  These are six of the stories that we're

  following today at Becker's Healthcare. I found some

  of them to be particularly interesting this week.

  Hopefully, you will as well.

  First,

  hospitals face growing fallout from ACA coverage cliff.

  Essentially, some serious impact
• 0:20
  as some of the payers move out of
• 0:22
  the ACA marketplace in certain places
• 0:25
  and also as consumers start to see less
• 0:27
  subsidies there. So so some real impact you're
• 0:30
  seeing at big, big systems.
• 0:32
  Second, another story that we're following is artificial
• 0:35
  intelligence
• 0:36
  is starting to find potential cancer and cancer
• 0:38
  earlier.
• 0:40
  And the article is, our system is ready
• 0:42
  for what comes next.

  It's a fascinating piece. You're starting to see
• 0:46
  very early diagnosis
• 0:47
  of precancer in all kinds of different ways,
• 0:50
  and it's sort of scary because you know
• 0:51
  what's in your body, but you don't know
• 0:53
  exactly what you could do about it because
• 0:55
  vaccines and treatments and and options for it
• 0:57
  aren't yet there. So sort of a fascinating
• 0:59
  evolution.

  Third, UPMC,

  to buy a system from CommonSpirit
• 1:05
  and enter Ohio,
• 1:07
  this probably makes great sense for the adjacency
• 1:10
  to UPMC,
• 1:11
  and they're trying to get more lean at
• 1:13
  CommonSpirit.
• 1:14
  Currently, CommonSpirit is about a 137
• 1:17
  hospitals.
• 1:17
  UPMC has 40. And and, also, you you
• 1:20
  UPMC is all over the world, which I
• 1:23
  think not everybody sort of understands.

  The fourth story we're following,
• 1:28
  is a story about Judy Faulconer in Epic,
• 1:31
  why Epic has only lost one customer. That
• 1:33
  might Judy's overstatement still directionally very, very true.

  It's remarkable that
• 1:39
  the vision and discipline and overall skills and
• 1:42
  drive that Judy Faulkner has in that epic
• 1:44
  he has. It's amazing what they've done.
• 1:46
  The fifth story that I'm following, and, again,
• 1:48
  a fascinating story,
• 1:49
  is the next phase of the GLP boom.
• 1:52
  GLPs have now moved to a $130,000,000,000
• 1:55
  in business done in 2025.
• 1:57
  Medicare is gonna start covering them for obesity.

  I'm amazed at some events that I go
• 2:02
  to, how many people look so much thinner
• 2:05
  than I've seen them since literally in twenty
• 2:07
  years.
• 2:08
  And that's good. It is what it is.

  Finally, sixth, based on the Medscape
• 2:13
  report,
• 2:14
  seven physician specialties saw paint drops.
• 2:17
  Some of these highlights some of these include
• 2:19
  pain management,
• 2:21
  nephrology,
• 2:22
  dermatology,
• 2:24
  oncology and hematology,
• 2:25
  pulmonary medicine,
• 2:27
  allergy and immunology,
• 2:29
  and psychiatry. And it's sort of amazing you
• 2:31
  see these challenges in pay in It's some
• 2:33
  of these specialties that are really struggling financially.

  I I think just really interesting. In any
• 2:38
