- 0:23chickens. Hey everybody.
- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30I want to tell Your story today about one of my chickens named
- 0:34Daisy. So, actually, her name is Daisy
- 0:36Mae to be exact and Daisy Mae is a little Barred Rock chicken
- 0:43that we got. And she was completely, and
- 0:46totally fine. And then one day I came out to
- 0:50let them out, and she had a crooked neck and it's something
- 0:54in the chicken world that's referred to as wryneck.
- 0:57And her neck is basically bent. And she's He's got like a hunch
- 1:01on her and most chickens do not survive having wryneck for one
- 1:06reason or another. The other chickens pick on them.
- 1:10They get can't eat well, they just have physical challenges
- 1:15but Daisy Mae is of course she lives in a house where I'm her
- 1:19coach, right? But all joking aside, she had
- 1:23her struggle in the beginning and she just became very astute
- 1:28at survival. She became very Much a bird that
- 1:33we worked with my son talk to her, made sure that he was
- 1:37taking care of her, gave her extra love and lo and behold
- 1:42Daisy Mae has survived just fine.
- 1:45She gets out there with all the other birds.
- 1:48She's busy all the time. She eats just like perfectly
- 1:52fine. She does not have an issue,
- 1:54actually eats an awful lot and she's, you know, totally
- 1:59connected to the floor. Locke does she always liked
- 2:02being with all of them? No.
- 2:03Because sometimes their brats and that's the world of
- 2:06chickens. But for the most part, except
- 2:09for one small incident, where she got into an argument with
- 2:12somebody, and I think she may have been the bully initiating
- 2:15it, but she can't finish any fight.
- 2:16She starts because of her neck, you know, she has learned.
- 2:21She has, she has not just learned, she's thriving, living
- 2:26in the space that we provide for her.
- 2:28And I want to talk to You guys in reference to taking your
- 2:33conditions and stop just surviving and throw and turn it
- 2:36into thriving. You know.
- 2:39We are bombarded with negative stuff all the time, every day
- 2:42without question, we are bombarded with it and it's hard
- 2:46to hear it all. It's hard to take it all in.
- 2:48We all have challenges whether they're physical, mental,
- 2:51emotional, whatever is going on. We all have challenges and we
- 2:55all have to work very hard. To keep our mindset clear rather
- 3:01than taking it all in and making ourselves nuts over it.
- 3:05It's so easy to make yourself crazy right now, it all you do
- 3:08is turn the television on, but I wanted to use Daisy as an
- 3:12example, because no matter what happens in this situation, Daisy
- 3:18just moves on Daisy. Just says, okay, I'm not going
- 3:22down there and I'm going to just move on and she does and she
- 3:25doesn't hold on to it. And the next day is a whole new
- 3:27day. In fact, I think in the next
- 3:29minute, it's a whole new minute. Nobody holds onto anything and
- 3:32nobody allows themselves to become victims.
- 3:36Here, they just find better ways.
- 3:39You know, all this squabbling. All this stuff that you here is
- 3:42because people like to or chickens, I call them.
- 3:44People listen to me because I feel like that for them, they
- 3:49have to work their way into the order, the pecking order, and
- 3:52they have to fit in. And there's a hierarchy going on
- 3:57right now, where They're trying to decide who they are.
- 3:59I've got teenagers that are becoming more adult birds and
- 4:03they don't want to take the back seat and the adults, the big
- 4:05girls do not want to give up their positions.
- 4:08So everybody's jockeying for position and the Beautiful part
- 4:11of this, nobody hates each other, nobody just is victimized
- 4:15to just be victimized, they move on, they forget about it and we
- 4:19can learn a huge lesson from them in this because we remember
- 4:22everything we hang on to our past.
- 4:24We hang onto these experiences. We hang onto what's wrong.
- 4:27And then It becomes our reality, the thing I'm sure about is
- 4:30Daisy, has no clue that her neck is as jacked up as it is nor do
- 4:35I think she cares. I think she's completely fine
- 4:37with it. I don't think she Minds it at
- 4:39all. I think that she has figured out
- 4:41a way to be happy and to get extra cookies and treats for my
- 4:46son and get spoiled and get carried around.
- 4:49And she has slept in the house a couple nights when she was not
- 4:53feeling well and she has found her way to be happy.
- 4:58And this is what we all need to do.
- 5:00So today's lesson, you got to be more like Daisy, you got to just
- 5:04say, okay this is where I am. I'm going to be happy anyway.
- 5:08I'm not going to take in negative energy and I'm just
- 5:10going to move on. It's it's the simplest of
- 5:13lessons but right now with the struggles that are happening out
- 5:18there and how everybody seems to be going through some sort of
- 5:23trial and tribulation, whether it's with our kids, being back
- 5:26in school and people, Running into issues that they don't want
- 5:29to deal with. Whether it's the kid doesn't
- 5:31want to learn, you know, what's happening in the world, interest
- 5:35rates, you know, money coming in business, slowing down, whatever
- 5:39it might be. I have to tell you, there's
- 5:42always something. So, allowing yourself to get
- 5:45caught up in the drama. Instead of being peaceful and
- 5:48allowing yourself to develop the thoughts.
- 5:51You need to be healthy to find the solutions, to seek them out
- 5:55for them to seek you out. It all requires, that sense of
- 5:59Peace. So today, our lesson is, let's
- 6:03be more like Daisy Mae because I promise you, you'll be a lot
- 6:06happier. I hope you guys have a great day
- 6:08and I will see you tomorrow. Bye.
