- 0:00Speaker 1: Bootleg Care Podcast Special guests. My guy representing Las Vegas,
- 0:03Speaker 1: Man Yadas in the building. You already knew, man, what's
- 0:06Speaker 1: going on? What's going on? But how you've been man
- 0:09Speaker 1: doing good? You've been working, working, working, working, man. That's it?
- 0:13Speaker 1: What part for people who don't know? Man? You know? Obviously,
- 0:16Speaker 1: Vegas is a city that people kind of go in
- 0:18Speaker 1: and out of. They go and they do what they
- 0:20Speaker 1: do and then they go home. I don't think nobody
- 0:22Speaker 1: ever lead the strip too much. Man, Yeah, what part
- 0:25Speaker 1: of Vegas you're from? I'd be telling, well, you know,
- 0:27Speaker 1: I'm originally from Reno, OK. So I moved up to
- 0:29Speaker 1: Vegas as a late team. But I tell people all
- 0:31Speaker 1: the time, Vegas got Martin Luther King, the west side,
- 0:33Speaker 1: east Side and north side US. So usually when people
- 0:36Speaker 1: come down, you know what I'm saying, I give them
- 0:38Speaker 1: a light taste of it. I don't take them too
- 0:39Speaker 1: deep around there. And nothing like that, right right, right,
- 0:42Speaker 1: right right? Yeah, MLK and Vegas is active. Yeah, Northtown
- 0:47Speaker 1: is a wild place. I lived. I lived like when
- 0:49Speaker 1: I have my crib there and I owned there. I
- 0:52Speaker 1: was on I was like technically the north Side, but
- 0:56Speaker 1: not Northtown, So I was like Craig in the fifteen
- 0:59Speaker 1: so like there though, Yeah, it was like the last
- 1:02Speaker 1: exit before you hit like up. Yeah yeah. So hey,
- 1:07Speaker 1: but look man, you've been doing your thing for some
- 1:08Speaker 1: years now, obviously heavily MMG affiliated. I just saw you,
- 1:13Speaker 1: uh with Ross. Was you at dres this past weekend
- 1:16Speaker 1: when Drake was there? Not this weekend I didn't go, Yeah,
- 1:19Speaker 1: but that would have been the weekend to go. The
- 1:21Speaker 1: Waffle Color guy was there, as you said in the freestyle, Yeah, man,
- 1:25Speaker 1: I ain't gonna. I had just got back in town
- 1:27Speaker 1: from doing like a like a four city trip four days,
- 1:30Speaker 1: four days for four days, four flights. So yeah for you,
- 1:35Speaker 1: because you know, you have a pretty crazy life that
- 1:38Speaker 1: you've lived. You've been doing the rap shit. I feel
- 1:42Speaker 1: like I first met you probably around twenty ten or
- 1:44Speaker 1: eleven when I was living out there. It's been a grind. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:50Speaker 1: what motivates you to still do this hip hop shit? Man?
- 1:53Speaker 1: Because you are like you're a new artist, but you're
- 1:55Speaker 1: also not that you're a veteran in this hit for
- 1:57Speaker 1: a long time basically like the progress, you know what
- 2:02Speaker 1: I'm saying. And then like if you listen to my
- 2:04Speaker 1: stuff from then to now you know, it's a huge day.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I don't even sound the same, you know what I'm saying.
- 2:08Speaker 1: And then man, I ain't real lie keeping me out
- 2:10Speaker 1: a lot of trouble, you know what I'm saying. So
- 2:12Speaker 1: the progress. And then you know my son, so you know,
- 2:15Speaker 1: he's looking at everything I do right now, too real heavy.
- 2:17Speaker 1: So that's the last thing I want to do is
- 2:19Speaker 1: do some dumb shit. Yeah yeah, yeah, how was your son?
- 2:22Speaker 1: He's fifteen? Oh yeah, he's old enough to me. Yeah,
- 2:24Speaker 1: like he's scoping everything, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 2:26Speaker 1: because you obviously coming up. You did us? What five years? Yeah? Yeah, federal,
- 2:31Speaker 1: I did a fire yeah us How old were you
- 2:33Speaker 1: when that happened? What twenty twenty one something like that?
- 2:41Speaker 1: But yeah, I did five years max Fair prison? What what? What?
- 2:44Speaker 1: What for distribution of weapons? Oh shit, Yeah, that's a
- 2:48Speaker 1: serious distribution weapons got me on a domestic terrorist list.
- 2:52Speaker 1: So you were like Nicholas Cage and the Lord of
- 2:54Speaker 1: War kind of what was going on. Me and my
- 2:58Speaker 1: homie was taking guns down to Arizona and trading them
- 3:01Speaker 1: to the Essays for for coke. Right, you know what
- 3:04Speaker 1: I'm saying. So I didn't know how big those dudes were,
- 3:07Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. We were just going down
- 3:09Speaker 1: there getting it, you know what I'm saying. Bringing you
- 3:10Speaker 1: didn't know who like necessarily how I know how it
- 3:12Speaker 1: was rocking, you know what I'm saying. So we were
- 3:15Speaker 1: doing that, and you know the faces on them, I
- 3:18Speaker 1: guess was part of the cartel shit. So you just
- 3:21Speaker 1: kind of caught astray. Well, we went down there to
- 3:23Speaker 1: buy something, and then one day one of them was like, hey,
- 3:26Speaker 1: can you give me some of those? And I was
- 3:27Speaker 1: like yeah, because my homie had a gun on this
- 3:29Speaker 1: hill and uh, he was like, you give me that,
- 3:32Speaker 1: I give you this. I was like what. I was like,
- 3:35Speaker 1: you give me that whole thing. You said, give me
- 3:36Speaker 1: three of those. I give this whole thing. So we left,
- 3:38Speaker 1: came back, he gave it to us, and then you know,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I went and sold it to my I was like,
- 3:41Speaker 1: it was the best money ever. So of course we
- 3:43Speaker 1: started going back and forth doing that. You know, dude
- 3:45Speaker 1: was giving me a list and I'm like what he needed, yeah,
- 3:49Speaker 1: And it started to get like it started to get
- 3:50Speaker 1: a little crazy after a while. So, I mean everything
- 3:53Speaker 1: happened for a reason. So the last time he gave
- 3:55Speaker 1: me a list, there was like a grenade launcher on there.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I was like, man, I can't get that. Yeah, where
- 3:59Speaker 1: am I going to get? What do you need that?
- 4:01Speaker 1: He was like you can't go ahead, just try yeah,
- 4:03Speaker 1: and I'm like, but by then, you know what I'm saying,
- 4:06Speaker 1: Like a week later, we ended up in cuffs. Jesus. Yeah,
- 4:09Speaker 1: that is one thing. I mean, I'm from Arizona and
- 4:12Speaker 1: there's always a very high premium on firepower because I
- 4:16Speaker 1: feel like they have they're always fighting wars. Yeah, because
- 4:19Speaker 1: we was going out to Tucson, that's where this is
- 4:21Speaker 1: going on at. Yeah. The cartels, every cartel is always
- 4:24Speaker 1: at war and they always need more weapons. Man. Yeah,
- 4:26Speaker 1: it was crazy. It was real crazy. Damn. So did
- 4:29Speaker 1: they did those guys that d up getting knocked too? Yeah?
- 4:32Speaker 1: They when when they came and got those guys, they
- 4:34Speaker 1: wrapped me up and you know, I didn't know what
- 4:38Speaker 1: was going on or whatever, so it was kind of
- 4:40Speaker 1: like they knew what was up. Like, you know, the
- 4:42Speaker 1: fans ain't stupid, you know what I'm saying. So they
- 4:44Speaker 1: was like, okay, what was what was doing? Five years? Like? Man,
- 4:48Speaker 1: was that something that was like mentally. I'm sure it
- 4:50Speaker 1: was mentally taxing something, man, it was. It was a
- 4:53Speaker 1: real eye opener because I did my time at a USP,
- 4:57Speaker 1: so I was the only one in there that didn't
- 5:00Speaker 1: have at least a ten to fifteen year sentence, you
- 5:03Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. So it was weird. I had.
- 5:06Speaker 1: I actually had an attempted murder warrant in Denver called
- 5:10Speaker 1: Colorado Springs, so they had to send me to a
- 5:12Speaker 1: MAX because I was high custody, so they sent me
- 5:14Speaker 1: to a max prison. I mean, it was an eye opener,
- 5:16Speaker 1: like out the gate like it was. It was a
- 5:18Speaker 1: totally different world, man. It ain't nothing like you see
- 5:20Speaker 1: on the tiktoks and stuff I do. Was be in
- 5:22Speaker 1: prison playing around and stuff like that. It's like every
- 5:24Speaker 1: day serious. Yeah, they say like federal, Like is federal
- 5:28Speaker 1: prison nicer than a state prison? Though if you go
- 5:31Speaker 1: to FCI or a camp. Yeah, but where you were at, no,
- 5:36Speaker 1: everybody in there. Had everybody in there, Like my roommate
- 5:38Speaker 1: had thirty five years Jesus. Yeah. My dude, one of
- 5:41Speaker 1: my dudes, pee Wee, I used to hang out with
- 5:42Speaker 1: all the time, he had ninety nine years for what
- 5:45Speaker 1: my dude had thirty five years for drugs. Pee wee
- 5:48Speaker 1: had robbed a couple of banks. But so everybody that
- 5:51Speaker 1: had violence, anybody that had any violence in their record,
- 5:54Speaker 1: that's they were at your spote Jesus Man. Like for you,
- 5:58Speaker 1: was it like like what were the things that you
- 6:00Speaker 1: had to kind of like do on a daily basis
- 6:03Speaker 1: to kind of keep your mind somewhere else? You know,
- 6:05Speaker 1: because I used to write every day. I used to
- 6:07Speaker 1: wrap just right. I used to wrap, yeah, And then
- 6:09Speaker 1: like you know, the homies or the car I was with,
- 6:12Speaker 1: they used to like, man, let me hear that. Let
- 6:14Speaker 1: me hear that, you know what I'm saying. They used
- 6:16Speaker 1: to like to hear me wrap and stuff like that.
- 6:17Speaker 1: But other than that, work out like crazy. And then
- 6:21Speaker 1: when I first got there, it was kind of kind
- 6:24Speaker 1: of a weird situation because I was in a room
- 6:26Speaker 1: with a dude from Mississippi, and you know, my my
- 6:29Speaker 1: homie was like, man, we need to sell. My homie
- 6:30Speaker 1: actually took a sale from him. It was like, you
- 6:33Speaker 1: can't be in this sale no more, you know what
- 6:34Speaker 1: I'm saying. And I was like, damn it, shit worked
- 6:36Speaker 1: like this, you know what I'm saying. This is crazy,
- 6:38Speaker 1: But that's crazy. So you, uh, you before you got incarcerated,
- 6:42Speaker 1: were you dabbling with the rap shit? Barely? Barely? Barely? Yeah?
- 6:46Speaker 1: Would you say that you getting locked up made you like,
- 6:49Speaker 1: howne that a little bit more one hundred percent because
- 6:52Speaker 1: being in there, you know, even like you know, being
- 6:56Speaker 1: in a room with somebody who had thirty five years.
- 6:58Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, he got locked up with eighteen, right,
- 7:00Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So it makes you look
- 7:03Speaker 1: at things a lot different. You know what I'm saying.
- 7:05Speaker 1: You ain't in there with everybody that got two three years.
- 7:07Speaker 1: You're gonna run in half of these dudes on the street,
- 7:09Speaker 1: Like I'd say, ninety five percent of the people I
- 7:12Speaker 1: was in prison with. We'll never see the streets again. Crazy.
- 7:16Speaker 1: So you get out and then is it like from
- 7:19Speaker 1: there you're like, I need to try to chase this
- 7:21Speaker 1: rap dream. Why I got out? And then I started
- 7:25Speaker 1: rapping a little bit, and then you know, I said,
- 7:26Speaker 1: I got back into trapping a lot. And then me
- 7:31Speaker 1: and Natter. Nata had actually made a bet with me
- 7:32Speaker 1: because you know I had like that dibbled and dabbled.
- 7:34Speaker 1: He was like, man if I get a Lamborghini. You know,
- 7:37Speaker 1: you gotta make a mixtape. That's what we bet. You
- 7:39Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. So he end up getting Lambert.
- 7:41Speaker 1: That's how I made My first mixtape, was I and
- 7:43Speaker 1: then two thousand and fourteen? Shit, Okay, yeah, maybe because
- 7:53Speaker 1: because that first you know, my first mixtape got landed
- 7:56Speaker 1: in the hands of Ross and then like that was
- 7:59Speaker 1: like kind of a jump. That's how you kind of
- 8:00Speaker 1: started to link up with Ross because at the time,
- 8:03Speaker 1: Ross is in Vegas all the time, He's with you
- 8:06Speaker 1: guys all the time. That's when me it was first
- 8:08Speaker 1: coming out and everything. So yeah, ran two that's a fourteen. Yeah,
- 8:13Speaker 1: and like I said, the first mixtape I dropped got
- 8:15Speaker 1: in his hands. Crazy. So from there, Like, cause, are
- 8:18Speaker 1: you technically signed to MMG because manage management? Yeah, I'm not.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I'm not signed to the label as an artist, but
- 8:25Speaker 1: I'm signed under their management. Yeah. Like what was it about?
- 8:28Speaker 1: Because I do feel like Ross has always had a
- 8:31Speaker 1: great year for picking talent. We think a Meek Mill,
- 8:33Speaker 1: wild a Pill, I mean, we go on and on
- 8:35Speaker 1: and on. But what was it about, like your guys'
- 8:38Speaker 1: relationship or well Ross had seen I was financially stable, right,
- 8:45Speaker 1: So he was like, man, don't sign to a label,
- 8:49Speaker 1: you know, do your independent thing, and when the labels
- 8:51Speaker 1: come in, I'll come in there and will negotiate everything
- 8:54Speaker 1: so they know they can't play with you and we're
- 8:55Speaker 1: gonna get you what you need to do. So run
- 8:57Speaker 1: with the brand and and then when it's time to
- 9:01Speaker 1: do major deals, you know he's involved, you know what
- 9:04Speaker 1: I'm saying. So that was kind of arrangement on that. Wow,
- 9:08Speaker 1: damn twenty fourteen, that's like almost ten years ago. Eight
- 9:12Speaker 1: years ago. Damn. Yeah, had already I had already moved
- 9:15Speaker 1: out of Vegas at that time. It's been a long grime, man.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I think that first year I even start fucking ross.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I dropped like six mixedteps. Yeah you were. You were
- 9:23Speaker 1: definitely turning up yo. You were at Strip Hop with Nipsey. Yeah. Yeah.
- 9:29Speaker 1: So this is like the legendary grinding all my life.
- 9:33Speaker 1: That bar line that he says, and if you at
- 9:36Speaker 1: the time, I was living there, so I remember hearing
- 9:39Speaker 1: about it. That was that the night that got Strip
- 9:41Speaker 1: Hop closed? Or was that a different night? I think
- 9:44Speaker 1: it was a different night. It was a different night. Yeah, Yeah,
- 9:48Speaker 1: that led to it because I think I remember the
- 9:50Speaker 1: knight that actually ended up getting closed. I think someone died, right, Yeah,
- 9:52Speaker 1: somebody saw right right in front of the fucking door. Yeah.
- 9:56Speaker 1: So give us the night you were there with Nipsey.
- 9:59Speaker 1: What happened? Tell us about that night? Man, That night
- 10:02Speaker 1: was just wild. I think you kind of feeling in
- 10:06Speaker 1: the air when you came in and something was gonna
- 10:07Speaker 1: pop off, right, you know what I'm saying for people
- 10:10Speaker 1: who don't know, because there is some context here. Strip
- 10:12Speaker 1: Hop was a Vegas strip club that was at Deja
- 10:16Speaker 1: Vous or was that it was at Seamless. It was
- 10:19Speaker 1: it was. It was right across the street from New
- 10:20Speaker 1: Orleans and it was open for maybe six months, but
- 10:23Speaker 1: in those six months it was a legendary Rick Ross
- 10:27Speaker 1: was in there, fifty was I mean, it was insane.
- 10:30Speaker 1: So okay, tell us about the night, wasn't it? And
- 10:34Speaker 1: I ain't gonna lie, Man, that night, like you can
- 10:36Speaker 1: feel it in the air, something's gonna pop up, all right.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I had already I had already felt like that going there.
- 10:40Speaker 1: And then I remember this chick I was dealing with
- 10:45Speaker 1: was in there, and I was on in front. I
- 10:50Speaker 1: was talking to her and trying to get her and
- 10:52Speaker 1: her friend to come with me that night, and then
- 10:55Speaker 1: uh I seem like her like go like this, So
- 10:59Speaker 1: I'm like, you know, it was just chaotic after that
- 11:02Speaker 1: a little bit. So what happened? Was it a shootout?
- 11:05Speaker 1: Was it at first just to fight? And then you
- 11:07Speaker 1: know when people ran out of there started you know,
- 11:09Speaker 1: somebody got in there with a gun of course, and
- 11:11Speaker 1: I started shooting. So was this a fight involving Nipsey
- 11:13Speaker 1: or was Nipsey just there? I think it was involved
- 11:17Speaker 1: in him and his crew. I don't think he was
- 11:19Speaker 1: actually involved in it at first. But you know, as
- 11:22Speaker 1: he's starting to spread out people spreading out, people just
- 11:24Speaker 1: start punching and socking on people as they just take
- 11:26Speaker 1: a fucking free for all. Yeah, that's what ended up
- 11:29Speaker 1: happening for real. For I don't want to put too
- 11:31Speaker 1: much on because I know both parties. Hey, we got

- 13:16Speaker 1: best place I've ever been to in terms of dispensaries.
- 13:20Speaker 1: I've been to probably hundreds of these things, and the
- 13:23Speaker 1: experience at Hardan is like nowhere else. The customer service,
- 13:29Speaker 1: the selection of premium cannabis, the experience as a customer
- 13:32Speaker 1: that you get when you walk into the building in
- 13:35Speaker 1: Las Vegas is bar none the best. It's just the best, man,
- 13:38Speaker 1: they are the best. We got so much going on
- 13:40Speaker 1: this weekend. They're sponsoring the Rolling Stone Party on Friday,
- 13:43Speaker 1: super Bowl weekend, Fabulous Thursday, offset Friday, Meek Saturday. It's
- 13:48Speaker 1: a lot going on with Hard Dean. You gotta follow
- 13:50Speaker 1: him at Hardean Underscore Las Vegas right now, shoot them

- 13:59Speaker 1: so much like weed. What are we talking about? Baby?
- 14:02Speaker 1: Shout out to Hard Dean. Man, that's the family man.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Go if you're in Vegas, pull up on him. Man,
- 14:06Speaker 1: Hard Dean last Vegas, right. You know, you know both sides,
- 14:10Speaker 1: so there with or I wouldn't that with him, but
- 14:13Speaker 1: you know we uh we both used to record at
- 14:17Speaker 1: Mall Studio. Yeah, at his house. Yeah when you know,
- 14:21Speaker 1: before all that other stuff happened. So that was a
- 14:24Speaker 1: crazy house to be at. Yeah, it was. It was
- 14:27Speaker 1: one of the more legendary places I frequented in my life. Yeah,
- 14:32Speaker 1: it's crazy too because if you think back to like Prime,
- 14:34Speaker 1: like you know, I remember taking like two chains over
- 14:38Speaker 1: there for the first time in like twenty ten, Like, uh,
- 14:41Speaker 1: I talked Big Sean over there. Franny was bringing everyone
- 14:44Speaker 1: and their mom over there. Mall's crib was insane. It
- 14:47Speaker 1: was like it was it was. I think it was
- 14:50Speaker 1: crazy that people even like hear about because I feel
- 14:53Speaker 1: like once he got on TV and things kind of
- 14:56Speaker 1: spun in that direction. You know, the mystique was kind
- 14:59Speaker 1: of gone. But for a while though, Yeah, that's that's
- 15:01Speaker 1: one hundred, right. You said that you would come to
- 15:04Speaker 1: Vegas and you'd be like, who is this guy? Yeah,
- 15:06Speaker 1: I ain't a lot of people still ask me about him. Yeah,
- 15:08Speaker 1: to this day, people still be like, you know, matter
- 15:10Speaker 1: of fact, I just had somebody asked me about him
- 15:12Speaker 1: about thirty minutes ago. I was just in the jury
- 15:14Speaker 1: district before I came here, did I He Moody said that, yeah,
- 15:18Speaker 1: it was. I don't really speak on his situation too much.
- 15:21Speaker 1: I was just like, I don't funk with him no more. Yeah,
- 15:22Speaker 1: it's a situation that, you know, if it's a you know,
- 15:25Speaker 1: it is what it is. But yeah, but what was it?
- 15:27Speaker 1: What was the crib? Like? Though? Back then when you
- 15:29Speaker 1: were recording, because he had this house, he had a
- 15:32Speaker 1: man that was a dog run with a bunch of wolves.
- 15:34Speaker 1: I gave him a wolf. One of the wolves's mine. Man,
- 15:36Speaker 1: the fucking wolves. I remember I went to a Pettitt
- 15:39Speaker 1: and the thing almost one of them. One of the
- 15:41Speaker 1: moves's mind. I couldn't keep it at my house, so
- 15:43Speaker 1: I gave it to him. He had a fucking bowelt
- 15:45Speaker 1: the giant snake in the garage. He had the back house,
- 15:48Speaker 1: which was like two or three studios. Yeah, I mean
- 15:50Speaker 1: that's where the mottol was. Ain't gonna lie. He let me.
- 15:53Speaker 1: He used to let me record for free. Yeah, he did.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Used to let me record free as long as it
- 15:57Speaker 1: wasn't booked. And then it was a it was a
- 16:00Speaker 1: that that that house. You never heard her no at
- 16:02Speaker 1: that house from the female. I think once they got there,
- 16:05Speaker 1: it was just everything. It was like, this is the agreement. Yeah,
- 16:08Speaker 1: like you know what I'm saying. I think that's why
- 16:10Speaker 1: Justin Bieber enjoyed it so much as a child. Yeah,
- 16:12Speaker 1: for sure, for sure. Yo. I was. I don't know,
- 16:16Speaker 1: were you there? He had a birthday party with Justin Bieber.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Was there, whiz Chris Brown? That Oh my god, I
- 16:26Speaker 1: just remember Justin Bieber was clearly high on something that
- 16:29Speaker 1: wasn't marijuana. And it was just a bunch of naked
- 16:32Speaker 1: bitches serving drinks and had there was the weed bar
- 16:35Speaker 1: with like the word the arcade machines. It was a
- 16:37Speaker 1: wild house man legendary shit. Yeah, super yeah, Look I
- 16:43Speaker 1: don't know all the details of his circumstance, but you know, yeah,
- 16:46Speaker 1: we had some good times with Molly bam Man. For you,
- 16:49Speaker 1: how do you kind of look at like why Vegas
- 16:52Speaker 1: has not necessarily popped on the national scene yet when
- 16:55Speaker 1: it comes to hip hop, because there are some guys
- 16:57Speaker 1: like Baby Kane, who's fucking huge, but he doesn't necessarily Vegas.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Yeah I know, from Vegas. Yeah, yeah he is. I
- 17:04Speaker 1: don't know what's up with that personally, I don't know.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Maybe he's I don't know. I can't even like Neo's
- 17:10Speaker 1: from Vegas. He went to Rancho, but like he barely
- 17:13Speaker 1: talks about it. He does then Dizzy, you know he
- 17:16Speaker 1: obviously I think it's the biggest guy who's Yeah, sure,
- 17:19Speaker 1: a great career. Dizzey's done. I saluted Disney in his
- 17:23Speaker 1: career one hundred percent and what he's doing that amazing
- 17:25Speaker 1: independent career, still doing this thing, opened and had the
- 17:27Speaker 1: store on on Sahara, right, this is definitely doing this then, great,
- 17:32Speaker 1: great representative for the city. I don't know, man, but
- 17:36Speaker 1: you know, it's kind of like people don't understand the grind,
- 17:39Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And I came in at
- 17:41Speaker 1: a point where everything was switching, like right in between
- 17:44Speaker 1: when I came in, was like everything was going digital
- 17:46Speaker 1: from like CDs and stuff. You know what I'm saying.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I came in like right in the middle. So you know,
- 17:51Speaker 1: on my first MIXTEP, you know, I printed up twenty
- 17:53Speaker 1: thousand CDs and on my second one, I printed up
- 17:56Speaker 1: thirty thousand, and I had gave him all out for free, right,
- 18:00Speaker 1: So when people was walking then you know, you know,
- 18:02Speaker 1: I was driving around in a rolls race at the time,
- 18:04Speaker 1: So I pull up on your car in the rolls race,
- 18:06Speaker 1: like here, man, take the CD. It's me. People would
- 18:08Speaker 1: be like, oh shit, yeah, it's free. Yeah. You know
- 18:10Speaker 1: what I'm saying, people, You know, presentation is everything. And
- 18:13Speaker 1: then I was hitting every DJ convention. I was flying out.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I was going to every I was hitting everything. There
- 18:18Speaker 1: wasn't one thing I wasn't that, you know what I'm saying,
- 18:20Speaker 1: As far as all the DJ conventions, Super Bowls, buyou Classics,
- 18:25Speaker 1: you know, everything in All Stars. You know what I'm saying.
- 18:27Speaker 1: I was hitting everything, and that's how people started knowing
- 18:29Speaker 1: my name taking flash drives. I was giving out flash
- 18:32Speaker 1: drives with my name on it now you were doing
- 18:35Speaker 1: all that, you were doing the whole You gotta spend
- 18:37Speaker 1: a lot of money, man, Yeah. Yeah, And I don't
- 18:39Speaker 1: think people people, you know, people don't understand like you know,
- 18:44Speaker 1: for even with getting my first jewelry. You know, my
- 18:47Speaker 1: homeboys had took my money because you know, I had
- 18:50Speaker 1: investor with them on some you know, legal city or whatever.
- 18:52Speaker 1: They took my money from me inbout my jury because
- 18:54Speaker 1: I wouldn't buy it because I was always spending money
- 18:55Speaker 1: on my music right and the homies was like, man,
- 18:58Speaker 1: you gotta start getting dressed, you gotta start doing that.
- 19:00Speaker 1: And I'm like, no, I'm spending money on beats, I'm
- 19:02Speaker 1: spending my studio time. So they's like, you gotta have
- 19:04Speaker 1: an image. So I don't think people are willing to
- 19:06Speaker 1: do that. People were more worried about their image. And
- 19:08Speaker 1: I don't think like people people see the roads when
- 19:11Speaker 1: it's blossomed. They don't see when you put the seed
- 19:13Speaker 1: in the ground and then how you've got to put
- 19:15Speaker 1: some shit on it for it to grow, right, you
- 19:17Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. And I think people are scared
- 19:18Speaker 1: to get that shit on. I'm curious that somebody who
- 19:21Speaker 1: has lived like the life that you've lived and comes
- 19:24Speaker 1: from the cloth that you're cut, like you're cut from.
- 19:26Speaker 1: How do you feel about you know this? There's a
- 19:30Speaker 1: lot of snitching going on in hip hop obviously, you
- 19:34Speaker 1: know the y cell situation. There's just a lot going on. Man,
- 19:39Speaker 1: I think people got to understand. I think sometimes we
- 19:42Speaker 1: expect too much from a lot of these dudes, you
- 19:45Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, just because they're talking about something like,
- 19:47Speaker 1: I mean, we see Joe Pesci and all kind of
- 19:49Speaker 1: mobster movies. We know he's not a mobster true real life.
- 19:52Speaker 1: So it's the same thing as entertainment. So when you
- 19:54Speaker 1: see these other guys, you gotta understand they're just rapping
- 19:56Speaker 1: about stuff they haven't really probably lived that life. Especially
- 20:00Speaker 1: dudes to get on when they're like nineteen twenty years old.
- 20:02Speaker 1: It's like, what have you experienced? You know what I'm saying, Like,
- 20:04Speaker 1: it's not too much you can it's not like too
- 20:06Speaker 1: much dirt you actually probably yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 20:09Speaker 1: So it's kind of like, I think we expect too
- 20:11Speaker 1: much from And what's weird to me is why people
- 20:15Speaker 1: get money and want to go back to the streets.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Which is a big insecurity. You know what I'm saying, Like,
- 20:19Speaker 1: people get money and want to be tough. I'm trying
- 20:21Speaker 1: to get money and be soft. Like you know what
- 20:22Speaker 1: I'm saying. I'm trying to get money and be out
- 20:24Speaker 1: the way. You know what I'm saying. Fucking with some kids.
- 20:26Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying shit like that. You know
- 20:27Speaker 1: what I'm saying, living life you're supposed to. We're moving backwards. Yeah,
- 20:30Speaker 1: Like they're getting some money and they want to go
- 20:32Speaker 1: back down to the hood. It's like, that's making me sense.
- 20:34Speaker 1: It's stupid as hell. And when they do that, they
- 20:36Speaker 1: end up getting caught them situations and then yeah, like
- 20:39Speaker 1: even like like you know, we lost someone like Takeoff,
- 20:41Speaker 1: who was one of my favorite rappers, And it was like,
- 20:43Speaker 1: you're a millionaire shooting dice? Yeah, like a like a
- 20:48Speaker 1: city you're not from, Like why are we shooting dice?
- 20:50Speaker 1: Like go to the casino? Yeah, I wouldn't. I don't
- 20:53Speaker 1: even gamble, but I wouldn't. That's something I wouldn't. Is
- 20:55Speaker 1: it hard not to gamble and live in Vegas? No? No,
- 20:58Speaker 1: I have gambled with my money. Otherwise I'm cool. He's like,
- 21:02Speaker 1: like I got other ways to get I've gambled my
- 21:05Speaker 1: money way too many other ways to give it away
- 21:07Speaker 1: for free. Man, that's fair. Yeah, yeah, no the gambling shit.
- 21:11Speaker 1: I was never a gambler until I lived there, and
- 21:13Speaker 1: then really you start gambling. Oh yeah, man, there's a
- 21:19Speaker 1: lot of lights out there. Man, there's a lot of
- 21:21Speaker 1: electricity bills. They're playing off more than one way too.
- 21:25Speaker 1: I got to Vegas and I just discovered a whole
- 21:27Speaker 1: other world. I was like, oh my god, yeah, it
- 21:29Speaker 1: suck you in fast. That didn't suck me in. I
- 21:31Speaker 1: was pretty like levelheaded the whole time. But like I
- 21:33Speaker 1: you know, it's just like there's real culture in Vegas
- 21:36Speaker 1: that people will never understand unless you live there for sure,
- 21:39Speaker 1: because you always hear people like, man, Vegas ain't got
- 21:41Speaker 1: no cultures, just casinos. I'm like, that's not true, Like
- 21:44Speaker 1: you have to really live there and understand that, Like
- 21:46Speaker 1: there is like real Vegas culture that and it's a
- 21:50Speaker 1: city that breeds like hustle, yeah, for sure, Like you
- 21:54Speaker 1: have to, Like if you grow up in Vegas, for sure,
- 21:57Speaker 1: even if you end up being a valet guy, you're
- 21:59Speaker 1: making a six figure if you're at the right casino
- 22:01Speaker 1: like if you're if you're a beautiful girl in Vegas.
- 22:05Speaker 1: That's the one thing I always thought, Man, if I
- 22:07Speaker 1: ever had a daughter, I could never be in Vegas
- 22:09Speaker 1: because never the chances of her being a stripper or
- 22:11Speaker 1: a bottle girl are very hot. Nine. It's like, man,
- 22:17Speaker 1: and I've seen the progression. I remember I was like,
- 22:18Speaker 1: fuck with a bitch where she was like working at
- 22:20Speaker 1: like Little Darlings, right, and then she'll end up at
- 22:23Speaker 1: the Rhino, and then she'll end up on the internet. Man,
- 22:28Speaker 1: I see it all the time. It's crazy though, But
- 22:31Speaker 1: a lot of people don't understand that. Man, like, Vegas
- 22:34Speaker 1: is one player. I've been through a lot of cities,
- 22:36Speaker 1: and but Vegas is one place where I've seen a
- 22:37Speaker 1: lot of young young men and women riding around Florence
- 22:41Speaker 1: and big like big lifestyles like at the early age.
- 22:43Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. It's a city like if
- 22:46Speaker 1: you know, if you know how to get money, get
- 22:48Speaker 1: money there. It's a real hustle city for real, for sure.
- 22:51Speaker 1: How do you feel like with like you know, obviously
- 22:53Speaker 1: it's become like now the raiders are there, the Las
- 22:57Speaker 1: Vegas aces are there. They're talking about the NBA Teamy're
- 23:00Speaker 1: talking about Oakland A's might be coming. It does feel
- 23:02Speaker 1: like it's growing exponentially, but it also feels like it's
- 23:06Speaker 1: getting commercial. Yeah, I mean it's all you know, there's
- 23:10Speaker 1: always been an element of that. But for you, like,
- 23:11Speaker 1: how do you feel about like the growth, like, I
- 23:13Speaker 1: mean for your real estate value? Yeah, it's good. And
- 23:18Speaker 1: as long as they can come out. You know a
- 23:19Speaker 1: lot of the Raiders, dude is getting in trouble. They
- 23:21Speaker 1: kind of oh my god, you know what I'm as
- 23:23Speaker 1: long as you can handle it, it's good growth for
- 23:24Speaker 1: the city. I mean, it's creating more jobs and stuff
- 23:26Speaker 1: like that. You know what I'm saying. I feel like
- 23:27Speaker 1: terrible city to be a rookie, Yeah, for sure, But
- 23:31Speaker 1: I think it's a good because, man, growing up, everybody
- 23:34Speaker 1: you've seen in Vegas that was had fancy cars or
- 23:36Speaker 1: big jewelry and stuff was either dope boys or pimps
- 23:39Speaker 1: for sure. So now you know what I'm saying. And
- 23:42Speaker 1: I know that because I've had several conversations with people
- 23:45Speaker 1: and they was like, man, when I seen you driving there,
- 23:47Speaker 1: I knew I could get And I was like, what,
- 23:49Speaker 1: I didn't really think it was that much a big deal,
- 23:50Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. But hearing people say that that,
- 23:52Speaker 1: it was like damn. So if they thought that about me,
- 23:54Speaker 1: imagining what they think about the Raiders or somebody like that,
- 23:57Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So it's a good thing. Yeah,
- 24:00Speaker 1: I mean you and your crew definitely were or move
- 24:02Speaker 1: around in ways that most rappers can't. Yeah, for sure.
- 24:05Speaker 1: For sure. Do you think that that was also like
- 24:08Speaker 1: for you, like, because I do feel like there was
- 24:11Speaker 1: an aspect of like if people were coming to Vegas,
- 24:15Speaker 1: there was like you and Natter right, there was like mall.
- 24:19Speaker 1: It's like these guys who kind of were like gatekeepers
- 24:21Speaker 1: of the city, like it being smart to tap in,
- 24:24Speaker 1: not necessarily like you guys were like yo, you gotta
- 24:26Speaker 1: tap No, Yeah, people just can't fuck with it. But
- 24:28Speaker 1: I feel like that's what attracted Ross to me and
- 24:31Speaker 1: who was this fucking guy with all this ice and yeah,
- 24:34Speaker 1: because I pulled up on when I met Ross, I
- 24:36Speaker 1: was in the Phantom, but even majority of my features,
- 24:42Speaker 1: like even the when I got with Kevin Gates. You know,
- 24:43Speaker 1: I met Kevin Gates in New York and I was
- 24:47Speaker 1: super heavy at the time. I had on hell and shit,
- 24:49Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. First thing he said, he
- 24:51Speaker 1: was like, where are you from me? I was like,
- 24:54Speaker 1: for Vegas. First thing he said, He's like, man, you
- 24:56Speaker 1: look like you know what's going on around there. I
- 24:59Speaker 1: was like, yeah, dude, So you know, we tapped in
- 25:01Speaker 1: like that. And I ain't gonna lie a lot of
- 25:03Speaker 1: people because of the because of the look. You know
- 25:05Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Yeah, I mean that's and that is
- 25:07Speaker 1: that is something that there is something to be said that.
- 25:10Speaker 1: You know, if you do buy jewelry as an artist,
- 25:13Speaker 1: it's kind of an investment, it is, but you gotta
- 25:15Speaker 1: have something to back it up to. You gotta have
- 25:17Speaker 1: something to back it up. You can't have all the
- 25:19Speaker 1: jewelry and then hop into its specific and they don't
- 25:21Speaker 1: have it, yeah for real, right, And they don't have
- 25:23Speaker 1: no music out either. Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 25:25Speaker 1: It's a lot of people the music first. There's a
- 25:27Speaker 1: lot of people who got a lot of jewelry and
- 25:28Speaker 1: no music. It's like, come on, bro, or the music.
- 25:31Speaker 1: They don't take the Craft series, Yeah, they don't. Yeah,
- 25:34Speaker 1: And I think that's the problem. That's the biggest problem. Hey,
- 25:37Speaker 1: we got to stop the interview to tell you about

- 28:44Speaker 1: and culture in Vegas still very prevalent? Super, I don't
- 28:47Speaker 1: think that's ever gonna go anywhere. I don't think it's
- 28:49Speaker 1: ever gonna go anywhere. But we think of, like I
- 28:51Speaker 1: was talking to Sharp a little bit about this, just
- 28:54Speaker 1: terms of like how that world has evolved, Super, because
- 29:00Speaker 1: the Internet. But what's crazy is, Man, you can still
