- 0:04The Mets are in a bad spot right now.
- 0:11I've never seen a Ranger team quick before the Olympics.
- 0:14We're going to be looking at Aaron Judge and saying that he
- 0:17can't win the big game, Michael Jordan said.
- 0:19I played 82 games. You don't see the fun doing
- 0:22that, but Jack Hughes did after getting his team knocked out to
- 0:25play every single shift he got back in the game.

- 2:44we have this NFL draft preview. So let's get into it.
- 2:49Let's RIP it, I guess. Let's RIP it.
- 2:52All right, let's. Let's do it.
- 2:54Let's get into this draft preview Part 2.
- 2:56Where's my stuff? I lost Speedy.
- 2:58Get the music up for this segment, boys.
- 3:04Techno. Get that techno, speedy.
- 3:07Get that techno going, baby. So look, Errol, you said it
- 3:12earlier tonight, not expected to be the deepest draft of all
- 3:15drafts, but it's certainly deep in elite defensive prospects.
- 3:19So what we did last time, we're going to do this time.
- 3:21We're going to break down the top ten.
- 3:23First, the guys that are expected to go in the top 10
- 3:25based on the Athletics. Dane Bruegler's The Beast Guide,
- 3:29probably the best going right now.
- 3:31He has a list of top 300. He's got crazy detail.
- 3:34We're just going to focus in on guys expected to go in the first
- 3:38round and then after top 10, go by position group.
- 3:40So here's the guys in the top ten and we'll start with #1 But
- 3:45let me read them all off first. Number one is Arvel Reese, the
- 3:48Ohio State pass rusher likely and favored in Vegas right now
- 3:52to go to The Jets at #2. After that we have Sonny Styles
- 3:57ranked at #4 Caleb Downs to say Ohio State safety at #5 Mansoor
- 4:03Dillane, the LSU corner, he has ranked at number six overall,
- 4:08which is a little high compared to other guys.
- 4:09David Bailey, the Texas Tech edge rusher, again, him and
- 4:14Reese are just looked at as the guys are going 1-2 at edge
- 4:17rusher at 7:00 and then at 9, Reuben Bain, who seems to be
- 4:22slotting in as the third guy at pass rusher at #9 with the guy
- 4:26that might be on your New York Jets.
- 4:28Errol Arvel Reese, 1 1/2 year starter at Ohio State, a little
- 4:32surprising only 1 1/2 year to be this high.
- 4:34But Matt Patricia, again, former Patriot, we were just talking
- 4:36about Patriots a little bit ago. Patriot defense, very multiple
- 4:40front hybrid linebacker that 3-4 with the two gapping nose inside
- 4:44is kind of that Patriot staple from back in the day.
- 4:46They've done something some different stuff over the years,
- 4:49bringing more of that 425 field to it.
- 4:51Having that hybrid guy on the outside, this is what they want
- 4:55him for. They used to use Jamie Collins
- 4:57in a similar way in that defense and the olden days, this would
- 5:01be like that on steroids. 2.0 Not a lot of production on the
- 5:05field but but you watch him and he jumps off the tape and had
- 5:09one of the most electric combines in recent memory.
- 5:11Combines don't mean nothing. As you heard Albert Hainsworth,
- 5:14everybody can say, oh, look what Styles did.
- 5:17It's great, Sonny Styles. But the better player, the best
- 5:20player on that defense was Alvaro, Alvaro Reese, and that
- 5:23was the best defenses in the country.
- 5:25Ohio State Buckeyes was the best.
- 5:27And you look at what he has done, his height, his size, his
- 5:31ability, everything that he does, I don't care if he played
- 5:331 1/2 years, it doesn't matter. On tape you can can see how
- 5:37great his hands are, his ability to spin outside and inside.
- 5:41You could put him as a linebacker, an outside
- 5:43linebacker. You could put him as a defensive
- 5:45end. You can move them around like
- 5:46Michael Parsons reminds me of a little bit bigger in athletic
- 5:50Von Miller. We'll have to see how he
- 5:52develops in the league, but this guy can do everything and he
- 5:56could be dominant. I love this pick for The Jets.
- 5:58I'm not going to be upset if they went with Alvaro or they
- 6:02went with somebody else. I mean, a a David Bailey or hey,
- 6:06maybe a Bane, but I like this. This is a good move for The
- 6:09Jets. He's a, he's a slam dunk player.
- 6:11Yeah, this is the best prospect for me.
- 6:12I think he's versatile in every facet.
- 6:15Yeah, the position like getting reps at one position versus the
- 6:18other or something that I think just the coaching off to figure
- 6:20out. You don't want to pass on an
- 6:21athlete that has this much well-rounded game and can play
- 6:24both outside linebacker and edge right on the line and even did
- 6:28some spies. And that was one of the things
- 6:30fish. The other thing, the profile was
- 6:32described, he did a lot of spies on screens too, which is
- 6:34something that you don't usually see a lot in today's game.
- 6:37To have an edge rusher to have that kind of skill as well,
- 6:39which is very important in a quick strike offense.
- 6:43Yeah, I like him. Talent wise, gift wise, it
- 6:47won't. He he isn't my number one, but I
- 6:49do believe that The Jets will take him number two.
- 6:52Overall, I think he is very fitting for the 425 defense,
- 6:57which is everybody's going to these days.
- 6:59Excuse me, everybody's going to in that *** package and what
- 7:03not. I think he's explosive.
- 7:04He meets all the metrics. I would like for him to get a
- 7:07little bigger, a little more size on them and I would like I
- 7:10will see. I I think it's going to take him
- 7:12another year or two to develop, not just because he's a Ricky,
- 7:16but I just don't think he has that experience that he would
- 7:18need. And I and I don't want The Jets
- 7:20to kind of be throwing them around in different positions.
- 7:23Whatever. I think he'll be better off with
- 7:25The Jets if he just rushed more than he dropped into coverage or
- 7:28more than they moved him around on the line.
- 7:30Keep him on the outside. He got a first quick step is his
- 7:33first step is quit he act. If he's he, we can really do
- 7:37something with him and in a productive way.
- 7:39But don't move them all the way around.
- 7:42Keep him on the outside wide 9. Let him run.
- 7:45Let him have some success. I think, I think they'll pick
- 7:47him and I think he'll have a good career, but I think it's
- 7:51going to take a year or two to develop.
- 7:54Yeah, I mean, he that's, but for me, like, isn't that what you
- 7:58want as the top pick? Like he's already this good and
- 8:00he doesn't have all the moves figured out yet.
- 8:02Like what's he going to be when he does?
- 8:04And then they have to have the good coach being so you get our
- 8:06hope. You know, if you're taking a guy
- 8:08who's a little raw, you can treat, you can like kind of
- 8:11coach him up on it, which is why I kind of, I would've always
- 8:13been like a little bit higher on Bain.
- 8:15Maybe not the same athlete, but you know, he was coached up by
- 8:18Jason Taylor. Why don't we talk about why
- 8:20don't we do that since since we're here, let's get stay with
- 8:22the edge rushers in this one. We'll go do Bailey and then
- 8:25Bain. So David Bailey is ranked #7
- 8:28here. This is the other guy The Jets
- 8:29are considering. Reportedly he was only a one
- 8:32year starter at Tech at Texas Tech field side edge rusher,
- 8:36stand up and hand in the ground. Kind of that 425 scheme.
- 8:40Again, if The Jets are going to that, that makes sense on a
- 8:42scheme fit. Led the F, LED all college
- 8:44football in sacks 14 1/2 and pressure rate 21.3%.
- 8:49Second in tackles for loss and total pressures to Bain, but
- 8:53played a lot fewer snaps than Bain did.
- 8:55I don't know. That means he's a little bit
- 8:57more efficient, but maybe you like Bain better because then
- 8:59come off the field to talk about him in a second.
- 9:01But he is super fast, super violent, maybe a little smaller
- 9:06than you think, but the way he plays.
- 9:08But he is just a Wrecking Ball. I like Reese more than Bailey
- 9:11because there's so much more upside with Reese than there was
- 9:15with Belly. Belly is a good player.
- 9:17He's going to be a good NFL player.
- 9:18But again, there a lot of people look at him and they say he's
- 9:22more raw than Reese. And that's the questions that
- 9:25everybody has for him. Could he do this in the NFL at a
- 9:28high level like he was doing it for Texas Tech?
- 9:30You look at Ohio State, you look at the Buckeyes, look at who
- 9:32they were playing this year. They were playing top level
- 9:35teams, Texas Tech not as good of talented, talented teams.
- 9:39And and their schedule is not anywhere close to what Ohio
- 9:42State was playing this year. So I I'm going with Reese
- 9:45because I think there's more upside, but I love David Bailey.
- 9:48I think whoever decides to to draft him are going to get a
- 9:51good player, a player that's going to start on their roster
- 9:54and if you develop him right, he's going to be an elite player
- 9:56in this league for many, many years.
- 9:57Yeah, I'm worried about how raw he is too.
- 9:59Fish. I I was saying there's secondary
- 10:00moves I think is something that has to improve with him.
- 10:03I thought he I think he's explosive but he's not like he
- 10:06doesn't do well against other offensive lineman that can move
- 10:09around. I don't think he has a great
- 10:11swim move or spin move quite yet and I worry about that for any
- 10:14team taking him in the top ten. I consider him more of a mid
- 10:16first run pick like he said, a one year starter that I think
- 10:18still needs to grow a lot more. So this is way too high for him
- 10:21for me. I like being Bailey.
- 10:23Oh, I think that he probably would be the better pick for
- 10:25what The Jets defense is providing.
- 10:28I'm not so sure about his, you know, technique, but that's
- 10:32usually how it comes out when they come out in the draft.
- 10:35They usually a lot of guys don't have that technique because
- 10:38they're not really coached up well.
- 10:39But he does have the speed, he does have the size and I think
- 10:43that they can use him a lot more and the and the 425 Divas that
- 10:47they running and whatnot. But I, you know, they can't go
- 10:50wrong. The metric says Reese, but
- 10:52Bailey is definitely a guy that I think it can be more of an
- 10:56impact round one year round year one year 2 versus every Reese.
- 11:01I think he's this first year. So it's going to take him some
- 11:04time to develop. I think you get more bang for
- 11:06your butt with Bailey. Don't you just think the motor
- 11:09is incredible though? Like this guy, he just keeps
- 11:11going. He's one of those guys.
- 11:12Like the first move, it doesn't work, but he's just going to
- 11:15keep going and if anything disrupts the pocket, he's going
- 11:18to clean it up. He's one of those like a master
- 11:20of the cleanup sack, which is why he did so well.
- 11:22We'll talk about this guy at the end.
- 11:23Jacob Rodriguez really put those guys in great spots on this
- 11:27defense. The middle linebacker.
- 11:29So I I kind of with you guys for me, he's the third of these edge
- 11:32rushers. Let's talk about the guy though
- 11:34that is ranked third in these edge rushers.
- 11:37Let me take this off and bring this right back to the camera.
- 11:39Here it is. And Errol, I've been talking
- 11:42about him for a while. I love Ruben Bayne.
- 11:44Miami edge rusher, obviously had plenty of exposure getting to
- 11:47the championship game. Had a sack of Mendoza in the
- 11:50championship game. three-year starter lined up at the
- 11:53defensive end sometimes in a four point stance, which I
- 11:56freaking love. I just love dudes like this
- 11:58because he has short arms. Everyone knows this, but what
- 12:02are you trying to do? If you're a four point stance
- 12:04guy, you're just getting under his shoulder pads.
- 12:06You're getting in there so he can't do nothing.
- 12:08You're you're creating space. You get under him and then lock
- 12:11it out and control them. It's a certain way to play.
- 12:13It's different. You have to know how to do that.
- 12:16Guess what? He was coached up by Jason
- 12:17Taylor, Hall of Fame pass rusher, Jets and obviously
- 12:22Dolphins before that where he was the best again.
- 12:25LED the LED all College in pressures with 83, most by any
- 12:29player in a single season since 2017.
- 12:32Had the most pass rush snaps with five, 57106 more the second
- 12:37than the second player on the list.
- 12:38He doesn't come off the field ever.
- 12:42Like we talk about guys like TJ Watt, who doesn't used to not
- 12:46come off the field. The value you have not coming
- 12:49off the field, in my opinion, is just unbelievable.
- 12:53He's such a unique body type though, teams are going to pass
- 12:57on him. He had that weird report where
- 12:59there was some car accident issue in 24/20/24 where he was
- 13:03the driver and and the woman died and but the woman didn't.
- 13:07Family didn't press charges. Apparently they were close.
- 13:09It was a horrible tragedy. I think teams know about it.
- 13:13If he drops, this could be the steal of the draft.
- 13:16I like Ruben Bay. I think he's just as good as
- 13:19Reese, just as good as Bailey. I think he's going to be an
- 13:22impact player in the NFL and whoever gets him is going to get
- 13:24themselves a good player. If he falls into the 20s, I
- 13:27expect the Cowboys to scoop him right up.
- 13:30They lost Michael Parsons. Could you imagine getting this
- 13:32guy to fill in for Michael Parsons?
- 13:35This guy's a beast of a man. This guy could come off the
- 13:37edge. You could put him inside, he's
- 13:39going to push the pocket. This guy is as great of a player
- 13:43in this draft is anybody. I think Reese is probably the
- 13:46most overall talent that could turn into a super superstar, but
- 13:50all around gifts that this guy could start off in the NFL.
- 13:55This is the guy I'm going, this is the guy I'm going to go with.
- 13:58The guy that is a short thing right off the bat and he's
- 14:01played at an elite level and you saw what he did in the national
- 14:04championship game. So I like Ruben Bayne and
- 14:07whoever gets him is getting themselves a really great
- 14:09player. Yeah, this is a higher parity
- 14:12year in the ACC as well for football, which kind of was top
- 14:15heavy in recent years, obviously with Clemson and then recently
- 14:17with FSU going undefeated. But I think he still faced a
- 14:20good quality competition of offensive line where I think he
- 14:23still had was able to get the power moves going.
- 14:25He had good secondary moves to go along with it.
- 14:26Yeah. Is the arm length a little
- 14:28concerning Store? But again, I think the other
- 14:30traits to go with this game still justify a guy that's I
- 14:33think a top ten pick. I don't think he'll draft the
- 14:35top ten. Like I said, probably the
- 14:36Cowboys would be most likely to take him first because they
- 14:38don't care about the alleged off field issues of Bane, but I
- 14:40think they're going to get a great.
- 14:41Play I will say this, if he falls to 16, I think The Jets,
- 14:45yeah, I don't care. You can never have enough pass
- 14:47rushers. I, I'm just saying, I, I would,
- 14:51I, I would absolutely do this because when you look at The
- 14:54Jets, if you look at The Jets organization and what The Jets
- 14:57have done over the years, they really haven't had a dominant
- 15:00pass rusher at that edge since John Abraham.
- 15:03You put Ruben Bayne on one side and Reese on the other.
- 15:07You have Will McDonald, maybe you move Will McDonald.
- 15:09A lot of people think he'd be better as an outside linebacker.
- 15:13Now you solidify your, your, your defensive line.
- 15:16You could have the, the best defensive line in the next two
- 15:19or three years in all of the NFL.
- 15:21If you do this, if Ruben Bayne falls to them at 16, I, I don't
- 15:25think, I don't think they pass up on him.
- 15:27I think they scoop him up. In that scenario too, you could
- 15:29also move Reese back to the edge of Pope McDonald and flip flop
- 15:32them even on the same drive too if you wanted to.
- 15:35And they said they're going to use Reese in many different ways
- 15:38in a nickel. They're going to move them
- 15:39around on the line. And you have Will McDonald and
- 15:42you have Reuben Bane. You have an elite defense in the
- 15:45next couple of years. I.
- 15:46Yeah, defensive line with nobody in the backfield.
- 15:49Well, they're going to. They do.
- 15:50You do realize they have two? They do have.
- 15:53They have two second round draft picks and there's going to be a
- 15:55lot of corners in this draft. The Jets could scoop up to
- 15:58second round great corners in the second round, and they're
- 16:01solidified there. And just never get, no offense
- 16:04to have what? Do you mean offense?
- 16:05What do? You, what are you talking about?
- 16:07Offense? They have Taylor.
- 16:09This year. I'm going to tell you this right
- 16:11now. There's a lot of wide receivers
- 16:13in this clash. We were talking about it last
- 16:15week. The Jets fixes with the defense.
- 16:18I'm just telling you you. Start picking up the third round
- 16:21and The Jets series. Is your playoff?
- 16:22Team and The Jets actually, when they made their.
- 16:25Trying to help them. He's trying to when?
- 16:27When The Jets made those traits, they added wide receivers that
- 16:30actually look good last year in the second-half.
- 16:33So you're saying? And they have Gary Wilson, who's
- 16:36an absolute beast and they have and they have a guy like Taylor
- 16:40who looked really good in the second-half when he started to
- 16:42understand this game. I think they're going to be fine
- 16:44on the offensive side of the ball and they still have briefs
- 16:46hole there. So they're fine.
- 16:49I I don't know what you think they don't have and their
- 16:51offensive line is going to be elite, so I'm not worried about
- 16:56that. I'm.
- 16:56Really not. Why are we not going to the
- 16:58playoff stand? What I just, I think they, I
- 17:00think they need another year, possibly 2 to really develop
- 17:03some of these younger players. So that's.
- 17:05Yeah, Bain. Bain is a, is a, is a
- 17:07outstanding athlete, outstanding talent.
- 17:09Obviously the metrics matter in regards to drafting somebody in
- 17:14the first round. His arms were short.
- 17:16We heard the rumors. Everybody was going to use that.
- 17:18Yeah, if he was dedicated to going to the inside or more of a
- 17:23three technique, a speed rush 3 technique and and paying that,
- 17:27then I would think that he would probably have more value and and
- 17:31probably more success in the defensive line position if he
- 17:35was to actually entertain that thought.
- 17:36But we're pretty sure he's going to stay on the outside, stay on
- 17:39the edge and and attack from that standpoint.
- 17:42But you know, with the news coming out about the accident in
- 17:45his short arms, I'm sure he's going to drop.
- 17:48I don't see it going too far. I don't think he'd make it to
- 17:5116. But I definitely think he's his
- 17:53stock has dropped a little bit and then he'll go far from
- 17:57there. But you also look at, you know,
- 17:59the highlights and you also look at the film and you think, look
- 18:01at that. The guy that I'm big on, I came,
- 18:03which we'll talk about later, was a dog, was a dog was a stud
- 18:08was was one of the key contributions to that defense
- 18:11having the success that it has. So, but no, no disrespect to
- 18:15Bane and nothing taking nothing away from he's still all around
- 18:18great talent. But I do think that if he was to
- 18:20entertain that three technique from a speed rush position, I
- 18:23think he'll have more success than he he's aware of.
- 18:26I, I think they might do that. Whoever takes them.
- 18:29I'm, I'm thinking more like not just a three tech, but a guy
- 18:33that you can play like across from like the at the C gap over
- 18:37to the B gap. You know what I mean?
- 18:38Like he could be in a 4I at times.
- 18:41You can kind of really met do some exotic fronts with this guy
- 18:43because he can get underneath the guy and then they can't get
- 18:46to linebacker and then the linebackers can blitz off of
- 18:48them because he's going to get in their face.
- 18:50He's going to play differently. He's not going to try to get by.
- 18:52He's going to try to get in your chest and make you go back and
- 18:55now you can't get to linebacker in the run game and they come
- 18:58free in the in the blitz packages.
- 18:59I I think he's a really awesome tool.
- 19:02Like you're saying, if they move him inside a little bit and kind
- 19:05of dance them between an edge and like a true like 3-4 and you
- 19:09know what I mean? But we'll see what they do with
- 19:12them. Let's go to the secondary you're
- 19:14talking about. What if The Jets go secondary?
- 19:16They do, They might need it. The top corner in this draft is
- 19:20Mansoor d'alene from LSU. So let's talk about why he's
- 19:26ranked at number six overall, which is higher than I've seen
- 19:28him in other places. Only a one year starter at LSU,
- 19:31but started every year his whole career for transferring there.
- 19:35Speed. I don't have where he
- 19:36transferred from. I'm sure you have that for me.
- 19:38But left outside corner in Blake Baker's balance, you know, plays
- 19:42man, plays zone, not elite length.
- 19:45But he stays in phase with everybody.
- 19:46He runs with everybody. He you can't, you can't run by
- 19:50him. You can't break inside of him.
- 19:52He knows where the ball is going to be thrown before it's thrown.
- 19:56He had no touchdowns allowed, no penalties all season in 2025.
- 20:01The only thing is he doesn't have like the prototypical size.
- 20:04It's not great, but it's but that's it.
- 20:07Like the guy is a freaking dog out there.
- 20:09I will say this, Darrelle Revis wasn't at an, at an NFL size.
- 20:14He was like 5-10 and the guy played at a high level and, and
- 20:17this guy plays just like Darrelle Revis.
- 20:20He is Dalane Island. You could call it Dalane Island
- 20:23when he comes if, if he, if The Jets see him at 16, he falls to
- 20:27The Jets. And there's other teams.
- 20:29I I could see a lot of teams drafting a player like this.
- 20:32He plays at an elite level and like you said, he runs the
- 20:35routes better than the wide receivers run the route.
- 20:38So he understands route running and he uses his hand so very
- 20:41well. I don't think the size means
- 20:43anything. I've seen guys, very small guys
- 20:45in the NFL play at elite level and, and completely stop the big
- 20:49wide receivers. This kids going to be a dog.
- 20:51LSU corners have been successful in the NFL.
- 20:55All of them have been successful.
- 20:56I can't even remember an LSU corner that hasn't been
- 21:00successful. I think it was Morris Claiborne.
- 21:01Yeah, maybe that, yeah. And he was decent in some years
- 21:04too. So.
- 21:05But they've always played at elite levels in the.
- 21:07End Are you forgetting Stingley? Stingley is great.
- 21:11Yeah, yeah, he's probably the best LSU.
- 21:13They're all, all these LSU corners.
- 21:15When they come out of LSU, they're always successful.
- 21:17I was like, Patrick Peterson might have an argument with that
- 21:19with Stingley, but. Well, I mean, more recently I
- 21:22was saying. Stingley was a higher prospect
- 21:23at the time and he was like, I just thought as a freshman too,
- 21:26and this kid with Delon and like, I think, I think the.
- 21:28How about the honey badger? Well, yeah, badly.
- 21:32One of the guys to draft him. I remember that.
- 21:33I'm just. Saying.
- 21:35Yeah. And I'm just saying.
- 21:37This kid, this kid has good balance in his game, though
- 21:39mostly a man coverage guy, good range.
- 21:41I think he trails the ball very well as well and play in
- 21:44competition with the SEC that has a lot of good receivers.
- 21:46Kind of transformed more into an offensive conference than over
- 21:49the previously over the years. And what do you go at six?
- 21:52I don't know, but I can see as early as nine with the Chiefs.
- 21:54So just treated Trev Mcduffy. You'll get Dallas at 12:00.
- 21:56There's a lot of possibilities. Definitely at the end of that
- 21:58top ten, beginning of the teens. Yeah, he's going.
- 22:02He's a dog, like straight up, I don't care how you frame it,
- 22:05size, whatever technique. One of the things you look at
- 22:09when you're looking at the corner is patience, where he's
- 22:11just IQ at in regards to where his hands at.
- 22:14So Ben's been that he's small, he's going to be able to get
- 22:17away with some of those tugs on the jerseys, some of those
- 22:20inside moves. He's going to be able to cheat.
- 22:22And listen, the guy is patient, he tackles, he secured the ball,
- 22:26he run the routes before the wide receiver get there.
- 22:29Definitely, you know, revisit, but I can definitely see the
- 22:34activity and the swagger of Tyrone Matthew as well.
- 22:37So I'm I'm definitely you know, he's a one.
- 22:42He's I'm lost the words in regards to how good this kid is.
- 22:45He's one of them ones and it's going to be exciting to see him
- 22:49on Sundays for sure. All right.
- 22:51I got another one of those ones and I'm hoping he ends up in New
- 22:55York. His name's Caleb Downs.
- 22:57He's safety from Ohio State. 2 year start at Ohio State,
- 23:01three-year start overall, played every safety position in a three
- 23:04safety defense of Matt Patricia. A lot of disguises, a lot of
- 23:08trap zones. Some man often was a split
- 23:11safety. He would work downhill in the
- 23:13box and, as you know, made loud hits his whole career.
- 23:19He jumps off the tape because he's so fast and instinctive
- 23:22getting to the ball. In interviews, they're saying
- 23:25that he was explaining to everyone how they run their
- 23:27defense. Like he's a coach on the field
- 23:29already and one of the most physical guys that we've seen.
- 23:33He knows all the routes. This is probably the best safety
- 23:36prospect we've seen in a number of years.
- 23:38He's great, He's great. He also plays for Ohio State
- 23:41Buckeye team that had elite talent around him.
- 23:45And I'm not, I'm not taking this away from him.
- 23:48I, I, I don't know about if he's the best safety we've seen in
- 23:51the last five to 10 years there. There are a lot of good safeties
- 23:54that have been drafted and have been successful in the NFL, but
- 23:57we have to see how this guy develops in the league.
- 23:59His speed is he, he's fast and he can play at a high level.
- 24:04There's no question the Giants could use them.
- 24:06A lot of other teams could use them.
- 24:07Washington could use them. So there are a lot of teams that
- 24:10are looking at him and see see him as a leader on, especially
- 24:13in a secondary. You need that secondary leader,
- 24:16those safeties, you need strong safety in your free safety.
- 24:19He's one of those guys and he can play both positions.
- 24:21And if you need him to play corner like Matthews, the the
- 24:25Honey Badger, I think he can play multiple positions.
- 24:27So whatever you need him to do, I think he can do it.
- 24:30I think he'd be a great draft pick for any team to draft him.
- 24:33I just worry about, you know, being that his his ability and
- 24:37like he likes to hit. Is he going to cause injury to
- 24:40himself if he if he tries to play at that elite level in the
- 24:43NFL when they're faster, bigger, stronger type of players?
- 24:48Yeah, Honey Badger comparison is definitely one that's viable for
- 24:51this for a guy that's even rangier in coverage.
- 24:53I think that even Honey Badger was at that time too.
- 24:55And I know his Ohio State tape is the one that's going to stay
- 24:58out the most, but also at Alabama, when he played at
- 25:00Alabama without one year, they were not a good defensive team
- 25:03that year. That was actually one of their
- 25:04worst defenses in savings last year.
- 25:06And then before that, he was at Oklahoma and they never had
- 25:08great defenses over there. And he still was a a great
- 25:11player. And yeah, Washington at 7,
- 25:13definitely very likely to imagine this.
- 25:15Imagine him at if the Chief, if he falls to the Chiefs at 9,
- 25:18though, is Spagnolo. That might be the best safety in
- 25:20the league in Year 1 or year 2 and that defensive scheme.
- 25:25Yeah, I'm, I'm totally agreement with everything that's been
- 25:28seen. Now this guy's jumping off the
- 25:30on the screen in regards to from the safety position.
- 25:33I, I do kind of, you know, would love to see him, you know,
- 25:37instead of taking a big hit, which is hard to ask, go pick
- 25:39the ball off a lot of times. But you know, he's a guy to
- 25:42stick his his nose in there. He actually goes down downhill
- 25:46hits. Players make plays, very
- 25:48patient, very athletic. So I think that he could do that
- 25:51with a corner. He could go that do that with
- 25:53the corner position as well. So I'm with that.
- 25:57I don't know if he go, I'm a little concerned about that top
- 26:01six, top ten. I think he may get out of there.
- 26:05I mean, he might fall out of the top 10, but it'll be interesting
- 26:08if he's there with him. If he's there at 10, he's in a
- 26:11New York Giant baby, let's go, let's go.
- 26:15I mean, he better be. That's what they need, the guy
- 26:17to call the call the secondary, because they're not that good in
- 26:20the secondary. If they have a guy that knows
- 26:22how to get him in the right place and be physical and
- 26:24aggressive, that would help you would think, right?
- 26:27Anyway, there's one other guy that a lot of people are mocking
- 26:30to the Giants that's left in the top time.
- 26:32Sonny Styles and his name's Sonny Styles.
- 26:35You never see middle linebackers.
- 26:37It's not just off ball linebacker.
- 26:38This is the Mike linebacker. He's usually considered more a
- 26:41run stopper and if they're good in coverage, you're like, Oh my
- 26:44God, that's amazing. He's great in coverage.
- 26:47He's great as a run stopper. He can do it all.
- 26:50Sonny Styles 3 year start at Ohio State.
- 26:52Played weak side backer Will backer and Patricia's base or
- 26:55the green dot meaning he called the defense this past season.
- 26:58Played multiple safety roles the first couple of seasons so he
- 27:01understands the secondary. He's one of the best coverage
- 27:03linebackers you've ever seen, at least in college.
- 27:06All American is a senior. 182 tackles his last two seasons.
- 27:10As good as Reese's combine was, Styles was even freakier with
- 27:15his vertical jump was 43 1/2. Like that's that's like NBA dunk
- 27:19contest champion Vince Carter type dunking skills again.
- 27:23Jumping skills again, who cares what he did at the.
- 27:25Combine. This guy's the big deal, right?
- 27:28Everyone wants this guy. He may not even be there at 5
- 27:31for the Giants. Everyone thinks he's the next
- 27:34great middle linebacker that we've seen.
- 27:36I think he's going to be a good player.
- 27:39I, I, I question what everybody is saying about him because of
- 27:42what he did at the combine. He who's one of the leaders of
- 27:44that Ohio State Buckeye defense. They also have an elite a bunch
- 27:48of players over there. You just made you just mentioned
- 27:50downs. We mentioned Reese, Sonny
- 27:52Stiles. I mean, that defense was the
- 27:55best defense in the country by a long shot.
- 27:58So to sit here and and and say that Sonny styles, the reason
- 28:01why they were or he's a great middle line, but we have to see
- 28:05how he develops. His combine was very impressive,
- 28:07but you heard it from Albert Hainsworth.
- 28:09Who cares? We got to see him do it in the
- 28:11game and in a high level. I want to see that at a high
- 28:14level before everybody questions to try to call him, quote UN
- 28:18quote. I don't know Ray Lewis because
- 28:21he's not Ray Lewis, I can tell you that.
- 28:22Now, definitely different traits than what Ray Lewis had.
- 28:24Ray Lewis was a physical run stopping tackler that could
- 28:27cover. Now Styles is more of that
- 28:29hybrid versatile type now. Again, I'm going to temper my
- 28:32expectations this bit. Errol knows us very well.
- 28:34I wanted the Giants badly to draft Isaiah Simmons at the time
- 28:36at four in 2020, and that would have turned out to be.
- 28:39A. He became.
- 28:40He became a. Giant later, yeah, and it made a
- 28:42couple of good special teams plays.
- 28:44But again, I'm going to temper my expectations with Styles as
- 28:47just other the three Ohio State guys, maybe the lesser you just.
- 28:49Don't know how these guys are going to turn into players in
- 28:52the NFL. It's not really that.
- 28:54It's also how they're going to be used because I think styles
- 28:56is better of a range or like man coverage type screen tackling
- 28:59type linebacker more than he as a pass rusher.
- 29:01They use him as an A gap blitzer sometimes but I want them to use
- 29:04him more in that type of role rather than a stand up zone type
- 29:07guy. Yeah, he he, he plays a little
- 29:10hard to me. That's my only knock on him.
- 29:13I think that he reminds me like Patrick Queen where it's like
- 29:17you got the athletic ability, got the skill set, but sometimes
- 29:19can get caught playing too high and even though you make the
- 29:22play, it's like, hey, you could have had a 2 yard loss, but
- 29:25because you was playing high that you you got the 2 yard
- 29:27game. So outside of that, I like what
- 29:30you're doing. Like I ever said earlier, that
- 29:31was on a stack defense. So it's kind of hard not to be
- 29:33great in those type of situations.
- 29:35But he he plays well. He's he got good instincts.
- 29:38I love to see him get Rick, get off blocks and shed a little bit
- 29:41better and you know, and lower his past because you know, in
- 29:44the NFL that's going to catch you, you start running up
- 29:46against running backs like that, Harry and you know, Saquon and
- 29:49everything list goes on and whatnot.
- 29:51But other than that, you know, great talent.
- 29:54I, I, I can see him bouncing down by the mid round first, mid
- 30:00mid first. Wow.
- 30:02I don't know, man, like the guys sideline to sideline, like, like
- 30:06you wouldn't believe because of how fast he is and he's got a
- 30:09nose for the ball. You're right, he probably does
- 30:11need to put on size. You know, I think everybody
- 30:13coming into from college NFL is gonna have to put on a little
- 30:15bit of weight. You know what I mean at least.
- 30:17Stop with the hybrid stuff. Stop with the hybrid stuff and
- 30:20let these kids eat man him. You know, as a will linebacker
- 30:23in a 425 and they, you know, eventually give him like calling
- 30:26the defense responsibilities from that backer's position.
- 30:29You know, he now is the guy that's covering whatever's in
- 30:32the flat on the weak side, right?
- 30:33And he is better than anybody else that you want because of
- 30:37his speed and his ability because as a safety when he was
- 30:39starting, you know, he just has that coverage ability.
- 30:42And, you know, today's NFL is all about coverage more than it
- 30:44is the run game, even though you got to stop the run.
- 30:46I think he's good enough in the run, but he might just be unreal
- 30:50in the past game, so we'll see what happens.
- 30:52I hope the Giants get them. We could use somebody who's good
- 30:54at linebackers is tricky. Right.
- 30:58I mean, look if he. Could erase some of those little
- 31:00swing screens bro. Like that's a big deal.
- 31:02It's a big deal and they have Downs doing it on the other side
- 31:05if they get both of them Big Blue baby.
- 31:08Is back. They're not right, so let's
- 31:10let's pick up. The pace.
- 31:11Let's talk about the other corners in this draft, and we're
- 31:14just going to talk about next one is Jermod Mccoy's ranked #14
- 31:18from Tennessee. And you have Chris Johnson from
- 31:20San Diego State at 24. Avion Terrell.
- 31:24I love the Clemson kid. I love Yeah.
- 31:26Avion, Terrell, AJ. Terrell's brother.
- 31:28I love the Clemson kid. Him, Colton Hood, the other.
- 31:31Tennessee Corner, So 2 Tennessee corners expected to go in the
- 31:34first round according to this. And then I threw in as a little,
- 31:39you know, just because he's a champion and had that pick 6
- 31:41D'Angelo Pons, the smaller corner from Indiana.
- 31:45That was awesome. I think the two best corners.
- 31:48In this class is Tyrell and Pons.
- 31:50I that's my opinion. I'm not saying Delane's not
- 31:53going to be great and he's not going to be up there with them,
- 31:55but I watched Tyrell play all season long on that Clemson
- 31:58defense. He was all over the place.
- 32:00He's a little undersized too guys fast.
- 32:02He can run every single route. He had his hands all over the
- 32:05place. And Pons, another another beast
- 32:08on the football field. He's going to fall.
- 32:10A lot of people think Pons could fall to the second round.
- 32:13I I think he is an absolute early second round draft pick
- 32:16for The Jets. I I'd scoop him right up, He'd
- 32:18be my guy. So I Terrell Pons, any one of
- 32:22those guys. I think The Jets are right
- 32:24there. They got their one guy and and
- 32:25he's perfect. So I like it both.
- 32:28I think they're both elite players.
- 32:29Yeah, I like Pons a lot too. He's.
- 32:30Gonna probably fall to the second round because of his
- 32:32size, but he's a has a very well-rounded game.
- 32:34I'm going to, I'm going to bring up Chris Johnson though with San
- 32:36Diego State. I think he's a guy that plays
- 32:38all types of combo coverages too.
- 32:39Has very good ball Hawking skills.
- 32:41And you can say, oh, it's a it's a small school conference, but
- 32:43the Mountain West had some really good offensive teams and
- 32:45he played very well for a while. McCoy is the one that I think is
- 32:48a little overrated. I think him coming off of
- 32:50injury, I think he's only really a man coverage guy, not overly
- 32:53skilled as a role. I think his favorite draft him
- 32:55at 12. I think that's a reason I love
- 32:57Terrell. Just so.
- 32:58Everybody like Terrell. I love Terrell, love him.
- 33:00So yeah, I think Ponce. Probably is the sleeper out of
- 33:03this. And then, like I said, the
- 33:04metrics matter. So they probably going to you
- 33:07know, like y'all said, he's going to probably drop because
- 33:10he's undersized or whatever. But you know, out of those
- 33:12three, you know, for the first time in his shot, I have to
- 33:15agree with Earl, like Hans is part is this is the late, sneaky
- 33:21valuable corner in the in the in the in the in the draft Fisher.
- 33:25So he probably do go the second round.
- 33:27Hopefully The Jets do pick them. That'd be great because then we
- 33:29have a rush and we have a a corner that replace Sauce and
- 33:33get this playoff team back on the they got three first.
- 33:37Round draft picks next year, I think they're going to be
- 33:38licking their lips next year because that class is going to
- 33:41be really good. So loaded just to mention before
- 33:48we move on the. Next position group.
- 33:49McCoy didn't play last year was hurt.
- 33:51So the other corner who played for him was Colton Hood.
- 33:54He's up there too. He was he was just switched to
- 33:57defense recently. Just super athletes in
- 34:00Tennessee, you know, that can just run like the wind blows.
- 34:03Remember Jalen Hyatt, he was really fast too.
- 34:05Not exactly a great player. I'm really devious but.
- 34:07He's still kind of. Iffy.
- 34:09Not as well-rounded as the other guys listed I I just worry.
- 34:13About some of those Tennessee guys at the secondary and
- 34:16receiver position. Let's move on to the next
- 34:18position group. I've got edge rusher here, so
- 34:20let's talk about Keldrick Faulk, the Auburn edge rusher.
- 34:24He was ranked #15 super high-ranking here, then lower
- 34:28than I expected. Hakeem Mesedor, obviously the
- 34:31other Miami edge. Rucker kind of played off the
- 34:34ball a little bit more maybe than Bain did, but three-year
- 34:37starter at Miami. A lot of people got really happy
- 34:40watching him stuff the run, especially in the playoffs.
- 34:45And then we have a couple of guys that are fringe first
- 34:47rounders. TJ Parker, the other Clemson big
- 34:50name on that defense, Really good player.
- 34:54And then you have the small school guy, Malachi Lawrence
- 34:57from not really small school, but UCF's edge rusher and Zion
- 35:01Young, who is from Missouri. So we have a few edge rushers
- 35:05there, but I think that we need to talk a little bit about Falk
- 35:08and Mesador here. I'm going to tell you this about
- 35:10Mesador. I could see the Cowboys sneaking
- 35:13up, getting Bane and getting Mesador, getting both these guys
- 35:16and having them pair up on that defensive line.
- 35:19So because they don't have a first round draft pick next
- 35:21year, because it's going to The Jets, they get Mesador and Bain.
- 35:26I mean, they're right in the driver's seat.
- 35:29Absolutely. They don't have their second
- 35:30round pick because that goes to The Jets this year.
- 35:33So they're they're in a really good position.
- 35:35And I think Mesador will fall to the Cowboys and I'm not going to
- 35:39I'm not going to argue this. I think Bain my fault to the the
- 35:42Cowboys too. Could you imagine them get both
- 35:43of them? I think Mesador is fantastic.
- 35:46He's a great player. I watched him play throughout
- 35:48the tournament. I watched him play in Miami all
- 35:50season. Jason Taylor guy, love the kid.
- 35:53I I think he's going to be great.
- 35:55TJ Parker, he's going to be a good player.
- 35:57The Clemson defense, I watched him play a couple of times this
- 36:00year. I think he's very explosive, on
- 36:01the edge, and I love Falk. I think Falk could be one of the
- 36:05more underrated pass rushers in this class this year.
- 36:09I like him too. Yeah, I actually have Falk, kind
- 36:11of. Not far behind Bailey.
- 36:12Honestly kind of the reverse type of player.
- 36:14His production level wasn't as good but his rates are a lot
- 36:16better. well-rounded game. He just was stuck on a really
- 36:19bad Auburn defense. I faced a lot of double teams.
- 36:21Mesador I think is pretty appropriately ranked.
- 36:23Fish I think they said in the description to a guy that played
- 36:25DT for a while too, so he definitely has some power in his
- 36:27game. They're definitely worth it as a
- 36:29late first round pick. Parker I do like as well.
- 36:31I don't sleep on Malachi Lawrence though just because he
- 36:33was like not now Big 12 but previously smaller school.
- 36:35He's explosive, too, with a good, and I'll say this, the
- 36:37Cowboys have two. Thirds round draft picks next
- 36:39year. If Mesador falls in the second
- 36:42round, I could see the Cowboys trading up those two third round
- 36:46picks to move up in the second round to get Mesador to combine
- 36:49them with Bane. If Bane falls to them, I think
- 36:51it makes a lot of sense and the Cowboys will solidify their
- 36:54defense. So why would you take Mesador at
- 36:56the top? Of the second, well, they don't
- 36:58have a second round. Traffic.
- 36:59No New York Jets. I don't think The Jets.
- 37:02I don't think The Jets, they're going to go corner in the second
- 37:04round, especially if they go tie Simpson in the 16.
- 37:08I don't know what The Jets are going to do.
- 37:09You just talked about 242. I don't.
- 37:11I don't for. Three, I don't.
- 37:13Know. What they're going to do, I
- 37:15don't. Know what they're going to do
- 37:16at. 16 when we know what they do at 16, we'll know what they're
- 37:20going to do. And you don't.
- 37:21You don't want Simpson. I don't know, maybe, maybe The
- 37:24Jets. I believe that Simpson's not the
- 37:26guy in the next year's class is the class there.
- 37:29I don't know what The Jets are trying to do.
- 37:31They're they're, I don't know what they're thinking.
- 37:33They don't need Ty Simpson. Gino's are going to bring him to
- 37:36the promised land. No, he's just going to get us to
- 37:38the playoffs. And Simpson will get us to the
- 37:39promise. But listen, Mesador is the guy.
- 37:42Mesador is the guy. Listen, he's underrated.
- 37:45And whoever gets him is going to get us there.
- 37:47I think he's probably on my board.
- 37:50He's probably the one or two and the only reason why is because I
- 37:55do believe in the metrics and I do believe that if you put every
- 37:57reason the right system, he can be successful.
- 38:00But for the most part, I got him right behind it, if not in front
- 38:03of him. He plays already across the
- 38:05board. He has the speed, he has the
- 38:07hands, he's getting, he's violent.
- 38:09I think he's a game changer. Parker would be my #2 right
- 38:13after that. In regards to the three that was
- 38:14listed, he very active, very big body.
- 38:17So I think that he would be my #2 out there.
- 38:20Then fault would come in 3rd. See, I love Falk.
- 38:24I'm a big fan of this guy, Errol.
- 38:26You know who my favorite defensive player for the Giants
- 38:29was? I don't think I've ever told you
- 38:30this. I had his jersey.
- 38:32It was Justin. It was Justin Tuck.
- 38:34Oh, speech. And I wore that jersey out until
- 38:37the numbers wore off of it. I wore so much, so funny thing.
- 38:40You love Justin Tuck. I we've met we.
- 38:43I've interviewed Justin Tuck 2 three times and he's so
- 38:46gracious. One of the nicest people I met.
- 38:48AI got a chance to meet his wife.
- 38:50He is straight, you know, he's just straight to the point with
- 38:53everybody. He played.
- 38:54He. Played until the wheels fell off
- 38:56his leg. Literally gave out on him.
- 38:57He couldn't play no more. I love that guy.
- 39:00He was drafted. He was drafted either second or
- 39:03third round. Speedy from Notre Dame.
- 39:04Third round. Yeah, Notre Dame.
- 39:06Right thing with him, Notre Dame.
- 39:07And they thought, you know, he wasn't going to be able to get a
- 39:10lot of, you know, pressure on the quarterback And they they
- 39:12question a little bit of arm length with him and he's bigger.
- 39:16Well, that's who this guy Faulk is.
- 39:18Faulk is a bigger and they can slide him inside.
- 39:20He plays a lot of four. I already Kendrick Faulk.
- 39:23They're going to slide him slanting into the B gap all the
- 39:27time. Again, get into the guy, be
- 39:29physical, be monstrous in the run game, and then just keep
- 39:32shopping people with heavy monstrous.
- 39:35That's what. That's what Tuck did, man.
- 39:37And it was effective for years for the Giants.
- 39:39Love that guy. I'm down here with OC.
- 39:41Too, so maybe I can do something for you, love.
- 39:44OC I mean what do you have? 6 sacks on McNabb, one time
- 39:48Errol. 6 sacks on McNabb that jet.
- 39:51That jet, honestly, the Giants was crazy.
- 39:53I I actually loved. OC out of all the all the pass
- 39:56rushers they had, he was so dominant.
- 39:59He what? A speed rusher you.
- 40:01Know it was him and DeMarcus Ware and Troy in college
- 40:04together. What a what an unfair crazy.
- 40:07That's crazy. And for Troy, too.
- 40:09Who They just said that it is true.
- 40:11So let's let's talk. A little about safety, there's
- 40:13only a couple more that I want to talk about #18 Dylan Feynman
- 40:17from Oregon. Speedy and I were talking about
- 40:19him earlier today. And then Emmanuel McNeil Warren,
- 40:22the Toledo safety, is the other one.
- 40:24So quickly, he's talking about Feynman.
- 40:26If you were watching Oregon, he was the one making plays in the
- 40:28secondary. This guy is everywhere.
- 40:31It's incredible how good he is. You know, he played, you know,
- 40:34that hybrid. You know, he can be in the box.
- 40:36He could be out-of-the-box. 300 combined tackles in three
- 40:39seasons. Averaged about 8 tackles a
- 40:41start. Very athletic against the pass
- 40:45and is able to get downhill on the run.
- 40:48Not that big so he won't go at the top of the draft.
- 40:51So you're a little worried about that in a run game.
- 40:53But again, like to me, this is like a Harrison Smith type, a
- 40:58guy that's just going to dominate for years.
- 41:00Just don't ask him to be like the physical guy in the box.
- 41:02I will say this, go look at. All the organ secondary players
- 41:06that have been drafted, including the first, the newest
- 41:08one who was drafted by the Patriots at #17 he's pretty damn
- 41:11good. I, I and Feynman is that kind of
- 41:14player. I think he's a game changing
- 41:16player. I love him.
- 41:17I I think he might fall from a top 18 because of his size.
- 41:21He could maybe even fall out of the first round because there's
- 41:25going to be guys that are going to be moving up and down.
- 41:27So he'd be right on the top of the second round.
- 41:30Draft teams might trade up for somebody like him.
- 41:33Minnesota is a team that could use a star safety as their
- 41:38safety. Their older safety is getting
- 41:40there up there in age. I like Warren from Toledo.
- 41:43I think he's going to be a good player in the NFL.
- 41:46He's going to be also another guy that could fall out of the
- 41:48first round. Second round pick could be a
- 41:50steal. So I, I like them both.
- 41:53Yeah. I I I think Feynman should.
- 41:54Go in the first round, but I agree with you I think he
- 41:56probably falls out just because of a size of a size and because
- 41:58of the position premium so you don't really see safeties as
- 42:00much go anymore. But I agree with you Fish.
- 42:02I think he's very versatile, not overly physical, but good ball
- 42:04Hawking skills and very rangy. McNeil Warren kind of versatile
- 42:08as well. The only way I see him going in
- 42:10the first round is if the eagles draft him to pair him with
- 42:12Quinion Mitchell. They play with the college.
- 42:13If you would ask me right now if I were the.
- 42:15Giants I try to move up in the late first round to get Feynman.
- 42:19That's what I would definitely, definitely I would a.
- 42:21Lot of I. Would a lot of candy.
- 42:23Would make up for a team. I would because you're.
- 42:25Not getting downs. I'm gonna say if you if you're
- 42:26saying you get him. At 10 we.
- 42:29Can get. Him at 10, it's too high, you
- 42:30know that's. Too.
- 42:31High. I think it's too high.
- 42:33Listen. This guy.
- 42:34Is a hard nosed downhill safety but I have no idea why you guys
- 42:38would trade up to pick him up. I think he's a second round
- 42:42guarantee pick. He'll be there for whoever wants
- 42:45him and yeah, so I wouldn't trading nowhere near first top
- 42:49ten pick the game. I never said that.
- 42:52So like you're saying like? Errol like if the Giants are
- 42:55sitting with #37 yes, then they try to trade up to like 29.
- 42:59I would try to trade up picks. To try to get up there to get
- 43:02the guy that you want. If second round, yeah, second.
- 43:05Round. Yeah, I thought you.
- 43:06Was saying. First off, like what the?
- 43:07Well, well, if. You want to move up in the late
- 43:09first round, draft, last late first round, if you could scoop
- 43:12them up and maybe, maybe that's the way.
- 43:14To get rid of Thibodeau, you know, you give your pack with
- 43:17your second and you get into the end of the first.
- 43:19I don't think anybody wants Tibido.
- 43:21So I I think people want them. People, people are pretty
- 43:24stupid. That's the wrong.
- 43:25You get a first round. Jet No, I didn't.
- 43:26But I, I I. Definitely you still have I
- 43:29still. Think they no because I.
- 43:30I don't think I think they still got robbed.
- 43:32Bengals need another end. Opposite of Boy and Maffei, The
- 43:35Jets got a first interested in Tim.
- 43:37Williams But maybe there's competition there, all right.
- 43:43Let's let's get to the next one. And this is the one that we
- 43:46almost done with this. We got this in the linebacker.
- 43:48And we're done. But we got the D tackles because
- 43:51now Dexter Lawrence is gone at 37.
- 43:54There's a good chance AD tackle, one of the three or four best
- 43:58ones are available. The only one that has a first
- 44:01round grade, according to this is at #32 the last pick of the
- 44:03first round, Kate, I wonder from Ohio State.
- 44:07Of course he's. Fantastic Peter Woods from
- 44:09Clemson, if you watch Clemson, you saw Peter Woods a whole lot
- 44:13pushing the pocket back. He's really quick off the ball.
- 44:16And then George's D tackle Christian Miller is at 43 more
- 44:20of a second round grade. But again, you know, just a big
- 44:24athletic monster that Georgia loves to have at all times.
- 44:28Talk about those three guys, especially McDonald, you know,
- 44:32just he's kind of smart. He plays these games just like
- 44:36they're just so talented on Ohio State defense.
- 44:38They allowed him to freelance, kind of like how Albert
- 44:40Haynesworth was telling us earlier tonight, you know, with
- 44:42Schwartz, where you know, we got your back.
- 44:44Our linebackers are so fast. Just make sure you stay in the
- 44:47gap you started in and ball out. You kind of see got him do this
- 44:51stuff. I like Peter Woods out of.
- 44:53All these guys, I watched Clemson play a couple of times.
- 44:56I've watched that defense. They, they play at such a high
- 44:59level too. I like what he does, 14
- 45:01pressures, 3.5 tackles. I mean, this guy can play at a
- 45:05high level. I like him a lot.
- 45:07I, I would take Peter Woods over maybe Kate and McDonald because
- 45:11McDonald played with elite defenses, defensive players.
- 45:15So we don't know what he can do when he is the guy.
- 45:19I could tell you this about the kid from Clemson, Peter Woods.
- 45:22I think he's just, I think he's a player that has proven himself
- 45:25to be the a guy, an elite player in the NFL if you give him an
- 45:29opportunity. So I like Woods over Mr.
- 45:33McDonald. Yeah, I like Woods a lot as a.
- 45:35Top 15, even 20 pick for teams seeking defensive tackle in the
- 45:39middle of the first round. I think I, I saw some drafts in
- 45:41the beginning of the process that had him top ten.
- 45:43I never thought he was that high, but because he had a bad
- 45:45year. But he's extremely quick,
- 45:46productive player in 2024, had a bad year last year, but he's
- 45:49definitely my favorite. McDonald I do worry about, too.
- 45:51I think Caleb Banks from Florida, who wasn't on this
- 45:53list, is higher than Come old Speedy.
- 45:55Yeah. And I think.
- 45:58I've seen late first round grades on him.
- 45:59Buffalo I think could as a team that could use him.
- 46:01Miller I like do like too. I think he's a little more raw
- 46:03and he just needs more time. Second round grade for him.
- 46:06Yeah, Speedy said it best. Caleb Banks, man, I'm taking
- 46:09care of the banks of all three of these guys, but I do think
- 46:12that he is the most underrated and he should definitely be
- 46:15somewhere within that top second round pick If you look for an
- 46:19interior D9, you know, actually I had a.
- 46:22Different guy that I really like.
- 46:23I told you earlier, Speedy, the guy I like is Lee Hunter.
- 46:26He was kind of making all the the space for David Bailey over
- 46:30there all season. That guy, I was watching one of
- 46:33the playoff games and he just destroyed.
- 46:35He started at nose and got to the sideline and lit somebody up
- 46:38behind for a tackle for loss on the sideline.
- 46:41Any notice tackle that can move that quick and stop the run on
- 46:45the sideline is a guy I want on my team.
- 46:47If they can get him in like they trade back, say from 10 if Downs
- 46:50isn't there, right, and maybe they get diamond at 20, they'll
- 46:53should be able to add a third and something else for that.
- 46:56Maybe they get Lee Hunter top of the third round.
- 46:59That guy, in my opinion, would be the perfect replacement for
- 47:02Dexter Lawrence. He'll be there.
- 47:04That's the tackle we have late 3rd and early 4th.
- 47:06He'll be there if he's in there in the 4th, that's.
- 47:08A slam dunk in the 4th for anyone who takes him because
- 47:11that dude can play. But again, it's a 2 down player
- 47:13right? So how much value do you put on
- 47:15that last guy to talk about? Last but not least, Errol.
- 47:19I said we were going to talk about him.
- 47:20Spoiled a little earlier with Sunny Styles.
- 47:21The other linebacker on this list is Jacob Rodriguez.
- 47:24He was the lot #40 on this list. I wouldn't be surprised if he
- 47:28goes higher. 2 1/2 year starter at Texas Tech again.
- 47:33Will linebacker in a 425. We're seeing that be like the
- 47:35skill position because let's face it, you want to have the
- 47:37better the better linebacker to be the Will linebacker's got to
- 47:39cover more ground, cover the weak side flats.
- 47:41But each one, the Chuck Benarrick, the Lombardi, the
- 47:44Bronco Nagurski, the Buckus came in fifth in the Heisman Trophy
- 47:48race as a linebacker. Super fast, a little light in
- 47:52the ass in the run game. But some people compare him to
- 47:56like Urlacher in the past game. No, no, like just being able to
- 48:00do that. This the same type of player,
- 48:02very styled Ray Lewis please please.
- 48:07I'm just saying the. Pass game.
- 48:09In the pass. Game, he's one of the best Like,
- 48:12like secondary type, like pass defending linebackers fish,
- 48:16fish, fish, fish. Watch, he's going.
- 48:19To be elite, I'm not saying. He's not going to be good, but I
- 48:23am not comparing him to Brian Urlacher and I'm not going to
- 48:28and I'm not going to compare Sonny Styles to Ray Lewis.
- 48:32It's crazy. Just in the past game I didn't.
- 48:34Say this is a. Stream You're talking about Hall
- 48:37of Famers. Elite players at their
- 48:39positions, the best players of their positions of all time.
- 48:43This is nuts. He's.
- 48:47Not he's not. He's not.
- 48:50And I, I can tell you got to get better.
- 48:52I guess I like. Jacob Rodriguez, I.
- 48:53Think he's going to be a good player.
- 48:54I think he's going to be a first round draft pick.
- 48:56He's definitely going to be a first round draft pick.
- 48:58He's higher than what they rate him at 40.
- 49:00I think he's fast. I think he's proven himself as a
- 49:03college player. I still think he's a little bit
- 49:05undersized at his position. That's that's what I think.
- 49:09I'll have to see what he's going to do in the NFL with their
- 49:11bigger, stronger, faster guys. I've been saying this over and
- 49:14over and over again. That's just my fish.
- 49:15You remember how high last year I was on?
- 49:17Jihad Campbell, and I thought he was a midfirst round pick and I
- 49:19think, well, I think Rodriguez does have some work to do in the
- 49:22wrong game. I think he's a little more
- 49:24complete of a player overall than even Campbell is now.
- 49:26Camera I think is a little faster in terms of side to side,
- 49:28but I think Rodriguez's motor like release on the light of
- 49:31scrimmage is even better. So I definitely think this is
- 49:32the first round pick I got him. Down for going second round, But
- 49:37I do think he's a hell of a talent.
- 49:39I think he's undersized. They probably use them as a
- 49:41nickel if you don't gain any weight.
- 49:44Just have some different mixed up packages and whatnot.
- 49:47So kid is athletic, kid can fly, but he's definitely too light.
- 49:52I don't see if you don't gain enough weight in the near
- 49:55future. I could see him being pushed out
- 49:57to a nickel, especially with the 425 defense that they got going
- 50:01on and all these other different packages.
- 50:05Said to do that, I would I would call it, you know, like.
- 50:07The big nickel, right? That's big nickel.
- 50:09Yeah, yeah, the way. We describe it.
- 50:11I know the. Giants are running a defense
- 50:13with Denard Wilson, big nickel. I'm just.
- 50:16Throwing. I know the giant, Sir.
- 50:18I know that's happening. It's.
- 50:19Always the Giants do. You notice that?
- 50:21That's always. That's all I care.
- 50:22Always the Giants if he's his. Backup plan if.
- 50:25They miss styles and giants. Rodriguez.
- 50:27I've got, I've got contingencies.
- 50:29Speedy. I'm ready for whatever.
- 50:30I know the Giants are winning. For a big tile guy, we get no
- 50:34IQ. With it all season, because he
- 50:35loves the hybrid defender. The Giants.
- 50:37The Giants will get him. I mean, the Giants will have
- 50:39him. Yeah, exactly.
- 50:41All right, wonderful. That's the segment, guys.
- 50:44On Thursday, we do the draft show.
- 50:47We'll see how right I was, how wrong.
- 50:50We won't know how right you are until these players actually
- 50:53step on a football field and prove them, as you say, Ray
- 50:57Lewis or Ryan Urlacher. Thank you to all the Apple and
- 51:01Spotify and when it comes to video and audio, people
- 51:05listening to us and subscribing and tuning in and downloading
- 51:09and all the impressions that we get throughout the the week.
- 51:13Thank you to them. Thank you to all the TikTok,
- 51:15Instagram and X fans, New York sports loudmouth, all the
- 51:19YouTube fans that TuneIn and and watch our show even when the
- 51:22games are going on and tuning in.
- 51:24Jamie Lee, Kevin, all the guys, even Jeff, who is a real pain in
- 51:27the ass tonight. That's our Knicks fan, Jeff.
- 51:29Yeah. He's not in.
- 51:31There, he's a Celtic fan anyways.
- 51:35But he claims. He's a Knicks.
- 51:36Fan since 2023. He might have three nuts.
- 51:38And Eric is a. Jets fan but loves Philadelphia
- 51:41Eagles. It happens to the best.
- 51:42You don't even know why I like. Philadelphia I don't want to
- 51:45know why I I don't I. Really.
- 51:47Don't Donovan McNabb. That's.
- 51:48Why he loves how? Donovan McNabb got brought down
- 51:52by OCU Manora 6 times. In that one he tastes himself.
- 51:56No, that's not a huge. Fan anyway, I've never played in
- 51:5920 years. So he's still my.
- 52:00He's still a. Fan dude I.
- 52:02Followed him his whole. Career.
- 52:03Even when he played up in Syracuse, I loved him.
- 52:07He was my favorite player. I watched him play high school
- 52:09ball. He was always as a kid, I always
- 52:12loved him. So when he went to the Eagles, I
- 52:15rooted for him so and I stuck by it.
- 52:17The The Jets have always been a bad organization, a bad team,
- 52:20But I, I, I'm a Jet fan. Yeah, they have 2009.
- 52:24We went to the. ABC.
- 52:26Championship. Sorry, we're going to mention
- 52:28times. That were good and and they
- 52:30failed to get on a lot of drought.
- 52:31We're going to rebuild. The Facebook, we'll see the
- 52:33playoffs. They've never seen the.
- 52:35Promised land in any of those years so I you can we went to
- 52:38the promised land in the. Sixties 1960, but 1969 they
- 52:41could. Have done that.
