- 0:00Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 0:03Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 0:07Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Trump's leadership.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I'm Christy nom the United States Secretary of Homeland Security.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Under President Trump, attempted illegal border crossings are at the
- 0:29Speaker 1: lowest levels ever recorded, and over one hundred thousand illegal
- 0:33Speaker 1: aliens have been arrested. If you are here illegally, your
- 0:37Speaker 1: next you will be fined nearly one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned,
- 0:41Speaker 1: and deported.
- 0:42Speaker 2: You will never return.
- 0:44Speaker 1: But if you register using our CBP home app and
- 0:47Speaker 1: leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Do what's right. Leave now.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Under President Trump, America's laws, border and families will be protected.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security is.
- 1:00Speaker 4: A sixty forty portfolio dead going forward. So hey, let's
- 1:04Speaker 4: just give some insight for what sixty portfolio sixty forty
- 1:08Speaker 4: portfolio is that historically has been deemed as a pretty
- 1:15Speaker 4: safe way to invest moderate portfolio which consists of sixty
- 1:21Speaker 4: percent in equities which is stocks, and forty percent in bonds.
- 1:27Speaker 4: So if you have one hundred thousand dollars, sixty thousand
- 1:29Speaker 4: dollars will be in stock portfolio, forty thousand dollars will
- 1:32Speaker 4: be in a bond portfolio. And it was now has
- 1:35Speaker 4: been for a long period of time thought to be,
- 1:39Speaker 4: you know, a moderate way to grow wealth over the
- 1:42Speaker 4: course of time, not being too aggressive and not being
- 1:45Speaker 4: too conservative either, kind of playing middle of the road.
- 1:49Speaker 4: That is something that a lot of fall one ks have.
- 1:52Speaker 4: If you look at like a moderate portfolio inside of
- 1:56Speaker 4: a fall one K, it's usually probably a sixty to
- 1:58Speaker 4: forty makeup as opposed to an aggressive portfolio, which is
- 2:04Speaker 4: probably an eighty twenty makeup, or a conservative portfolio, which
- 2:09Speaker 4: is probably a twenty eighty makeup. Right, So that's just
- 2:13Speaker 4: some information if you're just wondering what that means. And
- 2:15Speaker 4: I'm sure a lot of people have looked at their
- 2:17Speaker 4: four one ks or five twenty nine plans or they've
- 2:20Speaker 4: seen different modules where it's aggressive, moderately aggressive, moderate, modely conservative,
- 2:27Speaker 4: and then conservative. Right, So now you have some kind
- 2:31Speaker 4: of level of background understanding of what that means. So
- 2:36Speaker 4: what are your thoughts on a sixty forty portfolio? Ian?
- 2:41Speaker 5: I wouldn't say that as there, but I think one
- 2:44Speaker 5: thing that we have to focus on. Please write this down.
- 2:47Speaker 5: The price in which you buy the asset is more
- 2:50Speaker 5: important than ever. So things that historically have worked incredibly well,
- 2:55Speaker 5: like if you look at the boy market, you go
- 2:56Speaker 5: to TOT that's a ticker. Like once we got to
- 3:00Speaker 5: maybe one thirty two fifty seven. If I was a
- 3:06Speaker 5: new client of that portfolio, that would be a time
- 3:08Speaker 5: to stop buying bonds. Like the bonds of course shot
- 3:10Speaker 5: up like crazy during twenty twenty fell apart. Of course
- 3:14Speaker 5: we didn't expect to draw down. But that's why I
- 3:16Speaker 5: always say, look at the historical numbers. If you go
- 3:18Speaker 5: back to two thousand and four, the low is at
- 3:21Speaker 5: eighty dollars and fifty one cent. It's currently at one
- 3:23Speaker 5: of four to twenty six. I don't know if we'll
- 3:26Speaker 5: go back that low, but once we almost have hit
- 3:29Speaker 5: ninety percent eighty percent value in any asset, you can't
- 3:33Speaker 5: buy it there. What COVID has proven the recession that
- 3:38Speaker 5: we're in now that they want to announce. Is that
- 3:41Speaker 5: discipline to write price, price action and technicals matter more
- 3:44Speaker 5: than ever. Historically, of course, people thought like a sixty
- 3:47Speaker 5: to forty portfolio would never lose, and then whenever you
- 3:51Speaker 5: invest in something, all hell seems to break loose. You
- 3:53Speaker 5: have to be mindful and watch for the prices in
- 3:56Speaker 5: what you get in. And that's why I'm very particular
- 3:57Speaker 5: about the prices I want to buy things, because has
- 4:00Speaker 5: anyone ever bought a stock and everyone someone told you
- 4:03Speaker 5: that it was amazing and then you bought it close
- 4:05Speaker 5: to highs and then it fell thirty The price in
- 4:09Speaker 5: which you acquire these assets are still important regardless. So
- 4:12Speaker 5: whether it's the end that's fund bond, Apple, Microsoft, any equity,
- 4:18Speaker 5: you have to buy it at the right price. So
- 4:19Speaker 5: it's not there. But when we get into these it's
- 4:22Speaker 5: really important.
- 4:23Speaker 6: I guess, I mean, I guess. I'll ask you guys.
- 4:26Speaker 7: And that's one of the things we used to talk about,
- 4:28Speaker 7: is like being aggressive when you're young and obviously moreking
- 4:30Speaker 7: service as you get older. So do you think does
- 4:34Speaker 7: the ages of them inside of that sixty forty rule, right, Like,
- 4:36Speaker 7: is that something that the thirty year old I guess
- 4:38Speaker 7: the millennials should be looking at and saying, all right,
- 4:41Speaker 7: this is a golden rule, this is a safe play
- 4:43Speaker 7: at this age.
- 4:43Speaker 6: Or should it be more aggressive?
- 4:46Speaker 4: Yeah, well, first five thousand people on YouTube hit the
- 4:49Speaker 4: like button. Extreme, that's extremely important to hit the to
- 4:55Speaker 4: hit the like button. Let's let's start. Let's start there
- 4:58Speaker 4: before we go any further. Let's you start there, hit
- 5:01Speaker 4: the like button and share. Now. As far as age,
- 5:05Speaker 4: of course, the rule of thumb is that you should
- 5:07Speaker 4: be more aggressive when you're when you're younger, and more
- 5:11Speaker 4: conservative when you get older. That's because you're going to
- 5:16Speaker 4: have more time to make up. So like if you
- 5:18Speaker 4: if you're invested in the stock market, now, obviously it
- 5:21Speaker 4: was a bad year last year, and let's say your
- 5:23Speaker 4: portfolio went down forty percent. Right, it's bad, but it's
- 5:28Speaker 4: not the end of the world. If you're twenty five,
- 5:30Speaker 4: you're thirty years old, you know it's not the end
- 5:32Speaker 4: of the world. Right, You still got a long time
- 5:34Speaker 4: to actually work and produce income. You still got a
- 5:38Speaker 4: long time before you get to the retirement age. So
- 5:40Speaker 4: you never want to lose money. But it's not like
- 5:42Speaker 4: you're in a if you're seventy five now, the average
- 5:48Speaker 4: life expectancy is what eighty two years old, right, So
- 5:50Speaker 4: now you've got seven years to live. So if you
- 5:53Speaker 4: lose half of your money at seventy five, now that's
- 5:57Speaker 4: a crisis. Right now, you might have to go back
- 6:00Speaker 4: to work and working at Walmart. So of course you
- 6:04Speaker 4: should always be you should. You should each decade, right,
- 6:08Speaker 4: you should reevaluate your portfolio and probably become a little
- 6:12Speaker 4: bit more conservative. But another thing is that people are
- 6:15Speaker 4: living a lot longer these days as well, So it's
- 6:17Speaker 4: like traditionally it's like, okay, as soon as you retire,
- 6:20Speaker 4: just become extremely conservative. But let's say you retire at sixty,
- 6:25Speaker 4: you might live to eighty five. Now you've got another
- 6:27Speaker 4: twenty five almost thirty years of life left, right, So
- 6:30Speaker 4: you still have to have some i think stocks in
- 6:33Speaker 4: your portfolio because you still want to beat inflation. So
- 6:38Speaker 4: you just can't afford just to just ride it out.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Because now with inflation and then when you're taking money
- 6:45Speaker 4: from your account, the worst thing that you can do
- 6:47Speaker 4: in a retirement account is outlive your money.
- 6:52Speaker 6: Like you don't.
- 6:52Speaker 4: You don't want to have to be in a situation
- 6:55Speaker 4: where you have no more money left, right, Like you
- 6:59Speaker 4: want your money to out You want your money. Write
- 7:02Speaker 4: this down. You want your money to outlive you. You never
- 7:05Speaker 4: want to outlive your money. That's the worst thing that
- 7:09Speaker 4: could happen. If you saved your whole entire life and
- 7:11Speaker 4: now you're eighty years old and you have twenty thousand left. Now,
- 7:18Speaker 4: now you're in a tough spot. So the only way
- 7:21Speaker 4: to really have that is to you have to figure
- 7:23Speaker 4: out how much money you can afford to take out
- 7:26Speaker 4: every year. Most people think it's around four to five
- 7:28Speaker 4: percent of your actual portfolio. But you also have to
- 7:34Speaker 4: be invested intelligently. And I think that that has to
- 7:38Speaker 4: have some level of stocks. And now it doesn't have
- 7:40Speaker 4: to be aggressive stocks, right, you just want to be
- 7:43Speaker 4: talking about index fund is different things. You don't have
- 7:45Speaker 4: to put all your money in Tesla, but you have
- 7:47Speaker 4: to have some level of equity exposure. And we're talking
- 7:52Speaker 4: about equities, that's another name for stocks. You have to
- 7:54Speaker 4: have some level of stock exposure because your account still
- 7:58Speaker 4: has to go up over the course of time.
- 8:01Speaker 5: Also to it in a bond market. When a bond
- 8:02Speaker 5: market is negative, it is usually a sign of a recession.
- 8:05Speaker 5: If you look at two thousand and seven. The top
- 8:07Speaker 5: of the market is ninety five dollars and twelve centfl
- 8:10Speaker 5: to eighty one dollars and forty two cent two thousand
- 8:13Speaker 5: and seven. Lights of the Crash. I'm looking at the
- 8:16Speaker 5: ticker tot if your new to bonds, a price that
- 8:19Speaker 5: I like is eighty eight dollars and eighty two cent
- 8:22Speaker 5: for that particular asset, That would be a price I.
- 8:28Speaker 6: Will listen to.
- 8:29Speaker 7: This episode is brought to you by P and C Bank.

- 10:19Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 10:23Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 10:27Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 10:31Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 10:35Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 10:39Speaker 1: Donald J.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the.
- 10:42Speaker 1: United States Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted
- 10:47Speaker 1: illegal border crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded,
- 10:51Speaker 1: and over one hundred thousand illegal aliens.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Have been arrested.
- 10:54Speaker 1: If you are here illegally, your next you will be
- 10:58Speaker 1: fined nearly one thousand dollars, imprisoned, and deported.
- 11:02Speaker 2: You will never return.
- 11:04Speaker 1: But if you register using our CBP home app and
- 11:07Speaker 1: leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Do what's right. Leave now.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Under President Trump, America's laws, border and families will be protected.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 11:20Speaker 5: To add it to my portfolio, and I'm going to
- 11:22Speaker 5: truss it again. The price, so whether it's real estate, cars,
- 11:26Speaker 5: multifamily businesses, the prices in which you choose to pay
- 11:30Speaker 5: for the asset does have a tremendous effect because like
- 11:33Speaker 5: if you got into bonds in twenty nineteen, let's say
- 11:36Speaker 5: the top at one forty three, went to one seventy
- 11:38Speaker 5: nine the next year, but it fell back to one
- 11:40Speaker 5: oh four. So if your equities, your stocks are down,
- 11:42Speaker 5: a your bond portfolios down, it's trouble. Only trust your
- 11:48Speaker 5: own judgment. And I hope that I've given you guys
- 11:50Speaker 5: enough resources to be able to do this assessment on
- 11:53Speaker 5: your own. But most traditional portfolios don't work at scale
- 11:57Speaker 5: for most people. Please be my dful. Only you are
- 12:01Speaker 5: going to care about your money intently. And I've said
- 12:05Speaker 5: this in twenty twenty twenty twenty one, when the market
- 12:07Speaker 5: was falling apart that your advisor called you, for ninety
- 12:09Speaker 5: five percent of people to answer was no, I.
- 12:13Speaker 7: Think this gives context, right, So like that explanation shot
- 12:15Speaker 7: just gave me what you just said. It gives context
- 12:17Speaker 7: because you can tell people to invest early and invest often,
- 12:20Speaker 7: But if there's no context around it, it doesn't you
- 12:22Speaker 7: don't really grasp it. And like when you explain it
- 12:24Speaker 7: in that term, like yo, you can be aggressive because
- 12:26Speaker 7: like if you do this right in the ten year span,
- 12:28Speaker 7: Let's say you start at twenty one and there are
- 12:30Speaker 7: some off years like you might have had last year,
- 12:32Speaker 7: but let's say in the next seven years, the appreciation
- 12:34Speaker 7: that you've been on your portfolio grows by like fifty
- 12:36Speaker 7: sixty percent, and you have average seven percent up into
- 12:40Speaker 7: your fifties. You're pretty well off, right, So like invest early,
- 12:44Speaker 7: invest often, And this is the reason why as you
- 12:46Speaker 7: go get a little bit older, like you said, re
- 12:47Speaker 7: evaluate every decade and say, all right, well now I
- 12:50Speaker 7: can get a little bit more conservative. Right, We've had
- 12:52Speaker 7: these these great gains, Let's get a little bit more
- 12:54Speaker 7: conservative because we're getting older.
- 12:57Speaker 5: Two Tech two index, no stress. Would you'd rather have
- 12:59Speaker 5: Lebron James or Jeremy Lynn. Jeremy Lynn went crazy for
- 13:04Speaker 5: that one thirty five game stretch that like, whenever a
- 13:08Speaker 5: company is producing returns like forty fifty percent, the drawdown
- 13:10Speaker 5: is usually equal. I would rather have a company that
- 13:13Speaker 5: gives me fifteen to twenty percent. Slow and steady. I
- 13:16Speaker 5: know it's boring, but it's safe. Even if you look
- 13:19Speaker 5: at Apple, Apple hired less in twenty twenty. Then Google
- 13:23Speaker 5: Meta a lot of detective competitors and as a result
- 13:27Speaker 5: they have to lay off less people like I want
- 13:29Speaker 5: slow and steady that will win the race. And we
- 13:33Speaker 5: saw last night in the game with mahomes like the
- 13:36Speaker 5: second half that came out, they adjusted and they just
- 13:38Speaker 5: slowly chipped away at the Eagles defense. Damn I was wrong.
- 13:42Speaker 5: I mean I was right on the differential one to score.
- 13:44Speaker 5: But you just have to slowly chip away at these
- 13:48Speaker 5: victories and then put in more shares. So like you
- 13:50Speaker 5: want to ultimately get to a place one hundred shares
- 13:53Speaker 5: than a thousand and ten thousand is a ultimate goal
- 13:55Speaker 5: that you want to have a freedom, but slow and
- 13:58Speaker 5: study will always win the race.
- 14:00Speaker 6: And shout out to Jeremy Lynn.
- 14:01Speaker 4: I know we said, like Jermy Lynch's actually a legend.
- 14:04Speaker 6: I mean because we just sat down with an entrepreneur.
- 14:06Speaker 4: He's elected.
- 14:07Speaker 6: Business was spawned because of Jeremy lyn.
- 14:09Speaker 4: What Jeremy Lynn did, I'd never in life ever saw
- 14:12Speaker 4: anything like this in history, and you couldn't have expected it.
- 14:14Speaker 4: He was on Time magazine cover.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Yes, I mean he was playing for his life.
- 14:19Speaker 5: That's the other part too, like when you watch the
- 14:22Speaker 5: doc and he's about to get waived, so to come
- 14:24Speaker 5: out and perform, like it's a great lesson of like
- 14:26Speaker 5: will you show up and perform?
- 14:29Speaker 6: If he was in New York City, you understand what
- 14:30Speaker 6: doing sanity man? That was a real thing. Shout out
- 14:33Speaker 6: to him.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Yeah, shout out to Lynn Sanity. Somebody said, what do
- 14:39Speaker 4: you think about fixed index annuities?
- 14:46Speaker 5: It depends on your age, how much capital you have
- 14:48Speaker 5: in it, and the rate of return you're looking for.
- 14:51Speaker 5: So if you're looking at it for safety, sure, absolutely,
- 14:54Speaker 5: Like if you're older, absolutely, And of course, like once
- 14:57Speaker 5: you get past like forty or at fifty, you're looking
- 15:00Speaker 5: for safe investments anyway, because imagine like if between twenty
- 15:04Speaker 5: your portfolio is bleeding down thirty forty percent, and I
- 15:06Speaker 5: know some people that happened to in O eight, like
- 15:08Speaker 5: they drew down or their portfolio dropped thirty percent as
- 15:11Speaker 5: they were going into retirement. You want safety as you're
- 15:15Speaker 5: beginning to like exit and going to retirement. You don't
- 15:18Speaker 5: want all of your capital being destroyed. But because of
- 15:22Speaker 5: the economic calamity, so please please please be mindful another
- 15:27Speaker 5: once again, the most important indicator in the market is
- 15:30Speaker 5: quantitative easy. So whenever the Fed begins to tell you
- 15:33Speaker 5: we're going to raise rates or recession is going to come,
- 15:36Speaker 5: that's when you need to start to mark off how
- 15:38Speaker 5: much capital you're going to need into retirement. There's always
- 15:41Speaker 5: signals when a recession is going to come. I always say,
- 15:45Speaker 5: if you turn on CNBC and everyone looks frightening, it's
- 15:48Speaker 5: really bad. Everyone right now looks terrified. Shout out to Frank.
- 15:52Speaker 5: Frank's the only one. Put a smile on the space.
- 15:54Speaker 5: Everyone else looks terrified. Protect yourself at all costs, And
- 16:00Speaker 5: I hope I've been able to help you guys somewhat.
- 16:02Speaker 3: I navigate this crazy market.
- 16:04Speaker 5: If I made your money, please put yes.
- 16:06Speaker 3: And check.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Yes. So a few things here one before we leave
- 16:17Speaker 4: this talking point, because this is important people to understand
- 16:20Speaker 4: as well. When I was advisor, I really fully understood
- 16:23Speaker 4: this that when you take money out, you never want
- 16:26Speaker 4: to withdraw from a stock account in a down year
- 16:30Speaker 4: because then you magnify your losses, you double your losses.
- 16:33Speaker 4: So it's like, if you can. This is why it's
- 16:35Speaker 4: important to have multiple streams of income, but also multiple
- 16:41Speaker 4: investment accounts. Some investment accounts are fixed, some investment accounts
- 16:45Speaker 4: are variable, which means is going to vary depending on
- 16:48Speaker 4: the market. But the worst thing that you can do
- 16:51Speaker 4: is take money from a stock account when the account
- 16:54Speaker 4: is down, because like one hundred dollars, right, if one
- 16:58Speaker 4: hundred dollars goes to that's a fifty percent loss. But
- 17:04Speaker 4: for fifty dollars to get back to one hundred, it
- 17:06Speaker 4: has to have one hundred percent increase. This now, this
- 17:10Speaker 4: is where math is actually important. So understanding understanding the
- 17:14Speaker 4: math on that you know that defense is better than offense. Right,
- 17:19Speaker 4: defense is better than offense. So if you're if you
- 17:23Speaker 4: go from one hundred to seventy five, well that's bad.
- 17:26Speaker 4: But then if you take twenty five dollars out, now
- 17:30Speaker 4: you're compounding your loss even more. So now you gotta
- 17:33Speaker 4: instead of the seventy five going back to one hundred,
- 17:36Speaker 4: now you got to go from fifty to one hundred.
- 17:38Speaker 4: So you're making it extremely harder on your on your
