separate divisions within the one Council because they will just
- 2:28mow to a certain arbitrary point and stop and then several weeks later
- 2:33somebody else will mow the rest of it yep like that's not my problem welcome
- 2:37to multiple grass gather yeah so is somebody mowing all of your lawn or just
- 2:42the just the council strip we've only got the medium Shir at the front like we
- 2:46don't actually have a front yard imagine that that' be frustrating or you don't
- 2:51have a lawn you will need a mower though cuz we're going to need you to mow the
- 2:54council property outside your house that you are not allowed to like erect any
- 3:00structures on or when I move here I've gone hey I'm like I'll give my lawn M to
- 3:06my sister because hey I'm not going to need it because I live in a townhouse
- 3:10I've got shr maybe it's your sister that's been mowing on your lawn then
- 3:13someone else have mow a lawn out the front nope it's still my job our
- 3:18driveway is very long and it's it's kind of woods and so the power lines come up
- 3:24kind of parallel to it and then cross at one point and then up to the house but I
- 3:27noticed that the trees were getting a little close to the power lines and I
- 3:30thought I better do something about that so I called a few places and then
- 3:35arranged some quotes and filled in a couple forms on websites to get quotes
- 3:39as well that but nobody ever really came out or anything like that and then one
- 3:43day I came home from work and the trees had been trimmed back and I was like
- 3:48okay I was like that's weird cuz Luke's sister was out there yeah I guess so and
- 3:53so then it honestly it took 6 months to find out who it was because I called the
- 3:57the electricity company they said no we wouldn't do that and they said you need
- 3:59to call call the um the your city your local city council and I so I called
- 4:04them and they said no that's a state road you need to call the state I was
- 4:08like fine so I called the state and they said no we don't do that you need to
- 4:11call the power company and honestly it honestly went for 6 months and in the
- 4:14end it was the power company but wow but I actually I don't know I guess probably
- 4:19it was cuz eventually someone said yes that was us but then why do I believe
- 4:22her over all the other people I spoke to but did they send you a bill cuz I've
- 4:27actually had that happened before when power companies come out and go like
- 4:30look this is getting close you got to cut that yeah and that's that's up to me
- 4:35to cuz they said oh you know it's it's near the road I'm like it's not near the
- 4:38road it's like 100 met from my house to the road through the trees and they
- 4:43they've and and I said and to be honest they made a bit of a [ __ ] mess last
- 4:45time like I'm not it's fine I say and how close to your house did they have to
- 4:50get like right up towards your house no no no cuz so like there's a the woods
- 4:55end and then there's a gap so maybe they just for some reason think the driveway
- 4:59is is a road is a road and not drive maybe Matt calls the road coming up to
- 5:04his house his driveway actually I was going to say there's a point where it gets to uh the
- 5:10end of the driveway and then the power lines actually go underground the rest
- 5:13of the way up to my house maybe that's they just they just think that that's
- 5:18when that's the line that's now your property and your driveway is it your
- 5:23driveway if you come out and you see a couple of electrical guys having a
- 5:27picnic on what you think is your front la yeah that's right apparently I don't
- 5:31own all that land no but cuz they like what's the problem I'm like there's no
- 5:33problem I just want to know who is coming onto my like property and doing
- 5:38this do I have to pay you oh that's the most American thing you've ever said man
- 5:42but there's just on my [ __ ] property but it's just odd right it's like I'm
- 5:46back here I'm like think I'm in privacy but someone's coming and trimming the
- 5:50trees like someone cuts Luke's lawn every [ __ ] week for a month and he's
- 5:55just like I'll mention it on the podcast but I'm not going to do anything to
- 5:58actually try to figure out who it is Matt does investigative journalism for
- 6:03months well what happens if they like [ __ ] something up like I don't know I
- 6:08just I just wanted to know who's doing it I just want to know who's doing it
- 6:11I'm just cuz and that's the thing it is weird that someone just comes along and
- 6:16just does it yeah yeah go for it if I'm not paying for it go ahead but yeah
- 6:22anyway but if you [ __ ] it up I want to know who to play that's right yeah if
- 6:26one of them falls on my car who do I call I just really wanted to say
- 6:30Ghostbusters Just then you can say it go on it's too late now yeah the moment's
- 6:37gone I'll edit it in to make you sound like you said it right on time one of
- 6:42them falls on my car who do I call Ghostbusters so something happened this
- 6:48week that I think everyone's going to expect us to talk about I mean we could
- 6:51be contrary and just not mention it but there's kind of a lot that I want to
- 6:55unpack about it and I actually wouldn't mind hearing your guys' opinions on this
- 6:58so me with it we talk about Will Smith hitting [ __ ] Chris Rock in the face
- 7:04at the Oscars please I'll tell you one thing Chris Rock took it like a champ
- 7:08didn't he oh man there were so many ways he could have taken that and he didn't I
- 7:13know and if you believe all the [ __ ] that's coming out he he took it even
- 7:16better than it seemed like he did because he he didn't he the LAPD
- 7:22apparently was there ready to do something cuz somebody called them and
- 7:26he was like no I'm good and then um if you read seen the article where he went
- 7:31like he when he was younger he did have a bit of an anger issue mhm so there was
- 7:36like he used to get bullied a lot when he was younger who Chris Rock or so
- 7:40Chris Rock oh okay yeah yeah cuz everyone hates Chris so when he was
- 7:44younger used to get bullied a lot and there was one time he got he had enough
- 7:47of it put a brick in his bag got bullied slapped this kid to the ground with bag
- 7:53and was basically curbs like stomping him and then when he sort of and that
- 7:57kid was Will Smith growing older he con to see therapy and he and he's does have
- 8:01an anger problem but not some he's equipped with the skills to deescalate
- 8:06now is what you're saying deescalate cuz he doesn't want to lose control like
- 8:09that Willi like keep my wife's name out of your [ __ ] mouth and he and he just
- 8:14go I'm going to yeah first he it was a g
- 8:19j joke yeah I know I know yeah okay so there's there's a lot there number one
- 8:25that's an interesting story Luke and the only thing that I think I would enjoyed
- 8:29more than watching Chris Rock absolutely restrain himself would have been him
- 8:34take out a school bag with a brick proceed to bash Will Smith with it
- 8:41and make Oscars history yeah literally the Oscars would
- 8:46never be on again well I I think they should cancel the Oscars anyway it's didn't go
- 8:53well the thing I kept thinking of was like well first of all would this have
- 8:57happened if it was Ricky ja I don't know that Ricky jaes would have made that
- 9:00joke because he tends to do a bit apparently Chris Rock did not rehearse
- 9:04that joke he just came out with it it's not unclear whether he knew so for
- 9:07listeners who don't know wil Smith's wife J ping Smith has alipa in she came
- 9:14out last year and the started shaving her head yeah so she shaves her head so
- 9:17because her hair doesn't grow in all all the way all in all spots or something
- 9:22along those lines and it's you know it's a s Point knows nothing about that well
- 9:25I know that it's she has a medical condition and it's a sore point for her
- 9:28she feels very sensitive about it and it's unclear whether Chris Rock knew
- 9:33that and he was just or if he just saw her and made a stupid I don't think he
- 9:37did it looked like he didn't know it looked like he just saw a woman with a
- 9:39shaved head and made a joke she might be in the movie with the other woman with a
- 9:43shaved head and even her reaction when you see her reaction a bit of Ry eyes
- 9:47like E Yeah Yeah cheap shot and it was a cheap shot it was in foraste and if
- 9:52anyone who knew that that was not a a style choice but a medical condition I
- 9:56mean number one my [ __ ] dad told me at age four don't [ __ ] ever make a
- 10:00comment on a woman's appearance hair clothes anything don't ever [ __ ] do
- 10:05it like but I mean these guys are hired to roast people that's what they're
- 10:10there for but as you say Ricky ja always punches up this was probably a a punch
- 10:15down did you ever see that Anna aana video where she said it was like about
- 10:20when um when a woman comes into the room and when she says notice anything
- 10:25different and then what a man is is riddle me this
- 10:30yeah yeah it's so true but that did you
- 10:34see that so evidently will was also
- 10:38asked to leave yes depending asked him to leave and he went no and then went
- 10:44and got his award he said he wanted to apologize apparently and then they asked
- 10:49I mean there's a lot of who knows what's true people said they asked Chris Rock
- 10:54do you want us to make him leave and Chris Rock was like no it's fine I don't
- 10:57want to make it worse no I feel comfortable and safe I don't want to
- 11:01make it worse that's right they're going to investigate and there may be some
- 11:07repercussions for Will Smith and they they may kick him out for a year or
- 11:12something it's so like he's got his award he doesn't give a sh at this
- 11:17point like he's not going to so if he gets kicked out for a year well I won't
- 11:22go make a Oscar yeah type movie I'll just go and cash in and make another
- 11:27movie and he's been making Oscar type movies to try and win ancar for several
- 11:31years now now yeah so he doesn't care I mean it would have been magnificent if
- 11:36they had just came up when it was time to do the best actor and go on this was
- 11:41actually going to be Will Smith but guess what you broke a code of contuct
- 11:45by acting like a complete [ __ ] and so now you're not going to get it m mhm
- 11:49it's pretty wild that he can do that and then they're just
- 11:52like he got a standing ovation yeah when you're rich and famous you can literally
- 11:58do whatever you want now this is just proof of that and the fact that I was
- 12:02going to say like the fact that he thought that was appropriate is one
- 12:05thing but then it was it actually was fine which is even weirder like it was
- 12:10yes yes no that that's that's the worst part about this match you're absolutely
- 12:14right he wasn't wrong he knew it would be okay to literally walk on stage and
- 12:18punch someone and he was right yeah it's [ __ ] weird
- 12:25man punch you in the face yeah my what name out of your [ __ ] mouth Dan no I
- 12:32think he should have thought a Kanye but that's the thing the Kanye thing I mean
- 12:36this is this is like Kaner 2.0 right you shouldn't if a nonf famous person had
- 12:42walked onto that stage they would have been crashed tackled by security crash
- 12:46tackled and held face to the floor but when famous apparently nobody knew
- 12:53everybody was like this has got to be a joke of some sort they've
- 12:57pre-arranged and like even the even the the guy the producer of the of of the
- 13:02Academy Awards said I thought perhaps they had pre-arranged this and just not
- 13:07told me cuz that type of stuff does sort of happen so but but it's just a bizarre
- 13:11thing to have happen there's a lot behind this as well right so Will Smith
- 13:16and I didn't know any of this because I literally don't give a [ __ ] about Will
- 13:19Smith or any other celebrities's private life but in seeing all of this I've been
- 13:25forced to learn that Will Smith's wife came out on naal TV and admitted to him
- 13:30and the world that she had had sex with one of her son's friends 17 years old
- 13:37and that he was a better lover than Will Smith was now if if that happened to me
- 13:42I'd probably be a little on edge as well but I I will admit that that entire
- 13:49family sort of setup is really weird yeah I feel like they've gotten into
- 13:55Michael Jackson SL Prince style Fame like I I don't think Will Smith knows
- 14:01what's appropriate and what isn't Behavior yeah and clearly there's
- 14:05actually a reason he doesn't know and it's because the whole world doesn't
- 14:08know because the whole world is now debating whether it's okay for Will
- 14:13Smith to literally just walk up on stage and punch someone I know I see people
- 14:16like yeah but he said a mean thing about his wife like wait so what yeah what he
- 14:22should have done in my opinion yeah okay Chris Rock made a [ __ ] joke right and he
- 14:27didn't know about the medical condition probably so what Will Smith should have
- 14:30done is when he got up for his award should have said by the way my wife has
- 14:32a medical condition and I really didn't appreciate the joke then he would have
- 14:36gotten a standing ovation that he deserved imagine that you get up you you
- 14:41accept an award and then you go and by the way Chris Rock don't mention my
- 14:44wife's medical conditions on live TV he couldn't even he could have even made
- 14:48the joke or I'll [ __ ] come and [ __ ] slap you next time everyone would have
- 14:51applauded yeah exactly but the thing that I find the funniest about this was so I I was
- 14:58following along with this while it was on right so I was at work and I had the
- 15:02the other window open just kind of following along as the awards were
- 15:04happening and stuff cuz I do follow the Academy Awards and then when this
- 15:08happened oh I instantly tried to go Reddit everywhere that I thought people
- 15:11were going to be talking about this and for a good few hours no one quite knew
- 15:16what side the whole world was going to be on and so it was about 50/50 of
- 15:21people going yeah [ __ ] don't say anything about another man's wife you'll
- 15:24get hit in the [ __ ] face let's bring back the old values where you can punch
- 15:27someone for saying something bad and then it took a little while longer for
- 15:31the influential people to start weighing in and every influential person's
- 15:35opinion is you can't hit someone full [ __ ] stop you can't hit someone and
- 15:40so then now everyone's on that bandwagon but that wasn't the case for the first
- 15:45few hours no totally I still see people arguing that that everyone who's at the
- 15:50Oscars can't now get backtrack and say it was bad when they gave up and gave
- 15:53him a standing ovation yes there's footage of you standing up clapping well
- 15:57there is that thing where you're at an event you're expected to behave that way
- 16:01so that is a little odd oh that's a good point that's a good point and in fact
- 16:06you could CU there's also give steady evation to everyone though that is true
- 16:11fair point otherwise you're steady up and also I actually thought and now
- 16:15granted by this point I've seen him punch somebody but I thought his speech
- 16:20was incredibly self-serving self-indulgent and and just dripping
- 16:25with the kind of sentiment that I find disgusting in in a Hollywood celebrity
- 16:29anyway and I quite like Will Smith well the thing I was going to say was that I
- 16:33feel like I I kept thinking I haven't really heard Ricky J say anything
- 16:37directly about I've seen him retweet a few things that I agreed with and but
- 16:40the thing that I kept thinking was I sure his opinion on this is they're
- 16:45[ __ ] Rich powerful she can take a
- 16:49[ __ ] joke like this was so stupid like what an inappropriate way to behave
- 16:56like Get over yourself it's just a [ __ ] joke that's what her reaction isn't her
- 17:02reaction doesn't look upset angry it's just like really that's a joke you're
- 17:06going to tell and if you can't handle someone making a joke about that even if
- 17:10it is a personal thing maybe you shouldn't be a celebrity yeah that's
- 17:14right and not only that Jada pinket Smith is a [ __ ] pretty strong willed
- 17:18woman if she thinks that Chris Rock deserves a slap she can give him one
- 17:22herself yeah totally and and I think if she'd gone up there and slapped him the
- 17:26world might be having an even bigger can about how to feel about this than Will
- 17:31Smith getting all hyper masculine and doing it I've just posted a link down
- 17:34the bottom which shows just how sort of weird the Smith family is I think oh my
- 17:40God what this photo is like from years
- 17:44ago but uh yeah so that's Willow Smith
- 17:48who was 13 at time photographed in bed with a 20-year-old with his shirt off
- 17:53goodness me yeah well well that's what Ricky jaes said Ricky jaes was like I
- 17:57wouldn't have made a joke about her bald I would have made a joke about her
- 17:59[ __ ] that underage kid right yeah good point but here's the
- 18:04thing right so um the internet the sleuths out there in the um what what do
- 18:10they call them the uh neens the neens out there have dug up an old clip of
- 18:17Will Smith guest appearing on the arino Hall Show back in the '90s and making
- 18:22fun of aro's bass player who has alipa right and at at cuz he he's talking
- 18:28about social norms he's like and see this guy thinks it's normal that he has
- 18:31to polish his head every day and the audience actually
- 18:35goes and then he turns to camera and goes come on people they're just jokes
- 18:40right which is eerily similar to Chris Rock's response when he goes come on
- 18:45that was a nice one yeah yeah wait it was it wasn't that bad [ __ ] man yeah and
- 18:51look you maybe don't make fun of someone's haircut but his actual words
- 18:55were Jada I love you I can't wait for your next movie to come out like yes
- 18:59there was like that little onew punch in there that was the joke but he wasn't
- 19:05saying by the way you're a [ __ ] idiot he was saying thumbs up to you and
- 19:09you've even rocking a shaved head yeah and like as I said like he didn't that
- 19:12wasn't part of the planned monologue he was just he was [ __ ] around and he he
- 19:18made that joke about harier bid him right before and then uh him
- 19:21being looked yeah he looked over and he saw Will Smith who he was talking about
- 19:25and then he saw J pink Smith and it obviously just came to him and so he
- 19:29like wasn't a big deal it wasn't like trying to have a go her like no yeah now
- 19:36that as it may you could also argue that it doesn't matter about what your intent
- 19:39was if you said something hurtful to somebody then you liable to do it and I
- 19:42think if either Jaden or will had said as he said Matt later in the show um
- 19:47that was a low blow and we think you should apologize I'd be very surprised
- 19:50if didn't come out and apologize be later in the show I've got no problem
- 19:55with Will SP walking up or Jada walking up at the time and saying it right then
- 19:59and there just it doesn't need the physical
- 20:04side yeah I think even walking up is is a threatening gesture I I think in terms
- 20:09of the social norms of that situation nobody from the audience is allowed to
- 20:14walk up on stage like that's that's that's the contract that you agree to
- 20:18when you sit in the audience Chris's reaction is so genuine he's like uhoh
- 20:23what the [ __ ] is happening like and then yeah like I I I can't imagine dealing
- 20:29with it as well as he did where he was he just rolled with it move on you did
- 20:34see sort of look to the side and go like yes to do anything about stop want to
- 20:40keep going there's even a bit where he goes I could and then he stops and and
- 20:46moves on with something else I want to hear what he could do yeah I could hit
- 20:51you with my [ __ ] school bag
- 20:56brick don't let me show you my Chris
- 21:01[Laughter]
- 21:58and then poor guy he's like I'm here to give out a documentary and then he's
- 22:02like no I'm here to give out an award for a documentary the only thing he
- 22:05tripped up on no and I would have loved it and and it's fine but I would have
- 22:09loved it if he didn't miss a beat you know what I mean and just he do touch
- 22:12his face he doesn't rub his jaw he just man I would have been milking that I'd
- 22:18be on the floor going I don't think I would have been milking up but I still think I would
- 22:23have been done the [ __ ] [ __ ] that's the other thing too aric I mean it
- 22:27wasn't it wasn't wind up punch or anything but I reckon Will Smith's proba
- 22:32body behind like he twisted his body into that someone sent me apparently the
- 22:36cuz you know Will Smith is a Scientologist I think that's G is he
- 22:40yeah yeah right and there is a particular apparently allegedly right
- 22:46I'm not an expert Luke probably knows more about this than I do he's done
- 22:48their training do they teach you to slap people apparently that's a thing is that
- 22:51if they they teach you no no no allegedly they teach you a good way to
- 22:57hit someone cuz humiliating him that's that's that's the goal wow
- 23:03and so it's it was very intentional he went up there and he slapped him and he
- 23:10humiliated him in front of every cuz a slap is weird a slap is more humiliating
- 23:14than a punch exactly but it's humiliating to you can you imagine if at
- 23:18[ __ ] high school somebody was giving us [ __ ] and we went up and slapped him
- 23:22we'd be called for years after that it's true yeah what you should forget to
- 23:29close your fist Danny yes exactly yeah like if you slapped someone
- 23:34you might as well have just gone up and a hand like I I I can punch you but I
- 23:38don't and I you're a [ __ ] and I'm going to [ __ ] slap you yeah I'm just going to
- 23:42slap you because I'm still going to hurt you but if I punch you it's going to be too much
- 23:48for you so I'll slap you you have to be able to back it up with a punch later if
- 23:52they do come back at you though like that's the mhm oh I mean yeah I'm I'm
- 23:58glad he did I'm don't get me wrong I'm glad he didn't but man I would have
- 24:01loved it if he' hit him back if you look at it I think you do see his right hand
- 24:05go to react and I think he restrains himself what a man what a [ __ ] man I
- 24:11know actually before this moment I could have taken all leave in Chris Rock now
- 24:16he's my [ __ ] hero I've always liked Chris Rock cuz he sort of went
- 24:21away Ora went into just a stand up more than the movies well and he also did
- 24:27some serious rolls he was in the Fargo season 4 and he wasn't very good at the
- 24:33acting well there were no jokes even you saw movie that I haven't seen yet I do
- 24:37want I want to watch it apparently you know what I'm going to watch that now
- 24:41apparently the new Saw movie that he's in spiral was his idea he pitched that
- 24:47whole plot and everything so I don't know what it is I haven't seen it but I
- 24:50just remember Charlie clausa saying that actually Chris Rock pitched the whole
- 24:55thing so here's the thing I I I don't mind Will Smith I quite like Will Smith
- 25:01I've I've liked I've I've very much enjoyed several of his movies I've lost
- 25:06a lot of respect for him to be honest I have too well there's another thing that
- 25:10he did lately too that this is not in the spreadsheet but I watched go there
- 25:14was he he did a he did a little TV series or documentary thing about how
- 25:19he' put on a bunch of weight and he was I mean he's older now he's his 50s 40s
- 25:2450s he's like close to 60 yeah right he put on a bunch of weight he wanted to
- 25:28get back to like when he was ripped cuz he he was playing Ali yeah right and so
- 25:35he did this documentary except he basically was like
- 25:40I've got to lose the weight and get back to the condition I was in my you know
- 25:4320s and 30s uh in 5 days or some stupid thing and it was basically like why are
- 25:48you doing this and so he fails and it's
- 25:53like just I don't know unhealthy unrealistic very ridic I never I didn't
- 25:58watch documentary I just watched a YouTube video about it where they
- 26:00basically were like why did he do this and and then why did anybody why did
- 26:04they film this like I guess they started filming it and then realized halfway
- 26:07through he's not going to make it how can we make this interesting and I guess
- 26:10it's mostly just about him realizing that having self-esteem I'm an old man
- 26:15I'm an older man now I don't need to be see I don't think they should ever do
- 26:19anything about actors having to lose weight or get fit or anything because
- 26:23all it comes down to is someone here's what you now eat and now
- 26:28train here and this is your roue like it's not something AAL can do so I don't
- 26:33feel Sor for them it just made me think why what is wrong with Will Smith why is
- 26:37he even doing this why did he agree to do this TV show it's just so weird like
- 26:41if you want to lose the weight just do it sensibly why do you why is this but
- 26:45that's the thing stunt when you're a celebrity everything about your life has
- 26:49to be public it's the same thing why didn't him and Jada have a conversation
- 26:53in the privacy of their own home where she told him that he [ __ ] she [ __ ] a
- 26:56teenager why they have to go and do it on an special and know so weird no I
- 27:00think it just goes back that they do have that sort of Prince sort of
- 27:03mentality that yeah anything they want is just nor they don't understand how
- 27:08normal people behave anymore yeah or like yeah it's and I guess and the other
- 27:14thing people people are some a lot of people have praised Will Smith's apology
- 27:19that his PR Company put out on Instagram and I I put it to you that that that
- 27:23that means basically nothing it means absolutely nothing at all the real
- 27:26apology was the which was a bit [ __ ] yeah didn't mention Chris exact the one
- 27:32that came out what like over 24 hours later yeah [ __ ] off yeah did you see
- 27:38there's another angle come out that uh came out yesterday that hadn't come out
- 27:41earlier than this which was somebody about three rows behind them filming on
- 27:45their iPhone and um you see Jada laugh
- 27:49when Will Smith hits Chris Rock really so it's also taken the wind out of her
- 27:54sales if she wants to come out and go I was shocked by it and all of that but
- 27:58then again everyone's pointing out that Will Smith laughs there's a closeup of
- 28:02him laughing the first time that makes the joke but I would also say he
- 28:07probably didn't even understand what the [ __ ] joke was he was probably just
- 28:10laughing cuz Chris Rock's up there doing his thing on stage and he was in the
- 28:13audience and that's what you meant to do I've seen a lot of hot takes this week
- 28:17and one of them was that I don't know a whole lot about the Smiths but one of
- 28:21the takes was that I know way too much because of this stuff about her you know
- 28:26outing their his her know basically they have like an open relationship now
- 28:30apparently because of her because she demands it he doesn't exactly and and so
- 28:36a lot of people were saying like it looked like Will Smith was laughing
- 28:41realized she wasn't having it and was like oh [ __ ] I got to do something and
- 28:45blaming her for the whole thing because not only that she has said and I don't
- 28:49know the context of this but everyone's talking about it she has said that Will
- 28:53Smith is a great father great husband but he's just not a very good lover like
- 28:57she's quite open about dad like he just can't [ __ ] can you imagine
- 29:02yes my wife's not going around telling people that no she keeps that
- 29:07information to herself man for that as she should as is appropriate yeah yeah
- 29:13yeah and if she ever starts a podcast I'll be [ __ ] terrified one that's not
- 29:17with me you'll be walking up there and hitting her in the [ __ ] face like a
- 29:21real man does yeah exactly all right let's move away from Will Smith cuz I'm
- 29:27sick of it all right okay but if we're going to move away from Will Smith can
- 29:31we please move on to Ezra Miller please because I actually had to read
- 29:36several articles before I even understood what had happened this week
- 29:41who's Ezra Miller The Flash The Flash yes so there's some followup he's been
- 29:46arrested for uh is this the movie Flash or TV Flash movie Flash movie Flash okay
- 29:52yeah the one who choked the woman out mhm yes oh and this was only a few days
- 29:59ago yeah so I had to really read into this to find the chronology of this all
- 30:05right took me through it I've I've only seen this article and so me through it
- 30:10the way I'd heard it this is the headline i' I heard was something like
- 30:13this Ezra Miller has a restraining order against him by couple that he was
- 30:19staying at their house after being arrested at karoke bar and I was like
- 30:23that doesn't make any sense like that's those words individually sense but I
- 30:28just don't understand you put them together in a weird order here's what I think
- 30:33happened erra Miller is just out of [ __ ] control right as we knew already
- 30:39he he's in Hawaii for whatever reason he's at a farmer's market actually you
- 30:44do he meets a couple right local couple at the farmers market he was like yeah
- 30:50I'm staying in town I don't know where I'm staying yet they're like stay at our
- 30:54house great y so they so he's moved his stuff into their house he's staying
- 30:59there for a couple of days at one point and I don't know if they were there or
- 31:02not he goes to a karaoke bar where he starts just causing [ __ ] jumping up on
- 31:08stage taking the mic away from a young girl and singing over her got got into a
- 31:13fight with a guy at a pool table um was arrested they called the police he was
- 31:18arrested taken to Jail the the couple whose house he was staying at go to the
- 31:23police station and pay his bail so that he can be released right these are
- 31:28complete strangers essentially own ba they know him a little bit she went up
- 31:33and paid his bail went back to her house he goes to his room they go to their
- 31:37room then in the middle of the night he comes bursting into their bedroom and
- 31:42screaming at them all kinds of threats right starts yelling I'll bury you I'll
- 31:47bury you both they then call the police and now he has a restraining order you
- 31:53want to know who he's starting to remind me of Shuff yes
- 31:59yeah exactly this is the type of stuff that
- 32:03he was doing like when he at that b show and he just started just [ __ ] nuts
- 32:09yep I love that story just because he thought everybody was doing it and it
- 32:14but they weren't it was just him being a
- 32:17[ __ ] yeah so okay so the bail was 500 bucks which is not a lot so that that
- 32:23does clarify but I I just if I was to run into a celebrity
- 32:29mhm I'm not going to go hey do you want to come crash at my house what I I bet
- 32:34there are celebrities that you I want I want to find out where that Gap is so
- 32:39like Felicia Day you saw Felicia Day all right there's a log list okay but this
- 32:45is The Flash right yeah would there be any characters from Justice League that
- 32:50you would let stay at your house galgadot galgadot yes sure Ben Affleck
- 32:55at your house I let Ben affle stay at my house okay Henry Cav for sure is welcome at my
- 33:01house any day of the hold on hold on back this up back
- 33:06this up you at the farmers market right you look up over the cantaloupes
- 33:13Henry caval is testing to see how soft an avocado is right yeah you go look TV
- 33:19actor and and film Enthusiast Henry caval right you go I remember you and
- 33:26he's like from my film work and you go no watched you build your own PC on
- 33:29YouTube and he goes that YouTuber Henry K and and then he's go and then he says
- 33:34to you oh well actually I'm happy to help you build your own PC too um but I
- 33:40do need a place to sleep for the night and you're like sorry mate you are
- 33:46on your why did he need a place to stay why can't the flash afford a hotel I
- 33:51feel like the rest reason he can't afford $500 bail I feel like the rest of
- 33:56the story kind of makes sense to the fact that he didn't have a place to say
- 33:59he's a [ __ ] Maniac clearly
- 34:04yeah yeah so look if I was up at the the farmers market here in centry and I
- 34:08bumped into Henry Cav absolutely if I bumped Henry Cav had chat with him he
- 34:12was like oh yeah I'm not quite sure we're staying actually we're on holiday
- 34:14in Rhode Island for some reason I'm like you stay in my house you can stay my
- 34:20place if you want in fact I'd be embarrassed to offer but I would I mean
- 34:24he can of be once yeah yeah I was would say like who would off but who's
- 34:30offering the flash Han Zimmer if Han Zimmer was at the farmers market for
- 34:33some reason absolutely I mean would have to listen to some of my [ __ ] demos he be coming
- 34:40back or not he was like do you do you
- 34:43really yeah when I was about 20 um I
- 34:47used to follow the Dresden dolls um MH they were my favorite band at the time
- 34:53and they were the kind of one of the first bands to really kind of be on the
- 34:55internet and have an internet presence and before any of their tours I remember
- 35:01when they first came to Australia Amanda Palmer emailed anyone who had bought
- 35:04tickets to their show and was like can me and the band stay at your house
- 35:09yes well there were stipulations they were like we have to have you know you
- 35:14have to have a spare room I'm not sleeping on your floor in your bedroom
- 35:17like there's no funny business but I do need somewhere to stay which it sort of
- 35:22does make sense cuz like like with bands that are sort of big but not quite there
- 35:28they saving money on accommodation is a huge thing yeah yeah no look unless
- 35:33unless times have changed for them there are still situations where if you're in
- 35:38a place that Amanda Palmer and Neil Gan are traveling to you can give them a
- 35:42lift from the airport cuz they they need a lift from the airport and they'll ask
- 35:45and you can you can put your hand up like as as recently a few years ago somebody always
- 35:52will I'd go and get Neil gam from the airport 100% I enjoyed her book you know the art of
- 35:58but I think maybe I think she discounts how famous she is yes correct correct
- 36:04the of being a celebrity asking still in touch with the world unlike the Smiths
- 36:09yeah yes a little too in touch if you ask me I had to unfollow both of them on
- 36:13social media even though I I love them both because I just didn't want to know
- 36:18that much about their lives I'll read Neil's books if I want to know about you
- 36:22know what I mean like yeah yeah yeah I don't want to see him [ __ ] at Amanda
- 36:27can you get some [ __ ] Cherry Soda on your way home
- 36:31tonight or when he they had an argument and he [ __ ] off back to Scotland and
- 36:36then a pandemic happened and he couldn't they couldn't get back together that was
- 36:41intense wish I could [ __ ] off the Scotland you can now I was meant to [ __ ]
- 36:45off to stock Scotland and I couldn't because of the I like Scot you can now
- 36:49Scot we can't oh if we leave the country we might not be let back in yeah we're
- 36:54we're not quite there yet it's easier but now pandemics will over here in
- 37:00America well it's good cuz my wife will be in America tomorrow I mean it
- 37:03certainly seems like it when I go to Walmart oh yeah but it should be in
- 37:05California that's a little I think over there they're still you know Hollywood
- 37:08still a little bit still a little bit of a pandemic in California that's what
- 37:12I've told her I'm like don't believe them when they've said none of us have
- 37:15Co some of them do yeah even when in
- 37:192024 when I fly over to go to PEX East I'm going to be wearing a mask 2024 you
- 37:26you're coming over 2024 2024 fact East okay well I I I'm going to go into 2024
- 37:32cuz 2023 I still just don't know what trouble's going to be like in Australia
- 37:36just even with costs I think it's going to take a while for prices to drop so that's why
- 37:412024 yeah all right come over for packed East my birthday my friend's husband was
- 37:47a quantis pilot for 20 years now he's a
- 37:50bricky Quantas pilot are you yeah cor B for 20 years man and
- 37:56boy now he's a Ricky yeah they just laid off all they Pilots oh yeah right [ __ ]
- 38:02like they just there's just there's just not enough there's just not flights
- 38:05anymore out of Australia there's some not many and that's actually the other
- 38:09part of R OB two things I know how to do fly planes and lay bricks build a house
- 38:14yeah they're starting to BR cuz remember during the pandemic they flew all the
- 38:17planes to the desert and park them and now they bringing them all
- 38:20back into the sun like at the end of Battlestar
- 38:25Galactica won't be needing these anymore why why did you remind me of the end of
- 38:30Battle Star [Laughter] Galactica maybe we could have used some
- 38:35technology to make our lives easier that yeah that [ __ ] okay that didn't make
- 38:40any sense a lot of the last episode didn't make any sense we should destroy
- 38:44all this stuff wait why why yeah maybe we should keep I'm not really good at
- 38:49farming so if we got machines that can grow [ __ ] yeah yeah all of us are
- 38:56pilots ridiculous hey the new the new season the new well the new version of
- 39:01it comes out soon I think I don't know about that yeah I'm
- 39:07still interested to see how they're going to release it they said they're
- 39:09going to release it not one episode at a time but not all at once oh okay so
- 39:14there might be weird yeah so they're going so it'll be at least one a week
- 39:18but then if there's like a big battle or something that it's going to take a bit
- 39:21of time they'll release like two episodes so you don't get left in
- 39:24halfway through a battle or something so yeah right could be interesting I
- 39:28suppose there's no reason why you have to do it one at a time all with any yeah
- 39:33with any kind of consistency yeah no reason yeah we didn't want to spend the
- 39:38time to try and Pace it out the you in a way a normal show would so we just
- 39:43changed the format to suit our l so something I read this week that I kind
- 39:49of knew would happen and I also know why it's
- 39:54happening but I'd love your guys opin opinion on this okay unless you don't want to give
- 40:02it in the next season of Umbrella Academy oh sure yeah yeah Elliot Pig's
- 40:08character comes out as transgender
- 40:11yeah y because the actra who plays that character has come out as transgender in
- 40:18real life yeah yeah I it's
- 40:25interesting it's I think the the thing with it is it's it's the first time a
- 40:29very famous person has transitioned in the public eye I think well that's
- 40:34actually not entirely true not because you have like um Caitlyn Jenner and
- 40:41first time a character actor has transitioned right and so like for
- 40:45example there are some very famous transgender actors and actresses now but
- 40:50they were transgendered before they became famous whereas now you know
- 40:56Elliot page is very fam a very popular television show and I was yeah I was cuz
- 41:03when they when the way I found out was that they first posted uh he posted a
- 41:06picture of the character on his Twitter account saying uh Victor Hargraves is
- 41:11the character's name now and I was like oh okay I cuz I had wondered what they
- 41:16were going to do I thought this was going to be a good opportunity for
- 41:22Elliot and the kind of whole community of actors to say we can play any gender
- 41:29my personal life doesn't affect the characters I play but the fact that that
- 41:36hasn't happened the opposite has happened is just an interesting phenon
- 41:40what I'm interested to see is I'm hoping this is going so bad I'm hoping that in
- 41:46the show it's not a just a very smooth thing that just happens that just come
- 41:52out I I hope that there is some sort of confusion questions to show sort of what
- 41:57actually happening in the real world when this happens so it shouldn't it
- 42:00just be a love oh you want to be known by that now yep yeah not a problem we
- 42:03all support you it' be better if there is that sort of people yeah but pretty
- 42:09wild that they're actually like if it's like a plot Point that's going to be I I
- 42:13mean it'll certainly be interesting uh but it just I mean surprising to me that
- 42:17they were going to do that it's it's bold to take that on as actually part of
- 42:23the show I guess is what I'm trying to say but I understand why you would and I
- 42:27think this is the safe option yeah yeah I suppose so but but that's why I was I
- 42:33thought maybe if Elliot pagee previously known as Ellen pagee is like mate I
- 42:40could still play Vana no problem yeah yeah I wonder about that too I'm still
- 42:45as good an actor as I always was yeah right yeah you I I have already played
- 42:49that character so I can continue continue to play that character my ha in
- 42:53real life but when they first posted the picture and said this is Victor HRI so I was
- 42:57thinking oh they just cast him as a different character or what is happening
- 43:02here like and then but then they clarified it no no that the character
- 43:06will come out as trans as well and I was like oh okay I mean I consider see it
- 43:10being a good thing because you it's something you don't see normally when
- 43:15there is a trans character in a t sh or a movie they're already already happened
- 43:20you're not see that transition that transition could be part of the hardest
- 43:24part is that that beginning to I need to come out and tell people that this is
- 43:30what I am this this is who I am it's a good opportunity to kind of educate
- 43:34people because I think as is fairly obvious from the way we're kind of
- 43:37stumbling around here we don't have a lot of context for this stuff as almost
- 43:41none like and hopefully we're not coming across negatively cuz honestly I don't
- 43:47care what people do and I fully support everybody's decision do whatever they
- 43:50want I just don't necessarily I don't know what it's like
- 43:54and and that's why I'm sort of going
- 44:00to and that's why it shouldn't just be cuz I've seen it in some shows I can't
- 44:04remember which ones but or maybe it's game but someone this and everyone's
- 44:08just super accepting and we move on and because the Riders want to be seen Rea
- 44:14not real CU even if people can be supportive but they can still be
- 44:18confused they can still be yeah yeah but then you don't want to lean too heavily
- 44:22into that because honestly CU beyond that people can be [ __ ] [ __ ] about
- 44:25it and you don't want lean too far into that either I don't think right oh I
- 44:29think providing that it swings back around to a positive by the end could
- 44:34have a be the underdog for a bit and then and then have everyone go oh you
- 44:38know what still you and we love you I mean there's going to be more to it because
- 44:42of plot reasons for the show that I won won't give away if you haven't seen it
- 44:47but the other thing is that going to say the show's already dealing with so much
- 44:52I know it's like yeah the um one of the characters of chimp for Christ's sake
- 44:58that's what I mean it's just such a yeah it's so I'm trans chimp yeah well I mean
- 45:03we're all learning I guess yeah and well some of us are learning better than
- 45:07others uh on that note um do you know that um Steven Spielberg literally said
- 45:13to Michael Bay you need to stop making Transformers
- 45:17movies I saw that um yeah why he was
- 45:23like enough is enough yeah sure enough is enough but also you know what you're
- 45:27getting with for Transformers movies [ __ ] blows up and there's
- 45:32robots yeah and then he said that he he agrees well I see I don't know why he
- 45:37agrees so because he they then went on to point out that they've all made like
- 45:40you know hundreds of millions of dollars and it's kind of like I think probably
- 45:45just because once you start talking in those numbers I don't have context for
- 45:48that that Michael Bay does m you know like we could have told SP spelberg to
- 45:52have stopped at three Indiana Jones movies yeah right the fifth one comes
- 45:56out this year doesn't it will it though [ __ ] but I mean like
- 46:01when you tell Michael B oh your movie and he made $300 million he's like I
- 46:05can't believe it what a failure whereas if I made a movie that made $300 million
- 46:09I'm [ __ ] retiring
- 46:12that's yeah I have succeeded that life yeah I made a movie that broke even and
- 46:19I was like yes yeah not in Deb for my movie myself a pizza with the
- 46:24money that's right tasted like victory
- 46:28yeah cheese tasted like Hollywood but are they talking about
- 46:33making another Transformers movie the last one was um I'm almost certain that they are
- 46:40talking about it I didn't see Bumblebee I think the last one I saw was with
- 46:43Marky Mark bumblebee wasn't actually I quite enjoyed it he did too I quite
- 46:47enjoy all the ones I've seen I'll be totally honest oh yeah they're fine as
- 46:51like trash popcorn you know what you're getting as you say it's not like you go
- 46:55in going oh let's see if this is the new citizen K like you go in going I can't
- 47:00wait to see some robots turn into cars yeah there's no there's no character
- 47:03studies about people transitioning in a Transformers
- 47:09movie Transformers why has this not been done
- 47:15I think you know why guys you can turn from a car into a robot yeah but also I
- 47:20have body dysmorphia and I really want to talk about the issues behind this
- 47:24they going to blow everyone's [ __ ] minds m [ __ ] you the cinema goinging audience
- 47:29Sit down you're in for a character study
- 47:36Megatron even Luke can't get on board this no Luke could you get on board
- 47:41Bruce Willis would you let Bruce Willis stay at your house actually I wouldn't
- 47:46Bruce Willis is not one of my I would he's not one of my go-to I'd like to
- 47:50have a beer with type of person he seems like AIT I've heard
- 47:54heally I don't know about that I thinku probably wouldn't want to have a be with
- 47:58you either just because oh you know what I've been listening to haleywood and
- 48:02that's why I think it's because one of the things they talk about very early on
- 48:06Bruce Willis wants to be famous but he wants you to leave him alone he wants to
- 48:12he wants you to know who he is he wants you to see him and go there Bruce Willis
- 48:16but then [ __ ] don't approach him yeah but yeah then just keep your [ __ ]
- 48:20head down they're the types of actors that I don't like you know who else I
- 48:25reckon is that Christian Will Smith [Laughter] Will Smith [ __ ] notice my wife Chris
- 48:31Rock I'm sick of guys noticing my wife had enough of
- 48:35it um I never really noticed his wife noticed her now she was in The Matrix I
- 48:40know that I don't know if she was anything else I had to remind myself of that to be
- 48:44honest um yeah Bruce Willis follow up we talked about this a bit red Le media did
- 48:51a video about what the [ __ ] is Will Smith doing Will Smith what the [ __ ] is
- 48:55Bruce Willis doing um um turns out they were right basically he's uh he's not
- 49:01white yeah so he just went out was filming a lot of films taking a in two
- 49:06years very quickly got diagnosed and then was like well [ __ ] I be again
- 49:13basically he won't be able to speak so
- 49:16so he has aasia that's [ __ ] yeah which which is a type of dementia right mhm
- 49:22yeah affects the ability to speak and understand and whatnot so correct me if
- 49:27I'm wrong but that wasn't a theory that red letter media put out red letter
- 49:31media analyzed why he was doing all these bad movies talked about the fact that he had
- 49:36an earpiece to learn his lives other people that yeah that and we thought so
- 49:40too and it certainly seemed like that um and it was funny it was funny to watch
- 49:45someone who was such a big movie star um in again this is this is someone that I
- 49:50like die hard is a great [ __ ] movie you know fth element he's done some
- 49:55really iconic stuff like [ __ ] I love Hudson Hawk yeah [ __ ] love Hudson
- 50:01Hawk you're that guy that loves Hudson Hawk I there's two of we went to see it
- 50:06yeah there are literally dozens of us I even played the SNES game for Hudson I
- 50:11remember the Hudson hwk SNES game yeah there was a SN game for Hudson Hall yes
- 50:16that that's a movie that does not deserve a game no I think it was really
- 50:21was it ocean games there was there was a there was there was one Dev that just
- 50:26kept buying licenses yeah they did the Batman's and the yeah just kept
- 50:31publishing [ __ ] movie tie-in hoping one of them would make money yeah it was
- 50:36it was ocean for sure but yeah so he's uh he he apparently not but he really he does
- 50:43have early onset dementia it's very sad and he's retired now yes not only is is
- 50:48that why he needs the earpiece and needs someone to and can't do with the fight
- 50:51scenes and and can only be on set for one day and all of this stuff but it's
- 50:55also the reason he did many at once is so that he could just put the money in
- 50:59the bank knowing he'll never be able to make money again AL he Pro apparently
- 51:02didn't tell all I guess early on at least or up until a certain point didn't
- 51:07tell the film crew that that's what was happening and then there were these
- 51:12stories coming out now where people were like the [ __ ] what is he all right like
- 51:16he's not behaving normally and apparently there's a story where he he
- 51:21they're on set shooting something and then will Bruce you can't want to say
- 51:25Will Smith for some reason Bruce Willis ising probably does it yeah Bruce Willis
- 51:30looks around and he's looking at the lighting guy in the Gaff and he's like
- 51:33well I know why you're here and I know why you're here why am I
- 51:38here I know and it's like [ __ ] that's so sad and then to the point where where
- 51:44like the The Producers went to talk to his people and said is he all right and
- 51:49they said look Bruce is very happy to be here and he's really excited about the
- 51:53project so let's just get this done and it's like okay cuz obviously they
- 51:57weren't allowed to say anything yeah is Bruce is Bruce married currently
- 52:04at the does he have a wife I know that have someone at home to look at sep
- 52:07frommy more right but they sort of got back together didn't they or they're
- 52:11sort of still very close maybe then maybe they're not back together but
- 52:15maybe because he has dementia she's like welcomed him back oh no his wife is Emma
- 52:20Heming who's Hing maybe he got his wish and we just don't know enough about him
- 52:25anymore what's his wish oh wow he to be left alone to be left alone oh Jesus
- 52:31okay I thought his wish was for em Heming I'll be like yeah I can
- 52:34understand why you'd wish for this how old is she [ __ ] hell married since
- 52:402009 how did we miss this I mean whatever was she still in high school in
- 52:44200 no she she's older than us no holy
- 52:50[ __ ] she is these are Hollywood people they're she does not look years old is
- 52:56she an actress uh it looks like she was in Red 2 so
- 53:02yes she was in a movie that means I'm an act no is that that means I'm an actress
- 53:08that's four years after they got married though so uh maybe I'll become let me go
- 53:12to IMDb she's known for Red 2 perfect strangers The Comeback
- 53:18perfume oh yeah perfume was a good movie oh perfume that was a great
- 53:22movie different different different perfume I've clicked through different
- 53:26perfume oh and and in perfume she was model number three different different
- 53:31movie and if you Google just her name the only pictures that come up are
- 53:35pictures of her and Bruce Willis so I guess she's probably a little bit more
- 53:39wellknown to be a movie star's wife than a movie star herself but she is older
- 53:43than us though that is true so all right I mean but Bruce
- 53:48Willis but now she's going to have to look after Bruce wless for the rest of
- 53:51his life oh you were about to say the rest of her life changed at the last minute
- 53:56res of his life she's not though because he's just done 25 movies
- 54:03that will pay for his his care well he doesn't have to do anything the um the
- 54:08the last little bit of Bruce Willis news and I I really like this is that last
- 54:13year the Razzy Awards the golden raspberries that come out each year
- 54:17after the Oscars and give out awards for the worst film and the worst actor um
- 54:22they really crucified Bruce Willis last year um and I'm sure they felt at the
- 54:26time that he really deserved it they have officially removed all of his Razzi
- 54:31Awards in light of this diagnosis no I call [ __ ] he still did those
- 54:36movies he did but under he's an old sick man yeah exactly he still did the
- 54:43movies I mean you're right you're right
- 54:48so just because he has a condition doesn't mean that his performance was
- 54:53any better or worse those they still stand on what I would like to I would
- 54:57like to point out I find it funny that where Luke comes down on the other side
- 55:01Tak hard line on this one all right Luke I've got one for you
- 55:06here's a question you're not going to want to answer
- 55:10right if Elliot page in the past had won a Best Actress award would would Elliot
- 55:16paage have to give that back now no why well why would you well how can a man
- 55:22have a best female actress award
- 55:29but then but it goes back to the thing that they do on IM IMDb whereas known as
- 55:35this I've become so cynical too though I heard I saw someone on Facebook talk
- 55:39about talking about the the whole Will Smith thing and say like to um to be
- 55:44able to do that to to to hit someone on live television and then receive one of
- 55:47the most prestigious Awards in entertainment and I rolled my eyes cuz I
- 55:52was cuz I've become that guy that's like oh the Academy Awards like prestigious
- 55:58yeah one of the things I've been saying for a very long time the the Academy
- 56:01Awards isn't for people who go to movies stuff for us most people don't know that
- 56:07and I didn't know that it's only like once you were kind of like I'm not I
- 56:12wouldn't say I'm an Insider but I know more inside baseball stuff about that
- 56:16industry now that I kind of go it's all [ __ ] yeah like most people do think it's
- 56:21quite prestigious yeah and not only that there's there's two two other points
- 56:25here number one is that it's not a straight like who was the best who voted
- 56:30you've got a campaign you have them but but you have to petition them they don't
- 56:35just nominate you you've got to nominate yourself that's why got of garbage in my
- 56:41because they send yeah it costs money to nominate yourself like you you pretty
- 56:46much have to have someone behind you back it's like the presidential race
- 56:50right you can't vote for anyone you've got to vote for the people that the
- 56:53parties are putting forward to vote for but then also if you like the the best
- 56:57movie that wins it's not the best movie that the audience have gone to scene p
- 57:02and made like a billion dollars which well we can talk about if you want in
- 57:07the Afterparty we can talk about movies heard of the film that won best film
- 57:13this year what did win best hadn't even Apple power of the dog Apple
- 57:18TV yeah yeah okay I've only SE seen I have a postgraduate film degree I'd
- 57:25never heard of it it's because very well at advertising I no well I
- 57:30have an Apple TV and it's been in my face every time I turn it on so I did
- 57:33know about it but that's why and we could talk about two films that the
- 57:36audience apparently did think were quite good at the Oscars in the Afterparty oh
- 57:43I want to know how do you how do you get to the Afterparty well you could head to
