  Hello, everyone, and welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin on this icy,

  You name it, it's coming down here. It took me about a good 30 minutes to get

  to work this morning, which is usually a 15 to 20 minute commute.

  I took my time. So please, by all means, all of you out there right now,

  I'm asking you to drive very carefully.

  And for those that think that their cars are unstoppable, they're not.

  Take your time. It's very poor conditions out there. And I really stress that for you guys.

  Today's message is quite simple. And we're going to be praying for all those

  that are in the line of this storms that are happening in.

  So we're calling today a Thursday power of prayer.

  And we're going to start that right now.

  Heavenly Father, we thank you for being a part of our lives.

  Lord, as I continue to read the Gospel of Luke and reading the Bible in ministry

  school, I am just moved by your words, by the words that have been written.

  Listening to all the things that

  you have done and continue to do as you create this path for all of us.

  Lord, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for coming into my heart,

  for coming into all of the Half-Faith Let It Begin families,

  and for all those that are seeking you, Lord, and have found you.

  Thank you, Lord, for just being a part of everything that we need to do.

  Lord, we know we're not perfect.

  We know that life can throw a curveball. We know that life is at times challenging
• 3:31
  and sometimes overwhelming.

  We're asking you, Lord, more today than ever to guide those that are traveling
• 3:40
  this morning, have mercy on them.
• 3:42
  And we thank all the first responders, all the men and women that are out there
• 3:47
  salting the roads and plowing that are away from their families from probably over 24 hours.

  May they rest during their parts of resting periods.
• 3:57
  We pray for all those out there that have to be outside.

  We pray for those that are home and working from home.

  We thank the superintendents from the schools that made a very smart decision
• 4:09
  last night to call the parents and say, hey, there's no way we're having your kids come in tomorrow.

  Thank you for making that decision so quickly. And finally, I like to pray for
• 4:19
  some people that are dealing with hospitalization or illness.

  We pray for Joanne and Joanne's sister.

  We lift up in prayer for Douglas, for Kenneth.

  We continue to lift up in prayer the cancer survivors and those that have been
• 4:38
  diagnosed with cancer. We pray for children.

  We pray for all those that are dealing with the flu and this crazy virus that's been going around.

  We lift them up in prayer as well.
• 4:49
  We pray for understanding.
• 4:52
  We pray for forgiveness.
• 4:54
  We pray for those that sin and we ask them to sin no more.

  You know, I was listening to.

  The audible version at one point because sometimes I can't read the Bible straight out.

  And, you know, hearing the words about don't steal, don't, you know,
• 5:15
  don't lie and don't give false, you know, a,
• 5:20
  false testimonies. I can't remember how many times I have maybe even said certain
• 5:28
  things in my lifetime that were false, you know, and quite honestly, they were lies.

  And I'm hoping that God forgives me for the things that I have done in my past.

  You know, it really hit home to me. I encourage each and every one of you to
• 5:45
  just pick up a Bible and read a little bit, because I guarantee you won't be able to put it down.

  And if you want to talk to me or talk to anyone out there about that,
• 5:54
  about what you read, it's okay to ask.

  And it's certainly okay to say, I don't understand what I'm reading right now.

  That happens. But I guarantee you that somewhere down the line,

  you will understand everything because God loves us, God believes in us,

  God trusts us, and God will never leave our side.

  So as we leave you today with Amazing Grace playing in the background,

  we pray the words that God taught us.

  Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
